Our kitchen faucet broke and we were able to schedule with Barnett to come out the next day and fix it. Our technician Matt was great! He was friendly and professional and was more than eager to help us decide on the right faucet. Matt was in and out but very thorough.

Our tank-less water heater bit the dust.....Barnett to the rescue! Having no hot water is no fun and they made the replacement process quick and easy. What I liked the best is they answer the phone every time, we called a few other plumbers that might not get back to you for hours, something to be said for customer service!!

Great, prompt, professional service at a great value! I called this morning to schedule a quote for a temperature regulator problem in one of my showers. The appointment was scheduled right away. I received a text with a photo and estimated  arrival time from the plumber assigned to me. Colin arrived, assessed the problem, told me what needed to be done and gave me a very reasonable quote. He had the part and was able to complete the repair on the spot. Awesome service! I strongly recommend Colin and Barnett Plumbing.

Our hot water ran out yesterday morning and we called several places w/o any luck.  Most couldn't have a tech here until the next day or the day after.  One place told us to call a bigger company so that they have more availability, especially with parts.
I've seen Barnett Plumbing's trucks drive around livermore and I noticed they have amazing reviews on Yelp.  I gather they're not the the cheapest, nor the most expensive, so they're somewhere in the middle.  We gave them a call this morning and they had a technician here within 45 minutes.

Jesse T was our tech and he was fantastic.  He called when he was on his way.  He was very honest and upfront.  He said he could try to repair the box on our heater, but we would pay the per hour charge and he would have go around and look for the particular unit.  In the end, we decided to replace it since our heater is 12 years old and we just moved in to our home 4 months ago.  

He gave us 3 package options and we chose the one with a 6 year warranty on the heater and 6 year warranty on labor.  Again, they're not the cheapest, but their work is guaranteed and they finished within 3 hours.  Jesse did a walkthrough with us when he was done.  We felt that this was simple, honest, straightforward.....no gimmicks and we didn't feel like they were upselling.

Overall, I highly recommend and the next time we need anything, we will go to Barnett's again.

Barnett Plumbing is top-notch and very dependable.  I've used their services various times and have never been disappointed.  Their plumbers are on-time, courteous, expert and work is done right.  Yesterday, Ron replaced my water heater and it was a tough job due to the location of it.  It took 4 hours but at the end, I have hot water again!!  If I need a plumber, I will call Barnett every time.  Thank you!

We noticed a leak in our 2nd Floor ceiling underneath the Master Bathroom Shower that bubbled up and caused water to drip down onto our stairs. I called in and made a same-day appointment with a 2-5pm window (which would have began about an hour after I called). Alberto was assigned and showed up promptly at 2pm. He diagnosed the problem relatively quickly as a leak around our shower drain. He told us what needed to be done for repairs and was able to start right away and finished the repairs by 4pm. So what could have been a major headache and inconvenience was diagnosed and solved within 4 hours of us discovering the problem. Would use again if we have other plumbing related needs.

We had Ryan F. from Barnet replace our sink faucet and drain. He has been to our home before to do other work. We have been very happy with the work Ryan has done for us both times. Every time Barnet has done work for us we have been very pleased with the results.

Replacing a water heater isn't one of those things you ever dream about doing to your home but is inevitable if you stay long enough. However, with that being said, we were very pleased with the customer service that was extended to us.
The technicians were polite and professional.
Brandon and Rob worked well together and thoroughly explained the new unit. These guys were super efficient. After they completed the installation both cleaned up and left our premises clean and orderly.

We purchased a new washer from a local big box store. They delivered the washer but would not try to install due to the age of he hot/cold valves. Ron installed new hot/cold valves for our new washing machine for a very reasonable price. He even moved the washer into position and hooked it up - so I didn't have to deal with big box retailer to finish the install. We always request Ron - he's the best!

Late review but had a technician come out to look at a few items.  They provided an estimate for my bath/shower project but shared that I might be able to fix it myself if I'm handy and told me the other two projects weren't necessary and shared easy fixes.  

I ended up being able to fix my bath/shower myself but almost made things worse.  It took an entire day for me to replace the positemp water valve.  After the time and stress, I wished I would have just gave Barnett the business.  Will definitely give them my business next time.

I was scheduled for an appointment with Barnett plumbing for Wednesday. However I received a call this morning advising me that there was a slot available today.   The tech was here literally within an hour of the phone call.

The technician Matt was cheerful and informative.  He gave me the two choices for our kitchen faucet replacement and gave me the pros and cons of each choice. He was very friendly  and knowledgeable as well as being easy and fun to talk to.

He did a great job and  willingly provided info regarding additional work I am considering having done.

I've used Barnett Plumbing for several years and would not entrust my plumbing repairs and service to  any other company.

We had a service line break near our main. Alex C was our technician and did an excellent job, fixing the problem and communicating well throughout.
Barnett is quite expensive, but I needed the job done urgently so I went with them. They were upfront about their charges, and Alex C provided excellent service.

We had used Barnett before to replace our water heater- about 8 years ago, maybe more- and then this weekend it started thumping and leaking.  It was pretty terrifying so we shut it down and had nothing but cold water (brrrr).  I left a message on Sunday, and figured I'd need to call them when they opened on Tuesday (Monday being a holiday) and they called me before I called them first thing on Tuesday!  A very nice person came out, gave us an estimate and did the work that day!  I am so happy.  Everyone in my family is so happy.  It wasn't cheap but it was great service.

So dig this: The former owner of my house did everything on the cheap! And that, dear yelper, includes the pipes!  Their methodology? If it's the wrong pipe just force it!

My poor piping situation was the cause of a plumbing nightmare...no sink working, no showers, just a mess.

I was familiar with Barnett plumbing as they worked for my business for years. I invited them in and the remedy was a two part job: The pipes under my sink needed to be replaced and the pipes under the house needed them as well. Not fun!

Worse yet, while the plumbing in the kitchen was easy, under the house required several hours and needed a separate time to remedy. What to do?

I am grateful for Barnett Plumbing for several reasons: First, because they did a professional job and their price point was reasonable. But also because my plumbing nightmare got moved up to a high priority. The scheduler called other clients all day to get me a next day service (Did I mention we had no showers either?).  Who does that anymore? And again, the job was not only first rate, it's warrantied!

Wanted to replace our gas water heater with a new heat pump water heater.  They provided all the information I needed to make an informed decision, and they were the lowest price and took care of all the rebates.  Within a few days, they had scheduled a technician (Alex C.) to come over for the installation.  It was estimated to be a two day job, but Alex worked late to get it done in one day!

I had an extremely positive experience throughout -- from my first phone call with Lee for a quote to Alberto coming onsite to inspect and replace our 34-year old water heater. I have an old house with old plumbing. So the thought of calling a plumber makes me anxious. I had a tub faucet that had been leaking for a while and took a stab at fixing it myself. Luckily the screw was stripped and I gave up. Had I continued I would have definitely made it worse.

My neighbor highly recommended Barnett and they were the only plumber I called. They even bumped up my appointment because they had a plumber Matt available sooner.

Matt our plumber is great. He's  wry personable and informative. He accurately diagnosed the problem and had the exact part on the truck.

They treat their employees like human beings -- not always a guarantee in this industry -- and do a fantastic job of communicating clearly with each individual worker. Been using Barnett for 20 years, since moving to Pleasanton/Dublin.  No idea how their prices compare because I'd never go anywhere else for plumbing needs.   They let you know when they are nearby and always show up on time.  All of the plumbers I've dealt with from Barnett have been courteous, professional and transparent with pricing.   Matt from Barnett did a job at our house today and he even fixed another small leak while here.  Highly recommended!

I've been using only Barnett plumbing for almost 15 years, if not longer.
I have never had a bad experience with their team. Matt came out today and took his time ensuring there wasn't an easier way to fix the problem. He spent extra time checking his work and when we determined the leak could not be fixed without further work he did a great job replacing our washer valves.
They are courteous, fair and go above and beyond to ensure their work is done well.
In addition to this with all that they have done for my home I've never had to call them back to fix anything they have done.

Today, after doing significant research, I chose this great company to install a new water heater. I've used their services 2 other times to deal with toilet issues and their service and excellent work has been spot on all 3 times.

Today Rob did the work and, besides being a great guy, he is knowledgeable, efficient, great at his job, and fast. On top of that, he was helpful (moved a couple things for me and rolled up my garden hose), explained things very well, cleaned up afterwards and generally made getting a new water heater actually a pleasant experience!

Also, kudos to the business owner, Phil. He was willing to work with me resulting in a win/win for us both. Not only did I get a very fair price, the job was started within minutes of us coming to an agreement so that his employee was utilized and I got what I needed early in the day.

The bottom line is, if you want excellent work done by a dependable company at a fair price along with peace of mind, hire Barnett Plumbing. (No, I don't work in advertising, I'm just really happy with these guys!)

Barnett is our go-to for any water related items at our home.  We had to have some home work done and Matt/Alberto did a great job diagnosing and then fixing the problem.

Though my home's water heater looked like it was brand new, and was working fine, I heard that Barnett Plumbing was able to work with the State to secure a significant rebate if I changed from the current, gas water heater to a new, high-efficiency electric heater.  This work required sending an electrician to the home to add the required electrical slot to my home's electrical system as well as sending the plumber in to remove and replace the existing heater.  The electrician came, as scheduled, and did a very neat job - he was quite flexible and was even able to come on the weekend to do the work.  The following Monday, Barnett sent plumber Collin P to my home to do the actual plumbing work.  Collin was very communicative and prompt, arriving just when he said he would.  (I should also note that, ahead of each appointment, I received very clear text communications from Barnett outlining when and who I should expect, for what job, and I could even track the representative as he made his way to my home -- these systems are often attempted to be used, but, never have I seen one function as well as this one did.)  Collin was an excellent representative of the company - knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and respectful.  He was able to answer all of my questions very clearly and didn't seem to mind that I was watching over his shoulder much of the time (which I did because I was interested, and had no knowledge, whatsoever, about the work he was doing).  After talking with him and watching him work, I feel far better versed on what happened and why.  With the new heater neatly installed, Collin took the time to help me hook up to it with my Wifi (the new heater allows you to do lots of fun things with the heater from your phone's app, including notifying you if there's any trouble/a leak) and remained very helpful until everything was up and working 100%.  I'm very pleased with the process, A-Z, and with the product and installation.  The price was excellent (I know, because I shopped the whole system before approving the Barnett's system) and Barnett processed all of the rebates for me -- I just paid the remaining costs.  I would strongly recommend this group and, particularly, Collin - I couldn't be happier with this group's work.  Thanks!

Our tankless water heater has given us reason to contact Barnett twice in 2021 - and on both occasions, they were extremely responsive and reliable. Unfortunately it is difficult to get them to come out on an emergency/same day issue, but we have never waited more than a day to get an emergency appointment. The operators/dispatchers are always available and are super helpful. My family and I trust Barnett and will definitely use them again for our plumbing needs.

Excellent service, and friendly professional techs. Our water heater died and needed to be replaced. We had a heat pump model installed, and Barnett installed a loaner unit at no cost while we waited for the electrician to make the necessary updates. They're great, we'll definitely work with them again when we need to.

Let me just say... once you call Barnett, don't bother calling anyone else!

The girl on the phone was very efficient and understanding of our horrible situation - toilets, shower, tub, kitchen sink... all backed up!  This is what nightmares are made of.

We received a text confirmation, really cool.  Then, we received another text confirmation with a photo of our Plumber and his background - way cool!

Alberto.... this guy.... AMAZING!!!!  Extremely knowledgeable!!! no B.S.!!! Experienced.   We truly got very lucky.  

Alberto assessed the problem right away, we showed him pictures and he took some on his own.  Found our Clean Out just by CALCULATING where it would be and BOOM! there it was!  (mind you we had two other companies come over the weekend and aside from their astronomical prices, neither of them bothered to try and find the Clean Out and were already talking about ripping up the front yard apart just to find the Pipe)

Alberto cleared our clog, found the clean out, replaced pipe, toilet, and various things, and of course showed us the nightmare that had been building up to this point:  
previous owners had an issue before and didn't even bother to find the clean out so they basically hammered a hole into a random section of the pipe/sewer then sealed it with concrete on an already very old iron rusted pipe, which roots and dirt got into the pipe thru this particular lovely hole... 3 feet underground!  Cause the landscaper they had on their last job completely buried the Clean Out to never be seen again...  Until Alberto!
One of our toilets, they had glued plastic connector to a rusted Iron pipe.. yeah... glue... and you know that wax seal that your toilet sits on? non existent!  All that explained the nasty leak under the house.

All in all, the services provided by Alberto and Barnett as a whole, has been nothing short of spectacular.  Reasonably priced and efficiently completed.

Huge thanks to Matt from Barnett Plumbing for correcting our water pressure issues. After listening to my explanation and asking a few questions, he diagnosed the problem as not enough pressure coming through the pipes. He zeroed in on the fix and started making adjustments.

The adjustments did the trick and now we have the optimal water pressure in all faucets and showers throughout the house. He and I did several tests to make sure the pressure did not drop when multiple faucets or showers were turned on simultaneously. Matt took his time and assured me that he wanted to make sure I was happy with the results. I can definitively say the answer is Yes!

He was kind of enough to look into a couple issues with our outdoor hose bibs and suggest how to correct the issues there.

This was a great experience and I highly recommend Matt and Barnett Plumbing.

The toilet in my guest bedroom either would not refill or it wouldn't stop running.
Matt, the technician with 22 years experience, replaced a part and adjusted the toilet so it would flush and refill properly.
He explained what he did and even showed me how to make adjustments in the future, if needed.
And I called Barnett Plumbing this morning and someone was at my house by 12:30 pm.
Matt wore a face mask and booties over his shoes. Very professional and considerate.

Was replacing a 75 g water heater with 50 g tank. As per internet, should take 4 hours, which at 200/hr should be 800 labor, tank around 800, misc other stuff I expected to pay 1800 to 2000. Final bids: independent plumber 1900, Fast (installing Home Depot tank) 4500, Barnetts 3300.

Rep was quick to come out for a quote (independent plumber did take more patience in order to get the bid) and did acknowledge they would cost a little more given that they have a full-fledged business that is responsive and can respond quickly for follow-ups. That being said, he first suggested we could buy a tank and exchange it for a hybrid next year when rebates became available, then retracted the offer, saying that program had ended. Then he contradicted himself a few times during the quote process (the leak could be handled in a few weeks, but later he said should be handled in a few hours; the standard tank replacement should be $2500, which became $3300 when he produced the written quote because it would require some work getting it down a 4 inch stair; if we went hybrid, it would save 50%, which became 80% later in the conversation, none of which comports with what I've read about hybrid tanks).

I'm not sure why installing a tank isn't just cost of the tank, materials and 4 hours worth of work when there is nothing complicated at hand. Hopefully mine was an isolated experience.

Edit: After I got a replacement from another company. Barton called me back to apologize. On the weekend, they have an answering service that books appointments for them. The person on the other end of the phone was not an official Barton employee, and had no idea about any kind of figures to quote, nor could they even ask someone on the weekend.  That being said, they just kept reading from a script and didn't represent themselves properly.
An apology goes a long way. They wanted to make it right. So I am retracting my one star. I'm giving them 4. For maybe hiring a bad phone service.

Wouldn't offer a quote. Wouldn't even entertain the idea of a ball park figure. Said they would arrive with a water heater already bought and paid for, without telling me what kind, or how much it would cost me. I would have to wait two days to pay them to show up so that I could have the privilege of a quote. Hung up on me when I suggested that was no better than extortion.

I'm so sorry to say after 14 years of great service I have gone to another plumber (in Livermore, also with 5 stars) due to 1) the much higher prices (most recently Barnett Plumbing was $155 more than competitor and phone person would not adhere by price we were given by Barnett technician who had been out very recently - he stated could not give me the reason for the price increase, which was still $100 more than quotes I got elsewhere) ? 2) Also, a few months ago we had called regarding an issue and it was scheduled a week and a half out. (?) Then, we received multiple calls in the meantime that a tech was available...

They didn't used to make people wait a week and half, and then call in between seemingly more important customers, which makes a customer (such as myself). feel lesser than on the customer totem pole.

In summery, feeling like our family and 14 years of business just don't seem to matter with a (possibly) new phone person the last 2 times we called over a 5 month period. Issues both times, although he was a very pleasant fellow, it was not customer service first.

I will say the Barnett Plumbing crews and the owner himself have always been wonderful so I am certainly gonna miss them. I did trust them to do the work and be in my home. In these challenging financial times I will have to go with the substantially lower priced but also 5 star review company and also like that they booked me in less than a week and a half. It's as if my plumbing issue mattered to the other company and was a sense of urgency. Makes a customer feel cared for and not just a number. Did not feel like just a number for the first 14 years with Barnett, just the last 6 months with new phone person and set up.

I sincerely wish Barnett Plumbing the best and if they can drop their much-higher prices to match (or at least come close) to other local plumbers prices (who also have fantastic reviews) I would consider coming back + so would my neighbors.

I needed a gas shutoff valve installed for our dryer, so I gave Barnett Plumbing a call and got an appointment with Matt. Matt was very professional and knowledgeable, and he explained what steps he was taking so I could respond appropriately in the event of a gas leak. Super fun guy to talk to and learn from. I really appreciated that as I am learning more about the new home. I will definitely be calling Barnett Plumbing for future inquiries. Thanks Matt!
