Long overdue review! TL;DR: Highly recommended, detail oriented and  professional plumber.
Our water heater died right before Thanksgiving 2020, and Angel from Dynamic swooped in to save the day. I still had some years left on my warranty for the tank, and he was able to apply that discount to the new tank, and walked me through the process. The hookup to the tank was also in a bad state of repair, and the valve to shut off water and surrounding pipes were corroded. He recommended a quick replacement, and we were up and running in no time.
He was super courteous, easy to work with, and safety oriented. It was great that he worked to save me money on the tank when I was in a tight spot with a holiday looming.

Dynamic Plumbing was a pleasure to work with. Not only were they knowledgeable of the Cambridge area (and departments to work with), they also were great communicators staying on top of a challenging project (our building needed to replace the main shutoff valve and therefore lots of coordination between unit owners, the city, etc. was needed.) Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a transparent and effective plumber.

My landlord hires Angel and his team to work on our apartment and we have the greatest trust in him! He's deeply professional, does high quality work, and takes the time to explain what he's doing and why.

Swift and professional service. Angel has a full set of plumbing tools and he quickly changed the kitchen faucet and several valves for us. The quality of his work is superb. My sink stopped working over the weekend and Angel was the only one who responded to my call, and I'm happy he did. He was excellent: responsive, knowledgeable, and reliable. Fixed the issue and even came back to make sure everything was working and to spruce up the sink (gave me a free faucet hole cover and siliconed). His prices are also very fair... he was nice enough to give a discount even though it was a weekend job. Highly recommend... you'll be in good hands!

Perfectionist professional, detail-oriented and conscientious. Great customer service. Responsive and helpful. Always wore a new surgical face mask, fitted properly, during the whole time indoors. He understood that I had to keep the windows open and no A/C on for coronavirus-precautions and kept working diligently despite the summer humidity and heat. Brought his own booties (new ones) each time to keep the house clean.

This one might be basic but it's important and hard to find sometimes - Angel worked efficiently and respected my home so that nothing was dirty or damaged when he was done working in the work area. I've had other horrible people work in my home before and they'll ding or scratch other stuff while they're working and never clean up the work area when they're done too.

Details: I had major plumbing work done by Angel in my house. Over a holiday weekend, I had a leaky supply pipe in the bathroom that caused a ton of damage and needed extensive work. Angel was texting with me within the hour of my requesting service (through his website first) to assess the situation and recommended an emergency repair (that I could do while I waited for him to show up on the next business day) so that we could stop the water leak ASAP without having to lose running water in the entire house. Then he took care of the necessary pipework as well as the repairs and completed the job in as few trips as possible (i.e., minimal water shutoff - which is important. Imagine living without running water for anything longer than a day. I can't, first-world problems.) Angel was willing to come at the end of the day so that we could have most of the day with running water and then it would be shutoff to let the pipe glue cure overnight. So much easier on us and considerate of Angel to do that, instead of scheduling us at his convenience like other plumbers might do.

In case you'd like to know, the entire process needed some new piping, toilet removal and reattachment, vanity removal and a new installation, as well as all new hardware that would accompany these fixtures. (I also needed wall repair and countertop work, for which Angel recommended other professionals and I was very pleased with their work too.)

Additionally, unrelated to the problem, I had a faulty kitchen faucet that wouldn't dispense hot water like it used to, and Angel easily diagnosed the issue and replaced it with a new one. Similarly, I had a faulty drain assembly that was slowing down the water in another bathroom sink and Angel took care of that in a few minutes too.

Lumped all that work with reasonable rates. Very happy with my experience overall. Highly recommend!

Angel saved our lives today. We just moved to Charlestown and, not knowing anyone in the area, got the name of Dynamic Plumbing from a previous owner. From the onset, the communication with Angel was fantastic. During the installation, we encountered several problems as the kitchen was custom-designed poorly. However Angel explained all our options to get the situation resolved effectively. Angel ended up waiting in his truck while I ran out to Home Depot to get a piece (and did not charge extra for the time!). He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Angel is amazing. Our hot water heater started leaking and affecting below floors, and he juggled some work to be able to help us. His work is very professional, precise, and clean. I definitely would like to work with him in other projects in the future.

Needed to replace my water heater on a Sunday, and Angel came and replaced it that day. He also replaced some of the pipes, and put the water heater up on some cinder blocks so it wasn't directly on the floor. Very thorough and comprehensive work.

Angel came to the rescue and replaced our failed water heater in less than 24hrs. Quality of work was excellent and price was fair. Angel replaced the water meter in my basement. He came on time, gave an estimate during the first visit, showed up on time for the next appointment to replace the water meter, pulled the permit in a timely manner for inspection. He is very professional and offers reasonable/competitive pricing. He also wore a mask all the time and offered free advice on the maintenance of my water heater. I will definitely hire him again and will recommend him to my friends.

Angel provides excellent service from the beginning to the end and beyond.

My water heater stopped working in the winter and I noticed a leak in it so I needed the service right away. I contacted Angel and he showed up within an hour to inspect the problem.
The heater was out of warranty and needed to be replaced so he took care of the whole thing the same day for a fair price. Btw our condo is on the third floor and the heater was in a very tight spot so it was not an easy job.

Moreover, he went above and beyond to make small plumbing fixes in our house with no extra charge.

Finally, he also noticed a faint leak coming from the roof where our furnace vents were and sent his friend roofer to fix it for us the very next day!

I'd say he's the best in the area and believe me I've looked around.

Responsive to inquiry and came in timely. We had a water dripping faucet but turned out the pipe had a problem. He replaced the pipes and faucets quickly. The best thing was he explained the problems again and again until we really understand what was the issue and how to solve it.

Angel came to the rescue with a leaking disposal. Would absolutely recommend his company! He was great/flexible at scheduling, arriving in hours of the first call. He is really good at communication, responding to texts quickly and in person describing exactly what is going on. Above all he was very thoughtful about how to approach the job. Not only did he replace the mount for the dishwasher, but he secured water lines, tidied up hoses, and bundled the cords too, so the undersink space was much better than it was at the start of the job.

This was not a simple job, he came back to finish the it when the sink fell out (the original countertop installers only bothered to put in two mounting clips on this big sink, yikes), and he recommended a good professional who came out to fix it on a Saturday.

If I could give him 0 stars, I would have but there was no option.
Had problem with my shower valve going around in circles without shutting off.
Called this company because I read so many positive reviews.
Right off the bat, just by looking at the picture that I had sent him over the phone, he said that he will have to cut the back wall to access the shower because it's too old to replace. ( house was made brand new 2007 )

Angel has helped us on multiple occasions now. He returns calls promptly and has been able to make time in his schedule to come very quickly. Our sewer pump broke and he went to Worcester (we live in Boston) to pick one up and came first thing the next morning (on a Saturday) to install it. He's a nice guy and a straight shooter. Definitely the only plumber I'll ever use!

I've had several dealings with Dynamic and Angel, and I do not trust them or their work at all. The first time I called for a leak in my washing machine, Angel told me it was a lost cause, that I needed to replace it, which would necessitate me redesigning my entire kitchen. Come to find out, the leak was only due to cracks in the hose, which I spotted when he and his assistant pulled out the washer. When I pointed it out, his assistant exclaimed, Plumbing 101! Um yeah. Dynamic managed to drag out this work by saying that they needed to check with the warehouse for parts. They wanted to come back to make another house call (which I am sure I would have been billed for) because they didn't trust me to read the serial number off the machine; I wound up texting them the picture. What should have been a quick fix went on for about two weeks, during which I couldn't use my washer. I paid about $700 for this experience.

On top of treating me as if I were brainless, Angel has made misogynistic comments to me, such as suggesting I bring him a beer while he was working.

I don't trust their estimates; I've found them to be a good $200 more expensive than comparable companies. Dynamic is the used car salesmen of plumbers in the Somerville area.

Angel came out on New Years Day, was extremely thoughtful and helpful, and proactively followed up with us first thing the following morning. I highly recommend Dynamic Plumbing.

Angel was a lifesaver getting in quickly and replacing our failed hot water heater. He is obviously very dedicated to his work because he had an injury (from a previous job location) and was insistent on finishing up the job before getting himself taken care of. Hope he's all better! I'll definitely be calling him again if we run into any issues in the future. Highly recommend!

Angel was able to come down and figure out what's wrong with my leaky toilet.  He appeared honest and thorough.  He also explained to me what he was doing and what the costs were.  He was able to quote me a ballpark figure on the phone and because nothing else was wrong, he did not deviate from it.  Great guy, great company.

Angel has been our plumber for over 3 years. I called him for the first time when I needed our dryer's gas line disconnected for repair. But, Angel's work ethic and his drive to do his best by his customers really shined through when we had to have our new washer and dryer installed. The space was tight, and the installation of the previous washer dryer was botched pretty bad. Angel and I had agreed on the price before he actually saw how bad it was. Even after discovering that the work was a lot more than anticipated, he did not back out of renegotiate. He and his brother worked diligently through the entire day, trying multiple things to make sure that the installation was safe and up to code (the previous installation, as it turns out, was not up to code). He even had to make multiple trips back to his garage to do some sheet metal work to reshape parts to make it fit the tight space.
Since then he has also worked on our replacing our refrigerator and dishwasher lines, and redoing the piping for the kitchen faucet. He has always made things much better than he found them.
He is amazing at his job, and he is definitely my go to plumber. I can't recommend him enough.

After smelling some natural gas this morning, I called Eversource to check it out. Turns out there was a small leak in the gas line to my gas fireplace, so Eversource shutoff the gas. I found Angel / Dynamic Plumbing on Yelp and gave him a call. I was expecting that it would take a few days to get an appointment, but Angel was able to swing by this afternoon and fix the problem in one visit! He also took care of filing the necessary permit/paperwork with Somerville so everything gets squared away properly.

Angel was very quick with communications, did a great job explaining and fixing the problem, cleaned up thoroughly, and even took a quick look at my water heater and heating system to give some advice on maintaining them. It is clear that Angel is an expert and values excellent customer service.

I highly recommend Angel and will definitely be using him for any future gas, plumbing, HVAC etc needs (although fingers crossed that I don't have any issues for a while!).

We have had Angel out to help out with a couple plumbing issues at our home in Somerville! In addition to a willingness to fit us in within a day or two of reaching out, he has been kind, patient and knowledgeable on how to address the issue at hand, and had fair, straight forward pricing. One fixture he installed turned out to be defective and he was incredibly responsive and helpful working with us to get the issue resolved. We highly recommend Dynamic!

Dynamic PH took advantage of my situation and overcharged massively.

I was desperate to get a kitchen fawcet replaced and had already tried to reach several other plumbers unsuccessfully on a Friday afternoon. Dynamic offered to do the job: $375 for the fawcet replacement (I supplied the fawcet) and $195 for each shut-off valve that had to be replaced (he replaced both). In total Angel and his helper took about 1.5 hours. Afterwards I realized that I had been had, but it was too late. I had accepted the offer, so I paid the $765. I would never ask Dynamic to do anything for me again.

It's also worth noting that Angel was in such a hurry to install the new fawcet that he was going to put the new one down on top of a lot of crusty scale that had built up under and around the old fawcet. This could have kept the rubber gasket under the fawcet-plate from sealing properly. I asked him to wait while I removed the scale while he stood by impatiently. Also, the fawcet is mounted such that mixer-handle is off center. For almost $800 I would expect at the very least much better attention to such details.

The next time I will ask for an hourly rate. The Dynamic rate, calculated conservatively ($765 / 1.5 hours / 2 people) is $255/hour. Two other plumbers I asked had rates of $133/hour and $150/hour. If you consider that Angel's helper didn't need to be there at all (I think he was just there to be able justify the massive bill) then the hourly rate becomes $510/hour. wow.

Angel with Dynamic Plumbing was really easy to work with, no fluff. We thought we had a leak coming from a 3rd floor apartment to the 2nd floor, and it turns out it's just discoloration from paint. Once he arrived he was quick,  did the necessary tests to confirm there was no leak, and made recommendations for how to move forward. He could have easily cut holes in the wall and charged us more, but instead was honest and saved us a lot of hassle.

We will definitely call Angel again for future issues.

I called on New Year's day about a frozen pipe burst situation and Angel called me back within 10 minutes. He came over the the apartment promptly and provided a reasonable estimate. He spent time with me explaining everything he saw and what needed to be done. This is all on New Year's Day. He was amazingly patient and nice.

Had a busted hot water heater so I called Dynamic. Angel answered right away and was able to come by within 3 hours. Replaced the heater the same day and was great to work with. I highly recommend him and Dynamic!

Excellent! Angel and his brother Kumar did a job for me on a Saturday morning, after having completed an emergency all-night job for the city. I needed piping rerouted from behind a wall for a permitted dishwasher install, and a leak repaired. They did quick, clean and amazing work! Unlike the nightmare that was previously installed, the pipes Angel installed under my sink are easily accessible and at right angles. I spent nearly two weeks calling plumbers (listed and recommended); they were all either unavailable or unreliable. Angel came over the same day I called to evaluate and quote, then stayed in contact by phone/text, as we arranged a time for the job, over the next day. I wish I would have found him sooner. He was very informative. He said what he was going to do, then showed up and did what he said. I don't look forward to future plumbing problems, but when they arise, I will be calling Angel.

Angel was great. We had a steam pipe that sprung a leak very shortly after we moved into our new home. Angel took the time to explain our system to us and the cause of our problem.  He was able to come give us an estimate after work, and then when the problem got worse he came and took care of it on a Sunday in a short order.  They even cleaned up the mess from the leak that happened before they got involved. Very pleased.

My diverter/volume spindle was broken for 3 days and I could not utilize my shower/bath tub. I do not know about but I like to keep my hygiene in tact. It is the day after Thanksgiving so I assumed that it would be a headache finding a plumber. I called the first plumber that I researched, Dynamic Plumbing & Heating. They answered the phone, thank goodness. I explained the problem and he gave me a price quote. The plumbers arrived in 35 minutes Ashe stated on the phone. They were professional, worked in a timely manner and were very customer service oriented. I am a satisfied customer. If you need a plumber, I highly recommend Dynamic Plumbing & Heating.

We approached Angel based on the reviews at Yelp and very much disappointed with their super expensive Quote. I had to replace my old water heater and shopping around for a reasonable quote. Since Angel was busy, he took time to respond but he did respond promptly. We had texted initially and exchange the need for water heater replacement. Angel asked me to forward the photographs of the water heater so they can provide me a quote. When I sent photographs of the 40 gallon water heater, Angel quote was way more  that what other plumbers quoted and the quotes  I got from hardware stores near to my place. If I had to buy a similar 40 gallon water heater from a hardware store, it would cost me $500 for a standard electric water heater of that size and a cost of installation should be around $500 to $600. I'm not looking for a hybrid electric water heater installation here but trying to get a standard one install for a reasonable cost. I didn't find the quote reasonable and I'm still wondering why Angel gave me that quote. But I decided not to go with Angel.

I agree with the other positive raters. Recently, there were several days of subfreezing temperature that froze the water in a pip feeding the kitchen. I called the Yelp top-rated plumbers in the area and either left messages, or wasn't able to schedule a service call. Angel called back and said he'd be over in 20' and also told me the rates. He explained that it was a best effort,  i.e., no guarantee that he'd be able to resolve the problem which was agreeable. Angel assessed the situation and restored running water to the kitchen. He proposed corrective measures for a future visit that should minimize the chance of the pipes freezing again.

Plumber called and said he can accommodate a last minute check-up. After arriving at the house, he mentioned that he was afraid of the dog. The dog was secured but plumber left abruptly. Plumber should have been up front with situation and say that he is leaving as oppose to just taking off. Not too happy with overall experience.

Dynamic was excellent. I had a leaking, broken garbage disposal.  They were able to come out within the hour and immediately installed a new one.  From the time I called to the time I had a new working disposal was only 2 hours!  Fantastic.  And since I was a new customer, they discounted the job. Will definitely call Dynamic again.

While Dynamic hasn't done any work for me yet, I give them 5 stars for customer service. As a new homeowner, having plumbing problems can be quite daunting. When I initially called Dynamic and talked to Angel, I wasn't sure what was causing a mysterious leak from my ceiling. He advised me on the best course of action - which was to contact my sprinkler company. After that was ruled out, I had Angel come to evaluate the problem. It's not often that service companies take the time and care to give great advice - even when it may not end up with work for them. Well, I can say that I will be calling them with my next problem and spreading the word!

On time, quick, efficient and friendly! Angel does a great job - we would recommend him to anyone.

Fast, responsive and does excellent work with permits, not to mention cleaning up after the job is done! That is what we liked about Angel. We have been looking for a plumber who could help install our new gas dryer and also make changes to the laundry closet (we needed the new laundry unit to face the hallway and not a bedroom). There was definitely carpentry work involved since we wanted to remove the pantry-like closet next to the laundry to merge with the existing laundry closet space. Angel was very quick to respond, and when he came, he even pointed out things that we missed - like our dryer vent in our old Victorian house was totally blocked by lint (it probably has never been cleaned in the past decade by the previous owners). For safety reasons, he recommended a new vent to be built for our new dryer and he also promised that he would make it easy for us to clean our dryer vent yearly). He worked with us to give us a package price and took care of the carpentry work involved, and he even accommodated our busy schedule to make it work. The day after we got our washer and dryer delivered by Home Depot, Angel came to fix the gas connection, and scheduled the plumbing inspector, who came the next day. I was very pleased by how our laundry closet/unit turned out, and like many other Yelpers mention, Angel values good customer relations. He tries his best to give you the best solution for your money, taking into account of safety issues. Will we hire Angel again? Definitely yes!

We had one radiator that needed to be connected to the heating system for a while now. We attempted to do it during the winter, but the plumbers we found wanted obscene amount of money to connect it, so we lived the entire winter without it. Finally, my husband went on craiglist and found Dynamic Plumbing Heating & Gas Fitting. He called on a Sunday and Angel was there 1st thing on Monday morning to look at the job. At that time we showed him a couple of other things we thought needed attention. He advised against changing some of them, but agreed on a pipe that needed to be replaced going into our hot water heater. He left with the agreement that later in day he would call with a quote. He did so by noon and by the time I came home on Monday night 2 people were working in the basement. They were fast, clean and very respectful. The price for the radiator and the pipe was more than  1/2 less than what we had been quoted before for the radiator only. We really liked them and will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to family and friends. Thanks!
