Best Plumbing Services in San Jose, CA

I hate to do this because I think the owner is great but I figure I need to be honest. I paid $110 for nothing.  A few weeks ago, my upstairs shower started to have low pressure and no hot water. Weird thing was that the rest of the house had hot water.  Water Quality (Issac) came out and gave me a diagnosis. He cleaned the screens and said it could be a couple of things but he wanted to start with getting my tank cleaned but they needed to reschedule for that. They also recommended getting a  a water softener and he also proceeded to tell me that I just have low water pressure in general. Ok. yeah well that shower had pressure two days ago though, strange?  So a few days go by and I'm still taking showers downstairs in the guest bathroom or at the gym. I finally get a call and guess what- it's not to fix my low trickle or my cold water shower.. It's to get a water softener quote. Um??? I think getting my shower fixed is a higher priority.  Anyway- after a week, I got fed up and rather than call back to try and get my problem fixed, I called a plumber who specializes in tankless water cleaning. He told me that the initial diagnosis was wrong. Makes no sense if the other faucets are getting hot water. Particularly the tub which is right next to my cold water shower.

I didn't bother to call because I wanted to see how long it would take to get a return call. In hindsight it might have been a blessng in disguise because I would have had to pay for the tank cleaning and the water softener before actually getting the problem resolved

Anyway long story short. I ended up calling Dempster plumbing. They were committed to fixing my problem. They said the tank cleaning was wrong too and went straight to replacing the thermo cartridge. In the end it was expensive but hey-- the goal was to fix the shower not spend weeks trying to diagnose the problem.  I am now taking the hottest shower with incredible water pressure. In fact, its kindof strong so I take down the handle a little bit. Woo Hoo! I guess I dont have low water pressure after all...

So all in all, I think WQP just didn't deliver and fell short of my expectations and frankly it was just as though I lost $100 bucks. I don't think it was intentional and I know they are professional. I spoke to the owner and let him know and he was very apologetic and wanted to fix the problem. But I was already in progress with getting the job fixed correctly the first time.

I know they have great reviews and I dont doubt the other reviews. In this case, it was just a waste of $100 bucks and week of waiting for a call and the inconvenience of having to shower in the guest bathroom which I hate.  Sorry to have to write this....

We needed a kitchen faucet replaced . Andy came and did the job very professionally and timely . Great job !

Our toilet is original to our place which means it is easily approaching 20 years old. What started as a weak flush escalated into a perpetually running toilet as the toilet could not quite fill itself to the point to tell the pump to stop filling it with water as the flap at the bottom had eroded. We tried our YouTube meets Amazon wizardry to try to replace the flap but our toilet was too old and it failed epically. We called a competitor who came out and diagnosed our toilet as being too old and quoted us an installation price that was fast approaching four figures -- not including the cost of the toilet! Keep in mind we were just asking for a standard toilet replacement, not a bidet or anything fancy.

I called around and reached Vic and was able to explain my situation as well as provide photos of the toilet. He asked about the valve as well and I sent him a picture of that as well and recommended that it may need to be replaced as well. He was reasonable and was able to come quickly. Vic even offered to pick up the toilet for us, which was a great help and timesaver (toilets are REALLY heavy btw).

The day arrives and Vic arrives on time and ready to roll when we realized the waterline was not shut off (even though the HOA implied this would be part of the process...). After confirming the location of the pipes in the building (unlabeled, mind you), Vic was able to turn off the waterline and completed the service in under 2 hours. He replaced the toilet as well as updated the valve so in the future we wouldn't have to involve the HOA to turn off the water supply.

It was barely 11 am when he finished and I while I had steeled myself for a daylong ordeal he was already done -- new toilet installed, old toilet removed, all the social distancing protocols (masks, gloves, booties to cover his shoes) followed to a T. Thank you, Vic, for bringing a newfound quiet that we didn't even realize we were missing as well as a new toilet!

Before Santos started his own business, he worked at another plumbing company and had done some plumbing repair work at our house.  He did a great job and very reliable with very honest pricing. This is the 2nd time we've worked with Santos on a plumbing issue at our home. He and his team work quickly and efficiently, he explains everything that needs to be done, they are friendly and respectful...just a great experience. We highly recommended Santos and having a plumber you can trust and rely on.

Mariano should be employee of the month. He's fast, knowledgeable, and responsive. We've had a terrific experience working with him.

Kevin and his team were very responsive and professional. I was remodeling my kitchen and needed the water pipes to be rerouted since I was switching the positions of the sink and the dishwasher.  Kevin found another problem once the walls were opened and they fixed it too.  Everything was done on time. Highly recommend them.

I called in the morning and Anthony came to our home to fix our leaking tub the same day.  He charged us his cost for the parts and fixed a leaky valve outside for free.  His labor rate was reasonable.  He was timely, prompt, clean, courteous and professional.  I definitely will use him again.

What can I say amazing service. I have been trying to get my tub and sink unclogged for three days finally I had enough its been hot and I needed to shower. I did not want to take a shower in dirty black water so I called around. From the time I called to the time he came it was only 20 minutes super fast. He was so professional and he was very nice. He fixed the clog and thanks to him I can now shower in a clean tub. If i ever need a plumber this is the plumber im going to call he is fast, reliable, and professional. Very happy with the service.

We have had Takai reroute my shutoffs on my washer and he also replaced our main shutoff coming into the house,  also replace the pipe coming
into the house from the main, and replaced some fittings, everything he has
done has been excellent, I would highly recommend him to anyone, he is very reliable, honest and he knows what he doing!

My kitchen sink was clogged I chose them from yelp. I quested a quote from several plumbers and they responded in minutes and came on the same day. William was very nice and professional he answered  any questions that we had. Once they were done they checked their work and cleaned up after themselves. I would hire them again.

I had multiple drains plugged and I needed urgent help.  I called Patterson Plumbing because I wanted an experienced plumber.  Often the bigger plumbing companies have several experienced plumbers and many less experienced plumbers.  They send someone less experienced initially and after he has wasted your time and possibly screwed things up, a more experienced supervisor will come out hours or days later.  Patterson plumbing has 1 plumber, Ivan, who has 15+ years of experience.  

I called Patterson and left a message. He called back in about 10 minutes.  After listening to my story he said he was just pulling up to his next job and he was too busy today and tomorrow to help me.  He suggested that I try to find someone else, but said he would call back if something changed.  

He called back 10 minutes later and said he could come in 15 minutes (I don't know what changed).  10 minutes later he was at my front door.  

I showed him what was going on.  Initially he tried something simple that didn't work.  After a little more investigation he said he was pretty sure the main drain was clogged.  He was right.  It took about 20 minutes to get the snake into the drain and find the clog.  It took about 5 minutes to clear the clog.  He spent an extra 15 minutes snaking the drain in 2 directions, to make sure everything was clear.  We spent another 5 minutes with the water running and everything seems to be fine.  

So, after about a total of 60 minutes my problem was solved.  I paid him and he was on his way to his next job!

Alex was great. He had an opening the next day we called and came out to clear the kitchen drain.  Very professional with mask, gloves and shoe booties to protect our floors.  He went with the smaller drain snake option to start but when it wasn't good enough switches to the larger roller drain snake.  Rolled out a mat to make so no stains from the wheels were on the floors.  Did a clean up afterwards to make sure any drips and spills were gone.  Price matched quoted price, no up charges or add on fees.  I would recommend.

When other companies did not return my call, SPS plumbers did not ignore my call.  Shawna quickly put me on their schedule, and the owner, Steven Sosa, came to rescue my brand new AO Smith water heater.  He was very thorough and quickly fixed the problem.  Great service and prompt response!  Will definitely use this company again.

Our kitchen sink has been backed up for months. I began making my way through yelp in search of a specialized plumber and was put in contact with Bunnies plumbing. Adhemar, responded to all of my questions was very patient with me. When he came out to inspect the plumbing issue he was straight forward and explained everything so I could understand. Unfortunately, the plumbing issue wasn't fixed because it requires a second visit. I definitely recommend Bunnies plumbing.

Soooo I was supposed to have my refrigerator installed today but the guys told me that they couldn't figure out the shut off valve of the water pump that was coming from the fridge so they would leave my new fridge in the garage and would come back when I figure out which valve it was.  I was livid.  Why wouldn't you tell your customers that this is something that needs to be figured out before the delivery/installers come over?!  Anyway, I went on the hunt for a plumber, scared of the fee's that would be charged just for someone to point to me where the shut off valve was for this water pump.  One guy called me back and told me $50.  I thought that was a little absurd.  So I waited and waited for Shawn to call me back and he did!!!  Shawn was so professional, patient and helpful!  I am so not a handy person around the house but he walked me through all the different tubes and valves and pipes and told me what to do and low and behold, guess what I did?!  I shut off the water valve all by myself!!  No fee's, no charges, no wasted time coming over for something simple as that.  Thank you so much Shawn!!  You were truly a blessing!  I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would call him if we needed anything else!

Charley's Plumbing was hired though a contractor who was remodeling my bathroom.  He explained his worked to me and I appreciated the time he took to make me feel comfortable.  I mentioned that I would like to have my home repiped.  Not only did he explained the process, his team showed up as expected, kept to his estimated timeline, very neat during and at completion, were Covid minded, and gave me a fair price.  Since then, I have requested additional services.  Charley and his team has provided the same professional service.  In this time of scammers and dishonest companies, it is a relief to find a company that I can trust.  I have referred him every chance I get because feel I have found a rare gem.
