Bridge City Backflow & Irrigation

We bought our home less than two years ago and it has always had issues with the sprinkler system.  The company that apparently had last serviced our system had horrible reviews on both Yelp and Google, so I spent some time doing my research.  I came across Jacob and Bridge City Backflow and I reached out. It is his busy season, so it took a few days to hear back, but I am so glad that we decided to wait and use him (based on his glowing reviews).  He did not disappoint! Jacob is friendly, patient, knowledgeable and is going to do everything he can to ensure that things turn out the best for his customers while clearly explaining what he is doing.  He also did not try to upsell or nickel and dime us, which he easily could have done being that I am definitely not an expert when it comes to sprinkler systems.  He definitely understands that solid business comes through happy, returning customers and their referrals. We hired Jacob to do some modifications to the old funky irrigation system we inherited with our home.  Jacob quickly and efficiently made the new connections and corrected problems.  One zone required boring under our driveway, and Jacob tried valiantly to make that one final connection.  Unfortunately, that did not work out, so he made a small cut in the asphalt driveway and quickly put the new connection in the trench.  He then patched the driveway very well.  Now our irrigation system is a much better system!  Jacob was a pleasure to work with and takes much pride and care in his work.  I would highly recommend him for any irrigation project you have!

Our experience was absolutely top notch. Literally the easiest home repair we've ever had.  Set up the inspection and quote via text. He inspected the system without me even needing me or my wife there.  He identified the issue, showed me the problem via texts and photos, got me a quote, AND fixed the issue same day at a price lower than I expected.

We hired Jacob after receiving a quote by a larger company who although was going to do the work were not very friendly an in fact so brash I felt rude. Jacob responded within a day of contacting them, answered my MANY questions and went over things over the phone and via pictures to give me a quote.

He did a thorough job doing a repair replacing our back flow and a fixing a broken pipe in our irritation system. His final price actually came in below his quote. More so Jacob is a very nice guy and a wonderful small local business to support! He was respectful wearing a mask, keeping distance and even talking and explaining things to my children. I would hire them again in a heart beat and urge others to consider this company.

We had to call Bridge city Backflow back? My dear wife is a wonderful woman and I certainly love her but she
cant park worth a Damn? She parked partially off the drive way and on to the lawn a few inches which was just enough to damage a couple of sprinkler heads which had to be replaced and moved out further from the driveway? Jacob did this for us and all is ok now? 'Thanks''

I'm writing this on the morning after Jacob worked on my sprinkler system, so that may bias my review, but cannot speak higher of him and his business.

After getting scammed for way too much money by another sprinkler service company, I called Jacob on a Monday afternoon in peak sprinkler repair season (early spring, as most folks are getting their systems up and running), and he was at my house first thing on Wednesday morning.

He spent about an hour and a half working through my system, fixing a sprinkler head and moving a few others. The cost of the job was extremely reasonable, and he couldn't have been more friendly or professional. Cannot recommend any higher.

I contacted Jacob on a Saturday night regarding a pipe I broke at one of my job sites. Since this was an emergency for me and my client he offered to fix it at the earliest convenience possible. Thank you Jacob for your quick response and reasonable price. I wish every plumbing / irrigation company was this easy to work with. Thank you again Jacob.

Jacob was great. He's friendly and communicative and provided good solutions for adjusting our aging sprinkler system to cover our new landscaping. He checked with us often during the process to see if he was covering our needs and priorities and seemed happy to discuss any concerns we had. We are extremely satisfied and couldn't recommend him more highly.

I had been frustrated with getting an annual Backflow test as so many companies made me feel like they were doing me a favor by responding.  Not Bridge City Backflow.  My experience was that 1) Communications was fast, accurate and made me feel appreciated as a customer.  2) scheduling was easy, in my case same day, and showed up on time (I was the last job, so they also sent updates during the day to confirm they were on-schedule). 3) I felt valued as a customer.  I'm a curious person, and Bridge City not only didn't mind me watching them do the work, but he took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and what the results meant.  

No more frustration with Backflow tests for me!  I'll be calling Bridge City every time.

We had an irrigation system installed and I didn't realize we needed the backflow permitted and inspected until after the contractor was long gone. I reached out to Bridge City and Jacob got right back to me. He showed up, was incredibly helpful and friendly, inspected the work that was done, discussed my options, fixed two issues regarding the Backflow (apparently the city wants 6 of clearance underneath the device, and 24+ of clearance above), and answered all my questions. The job was done in a couple hours and now I'm just waiting for the city to inspect it. Super happy and highly recommend Jacob!

Jacob was quick to come out, knew what he was doing and very reasonably priced.  Other irrigation companies quoted $200/hour!!  Jacob was $110 for service call of 1 hour and he went through my entire system.  Will definitely use Jacob again, if needed.

Great experience and mostly seamless coordination.  Jacob is super personable and listens well.  Gives recommendations on work needed.  Enjoyed working with him on a fairly small irrigation system issue which he completed quickly and efficiently to avoid excess labor costs.  Appreciated that.

Definitely give Bridge City Backflow & Irrigation a call! Jacob responded quickly and got me scheduled the next day for the backflow test. He explained everything and let me watch the process. I'm a first time home buyer so this was my first backflow test. I'll be calling Bridge City next year!

Jacob is very communicative, super helpful, friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and reasonable cost-wise. I had sprinkler repair work, nozzle replacement, and backflow testing. I recommend him and will use him again for future needs!

Jacob is great to work with, responsive and knowledgeable.  I had an issue with my water company saying they never received my backflow test results, and Jacob knew exactly what to do and save me from being double billed.  I'd recommend him without hesitation!

I had a Jacob help me activate and properly set up my sprinkler system at my new construction home. He did a great job explaining how the system works, inspecting and adjusting all the heads, making sure the coverage was properly set up. He ran through how to operate the controller and get the right amount of watering depending on the time of year. We are very cautious about over watering, as we have had water intrusion issues in previous homes, and he helped set our system to get adequate coverage without over watering,. He even showed me how to properly winterize my system on my own. I highly recommend him and plan to use his services in the future!

My irrigation system was worn down and not working as it should. I was Bridge City's reviews and had to go with them, Jacob was quick to respond with a quote and made scheduling and overall communication a breeze. Jacob came out a few days later and got my RainBird system calibrated perfectly and explained to me the issue with my system and how to troubleshoot it myself in the future. Jacob is a real professional and I would not hesitate at all in recommending him to friends and family. He took the time to answer all of my questions about my system and programming my RainBird. Jacob even put on the finishing touches by showing me everything he changed and was kind enough to put some new grass seed down for parts of my lawn that were dead. I am excited to see my lawn grow healthy again! I plan to install an irrigation system for my vegetable garden in the future and look forward to having Bridge City come out install everything for me. I am a very happy customer! Bridge City Backflow installed a new irrigation system at our house 2 months ago with 8 zones and a backflow device.  The install work was top notch and the follow up support to dial in the system once it got warm, great!  The warranty they provide is also very good, although I doubt I'll need it.  Jacob is courteous, professional and knowledgeable and truly cares about his customers.  I recommend this company.
