Juan called me back right away, gave me the best quote, and showed up a few hours later. He was in and out, in less than an hour. I had a clogged main line, he used the pressure jet to not only clear the clog but cleaned out all of the piping. We used a camera to see that it was done correctly and that there were no other issues. Really great service, very satisfied customer. I'll be sure to refer my family and friends!

This review took far too long to post and I apologize. Anyway I just wanted to give a glowing review to this most excellent handyman who went above and beyond during his visit.

Because I have bad arthritis and my wife has MS we can't really do all of the tasks around the house we used to. So every now and then we have to hire a handyman which hasn't always had the greatest result. However this time we were very pleased with the service and anticipate calling him back again soon to a couple more things.

We specifically called in order to get help in installing a wall TV mount and also mounting a wall lamp. We also needed to tall bookcases earthquake strapped 2 wall studs. The main issue with our apartment being that the studs are very strange and not always where you would expect them to be based on any reasonable kind of construction normals. He was able to find studs for our mounts and get everything installed in very short order as well as attaching the earthquake straps to our bookshelves. While he was doing this he actually went to the trouble of showing how I could figure out using a tape measure in particular measurements to find the studs in our weirdo apartment.

So we would like to give a great recommendation to this most excellent jack of all trades. His costs were also very reasonable and actually less than the last handyperson we used who was a complete disaster. They were up in Seattle though so you don't have to worry about them.

Felt like that scene from Ghost Busters - toilets backing up, shower pan flooded, poo coming out the front yard clean-out, dogs & cats living together... you get the picture.

Our dystopian plumbing day finally happened and I called Simply Green because they had Simply fixed a previous problem and the owner Kevin was on top of that job.

Fast forward - job done. Poo flows. Project managed perfectly from jack hammering driver (oh yes in my world armageddon the f'ing pipe had to run UNDER the driveway) to the smooth perfect concrete replacement.

But seriously, the best part of the entire project was calling the office just to hear Kimberly say, It's a great day at Simply Green Plumbing. How can I make you smile?

I've had really good  experiences with KVN plumbing. They come when they say, The work is done professionally and I never have to wait around for them. The customer service is amazing and they are always friendly. I have had multiple problems in the past  year when I have requested their service and they have always done an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone in the area!

I really can not say enough nice things about Johnny. This time he removed and installed a dishwasher, kitchen faucet, and redid the plumbing under the sink. In order to remove the dishwasher he had to remove some of the tile. Although he does not do tiling, he left the area very clean and neat looking. It is so comforting to know I have someone to depend upon. Would not think of using anyone else.

Wow, never thought how bad it would be when the water heater goes out until it happened to me while my in laws were visiting. I called a different plumber first who came on Friday and mentioned he'd return but we never heard from him again. After leaving a desperate message for Reed plumbing on Friday night, Marco called me back Saturday saying he'd be willing to pick up and install the broken gas valve.  It doesn't end there, the gas valve wasn't the only problem so Marco called in a few favors himself to get a new burner for us on the same day. A little while later, Marco had us back with hot water. He went so far out of his way to fix the problem during weekend hours and I'm truly grateful for it . I highly recommend Reed plumbing for anyone in the tri-Valley area with plumbing issues.

Our toilets were overflowing Wednesday night, I reached out for quotes through yelp.  Gator Rooter was one of the first to respond on yelp and call me Thursday morning. Nestor came 20-30ish mins after calling me. He used the camera which he quoted 250 to see what the root of the problem was.  He saw toilet paper waded up like paste and then went out to check the pipes under our home. After inspecting the pipes he showed us pictures of corrosion of the steel pipes and leakage. He suggested we repipe to fix the the leakages and pluming all together. He quoted us a little over 6k and we all agreed on 6K. Nestor went for parts and started before his team of two (who looked really young though - I am no ageist but hope they were part of Gator Rooter as they were not in uniform as Nestor was which is bit of concern). My husband had though he had asked him the pipes are going to be replaced by the same style pipes which were steel but he ended up saying no - maybe miscommunication in the original conversation. They were replaced with plastic pipes which he reassured us are best and being used everywhere and should last more than 20-30 years (we really hope this is true as we are no experts). When they were down there fixing they noticed another part that for the toilets (toilet connection and it was rusty and old) that were a issue and suggested we replaced he confirmed he could do it for a additional 600, he did both toilets. All in all Nestor was profession, showed us pictures, kept us informed, worked diligently and checked every toilet, sinks and showers to ensure everything was working great before leaving. He confirmed he could get the job done by 6 or 7pm, he was almost exact he was done and left around 6:22ish (very impressed)! Nestor gave us his personal card should we need anything additional in the future, which we certainly will. I would recommend Gator /Nestor to my family and friends!! Thanks Nestor and Gator team!!

I needed help to assemble a Lifetime 54 portable basketball hoop that I purchased from Amazon. Reading online howto's about the installation seemed time consuming and difficult. I messaged a few handymans on Yelp but decided to go with Tegene Handyman services due to fast responses, reviews and a reasonable price. Boy.. was I lucky to find someone like Abdu who helped with this. It took a few hours as expected and he was on time, professional and friendly. The hoop came out perfect and my son loves it! I will definitely reach out again to these guys for future projects.

This is a repeat of what I wrote on another occasion. We recently again had need of Art's capable hands for a home plumbing problem. Everything I wrote before applies, so I am gratefully resubmitting this review: I wouldn't hesitate for one minute to recommend Art Hansen for a plumbing job.  We are a senior couple who had put off some plumbing repairs in our 1924 Palo Alto home until we could ignore them no longer. Not knowing where to turn, I looked at the reference page of Yelp and I was convinced immediately that he was our guy. Art was everything a professional plumber should be and so much more. He's thoroughly professional, responsive, diligent and highly skilled. Understanding what some of our plumbing issues were (past tense) with our vintage fixtures, he went about remedying our long standing problems. He took pains to explain the nature of the problems and the possible remedies. Had I known how  little effort it should take to flush a toilet or to stop a faucet from dripping, we would have called him long ago. I want to add that our problems were not trivial. This was not a question of a washer here or there. Parts (difficult to find) were required, and Art had to return several times to complete the job. He did all work neatly and cheerfully, actually working with my husband to find sources for the parts. We recommend him with confidence.

I came home after work to a flooded garaged and backyard. My water heater had broke sometime during the day and was gushing, yes gushing water out of the bottom. Cedric showed up in about 30 mins to assess the situation and put in the new water heater with a co-worker the next day at my convenience. Great work, quick service, and they were friendly.

I was in need of a plumber to fix a broken sink drain and replace my laundry hookups and was referred to Josh Fisher. We called him this morning and he was here by this afternoon! His pricing was fair and he was incredibly respectful and professional. So glad that I found Fisher Plumbing and I will definitely use them in the future!

Needed a plumber nearby Watsonville, to fix a leak from our washing machine. Called Henry's Plumbing from online google, Enrique told us Leo was coming first thing in the morning, was early, rooted out our whole line, but the leak continued on the next load, called Enrique at Henry's again, they came out the next morning early, analyzed the problem and fixed it with no further cost. They were courteous, efficient and  knowledgeable. I highly recommend Henry's Plumbing and will continue to call them for our plumbing needs. Lorraine Sandoval-Vigil

I'm very impressed with this company. I had an emergency, was freaking out, and ended up with this company at my house. I'm almost, almost, glad my plumbing exploded. From the lady who answered the phone to the crew at my house, I was happy with the service. Nick and Adam came out twice, over a 2 day job, and made sure I knew everything that was happening as well as reassuring me that they would fix it / find the problem. They were very respectful, personable, and professional. They cleaned up after themselves really well, no evidence left behind. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again and / or recommend them to others.

Vince came out during the latest wind storm and power outage to address a geyser that happened in our backyard. Part of the rear fence blew over and broke a pipe, which was shooting water 9 feet into the air. I had to turn off water to the entire property to get Old Faithful to stop, but that meant we needed someone to come out quickly. After a Yelp search on a Sunday afternoon, I landed on VIP. Vince picked up immediately and was at our place within 2-3 hours. He fixed the pipe in about 45 minutes for a reasonable price. Total pro that I'll use again!

Not good for Palo Alto area.  Canceled an appointment and cost us greater than one day setback in fixing the only shower in our condo.

We asked Guy plumbing to investigate a leaky shower in our condo.  They agreed to come out within ~24 hrs.  So far, so good.

On the morning before the appointment, we asked about the allotted one hour time frame.  The receptionist explained that even if more time were needed, this was a standard first step and that there was still value in just having the initial investigation.  We were fine with that -- until about five minutes later, the owner called us to cancel the appointment.

If you are reading this, you probably work as many hours as my wife and I do -- you probably live in, or near to, Palo Alto and you are a professional broadly categorized as in the technology industry.  Needless to say, we contacted Guy because of good yelp and because we see value in getting the best service.  Our time is very valuable -- not being able to shower at home is a big problem.

From my perspective, I am trying to get the most value out of each appointment and get this solved quickly.  From Guy's perspective, I am a problem customer.

My takeaway:  if you want to do business with Guy, don't ask questions.  Don't try to investigate yourself.

I called these guys about a clogged toilet. Seemed like a basic service. While the dispatcher was pleasant (ergo the 3rd star) she was unable to give me any kind of price range. The plumber was supposed to come out and assess and then give me a price.  I doubt I would have someone come out, look at my clogged toilet (yuck) and then tell him/her I didn't like the price.  So instead I called my other plumber Precision, who while expensive at $145 a pop at least allowed me to know up front what I'd be on the hook for. I would highly recommend this agency at least give a range.

Had them come and clear a clog at my home in Sunnyvale that another rooter company could not handle. Turned out it was a root about 109 ft down the line from the roof vent. The not so Elite Rooter company didn't even have snakes long enough to do it. Thomas is much more than just a rooter company they are actual plumbers. My plumber was named Dean and he went above and beyond working this out and cutting out the root with a special head. I am very impressed with this company and felt that way after talking to the owner Dave on the phone. I'm going to have them install an exterior clean out which older houses sometimes don't have. Once that is in, Future cutting of that root will be even easier because they will be able to use a larger diameter cutting head on the snake. Going forward this will be my plumber of choice!

**Update** Had them install the clean out. Jerry did the work and did an amazing job working well after dark to make sure it was done right. Great work ethic by this company.

Had an appointment scheduled for Saturday and they canceled my appointment that morning with no alternatives but to wait a few days.   I don't know why I decided to try this company but I thought why not, my mistake.  I decided to contact Mr. Rooter who I had used in the past and they came out that day and completed the job quickly.  I will never call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing again.
