Pat is the first honest plumber we've dealt with in this city.  We called Drain-EEZ after having two other plumbers examine our bathtub over the course of four years.  The first ones charged us hundreds of dollars to snake the drain, didn't fix the problem, and told us we had to entirely re-do our condo's plumbing in order to get the tub to drain.  A second plumber offered a similar diagnosis of our non-draining tub, only by his assessment we only had to partially replace the plumbing.  Pat was skeptical of these accounts over the phone, came by with his kinetic water ram and fixed the drainage issue in 5min.  And charged less than either of the other plumbers to do it, by the way.  We've since employed him to replace a leaking faucet as well, with similar great results.  Pat does quality work, won't hesitate to tell you if your idea isn't a good one, and we appreciate his honesty.  And having hired a lot of plumbers, his rates are on-market, but we'd pay a premium for the honesty.

Our water heater went out after a powerline replacement and we called Matt after reading the reviews. He answered the call and went above and beyond to help us. He tried to help us troubleshoot over the phone and confirmed we did need a new part. He found it in the suburbs and drove to get it and came to our house at 7pm on a Saturday night. He was so kind and professional and had our hot water repaired in under an hour. We will definitely be calling him the next time we have an issue!

We recently had a dishwasher leak and had a great experience with Rescue Plumbing--everyone was very responsive and helpful and Vince is the best. We will definitely use them again. Thank you!

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. I was referred by a friend who has an old building with lots of problems and emergencies and not a lot of money to fix all of them at once.  Scott has always been able to come through for her to fix the problem correctly and at a fair price so I called him to help me move my drain and prepare for a new vanity to be installed.

I have had a similar and positive experience as well.  He quoted the hourly up front, but doesn't pad it charging your for every dang second and then rounding up as he takes 20 minutes to write an invoice. ( I've used many great plumbing services who gouge so much in this way, even though they are good at what they do I avoid using them when I can because I am always left feeling a bit like I just got mugged in an alley). I don't get that with Scott:  He's upfront, responsive, on time, efficient, friendly, fair and knows what he's doing. How rare is that?  He doesn't cut corners either.   I want the problem corrected, not patched.

He's coming back tomorrow to finish up and I'll post an update and maybe even a photo....stay tuned.....

I had an emergency stoppage in the riser between my second and third floor.  I called my Home Warranty company, American Home Shield, and they sent out one of there three contracted plumbers in Chicago.  The first one they sent was Aaron Plumbing.  He was horrible!  I can't believe that American Home Shield would contract with a company like this. He showed up in a rusted-out van with no markings, and he smelled so badly of cigarettes that he literally stunk up my whole house. And, of course, he was unable to diagnose and fix the problem. The second company (can't remember their name) was even worse!  I called American Home Shield back and they authorized me to hire my own plumber.  I found Rocket Plumbing and they were very professional.  They showed up on time, and were very careful to protect my floor and furnishings with drop-cloths before any work was done.  Sam & Geoff did an accurate and timely assessment of the problem, and were able to clear the blockage with some persistence.  They described everything that they were doing, as they were doing it.  They were both very friendly to my wife and son as well. I highly recommend Rocket Plumbing and have added them to the preferred vendor list for my homeowners association.

Just had a great appointment with Chris and Isaiah from Windy City plumbing. We had a sink clog, and set an appointment to clear it out. We weren't even going to bring up an issue we were having on the other side with the disposal, but they were able to fix both in less than 15 minutes! They were friendly and Mayra was responsive and flexible and in planning the appointment. Will definitely use again!

They came out on the same day and clearly explained the problem and what they fixed in order to stop the leak coming from the toilet.  I would use them again.

I love these guys!  I have used them 3 different times for various issues at my properties and would use them at my home if they were willing to drive to the burbs.  They have been great!  Always on time, professional, neat, super friendly and fairly priced. Most importantly, they do a great job and are super honest.  They will even refer you to plumbers they like if they are unable to work with you due to their schedule or whatever.  Extremely trustworthy!  It is awesome to be able to work with professionals you can trust.

There's a reason why this is a five star business. I called on Green Tech to help with a gas leak at my property.  Green Tech's communication was awesome but I think they possess one thing that most companies don't.  The techs that show up to your site are super nice and really knowledgeable. Over the course of 10 years we have experienced numerous attitudes, particularly because of my lack of knowledge in this arena (which is why I called them in the first place).  The fix was so obvious and something I should have just finished with the turn of a wrench but I couldn't figure it out. I was still talked to with some dignity. Thanks Green Tech, hopefully I never have an issue but if I do I look forward to calling you again.

What you NEED to know is in the last paragraph. TL;DR: This is the best home services experience I've ever had in my life.

We had a clogged toilet at 3 a.m. after hosting a  New Year's Eve party at our new home. Not the ideal way to kick off 2020. Using a plunger, we were able to get the water to flush very slowly and figured we got rid of the clog.

2 days later, the toilet still wasn't working. I requested a quote on Yelp, and Mike responded within minutes. Not only was the price competitive, but Mike offered to give me free advice on how to fix the problem myself in the event that it could save me time and money.

After trying all the conventional methods (plunger, auger) to no avail, I called Mike again to schedule service. He sent Danny who was at the house within 15 minutes. Danny was incredibly polite and thorough moving from auger to removing the toilet. Having tried all standard methods, Danny let us know that he would have to bring in the power rodder and that Mike was on his way to help out. Danny laid tarp along house to wheel in the huge machine, and Mike tried to think of other ways to solve this not-so-typical issue.

They ended up going to our crawlspace and rodding the pipes through there. I'll spare the details, but after a couple hours, the problem was fixed. Danny and Mike cleaned up the bathroom and closet with crawlspace access. And the toilet flushes like new.

I can't speak highly enough of this experience. We couldn't have asked for better service and, quite frankly, didn't know home services of this caliber existed. I would never hesitate to recommend giving these gentlemen a call, even for free advice. They'll be my go-to for any future plumbing issues (knock on wood), as well as if anyone ever asks if we know a good plumber. Mike giving us a discount for finding them through Yelp was a much-appreciated bonus.

I had the best experience with this company! I'm new to home ownership and had a big wonky project to complete in an old wonky house and Andrew really showed up for the job. He was informative and personable, really went above and beyond. Can I tell you -- I was actually kinda sad when the project was over, it was nice having such an expert and team player in the house!! Don't hesitate, no need to shop around, this is your guy!

I have used Sims and Sone for a year and a half. Darrell is literally on my speed dial. My condo building has had a number of plumbing issues that have been difficult to figure out - fixing one problem exposed another. After redoing my bathroom, we started having a leak into the downstairs unit. We tried to figure it out snd had other plumbers come attempt to diagnose the problem. Zeno came over, figured it out immediately and fixed. However, the plumbing work was complicated and solving the leak led to back ups because of back pitching and compression within my pipes. Zeno was incredibly thoughtful, used cameras to diagnose, and came and fixed my plumbing once and for all. He is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, answering every question I had thoroughly, explaining it all to me and physically showing me so I could understand the problem. He stayed after the work was complete to help me with another issue and investigate an issue my neighbor was having. Truly, he goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. He was also teaching an apprentice while completing my work and it was really neat to see just how knowledgeable and skilled he is to pass it on to someone else. While the issues in my building were not common, Zeno had the grace, patience, and persistence to figure it out and did not stop until it worked fully. I cannot recommend Zeno enough. PLEASE use him because I promise you will not be disappointed.

I like i got a Quote on Yelp instead of being told they cant give a price without someone coming to the house and then you are potentially wasting days and then you get a too high quote but feel pressured to go with them, so when i got a quote from ABV and thought it fair i made a appointment and they came the next day.

Trust! I think trust is most important in choosing an expert to fix a problem. Of course experience, knowledge, ability and integrity are also needed. But trusting the reviews written by others or trusting the recommendation of a friend is sometimes all we have to go by. I had a clogged drain about 15 feet downstream from my kitchen sink. It was the result of overzealous use of the garbage disposal. I tried snaking the drain myself but the clog was too big (turns out about 2 feet of drain was totally blocked). I did research on several websites looking for a plumber in my area who I could trust to do the work right - at a fair price. I narrowed the list to 4 companies. At 7:15 PM on a weekday I called each of them. I got two answering services that could not answer any of my technical questions, another said they would have someone call me back in a few minutes (never happened) and then there was Dmitry. Dmitry is one of the owners of CJ Plumbing. He answered the phone himself. He was able to discuss my issue intelligently, explain the likely scenarios and give me an estimated price range (min and max) for the job. It was clear from his questions and his input that he understood the problem and knew the likely solutions. As it turns out, he was absolutely correct about the issue and what it would take to fix it. I wanted to consider what he said before making a commitment. He said I could call him back anytime in the next few hours. I called several hours later and again he answered the phone and we scheduled a visit for the following afternoon.

The plumber who showed up (not the person I spoke to) was a delight to work with. He was professional, polite, and patient as he answered my many questions. He tried a few easy options to fix the problem (e.g. using a powered drain snake). When those did not work he said the best option was to cut out the clogged section of drain (which he had located) and replace it with a new section of pipe. The clogged part of the pipe included two 90 degree bends. He removed that section and replaced the sharp bends with pairs of 45 degree bends to allow waste to pass through the more easily. The drain pipe ran along the ceiling of my unfinished basement so there was direct access to the pipe. After replacing the section of pipe he verified that there were no leaks and cleaned up the area of the basement where he worked as well as the area under the kitchen sink. He even cleaned the sink.  

I was VERY pleased with his work and with his personality. The cost of the repair was within the range quoted on the phone (though near the higher end). My trust in CJ Plumbing was rewarded by their performance and their honesty. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends and family. I recommend them to YOU.

I had a rocky toilet that was supposedly fixed by Chicagoland Handyman in June of 2022, but five months later the rocking was back. I searched for a plumber to fix this unsteady toilet once and for all. I called Mike the Plumber. He was able to come out the next day and was able to to stabilize my toilet. Mike the Plumber was very nice as he explained what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it. He said if the rocking comes back (which it won't) he will tend to it. I will definitely call Mike the Plumber for any future plumbing issues in my old building. Thank you Mike!

Noel is fantastic. He was very responsive and communicative before he even showed up to review the problem.He spent 11 hours dealing with some incredibly difficult roots that had grown into the pipe and stayed until 8:30pm knowing I couldn't stay home from work the next day. He fixed everything and after he was done cleaned everything up so you wouldn't even know he had been there!  You should absolutely use him for any plumbing needs!
