Jason and his associate Chris were phenomenal, professional and excellent troubleshooters.  My wife and I needed to correct an electrical issue that had plagued us for years, Jason and Chris tracked down the problem and corrected it.  Jason and Chris upgraded our electrical box with a new manufactured cover that had been around since the 1960's, and the original service (house was built in 1947) from the line to the meter to the electrical box inside the house.  Everything is brand new and the price was very very fair.  I recommend these two kind, trustworthy and informative gentlemen who will give you an honest price for honest and complete work.

Installed an outdoor 240V outlet  50 AMP circuit breaker for an EV.  He was on time and did a great job. The price was fair. I would recommend them.

I had electrical panel/service upgraded and Ron and his team were excellent. They were punctual and professional. They came recommended from friends who had them do theirs too. Communication was great and they were kind enough to give me some advice for other electrical projects and questions. Best of all they know what they are doing, and no BS. Ron is genuinely a nice person. It's hard to find good electricians and I am so happy to find one, finally.

Updated review: Still using Pat 3 years later! Called him out to replace a toilet and ceiling fan and fix other miscellaneous things around my condo while we were getting it ready to sell. He does stellar work & in minimal time. Also great that he's capable in electric so I didn't have to hire 2 separate companies.

We used him again for my father in laws store a month later, there was an issue with a smell coming from a drainage pipe, Pat had lots of great options to fix it. Highly recommend Goodwork plumbing!!

This company was recommended through our Condo Association after I experienced electrical flickering issues for several days.  ComEd found no issues w/ outside wiring leading up to our 12 unit building...Contacted Village Square Electric, had owner Steve Holdefer check out circuit breaker box (indoor) and then main breaker (outside).  Outside breaker found to be faulty and was replaced.  No issues...problem resolved.  Steve was courteous, took time to explain every procedure he took in layman's language...Price was fair (I researched other electrical companies before calling Village)...Would definitely use this vendor again without hesitation.

Above and beyond customer service.  We called him at the last minute and he came to our rescue and delayed the start of his own vacation.  He did a wonderful job, very professional -- we will definitely call them again.

Eddie was very professional, respectful, and clean. My wife and I were very happy and impressed with how closely he paid attention to detail; we will definitely entrust him with our future electrical needs, and we will certainly recommend him to family and friends.

Mr Paxson was very professional. He arrived on time, provided a written estimate via email, followed his estimate, was polite, cleaned up his mess... fantastic experience!

INCREDIBLE!!!

I was in the midst of an IKEA-related lighting fixture crisis (turns out I'd tripped a circuit, half the house was in darkness, the lighting fixture itself wouldn't work--you know, the whole deal), and I called Kostos Electric. Even though the gentleman on the phone was on vacation in St. Louis he took a full hour to walk me through my problem, and not only did his patient and kind advice solve my wiring woes, but he didn't even charge me for the consultation!

It's really rare these days to get such a personal--and HELPFUL--connection from just a brief Google search, but I'm so, so glad I called Kostos Electric. I hope to be using this company for all of my electrical needs for many years to come, and would highly recommend that anyone looking for honest, fair, and friendly service do the same.

Eddie was absolutely amazing and was extremely professional. We called him to help investigate why a microwave got burnt out & was smoking. He quickly returned my call and was onsite within an hour.

He determined that the microwave was not installed properly, needed to have its own dedicated breaker, and was not grounded properly. As he worked to address the issue, he uncovered several other issues with the electrical setup for the kitchen. For each issue he showed it to me, explained why it was unsafe, and presented a several options on how to proceed.

While making the repairs, he discovered several electrical boxes hidden behind drywall & tile, which he needed to gain access to in order to complete the repairs. Before he made each cut he gained my approval and every spot he opened up he gained access to hidden boxes. He did not make any unnecessary cuts in the wall!

Overall, Eddie was truly amazing and I would work with him again if I ever needed anything. I really appreciated how he showed and explained everything he found, as well as laying out the multiple remediation plans. He is extremely passionate about his work and it is reflected in his expert craftmanship.

These people are a fraud. Do not work with Krystle Stiff or Phillip Sanders. We signed a contract, paid thousands of dollars and have not been able to get a hold of anyone. They started work in Sept. Today is Nov 11 and the only thing done is demo in kitchen, living and dining room. Its been two weeks since they have responded to any communication.

Terrible experience. I had a dishwasher that was malfunctioning. The problem appeared to be an electrical issue. I called A&K for an estimate and they were not able to give me one over the phone. I understood that they would have to come over and diagnose the problem first in order to give me a quote. They came over and tinkered around under the dishwasher for a few minutes. After initial inspection I asked him to explain what the problem was. He was not able/willing to do this and proceeded to scribble some nonsense down on a piece of paper with a number of $600 circled on it. I asked him to explain what that cost was for and again what the problem appeared to be with the machine. The only response I could get was some incoherent explanation about his overhead cost as an electrician in Chicago and the license dues or something that he had to pay. For that reason the cost was $600. I told him that was outrageous and I would not pay that without more information. He pulled the piece of paper back, scratched out the number and wrote $525 as if this were some kind of shady negotiation. I asked him to kindly leave. I subsequently called another electrician who eventually came over, diagnosed the problem, fixed it on the spot and provided a detailed invoice for $140. I thanked him, paid him in full and tipped him. Do not call A & K.
