We have talked to Pat 3 times now for separate issues. He has always picked up his cell phone immediately, even late at night. He tries to problem solve for us on the phone before having to come out, which is SUPER nice to do because he could have easily come out and charged us for. For example, he helped us repair our garage disposal over the phone (it was clogged). We are super impressed by his ethical approach and will remain committed customers. Thank you!

They replaced our old hot water heater with a tankless.  Fast, easy, great experience overall.   From the time of first connection, they were here installing in less than 12hrs!  WOW!

My garbage disposal broke. I figured it could likely he repaired but since garbage disposals are cheap, I figured I would just have it replaced. I called a little before 8am and someone was sent to me by 10:30. I asked for a quote before scheduling a plumber to come out and was told they did not offer phone quotes. Understandable.

The only, and biggest, issue was once the plumber arrived he quoted me $895 to replace a garbage disposal.

I have never in my life heard of a garbage disposal replacement costing that much. I immediately said no. He offered to try to clean it out, I asked how much that would be and was told $395. Again, absolutely not.

I really struggled writing this because while everyone was extremely nice, they were extremely timely, their pricing feels extremely predatory and outlandish. Almost offensive.

I ordered a replacement from home depot for $125 post-tax and paid a plumber from Task Rabbit less than $100.

Look past their charm and avoid overpaying for simple services.

UPDATE: Turned out that I didn't even need a replacement. Lol. My handyman was able to unclog my cheap garbage disposal in 15 minutes.

But your business choices to provide free quotes has nothing to do with me. I simply do not care if you paid for parking or paid your staff hourly to come do an estimate. $900 is absurd. And $400 to unclog is as well.

Now you are commenting ridiculous things under my review. My downtown condo did not need any new pipes, I never even talked to the man about to cost of the garbage disposal, even with quality disposal, $900 was absurd, no one bent over backwards.

Removing one star because there seems to be confusion around what I can AFFORD and what is reasonable.

These guys were great!  I had a small leak that finally began to show through my ceiling.  They showed up on time, called before beginning any work, and called again to confirm before cutting a hole in my ceiling.  They also discussed price prior to starting.  They had to return the next day to complete the job, and again, showed up on time.  When I showed them my $50 off coupon, they went ahead and gave me $100 off.  Got the job done and offered excellent customer service.

The guys were great. Showed up on time and did not mess around. Will be doing business again for sure. Thanks again CS&DP!

Jose is a pro. Extremely accommodating and professional - he doesnt waste any time  offering solutions that clearly wont work. We were desperate as we had a dishwasher that was leaking on our neighbors ceiling[+ without dishwasher!]
He helped solve this issue within the time he had quoted [after appearing on time downtown]
We then had another issue shortly afterwards and yet again Jose did his upmost to accommodate and went above and beyond to fix the issue [pipes not to code] and ran into other problems [stud walls] +over time wise but stayed to ensure he finished the job.
Windy City is reasonable price wise and v fair. His side kick Brian is extremely amusing and like Jose extremely efficient - I would have no hesitation in recommending Jose and Windy City Plumbing and using them [hopefully not!] in the future.

Extremely professional.  Plumber called and asked if it was ok to come earlier than scheduled (YES!) and was extremely professional and organized.  Came in and fixed our toilet seal and tuned up our toilet while he was at it.  Extremely clean, courteous, and excellent work.  Highly recommend.

I had several Plumbing Companies look at and bid on my project; completion of a custom shower so installation of the trim and fixtures. It was however a complex custom shower including steam, a ceiling rain shower unit, body spays and more. During the bid process I encountered indifferent, snarky and demeaning plumbers who were not even familiar with the new/ current fixtures. Not Kevin and company, they are current, up to date and knew exactly what to do. Kevin took on the challenge with out blinking and was genuinely and sincerely interested in the challenging job and making us thrilled with the results. The attention to detail and the quality of work delivered was exceptional. When they saw a potential problem they figured out a way to move past it quickly. They were transparent about cost, arrived on time and were a most excellent value based on some of the bids I recieved. Don't trust your home to some out dated, snarky, indifferent plumbing company, no need to call anyone else.

By far the best plumbers in the business! We were leaving out of town and our basement backed up and they were able to send someone out same day. They never disappoint, are so friendly, knowledgeable and get the job done. Kevin and how crew are the best! We will never go elsewhere, thank you Green Tech!!

I had a leak under my kitchen sink and was in need of a new faucet. I was able to easily get in touch with Captain Rooter and they sent someone out the same day at exactly the requested time. They even came early. Adam was able to quickly install a new faucet and fix the leak. Highly recommend them if you need some quick work done!

I worked with Darrell to schedule the appointment with Enis (technician) who was great and helped solve my electricity challenges. During the visit he worked clean, was quick to work, and explained what he was doing to teach me. We ran into one challenge (strange wiring) and Enis was able to work through it to provide a great creative alternative.

The project was not a simple plumbing repair; a cold water line beneath a small area of our garage floor had burst before we purchased our home and washing the car and watering a portion of our lawn was challenging.  Only two of the four contractors came-out to even look at the project.  
After a little emailing back and forth I had a cost estimate (reasonable) and scheduled date.  The two plumbers showed up on time and completed the project in half a day; their work was excellent.  They cleaned-up fairly well, but their shoe covers were a little dirty and have to hire someone else to repair the concrete floor.  That's why I rated them a four instead of a five.  While they didn't have as many reviews as others, I won't let that be the deciding factor.  I'd recommend them...

CJ had to deal with several problems in my newly purchased house:  fixed my powder room water pressure problem and installed new faucet, fixed my shower fixture which was not installed by the contractor properly, installed a new sump pump with backup system, installed clothes washer, and put in new hot water heater.  Everything was top notch and they were very focused on getting things done properly.  They are honest, highly competent and responsible and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others!  I finally have plumbing that works in this house!

Mike and his partner repaired the work done by two separate Angie's list plumbers (one sent to repair the errors of the first) who removed my outside faucet pipe through a wall behind a built-in television console, and then shoved it back through the bricks without any attachment, leaving leaking water inside my home.  The resulting water seepage into the cabinet was causing significant damage.  Mike responded to my urgent call, notified me he would have to cut inside the cabinet to fix the problem.  I agreed and he then made fine interior cuts that are not visible from outside the cabinet and are easily repairable inside.  In short order, he then replaced the pipe to perfection!  He also repaired the upstairs sink faucet the prior plumbers had left open pouring into the cabinet also!

Five stars all the way! I had a clogged shower drain. Called Juan yesterday.  He answered right away. Offered to come same day, but next day was better for me. Stated he would be out between 8-9am and was there ready to work. Fixed our problem quickly,  and gave a good price for the work done. Also gave me tips to prevent problem from reoccurring,  so he was also honest. I am not wishing for any more plumbing issues, but if I will choose his company again.

The best plumber you'll ever hire.  On time, trustworthy, etc.  Read the other reviews - they're all spot on.
