I feel like this place ripped me off.  I had them come out to fix a leaky faucet and toilet not filling up.  The first guy took HOURS and said he couldn't replace the cartridges for my faucet so I would have to get a new faucet.  He did fix the toilet quickly.  I paid $288.  Then the next weekend a new plumber from the same company came out and fixed my original faucet in 20 minutes but I had to pay an additional $150 service fee.  $150 for 20 minutes when I  had already paid $288 the last time?!  I really feel taken advantage of.  If the first guy knew what he was doing with the faucet I would have saved a lot of money and time.  Then as he was leaving he said call us again!  Ha!  Sending out people who don't know what they are doing and making the customer pay for a plumbers lack of knowledge is not going to get you repeat business!

Mac is the BEST.  We've used him many times now and he's always quick to respond, happy to help at any time of the day or night (even on Sundays!), he's SUPER friendly, fast, gets the job done, and is extremely reasonable in price.  Really, he's the best there is.

Pete and Noah were absolutely INCREDIBLE! What was thought to be a small clog ended up being a deep plumbing issue and they talked us through every step, tried the most effective methods which keeping the cost affordable. We called in the morning and they did everything that very day.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. I scheduled and appointment with Rocket Plumbing to assess a cracked toilet.  I am delighted with the service because the plumber, Anthony, arrived right on time and made a quick assessment that the toilet needed replacement. He had a selection of products in stock and explained the features of the various toilets at the different price points.  Conveniently, Anthony set up a time to return with the new toilet that same day and again, he arrived right on time.  Not only did he expertly install the toilet in 25 minutes, but he left everything clean and neat.  Anthony's professional, cheerful, and efficient personal qualities made this an exceptional experience. 5 Stars aren't enough stars to award these guys.  Thomas & David came out to inspect and hydrojet our sewage line from our house to the street in Chicago.  We had a TOTAL backup, and sewer water had overflowed into our garden apartment where we take care of a disabled woman.  We were quoted a very fair & competitive price for hydrojetting the line.  Thomas and David realized that our drain and our property were NOT the problem, instead, Thomas clearly showed us how it was a problem with the city's (Chicago) sewer system alone.  He showed us how the sewer elevation had risen due to blockages in multiple areas along the City's streets and alleys.  Thomas said, that sewer line water level is 6-7 feet above normal and knew right away that this was an emergency and I had better start calling the city and my alderman immediately.  In fact, Thomas got on the horn and told the city that we have a serious problem and that crews would need to be dispatched right away.  Then he looked at me and sayed keep calling, don't stop calling ... And that's what I did, I literally called again within 5 minutes, and kept calling to report the severity of the situation to the city and alderman. Thomas pointed out that our flooding was occurring during a period of NO RAIN, and rain was on the way the following night.  So because of Thomas' knowledge 3 city crews were sent out the next morning and they worked all day to drain the entire line 7 feet down, they popped every manhole for two blocks down the line and also found a caved-in manhole who's bricks had fallen and blocked the line.  They also sucked out hundreds of pounds of grease the likes of which the crews said they had never seen.  So what I'm saying is ... that if Thomas and David didn't have the professional technical smarts to ascertain this entire situation we would have had 1 1/2 feet of fecal sewage water in our garden apartment when the rain came and our disabled tenant would have had to be relocated.  Thomas literally saved our garden apartment and the security of our very wonderful tenant, and saved many other lower level garden apartments along the line by knowing his craft and advising me to take immediate action with the city.  I would recommend Thomas and Chicago Sewer And Drain to anyone ... a hundred times over.  Not just skillful, but exceedingly smart and caring.  Bravo Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals.

This review is a long time coming, and frankly, it is so well deserved that I feel guilty I haven't done it sooner. Simply put, Jose and his crew are the best. They are probably the most responsive company I have ever dealt with, which, when it comes to plumbing (i.e. Honey, we have an emergency!), is huge. They have saved the day on numerous occasions (backed up ejector pump, questionable sump pump sounds, water heater out), during which they likely had *numerous* opportunities to upsell me new equipment, charge me for additional services I didn't need, etc....but they were straight-up, honest, informative and friendly. Truth be told, they have probably saved me between $1-2k since I moved into my (125 year old) home almost 3 years ago. I won't use anyone else - the 5 star Yelp reviews speak for themselves. I can only hope they don't get *too* popular so that they are available to respond to the next plumbing disaster at my house!

Sound Plumbing sent someone within hours of our request for service. Mitch was able to get our problem resolved quickly and efficiently. He was also very knowledgeable and didn't mind me asking a lot of questions. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Jesus got back to me within 20 minutes of my initial email on a Sunday and was in my kitchen Monday at 1, just as promised. He also let me know when something was going to cost more before he proceeded with the work. Importantly, he let me know that his solution (rodding the sink pipe) may not solve the issue, but it did. Will definitely call him in the future.

Super fast response to my initial request for service, arrived in less than 30 min after my call, repair in less than an hour. Tim was very friendly and the price was affordable and fair. I highly recommend this company, this will be our first choice from now on. I would give 10 stars if I could!

After contacting several other companies which either went ghost on us or gave insanely high quotes, Mike replied so quickly with a reasonable quote- much lower than any others in the area. He offered to send a professional to our home the next business day and they were right on time. Daniel was quick, informative and he fixed the problem immediately, and I ended up having to pay less than expected which was great. I will definitely be calling them again in the future should I have any other plumbing issues!

I was supposed to write this review yesterday, but I was way too busy enjoying my hot water and full pressure shower thanks to Adam A. at Captain Rooter. Adam was nothing but professional, courteous and friendly. He was able to come the same day that I called and pinpoint the issue, and even let me know that he felt we needed a larger tank based on the usage in the house, which I was grateful for.

My kids thought he was cool, and I basically wanted to marry him after he fixed our hot water tank that had been out for 2 days (but I'm sure that's was just the toxic smells coming off of us making me talk crazy).

The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of butt crack. I mean... plumbers, amirite?

Darrell was so professional from the moment I reached out. I contacted him to request a chandelier installation and he got back to me right away during a weekend. He scheduled me right away, arrived earlier than our appointment and took less than an hour To install. He was very professional and so nice! I look forward to using him again for future projects.

We used CJ Plumbing for some kitchen work. They came out the same day I called to check out what needed to be done, set up a time, and give a quote. Our countertops were delayed which then delayed the plumbing work on the stove and sink. They were still able to come back within 24 hours to do the work. Our stove had no gas shut off so they installed a shut off and connected the cooktop. The plumbing under the sink was all messed up, not up to code, and they did a phenomenal job correcting all the plumbing there as well. Not only efficient but done very well. Will definitely have them come back for future plumbing work we need done.

Noticed our garbage disposal was leaking on a Sunday and sent Mike a text. An hour later, he was at my place installing the new unit. Fast, super friendly and got the job done without any issues. Quality experience across the board!

Juan came out to replace a wax ring on a toilet. He quickly did the work and the toilet is now very secure. He was  friendly and able to do the work with a days notice. Reasonable price and very responsive. I would definitely use him again for any plumbing work I need done.

Noel came to my home quickly to examine a drainage problem. Unfortunately he did not have his rodder with him (it was not his fault as I had given him some bad information), so he could not assist me. But he was really gracious about it. Strikes me as a guy who works hard and charges a fair price.
