Tom came out to do a an estimate on  a new house for me.  Amazingly this was no charge and he presented me with a few different options. After deciding on what work wanted done He was able to come out with a couple other guys about a week later. They did a great job.  The previous owners of the new house were apparently do it yourselfers and there wasn't much in the additions that was code.Norb & Son's fixed it the right way.  It's been about month now and everything is still working great and even looks safer.

My mom's house was in need of a full electrical upgrade. So I went to Yelp and looked at the best rated electrical companies around the northwest side of Chicago and Arnold Electric appeared. I gave Arnold Electric a call and spoke to Mary and told her about the situation and she said we would have Jack, the owner of Arnold Electric, come over and give us a quote. So a couple of days later Jack stopped on by. He was very friendly and gave us an idea of how much everything would cost and we thought it was reasonable so we went with them. The first thing they had to do was replace the electric circuit breaker box. Mike, Art, and Joe came over and were very easy to deal with. If we had some questions, they answered them in a way that I could understand because I am not versed in electrical matters. The whole electrical rewire wouldn't take place until about two weeks after the panel box was replaced but the kitchen was being redone and we needed an outlet removed a little earlier then that. So I called the office and spoke to Pam and the next day they sent Mike over to get rid of the outlet. It was only like a 20 minute job but it really helped with the kitchen remodel. I asked how much we owed him for the extra work and he said don't worry it is included in the price. I like the fact that they didn't stick you with extra charge. After that it was on to the whole electrical rewire. Joe was our primary electrician for that.  He was not only good at his job but he was also very nice to my mom. My mom was real nervous about all this electrical work but he put her at ease. He was like the dog whisperer but for my mom. Everything turned out awesome. One more thing that is important to know. They clean up after they do their work. I have heard horror stories about other electrical companies not cleaning up and Arnold Electric is not one of them. My mom now has a new kitchen because of the electric rewiring and box. Without Arnold Electric that would not have been possible because many of the kitchen appliances would have not worked. We appreciate everything that Arnold Electric did for us. They really know what they are doing.

Eligio did a really great job installing our water filtration system that involved reconfiguring sink plumbing and drilling a hole through the granite countertop. Everything works great and looks great as well!

I priced several electricians from Yelp, AJ was very responsive and professional with a very fair price.  Him and his partner installed 4 light fixtures, moved a light box and installed dimmer switches. AJ left everything very clean, didn't rush and explained what needed to be done. I highly recommend Gadertech. Very good experience.

Fast and courteous service!  I've had a couple of calls out for electrical service in my unit after a serious roof leak.  I've  been impressed with the level of service and diligence at finding the root cause of the electrical issues.

Had a GFCI trip during the night for no apparent reason, nothing running at the time.
Called to request that it be checked out. Showed up within 20 minutes, did a thorough evaluation and very reassuring.
Will definitely add to my address book for future use.

After having a home inspection while in the process of selling our home, we learned that we needed to have some minor electrical work done.  I called Advantage Electric, and Mark agreed to meet me within the hour.  Just a few minutes later, our work was done!  I was very impressed with Mark's speed and work ethic.  Best electrician in the area!  We would highly recommend him and will definitely use him in the future.

I would highly recommend Eugene. He is by far the best electrician I have worked with in Chicago. He is very professional, responsive, and reliable. He goes above and beyond to ensure the right service is provided. I will definitely use him any time I have a need for an electrician.

Perfect! Had some kitchen lighting installed. Aspire was prompt, creative and knew exactly how to complete my project. After they left, there was no evidence that work had been done - other than the lighting! No mess, no cleanup for me. Highly recommended.

Had some outlets that were out and one that needed to be fixed! They fixed everything in half an hour and very reasonable pricing! They even called me the next day that I first called to let me know someone canceled and they could come today! Compared to others this was a great price! They were on time and worked quickly! Will use them for remodel!!

I agree with the previous review. Don't be wary of this guy. Just don't do business with him. He also asked us for 60% in advance. OK, I wasn't born yesterday. Nobody asks for 60% in advance. I asked him why it was so high. He said he had to buy supplies. We were installing lighting that we purchased. So what are we talking about - some electrical boxes and some wire?
He was supposed to be at our house at 10am. He called at 9:45 and said that he had some calls that delayed him and that he'd be about 2 hours late. He showed up at 12:30. Then he said that the lights (that I purchased from a reputable lighting company) were no good and that he couldn't install them. I went out to Home Depot and purchased 3 lights for the front closet. He didn't even try to put those in. He just left and said to call him when I had lights for the other closets. Why didn't he even try to put the other light in?
I went out that night and purchased 3 other lights from the lighting company we had previously been to and called Dino to let him know that we had new lighting. We set up an appointment for 1pm on Friday. Dino texted me on Thursday night to confirm that we were still on for Friday. I told him that we were still on.
At 11:26 Dino texted me that he had an emergency panel upgrade and that he would be 2 hours late. 2 hours late seems to be standard for him. Now I am not one of those people who carry my phone with me everywhere I go so I was unable to respond immediately to Dino. By the time I responded to him, he said that he had already made other plans and that he couldn't be sitting around waiting for my reply. Oh, sitting around like I had done for 2 days waiting for him to show up?
He offered to come to the house at 8am the next day (Saturday). Although I was extremely leery at this point, I told him that he could come to the house and finish the job. I told him that I expected him at 8am and that this was his final chance to do the job.
He went ballistic (just as the previous reviewer said, this nut job has a temper) and told me to keep the job and get somebody else to do it. Then he told me that he was going to put a lien on the house for the work done. Then he said that he was going to call the village because I didn't get permits. Let's see, if I needed permits to put lights in, don't you think my licensed electrician should have told me that?
Stay far, far away from this lunatic.

I would never recommend Advance Area Service to anyone! The worker
who appears to be the person who operates this business was extremely
rude, and unprofessional. I recommended his services to assist an elderly family member, and he treated her like crap. He was rude, disrespectful, and
crass. He speaks to his customers with a negative tone and does not like
you asking him questions about the job you paid him for. He takes advantage of elderly people, by taking their money and informing them if there is a problem with his work, he will continue to charge them if he has to come back to correct his mistakes or inadequacies. He is particularly impolite to women, especially elderly ones. Be aware of this business and its services!!!!!!!!

STAY FAR AWAY from this business.  They are offering deals on Groupon and Amazon Local and not even responding to calls for quotes, etc...  They  will offer you an appointment over a month away and then simply not show up.  It is excuse after excuse from this company and their secretary is completely incompetent!!!!!!!  They don't even deserve a star.  They should not be allowed to operate a business in the State of Illinois or any other state for that matter and if enough people file complaints hopefully they won't!!!!!!!

This electrical service company has extremely poor customer service. I DO NOT recommend proceeding with them.

They're technician cancelled the appointment and no accommodation was made in the service fee charge for a rescheduled appointment.

Their company was able to inconvenience me so I was without air conditioning and did not believe any accommodation should be made.
