Best Plumbing Services in San Jose, CA

I originally found Midas Plumbing on Yelp, took a shot and hired John for a job.  And now have hired him several times for any plumbing need.   He is the go to man.  I think he has picked up the phone every time I've called him in need, and he's here that day or next day to help.  His prices are very fair, and he's a good person.  He completely redesigned some old piping under my sink today with pipes that had basically disintegrated over time.  Don't hesitate to hire John, I certainly highly recommend Midas Plumbing.

Had a great experience with a main line clog that was fixed professionally and the same day I called, even though Brian had to come down from Saratoga and stay late to finish the job.  He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and explained the process as well as pricing before he started the job.  A family run business that is looking to expand their clientele and that I would definitely use again for any further plumbing needs.  Wish this business all the best and hope my input persuades some people to use them as well.

Do not use these guys for anything.  My apartment complex has some huge contract with Able to do all plumbing work outside of most in-unit stuff.  On this most recent visit three guys have been looking at the same hole in the ground and the same two inches of broken pipe for two hours.  I guarantee they'll knock off in ten minutes and go to lunch for an hour and a half.  See, with Able they'll always make any work take at least four hours.  They don't give a rat's ass about getting the job done correctly or promptly.  Now on this visit they actually have some tarps down to protect the landscaping but that's only because of the havoc they caused the last time they were here.

Last time they serviced the complex they changed the shut off valves inside each unit - as well as did a bunch of unnecessary work.  How do I know this?  Well when they bailed for lunch I came home from work and saw their entire worklist on the floor in front of my front door.  As for my unit?  Rusty and debris filled pipes all over my carpet and rugs.  Tools on the floor throughout the apartment.  When the worker came back over an hour later, it took him another hour to finish up two valves.  Replace the pipes?  No way!  Not when you can stab the debris out all over my carpet with a screwdriver.  Bleed the lines to knock all the debris out before reconnecting to my faucets?  Of course not!  If they did that then they couldn't come back and tell me know my plumbing sucks because my faucets are running slow - which I later fixed myself by disassembling my faucets and cleaning all the fresh debris and sediment out.  And I'm still trying to clean threadlock off my toilet - thanks for that, dude!  Let's also not forget how they left many people's apartments unlocked with the doors open while they were completely MIA - probably off screwing around or taking another two hour lunch.

Employees of this company just stand around and shoot their mouths off.  One hand on the cell phone on a personal call, one hand on the wrench - that's Able Plumbing.  MAYBE if you have a septic issue they know what they're doing but I have yet to see a single service event where Able has appeared to be even the slightest bit competent.  I have the suspicion that half the positive reviews here are shills for the boss as that's all they talk about.

Highly recommend! Charles M. from $15 Sewer & Drain came out promptly and resolved my *major*, whole house sewage blockage. I was so happy and impressed with the service, the response, the quick resolution and the price! Seriously the best plumbing response I have ever seen from any company!

I'm typically the person that is skeptical of the big service companies, but gotta say, glad I tried this one! Charles M. is a nice guy and absolute pro!

I had a bathtub drain that just wouldnt drain properly. Id tried everything, draino, drain snakes, plunger, enzymes, just nothing would fix this drain. Had Plumbing Connection have a guy come out here and he fixed my drain in about 20 minutes for cheap. Super quick and super fast!

John took the time to talk me through a basic repair over the phone. That didn't work so he fit me into his schedule that day. He was prompt on arrival, fixed my bathroom leak and his charge was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

We were fortunate to find Plumbtree.  They were able to squeeze us in same day and Anthony replaced two frozen valves for us. Perfect job and we could see great attention to making sure everything worked perfectly. Very happy with the result.

Jeremy is polite but be aware of that he would try to make extra money off you in various ways.
He tried to extend the conversation to show that he 'worked' longer hours and charged more.

Got our home gas line replaced after PG&E detected a leak by Shibli. I have to agree with the comment of the building inspector. Solid work. We had another quote which was about $1000 less than what Shibli quoted but we felt Shibli  is very trustworthy as the other plumber seemed to try Bait and switch. His employees are very knowledgeable and completed the work quickly.

Professional specialists with a great attitude! Came before the 3 day weekend, spent 2 hours and fixed a very difficult issue. I highly recommend these guys for their work ethic and reasonable prices.

Having used HR Silicon Valley Plumbing before (I had given them a 5 Plus Rating) I received an Email from them in regard to them offering an annual water heater inspection.

I had additional work that needed to be done so this was a perfect time to have them come out.

Macielle responded quickly to my Email and was very helpful in getting my project started.  

Henry Rivera (the owner) came out with an employee (Agustin) to start the water heater inspection and the additional work that I needed on the water heater and adjacent laundry sink.

It was also a perfect time for them to respond as I just had an issue with my wash machine's standpipe backing up and leaking on the floor. (It pays to have water leak detectors anywhere you might have a leak).

Henry had Agustin crawl under the house to make sure that the standpipe drain pipe was intact and that a snake could be used to help clear the line.

Agustin found an obstruction, but couldn't get it cleared.  It was decided to install a clean out for the standpipe to facilitate any obstructions in the future.  While the drain line was open the obstruction was cleared.

Agustin and Troy arrived the next day to complete the work.

Henry and his crew made sure they were wearing shoe covers when they were in the house and cleaned up the areas they were working in prior to leaving for the day.

The Company is licensed by the Contractors State License Board so they have the required insurance.

As a retired Building Inspector I can highly recommend them as they follow the required codes and do excellent work.

Best service! We've used martis twice prior to this third time and they have ALWAYS been extremely helpful and honest! They've always found time to squeeze in service we've needed even though they were fully booked for the day. Absolutely the best company to call for plumbing services!

We had an issue with the water heater, and he fit us into his schedule on the same day as our call. He came over at the exact time that he said he would. He was thorough in his evaluation of the problem, and I was impressed in his approach to customer service. I would definitely call again.

Had an emergency leak on a saturday night. Mario picked up the phone, was friendly, empathetic and was willing to dispatch a plumber immediately.

We used Khan in a a little more tedious sewage plumbing job in Union City. Taking the toilet seat out, clean up the sewage through the toilet drainage hole, (70 ft. to the street sewage) then re-install the toilet seat. Khan came over quickly and did it with good quality.  We'll be using him in the future for sure.

Unfortunately we discovered a small leak in our main water line underneath the driveway. Our water bill was nearly triple! I called several plumbers and everyone seemed to have the same two answers: either dig up the concrete or move the main water line so it is parallel to the driveway. So I went on Yelp and did some research and called JD Plumbing and spoke with Freddy. He came out within an hour and gave me an estimate. I mentioned that I found him on Yelp and he instantly gave me 10% off. We both agreed on the price and he said that his crew would come by the following day at 8 AM.

The following day Nicolas and Audel arrived on time. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and meticulous. The first thing they did when they arrived was put down two large pieces of plywood so the driveway would not get muddy during the pipeline replacement. They used the pipe bursting method to remove and install the new main water line. After putting in the line, Nicolas then carefully assembled all the plumbing hardware, checking all of his welds 2-3 times for fit and finish. Afterwards they cleaned up and it was almost as if they never came to the house. The warranty on the parts and labor is lifetime.

Highly recommended. Abel and his team was very professional, knowledgeable, quick response (inquiries, messages and concerns), readily available and have excellent customer service. They repair our clogged kitchen sink, installed a new kitchen faucet and a new garbage disposal unit and changed our old pipe.

Mike and his team were super professional and responsive. I was rate shopping around for an installation of water softener and RO system and there were some plumbers that gave sky high quotes and some crazy pipe/parts replacement plans because the P trap of my kitchen sink area has very limited space. Mike came and checked out my house and gave me a very reasonably priced quote and a solution that made sense.

I made an appointment right away without any long wait phone calls. And they finished the job in a little more than an hour. Very efficient and so far it looks perfect. Not only did the installation went well, they also cleaned up and took time to explain to me how the system works. Patiently answered a few of my questions as well.

The idiot who previously owned our house put a saddle valve on a pipe that feeds the bathroom sink in order to get water to the ice maker. Saddle valves are bad. They work, but they're bad. They fail often, they can't shut off the water... put that together with the fact that it's inside the wall, if that thing fails, we'll have a massive problem by the time we notice anything is wrong. So ever since moving in, I've been wanting to replace it with a proper T to split the water, and a ball valve to shut off the water to the ice maker. Problem is I haven't had the time to do it myself. My nerves of the saddle valve failing on me finally got me, and I called these guys to replace it for me. Baldo and Meny came in, looked at the job, went out to their van, and came back in with tools and a big o' tarp. They covered the kitchen floor with their tarp before beginning work. Then within an hour, I had a new T and ball valve.

Fast forward a few weeks. My mom's water heater dies. I go over to look at it, and can hear it trying to kick in. So her thermostat is okay, probably just the starter. She wanted me to fix it... NOW... at 10:00 PM. Mom, where in the world am I going to get you a new starter at 10:00 PM? Don't know, just do it. So I call up these guys again. Surprise, surprise, Baldo and Meny show up. They remember me from my house. And even said, hey don't you live somewhere else? They took a quick look, and said the same thing I told my mom. Replaced the starter, and boom! The water heater fires up.

While writing up the invoice for my mom, they told me that they go to my mom's neighbor quite often to replace the old stuff and to help with the remodeling. The next time I saw my mom's neighbor, I asked them about Baldo and Meny, and they had nothing but good things to say about these two.
