Best Bathroom Remodels in Phoenix, AZ
We remodeled 3 bathrooms (this was our first remodel) and were very nervous about the process. We interviewed 5 contractors and Danny's quote was by far the most detailed. He and his crew of wonderful guys worked 6 days a week arriving at 7 every morning. They did their best to make us feel comfortable while they worked and made sure to clean up each day. Their work is exceptional and we are thrilled with the results. If you want someone who is easy to communicate with, okay with last minute changes :), highly skilled, and punctual....Danny is your guy!!

We needed our master bathroom shower remodeled to accommodate a wheelchair user. After hearing about all the problems people encountered on bad jobs we were paranoid about choosing a contractor. We decided to go with Independence because they specialized in handicapped remodeling. We met with Mike to go over our project, got a quote, and set a start date. His crew arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. When a few project hitches came up (which they almost always do) they were resolved to our complete satisfaction.
Independence charged a fair price, honored their quote, started on time, did an excellent job, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. What more could a customer ask for? I would recommend them without hesitation.

Golden Bear Contracting was a real life saver. Installed a sink in the kitchen that was otherwise not going to fit and I'd have to return. But I loved my new sink so I was determined to make it fit. He did a great job!

I hired them to add a closet to a room in my house. They had to deal with framing, drywall, baseboards, paint, electrical & flooring. It came out great, looks like it's part of the original house. I would use them again.

first time using them - when I moved in 3 years ago I actually got a letter stating that they'd done work on our house before so keep them in mind if anything goes wrong. Well it finally did and they were not only able to get me in before noon to fix a main line back up back up, when a cancellation came in they called me up right away and offered to come sooner if I was home. Done in 30 minutes, everyone was nice and professional, and if it happens again in 7 days they'll come back out for free. Could't be happier.

Outstanding communication and even better people! It's been a pleasure to meet Martin and Calvary Tile & Stone will be my first and only contact when we need any construction, electrical, and/or any other help!

I found G's Hone Services on Yelp, requested a quote, he got back to me within 20mins of my request & quoted me a fair price. I hired him for the job & he nailed it. Great service, great work, I highly recommend.

Michael's customer service is first class. I requested an estimate and received a prompt response and follow-up visit later that day. His pricing is very reasonable.
He arrived early to start the job and didn't leave until the work was perfect and met our satisfaction.
If you're looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and reasonably priced handyman; give him a call.

Ken Armstrong of Armstrong Innovations: FRAUD ALERT for custom kitchen and bathroom remodel. The old common contractor practice of fraud is alive and well, and I found it in Anthem, AZ. He's an underskilled laborer who took our money and hired another equally unskilled subcontractor, and together, they ruined all 3 of our expensive countertops. Ken's highly distracted and disorganized, and has enormous difficulty staying on any task, so he didn't, with us. He instead started something else, and never quite finished anything he started, but he had no problem asking for lots more money for his shoddy workmanship while overcharging by thousands. He kept and hid the receipts to himself, despite more than one request for them, leading to suspicion about his questionable business practices, since he already lied to us about his availability and about showing up for work, and he had covered the damaged wood he installed in our home with blue tape over it. He called this custom design. We would soon discover that we had legitimate reason to confirm our suspicion was true, and to fire him, to prevent further financial loss. It's no big deal not to show up for work, he said, with a childish, unprofessional excuse, representing the best of what I saw of his business acumen. He's excessively arrogant about what he does badly, and he did it all badly. From the brown water discharge from my new plumbing he installed, to the white tile he poorly grouted and failed to correct, to the stone flooring he discolored with his dirty sealant, to the damaged and scarred wood he installed, to the pocket door he hung wrong per installation instructions he didn't read, to the countertop fiasco with no one using published installation instructions, resulting in uneven and unlevel and unusable surfaces, and to all other numerous issues he created for himself, he blamed his blatant installation errors on everything else BUT himself, offering faulty logic for his costly shortcomings, never admitting he grossly misrepresented his capabilities, and himself as a reputable businessman. He walked off our job during his subcontractor's countertop installation, so he could bid on another project. I watched as no level and no measuring tape was used, resulting in a sloppy countertop I can't use because of gross height and leveling deficiencies. That's just crazy, he said, when I inquired about his need to measure the range for its custom height requirements in preparation for the countertop installation. Putting countertops on before putting cabinet doors on was one of his very bad judgments. Trust me, he said about his countertop subcontractor, whose last name and business card he withheld from us when asked, so that we could follow up with our Silestone 15 year warranty that we will never see that he failed to produce for us after we paid for the material and the installation. While he was hired to work with us, he was evasive and unavailable. He offered us whatever we asked for in our custom design, then told us he had lots of experience with it, then left us completely inconvenienced with poor attendance, poor quality work, and failing to honor his word of being available to us for his assistance with our custom project. He offered to spend some of his contracted time picking up and delivering our tub, toilets, and larger purchases for us, but, he left us to do it for ourselves. He said that he would help us with design ideas and specific material selections for our custom design, but didn't, then rudely blamed us for delaying him, leaving us hanging and causing us further delays, such that we had to ask for the face to face meeting with him in writing, that he refused. He refused to guarantee his work, and then insulted us before asking us for 4500 more dollars the next day. He made excuses for the 3940.00 problem he created with the countertops, then walked away from the project. Completely abandoned with no contact for over two weeks, he left us with poor workmanship and leaky plumbing and no cabinet doors. He cashed our 5000 dollar check without depositing any of it. When is Ken coming back from vacation? asked one of his subcontractors, during the time period he was given to fix the identified errors in our home, while time ticked away towards his given deadline. His lack of integrity and ability to follow through with his approaching deadlines describe his style. You deserve to know in advance that he doesn't make his own cabinet doors, but he never told us that until just before he abandoned the project, when we confronted him about his poor quality work and asked for that face to face meeting that he refused. This dog is not worth the filing fee to take to court, but I'd love to show a jury the pictures and video of what he thinks is good work. Underskilled, unethical, and blatantly dishonest is what we experienced. Countertop subcontractor works for business whose license is suspended by ROC.

My wife and I are so happy with our recent kitchen remodel with 2nd avenue design! A friend of ours recommended 2nd avenue to us after they remodeled their kitchen (custom cabinets, quartz countertops). We weren't sure what we could afford since we had a modest budget, but Mike came out and discussed the possibilities of our kitchen design. He followed up with drawings and several budget options. I never thought I'd be so excited by drawings, but they helped us to help visualize what the kitchen could be before the work even started. We worked with him on the design, and soon after his crew got started. They communicated well on what to expect, stayed on schedule, and the work is beautiful! His crew has such a high attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship. I felt like he treated the job like his own kitchen.
I get so many compliments on my kitchen now, and continue to recommend 2nd avenue design - thank you so much for my amazing kitchen!

We've hired Derek for multiple projects in the last two years - ceiling retexturing and finish from water damage 10/18, resurfacing of ceiling/wall and flooring replacement 7/20, full shower remodel 8/20. All his teams were very professional, polite and mindful of our pets not getting loose. Derek is a pleasure to work with and very competitive with his pricing. We're very happy with the quality of the work and the timeliness of the completion. We'll definitely be hiring him again in the future when we're ready for our next project.

This handyman company is awesome. The showmanship and quality of repairs are well deserved. Thanks to Yelp I was able to find Jeremy and his crew so its only fair I attest to the amazing quality and service I was provided in my home near Scottsdale, Arizona. The drywall, tile and paint is how I started this remodel but ended up ( as all remodels and upgrades do) way more intricate than expected. All I can say is thank goodness for Yelp and Jeremy The Handyman, his wife and crew because they changed my life for the better. Our family is proud to be a loyal customer for life.

I just wrapped up my 3rd job with JM Contracting and we couldn't be happier!!! The first job Josh (owner) did for me was our back patio roof. We discussed a drainage issue and out of all of the other bids I obtained and telling them all the same issue, Josh was the ONLY one that suggested we get an architect/engineer to address the problem. He naturally got my bid! Josh got on top of the drainage issue and once the engineer/architect (Quincy) did his calculations, pictures, etc. we came up with a solution. Josh was able to do the entire job, also addressing an issue with my sagging roof that was putting all its weight on my french door lintels which required shoring it up and stabilizing it, he stayed just outside of our original budget.
We have had NO problems with drainage since and that has saved my master bedroom floor!
Josh remodeled my master bathroom and my father's bathroom within the past 4 months as well. The outcome is stellar!!! Our bathrooms now look like they came right off of HGTV! No kidding! I highly recommend JM Contracting for all your contracting jobs. Josh is great to work with, his team (including his subs) are spot on too. Josh oversees everything and he is a total prefectionist...a keen eye for detail and making sure it looks 110% perfect! Thanks Josh for such great work! We will be using him for our next remodel of our kitchen and our pool decking too!

TWD will get the job done. Your satisfaction is NOT guaranteed. Their loyalty lies with their company first, not you, the customer. Buyer beware. My wife and I paid them $24,000 for a stucco job. We had the entire house transformed from siding to stucco. The project took the better part of a month. For their part, TWD showed up every day and worked the project from start to completion. You'll find our grievances below.
First, we paid them $12,000 to start the work. The job was just underway when we got a letter from an attorney letting us know they would be putting a lean on our house immediately following the completion of the project if our final payment was late for any reason. This was quite a shock. We have worked with numerous contractors in the past for larger sums of money and never experienced anything like this. We called to get clarification on why this letter was sent to us. We were assured this was just a formality, but later came to believe it is a scare tactic TWD uses to ensure they get paid quickly so they can duck out the back door if necessary. This is what we feel happened at the tail end of our project.
Secondly, the clean-up crew, if you can call it that, left a mess. They did a very poor job. Our front and back yard were left a wreck. Even the project manager admitted they did a bad job when he arrived to collect payment. He offered to send guys back out, but we declined and cleaned it up ourselves to get it done right.
Thirdly, when it came time to paint our house TWD left us in the dark and did not provide us with any guidance or color samples. We were told by the project manager to just go down to Sherwin Williams and pick out two colors. We were very uncomfortable doing this, but did so hoping for the best. After the house was painted my wife and I wound up very unhappy with the colors. We mentioned this prior to clean up and the final inspection of the project. We asked if they would be willing to repaint. We even agreed to pay for materials and labor to get it done. We were given the impression they were going to do whatever it took to make it right. Then the next day we were essentially rushed out the door. The next morning the clean-up crew arrived and we were told they would swing by to collect final payment later that day. After handing over the final check we asked about repainting and were told they would get back to us in a few days. They didn't. When we followed up they quoted us $7100! We told them there was no way this was a realistic number since the house was prepped, primed, and painted by one man in a single day and this was a third of what our entire month long stucco project cost. So they came back with $4335. This still seemed too high. I priced the job myself and found I could do it for under $1500. I called and got quotes from other contractors for $2000. When I approached them with this information and asked if they could come in closer to this cost I was told no. They told me, and I quote, We believe the product turned out great. We apologize the paint colors weren't what you were hoping they'd be. So I guess if they're happy with the job when it's finished, but you're not, you're SOL. You should be very wary of this if you plan on hiring them.
Ultimately, we did not feel like valued customers. We can't help but think TWD could have tried harder to make it right. We have a hard time believing another company wouldn't have repainted our house at or around cost after what we had spent on the entire project. As a company they could easily have written off any claimed lost profits as if it were a stand-alone job. Alternatively, they could have put us in touch with a sub-contractor willing to do the job for less. There were solutions. We could have all walked away happy. In the end, the company was more concerned with moving onto their next project and less concerned with finishing our project to our satisfaction.
For these reasons, we cannot endorse or recommend TWD.
