Best Businesses in Arizona

Seldom do I award a five star for anything on Yelp but Yavapai Landscaping would rate a seven star rating were I able to do so. They are simply the best at what they do. The landscape advisor, Ted Ferris, came promptly at our first meeting.  Since we are new to the area, we needed advice about which plants were the best for this part of Arizona. He also recommended to us an esthetic design we would have never thought of on our own. He accommodated our every wish. He gave us a reasonable estimate in a few days.  We had to wait our turn to have our yard landscaped because this is a popular company but, when our turn came, their landscaper workers began work at 7 AM or earlier and worked at least 12 hours a day, six days a week. They worked under adverse circumstances of blazing hot sun and monsoons that drenched them almost everyday. They cheerfully and promptly made every change we ask of them. They attended to the smallest of detail. They obviously knew what they are doing. The ultimate result is our front yard and backyard exceeds our every expectation with landscaping and water features which are both functional and esthetically pleasing. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants a custom and comprehensive landscape solution.
I respect those who gave Yavapai Landscaping less than a good rating, however, our experience was quite the opposite from theirs. I am sure if they contacted Ted Ferris that he would be able to resolve their concerns.

I needed some tree evaluations and remembered that I had saved a flyer from a recent bulk mailer.
I called Liberty Tree Experts and set the ball in motion.
On the appointed day, my husband was home to meet  the tree expert.  This man arrived (on time!) and reviewed our 4 trees needs.
My husband was impressed with his professional appearance, kindness and expertise.
Regrettably, we can't say that for many companies.
He gave us an estimate for trimming that seemed fair and after reviewing his bid, we approved the work order.
The job was completed exactly as discussed.
The 4 men on site did a commendable job of cleaning all the debris from the tree trimming- even included the pool. Many companies don't take the time and remaining mess clogs the pool equipment.
Because I wasn't feeling well the day of the trimming, I was not able to check out the work when told they were finished and ready to leave.
The next day I checked our 4 trees. All looked great except for one tree that my neighbor always complains about- our olive tree.
When I emailed the company to explain the issue,
an immediate response was received. A Saturday visit, less than 3 days after my request, a crew from Liberty Tree Experts came and trimmed the offending branches overhang on neighboring sidewalk.

Other tree companies- more expensive and frequently leave trees looking lopsided.
I feel very comfortable recommending Liberty Tree- it was a very pleasant experience.

These guys are seriously a cut above the rest--took us three other companies before we found Heartwood, and these are the only folks we call and recommend.  

The owner is probably the most educated and informed arborist you'll come across, and he has clearly passed that knowledge down to the rest of the team.  Dakota in particular is really incredible: he's been out to our property a handful of times, and on top of being such a pleasant guy to talk to, he's an absolute wealth of knowledge--which he shares even when he's just over to give a free quote.  He's helped us identify, save, and keep alive a slew of plants as we do NOT have green thumbs ourselves, as well as gave us the only solution that worked for getting rid of a seemingly-invincible sissoo...also a shoutout to Kelly for helping with that one.

The fact that these guys are not only so good at what they do, but also care enough to help even if they determine no work needs to be done (unlike every other arborist we've dealt with, who charge for quotes and nickel-and-dime you for any scrap of information), is just such a rare thing to find these days.  They're good people and they've been lifesavers for us, so hopefully they'll be the same for you.

Ryan immediately responded to my request for quote to trim palm trees.
His quote was most reasonable of those I had received.  Ryan showed up on time and did an excellent job of trimming as well as cleaning up afterward.  I was impressed with his honesty as told me no need to trim 1 specific palm as said was not needed.  He also complimented work of prior trimmer.  That shows me he is a man of integrity.  I plan to make Ryan my permanent guy for palm and tree trimming.

Don't waste your time and money like I have - keep looking around for a lawn company that respects its customers and doesn't lie and threaten them.

Update (reply):  looks like you don't understand what it means to bear false witness against someone and then submit false documents on their behalf.  You will be held accountable for that evil should you act on it!  Careful.

We just had our 30 yr old elm fall in one if the recent storms. Chip off the Old Block has been so helpful in removing the fallen tree, fixing sprinkler damage and helping us replace the tree.  Thank you Jack and to the awesome crew, Ralphie and Claudio who worked like crazy in the heat removing and cleaning up the fallen tree!

Kevin The Tree Guy and his crew are professional, easy to talk with, and clearly enjoy their work. We have a lot of tall trees and they did a super job on every one of them. Also, Kevin is a good boss - he treats his crew with respect and kindness and they respond in kind - that's important to me and I salute him! Hire Kevin The Tree Guy - his prices are reasonable and start to finish, the work is done well, including the cleanup.
