I think its fair to say that a large percentage of remodeling projects end with either a desire for divorce, to torch your contractors truck and office, or both. Not so with our most recent significant remodel,
Working with our contractor, Jerry Nowell, his office and the highly skilled and good natured subs he employed, resulted in an experience and outcome that surpassed our expectations. Jerry is a standup guy who was always keeping us updated on all aspects of the project including the good, the bad and, on occasional, ugly. If there were hold ups he was very quick to let us know why and what he had done to address the related issue.. No surprises. When we found ourselves questioning how we wanted to proceed on some aspect of the project, his experience and good eye proved invaluable in the decision process. On many occasions he helped steer us clear of making unnecessarily expensive decisions ,often showing greater concern for our stated budget than we.
Jerry has the unique gift of bringing calm to even the most hectic and potentially stressful aspects of the process. In short we can't recommend him highly enough and or begin to express our true gratitude for his professionalism, honesty and patience throughout the process. Jerry, Yvonne and all the subs, sincerest thanks.

This place is amazing. They have a terrific variety of tiles from all around the world, at very reasonable prices. They have designers, such as Deb, who helped me transform my bathrooms into beautiful places to be. I will recommend them, and Deb, to all.

We had a cable wiring plate that had come out of the wall. All the wiring was hanging out and we were not able to get it back in.
We contacted Marcos from the Contreras Services and sent him pictures. He was able to figure out what had to be done and came out the next afternoon.
This was one of the best experiences we have had with having someone come out and work on our home. Marcos was efficient and knew exactly what to do. He was also very respectful and kind and told us what our options could be. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We did a full remodel on our house. The original contractor kind of bailed on us and didn't finish some of the work. We called several companies to finish the job for us. Zach and Terrell finished our project in a matter of days. They came out and gave us an estimate and we were fortunate they could fit us in between jobs.
They installed a custom built in electric fireplace with designer touches. The work turned out amazing. In the past year we've probably had over 50 different companies in our house from plumbers to contractors to painters, etc. Peters Family Construction would get our #1 ranking out of all of them.

Continuing from 12/07/17...The first time my husband and I met with Darren he was very helpful in educating us about the difference between rectified and unrectified wood plank tile. Derren made it known he preferred to work with unrectified tile, but would still take on a job and complete quality work using rectified tile. Derren did say he would charge 50 cents more per square foot if we chose rectified tile. Derren provided us with vendors he uses for the tile and even suggested a tile he had previously installed. After a couple of weeks of tile hunting we chose a Marazzi porcelain RECTIFIED tile. I called Derren and told him we were okay with paying the extra cost for the rectified tile. Derren assured us the Marazzi tile was a good quality tile and we would be happy with the results.
Well, the tile comes in, Derren goes to pick up the tile, but returns to our home saying the tile is defective. Derren believes the tile is "bowed" and encourages us to choose new tile. Derren again suggests the tile he previously installed for another customer. We told Derren we would go look for new tile if the tile we selected was defective. I ask Derren about the return and refund on the tile and if we will have any issues. Derren advised he would speak with the vendor and call me. I never heard from Derren, although I left him at least one message. I would have thought this was a priority being the flooring in our home had already been removed and the amount of money we paid for the tile. No call.
My husband and I go see the vendor and explain to a very helpful gal we needed to find out about returning the defective tile. The vendor tells us there will be a restocking fee of $700-750. I questioned the fee, as Derren said the tile was defective. The gal immediately said, "it's not defective." Long story short, the vendor had contacted the manufacturer's local representative who came out, looked at the tile and said the tile was better than specs. The gal also said they have sold over 80,000sqft of the tile we selected and they have not had any returned! I have a flashback to checking Derren's Registar of Contractor record (for Harper Stone and Tile) and realize this should have been my first light bulb moment and clue NOT to hire Derren! His license had previously been expired or suspended for various reasons. Anyway, my husband calls Derren from the vendor. No answer. Message left for Derren to call.
On our way home Derren calls. He seems bewildered as to why the tile couldn't be returned without a restocking fee and offers to pay $400. Obviousy, he never attempted to call the vendor about the return or he would have already been aware of the fee or maybe he just thought we were stupid, would pay the fee and find another tile. With that being said, we offered Derren an out and told him we would understand if he didn't want to do the job. No hard feelings. Well, Derren's response was that he needed the job. Or, was it he needed to pick up his saw that was still at our home? ( Light bulb moment number two)!!
The next day, Derren shows up late and meets with my husband. My husband gives Derren a second opportunity to opt out of the job with no hard feelings and addresses our expectations of a quality installation, rectified tile or otherwise. Derren advised he was still willing to complete the job. (Mind you, Derren's tile saw had been set up in our garage for the past couple of days while the job was on hold). Derren continues his work, throws float on the floor in our bedroom and does not smooth out the edges so there is an obvious lip when it drys. Derren mentioned his grinder was broke. Derren sits in the bedroom and purposely works vigorously on chipping the tile and then shows my husband how it chips. Derren quietly walks outside, packs his saw and equipment. My husband confronts Derren asking him if he was leaving. Derren says yes. I don't believe Derren had any intentions of completing the job. I'm pretty sure he just wanted to get his saw back!! Derren is told we wanted a refund for work not performed, a reasonable request. An agreement was made on the amount to be returned. We received partial payment that night, but as previously stated in original review, we waited for the balance to be paid after Christmas because Derren said he did not have the money. (But yet, it was okay for us to have our home in shambles at Christmas time! I wouldn't call us difficult people, would you? Derren believes we are)!
So, this was the gist of it! There were a couple of other shenanigans, but I was out of typing space, so had to shorten up the horrible experience!
In the end, no thanks to Derren (Harper Stone and Tile), but we did end up with beautiful floors and a quality installation! Should anyone need an honest and reputable contractor who completes quality work, please feel free to message me! Oh, and we saved money too!!

They did an outstanding job on the concrete job for our sport court. They kept us informed on their time to start the job and what was planned for each day. We already have another job we will be calling them again real soon. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic painting company!! I just recently had them paint the exterior of my house and I couldn't be happier with the results. They repaired some water damaged stucco on the side of my house, and fixed my back patio drywall. My house is 1,649 sq. ft. and they had it power washed, scrubbed, re-stucco'd, and painted all in two days. Mark the owner was on site day one and explained everything to me. Very reasonably priced, 3 year warranty on the work performed, and they cleaned up everything after the job was all finished. A few days later I had neighbors stopping by to come see the work they did and they were all impressed. One neighbor couldn't believe they'd had the whole house painted in two days. I would highly recommend Arrowhead Painting. I chose them after shopping around different contractors. Nobody could beat their price or customer service. I'm going to have them back out to paint my block fencing after Summer.

let's just say has the worst platform for filling in a review. The next paragraph is me finishing the first one:
Irving had a bit of difficulty with my slider because the frame was old and slightly bent. Nonetheless, he was able to install the door so that it latched. He had to make frames for four of my windows because they are not standard frames. He did a fine job. I recommend him.

I hired Infinity Pro services to complete a tiling job of our entire home located in San Tan Valley. The completed job came out as promised. I also referred the owner (Sean) to our neighbor, who had infinity pro redo their shower tile flooring. But before I hired this company to install our new flooring, I expressed to Sean that I was in need of a company that was willing to complete another full house of tiling which was located 6 miles down the street, which then turns into Florence. He said he would be willing to complete both of my tiling job. Fast forward a few months, we reached out to Sean for a quote, it took him weeks for a response. And in his text message he stated "my guys don't want to make the drive" meaning his workers. So just an FYI infinity pro services isn't willing to do work in San Tan Valley/Florence.

Great handyman and friendly. Had a ceiling fan that was broken and the wiring was a bit funky from previous homeowner. He came by, figured out the wiring problems, and installed a ceiling fan. Fair price and didn't bait and switch or anything like that. In fact, already hiring him to do another wiring job in my house this coming week! Highly recommend him.

Ali is knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, responsive, honest and puts the customer's interests first. Though his store is small, he carries a large variety of well-priced flooring samples and more. I bought beautiful wood flooring from him as well as granite counter tops and outdoor tile. His installers and office staff are courteous and professional as well. He has an artistic eye and is quick to help find solutions to customer's concerns and problems. I highly recommend AK Brands and will work with them again.

I used Larry and the crew at AZ Floor to do laminate and carpeting at my mother's home, and laminate at my home several years ago. They were less expensive than everywhere else I looked and the crew was professional, clean and quick for both jobs. They even came in on short notice about a year later and fixed a portion of the floor after I had a small flood. I was so impressed, I called him again to redo the flooring in the rest of my house this year. Little did I know that the laminate I wanted to extend into other rooms is no longer manufactured, but he went on the hunt and found the last boxes in the country in a warehouse! I highly recommend AZ Floor!

KGB did several jobs on our house from painting to adding on a whole extra section to the back of our house. They were beyond amazing! One of the best things I loved about KGB is they communicated everything with us so we knew exactly what was going on at every stage of the remodel both physically and financially, which is not a quality you find often in companies. Everything they did was extremely professional and I truly felt valued and respected as a customer. I would very highly recommend KGB contracting!

I would never use or recommend this company. They had the worst customer service, refused to give us an itemized list, charged us 3,000 more than quoted price, did really crappy work which had to continually get repaired. Went way over time schedule by a month. Showed up on their schedule and not ours. Never asked our opinion on what color grout, or type of baseboard we wanted. Owners employees clogged our toilets repeatedly with napkins and poo. Smoked in our house and used our back patio as the dumpster because the large one was full for over a month. The owner of the company never checked on his employees who also left live electrical wires exposed and almost burned a hole in our house sweating a pipe without our consent. Worst experience of our lives.

I researched at great length to find a flooring company to work with and settled on A2Z because they had excellent reviews, were locally owned and operated, and came back with a good estimate. On the positive side (the reason for the 2 star review rather than one star), the floor looks great! Unfortunately, the trim does not. Communication from them was great when they were trying to get my money. When I had questions, I often had to ask multiple times to get any answers; answers that were often not accurate (particularly in relation to timeline). I flew in from out of state specifically to be here when the project was to be completed so I could see what I was paying for before paying. I was informed that "a crew" would be working on my project that was supposed to take about 3-4 days for demo and prep and 2-3 days for installation. The "crew" was one person for the first 6 days. I was then assured that "more guys" would be on the job on the 7th day. One more guy showed up. Finally on the 8th day (the day the project should have been wrapping up), three guys showed up to work. It took them 6 days to "finish" the job. The first four pictures below show what they claimed to be finished work. The last 3 photos are after they fixed everything. Typically a job is not complete until it is done correctly and to the customer's satisfaction Not so with this company. They insisted I make my final payment (covering the last 50% of the installation labor) prior to them fixing the terribly trim work. They did reluctantly come back out to my house to fix their work on August 3rd (because I was not willing to pay for a job that was not yet complete). I informed them that I would be traveling and out of cell reception for a couple weeks, but that I would contact them as soon as I got to the house to see their work so I could
make the final payment. Their "communication" at this point bordered on harassment (multiple voicemails and texts demanding final payment before I could see if they fixed the issues). They did, in fact, clean many of the black smudges off the walls and reset the corner pieces to be more aligned with the baseboards. I have paid in full at this point but there are still a couple areas of concern. I will update this review if and when they make things right.

Add me to the list of people who wished they looked at Yelp vs other review sites.
This company is an absolute nightmare. Granted, I am pleased with 99% of the final product (still waiting weeks for the last 1% as usual with them). The materials they use are great, and everything looks beautiful. That is the end of any compliment for this company.
You think you are getting a one-stop shop where all of your anxiety is comforted by one company who will advocate to get your project completed. Instead, you have to personally deal with several different sub-contractors who all contact you on their own schedule that is different from what HHF tells you.
My entire demo and install was supposed to take approx. 2.5 weeks. I am now over two months from the start date without a fully finished product.
The original sales/design consultant was anything but a design consultant. He was friendly, though, and convinced us we would like LVP over what we were shopping for, tile (we are pleased). He gave rough ideas and opinions of things to do, but none of this was documented anywhere, so when the sub-contracted installers come, you have to be ready to answer design questions when you don't even really understand your options.
The demo itself took several days longer than they expected, and instead of sending more people to get done closer to on schedule, they sometimes sent only 1 person and once sent nobody. They claim their demo is "less dust" but don't promise "dust-free" which is fair. But they put almost no effort into actually producing less dust or protecting your home/belongings. They put up minimal plastic only in the room they were working in while the rest of the house gets coated. Then they move to the next room and hang plastic. I used their plastic rolls over night to cover all of the things in my house that were clearly collecting dust after one day, i.e., everything. They completely blasted one of my rooms with dust without any care at all. It looked like a war zone in there.
Their demo guys also managed to knock an unused water valve behind my fridge loose that started leaking and caused a small flood in my kitchen. Their installers had to have seen noticeable moisture and installed right over it. We later had to have this ripped up and replaced which took forever within this process.
Progress is slow and you will have to call the office daily to figure out what is going on. They won't know either, but they will promise to call you back, and then you get to see if that's true (usually not).
You will run into surprises because nobody is keeping you informed. Like when our sub-contractor floor installer matter-of-factly gave us about 45 minutes notice before we were to not walk anywhere on our downstairs level for several hours. We had to pack and bolt like refugees over this nonsense. Later, a similar surprise when we were told there would be no way we could use our stairs for 24 hours. They figured out a way around this, but we had to facilitate it ourselves, of course.
They will run out of materials because they didn't order enough and then have to order more, only to still have not ordered enough and have to order yet again. This will make you insane.
And today I find out from one of the sub-contractors that I was expecting to arrive today to finish one last issue that he and 7 other contractors haven't even been getting paid, so they are refusing work now from HHF. But he specifically asked HHF to inform me, and of course, they did not.
This company is absolutely garbage, and it sounds like their days are numbered. Who knows? Don't buy into their marketing. I have yet to get my final inspection and who knows what it will be like to try to get repairs under their worry-free guarantee. It's a nightmare. Don't use this company. Yesterday was 9 weeks into a 3 week job, and I hope it will end someday.
