This is the 3rd time we've asked John to help with our drain issue over 15 years.   It's an old house and does not have a clean out port to easily unclog the drain from the ground.  I have called a few plumbing companies that are either refuse to climb up to the roof (single story) to use the hydrojet to flush out the drain or quote outrageous price to do so.  John was reluctant to go to the roof too because he is getting old BUT he called me back to check if I have found someone to fix my problem.  It was getting late and already dark and John still went out of his way to come to our house, climbed on the roof and did the work with a super FAIR price.  Upon completion of the job, John took time to explain the situation and gave advice what not to use/flush down the toilet to the occupant (it's a rental).  I guarantee you that John from Midas is the most honest and caring plumber you can find in this area.  I hope he stays in business or train an apprentice to help/take over his business with the same mindset! His service is A+++

It's always tough to find a good plumber, particularly one that will actually show up to make the estimate.  We needed to do some plumbing alterations for our older home, in order to complete the installation of a modern toilet.  Fantastic Rooter was the first company to call back, and the only company to come on-site for the inspection.  Eduardo returned a few days later to do the work, and completed it for the original estimate amount, even though it took longer than he had planned to do the work.  He was also kind enough to help me install the new toilet once the alterations were finished, at no extra charge.  He was extremely polite, and took extra care to clean up after the job.  Very happy with his work.

Able dismantled our septic system and hooked us up to the sewage system. It's a big job and they did it quickly and I think at a fair price. Each person I dealt with was very professional.

In January I had a problem with my water main leaking. The water main is underground and some tree roots had pushed the pipe out of one of the joints and caused a big leak. They came out and fixed it.

Last week I noticed that the ground above the water main was wet, in the same spot where they fixed it in January. I called them on a Thursday and asked for immediate repair. They missed their appointment time and made a new appointment. Then they missed that appointment and made a new one. They finally showed up towards the end of the day (5 hours late). The plumber who came out said he wasn't qualified to fix it and someone else would have to come out.

The next day (Friday), a different plumber came out, and without digging up the dirt to actually look at the problem, decided that the entire water main would need to be replaced for $2300. I checked the price and the parts to replace the existing water main are only $200 (for 16 feet of pipe), so they're charging $2100 labor. Keep in mind he never actually looked at the problem!

I called and asked how they can do an estimate without looking at the broken pipe and they said the plumber would call my landlord and talk to him. Nobody ever called.

On Monday, I dug up the dirt myself and noticed that the repair they did in January was faulty. I called them up and told them I want them to come out and fix their faulty repair. They were very rude to me and told me that they would only deal with my landlord, and then they called the landlord and again told him that the entire pipe should be replaced for $2,300.

I called them again and told them that I've been a customer of theirs for 2 years and never had a problem, and want to give them a chance to be reasonable and fix this. I asked how they could possibly know the pipe needs to be replaced without ever looking at it. The lady I talked to basically called me a liar and said they did look at the pipe, and kept insisting they did even after I pointed out that the pipe is underground and they didn't dig up the dirt, so it would be impossible to look at it.

They again insisted that they won't talk to me and will only talk to the landlord.

I find these people to be the worst kind of crooks and strongly advise to call someone else. They did a faulty repair, gave an insanely overpriced estimate without actually looking at the broken pipe, and then lied about it repeatedly. And then when I caught them in the lie, they refused to talk to me anymore.

I will be filing a complaint against them with the state license board and ask for my money back for the repair they did in January.

Israr was great, came out to inspect first the situation to confirm the price.  Appreciated the thoughtfulness and care applied to the work.  What I very much appreciated was the sep by step explanation and allowing me to take some photos along the way.  After having original valves in almost 30-year home, Best Buy refuses my washer deliver until these were replaced (see before and after). A portion of the wall had to be cut to gain access but even the cut into the wall and placing back to almost original condition (no texturing as that is not their job) was amazing.  On time, responsive and would definitely recommend using them.  I asked for an extra card to pass it along to other family members!  Thanks for the great and speedy work!  Washer redeliver Ed and everything working great!

John is an honest, hardworking guy who can be depended on to get the job done right. Our toilet was leaking from its base due to the wax ring leaking and then having the steel ring corrode away. This ended up being a lot more than we had originally anticipated and involved needing to go to Home Depot twice, but John persevered and made sure we had a working toilet by the time he left. It's been working well for the past 2 months now.

John charges a reasonable rate and guarantees his work for 1 year.

We needed help with a broken sink faucet and a leaky toilet. Anthony came to our rescue! He was as friendly and professional as could be. He not only solved both problems thoroughly with incredible speed and care, he left our home cleaner than he found it. We are as happy as can be with his service, kindness, and professionalism. If you need help with anything plumbing related Anthony and Plumbtree are certainly the ones for the job!

Lessons Learned:

1. Find and get to know a Trustworthy and Competent Plumber. Leaks and other mishaps can happen and you should already know at least one and possibly two good plumbers.

2. If you suspect a leak or a ruptured pipe, FIRST DO CALL your TRUSTED PLUMBER!   Let him or her assesses the situation and then follow his or her advice regarding the next step.

3. Keep in mind that Leak Detection Technicians are NOT plumbers unless they came from that background. They rely on equipment and not necessary the common sense or a plumber's  experience to identify the problem.  Call a Leak Detection Technician that your trusted plumber recommends only after he or she deems necessary. Most competent plumbers can tell you the source of the problem!

Moral of the story:

Jeremy, the owner of Bullseye, is a nice guy but he is simply incompetent. He ripped me off of $280 for a service which did not find the source of the leak in my property and furthermore he asserted that my water meter was broken which turned out to be a complete error on his part!

Case details:

1. On 9/2/2014, while entering the side yard of my house; I noticed a small pool of water that was accumulated on the ground under the kitchen's window, see enclosed picture. At the first glance, it appeared that leak was originating from beneath the house as the result of possibly a ruptured pipe.

2. I proceeded to contact Bullseye Leak Detection Company based on their good reviews in Yelp. Jeremy was able to come over on 9/3/2014. Upon his arrival, I showed him the location of the leak.

3. Jeremy requested that I shut all the valves in the house and made sure there was no running water anywhere which I did.

4. Jeremy took a look at the water meter to determine the extent of the leak. Although the meter's counter was not registering an extensive leak (no digit movement), a small triangular shape indicator underneath the counter was moving very slowly. Jeremy mentioned that there is leak but fortunately is a small one.

5. Jeremy proceeded to use his detection equipment and concluded that leak seems to be somewhere in the kitchen between the refrigerator and the counter with no reference to a specific pipe.

6. On 9/4/2014, I contacted the Clearwater Plumbing Company and was able to secure an appointment for the same day.

7. Upon their arrival, I showed them the location of the leak and the Bullseye's leak detection report. The Plumber read the report and commented that the report was vague and unhelpful.  He then pointed to the drainage pipe and suggested that the leak is from the drainage pipe's housing. This particular drainage pipe is connected to the second floor's master bath toilet, shower and sink area. We confirmed the leak by flushing the master bath's toilet few times and observing the water leak from the drainage pipe's housing.

8. The Plumber proceeded to unscrew the housing, cleaned its grooves and reattached it back into the drainage pipe.  We flushed the toilet several times and verified that there was no leak. Furthermore, the Plumber inspected the kitchen area, examined the underneath of the refrigerator, dishwasher and the sink and assured me that there is no leak in the kitchen's wall or anywhere else in the kitchen.

9. I brought to Plummer's attention that water meter did indicate a small leak. He suggested that I should contact the Bullseye, explain the situation and request that Jeremy to return and further investigate the source of the leak since the drainage pipe is NOT a water supply line. There must be a leak somewhere in the house.

10. On the same day, I contacted Jeremy and discussed with him the Plumber's findings and asked him to return to further investigate the potential leak in the house. He agreed to come over on 9/8/2014.

11. Jeremy returned, proceeded to investigate the potential leak using his equipment and concluded that there was NO leak in the entire house. Furthermore, Jeremy stated it that the water meter was faulty and I should contact the City of Milpitas  and ask for the inspection of the water meter.

12. I contacted the Milpitas utility department, explained the situation and requested the inspection of the water meter.

13.  The inspectors arrived at my house and upon further investigation, they concluded that water meter was perfectly fine and the source of the leak was a faulty irrigation valve in the front yard (I have two valves) causing a very small amount leak that was being registered by the water meter. I visually confirmed their findings regarding the leaky valve.

14. Keep in mind that Jeremy never asked me about my yard's irrigation system even though these valves are visibly located underneath the facet where he connected his pressure meter to see if there was a loss of the pressure in the house's water supply lines which was none. The water supply to irrigation system is directly connected to the water meter so any leak in the system is registered by the water meter

Ramez is fantastic!! We have used him a couple of times - he's responsive, speedy, and  honest. We had a few plumbing issues including needing our entire house shut off valve replaced, and work on a Grohe faucet - we received the runaround from several other plumbers including quotes for outlandish prices, several
Days between callbacks, some refused to repair Grohe or insisted that we needed to knock holes in our walls in order to do the repairs. Working with Quality Plus was like night and day - we are so glad to have found them, and will use for all our future plumbing needs!! He was totally honest about what we did and didn't need, and got the work done quickly at a totally reasonable price.

Tony's Plumbing was super easy to work with.  I called them for a faucet replacement and they came out the same day, changed it within 30 min and done.  They were friendly, upfront about the cost, prompt, and courteous and cleaned up nicely after themselves.  All in all, it worked out really well and I'm very happy with the experience.

Having used HR Silicon Valley Plumbing before (I had given them a 5 Plus Rating) I received an Email from them in regard to them offering an annual water heater inspection.

I had additional work that needed to be done so this was a perfect time to have them come out.

Macielle responded quickly to my Email and was very helpful in getting my project started.  

Henry Rivera (the owner) came out with an employee (Agustin) to start the water heater inspection and the additional work that I needed on the water heater and adjacent laundry sink.

It was also a perfect time for them to respond as I just had an issue with my wash machine's standpipe backing up and leaking on the floor. (It pays to have water leak detectors anywhere you might have a leak).

Henry had Agustin crawl under the house to make sure that the standpipe drain pipe was intact and that a snake could be used to help clear the line.

Agustin found an obstruction, but couldn't get it cleared.  It was decided to install a clean out for the standpipe to facilitate any obstructions in the future.  While the drain line was open the obstruction was cleared.

Agustin and Troy arrived the next day to complete the work.

Henry and his crew made sure they were wearing shoe covers when they were in the house and cleaned up the areas they were working in prior to leaving for the day.

The Company is licensed by the Contractors State License Board so they have the required insurance.

As a retired Building Inspector I can highly recommend them as they follow the required codes and do excellent work.

First off, ignore the 1 poor review by the lady below. She had no business even writing a review, since this company did not work for her. She can give the guy who finally did her work a poor yelp review in about 5 years when the mixed copper/steel piping starts the electrolysis process and clogs up. Cheap doesn't pay in the long run..

I rent at a house in Foster City, and my home owner agreed to replace all the piping in the house with copper, as it had galvanized steel from the 70's. Victor, Richie?, and his team replaced everything with copper. I mean everything, including outside hose taps, nothing skipped. The copper weld work was masterful and experienced. You never know what a maze it is behind the walls until you actually see it for yourself. Marti's attacks every little issue relentlessly until it is resolved, they are always pursuing perfection. They like to leave a house with bonus additional improvements also, so it's even better than just a piping job. They threw in a bonus under sink floor for us, and did a way better job than the existing one. Then, to the patching and painting. I can't even tell there was any work done, the painted walls are invisible now, down to the correct texture. These guys are not just plumbers, they are really experts on all house work. I would use them again for any of my plumbing needs.

Bernard went above and beyond today.  He arrived on time to replace the pilot assembly in our water heater and did the repair at a reasonable price.  After he left, we still had hot water issues, but it turned out to have nothing to do with the heater or his work. But, he kept talking and texting with me and diagnosed the true plumbing problem over the phone at no additional charge.  Super helpful and honest.

Had an emergency leak on a saturday night. Mario picked up the phone, was friendly, empathetic and was willing to dispatch a plumber immediately.

Plumbing issues? Need some honest folks to fix a plumbing issue?  Khan and Jon are your guys for the job.  This past sunday (yes they are available on Sundays) we had a plumbing stoppage in our home due to backed up pipe.  Khan and Jon came out within a couple hours and within 15 minutes, the problem was fixed.

Not only did they solve the minor problem but the troubleshooted very professionally the other issue @ hand and gave me an esitmate for the issue and told me exactly what I had to replace.  No smoke and mirrors here, but honest upfront answers to an existing issue.  They have the professional commercial equipment available that your ordinary handy man plumbing guy does not have.

Also, we needed some fixtures replaced and they gave me a very reasonable cost for future work.  I think i have found our future plumbers within the tri-city area.

Chris from Pure Flow Plumbing went beyond the call of duty.  He dug up the
dirt around the meter to see what kind of piping I had.  He explained every
part of job he was going to do.  He took his time to help me understand the
complete job.  There were 5 estimates given to me from different plumbing
companies.  His estimate was in the middle.  After the job he cleaned up
and showed me what he did to fix the main pipes to the front of the house.

This young man is a professional plumber, you will not be disappointed.

After receiving quotes from a few companies TrenchFree was the lowest. Got the quote on Monday and the work was completed on Saturday. Crew was on time and explained the entire process. I was curious about the process so I has a lot of questions. They replaced approximately 40 ft of sewer line and it took most of the day. Work was quality and they left my place exactly as it was when they arrived. Great people, great work, and great price. Would recommend to everyone.

Alright y'all -- this is the real deal if you're looking to work on repairing pipes, leaks, plumbing, etc.

Highly recommend them! My handyman was having trouble with installing a newer tub faucet/shower trim on a ~20 year old jacuzzi and shower valve, as it kept leaking.
