Best Electricians in United States
Jason and his associate Chris were phenomenal, professional and excellent troubleshooters. My wife and I needed to correct an electrical issue that had plagued us for years, Jason and Chris tracked down the problem and corrected it. Jason and Chris upgraded our electrical box with a new manufactured cover that had been around since the 1960's, and the original service (house was built in 1947) from the line to the meter to the electrical box inside the house. Everything is brand new and the price was very very fair. I recommend these two kind, trustworthy and informative gentlemen who will give you an honest price for honest and complete work.

These guys installed a 30 amp outlet in my garage for EV. They showed up on time and did a quick and excellent job. Best of all was how they made time for my job on a Saturday morning the day before.

I needed someone to hook up a new spa. I used to have a spa with 60 AMP service a few years ago and wiring (disconnected from the Circuit panel)) run to near the new spa which required 40 AMP service.
Patrick told me I needed to replace the 60 AMP breaker with a 40 AMP. I texted him a photo, explained it was a Siemens breaker box and asked him to pick one up on his drive to my house (Glenbard Electric was on his way and he would know what to ask for). Instead he showed at my house, up looked at the wiring outside and left to go shopping - I'm guessing he showed up first so he could start his billing clock.
After an hour or so of shopping, he returned and examined the breaker box then declared the work too difficult - he would need to cut away my wall where it joins to the ceiling. I asked if he would reassemble the wall that he felt he needed to cut away. Patrick explained that he was an electrician, not a carpenter and it would be my responsibility to patch up my wall/ceiling. I explained that I did not want to be left with a big ugly hole in my wall/ceiling to which he responded that I already had a big ugly hole in my wall. He explained that my job would take longer than he expected and a more important customer was waiting for him.
It was at this point that I asked him to leave.
$340 for a service call, 1+ hour for shopping, complaining and a 40 AMP GFCI breaker. Patrick completed no work but was quick to give me his invoice when I kicked him out.
I will never call this jerk again.
The upshot: I (a computer consultant) fixed the wiring that was too hard for Patrick:
I reset the junction box in the wall and restrung wires through conduit between the junction box and the circuit panel about 1 foot away. I did have to stand on a ladder and buy a fitting from Home Depot, but did not have to cut away the wall/ceiling. I bill my clients by the hour and have no problem paying for good service. However, I have little patience for someone who pads his bill and complains when the work is slightly more than trivial.

This company was recommended through our Condo Association after I experienced electrical flickering issues for several days. ComEd found no issues w/ outside wiring leading up to our 12 unit building...Contacted Village Square Electric, had owner Steve Holdefer check out circuit breaker box (indoor) and then main breaker (outside). Outside breaker found to be faulty and was replaced. No issues...problem resolved. Steve was courteous, took time to explain every procedure he took in layman's language...Price was fair (I researched other electrical companies before calling Village)...Would definitely use this vendor again without hesitation.

update: still recommend, but knocking off a star for two things. Noticed broken old outdoor light fixture still attached. Hope to have that cared for and had new jobs, but I waited for them to have time for me and never heard back... :(

AWE.SOME.
I've had Eddie come out twice now, and both times he went above and beyond.
Work he's done for me:
1 - Replaced outdoor lighting fixtures on a low-voltage system. Ensured current set up was safe, fixed shoddy work left by previous owners (like unsealed wire ends), and it looks BEAUTIFUL! He also made a concerted effort not to damage my plants after I hopped around him frantically as he started working.
2 - Replaced normal outlets with GFCIs where they should be. Eddie stands out in that he's clearly safety conscious and concerned about my family's safety. Not in a fake way where he could have installed GFCI's everywhere, and in fact talked me out of some that I thought I needed. Tested existing GFCIs.
3 - Replaced indoor lighting fixtures with new. I'm pretty sure he got zapped while replacing one -- previous DIY owner did nothing to code, I've seen the dangling live wires and wrong colored wires in previous projects -- but he soldiered on, and everything looks GREAT! (Previous handyman made a muckery of simple light fixture replacement, but I had to remove the review due to threatening message from the business owner)
4 - Installed new remote receptors in ceiling fan. Because I know how safety-conscious Eddie is, I tell my son he now has the safest ceiling fan in the entire house, because while Eddie had the fan down I know he made sure wiring was done right.
5 - This one's huge for me, and why I called him back for more work. The grounding prong for the electric starter broke off my new Toro snowblower (wth?). Of course I no longer had the receipt, so Toro wouldn't help and the repair places I called said I'd need to replace the starter at a cost close to a new snowblower. My dad's an electrical expert but not as able to do the work he once did, so we knew someone should be able to simply replace the prong! Eddie was the first who agreed to take a look and see if he could do this.
He could have oversold me any which way, but charged me almost nothing to replace the prong, and followed up with excellent advice to maximize its durability. Advised buying a very short extension cord, plug into the new prong, wrap it around the snowblower handle, and plug in via that when using electric starter, to minimize impact to the new prong. Brilliant!
6 - I asked for estimate to install a WIRED doorbell, as I've had nothing but problems with wireless doorbells at my last two houses. Here again, he could have made some money, and gave me an estimate, but recommended I at least try a specific brand/model of wireless. I did, and lo and behold it works...consistently...with awesome features such as ability to mute if I'm a work call at home.
He did more, but I'm running out of time and characters. Bottom line is that I feel Eddie is extremely conscientious about his work, takes pride in it, truly seems to care about electrical safety (but doesn't use that as a money-making ploy), is honest, and very affordable and fair in his pricing.
That said, I haven't met others that work for the company, and in the past I've been disappointed when an otherwise great company sends out someone who does poor work. But I do feel Eddie would stand by work done by anyone else in his company.

These people are a fraud. Do not work with Krystle Stiff or Phillip Sanders. We signed a contract, paid thousands of dollars and have not been able to get a hold of anyone. They started work in Sept. Today is Nov 11 and the only thing done is demo in kitchen, living and dining room. Its been two weeks since they have responded to any communication.

Terrible experience as well. While a service call on New Year's Day was appreciated, I was totally overcharged for a job that wasn't completely finished. More importantly, not once was I given an explanation of the work that was done and what the charges were for. Instead, he tried to convince me that a $7,000 re-working of all of my wiring was needed. No thanks. Talk about customer manipulation.
After consulting with 2 other PROFESSIONAL electricians regarding my experience, they felt uncomfortable that someone that claimed to be licensed, bonded, and insured would do such a thing. Even more entertaining, was a follow up phone call wanting my credit card information after writing him a perfectly funded check. Really disappointed. Lesson learned.
