Best Plumbing Services in San Jose, CA
I've used this company twice (once to fix my leaking pipes in the crawl space and to troubleshoot water heater) and they are very responsive. Today, Juan came by and taught me how to troubleshoot my water heater as I wasn't receiving hot water. He was very nice and informative. I will use them again.

This review took far too long to post and I apologize. Anyway I just wanted to give a glowing review to this most excellent handyman who went above and beyond during his visit.
Because I have bad arthritis and my wife has MS we can't really do all of the tasks around the house we used to. So every now and then we have to hire a handyman which hasn't always had the greatest result. However this time we were very pleased with the service and anticipate calling him back again soon to a couple more things.
We specifically called in order to get help in installing a wall TV mount and also mounting a wall lamp. We also needed to tall bookcases earthquake strapped 2 wall studs. The main issue with our apartment being that the studs are very strange and not always where you would expect them to be based on any reasonable kind of construction normals. He was able to find studs for our mounts and get everything installed in very short order as well as attaching the earthquake straps to our bookshelves. While he was doing this he actually went to the trouble of showing how I could figure out using a tape measure in particular measurements to find the studs in our weirdo apartment.
So we would like to give a great recommendation to this most excellent jack of all trades. His costs were also very reasonable and actually less than the last handyperson we used who was a complete disaster. They were up in Seattle though so you don't have to worry about them.

Simply amazing! Had a standing water issue in one of my bathrooms and they were able to come out the same day to rectify the issue. They answered all questions quickly and was able to finish in a hour.

Really, No stars. Worst service ever. Left us with a leaky basement cuz he really doesn't know what to do to reseal entrances after he's installed new pipe leading to the outside egress line. Ghosted us for 3 days then he shows up with rocks (?) to seal the hole. Not even smart enough or helpful enough to either offer us a partial refund or help us sand bag the area before the next storm. Do NOT use this business. Not all small businesses have integrity. Lesson learned. My 68 year old husband and I have been dealing with the considerable fallout !! Basement soaked two times since this work was completed . Now wondering why or how he's managed to get such good reviews. Have u all looked to see if your crawl space is dry ?

My tenants had a handful of issues that popped up - toilet valve had an issue where the toilet kept running, a leak in the dishwasher vent causing water to go under and above, and an issue with the microwave range hood not delivering ventilation. I reached out to a number of handyman services and this one was quick, responsive, and able to address all three of them. They provided availability and quickly coordinated with my tenants to pick schedule. On the day of, they gave my tenants a one-hour window, were prompt, and had two repairmen show up. They finished in 45 minutes and since they were able to finish quicker than they anticipated, they actually discounted the price that they initially quoted me. All three issues were taken care of quickly, my tenants were pleased, and I would definitely use them again for future repair needs.

We have used Art twice and he has been great both times. He is very responsive, very competent and willing to talk you through the likely reasons for the problems. I highly recommend Art.

My first thought when speaking with Cedric on the phone was, This young man was raised well. He and his team were really wonderful. He made 2 trips to my home, which was 20 miles from his business, for a broken water heater. Was only charged for one trip. Came back the same day to install new water heater. I could tell by his work that he really knows his plumbing. I liked him right away. Big smile. The ladies in the office were also considerate and gave me time to plan my payment of the bill. What a relief to meet an honest plumber who cares. I have him on speed dial. Thanks, Cedric.

Called PA Plumbing yesterday and they got a plumber out on my schedule the next day. Jacob and Rico connected a couple of appliances for me. Professional, knowledgable and courteous. Found a leak in an unrelated area and fixed that. Lucky for me I called Palo Alto Plumbing. Great service!

I was referred to Josh by a friend for our plumbing needs. I work in a small office in Los Altos and hired J. Fisher Plumbing to take care of the plumbing in our office. I was very satisfied with the prompt service we received and the quality of the work done. Josh is very responsive via email and phone and he really is an expert in his field. I would definitely recommend J. Fisher Plumbing for any office or home needs. He makes you feel valued as a customer and cares about cleaning up after a job. For the great quality of work done, his prices are very reasonable.

I had a new toilet installed and it works great. The plumber arrived on time and was courteous, skilled, and professional, and the invoice arrived promptly. I would definitely use Henry's again.

Where do I begin? After receiving a few horrendously overpriced 'blanket' quotes where the electricians didn't even ask for pictures of our issues or ask questions about them and being told 'oh well we won't know what we'll find so it may cost you more' I was close to giving up and calling my uncle who is a handyman. (Note: never use your family for electric work, you want professionals who know what 'up to code' exactly means lol.) My home was built in 1960 and survived a fire in the past, we have multiple problem areas but mainly I was having cabinetry installed on a wall and needed the outlet and light switches moved around. So I called Pacific Coast Electricians thinking maaaaybe they would be just as dismissive but at least perhaps a little less rude? My expectations were oh-so low. But that was my experience to date. So anyhow, I sucked it up and called. And got Andrew! Polite, respectful, asked questions, and stayed on the phone until all my concerns were addressed. I set an appointment for him to come in and the rest is wonderful history! When Andrew came in to do the assessment he laid out all my options and even asked if there were any other problem areas we would like to check. And he checked them all! This is no small feat as we are rearranging our house and took things out of storage. Think hoarders but less (and hopefully all cleaned up in another few months.) I wasn't prepared to have him check some older outlets which were behind boxes but he patiently waited until I cleared paths.. hah. Anyhow, after all that we signed up to do the main job - the rearranging of outlets and a light switch on one wall. We actually signed up for the membership option for a future assessment of the wiring of our entire home and added 13 GFCI (hope that's right) updates. On the day of the job, the crew who arrived were Chad and Jorge. We have kids who play on the floors a lot so before we even asked them if they had shoe covers they busted them out before stepping into the house and were already politely asking where they should start first. Chad did a marvelous job of explaining what lay behind our wall as he had to rewire and cut out parts of the drywall to achieve what we were looking to do. We had a few issues with fire blocks and a whole beam in the way so he offered up alternative solutions which was amazing. Jorge patiently rewired and made our outlets up to code but two of our rooms have I guess 'fried' wires (for lack of a better description) and we know that's the next job we need to tackle. Anyhow, Chad and Jorge were our good friends by the end of the day and their attention to detail and service didn't end there! Honorable mention - we had a broken ceiling fan due to my daughter wrapping a balloon string around it one day... four years ago. As we don't know any better (but now we do) we continued to use that fan even if we heard it struggle through the string. Big mistake, that was actually a fire hazard and had Chad not checked it out for us we may still be using it today! So, fast forward to the last day on the job, Chad had a new electrician with him, Eddie. Just as pleasant, nice, and respectful! Chad and Eddie finished the outlet conversions (we still had metal boxes, another fire hazard), and laid out our options with our fan. They took it down and we are presently searching for a new one but we know we can call Pacific Coast Electricians and we will get the same amazing service no matter who they send out! So to Andrew (who followed up with calls to us and their electrician crew every step of the way), Chad, Jorge, and Eddie, thank you guys! Looking forward to seeing you back when we uhh.. take care of other fire hazards in our home hah. But seriously, you guys are the best thing since sliced bread, we are recommending you to everyone we know!!!

Wow! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH ELDRIDGE AND SONS PLUMBING!!!! What a day...After having 2 other contractors come to give estimates to replace our water heater that flooded my entire garage. Their Technician arrived almost immediately, the walk through only took about 10 minutes or so. He helped me mop up most of the water and move around the garage, it was such a mess & I was supposed to be at work by this point, I was stressing myself out, he was so happy to help, what a relief. When I got off work that afternoon the quote was already in my email inbox!! They hooked me up and had it all fixed that Thursday afternoon faster, and at a MUCH, MUCH more competitive rate. I dont know how they did it for so much less. Needless to say my Wife was happy we had our hot water back
Thanks for saving my ass.

Our tankless water heater got a code 11, Vince came out and serviced the igniter and all is good now. Worth noting, we had this same service done 1 year ago by Valley Plumbing and the unit did not look properly cleaned, and they would only come out this time if we agreed to replace the unit which made no sense at only 7 years old. Vince is awesome and I highly recommend him. He's certified on many different brands and is a joy to chat with as well.

We've had several excellent experiences with this company. Mostly recently, they replaced the pilot light assembly on our hot water heater. As other folks have stated, fast & friendly service with very high ethical standards (e.g. lady on phone counseled me to try re-light procedure on pilot before incurring cost of service call, clearly stated cost estimates for work to be performed, stated min work time, etc.). I completely trust these guys. Bonus points for being a local business! And for the Guy Plumbing pencils they give you after a visit - old school! :-). Highly recommend.

We wanted to make sure that our roof leak was not associated with the drain pipe. The plumber was very thorough in evaluating the situation with a water test etc. I'm very happy with the thorough job performed.

This review is LONG overdue, but the guy they sent out was responsive, patient, and knowledgeable :-). He educated me and my husband about our water softening tech and advised us regarding our hot water tank. Would definitely recommend these guys. They're smart, reasonably priced, and prompt - what more could you ask for?

Benjamin Franklin plumbing sold us an on-demand water heater 7 years ago which recently started leaking. We contacted that manufacturer of the unit who provided us with the new heat exchanger which was covered under warranty. Unfortunately, labor was not included in the warranty coverage so we contacted BF plumbing to have a service person come to our house and replace the part. Here is a summary of our experience:
I asked the person on the telephone if BF has experience servicing this make/model water heater and she responded, Oh yes absolutely!. I then made an appointment to have a service person come out two working days later, between the hours of 8 AM - noon.
On the day of the appointment, having taken a day off work, nobody had arrived by noon so I called them and the person I spoke to told me that they had a scheduling error. So much for the company that advertises itself as The Punctual Plumber. To their credit, they apologized and told me they would have a technician out by 2:00 PM and the technician arrived shortly before 2:00. I thought that everything would be back on track, but this was when things got ugly....
The technician told me that the unit was installed incorrectly and offered to fix everything for me. When I told him that the unit had been installed by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, he told me that the company was under different ownership previously and that they were not responsible for what the company had done when it was under prior ownership. Even if that was a true statement, I would think that a company with an ounce of integrity would stand behind an installation that has their name attached to it. When I told him that I only wanted the leaking part fixed, he hum-hawed around, telling me how difficult it would be to repair, and then stated that he thinks someone back at the shop knows something about these units but that it is too difficult to fix while is it hanging on the wall and would need to be completely disconnected and taken back to the shop (not true according to the manufacturer of the unit).
He then told me he could get me hot water the same day be installing a new unit at a discounted price of FOUR-THOUSAND-FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!! We paid 3,500 for the original unit which had included all of the conversion costs to switch to a tankless water heater.
I sent him away (thankfully he did not charge for the service visit...he was clearly embarrassed) and referring to the instructions that came with the replacement heat exchanger, successfully changed out the part myself, having had no prior experience, and without removing it from the wall, in about four hours simply by carefully following the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the unit.
Pretty sad when a company misrepresents its experience, arrives late, does not stand behind its prior installation and tries to take advantage of the situation by selling us an even more expensive unit. Also pretty sad that they are unable to service a unit that they sold us. On the positive side though, if the dang thing ever leaks again, I will know how to fix it myself (it really wasn't that difficult).
I gave them one star only because zero stars is not an option.....
