Midas Plumbing Plumbing Service
while doing some home repairs, I accidentally hit a copper pipe in my wall with a nail. As soon as I heard the hiss (of water) coming from the wall, I shut off the the main water line and went to Yelp to find a plumber.  I saw Midas Plumbing was 24 hour.  I called at 6:00pm and was told he could be there in about an hour.  He came around 7pm and was out before 8pm.  he work was excellent with very reasonable rates.  I hope to not need a plumber for quite sometime, but when I do I know who I will be calling.

Fantastic Rooter Plumbing Plumbing Service
Great company and great team, starting from the person in charge of answering the phone and scheduling to the plumbers that come out. It seems most of the team are brothers, which is great because they all care about the success of their business.
I had a unusual gas breaker piece to mount downstream from my gas meter and I was a bit worried about the various guidelines around the installation of the component. Also in general I am suspicious and picky when it comes to work done by contractors, I like things done cleanly and precisely. But my worries quickly went away when they started working. They clearly know what they are doing, they are calm, professional and patient, and they listen to your concerns and requests. They got the job done perfectly, without any trials and error and they were courteous and smiled all the way.
So I give them 5 stars and I will definitely give them a call next time I need a professional plumber. They have earned a good chunk of my trust in this one job!

Able Plumbing Sewer & Drain Plumbing Service
First time using Able Plumbing Sewer & Drain and I'm very pleased with their GREAT customer service!!! It was a pleasure working with Sabrina to make my appointment and answer all of my questions since this was the first time needing our septic tank cleaned.  Albert, the plumbing technician was a pleaseure to work with as well.  The guys were efficient and clean with the nasty job :) Albert let us know how to help keep our septic tank cleaner/clogfree by following a few basic rules; one being don't use wipes even when the pkg says it's ok for septic tanks.  I appreciate good interations with people I'm working with and Able Plumbing Sewer & Drain is top notch from the office employees to the field employees.  Thank you Able Plumbing Sewer & Drain as I was a little worried by some of your other Yelp reviews.  FIVE STARS!!!!

$15 Dollar Sewer and Drain Plumbing Service
All 3 bathrooms backed up when we use the washing machine. I've done my share of reading Yelp reviews. It was a toss-up between C&K Plumbing or $15 Sewer & Drain. I've used Mr. Ro of C&K Plumbing on a water heater project before and was very happy with his price and workmanship. Unfortunately he was not available. I called $15 Sewer & Drain on a Sunday night to schedule a service call 9am the next day. I asked for Santos because he has the most positive Yelp reviews among this company's plumbers. We waited until 11:30am the next morning but no one show up, turned out there was a miscommunication with the scheduling lady. Next time I will confirm the call early in the morning. Santos arrives 3pm, very polite and courteous. He diagnoses the problems, suggests different alternatives and that the proper fix was to put in a Clean-out outside of the house. He explains the difference between a House Clean-out and the City Clean-out. City Clean-out requires a permit and cost 3-times as much but the City of San Jose will service it free if the blockage is on the city side. Both has the similar 4in diameter inlet setup....not sure why the City version cost that much more...hmmm. One side of our house is only 12 feet or so to the sidewalk where the sewer inlet is, marked by an S on the curb of the gutter. Thus, the proposed house clean-out would be almost at the same place the City clean-out would be. I decided to go with the house clean-out. Just as Santos and his partner Antonio were getting started it started to rain, really felt bad that they were working in the rain but he comments that it was their job to help us with the emergency. They got the job done two and a half hrs later just before it got dark. I was very happy with the work and what relief now the plumbing is working again. I decided to have them back to work on our sprinkler system repair which I started months ago but never got around of finishing. Again, they did a great job. The two projects costed over a bit over $1000 but it was well worth it given how quickly they response and the very good craftsmanship. I will not hesitate to call Santos again for other plumbing jobs but hope not anytime soon.    John

Plumbing Connection Plumbing Service
Plumber came promptly.  He used a snake and a pressure device to clear line.  Just took 30 minutes to clear line.  Plumber and helper were nice.  Would use again.

The Plumber's Handyman Plumbing Service
John is an honest, hardworking guy who can be depended on to get the job done right. Our toilet was leaking from its base due to the wax ring leaking and then having the steel ring corrode away. This ended up being a lot more than we had originally anticipated and involved needing to go to Home Depot twice, but John persevered and made sure we had a working toilet by the time he left. It's been working well for the past 2 months now.

John charges a reasonable rate and guarantees his work for 1 year.

Plumbtree Plumbing and Rooter Plumbing Service
Our toilet flooded in the middle of the day. I searched yelp and the Plumbtree jumped out on the top of the long list. The representative was nice & efficiently scheduled an appointment this afternoon. Anthony and Austin came and explained what to expect. Both of them are professional & knowledgeable. They had the toilet unclogged in less than 30 minutes. I couldn't be happier all thanks to their service!

Bullseye Leak Detection Plumbing Service
Summary: EXPENSIVE & DEFECTIVE SERVICE - Jeremy came out to detect a leak. We already knew there was a leak in the line from the street to the home (because the leak would continue even if we shutoff water to the home and only way the leak would stop is by shutting off water at the mains). We also knew there was another leak somewhere by shutting off and opening different valves. We called Jeremy because we wanted to know where to dig exactly and repair. After spending about 2 hours, Jeremy pointed out a location of the leak as being under a bush (see picture for report) and charged us $515 for it. We spent $6,500 to have the entire line dug up and guess what .. there wasn't any water line in the location Jeremy pointed out (picture attached). The pipe evidently runs at least 5 feet away. And of course we still had another leak somewhere that Jeremy had not detected. I tried patiently to try and get him out to find that leak - he assured me that if there was another leak, he would come out and detect it free of charge. First he said, he needs the plumbers who repaired the pipe to confirm there was still a leak (which they did), then he said we should get the irrigation shutoff checked (which we did, there was no leak there). Then he was unresponsive for a day, he said he had the flu. A couple of days later he said it was Covid and not the flu, so it'll take longer. Finally, I ran out of patience and asked him for a refund of the fee I paid him. He continued his delay tactics of not being able to chat because he was busy for a few days. He kept insisting he wants to talk about it and come up with more reasons why it wasn't his fault. When I insisted on a firm response on if  he will refund for a faulty leak detection which cost me $6500 to repair and another $515 for him and $200 for the landscaper to check the irrigation connections, he said he wouldn't. So potential customers, please be aware of what service you are signing up for. The plumbing repair company said he'd done a bad job, not marked the lines and potentially caused damage by pressurizing the plumbing too much (while trying to detect a leak). They recommended going with American Leak Detection.

I will give Jeremy credit for trying to do a diligent job initially, and for correctly identifying a leak at another property (and when I negotiated with him, he charged me $400 for that since it was easier and quicker to find that leak). That leak detection saved me from tearing up concrete. But I can't imagine if that leak detection was also wrong like the first one, I would have spent another $5000+ only to find out there was no pipe there OR the leak was elsewhere.

Adding a response to Jeremy's reply (10/28):
1) Nowhere in his response does he admit he completely misdiagnosed the leak in the main line. I repeat there was NO PIPE within 5 feet of his identified spot. He has conveniently chosen to overlook that. His response when I showed him a picture of the house to point out the pipe doesn't run where he pointed it out, his response wow, beautiful picture of your house. Nice diversion tactic to avoid accepting that you badly messed up this leak. As you can see from his response he tries to talk about everything except that he completely misdiagnosed this leak.
2) Yes, I did go with a different plumber not because they were cheaper, but because that company was within my home warranty's network, and my portion of the costs were reduced.
3) Yes, I chose to have the pipe replaced because HIS recommended plumber and the one I chose offered a repair cost that was about $2,500 vs. $7K for replacement, but recommended replacing it to avoid further issues. Per Jeremy's suggestion, if I had chosen to repair the pipe, no plumber would have found any pipe where he pointed out the supposed leak. I would have had to replace the pipe anyway or spend more money digging up the concrete where the pipe actually was.
4) And re: submitting the review, I had no choice. I have text evidence of how he kept trying to delay fixing his mistake. And as mentioned in my original review, I was tired of his delays and asked for a refund. He tried to delay that conversation too and when I insisted on a response, he said he wouldn't refund. So I told him that I'm filing a complaint with BBB and Venmo (to dispute the payment) AND submitting reviews on Yelp. There was no threat or implication to do so before he refused to provide a refund. I have text evidence. And if Jeremy has evidence that I threatened a bad review (which is wholly deserved) before he refused a refund, I'd like to see that.
5) And yes, as Jeremy notes, my original outreach said leak in lines FROM meter. I'm not a plumber or contractor who knew that the line from the meter first goes to the house and then to the irrigation system. But by closing different valves, we knew the leak was in the line from the meter. Thanks Jeremy for confirming what we already knew as stated in my review.

Quality Plus Plumbing Plumbing Service
Excellent work & very clean. The owner, Shibly, is very helpful and fun to have.
We live in a small apartment with only 1 bath, so all plumbing problems are critical. He saved us first on labor day weekend. I called several plumbers, and he gladly showed up on sunday after 2 hours. And again today, on a friday afternoon. He arrived only after 30 minutes of calling him.
His prices are very reasonable. He explains the problem, and his advice is usually dead on.
highly recommended.

Tonys Plumbing Plumbing Service
I called Tony at 2pm and he somehow managed to get out to my place only a couple hours later. The Kohler shower trim kit that I bought out turned out to be incompatible with my current rough-in. He didn't charge me to come out and even showed me how to replace it myself once I locate the correct part. 5 stars!

Marti’s Plumbing Service Plumbing Service
Replacement of toilet supply supply line and valve was quick and efficient. Plumber explained every detail. Gave me a price break for that and toilet re-installation since I had already removed the toilet and old valve. It was still very expensive but I haven't gotten a plumbing bill yet from any one that seemed reasonable. I will call them again.

Noah's Plumbing Plumbing Service
Can't thank Noah's Plumbing and my technician, Bernard, enough for the exceptional service and work he's done to diagnose, fix, and provide information about my water heater.

Everytime I've set up an appointment with Fast Water Heater company, it's exactly 15 days until a person comes in. It's absurd and an unrealistic time frame for someone to come in. And when the guy did come in, he didn't even have the part ready. For an hour, he was ordering the correct part and I was left with signing papers proving that he was there. No work was done and I had to wait another 15 days.

Decided to call up Noah's Plumbing the same day and he was able to arrive in 20 minutes and he even had extra parts ready.
He competently worked on fixing the heater and provided details on what was causing it. Before leaving, he made sure that I can call/text him if another problem arises. I'm finally stress-free and can have hot water running again!

Mario's Plumbing And Drains Plumbing Service
Price they quoted me fluctuated. Depending on questions asked.  Got the feeling Mario was quoting whatever he felt he could charge. I felt I had no option because the toilets were backed up and I needed help and I was glad they were able to show up the day after Christmas   Gave a very high quote to put in new sewer line.  Will not call them again.
Mario called me to follow up after seeing my review. He offered a discount and finally decided to return my check which I appreciate. His services were on him yesterday after realizing he had an unhappy customer.  I would say that's good customer service. His work yesterday did show me I definitely need a new sewer line and for the information I am grateful to him.

Fremont Plumbing & Water Heaters Plumbing Service
Works on Pex piping! One of the few companies in fremont that can work with pex water pipes, we called other places and they went through the trouble of coming here for a quote and couldn't help after seeing our pex pipes.

Eddie came and quickly helped us relocate an outside water hose spigot for permitting requirements. Cost was very good and Eddie has a really good attitude. While here they also helped us fix an unknown shower drain issue and advised us to change our toilet for a bedroom toilet that hasn't been working well.

Of course we called them back a couple months later for the toilet. Same fast, courteous, and professional work installing our new toilet.

They went above and beyond when the toilets were bought online required drilling new mounting holes and helped us return the toilets and pick up new ones that would work.

Thank you so much!

Chris was great to work with and super responsive. He was able to help us update our old plumbing in the garage and figure out the best solution to work around issues of an old house. He takes pride in his work and genuinely wants to make sure we're happy with the results. I'm looking forward to working with Chris again the next time I have any plumbing issues.

TrenchFree Plumbing Service
Really happy with this company. I needed my sewer line replaced and learned about TrenchFree's method. It was much cheaper than the quote I got from a traditional plumber. They were patient explaining the process to me and it was clear that they were a better option than a traditional plumber.

Once my appointment was booked, TrenchFree took care of getting the permit with the city and then the crew came out and excavated my front yard. I have artificial turf, so I had to pull it up before they excavated. Honestly, the huge pile of dirt in my front yard was very intimidating. I was worried there was no way that it would all get put back in place. All of the dirt came from just two small-ish (about 3' x 3') holes.

After the excavation, the old pipe was removed and the new pipe was put in. I have full basement, so I'm hoping that made their job a little easier for this hard working crew.

They came back the following day to backfill and to have the city inspect their work.

I was so impressed with the work they did to backfill and put my artificial turf back into place - you'd have to look really, really closely to even notice that anything had changed. Naturally, the project passed inspection.

Getting a sewer line replaced is one of the more expensive and less fun things a homeowner will have to deal with. TrenchFree made it much more tolerable.

Abel is the most honest one out there. Explained what we needed to do so he doesnt have to come back when out shower clogged. Also, he could've charged us all these extra fees like so many others wouldve but he didn't.

Also, hes willing to squeeze in a home visit on short notice if he can. he will work with you to make sure that you get the help you need as soon as possible.

Bayshore Plumbers Plumbing Service
Had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday morning and called Bayshore around 10:30 am.  They gave me a 2 hour window for coming out between 11-1.  Baldomero came out within the window, fixed the repair quickly, and went above and beyond to improve the existing plumbing situation!  We were expecting to pay through the nose, but the bill was totally reasonable!  Highly recommend!
