Best Businesses in Arizona

Talked to Jason yesterday about doing an estimate today. He stated he would be by today and would call before coming over.

No call, no show. How do you expect to run a successful business this way? I will use someone else who appreciates their customers!

*Update* Jason called me and apologized after seeing my review. He legitimately seems to be a good guy and it's a shame we weren't able to do business. He explained a situation happened today and I am a very understanding person. That being said, you have to keep your agreements and if the company would have just called me, I would have been understanding of the situation.

We had been working with Chance and his company for about 5 years. At first his caliber of work was fantastic! We was responsive, have great quality control of his team, and we were very happy. Over time his quality had faded. There seems to be a lack of attention to detail. Essentially we are just paying him to come and cut the grass and use a leaf blower. Occasionally we will see that bush maintenance has been done but not regularly, and we have noticed that there is watering issues. We have communicated the water issue and it has yet to be resolved. There is flooding constantly in our yard, and sprinkler heads are never checked unless we ask them to come back to fix it, but by the time they return, other sprinklers are broken and there is zero communication about it.

For me, the biggest issue is that the crew keeps leaving gates propped open. I understand that accidents can happen, but I've had to communicate this issue in the past. Lately, for months now, I have come home to discover our gates propped open and our dogs trying to escape. We have two small schnauzers, and they are older dogs, and it seems that Chances team does not listen when we beg them to be more careful.

Today, our dogs were nowhere to be found and again the gate left wide open. It's a self latch gate, so the yard guys had to move our rocks around to force the gate to stay open. I texted the owner, Chance and stated that we cannot have people working here that do not respect our home and family and that our pets are missing and that among other issues, our missing dogs was reason enough to no longer work with his company.

His response: my apologies, I'll remove you from the schedule.

We found our dogs, thankfully! My frustration mainly stems from a perceived lack of empathy, customer service, and own ship of the problem that this company has caused. I would have hoped that after years of work, there would be more of a response to the compromised safety of our pets. To be fair, I did respond to Chances text in a rude manner, and then he texted back expressing concern for our pets, but I felt it was too late.

At the end of the day, there is both good and bad in working with this company.

Good: he is professional when he responds to our concerns. He has competitive pricing. His workers are reliable by showing up when scheduled.

Needs improvement: lacks control of his workers quality. Lacks follow through on our flooding issue that has lasted almost 6 months. His service is not standardized such as trees/bushes are not always trimmed. Does not ensure our feedback is followed, hence his workers continued to let the watering go unfixed and compromise our dogs safety.

Overall, we felt that we were just paying for regularly scheduled grass cutting and leaf blowing, while we believed that more could have been done. We wanted to have a service where we didn't have to worry about yard maintenance, and we felt that we were not getting that on top of the team not being careful with our pets safety. I know other companies can be unreliable and cancel last minute. Chance's company always showed up, and if they couldn't, it was communicated. So, it's a balance of what you want from your yard maintenance company. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good fit for us any more.

Really good overall experience. AMS probably the cheapest option, but their quality was great and Brian's willingness to help me understand everything was amazing.

Had them do a somewhat intensive irrigation repair and lawn leveling job. We had some miscommunication on whether full yard seeding was involved in the quote, but Brian was willing to work with me on price in return. He could have said too bad, but made a point to make sure we were satisfied.

Troy helped our family out during a challenging time amd our yard looks great!

My husband is a double amputee, and this winter he also had major shoulder surgery. Yard work has gotten harder and harder for him, but this last winter it became impossible. We had several broken sprinklers throughout the yards, and a half-dead lawn, and it was all my daughter and I could do to keep most of the weeds at bay. The timer was also broken on my garden soaker hose system!

We scheduled Troy and his crew to come out. They were one of the few companies that actually committed to a day and time and showed up. I had tried several before.

We were out of the house most of the day and I was actually shocked to get a phone call in the afternoon that everything was good to go! Troy wouldn't give me a price over the phone. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap with all the extra repairs they had done on top of what I had asked (finding hidden sprinkler lines, fixing those, etc!)

The next day he and his wife came by and told us they wanted to help us out since they knew we were having difficulties, and wouldn't take any money at all for the job!!! We were completely floored, but also very grateful.

I am not exactly sure what extra magic Troy put on this lawn because it stayed green all winter and that has never happened before. On the other hand maybe it is the miracle of a functioning sprinkler system! Look how green it is!

Troy's team did a fantastic job cleaning up my weed-filled yard. The 90 day guarantee is also a big relief I can't recommend enough!

Troy and his team removed the grass from my yard and replaced our irrigation line. They did excellent work. Troy was quick to respond when I had questions. He was also upfront about the costs.

Found this company on Yelp. Requested a quote on a Saturday and within 10 minutes received a response. Shane was able to come by two hours later and give me a quote in person for trimming my 4 palms. He worked with me and my schedule and they were out first thing Monday morning. Very professional and were taking all the Covid safety measures seriously. Did a great job with both trimming and cleaning up after. Made sure I was satisfied with their work before leaving as well. I will definitely be using their services again and highly recommend.

On time and removed a very large 7x7 foot tree stump in less than an hour. Will be using service again in the future.

I hired Arizona Tree Team to remove 2 massive trees and ended up with a great price to remove 7 trees including stump removal.  
They were on time with super nice equipment and crew who completed the job in one day.  Upon completion they left my property completely clean and raked.  I would not hesitate to recommend their service.

I wish I got a before photo because these guys are as good as it gets - they showed up promptly this morning & we had an issue with one trees - they were supposed to do a whole job but ended up just being able to do our palms. Not only we're they super accommodating but they did the palms beautifully and cleaned out our pool of any and all additional debris (our pool sits right below the palms & it gets covered) and kept the mess from going in our neighbors yard. I've truly never felt more taken care of & could not express my deep gratitude to Noel & the AZ trimming team. Will 100% be using them again in the future!

My experience with Joanna was not good!  She wasted a lot of my time just because of lack of communication.  Not returning messages and not taking the time to keep me posted when she was running VERY LATE, which is just a lack of common courtesy and kindness.  When she did finally get here for a bid, she started out very defensive.  When she finally de-stressed, I explained that I had one more bid to get and then I would let her know either way [common courtesy shown to her].  I did so, but I had to follow up a 2nd time, asking her to call me to set up a time to get started, but NO PHONE CALL.  I guess her company doesn't need the business.  Hope the owner agrees with her.  I just can't believe people anymore!  But, better I know up front what she is all about.

Set up 2 appointments to review property and landscaping needs. No call, no email, no show to both. Not worth a 3rd disappointment.

Median's did an outstanding job on our backyard project. Not only are they kind and compassionate to work with, but they went above and beyond to get the job done within one day, which was not an easy task! They are professional, respectful, honest and I can't wait to have them back again for future projects and maintenance. Thank you Medina Landscaping...you guys made our year!!!

Excellent communication and an expert team who really know trees. Sam is a great guy who is also very environmentally conscious, making sure trees get a second life as local artwork or responsibly sourced lumber, rather than ending up in a landfill as wood chips. Would definitely recommend him and his team for any tree trimming and removal needs.

Sucks ruined my tree have a barren yard now. so-called arborist came don't know how many years experience not enough .want to sell the house now. There is no shade from stripped tree now! House is hot now .thx for the higher power bill. Wanted to clean it up and shape tree . Not gut it to a trunk..The only good for cutting stuff if it's already dead on the ground . id  just saving your money go bye yourself yard equipment ,rent a trailer take your time do it yourself or be there to direct people what you want done . I hate driving up to my yard now. ...

The guys are always reliable and do a good job! We have them come every two weeks to do maintenance landscaping on our yard. They've been helping us out for over a year. Highly recommend!!

We have been in the Valley since 1999 and Team Century West started out with a bang.
It was almost like our property was their property. Trust us that they addressed nooks around the home where others either glossed over or never addressed.
Hoping this will continue as due to C-19, we witnessed their efforts. They even raked, although like most, the Crew rely on far too much use of their gas blowers.
That said, Century West & Team Ivan are a welcome change to what most of us have become accustomed to with these fly by the seat companies.
