Big Blue Plumbing came by on a Saturday to replace my garbage disposal and potentially clear up a clogged kitchen sink.  From the initial phone conversation until the very end of the service the company was incredibly professional and courteous.  They came to my apartment and were in and out in less than an hour.  The last plumber (different company) who worked in my kitchen left it a complete mess, but Big Blue did a great job keeping everything in order and clean - they even soaped my sink (which let's just say was not in the best of conditions).  All in all, I had a great experience with this company and would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a plumbing company.  I've been on Yelp for years now, and this is my first review (yes, they were that great)!

We needed our toilet replaced quickly following a klutzy accident that left part of our toilet rim cracked off, causing water to leak out with each toilet flush. My husband and I called at least 5 other companies, none of whom could fit us into their schedules for the next couple days. Then we called J&B's Plumbing - My husband called at 1:43pm and got a call back from Jerry 3 minutes later. He was super accommodating and moved us up in their call list due to our urgent situation. One of his employees (Brian I believe) showed up to the house quickly, assessed the situation, dismantled the broke throne, went out and purchased a new toilet, returned with a coworker and installed the new toilet quickly. The whole process beginning to end was under 3 hours (from 1:43pm to 4:25pm)! Amazing service! Brian was pleasant and professional throughout. Both of the men who were here were great workers, cleaned up after themselves (!!!) and we're very happy with the service we received. Price quote was upfront and reasonable, and nothing changed from the original quote my husband received from the first call. We paid by check but they were able to accommodate cash/card/check.

Angel replaced the water meter in my basement. He came on time, gave an estimate during the first visit, showed up on time for the next appointment to replace the water meter, pulled the permit in a timely manner for inspection. He is very professional and offers reasonable/competitive pricing. He also wore a mask all the time and offered free advice on the maintenance of my water heater. I will definitely hire him again and will recommend him to my friends.

I connected with Mehran on Yelp and exchanged messages with him over a few days while I checked out all my options for a water heater repair project. I really appreciated his responsiveness and willingness to adjust pricing, accommodate arrive window times, and answer my technical questions. Mehran's workmanship guarantee was among the best I saw. Ultimately, I was constrained by which companies could complete the work and was not able to contract with Bob and Kur. Even when I informed him that I wasn't able to continue with the company, he professionally responded with good platitudes. The five stars reflect my experience with Mehran during the research phase as I reached out to several providers via Yelp, and the hassle-free, respectable conversations. I felt his best offer was very reasonable and reflects the budget-friendly description on the Bob and Kur Plumbing listing on Yelp.

Jacob is great to work with, responsive and knowledgeable.  I had an issue with my water company saying they never received my backflow test results, and Jacob knew exactly what to do and save me from being double billed.  I'd recommend him without hesitation!

Highly recommend Paul, he is very knowledgeable and doesn't cut corners, he did an excellent job installing a Water Softener and running a new drain line because the one that was previously installed was incorrect, he used quality parts and completed the job at a great price. We LOVE you guys!!!  Our family has relied on Mitch and Tommy (and Jodi!) for at least 15 years now.  They are unbelievably responsive, honest, and do amazing work.  And such lovely people.  Mitch once spent hours and hours at our house in the middle of a MAJOR blizzard, right before Christmas, as our failing burner began spewing carbon monoxide.  He dealt with the gas company, the shutdown, and all the other attendant issues while I scrambled to find temporary housing.  He miraculously managed to find us a brand new furnace that arrived within days.  (Just try to get a burner installed over the holidays when the region is at a standstill due to feet of snow!).  We moved back home Christmas eve, barely missed a beat, and our young children had the holiday they had expected.  Years later, still grateful.

My dad used to say that one of the most valuable things as a homeowner is having a great plumber.  Well, we do, and would recommend Consolidated to anyone in the Metrowest area.

$342.00 to change one washer in the hot water knob of my tub to stop a leaky faucet. Way over priced for the work. Part is about .50 cents. Not happy. Feel like I've been taken advantage of. Only good thing is leak is stopped.

I have used Joseph Barrell for 14 years.  (pronounced Bar-Rell) and only because finding a good honest plumber who doesn't charge an arm and a leg is so difficult.  Barrell's has a very mixed group of workers, some nice and efficient, others useless and inexperienced, but one thing always holds true, whatever the job past changing a washer, they will have to go back to the office to get a part.  Even when you make it clear exactly what the job is, they never carry anything to do the job: you pay for them to travel back and forth.  I have had them work on three properties and it's always the same.  They are very trustworthy and I would let them (and have in fact) have a key, but seriously they are extremely expensive.  They are better/cheaper than Winters but that's the best I can say.
About 12 years ago I paid for 3 hours of labor for a high tank toilet the 22 year old couldn't fix.  Then about 4 years ago again I got a very inexperienced guy to fix a radiator.  He did but didn't check the new valve and it began flooding my kitchen.  When I phoned I was asked, after I explained, if this was really an emergency and the woman was very rude.  I said look ask him to come back there's a waterfall!  I have hundred's of dollars of repair to be done for that mess.
Reasonable question is, why do I hire them?  Because when they are willing to do a job (which they aren't always) they usually manage to get it right, they show up when they say they will and even though they play this going back to the office surcharge game, they charge what they say they will.
Sad that it's hard to find better.

Meant to update sooner...My sister contacted Foster Plumbing and received service the following day. Not only did they call and remind her, but presented on the date and time agreed upon and their quote was FAR LESS than Tacker Plumbing. She's had no issues with her new water heater.

It's been over a year, but it was a nightmare hiring this company. I hired them to fix a piece if fascia (gutter board) that had come undone from my roof line. They just hammered it back in, bending aluminum all along the fascia. A month later I had to hire a company to fix their job. They also attempted A plumbing job which I was charged over a thousand fir bThey cut holes in the tile, new commode and then left. This was after they no showed me on the job several times. Guess what??   I still had the blockage and had to call a different contractor.  Worst experience ever

This company is a big scam. I should not have trusted Jeffrey Muncey and the owner. I paid for a project that was not completed.

Jeff  Muncey locked my property and ran away with the keys without completing the project. I had to buy a new lock and pay a locksmith for a new installation.  I paid upfront $750 to Valley View Handyman Services for nothing. They are not responding to phone calls or texts. This was a total nightmare but I'll make sure that justice will be served.

I have more details but hope this summary warns others so they can avoid similar cons.
