Chris came out to our condo in Scottsdale to pull carpet up and route our Cox cable to other side of living room. Chris is a really nice guy and did the job perfectly, taking before and after shots documenting that all looked just like before he started.  Even the Cox cable tech who was over coincidentally at the same time commented how Chris did the job the right way, trimming the pad alongside tack strip so there was no evidence of cable under carpet.  Great job!

My mother, Helen Arnhold, recently had a slab leak and Rocky Mountain handled the restoration. She said they did a wonderful job, were polite and professional, and she was very pleased.

We noticed mold in our garage. Called Darryl, who was prompt at responding by phone or text. He explained that the mold was because our roof was leaking, which further inspection from a roofing company proved him correct. He also explained that our house was custom made and required special materials. We got the lab results and an estimate in a timely manner. Unfortunately, when we contacted the insurance company, they sent out a different mold company for the repairs, so this comment is not evaluating his repair work. However, the company we got from the insurance has proven to be very lacking in communication from the start and borderline incompetent, not even realizing the special circumstances around our custom made house until they started tearing things apart, even though Darryl noticed within ten minutes of getting here. So comparing two mold companies back to back, I can say Moldex is way superior, and wish the insurance company had chosen him.

Restoration HQ did a fantastic job. Alexcis was great, she worked with me to schedule and re-schedule several times and made sure they could come at a time that was convenient for us. Ricardo showed up early, was super nice, and did fantastic quality work. I would recomend Restoration HQ to anyone in need of drywall repair or damage restoration of any kind.

So I am absolutely terrible about remembering to write these, but I really wanted to make sure I wrote one for Shane.  I utilized his services earlier this year for some new window screens and a quote on a new patio screen door, and I could not have been more pleased.  I've done a lot of renos to my place, so I've dealt with a fair share of people, and he absolutely stood out to me.  When I saw Veteran Owned, I definitely at least wanted to get a quote, but as soon as I met him, I just had a really good feeling about him.  He looked over everything I wanted done, and even said he'd be able to tune up my sliding glass patio door (which I thought I was going to have to go with yet another company for)!  I gave him all of my concerns, and he had an answer for every single one.  He even said to me 'I could tell you you need this and that, but you don't.  You don't need new unless you really want them.'  That floored me; you rarely ever get that kind of honesty!  I think I had one more quote that I was getting, but when he left, I just knew that I was gonna go with him.  And I could not be happier with the work he did.  He put new screens on my window, new screen in my screen door & tuned it up (rather than talking me into a brand new one!), and tuned up my patio door as well, and all for an absolutely reasonable price.  

He works hard, he communicates, he's honest & polite; if you don't call him for at least a quote, you're missing out on an opportunity to work with and support a great business.

Also, for sure gave his information to a friend when she needed some repairs, and to my mom when her patio screen door was damaged.  And I will continue to refer him to anyone I can!

Had a slow leak hiding in the back of our kitchen cabinet that caused some nasty mold across the kitchen and bathrooms.
Josh replied to my weekend yelp message with helpful info and eased the initial scare of hurry up n get out of the house.
We had other companies come out. The other we considered came in lower but a. I didn't get such a great vibe & b. They wanted to rip out parts of my bathrooms that were nowhere near the mold! I chose Josh, insurance didn't cover, he had his crew work small areas at a time to try to minimize and damage and save me money.
His crew was nice respectful, careful and meticulous!
I hope I never need his services again and kinda hope no one does, but if it should happen that water damage comes up he's got my referral no questions!

I am so grateful to John from Surv pro.  I woke at 4 am to a flood in my laundry room, garage, breakfast room and part of my dinning room.  I called at 4 am and John was at my house by 5;15 AM vacuuming up the water from a burst hot water heater. John was professional and quick. he returned    to check on the drying fans  for 2 days after.  I would recommend 'JOHN  for any water, restoration problems in the west Valley.  Excellent customer service.

Great work, Aaron is a very reliable gentleman. His work is very efficient and he gets things done in a timely manner.

Ron was on time, professional and did a very good job. All the naughty things my two dogs did have disappeared! As well as all the fur due to summer shedding. I would definitely try to get his service again and recommend to others.

Ed and his team did an amazing job with removing the overgrown branches of my neighbors tree over my pool as well as grind the stump of an 80 ft pine tree we had removed.  He also removed a branch from the neighbors tree that was hanging over my flat roof garage.  As his team was working, multiple neighbors came out and hired them to do work on there trees as well.  I couldn't be more pleased and will use them in the future and recommend them highly!

The most honest owners who do great work. We know many who have used them and when I tried to use them...they gave me the best advice and told me they weren't needed and didn't charge me a thing. You can't consider any other company...I would recommend them wholeheartedly

I cannot recommend Aftermath Services enough.  Save yourself some time and heartache and hire them!  

My mother passed away in her home and wasn't found for several days.  It was unexpected and quite tragic and when I got the news, I didn't know what to do.  
Aftermath was called in after I had hired another company who didn't do the whole job and I was stuck trying to figure out what to do.

I had actually tried to do the job myself.  I knew I had to get rid of all porous materials so I had a dumpster delivered.  After spending only 15 minutes in the house wearing a paper suit, N95 mask and booties to cover my shoes, I knew I couldn't do this alone.  I called Aftermath and they came out the very next day to evaluate the situation and started work the next day.  They removed a large portion of biohazard material that the other company had completely missed, brought in a huge ozone machine to run the entire time that they worked in the home and helped empty the home of all porous materials.  At one time they had 4 people working and at the end I was provided all documentation, lists of things that were thrown away, shown where the biohazard material was removed, and even shown time cards to see who was in the home and how long everyone worked.  I'm a little less stressed now, there is still work to be done, but their job is finished and I couldn't be happier with the results.
A sudden death of a family member is an incredibly tragic experience and Aftermath Services helped me so much.  Additionally, they worked with my mom's homeowner insurance company so none of this cost me out of pocket (except for the dumpster which I didn't know that they would have provided).

Tim with Master of Disaster was excellent to work with. I had him remodel our master bathroom and it turned out better than I could have imagined. I felt comfortable from start to finish with his knowledge and ability. He even gave us an idea to move the entrance to the closet so that we could extend our shower. I am so thankful!

Our home was water damaged by a break in a fire sprinkler pipe. This led to us selecting Kowalski Construction Inc to do the mitigation, contents moving and storage, and the restoration of our home. Although my wife and I interacted with were polite staff and listened to our concerns, we experienced a terrible experience with Kowalski Construction Inc. In particular, we wish to commend Greg, Ron, Alfred, and Robert who were diligent and picked up the pieces after the fact.

The work done demonstrated incompetence, lack of attention to detail, and poor oversight and management of the project. Communications and hand-off between mitigation team, restoration team, packing team, and the billing group was totally lacking contributing to the mess that our home restoration project became. It is because of this that we feel Kowalski Construction service was ultimately substandard. My wife had to function as the de facto project manager in all aspects of the job because Jeramy was regularly absent from the site or nonresponsive.
I list a series of examples of the shoddy workmanship, lack of oversight and incomprehensible billing process.
1. Initial painting of the house was performed by inexperienced painters who had to be instructed by my wife about a simple as taking off light switch plates and not paint over screws that would make it extremely difficult to remove in the future if necessary.
2. Baseboards were installed in an erratic manner so they were not aligned and at different heights from the floor throughout the house. This required them being removed and reinstalled.
3.  Marble floor tiles, broken in the process of the dishwasher installation, were replaced by untrained individuals. This necessitated my wife finding a qualified floor tile expert for the third attempt.
4. A piece of granite counter was removed from one cabinet in the kitchen during the tear out and placed with the broken granite from the laundry room and severely damaged spare bathroom into the garage. This granite counter was intact and we were assured that because no granite in the kitchen was broken during tear out so we would be able to preserve the kitchen granite in toto. About 2 weeks before we moved back into our home i.e. ~4 months later, when my wife asked where this piece was, it discovered that the perfectly good piece of granite was removed to be discarded by Kowalski staff along with the damaged granite when my wife asked where this piece was. This resulted in purchasing a new set of slabs for the subsequent tear out and replacement of all the kitchen granite 1 month after we moved back into our home.
5. When the tear out was underway we went with Greg to Lowe's on June 28, 2018 to select hardware replacement including 2 vent fans for the bathroom and laundry room. These vent fans that were sitting at Kowalski Construction facilities were not installed before the new dry wall was put into the bathroom and laundry room. It necessitated cutting into the dry wall and inserting the vents from the ceiling above after the fact about 5 months after the vent purchase.
6. When putting in the vents Ron discovered that insulation was not put back into the space between the ceiling and roof as was required and billed for. This necessitated the last minute rental of a blower and blowing insulation in above the laundry room and bathroom when the cleaning crew had already started to clean the house for the pack back.
7. During the pack back it was discovered that the feet to our living room couch had gone missing. No one at Kowalski could find them in the storage facility.
8. A handmade occasional table that was stored by Kowalski had one leg broken off in the storage/moving process. Instead of getting it fixed, someone at Kowalski put some screws into the leg and table in an unsuccessful attempt to secure it. Then a Kowalski mover had the nerve to tell us to be careful with the table because a leg was loose.
9. Jeramy, who was responsible for overseeing this job, did not come to our house from early December 2018 until the completion of the job. How he could oversee anything is beyond my understanding.
10. The billing process Kowalski uses is opaque to the customer. An invoice for over $39,000 was issued to me for a supplemental contract. What this supplemental contract was supplemental to, was not clear. What charges were included in this supplemental contract were totally lacking. The billing staff was unable to tell me what this was for when I called.

These points are described because I considered them major and resulted in redoes, last minute fixes that resulted in carryovers beyond when we moved back, and demonstrated lack of consideration for customers. I cannot recommend Kowalski Construction for any restoration project, and recommend that people avoid dealings with Kowalski Construction on any residential projects.
