Definitely, I had a lot of problems with my plumbing, they came out almost immediately after calling several different companies say they could not come out for 4 to 5 business days I found them on yelp and they resolve my problem

This company is top-notch. We reached out to Mac late morning on a Friday, and he and his team were there same-day to take out our tank and replace it with a new one. You don't realize how necessary hot water is until you no longer have it!

Rescue is a perfect name for this company.  I had a mess in my kitchen, clogged pipes, leaky pipe under sink, leaky faucet.  I called them and was able to obtain Mario immediately.  He showed me the problems and explained what he would need to do.  He gave me a clear and firm price and an approximate length of time it would take to do the job.  He finished the job sooner then expected and he showed me all that he did.  He had me test everything and he did not leave until he knew I was completely satisfied.  Mario was very personable and professional.  I will be happy to recommend this Plumbing service and Mario anytime to anyone.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. Scotty is definitely our new go-to plumber.  He's thorough, careful, knowledgable, and dependable.  He showed up smack on time, knew exactly what he was doing, passed muster with our building engineer, and did fantastic work.  What impressed me even more, though, is how careful he was with the work.  He knew about the unique problems presented by high-rise buildings.  He made sure that the fixtures we were buying were going to be safe to use with our water pressure.  He insisted on seeing the spec sheets and brought with him all the valves, hoses, and supplies that were correctly rated for our building.  In short, he prevented me from making a mess of things.  I can not recommend him too highly.

Amazing service! Came the day we called (today) and even arrived early. Fixed our massively clogged bathtub drain. Process was fast, clean, and very fairly priced. He even offered us tips and tricks to keep our drains clog free and healthy. Extremely professional. Great small business that gave exceptional service.  I live in a hundred year old house and had a simple problem, once they fixed that problem, they discovered a bigger problem waiting to happen.  They went to the hardware store, did what they could, told me they had a major job the next day (a Friday) and would try to be back tomorrow to take care of everything.  I was a little nervous when it was 4:00pm on Friday and I hadn't heard, but sure enough they showed up again and were able to get everything fixed.  I waited 3 weeks to write this email and have had zero problems with the work completed.

Gathered 4 different quotes to have a water line and spigot run from my roof deck to our nearest bathroom(~12 ft).  First Chicago Plumbing was the cheapest quote we received, with the next closest quote over twice the amount of First Chicago's.  Moved forward with First Chicago Plumbing to perform the work, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Not only were they the price leader, but their quality of work was/is impeccable. Additionally, the two plumbers that performed the work were friendly and engaging - a delight to work with overall. Having been 9 months since install, the spigot and bib have held up very well through the rough Chicago winter, and I have no doubts First Chicago Plumbing will be my go-to plumbing contractor moving forward.

I had to have a garbage disposal replaced...  they were so easy to work with.  I called for an estimate which was very reasonable but then I always assume the work will end up being on that high end but it was actually lower!  They called bc they were running early!!  So nice to not sit around and wait until the last second of the time window on whether or not they will show up.  He was very efficient, gave me options for what could/could not be done and cleaned up.  I would definitely recommend them.

First of all, Jesus who did a solid job replacing the wax ring for my toilet. He also switched my broken water supply line. Everything was done with attention to details.
Secondly, the communication with Jesus before and during the job was very easy. The price is also reasonable.

I like Greentech; I can communicate with them honestly and they are super responsive.  Gino, the Greentech licensed plumber, is efficient, genuine and effective at what he does.  He comes early and gets the job done.  He works really hard and is very nice.  I also spoke with the owners/managers Bill, Kevin and Fred all who helped me sort through my plumbing nightmare.  Through many conversations, we troubleshooted (with Gino) issues with the sewer mainline, we fixed a drainage issue and created a clean out for future issues.   Greentech will work with you to resolve your plumbing problems.  I love that they run an honest and skillful business and hire competent, nice people.  Thank you Bill, Gino, Fred and Kevin!! I have to give a detailed review because my experience was absolutely amazing. If you don't want to read the full review but want to know a short version: I HIGHLY recommend MHJSS, not just recommend but HIGHLY!

ok, so here is the fine print:
I've been smelling a sewage smell on my 1st floor, coming from my bathroom for the last few years. It comes and goes and when it goes it leaves long enough for me to forget about it. Just recently it came back and is stronger than ever, so much so that I can smell it moving throughout my home. I have a family plumber I've been using since the '90s and I'm big on small business so as usual I called and got my home rodded. Since purchasing my home in 2014 I get an annual rodding done since I can't watch what my company and children flush down the drain.

Wanting to get a 2nd opinion I googled and came up with Mr. Rooter, sent a message on their website, and set up a date and time for them to come to consult. I took off work since they told me it was a window from 12-3 pm. To make a long story short, I work overnight and was asleep when they called me at 8 am the day of to tell me they would arrive at 12. Since I missed the called they canceled my appointment. I was upset when I woke up at 11 am to get this voicemail. I took to google again, I had no patience nor desire to deal with this (Plus they told me since I lived on the south side I needed to pay $90 extra for the plumber to come south).

Google lead me to MHJSS. I read reviews and called. I can't remember who I spoke with but the guy was professional and gave me confidence that I'd found the right company.

About an hour later, Danny called me to say he was on his way. (Quick appointment, same day, no BS). He arrived on time with his partner Jose. They asked the perfect questions and before I could explain everything, they knew what needed to be done and starting accessing. Danny took his time and explained EVERYTHING so that I could understand all about my plumbing issues. He showed me things I didn't expect to see since my family plumber does frequent work at my home. I was able to get a Hydro Jetting and he immediately told me why we could smell the sewage in the house.

Being a novice to this entire industry, Danny and Jose made sure I knew what was going on, why, and how it can be fixed. They took their time, did things correctly, cleaned up behind themselves, and did so in a professional and safe manner. They worked great as a team and even better as plumbers. I felt like I'd know them personally before today since they were so personable. I wasn't rushed, I wasn't pitched a sales pitch, and I was comfortable with them in my home.

Bigger name companies need to take notes from these guys. I hope nothing about their process changes because from now on I will be using MHJSS for all my plumbing needs and will continue to refer them to everyone I know, as a matter of fact, my neighbor will be using them soon for his multiunit apartment building (I gave him MHJSS phone number, LOL).

I had an initial good interaction with Captain Rooter (see first review, which also came with a discount). They replaced the pipes under a kitchen sink that they said were installed wrong. About a year later, the pipes they installed came apart at one of the seals, causing water damage. They came out and fixed their old work then routed the line. A few months later (and almost $1,000 in), the same seal has broken again, causing more water damage. I called Captain Rooter again, and they said they'd call back about getting it fixed. They never called back. After working with another plumber, they said that Captain Rooter had actually installed it wrong and that why it kept coming apart.

We hired Sims and Sons to install an additional electrical outlet and they did a fantastic job. Work was done in one day. We later had another issue when one of our painters (from another company) accidentally damaged the internal wiring. When I reached out to Darrell, they knew exactly how to fix the problem and promptly came in and fixed. They are true experts in their trade and I will definitely go back to them for all of our electrical needs.

Hristo from ABV plumbing showed up on time as promised. He had a mask and a pair of bootie to cover his shoes. We weren't able to use the kitchen sink for exactly 1 week which was so inconvenient. He worked so hard to open the drain that the previous company couldn't resolve. He used a 50 ft cable to open the drain. He was so patient and kept cool the whole time. I'm so happy that we now have a working kitchen sink again. I woupd strongly recommend using them again. Thank you so much. Great job Hristo!!!

Extremely poor communication. Dmitry wanted to handle everything through text (which is completely fine) and I sent him all the details and pictures I could. He said he was good with the info I sent but his estimate on the work was very vague so I asked for clarity and didn't get any. I then asked if he could email the details and proposal to me, he said Saturday which was 4 days away. i understand he probably has other jobs so I waited.
On Sunday still nothing...followed up saying I want to move forward with the work based on the initial estimate but just need the detailed quote to make sure...he asked for home address and that was it. Monday I follow up again and then said he will send out a proposal once I confirm I am interested in scheduling and it still wouldn't get sent out for another day.
As you can see how frustrating the communication has been. Maybe he does good work once you get ahold of him and seems fairly priced as I compared to other plumbers but if you don't get a quote in a couple days after providing the scope of the job, just move on if you're hoping for something sooner than later
*response: again the issue is poor communication. I did tell Dmitry I was looking for service immediately and it took a week for them to tell me they are 4 weeks out. They did not offer in person, only a follow up call that was not even needed. Screenshot of that conversation is below.

About as honest and straightforward as it gets.  Great guy and even better plumber!  He explained everything that was going to be done, was flexible around our schedule and most importantly fixed the issue we were having.  I'm glad to find a go to plumber we can depend on with fair and transparent pricing.

We had a leaking garbage disposal that we found out about on a Friday night. Juan came out the very next day and replaced it for me at a very reasonable price. He also fixed a p trap that was about to leak with some spare parts that he had in his truck.

On top of that he also gave me some great advice on some other plumbing projects that I'm working on.

I will be reaching out to Juan for all my future plumbing needs.

We had a clogged sink and could not get the water in either basin to drain. Noel was at our place with in 45 minutes and it took care of our problem in no time.  Very helpful and a nice person.  If we need services again, Noel will be getting the call.
