Victor and his crew have been a rescuer for me and my rental property in San Jose on numerous occasions.  It has  become an instinct for me to call Victor whenever I have a plumbing issue, because I know he is always accessible and ready to help.  It is amazing how he always picks up his phone no matter what weird hour I call, and can always send someone over same day or the next day, and of course his very skillful workers always do a great job solving the problem, whether it is clogged bathroom, or malfunctioned water heater.  Plumbing issues are always urgent and can cause a lot of stress if not addressed immediately, and it is important for a homeowners to have a plumbers they trust.  I'm glad to have found Happy Rooter and can see myself doing business with Victor and his crew for many more years!

Our sewer line was clogged and Happy Rooter came out to evaluate. It was $400 to come out and scope our line and make a very small hole in the roots clogging the line. They located where the stoppage was and said they couldn't grind out the root.

Then said they wanted to replace the line from the house to the street and install a clean out by the house and a City clean out by the sidewalk. (Even though we had a perfectly good clean out valve right next to the driveway). For$8,000. I asked why, since the existing clean out and line were in perfect condition.

So, we went to where the stoppage was and he wanted to dig up the ground and replace the line with the blockage and install a City clean out for $4,000. I said too much and he then went to $3,000. Of course this was the CASH price.

In the end we went with Capitol Plumbing who, within an hour, cleared the blockage AND located the existing City clean out I didn't know was already there. For $700.

Discovered the toilets weren't flushing in our bathrooms. Called and spoke with Victor, he quoted fixed price and swiftly organized availability within the hour. I'd called around a few other places and struggled to even get pricing, so this was a breath of fresh air.

Once his workers arrived (on time) they quickly unblocked the main sewer line through access on the front lawn, even mentioning they'd pop back in a few days to confirm everything was A-OK.

Overall excellent service both over phone and in person. Thanks Victor & team! Definitely going in my contact book in case needed next time.

We developed a small leak in an old galvanized connector leading from our main water valve outside our garage to our irrigation system, leaking about a gallon of water per hour. We called Happy Rooter at 650p and they came to the house that night. Because rot was already dark and the leak wasn't terrible,  they agreed to come back the next morning to replace our tee connector with a brass connector, as well as replace the PVC irrigation pipe with new, copper piping. They have us a very reasonable quote and we agreed to have them do the work.

Victor's crew came back the next morning, a little later than quoted, but finished the job within an hour. The price was right and the work was done well. Great to have them open and available in the evening and able to come by on such short notice. Would recommend and use them again for future needs.

Pgne detected a minor gas leak in our house and that's where I contacted Happy Router to get it fixed. A plumber named Jaun arrived the same day and asked for $400 just to identify the leak. He finally settled for $325 if I paid in cash. He did the leak test and identified the leak at one of the joints. He recommended to replace a 15 foot pipe and for that he quoted $2800 to get it done ($2200 if I give cash). This plumber might be knowledgeable, but the rates he quoted were too high. I got help from the original contractor who did this gas plumbing work and he fixed it for free as it was covered in warranty. I would definitely not recommend Jaun for any work.

When my bathtub filled up with nasty water I thought for sure it was going to be a multi-day journey of stank, but no! Victor st Happy Rooter sent a couple of guys within an hour or so and 30 minutes later I was happily bleaching the heck out of my now empty bathtub. I'm so grateful!!

After having a hot water leak underneath our house. Victor was kind enough to reach out to his technician Richard to stop by right away at night to take a look at our issue. Next morning Richard stopped by to fix the problem since parts were needed and repaired quickly with no issues .

I've called other 24 hr places and most weren't available right away. Happy rooter were very honest and gave a good price for emergency repair .   I would recommend to use there fast profesional service again.  Thanks again

A termite inspector found a puddle of water under our house. Called Victor with Happy Rooter. He was able to send a crew out very quickly. Our very old sewage pipes had rotted through. Victor's crew was able to start the same day. 2 days of work to replace all the sewage pipes in our house. Price was very reasonable. Crew was great, very happy with the service. I will definitely call Victor with Happy Rooter if I have any future plumbing needs.

Called Happy Rooter on a Saturday morning to fix the clogged toilet and bath tub. Victor was very professional gave me a 2 hour window for the technician to show up. The technician, Richardo was on time, check out the issue and gave me price. The issue was taken care in 30 mins and was done very well. Highly recommended

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars because I think the price was high . $225( cash) for 2 jobs - unclogging the toilet and bath tub.

Called Happy Rooter at 3pm on a Saturday for emergency services at my mother's house. Talked to Victor and was kind enough to schedule me a time for a technician to come over. Was a bit of worried due to will be dark soon in case any kind of outside work. Few moments later Ricardo, the technician showed up and fixed the clogged main sewer line. All work was completed in a very short time while there's still available light outside. Excellent service, courteous, efficient, honest and affordable. I'll save their info on my cell for any future plumbing services. I would strongly recommend Happy Rooter for any specialized professional plumbing services/project.

Why does your sewer line always clog on a Sunday? Oh well.
I've used Happy Rooter 3 times in the last 4 years. They always arrive within the hour. It's awesome not to have to waste away the day waiting for a plumber that never arrives, which is what we used to do before we found Happy Rooter. I cannot recommend them enough. Five stars.

Amazing response time and service.

Saturday following Thanksgiving Day and my sink is stopped up. One call to Victor and within 30 minutes a tech was on site!!! No mark up on pricing either.

We have used Happy Rooter in the past, so we called them out again when our shower backed up this weekend. Ricardo came out, tried to snake the pipe, was unsuccessful, and said he would need to come back with a longer snake. Victor called and said he could get someone else to come back at 7pm the next day. Well, they never showed, never called, and just left us in the lurch! Our shower had about an inch of standing sewage water for over 24 hours. I wouldn't recommend Happy Rooter to anyone. Call Roto Rooter instead!!!

Sunday afternoon, our shower and a sink wouldn't drain and water rose up in a sink downstairs without it being used. Called multiple rooters most if whom were busy or quoted some outrageous price to come take a look.
Happy rooters gave a very reasonable quote and Richard came by the same evening. He is probably the nicest person to fix something in our house, unclogged  the line in quick time and cleaned up even the tiniest of the spills that occurred while he unclogged the line.

Highly recommend these guys for their quick, thorough and honest work.

One of our toilets backed up and there was no explanation. When I opened the cleanout in front of the house out came icky water all backed up - our main sewer line was backed up and after normal business hours.  Victor's guy Juan came out within two hours and cleared the clog with a plumber's snake but also ran into an obstruction in the pipe that he couldn't clear. The next morning they discovered using a camera that not only was there a clog but dirt in the line (not okay in a sewer line) from some sort of break in the main line under our driveway!

What we'd hoped would be a quick fix turned out much pricier--a trenchless install of 20 ft of new pipe underneath my driveway--but these guys were honest and open the whole process and helped me find the least invasive option! Ands completed all of that in less than 24 hours from my first phone call!

Shower needed to be snaked and since that was such a small job, we had them install a new bathroom faucet. Non-emergency appointment. 1.5 hrs total time. Zero parts. $450. Total Ripoff!!

My sewer cleanout was clogged and I called up Happy Rooter and spoke to Victor to get an estimate.  He was very prompt and told me he would get back to me because he needed to check with his tech guy on his availability.  As promised, he called back and told me his tech guy could be onsite between 12pm and 2:00pm because his tech guy was at another site doing some work.

Prior to the tech guy arrival, I get a text and call from Victor confirming his tech is on route to my home.

Richard, the tech guy, knew exactly what needed to be done and was in-n-out within 30 min or less.  FAST SERVICE!

Lastly, which was unexpected, Richard informed me I had a one month warranty when he handed me my receipt.  I'm glad they stand behind their work!

We had an overflow that started coming from the bottom of one toilet. I ordered a wax ring hoping it was just the toilet ring that hasn't been serviced in year, I was wrong . The next day my wife worked from home and was running the washer and dishwasher and noticed that everything was leaking! She stopped immediately and we called Happy Rooter (Victor) who showed up in less than 2hrs from the time we called! The guys hauled equipment under the house too only discover we had a access point in the drive that looked like an old receptacle outlet. Nonetheless they had the main unplugged in an hour!!! I failed to mention that I am on Mt. Hamilton's d slightly remote. I just wanted to  say thank you for the fast remedy and great price!!!

5  star Customer service from start to finish and even follow up!! Victor was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Always answered his phone and he always called back when he said he would. That is so important during a plumbing emergency at 10pm-11pm in the middle of the week!!

Victor set up an appointment with us and was here early. Which was great! Most of the time people are late! So seeing his van parked outside was reassuring. He waited until the appointment time and he was very professional and courteous.

We really appreciated all of his professionalism and promptness and he hasn't even done the actual work yet! And of course he did a great job diagnosing our problem  and quickly fixing it!

Very fair pricing for such high quality customer service! He checked every box for a contractor that you'd want to work on your place.
Professional, on time, experienced, kept his work area clean, did quality work, personable and fair pricing and was easy to communicate with, did what he said he'd do and didn't try to gouge us.

The plumber they sent charged us $1900 for fixing an outdoor broken pipe...and it turned out that they didn't fix it correctly. Then they said it would be an additional $8000 to really fix the issue.

We got a second opinion and had the issue fixed by another plumber for only $900.

We used them based on other Yelp reviews, and I'm thinking that either (1) they have a lot of fake reviews (not uncommon in this industry) or (2) they thought they could take advantage of a woman who didn't know any better. Either way, what they charged and the fact that they didn't really address the issue is something we are considering taking them to court for.

Victor is awesome. We called to help fix our drain that was backed up. He thoroughly checked all of our sinks to make sure it was backing up. Ran the snake and where most would be done, he walked around the house to check if there were any other clean outs and found one. Then ran the snake and that ultimately solved our problem. I called in with a non-emergency (busted/leaky) disposal (just didn't use it for a few days ;) )
Anyway, I called, they quoted, and it was in line with what everyone else quoted. The diff is they actually suggested that I buy the hardware to save money, and suggested which brand to select! Awesome!!

They had openings and came same day, and finished in no time at all!

It was 10pm and after a shower the shower handle ended up stuck in the on position with water flowing at max rate. Turned the water off to the entire house and tried to fix it ourselves to no avail.
Called Victor and he immediately sent Richard over. Richard arrived faster than expected and was just the nicest man. He immediately started trying different ways of fixing the handle but unfortunately it was a broken part so the water to the house needed to stay off until he was able to purchase the part. He didn't leave our house until midnight but promised to go to Home Depot when it opened at 6 the next morning and be back to fix it right after that. That promise alone was amazing!
Next morning he showed up bright and early with new part in hand. Fixed it in a matter of minutes, even took the time to clear out our drain. Price was so very reasonable for what I would consider late night and emergency services.
I would not hesitate to call on Richard again. He is a shining example of a real professional who knows his stuff and provides excellent customer service. Victor also was amazing with communications!

I called Happy Rooter to fix the leaking pipe for the kitchen faucet in August 2014 and they came right away and charged me almost $600 to replace the faucet and disposal and claim it was the reason for the leak.

Now in less than 2 years the kitchen faucet is leaking again and we had another plumber over to fix the issues. They opened the wall and showed us how the leaking pipe is right by the electric cable and it was a very bad job done earlier. Will never use Happy Rooter or recommend to anyone who could not spend the time to closely monitor their work every step along the way.

Each year I have the main drain from the house to the street, snaked.  I do this to keep the draining of the toilets and bathtubs running smoothly.   I live in an older home.  Anyway, I failed to schedule my regular service with another company and low and behold the bathtub backed up.  I called Happy Rooter and spoke to Victor.  He came out within 2 hours and snaked the main drain.  Unfortunately that did not clear up the backup of the tub.  He then called Richardo, his technician, who came out in an hour and he snake the drain from the kitchen.  That did the trick!.  Richardo also changed out the plug to the drain outside to make it easier to get to the next time.  I am very pleased with their work, responsiveness, pricing and of course professionalism.  I highly recommend them!!!!!!

Super service. I called with a stopped kitchen sink and Victor not only called me back within 15 minutes with a quote and was on site within a half hour. Due to odd plumbing choices made by contractors years ago the job turned out to be a bit more complicated than he expected and it took him nearly an hour to sort it all out. Regardless of that he honored his original quote he gave over the phone. Couldn't be more impressed.

While clearing my downspouts, I discovered my front underground drainage pipe was clogged. Called Victor up and told him my non emergency problem. I schedule an appointment, which was a breeze using both voice and text communication. His plumber show up on time and we both together to solve the issue. We are now ready for the rainy season. I got home from work yesterday, and our bathroom was clogged, my nephews wasn't able to use the bathroom. So I started searching up some place and I found happy rooter, I talked to victor he was very professional and him and his team were able to help us with our problems very quick! Prices weren't too bad but their service was on point, in and out within 10 min and our problem were solve! If anyone is ever looking for a plumber or in need of one I would recommend them.

I came home one day and I found water pipe burst out and water was leaking all day. Whole house was in the water. I didn't know what to do. I found Happy Rooter and victor (the owner) helped me right a way. He called emergency service restoration and response was so fast.  Victor also sent his plumber at the same time and fixed the pipe.
Of course I have water damages but I was happy that I had help in short time.
I recommend Happy Rooter and they will be my plumbers in the future.

My washer was backing up and Happy Rooter came to save the day. It was during the holidays so wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get someone out, but Victor immediately returned my call and provided a time the same day. Ricardo and Marcelo came out and took care of the issue at a reasonable price. What I appreciated most was that they took the time to make sure the issue was fully resolved by snaking both the laundry drain line and then went on the roof to snake the kitchen sink pipe drain. Ricardo even helped clear some debris from the gutter while he was on the roof. Plus they provided a 30 day warranty. Thanks for the great service Happy Rooter!

Great folks, very personable.  We needed our lines snaked and they were able to come out the same day.  Of course its raining and they have to do this from the roof top.  No problem.

I called Roto Rooter this morning due to a clogged kitchen sink and was given a schedule of 10am-12n. I waited until 3:30pm and finally cancelled the service. I called Happy Rooter and Victor personally picked up the phone. He showed up right away and finished the job in less than an hour. Happy Rooter is awesome. I highly recommend them.

Very happy with the service provided by Happy Rooter. I called them for doing sewer inspection at my property. Victor and Fred came for the job; both were very genial and friendly, and got to work right away. After failing to find a sewer clean-out in the front yard, they moved to roof and tried multiple sending the camera in from multiple vents. After being unsuccessful at that, they came back down and tried using the kitchen clean-out, which worked. Fortunately, our sewer line was clear of any obstructions or roots, but they could have made me believe something needed to be fixed, had they wanted, as I have very little knowledge in this area. I appreciate their honesty!

In the process of doing laundry the washer clogged and caused all the sinks to overflow. I called Happy Rooter and Richard arrived right away. He assessed the problem and immediately unclogged the main washer drain and all the other sinks. He was very knowledgeable, professional and suggested solutions for potential future problems. Left my place in worst condition than before. I had a sewage backup at my residence, they came by and told me that they had to snake the main sewage outside my house. That was fine with me and for $160 for 10 minutes of work I still felt relieved if they fixed the issue.

The problems came when they told me that they snaking won't help in the long run and that it would cost $1200 to fix the real issue. I asked them to try snaking it anyway since it was the first time I had this issue. So they went the the sewage manhole and said they needed to break sewage pipe's cap since they couldn't unscrew it. I said that's okay as long as they replaced it. A few minutes later he said that he got it to open without breaking it. Cool

Fast forward a week and there's sewage spilling out of the sewage manhole that has never happened before. I looked inside the hole and sewage is spilling into my grass and streets. They broke the cap and put back the broken cap.
Very unprofessional. They snaked it only one way and the problem is now worse than ever. BEWARE.

Update: Juan came by and wanted to charge me an additional $150 to re-snake the drain, he won't accept that it's the broken cap that he broke. Blamed me for the problem because I didn't pay the $1200 last time. I feel so scammed and now there's poo and toilet paper running into my grass. Victor just called me a LIAR via text message and blames the issue on me.  Wow... I am not blaming your plumbers for clogging my sewers I am just letting you know about the issues of the cap on the clean out that YOU broke and you called me to leave me a nasty message? Thanks victor.

We recently moved into a new place a couple of months ago, and have had a constant issue with our tub not draining properly. We've gone through bottles of drainer but it didn't help. Erasmo came to our home today and got to work. He was successfully able to find the cause of our problem! The previous owners let plastic bands and a plastic spoon go down the drain!! Extremely thankful to Erasmo for getting the job done quick and thoroughly!!

I called because I had a running toilet that wouldn't flush. These guys were the only ones open that I could find on a Sunday. Victor responded and sent Juan to fix the issue. They quoted me at $180 which is understandable due to the fact that it is a Sunday morning. They arrived at the time I was expecting from what he told me over the phone. 20-25 minutes later after arriving, the problem was fixed. They gave me a 30 day warranty with the part that they gave me.

Would call these guys again, but to be honest, I hope I never have to!

Our sewer main backed up and made a nasty mess of our basement... a
poo-pocalypse. Called Happy Rooter and they had two guys out pretty much right away.  They diagnosed the problem, snaked out the clog, and were on their way within an hour... with only a $250 hit to my wallet.  Highly recommended.

I am a property manager for an apartment complex in downtown San Jose and I call Victor to clear out all our drains as needed. We've had other plumbing services turn us down because they couldn't find parking, but Victor and his techs always get the job done for us. He is usually able to send someone to unclog drains/toilets/sinks within 24 hours. Very responsive via text, or if you leave a message, he will return your call in a timely manner. They are great following up directly with my tenants so that I don't need to be there to get the job done, if they are running late, I usually get a courtesy call which is nice. I'm very happy with their service!

Called and spoke to Victor on Saturday morning due to my rentals sink that was backed up.  Victor said they had a few jobs ahead of me but would call when they were on their way.  Approx 2hrs later he called and said his worker was on his way.  The worker showed up and took care of the problem.  

Great communication by keeping me updated and his price was fair for a last minute Saturday call.  

I put his number in my save file.  Very impressed.  Thank you.

Update- Another leaky sink at our home (12/18).  Called Victor Saturday night and asked him if he come Sunday morning and put in a new faucet.  At first he said they couldn't then he said he would call me back and check to see if one of his guys could.  Called back in 5 minutes and said he would be over first thing in the morning.  They installed my new faucet with no problem.  Again great service and he did not leave us without a kitchen faucet for the weekend.  Thanks!!

9/23 - Now a broken water main.  Called Victor on Friday at about 3:30.  Victor sent Juan out who arrived at about 4:45.  The job was too big to start on Friday but Juan came at 8am Saturday morning.  By 11:00 he was done and did a great job.  I can say enough good things about Victors prompt service and Juans excellent work.  Thank you once again.  (BTW their price was excellent)

I had a very good experience with this company. It's owner, Ricardo, fixed a water leak in the pipe that led to the sprinkler system. He did this job late in the evening and ensured the job to be done without causing any inconveince. He seemed to be quite knowledgeable in plumbing. He was also very polite and sincere. He was diligent enough to write a summary of his repair in his receipt. I highly recommend Happy Rooted for any plumbing repair.

The owner came within 20 mins after I called the company at 7.30am to ask for help. He is very knowledgeable and nice guy. The price is totally reasonable. The task was quickly done within less than an hr. He also gave some tips how to prevent it from happening again.

Really happy with Happy Rooter!!  The plumbing in this house has worried me for awhile since the shower seemed to clog often. The issue escalated when the dishwasher and washing machine were running at the same time. The washing machine started to leak in the garage and the kitchen sink backed up with water. I also heard gurgling coming from the bathroom. I called Victor and he was able to come out same day to snake the water line. All is running nicely now. Victor did a great job and was very pleasant the whole time. I would highly recommend to friends and neighbors!

I am a General Contractor in Campbell. I had a pipe blockage at my residence several months back and needed a rooter service. I have called the big rooter companies in the past only to get billed in the $500 to $1,000.00 dollar range for the service. Which consisted of only a couple hours of work. I had no idea that this could happen.

So when my drain clogged at my home, I went onto Yelp and looked over the rooter reviews and Happy Rooter  seemed to stand out as a good choice. I was hesitant at first but here is what happened,

I called on Saturday around noon and Victor was at my house within a couple hours (I could not meet him until then). He was efficient, priced totally fair and did really good work. Drains have been fine ever since.

Since then he has replaced my water heater at my home and a toilet at my church.

I can not recommend him highly enough.

This is THE Rooter to call.

A severely back-up drain which we were unable to unclog ourselves necessitated bringing in a pro. The big question that follows that decision is....WHO?????

TG for Yelp. I did a search and Happy Rooter jumped out immediately. Not too hard with a 5 star rating and 32 happy reviewers.  On the strength of all those reviews, I called Victor and received the same outstanding service as all the other reviewers.

The thing that stood out for me was a conversation he had with my husband. He had said that he made the decision to go out on his own a few years ago in order to be able to make money to leave for his children,  To me, that's a telling statement about who he is as a person. That's the kind of honorable person that I want to support

Called these guys after seeing them
On Yelp and having my washing machine water backing up into the shower and tub.  It was a Sunday afternoon and I when I called was the #3 stop. Was told could be 90min-3hrs but they'd call and let me know 30mins out.  70mins later they were on the way.  Quick look and up the ladder to snake the house.  The emptied the snake with what seemed a Mile long of steel and the drains were back flowing.   Quick, friendly, fast.  No Credit Card. Cash or check...

Victor had my water restored temporarily with a few hours when my water main supply broke. Over the next few days (a holiday weekend, no less) the rusted old iron supply pipes were replaced with new copper pipes.

These guys were AWESOME!  I gave my girlfriend their phone number to call to fix the Plumbing. We have had an ongoing problem for over a year now with water backing up into the kitchen sink.  Well she assumed I got a quote on the phone and I assumed she would get a quote when they assessed the problem.  Needless to say they could have charged us anything they wanted at this point they were already working on the plumbing when I showed up!  I was a little nervous but he was so nice and gave us a great deal.  Everything is working great now

I found Happy Rooter on Yelp. I needed a drain snaked. It wasn't a serious and immediate problem, so I called hoping to get an appointment in the next few days. Victor was out within the hour and was finished shortly after. He was pleasant, explained what he was doing and advised me what to do to prevent future problems. Very ambitious and quick to arrive.
I thought I had a sewage backup and I called around 7:30pm. The plumber was here within 20 minutes.
I didn't end up needing their services, but I've gotta say I'm impressed with the quick response.
I'm also quite happy that they didn't have a charge for showing and having nothing to do.
I feel bad for wasting the guy's time, but it guarantees a 5 star review.

Last night I had a plumbing problem that I thought was just a badly clogged toilet. This morning I discovered the whole sewage line to the house was actually backing up, and it needed to be addressed immediately.  I found Happy Rooter on Yelp, noticed that they weren't far from me, and gave them a call.  Within less than a half-hour, Victor showed up and started working on the problem.

The whole situation turned out to be more complicated and expensive to deal with than I had hoped.  My house's sewage line had no cleanout plug that we could find, and the clog couldn't be successfully snaked from where that toilet was.  That being said, I was impressed that he was able to get his crew working on it almost immediately.  A few hours after he initially showed up, I had a newly installed cleanout plug and a clear sewage line.

Definitely pleased with the very prompt service!

The plumber I usually call didn't answer my call in the night so I reached out a few plumbing companies. None of them could come in the night but the time given by Happy Rooter is the earliest. Victor came on time and fixed the clogged main line very quickly. Price is very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Victor was friendly and professional on the phone.  Richard came out and quoted a very high price because of unspecified expensive parts that would have to be purchased.  It seemed fishy so we said no and he left.  Called another plumber who fixed the problem at a reasonable price and gave me the receipt for the $8.97 part.  That's right, the necessary expensive part turned out to be $8.97.

We had to call an emergency plumber after the toilets and tubs backed up. This was the third plumber in 3 months to come out. Strange things happen in life.  Victor and I met through Craigslist as he was acquiring some Giants tickets to take his wife out.  We exchanged text messages and finalized on the ticket price.  He wanted to pick up the hard copy tickets and I said no problem.  I arranged a meeting for him to meet with my wife in Daly City.  He was a man of his word and drove from San Jose to meet with my wife in Daly City.  I've once got fooled by a stranger on CL and wasted my time and ticket.   Victor, did the opposite and kept his words and met with my wife.  After the exchange, my wife called me and said it was done and the buyers seems to be a great couple and extremely happy.  

An hour later I got a text from Vic when they were at the game.  He told me how they appreciated our tickets and mentioned briefly if i needed plumbbing help to reach out to him.  Right there I gain extra respect for him as only a nice kinded cool guy would text the seller back and let them know how appreciative they are.  It also tell me a wise/proud business man wouldn't mind sharing his business with others to promote growth.  Much respect for that.

Anyway, long story short I thank him for letting me know about his gig and would give him an opportunity to next time I can use his services.  Two days later I received a call from my tenants in San Jose and they told me the bathroom sink is leaking and needed services.  Somehow the first moment I thought of Victor and texted him.  The request from the tenant came at 1pm and the tenant said she'll be home at 6pm.

I picked up the phone, called Victor, and he got it all taking care of for me.  The crew drove out at 6pm when the tenant is home, checked out the issues/problems, called me and explained the problem, got my approval and finished the work by 8pm.  I was still in my PJ at home in Daly City and the problem was solved over a couple of phone call.  Couldn't be better than that!

As a business professional I strive for partners who I can rely and trust to get things done within a reasonable price and time, and Victor and Happy Rooter did just that.  My tenants are also happy and worried free and I have no problem paying for good services.  

Great work guys.  I dont want to have to call you again (because that's when shit happens - sometimes literally but truly when I do you'll be the first I reach out to.

We have a house in San Jose with 12 guys living there.  The entire plumbing system backed up on a Saturday.  I called Happy Rooter, got Victor on the phone, he told me he would be there after 1:00, got there right about that time, fixed the problem in an hour, charged a very reasonable rate, especially for the weekend, told me how to avoid the problem in the future.  He was very easy to deal with, easy to communicate with, gave me an hourly rate up front, got the job done efficiently.  I could not be happier.  Thank you Victor!

Sunday afternoon finding the drainage backed up in both bathrooms; this is an old house.....  Called and got Victor who sent Ricardo out to the site within an hour.  Ricardo and the man with him did the work with such pleasant demeanor and at the same time, passing on the information regarding what they have found and what needs to be done.  Very reasonable charges too, and we will use their service again whenever we have any plumbing needs in the future....

Honest, professional, and excellent service.  Our main drain was clog and we need help ASAP.  Called at 8:45am and Victor came around 10am.  He provided couple of options to address the issue with the quotes.  He didn't try to push us into a more expensive option.  He is very honest and processional when explaining the options.  Didn't feel any pressures of being push toward a more expensive option.  At the end, there is no surprise charges.
It was a very hot day and he went up to our roof to clean up the drain.   It was getting uncomfortable due to the heat.  Victor only took a short break and immediately went back up and complete the job.  
His rate is very competitive.  We are so glad we found him and will definitely recommend him.

Truly a five star company. We have had Victor out for a couple of different repairs. He is always honest, friendly and respectful of our needs. Last week we had a major sewer line failure. We had hired a previous plumber 6 months prior who failed to connect the kitchen line back into the sewer main. Victor and Fred came out and put a camera in the line. They found the failure and fixed it that same day. We will definitely keep using Happy Rooter.

Victor and Juan saved us!  Our bathroom was leaking sewage water on a Sunday and within an hour, Juan showed up and started to diagnose the problem.  Ultimately, there was a break in our main sewage pipe.  Juan diagnosed it, talked us through the fix (complicated because it involved the city), and gave us an estimate.  We wound up paying exactly what he had quoted, and he fixed the part that we were responsible for (as opposed to the part the city is responsible for) within 24 hours.  They took care of getting the inspection scheduled and complete as fast as possible.  Victor also followed up to make sure we were aware of the next steps with the city.  We are really happy with their service!

Updated review:

If you are looking for a plumber to come snake your system, even from the roof, these are your guys.   If you are looking for someone to snake your rain gutter drains, these are not the guys.

The owner and I miscommunicated, so he sent his workers over to snake the sewer lines.  The technicians were professional and respectful, and they arrived within two hours of me reaching out to Victor.  So if you need someone fast, call Happy Rooter.

Unfortunately, I needed my rain gutter drains snaked and I didn't discover the difference until the heavy rains came.

When he realized that we'd miscommunicated, he gave me a half-refund on the service and I think that was fair. So I really appreciate that he was willing to work with me on that.

Victor was very rude over the phone and never showed up. He argued with us about how he wants to receive a text and about whether 7:30 pm was too late to arrive. Then he told us that he doesn't need our business. We've never had someone argue with us before when we were a potential client. That was just a strange waste of time!

Hands down one of the best response time and most courtesy plumber we have found in our area yet. We had called another plumbing company out of just googling and they claimed they fixed our main drain, two days later same issue. I found happy rooter on yelp and called lm literally a day before Xmas eve and victor called back within 10 minutes. Told him our main drain had tree roots but that my husband rented a snake from Home Depot and that he was trying but I wasn't sure if we would need him. My husband thought he fixed it so I texted victor told him thank you but we got it and would call if we needed anything. Next day same issue, my husband called victor and he came out next day himself ! The day after Xmas ! This guy not only fixed our main drain due to tree roots but also warranty the job for 30 days if it happened again. Seriously the best service and hands down one of the most responsive and professional plumbers in the area. I would recommend Victor !

Being new to the area, and desperate for help with a leak, I had to take my chances based on Yelp reviews. That turned out to be a regrettable decision in this case.

The one positive comment I have is that they were available on short notice.

The not-so-positive:
- The leak was back by morning. I ended up calling a different plumber who found and fixed the real problem, which wasn't even related to what these guys fixed.

- They insisted that the replacement part (which it turns out I didn't need) be paid for in cash, but accepted a check for the rest. Didn't really get a clear story on why that was the case and they didn't speak English clearly enough for me to understand.

- Left behind a mess, didn't make any effort to avoid tracking dirty water across the rest of my place.

My toilet was leaking, my faucet was leaking and my second toilet kept running and running. I asked Suri for local plumbers and this company came up. I looked at the reviews and made the call. Victor answered the call and sent one of his guys, Richard, over and within a couple of hours all my problems were solved, almost. My toilet was still leaking Victor came over the next morning and tightened a bolt a now my toilet is as good as new. Thank you Happy Rooter!!!!! Every once in a while you work with someone who you immediately recognize as professional, competent and trustworthy. Victor from Happy Rooter is one of these people.
I did not have a complicated problem (just a clogged kitchen drain), and Victor fixed it in less than 30 minutes, but he definitely went the extra mile and explained to me what's happening, and what I might want to do to prevent the issue going forward.
Excellent communication, too, and he showed up exactly when he said he would.

Next time I have a plumbing issue, I will call Victor again.

There's nothing like getting a call from home and being told that every toilet and shower/tub isn't draining. I called Happy Rooter based on their rating here on Yelp, and it proved very accurate. Victor and his crew arrived at my home within an hour and had the situation figured out within just a few minutes. At that point they got to work digging down into my yard to find the well buried clean-out. They replaced the 50+ yr old clean-out with a new modern PVC one and installed a ground-level access for future work (if needed). Then they started to snake the main line, in both directions, until the clog was found and the drains were running smoothly in my home. They filled in my yard, and were done. From 1st call to finishing handshake it was less than 5 hours. No Mess. No Worries. Victor's business card is definitely going up on my Fridge!

Within 15 minutes of me calling Happy Rooter (Victor), he was at my house to find out what was causing my sewage blockage.  It was backbreaking work as it turns out I had major root issues in multiple spots.  After the roots were cleared out, he suggested he use a camera to inspect the sewage lines to see how bad the breakage is that was causing the roots to creep in.  It was pretty bad so we made the decision to dig out sections of the old pipe and replace them including one area under the concrete in my garage.

Victor and his crew were very courteous, very hard working and did excellent cleanup of the job area leaving no signs of their mess.  While I paid quite a bit of money for the job, I am very satisfied with the work and I would not hesitate to call them back if I had a new issue.

I had a very bad experience with this service today.

I had a toilet that was backed up and overflowing. Completely flooded an entire room.

I called Happy Rooter, and while they were quick to respond, that was about the only good thing that happened.

The guy that came over took about 2-3 hours, did not fix the problem (didn't have the tools), and left a HUGE MESS. He literally left my floor, walls, shelves, toilet, covered in black sludge. It literally took me over an hour on my hands and knees trying to clean up everything and it definitely is not what it was before.

he also left black sludge all over my pavers (access to the sewer line) and did not even hose it down.

So, basically, I paid $125 for nothing to be fixed, 2 hours of time lost, and a huge mess to clean up.

I had a main line clog which is something I'd never experienced in this 60+ year old home before.  Victor came out and we looked all around the house for a clean out and found none.  He said he could snake the drain from the roof (through the roof vent) for $250 with no assurance (or warranty) that the problem wouldn't reoccur.  He suggested that a two way clean out, at ground level, to ensure that any future blockages could be resolved much more cheaply and quickly was another option.  Also, he would warrant against any reoccurring clogs for 90 days and the two way clean out for a year.  He said that he'd normally charge $1200 but would do it for $1000 as we both didn't want him to have to go up onto my old cedar shingle roof!  Additionally, my next door neighbor had had to do the same and ended up paying more because he tried the roof method before having a clean out installed.  

I went with the two way clean out option and he called his workers to come out immediately to get to work on it.  While waiting for them to arrive, Victor went under my house to see where the main line went.  To both of our surprise, it didn't run near the water or gas lines (as it does frequently), but rather about forty feet from them.  Luckily, the line ran under an open space so my lawn and plants weren't torn up.  

The workers not only found the line quickly, but were able to clean out the lines in both directions and get the new two way clean out installed in only a couple of hours.  Even though the sewer was all cast iron to the street which is harder to work than the typical terracotta that is used between the house and the street.  I mentioned that my tub always drained slower than I thought it should and they snaked out the secondary line from the tub for no additional charge.  It now drains more quickly than it ever has in my experience - Yea!.  No more main line clog - double Yea!

All of the work was done with excellent quality, efficiency, promptness, and Victor's two workers were friendly to boot (totally worth the extra $40 I tipped them).  I definitely will recommend Victor and his Happy Rooter crew.

I needed a toilet fixed in my roommate's condo. I called Victor on Thursday afternoon and he quickly set up an appointment for Friday morning. On Sunday night I found a lot of water under my kitchen sink.  It seems like water were licking from everywhere...  The pipes under the sink, and the garbage disposal were as old as the house so we knew it was time to find a plumber.  I called Victor at Happy Rooter and he answered the phone pretty early on Monday morning.  He said that he will send me someone to look at it between 10am and 11am.  A guy name Richard came at 10am sharp.  What a nice guy!  We could not be any more pleased by the work he did.  Everything looks good now with no licks.  He was very good at explaining everything he needed to do.  It all made sense.  We are truly impressed with the job they did and how friendly and professional they are.  I am so glad I found them!!

After doing some research I found Happy Rooter. They had alot of good reviews and good competitive rates. I used them to install my new garbage disposal and kitchen sink faucet (that had started to leak). I went to Lowes and bought a new faucet and disposal and they came w/in 1 day of me calling them to install them. Definitely would use their services again.

My toilet wasn't flushing properly and was leaking at the base. I called and spoke with Victor who arrived about 10 minutes later and went straight to work. Unclogged the main sewer pipe and my tub had still standing water. Then went to the roof and unclogged it up there and everything was perfect possibly even better than before the problem happened. Happy Rooter came to my rescue on a Saturday when so many plumbers in the area were closed, and the few that were open .... I got voicemail.  

I had an upstairs toilet leaking, and the water was dripping down to the 1st floor, so this was very urgent for me.

They were able to help me right away.  They got back to me in about ten minutes with the name of the plumber who would be coming and when he would be on site.  

The plumber showed up less than an hour after I initially called them.  He fixed the problem in under an hour and was on his way.  We still have to fix the damage of course from the leak, but I no longer have toilet water dripping down in my living room!!

I would definitely call them again.

Water was backing up in my shower and bathtub when running the washing machine. I called happy router to see if they could come out and give me an estimate. They gave me an estimated time that they would be there between 10:30 and 12:30. I received text messages providing an update as to when to expect the technician and who the technician would be. Upon arrival a sewer clean out was unable to be visually located around the perimeter of my house. The technician quoted me approximately $1100-$1400 to dig up the sewer line, cut the pipe, install a two way clean out ava snake the line. I gave the go ahead since I had little options. The technician began digging and actually found the pre-existing clean out. He promptly informed me and said he would only charge me $250 to clean the line. He could have easily just dig around in the front yard and charged me to install the clean out and I would never have known the difference since I was at work when he was there and my wife was in the house with out three month old. He was honest and upfront. I would recommend them to others.

When I called, Victor was able to come out right away.  After fixing my issue, he went further to diagnose why the issue was occurring.  Turns out the pipe under my house is not angled correctly, ugh!  So my current problem is fixed and now I know why it is happening... next step it to fix the issue, but I will leave that for another day.

I only saw the dirty cleaning towels he had used to CLEAN UP the mess. Victor followed up after the job to make sure I was satisfied. Fast, clean, and reasonably priced plumber. I was experiencing slow toilet syndrome in an upstairs bathroom along with slower-than-normal draining of a tub after a shower. Thinking there must be a partial blockage downstream, I called Happy Rooter based on Yelp reviews. Victor said he could come out within the hour; we rescheduled for the next day.

Victor arrived promptly, on time, and said he didn't think there was a blockage, but that the toilet was old (vintage 1974) and needed replacement. I asked him about the slow draining tub (which wasn't very slow when he tested it) so after some discussion we agreed that he would pull the toilet and power auger the toilet and tub drain lines. Concerned about the condition of the drain lines that ran overhead in the ceiling of a newly remodeled kitchen downstairs, I paid extra for him to run a camera into the pipes to view their condition.

Results: No blockage found in either drain line. Pulled a very small amount of hair from the tub drain, but nothing came up from the power auger. Camera found little residue in the pipes (nice confirmation) and no obvious areas of concern going forward. Tub now drained fine. Replaced toilet and it flushed normally (better than when he first arrived). So what changed? No clue.

His helper mentioned that we should not be using blue toilet tablets in the tank, and that they cause problems. I had heard that chlorine-based pucks in the tank eat up the rubber seals in the tank causing leaks. This was not the problem I was experiencing so disregarded the comments at the time.

In the end, Victor did what he came out to do, was prompt, was very neat (wore shoe protectors on my carpets) and placed plastic sheets on the bathroom floor and adjacent carpeted hallway. Much appreciated!

Days later, the toilet still has slow toilet syndrome. Maybe it's time for a new toilet. Have done much internet research in the meantime, but that's another story, separate from my very positive experience with Happy Rooter.

Called and got voice mail.  Oh no, not this again...  Within a few minutes I got a call back from Victor and explained we needed some pipes snaked.  He coordinated with my contractor who is working on a renovation to a rental property.  Victor showed up and had everything dealt with by noon on the same day as the call.  Oh yeah, his finished price was less than the jerk who stood me up and quoted a price just to show up at the job site.  Based on my bait and switch experience with rooter services ($15 becomes $150 in an instant) I will be calling Victor again next time I have the need.

Victor just left our home after fixing our massively clogged kitchen line. He arrived right on time for our 11AM appointment, and after some quick inspection of the issue, went right to work. He fixed the problem within a half hour! While working on the problem, he was friendly, and very informative about what to do when we have clogs and backups, and what to avoid. My parents asked him for some advice on preventative measures, and he responded openly and honestly. He's friendly, honest and above all, professional. He also got our problem fixed in a half hour! I'm glad I found him, as the other guys I had out charged me $261 to snake from my roof and didn't even clear the clog. They said I needed a clean out installed and their quote was over twice as much as what Victor did it for.
He also didn't make any claims as to what the problem was until he could get a camera in and know for sure.

I'm a new homeowner and have called upon Happy Rooter, Richard specifically, to help with some plumbing items.  Richard has been to my house four times to change out faucets and shower fixtures and to replace a toilet.  Richard is always on time, polite and professional.  He gives great advice on which products and brands to purchase and advises on when to update certain plumbing items.  You can tell he has decades of experience.  He also does a complete job, from prepping an area to cleaning up.  For example, when he removed a toilet, he made sure the floor was free of any debris and wax from the wax ring, something many plumbers overlook.  The prices are very competitive and reasonable for the quality of work.  An extra perk that I appreciate -- the ability to text Victor to set up appointments, ask questions, etc.  Will continue using Happy Rooter and highly recommend their services!

Thank you YELP. I found Happy Rooter on YELP after waiting a couple of days for a call back from a more known plumbing contractor for a clogged main sewer line. It was a good thing I did not get the call back. I called Victor late on a Friday afternoon and he said he would stop by after his son's baseball practice. Victor called when he was on the way.  We decided that the main sewer line needed to be replaced and he gave a very reasonable quote. The work was started and completed on Monday. Victor had to replace additional pipe which was not quoted but the price stated the same. The crew cleaned up after themselves when the job was complete. The family could not be happier with the work that Happy Rooter did and now we have a permanent plumber to call for any of our plumbing needs. I will refer Happy Rooter to anyone that asks.

Called on Thanksgiving Day because tub & shower were backing up plus the toilets we bubbling (just like before). We were very satisfied with Victor and Happy Rooter. We called and Victor was able to schedule us very quickly and came out to do a rooter job right away same day. Since that didn't find the problem, he crawled under the house to check the pipes there, and texted us the photos of what he found. He took apart our toilet, and found that there was something like a metal shower plug lodged in the toilet itself. His prices were fair, and he was able to communicate with our landlord, who also came out to check the work, and was pleased.

Victor is awesome! Our kitchen sink clogged on Thanksgiving night. We called early Friday morning and he came right out. The drain problem wasn't a simple clog. It turned out we had over 22 years of build up in our pipe. Victor worked for about an hour using his motorized snake and it wouldn't budge. This didn't stop him. He was ready to solve our problem. He used his Hydro Snake that blows 3,000 psi water to blast out the ancient sludge that was stopping the flow. We are happily washing our dishes from last night. I left a message to schedule an appointment. I received a call back a short while later. I needed my garbage disposal changed out soon because it hadn't been working for several weeks. We settled on a day and time that worked for both of us. They had to reschedule because they were booked, but that was fine. We decided on another day. The technician came out and advised that my disposal didn't need to be replaced....instead he fixed my disposal in a couple of minutes. I was very happy....that saved me a couple hundred dollars. He was able to take a look at my slow flushing toilets. He made some adjustments and walla! Much better. He even pointed out some rusting pipes, so I had him change them out. I've had a number of issues with plumbing/sewer lines at an aging rental property.  Victor has helped to re-mediate the issues in a timely, and cost competitive manner.  

The sewer lines from the units to the street were constantly backing up.  When clearing the line, roots were being pulled out, which meant that the trees had compromised the lines (these are probably 50 year old lines), and earthquakes had made the lines jog left and right.   Confirmed the issues with a camera line down the pipes, Victor used a repipe in place method so we didn't have to cut through the asphalt and dig new trenches to put an ABS product down that will last another 50 years.  For the first job, I collected 3 quotes.  For the other jobs, I have confidence that Victor is competitive.  The important aspect of cost competitive are quality and timely service.

Victor has been flexible with scheduling and often has been able to assist same day.  Highly recommend Victor at Happy Rooter.

On a Sunday night after 6:00pm, our toilets backed up, and we could not get any other plumbers on the phone. I tried calling Victor, immediately got through to him, and after explaining the problem, he said he'd call back shortly to give me a time. Thank you yelpers for this excellent recommendation!!!!  So, I am having guests for coffee at 9, dinner guests at 6, the laundry room floods, the kitchen sink is full of water.  I find Victor, phone, yes he answered, i'll be right there and he was.  Mind you this is Saturday a.m.!  I'm anxious, Victor is very calm.  Had to work around some old construction, but a 1/2 hour later all drains were unplugged, helpful advice was offered and I sat down to be with my guests.  His truck is clean, his invoice is neat, with helpful instructions.  Yippee and thank you Victor.  All is calm!

It was a Friday night, the first night in our new house and our sewage line backed up.  Victor showed up in less than an hour, hauled his equipment up onto our roof and snaked the line.  With no clean-out to use as an access point, it was a tough job to do in the dark, and he had to fight through some roots along the way.  Although an unfortunate discovery, he was very responsive and reasonably priced.  The next week we had a problem under the sink and he sent a crew out that morning to fix the problem.  We haven't had any plumbing problems since, but if we do we'll be calling Happy Rooter!

Victor responded really fast to our call. He had to go to the store to replace the first toilet he brought because it was cracked. Because he had to respond to an emergency job he called Richard to help him. Richard came and did a great job and both of them stayed late on Saturday afternoon to finish the work. I highly recommend Happy Rooter.

Extremely good experience.  Our kitchen sink was backed up.  I called Victor at Happy Rooter, and he said he could come right over, even though it was a Saturday afternoon.  He got here in about thirty minutes.  He snaked the line three times to try to get through an obstruction, and finally went on the roof to snake through the soil stack.  It worked!  He worked very hard for about two hours, and charged us $240.  He was very nice, and very professional.  Also, had the roof thing not worked, the next option would have been much more expensive, and he worked hard to avoid us having to go the more expensive route.

I called Victor about noon time today for a clogged toilet problem and I wanted to get it fixed ASAP. He was doing another job and yet still took the time to assist me over the phone. I explained the issue and Victor said he'll call one of his workers to see if he can come check out the problem. Victor estimated it would be about 30 minutes before a technician could arrive at my home. Well, within about 15 minutes, the technician arrived! To make a long story short, the problem was fixed in about an hour from my initial phone call to Victor (that's including removing the toilet to get to the clog!). The technician even left the bathroom area cleaner than when he started. If you need plumbing service and want it done quickly and thoroughly, I highly recommend Victor and the guys at Happy Rooter. He will give you superb service for a very reasonable price!

Called Victor this Sunday for an emergency plumbing issue at my home and he immediately sent one of his persons over to fix the problem. Responsiveness, knowing what to do, and skill to fix the issue so that there is no recurring problems are very important for me and they met all of these. Will definitely do business with them again!

Had a big problem in the middle of the night last month. My toilet was overflowing, the kids were crying, and the wife was yelling. Called this morning inquiring about an estimate. While on the phone with Victor, I briefly described my clogging issue with one clogged up toilet causing another toilet to clog up, and he instantly knew where the root of the problem was. He advised me on the phone that the problem was the main sewer line and not the toilet itself. After the call ended, he showed up in less than 10 minutes and started working on it. He cleaned our sewer lines and had everything fixed in about 10-15 minutes. Victor was very professional, fast, efficient, knowledgable and friendly! Service was outstanding. He gave my family a such a great rate, we decided we will only be using Happy Rooter for all our future plumbing issues from now on. Service also came with a 30 day warranty which offers us a lot of peace of mind and security. There is no need to look elsewhere! Victor is the man! Look no further! I called Victor  for a toilet that was giving us trouble.  He was able to come out in just a few hours to take a look.  Very friendly and professional.  He explained what he found and was able to fix the problem quickly.  Unfortunately for me there are tree roots growing in the sewer line and I'll eventually need to do something about them.  Victor recommended a reasonable course of action and fair estimate.  When we are ready to tackle that problem or have any other issues I will definitely call Happy Rooter.  I would recommend Happy Rooter to friends.

I called Happy Rooter Sunday morning and Victor picked up the phone. In 15-20 minutes he was at my place fixing the clogged pipe far under the house. In next 30 min the problem as fixed. I got advices how to avoid clogging plus 30 days warranty. Excellent!

I called Happy Rooter at 10:45 this morning for a problem that was just starting in my older home and had been corrected multiple times by other people.  They were there in less than 30 minutes, explained what the problem was, worked on it immediately.  They took care of it the correct way at a reasonable cost.  I would deffinitly have them for anything again and recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Wow!  Service and fast courteous service for a beyond reasonable price.  Our toilets backed up and I called 6 places with no openings for days.  My 7th call was to Happy Rooter and I am so glad I called them. The owner answered and said he could have someone out quickly.  Juan and Omar arrived within an hour and knew exactly what to do - no problem at all.  I love these guys Nd if I could give them a 10 star rating I would!

I second the rave reviews for this company.  I called on Christmas Eve for a stopped drain and Victor was there within a hour and a half.  Just amazing!  This plumber is professional, prompt, and efficient.  He was in and out within minutes and he gave me a 30-day guarantee.  This is the kind of business you would recommend to your mom.

At 4:30PM today, I received a text from my fiancé stating that the toilet downstairs exploded and there's crap all over the floor and bathtub.  Thinking he was over exaggerating, I asked him to text me a photo so I can see the extent of it...yep, he wasn't exaggerating!   It was disgusting!  My mind was boggled; I still had 2-hours left at work and guests arriving my home at 7PM.  What to do?  Well, we sprayed the house with Bath & Body Works Malibu Coconut spray to disguise any unpleasant smells.  We welcomed our guests, had dinner, and my fiancé entertained the guests with a game of poker while I snuck off and yelped toilet overflow.  Happy Rooter was the first one listed, had 5-STARS with 35 Reviews.  I quickly read a few reviews and they sounded like exactly what I needed.  At 9:15PM, I called the number posted on yelp expecting to get a voice mail....nope, Victor answered!  I described my scenario and asked if they could come tonight, he said sure.  I asked if they actually clean up the mess too, and he said they can for an extra charge.  Victor asked me to text him my address, I did.  Eleven minutes later, Victor calls me back to tell me that Jerome is headed to my house and that he'll be here in about 15-mins.  Soon enough, Jerome is knocking on my door.  About an hour later, Jerome is done...he snaked our sewer line, apparently there were sanitary napkins clogging the line (who flushes sanitary napkins?).   Anyways, the sewer line is cleared and Jerome quickly works on getting the bathroom cleaned up.  He shop-vacs the bathroom pretty good and gave us some tips on what to do next (fan area, bleach bathroom, get carpet cleaned, etc.).  Jerome was great and a pretty funny guy, he loves what he does (he told me so).  God bless him!  Anyways, we now have our issue taken care of and tomorrow will be spent getting everything thoroughly cleaned as instructed.  I texted Victor at 11:07PM to let him know that Jerome just left and the issue was taken care of.  Not expecting a reply, Victor replied right away letting me know that a receipt will be mailed and that I have a 30-day warranty on the service.  I give Happy Rooter 5-STARS for their promptness, professionalism, and for Victor's quick response time.  I think the pricing was fair, I really don't have anything to compare it to, but it's around what I thought it would be for late at night.  I will definitely recommend them to all my family/friends and I now have their number programmed on my cell phone in case I ever need them again.  Thanks Happy Rooter...you have another happy customer!

Called Victor at 10pm on Memorial day weekend and got a call back within 30min. We were expecting guests the next day in the afternoon and therefore the problem had to be fixed quickly. Victor came at 8am next morning and in 30min fixed the problem and gave 1 month warranty for his work. Very competitive rate and if I decide to replace the plumbing later the cleanup charge will be applied against re-piping payment. I'm very satisfied with the quality, promptness and cost of the service Victor provided.

Absolutely fantastic!  Would highly recommend to all.  My shower fixture broke - completely snapped off - thought it was going to have to redo tile etc.  My sister referred me to Victor.  I called and he came out and bang - fixed in no time.  Not only were they punctual price was very reasonable. I recently called Happy Rooter at mid-afternoon on Presidents Day Monday for a kitchen sink drainage problem.  I fully expected to be making an appointment for the next day.  Victor answered the phone call immediately and said he could have someone to this old San Jose house within and hour or two.  I sent Victor a photo of the clean out under this old house and within an hour, Victor called to give me options / costs after one of his team had arrived to assess the problem (both options quite reasonable).  An hour or so later, I received another phone call from Victor notifying me that the problem had been resolved (I do not live at this location).  I also received positive feedback from the tenant regarding results.  Victor was very accommodating in dealing with payment, since I was not at the location to pay him.  I had a previous drainage problem at this house last year late on a Saturday afternoon.  At that time, I randomly found Happy Rooter from Yelp reviews.  Back then, Victor was very responsive and had  someone to the house within an hour (around 6pm that day - different problem). I would highly recommend Happy Rooter, especially if the problem seems urgent.  Thank you Victor and team.

Had my entire house back up on a Saturday noon.  After reading the reviews on Yelp I selected Happy Rooter and called.  Victor said that he was on another emergency job himself but he could get somebody over in about an hour and the price it would cost.  He sent a worker over and eventually came over himself after clearing the job he was on.  They worked tirelessly and ended up with another crew coming also to assist.  Victor kept me advised of the progress throughout the process.  The job was particularly complicated and soon it became too dark to work safely.  Victor said he would be back the next morning with additional equipment.  He returned as promised with additional diagnostic equipment and soon determined that the problem was on the city side of the sidewalk.  He finally was able to clear the blockage but advised me to call the city on Monday to have them come out and check their entry point in the street.  Throughout the process he kept me informed and in the loop.  His professional attitude and tireless effort was finally rewarded the next morning when the blockage was cleared.  It was a job well done and performed by a competent professional under difficult circumstances.  Happy Rooter richly deserves the 5 stars.
