Pat is... THE MAN! I had a very crazy plumbing problem with a noise in my wall. It sounded like the worst water hammer I (and even Pat after sending him videos) had ever heard. I thought for sure I would need a plumber to come out. Pat went back and forth on the phone, we traded pics/videos of the problem and he was able to coach me through what I should do to fix the problem. Note: I have never met Pat before or even used his services before.... I found him on yelp and he was the nicest person to go through everything he did to help me solve my plumbing problem (At no cost!!!!). It has been 3 weeks since Pat talked me through the fix, and I have not heard the noise in my wall since. If I ever have a need for plumbing service, or find someone that does near the Chicago/North area, I will immediately refer them to Pat!

Mac is THE GUY to call if you need a new hot water heater. He's hardworking, extremely experienced, and gets the job done well. I called him after we discovered a very small leak in our tank, which could have turned into a big issue, and he was out the next morning to replace our hot water heater. I'm so grateful to the other Yelp reviewers for taking the time to recommend him. On top of everything he's a super nice guy. And his price was competitive. If you need a new hot water heater, give Mac a call. No need to look any further.

We had issues with dishwasher which overflowed onto our floor and nasty water was coming up through the sink drains.  Pete and Noah came out and were extremely professional and took care of the clog in no time.  They also let me know that our garbage disposal flange was rusted and would eventually needed to be replaced.  He didn't pressure me at all to replace just as an FYI which was super helpful.  If we ever need a plumber again, we'll  be sure to contact Rescue Plumbing.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. Definitely took the customer service to another level with that. Plus, the 10% coupon helped..

We noticed water leaking from our garbage disposal on Sunday evening and contacted Scott based on his Yelp reviews. He responded quickly and made time for us with short notice. He asked great questions and for pics of the sink ahead of time so he was prepared with all the replacement parts right away. He was fast, professional and gave great recommendations for improving the safety of the wiring to our disposal. I'm so glad we hired him, Scott will definitely be our go-to for any future needs!

I have mixed feelings about writing this review because I am shocked at how expensive some of these service people are. I realize these companies are in business to make a profit so I do not fault their efforts to generate business but I have to wonder about their approach.  I do not need a salesman trying to sell me something or giving me an overpriced estimate without even knowing what the problem is.
I called Rocket after finding them on Yelp  and explained to the dispatcher that my  8 year old Whirlpool water heater stopped working.  I explained to this person what I knew about the problem.  I had done some research on the web before I called them.  It was Friday and he said they could have a man out Monday morning.  
Monday morning Anthony showed up with a helper and upon looking at my water heater, he tells me they do not service Whirlpool.  What?  I told them what I had when I called them three days earlier so now I am wondering why they even bothered to show up?  He said he would be glad to give me an estimate on a new unit  for $1525 installed or if I got the part to fix the one I had they would install it for about $300.  
Anthony left and now I am completely frustrated and shocked at how I am going to deal with this situation.  I called Whirlpool to get a manual and some  technical help and they gave me the names of 3 other places that would deal with my problem.  I looked each of these 3 places up and the reviews said the same about all 3 places.  Very expensive!  Unfortunately I am retired and not rich and need to be practical.
After a few hours I decided to do a search for a local plumber and found a very nice guy in Evanston.  He came out within the hour and sat down on the ground in my basement next to the water heater and eventually fixed the problem in about an hour. He had a lot of knowledge of how water heaters worked.  Total cost $50.  He discussed future problems I might have and I ordered the part he suggested from Whirlpool for a $30 shipping fee in the event that the unit goes out again.  Whirlpool has a 12 year warranty on parts so you have to get someone to install it or DIY.  I would hire this guy back without question.  Update: Unfortunately his repair only lasted 2 days and I had to spend $1000 to replace the unit)
Follow up.  The owner of Rocket called me and apologized for the misunderstanding.  He will speak to his staff about how to change a few things about the way they approach customers and being upfront on what brands they work on.  I think they mean well but I guess this was an unusual situation and they do seem like very nice people.

Courteous, responsive, timely and quick. They cleared a persistent clog in the kitchen. They rodded deep through the pipe and had it perfectly flowing in a short time. Cost was fair to have my kitchen back in order. If you want to get your issue repaired fast call these guys!

I highly recommend Windy City Plumbing! I got in touch with them through the yelp app and they answered almost immediately. We setup a time and I gave them all my information. I had a plugged drain in my kitchen. Unfortunately I had to leave on a weekend trip and they came by while my wife was home. They called her the moment they knew they were heading over to let her know they were close by. She says they came in and made her feel very comfortable about what they needed to do and gave her a price before they started working. Even though my drain took some effort they got it working as good as new.

I've used First Chicago when it was I think just the owner, Eugene. Now it sounds like they have a small group of plumbers and a shop on Elston Ave. It's not surprising they are growing. Today, Jorge Serna was pleasant, fast, and gave me helpful advice about following through with their my own maintenance. Good communication, excellent service, reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Sound Plumbing sent someone within hours of our request for service. Mitch was able to get our problem resolved quickly and efficiently. He was also very knowledgeable and didn't mind me asking a lot of questions. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I've used J Sewer before, and that good experience led to my using them again. Unlike some other contractors, Jesus will let you know if he is running behind on a prior job.  He may show up late for an appointment as a result, but he will show up. I have had other contractors no call/no show. He does good work at a reasonable price, and is always pleasant to do business with.

Great work at very reasonable prices.  I contacted Green Tech through Yelp because I needed someone to come out and rod a bathtub and fix a leaking sink.  They showed up on time, fixed all the issues, and charged a fair price.  I will be using them again.

Mike and his team did an amazing job cleaning up a backed up drainage in the shortest time possible.  They are highly skilled, professional, punctual, efficient, reliable, courteous, and a true gem among their peers.  The drain was clogged by lots of grease, and the water was backing up onto the basement floor.  Unlike others who may not know plumbing well, Mike pinpoint the issue with just a photo.   He was very prompt to reply to questions and came within an hour.  They made sure the line was entirely cleared and provided solid warranty for the work.  The quote was very reasonable for such high quality work.  I am completely satisfied, and the basement smells all fresh now.   I highly recommend their services and will definitely contact them again for future needs.

Our kitchen sink got clogged again I called Chris my go to person. He is able to schedule me within 2 days not right away but no big deal we just need to figure out how to function with clogged sink. Ivo his associates came and tried everything but without a success. Recommend to replace the pipes (just the kitchen). I agreed and able to schedule it the following day. Ivo ( not sure if I  spelled his name correctly) did a wonderful job. I felt sorry for him because of the time and effort he made. Our pipes are fully clogged with you don't want to know,
it's completely blocked. Very nice person. I am just hoping that I will not see him again for good reason. Anybody who has plumbing issues please call them... Thanks a lot Ivo....

I can't imagine a better plumbing company. I first called them when water stopped draining down our kitchen sink. They came out, quickly diagnosed the problem, and cleared it. A few weeks later, when we noticed a leak coming from our closet ceiling, I called right away. They came out quickly again, diagnosed the exact problem, explained why the pipe had corroded, and repaired it with no time wasted. Unlike a lot of companies, these guys have always worked efficiently, accurately, cleanly, at reasonable rates, and got the job done right. This is the only plumber I'll call in the future. I am very happy that I called Mike the Plumber! I had a clogged bathtub, and Mike fixed my bathtub problem quickly with same-day service.  I moved into my vintage condo recently, and Mike answered my questions and explained how the plumbing in my older unit works.  He is coming back to fix a radiator next week. Mike is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly and takes a lot of care in his work. I highly recommend Mike and will hire him again!

Juan is very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. He fixed the noisy running toilet and replace kitchen faucet for me. He can response quickly with quote based on pictures and videos, and take care of everything. Highly recommended!
