Russ installed a Pentair Fleck 5600 SXT water softening system for me in my garage (new construction home). He also set up a custom harnessing system to keep my tank secured. He was on time, communicative, efficient, and installed the system with great attention to detail and quality.  He cleaned up and was easy to work with. I was very satisfied with Russ's service and will be using him again for some other plumbing projects that I have planned.

Jacob and Alex were awesome!   We had a plumber from Roto Rooter who completely botched the job.   J&A were able to correct the problem, do things the right way, and were very efficient, clean and professional.  They clearly had the correct expertise and were also quite pleasant to deal with.  The estimate process was very fast and accurate as well.

Steve came and repaired our toilet for my shop and he's great!  He arrived within an hour of calling him and went straight to work fixing our problem in less than an hour so that we could be back up and running in no time!  Going forward we'll call him for all our plumbing needs because he's fast, reliable and most importantly honest!  :)

Issac and Gary were prompt, super helpful and cleaned up after themselves! Amazing service, I'd be happy to use them again.

Called and spoke to Victor on Saturday morning due to my rentals sink that was backed up.  Victor said they had a few jobs ahead of me but would call when they were on their way.  Approx 2hrs later he called and said his worker was on his way.  The worker showed up and took care of the problem.  

Great communication by keeping me updated and his price was fair for a last minute Saturday call.  

I put his number in my save file.  Very impressed.  Thank you.

Update- Another leaky sink at our home (12/18).  Called Victor Saturday night and asked him if he come Sunday morning and put in a new faucet.  At first he said they couldn't then he said he would call me back and check to see if one of his guys could.  Called back in 5 minutes and said he would be over first thing in the morning.  They installed my new faucet with no problem.  Again great service and he did not leave us without a kitchen faucet for the weekend.  Thanks!!

9/23 - Now a broken water main.  Called Victor on Friday at about 3:30.  Victor sent Juan out who arrived at about 4:45.  The job was too big to start on Friday but Juan came at 8am Saturday morning.  By 11:00 he was done and did a great job.  I can say enough good things about Victors prompt service and Juans excellent work.  Thank you once again.  (BTW their price was excellent)

These guys are great.  Honest, hardworking and they know their stuff. They  came to my house mid-afternoon Saturday. The problem was difficult and time consuming to solve.  They hung in there and got it done . I have an old house and have used them several times over the years.  They have delivered every time.

The service technician visited my house, told he could do the work and the administrative assistant confirmed that he could do the work.  I never received the quote and was told that he needed to come again to provide the formal quote.  After multiple emails and rescheduled appointments they just stopped responding.  Definitely not reliable.

Needed a plumber for a variety of plumbing needs around the house.  Called a few and was not impressed.  Called Tom's and Scott, got an answer on the second ring, an understanding of the scope of my needs and a plumber out at an agreed time.  Now the pricing.  I was expecting the typical service charges and add on's  Nope, nada, zilch.  So it was straight  hourly rate plus any parts.  Cody showed up on time, covered the punch list, noticed a potential problem and we spoke and I agreed it needed his attention.  At the end, it was as stated.  Hourly, no BS no add on's.  I was impressed with the quality, efficiency and pricing to get this done.  No hesitation in using them again or giving them a shout out with my friends etc.

I needed a gas shutoff valve installed for our dryer, so I gave Barnett Plumbing a call and got an appointment with Matt. Matt was very professional and knowledgeable, and he explained what steps he was taking so I could respond appropriately in the event of a gas leak. Super fun guy to talk to and learn from. I really appreciated that as I am learning more about the new home. I will definitely be calling Barnett Plumbing for future inquiries. Thanks Matt!

BVP came out on a Saturday to replace a leaking water heater and had the job done quickly and very professionally. Great service, great price, and was a pleasure to work with! Was a referral from my mom, so I should have known they were going to be good!

Good help is really hard to come by these days.  We had water damage from the series of storms here in the Bay Area and I had to call upon someone without vetting too many bids.  Anar came in at a reasonable rate and I'm very glad I went with him.  Him and his uncle worked for the past two weeks tirelessly doing the investigation and repairs. I'm was very impressed by their professionalism and how everything was turnkey.  They laid down resin paper everywhere, covered up everything and really put a lot of attention to detail - something that's very important to me given how much time and effort I put into the finishes when we built our home. They worked well into the evening and weekends and I really admire their work ethic and wish them much success. Anar even quickly fixed a door that had been catching while he was on his way out! I'll be using them for various projects that have been on my weekend list now that I've seen the quality and effort they put into it.

I found Matt through Yelp. We had a plumbing emergency (clogged mainline sewer) on Jan 1 and Matt was the only plumber who was available and he answered the phone promptly. A couple of other plumbing agencies got back to me (after I left text messages) and quoted double and triple their usual rates since it was a holiday. Matt arrived within 15 minutes and he immediately diagnosed what the problem was. He snaked the main sewer line and cleaned out roots that had grown within the pipe. He also gave us recommendations on how to fix this problem in the long term. Matt is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and has very reasonable rates. He even emailed us a e-receipt and accepted payment through check (no sketchy cash-only payments). I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I've used Garrison plumbing on 3 different occasions. Each time they have been prompt, professional and reasonable. I was in a real bind recently due to the failure of a water heater at a vacation rental property I own. With guests scheduled to arrive in two days, I was in a desperate situation and called Garrison Plumbing. Whereas other professionals may have been unavailable or charged extra because of the emergency nature of the situation, Phil came off another job to asses the situation. Within 24 hours he had removed the old heater and installed the new one. It was all done at a fair price, and I didn't lose any rental income. Phil Garrison is a stand up guy who aims to please. It's great to have a person in the trades on who I can rely and trust.

Andrew came to the rescue on a hot day he repaired my AC. I truly appreciate his transparency. He was the only one out of five vendors that told me upfront the cost of Freon and his fee. My repair request was incorrect. With that said he figured out the issue and charged me a fair price. If you want someone trustworthy with experience, I highly recommend AY EMP. It is a pleasure to work with a the second generation of local contractors that care. Thank you AY EMP

Needed my water heater replaced.  Chris came right over to give an estimate, and was able to answer all my questions about what type of heater to replace it with, and any code upgrades that were needed.  

He was able to do the replacement on a Sunday, it only took a couple of hours, and was a very neat and professional job.

I would not hesitate to use Smart Plumbers (and especially Chris) again for any plumbing jobs in the future.

I have used Ace several times in the past at my SF multi-unit building with good results.  I think they have some good plumbers.  However, I just had a bad experience with one of their plumbers (Scotty) who promised my tenants to return to complete a faucet repair and after a week of broken promises to return, never showed up.  I had to use another plumbing company to finish the job.
The office person handling my inquiries was excellent and helpful and called the plumber to go to the job, so I can't fault the office or business in general.  Unfortunately, their company policy will not allow them to send out a replacement or alternate plumber once a plumber has started a job.  I am hoping management will take any necessary steps to correct this problem.
