GAH....it is SOOO HARD to find quality, reliable help here in Maricopa...but thanks to Yelp, my crisis has been averted.
I needed to get my backyard landscaped. I thought I found the guy, even hired him and it turned out to be the biggest mistake ever. Not only did he not finish one project (grass, sprinklers and drip system, pony wall, fruit trees, river rock)...he did everything he did do wrong. Left with a mess on my hands and a beautiful new pool we just had installed, I went to Yelp and found Gonzalez Lucio Landscaping.
I reached out to Lucio thru the app and he was VERY responsive. We set an appointment for him to come out and he actually showed up on time. He was able to give me the different quotes that I asked for with the different materials we requested. He also said that he could start Tuesday of next week...
Tuesday showed up and so did his crew, all the materials needed and, they quickly got to work. This week, they have transformed my yard from a giant dust bowl of dirt to something beautiful...I want to go enjoy my yard now, my dog is happy for his real grass, and the last major project to this house has been complete...you have NO idea how good that feels.
Lucio and team, THANK YOU! THANK YOU for being the type of company that does what they say they are going to do, shows up when they are supposed to, doesn't overcharge for the services rendered. We are very much looking forward to being able to enjoy our yard with little to no maintenance because well, we'll see you every few weeks.

I'll give Lucio 3 stars. He does good work, but he's not reliable and that's all I'll say.

I just had my lawn maintained and they did an amazing job. I had terribly large weeds and they had taken over one of my bushes. Gonzalez Landscape came in at cleared all weeds and trimmed the bushes. The really spent a good amount of time and detail on my lawn. I'm happy to find a regular landscape company at pricing that doesn't kill your budget.

We attempted to use Gonzalez Landscaping for basic yard maintenance (trim branches, kill weeds, blow shit, you know...the usual), but Lucio has been impossible to work with. To me, he ranks higher than Farmer Juan but lower than not hiring a landscaper at all. Here are some tips to help him with potential future customers and to give customers insight on what they'll be dealing with when using this guy.

1. Write down appointments. This will allow Lucio to know things like the fact that he has made an appointment, the location of that appointment, and when that appointment takes place. This is essential to running a business and making money. He could accomplish this by using a pen and paper or even by adding a reminder on his phone.

2. Have landscaping equipment. I probably could have listed this one first, but there are times where Lucio didn't have his landscaping equipment. That makes it difficult to trim branches, kill weeds, and blow shit.

3. Respond to customers. When a customer calls you or sends you a text message, it is important to communicate with them. This allows you to setup appointments, keep customers notified of any updates or changes, and also retain existing customers to find out if they have any landscaping needs.

If you can find anyone in Maricopa that meets any one of these criteria, please let me know.

In his comment below, he makes it sound like this was a one-time thing. This has been ongoing for weeks and months. He has a new excuse every time. Congrats to all the happy customers who have such low expectations.

Competitively priced & excellent service!! We needed our yards cleaned up so we can get our house listed. This included spreading 5 tons of rock. They were on time & made both yards look perfect! Will definitely hire in the future

Never had such a horrible experience. I schedule an appointment with this guy and we agreed on a time. I live 41 miles away from the site where the work needs to be done. The time we agreed on had come and gone and I wasn't even given a call. I text, then called,...NOTHING! He finally texted that he's on his way almost three hours after our appointment.
Granted the job I have is a big one, I let Lucio name his price and I agreed. We agreed on a time and date. That time had come and gone with nothing from Lucio...after several failed attempts to reach him, he call/text, that he couldn't make it because they got behind.  We rescheduled for EARLY Wednesday morning. Again, the time had come and gone and nothing from Lucio. I, again reach out text/call/text, nothing! Finally, well after the scheduled appointment, he replies, we are very busy, I will try to fit you in. However, Nothing, he nor his team ever showed nor did he call. You may have had a different experience with this guy, but i received HORRIBLE customer service and find him to be completely UNRELIABLE!

We have been working with Lucio for several years now and he has been great! He takes care of several of my properties. He is friendly and comes around the same day each month to complete all the yards. He lets me know when he will be coming and texts me when there are any issues.  Reasonable pricing too.

Lucio has been servicing two of my yards for several months now. He is always prompt, provides excellent service, and is a great value. Highly recommend his services to anyone else needing a reliable service!

I am completely satisfied with my backyard! This tree was HUGE and way overgrown and I had a tree in the corner that I needed chopped down. They came in and got it done quick! My backyard looks beautiful now and as a bonus I noticed they even trimmed my bush! Priced very good for how beautiful my yard looks. Thank you once again!

Called Lucio and he came within the hour. Him and his crew quickly got started and made my front and back yard look so great especially because I had some fallen branches and over grown grass and bushes from the monsoon. A+

When I called he told me he would be here 9am the next day for a quote. I texted him at 9:55am asking where he was and he said Hey I'm in casa grande I don't think I can make today. That's it, just blew me off, no offer to reschedule or anything. I made special arrangements with work to be home during that time, but he didn't tell me or give me any notice. Poor service.

We live in a custom home with a custom tropical landscape and pool in the front and rear of the home. I will use LUCIO GONZALEZ FOREVER. I am highly particular whom I let in my home or who does my work. Lucio will work for you like you are family. He is capable of leaving him alone and giving him the permission to do whatever he thinks is best. I cannot compliment him any higher. If he is delayed he will actually call you. That's a first ! Cleans up perfect , styles perfect. Very fast worker, not like the lazy workers. What take others 2 days he can usually do in 1 or less. My backyard was in advertisements, Christmas cards and photographed professionally. No one but Lucio and his men will ever be allowed to do work for my home. He is a true gentleman, very honest. Best of all his prices are the most reasonable in the landscaping business. There is no landscaper better in ARIZONA OR NEW YORK WHERE WE MOVED FROM. I reached out to GL Landscaping to help with my mom's yard in Maricopa, which had grown out of control -- and let me tell you, in my wildest dreams I never anticipated it would look so nice once the job was done!  Superior work at an affordable price.  I don't think it's looked this good in years, and I have Gonzalez Lucio to thank for it.  I appreciate all the hard work, and I look forward to using you again for all my future landscaping needs.  You guys are the best!

Called him on December 31st to do a yard cleanup around 11am. That is right New Years Eve. He got back to me in about 45 minutes. Told me he would be over shortly, and it was shortly. Gave me an estimate (obviously looked at the front yard before I answered the door) appreciated as I do not need to be walked thru the steps.
I said lets do this, and 3 hours later (yard needed more work than usual) it was done. Go outside and it is drizzling rain. Just made it under the wire, Place looks Excellent! Gave him his due plus a nice tip. Recommend him because, who else comes out on New Years Eve towards 2 pm? for Anything?. Give this Guy and his team your Business. I know I will.

Got a quote to cut back an over grown Palo Verde tree.
He and his crew show up as promised and not only fixed the tree but cleaned up the the rest of the yard as well. They went above and beyond what was expected.

These guys do great work and very reasonable on pricing. I've had my front and back yard trimmed and cleaned up, palm trees trimmed and cactus removed from the backyard. We're also using them for our monthly yard maintenance. I would highly recommend them!!!
