Best Landscapings in Phoenix, AZ

We attempted to use Gonzalez Landscaping for basic yard maintenance (trim branches, kill weeds, blow shit, you know...the usual), but Lucio has been impossible to work with. To me, he ranks higher than Farmer Juan but lower than not hiring a landscaper at all. Here are some tips to help him with potential future customers and to give customers insight on what they'll be dealing with when using this guy.

1. Write down appointments. This will allow Lucio to know things like the fact that he has made an appointment, the location of that appointment, and when that appointment takes place. This is essential to running a business and making money. He could accomplish this by using a pen and paper or even by adding a reminder on his phone.

2. Have landscaping equipment. I probably could have listed this one first, but there are times where Lucio didn't have his landscaping equipment. That makes it difficult to trim branches, kill weeds, and blow shit.

3. Respond to customers. When a customer calls you or sends you a text message, it is important to communicate with them. This allows you to setup appointments, keep customers notified of any updates or changes, and also retain existing customers to find out if they have any landscaping needs.

If you can find anyone in Maricopa that meets any one of these criteria, please let me know.

In his comment below, he makes it sound like this was a one-time thing. This has been ongoing for weeks and months. He has a new excuse every time. Congrats to all the happy customers who have such low expectations.

Was supposed to come last week, but didn't.

Was supposed to come this week but he texted on Friday saying they couldn't make it. They offered to come between 6 and 7 am today (Saturday), and I agreed. They did not show up. I waited for over an hour past the appointment time, then I texted to ask if they were still coming. No response for over an hour now. I'm assuming they are not coming.

If you need something done, you cannot rely on these guys to show up when they say they will.

Wish there were more stars.  Urban Oasis was the most responsive landscaper I called for a quote and am so glad I did.  Austin was always attentive to our needs.  I cannot say enough good things about this company.  They kept us in the loop the entire time and continually followed up and addressed our needs and/or concerns.  What great customer service and professionalism.  I'm so glad we found them.  Thanks Austin.

I've hired them a couple times now and LOVE their work. We have a very large yard and will be doing work for years as it's not a cheap project. They themselves are very reasonable, it's just a lot of land to fund all at once. Manny came out to do the estimate and has worked with us to do a long term vision for the yard. The crew who did the work were great and polite. I can't wait to use them for years to come!

Removed a 30ft fallen/rotten saguaro for us and they were in and out quick while still doing a great job. I would highly recommend their services.

I recently used sonoranscapes for irrigation repairs in my property in anthem. I am from out of state so I needed a reputable trustworthy company to handle these complicated repairs. James came out and I felt comfortable with him. His price was very reasonable and the work was done in a very professional way. In the future I will not hesitate to call them for any landscape/irrigation work.

I was looking for someone to clean up my front yard and Eduardo and his crew did amazing work. They took care of the weeds, trimmed over grown tree and bushes as well as raked my rocks and blowed the leaves away.

I called on Tuesday and they came out the next day to do an estimate. Eduardo was very easy to work with, and had very reasonable prices. My whole front yard was under $300 (and there was a lot of work!)

I was having the work done to surprise my dad for the holidays. Eduardo was very accommodating to my schedule and short time frame. When my dad came home to see the completed work he was very surprised and happy to see how great it looked.

We went from the messiest yard to the neatest yard on the street thanks to KO's Landscaping.

I needed landscaping done same day and they responded right away and came within a few hours. Our yard looks great! They even took the bags of foliage that we had from trying to start the task ourselves. Definitely recommend!

Had him come out to review and give me an estimate on reseeding. He wanted to change out my irrigation system and heads and seemed very knowledgeable. I had to ask twice for the estimate to be emailed, and I scheduled him to come do just the reseeding, but not change the system.
He came, scalped my little area, and reseeded and we had agreed he would move and change out one head on the system for an additional $50. When he was done he came to the front door and I paid him. He was to come back in 2 weeks to change the watering and see if he needed to add additional seed. Well, he Did Not move the sprinkler head. And he never showed up  in 2 weeks to reseed areas and change the watering schedule. No surprise. Don't use this guy.

Rick was friendly, professional, and on-time. I needed my bushes and plants trimmed and gave an excellent quote! I will definitely give him a call again next time I need some landscaping done!

We had the best experience with our front courtyard and custom fountain. Pricing was great, always good communication and the job was done exactly how we wanted.

Working with Eric and his crew was such a pleasure.  We love, love, love our yard now. Eric came up with a great design and the follow thru was perfect.  The one small problem of  one of the lights not working was addressed right away.  Couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend this company.

I asked for help with our yard through Yelp & Desert Cleanup Services was the first company to reach back out to me. I spoke with Marcus & he helped me through all of my questions & concerns. Within the week they were at my house & did AMAZING work. They went above & beyond to say the least. We had a pile of branches sitting on the side of the house & Marcus & his team took the branches with them on their way out even though it wasn't included in my estimate. Will definitely be going through them for any & all future service(s) needed!

JW did a great job.  Communication and expectations were on point, along with the quality of work.

I had two new sprinkler systems installed by Shrub it off a few months ago. 7/27/21 I had a major leakage on one of the valves in the front lawn system and water were everywhere. I shut off the water and then the following day I contacted Marcos and asked him to come by and help taking a look and see if anything was wrong with the system. One day has gone by and I did not get a response and then I called and left a message and still no response. Definitely disappointed because I selected them based on the reviews on Yelp. They should change their name to Shrug it off if this is how they are going to operate. So, I am leaving a 1 star review because of that.

Valley Vista Landscaping redesigned our backyard this last month. They came to the house talked to us about our ideas and gave their professional input on what would work and what might need to be tweaked. They gave us an estimate in a timely manner along with suggestions to keep the cost down by using different materials where possible. They set a day the work would start and gave us an idea when they thought the work should be finished. Valley Vista Landscaping was honest, prompt, friendly, cleaned up after them selves and professional. We will use them in the future and would recommend them to others.

Just coming on here as a heads up to you all. Whatever you do. Do NOT hire Anthony Diaz (TreeTop landscaping) for any landscaping work. We hired him in December to complete our yard as we just bought our first home. We were so excited and he was eager to start. We paid for the materials ourselves and we paid him for the work through Venmo. He is super nice and replied to me quickly in the beginning. I have pavers and 5 tons of gravel sitting in my driveway since January. He started the job but has not finished and just keeps promising to come and never shows up. Uses every excuse in the book. at this point we have the HOA on our buts and are probably out $4,800. We just want our $$ back but he has stopped replying to us. He is just a scamming people at this point as we are not the first he does this too. I really wish I would have done more research as I found a couple other reviews. Take our experience as a lesson and save yourself some money, headache, and stress by not hiring him.

I would not recommend this company to do anything remotely related to landscaping and sprinklers. After spending $5000 to $6000 with them on basic grass and a sprinkler system I now have to spend $8200 to remove and replace their horrible work. STAY CLEAR
