I was a customer for several years until June. The company has done my yard cleanup more than a dozen times and has done the queen palms and ficus 3-4 times.

Mike the owner is very knowledgeable about trees! The first time we met, he walked through the yard telling me about all the plants and trees and quoted me a flat rate of $175 to do quarterly cleanup (big trees are extra, once or twice a year.) Wow! So reasonable. He even gave me his cell number. It sounded great. The crew did a great job most of the time, especially on the big trees.

But there was an utter lack of communication from the company, and making appointments was unbelievably difficult. No one answers the office phone, EVER. So I had to leave a message every time. Usually I left 2-3 before I get a return call from the receptionist. I asked many, many times to be put on the schedule every 3 months automatically. This NEVER happened.

At least twice they didn't come at the 3-month mark like I asked, then charged me extra because the plants were overgrown. Once, in their absence my lime tree died. I asked for information on a new one several times over 4 MONTHS before getting a call back. By then I was fed up so I didn't bother returning the call.

The last job they will ever do for me was in June, 2 months late, and the job was sloppy. NONE of it was done the way we agreed on, the way they had cut it for years, and one 18 sq ft section was missed entirely. The company blamed me for not answering the door to tell them what I wanted. My absence had never been a problem before.

THEN I received the January & June receipts at the same time for $250 and $300. The $300 receipt mentioned my ficus, which they didn't even touch. When I asked about the amount I was told the cost of business was going up, and that actually we are charging all customers a $300 minimum. I said I would not pay more than the previously agreed amount of $175 for each cleanup. I was politely told I would receive a refund.

In her emails and on the phone the receptionist repeatedly said Mike wasn't able to get ahold of you or meeting with you has been a problem. She even wrote something to this effect on some of the receipts. Like trying to make me feel bad for that one unreturned phone call about the tree. Mike never called or emailed me before or since that one call. The office didn't call unless they were returning my umpteenth voicemail. No one ever asked me to be home during the cleanups or complained when I wasn't. I responded to their emails the same day, and paid promptly upon request. And certainly no one EVER tried to talk to me about a rate increase. So I have no idea what (or even when) she was referring to, or why she would keep bringing it up, and I think it's really rude.

I am dismayed at the five-star reviews here. I WISH I'd had a five-star experience. It would have saved a lot of headaches (and probably my lime tree.)

I needed some clean up (weeds, bushes, etc.) in our front yard, so I called them up. They were able to come to the house the same day to look things over and give me a quote. All the work was done the next day, and the yard looked even better than I expected!  They did great work and got it done quickly. We even talked about some future projects.

fast service, very good job did more than contracted will be coming monthly or so for sure. very reasonable price for the quality work they did was outstanding will be my landscaper for as long as he is doing landscaping.

I have nothing but positives to say about Eric and The Ultimate Tree Service.  

Eric has been servicing my home in south Tempe for the past two years and has done a wonderful job of keeping the trees neatly shaped, trimmed away from the house/roof, and also trims + skins the palm trees.

Eric is very responsive to phone calls and provides top notch customer service.  A recent example of this is that I had a large cactus topple over during the recent heavy rainstorms.  I called Eric on Sunday afternoon and he came out first thing Monday morning to assess and figure out a solution.

Despicable scum. Their cherrypicker just pulled our phone line down while I was underneath it. The driver and crew were well aware, and still sped off...I wonder why? I can't imagine using such a dangerous and careless company for landscaping.

The Ultimate Tree Service has been maintaining my trees for 2 years.  After interviewing and getting 3 estimates these guys were almost half of the other estimates.  I have one tree that leans and they have helped me maintain it so it doesn't have to be cut down. They were prompt did a great job.  When the job was completed they did a great job of cleaning up all the debris. They have also maintained all the trees at my church and have done a great job there as well.  I highly recommend them.  It is a small business worth supporting.

These guys did a fantastic job - fair pricing, quick, efficient, and on time. What more could you ask for?

Look no further! Juan and his team did a fantastic job on our full yard landscaping. They removed 10+ trees/plants, planted new plants and put down rocks. The end result is beautiful. The crew was on time, reliable and professional. Reasonably priced. Juan even set up the sprinkler system. Found our new go-to for landscaping, 100% recommend!

Had Sergio come out and quote new sod (summer grass) in my back yard last year. Have trees in the back so there is some shade. He said he would put sod down that would be pet resistant and would be fine in my back yard. He would guarantee it for a year. Well it did not come back this year. So I reached out to him. He will not respond. Now I will have to sue him to try and get my money back.My back yard is all dirt now. Awful to look at.Their are many other issues when I tried to hire him for my weekly landscaping. He was contentiously trying to Rip me off.

Please save your self from a con artist. Don' bother with this guy. He will over charge you and not deliver.

So I called this morning to get some last minute lawn service done to the house.  After reading several reviews I was aware that you pay for the full hour regardless if it takes 10 minutes or 59 minutes.

I spoke with Sergio on the phone and indicated I wanted just a one hour service call and to just do what they could in that time.  The three man crew came to the house, we walked the property and I informed him several times that I just want one hour at which point they started to do the work.  They where very polite and did a great job.  The yard looks fantastic.

I am reserving the 5 star review they should get until I see the credit card charge.  When I asked for a receipt they told me they didn't have one at which time I confirmed just one hour correct?, to which he replied yes.  Once I see that I was indeed charged the correct amount, one hour, I will come back and modify the review.  If for some reason I can't change my star rating, I will amend this post either way.

As promised I am back here to change my rating.  I was billed the proper amount and cant say anything negative about the experience.  Thank you for everything.

The men who came were prompt and worked quickly. However the price I was quoted was for an hour, and chemical that would treat the yard for 6 months. They charged me for a full hour even though they only worked for half that time, and after 3 weeks the weeds were coming back. I called to complain and they said I only paid for chemical that killed what it touched. I explained that I was given a price for treatment to take care of the yard for several months, and his response was, We don't treat with pre-emergent in that time of year. I don't recommend these guys at all.

Sergio's crew did a great job!! I needed them quickly after I had some tenants move out and they were able to accommodate my schedule and did a fantastic job on cleaning up our backyard and even exceeded my expectations. They then came back the next day and spread 10 tons of rock in my backyard. Highly recommend! Excellent job and very accommodating. Thanks Sergio!

Bob White came yesterday 12/7/17 gave me an estimate to remove tree from backyard. Said he could have a crew first thing the next morning. Crew arrived on schedule went to work. Removal made mess of the pool, crew cleaned the pool as part of their clean up procedure. Completely satisfied beyond expectation with Aachen Tree Service. Highly recommend.

The team of Garnicas Landscaping did an amazing job!!!!! I had a great deal of overgrown weeds and bushes that needed trimming. They did such a great job. I will be hiring them again. I am posting before and after pictures. Thanks again, gentlemen!

Had a great experience with Garnicas.  They showed up when they said they would and did the job well.  They provided fair pricing for both removal of trees and shrubs and installing new plants that we requested. The crew members were all polite and hardworking.  It is nice to find a company that is reliable and fair. We will be using them again in the future.

We contacted Juan at Happy Grounds about a sprinkler leak in our backyard, and he came out quickly to check out the issue. He identified the problem and gave us two options to stop the leak. Even though we chose the simple, cheap fix, Juan was polite and professional. Happy Grounds did a great job, and we will look to use them again in the future.

Eric is always the best!  I'd had him working on my trees for several years and am always very satisfied with his service and his crew.

These folks are very knowledgeable about the work they perform. We had 2 ficus trees that were almost dead. The tech diagnosed the problem was a fungus and quoted a treatment to kill the fungus. While the treatment was not cheap, it cost much less than replacing the trees. Now instead of losing leaves the trees are showing signs of new growth and appear to be on the road to recovery. They also deep root feed my palms. They are growing like crazy with lush foliage. If you want to protect the investment you have in your trees you need to talk with the folks at Valley Tree Feeders!

Used Garnica's for a few months and they did an decent job but they weren't the most reliable.  Missed many things you want in a maintenance landscaper- checking lights, drips, cleaning debris from under the trees and bushes, and the final straw was that I needed granite and twice they didn't order and do the work as promised.  It was time to move on.  If you use them, you need to manage them.

We have now used their services twice and have been extremely pleased both times.  They arrived as scheduled and brought a crew of 3 men each time.  We use them to get rid of our weeds and to put down a weed spray when they're done.  Both times, we were given a flat rate (not hourly).  I have no idea how the pricing compares to other places, but to us, they're worth every penny.  They do in one hour what would take us weeks to do.  They get every weed, clean up very well after, and today, even trimmed some dead pieces off our palm tree complimentary.  We will definitely continue to use them.
