I Just remodeled my rental unit bathroom and had to have the bathtub boot drain connected to finish the job.  After opening up the ceiling below the tub, I realized I needed a professional plumber to complete the job to make sure it was done correctly with no leaks.  Because I installed a sub floor there was a 1 1/2 inch gap between the bottom of the tub drain and the top of the boot.  This required a special extension which I picked up at The Faucet Shoppe on Elston.  I originally hired another plumber to show up at 1 pm.  When he arrived and showed him how I wanted it done, he went on to say that it would not work, he never seen that before, he would not warranty the work, etc.  He went on to say that he could cut out all the galvanize, cast iron and brass and install all plastic and it would work just as well.  Well, I sent him on his way because that was not wanted needed to be done just to install a simple boot.  

I found Drain-EZZ on on yelp and called them.  They said they had a guy in the area and he could be over in a couple of hours after he finished his other job.  Lou showed up just before 4 pm and I showed him exactly what needed to be done.  He did some pre-assembly work of the boot and slide it into place.  Tightened down the drain basket inside the tub.  Came back down and tightened all the lock nuts and fittings, did a leak test and all was good!  Took Lou an hour and the job was complete!  There was no need to cut anything out to complete the job.  He did a great job and prevented me from swearing for the next 4 hours trying to do it myself.  

I had him look at removing the garbage disposal and re-piping the kitchen sink for a later date.

Mac came out to our house twice in one morning. Our water heater was out and we were hoping to fix rather than replace it. When Mac determined he couldn't fix it, he explained out options and went on his way without accepting any payment. Very, very decent thing for him to do. Then an hour later we called him to say we'd decided to go forward with installing a new water heater. He was back within an hour, and we had new water heater in no time at all. This guy has a lot of energy. Very fast service, fair price, and a good person to do business with.

Javier and Gus were stellar - communicative, transparent, friendly, and skilled in their craft. My toilet was causing some leaking for the people downstairs and Javier had it taken care of in a few hours. They documented the whole process with photos and tested the work by going to my downstairs neighbor's bathroom and flushing my toilet several times to make sure the leaking stopped. No sneaky costs either. Also appreciated them coming on short notice. Pleasant and worth the $$! thank you Javier and Gus - will be calling you for future plumbing woes

The owner called me about my review.  We were able to come to get the facts from the issue. Turns out there were multiple issues attributing to the problem.  They fixed one that was also masking another issue which made it difficult to notice until the first issue was resolved.

I had a water leak from my basement drain standpipe. I called Chicago Sewer & Drain, and David and his crew responded. After making an assessment I was quoted a price that included televising and water jetting to clear the clog. Unfortunately, the waterjet pump failed. The same crew returned several days later to finish the job. The lads on the team were all professional in explaining the problem and fixing it. I had a flood control in the front yard that was where the clog started I was reminded that only toilet paper is to down the toilet and not all things that are flushable can get past the flood control device.

I wished I had known about Windy City Plumbing when my gas was turned off due to a leak.  However, it took a few days before I found them on Yelp.  Robert and Chris were sent over to evaluate the issue and they were both amazing.  They knew exactly what was needed and fixed the problem.  
Gas was turned back on that same day thanks to them.  
They both were extremely professional, knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions.  I would definitely be using Windy City Plumbing in the future.  Shout out to them both and Windy City Plumbing!!!

We had a great experience with First Chicago Plumbing. They gave an estimate ahead of time based on a photo we sent them and arrived with everything needed to fix our 2 plumbing issues. The price was reasonable, and Eugene was very professional and efficient.

I had a toilet that would not stop running. I thought I was able to self-diagnose, but I was completely off. Nevertheless, I contacted Mike from Midwest Hydro-Jetting and Sewer Service over the holiday season and he was able to send Danny over very quickly. Danny did an outstanding job of not only correcting the true issue at hand but course correcting what I had thought was the issue with my toilet. Danny was knowledgeable, helpful and very efficient in his work. Mike and Danny charged what they had quoted and I found their prices to be extremely competitive. I would absolutely go back to Danny (and Mike) for future work.

Joel and his team at Captain rooter did an amazing job and their pricing was the most competitive. Our sewer main collapsed and was partially broken for the condo building and they were able to come out and dig it up, completely replace it, pull permits, and redo the cement on top all in about a day and a half. Although this was not an emergency job, they worked really quickly and were easy to communicate with and really straightforward. I highly recommend working with them because they're in Chicago and very responsive and competitive on price, but high in quality.

They came out with very limited notice and corrected repairs for me in a property I manage.  The used the lockbox and made it seamless.   Easy to communicate with.

Our kitchen sink got clogged again I called Chris my go to person. He is able to schedule me within 2 days not right away but no big deal we just need to figure out how to function with clogged sink. Ivo his associates came and tried everything but without a success. Recommend to replace the pipes (just the kitchen). I agreed and able to schedule it the following day. Ivo ( not sure if I  spelled his name correctly) did a wonderful job. I felt sorry for him because of the time and effort he made. Our pipes are fully clogged with you don't want to know,
it's completely blocked. Very nice person. I am just hoping that I will not see him again for good reason. Anybody who has plumbing issues please call them... Thanks a lot Ivo....

Demetri answered my weekend call quickly and came out soon after. Lenny was very professional and cleared my basement drain with no issue. Will definitely work with them again.

I just got a condo and bought it knowing the master bath did not have a working toilet, no water in the tank even with the valve turned on. I sent out the general yelp estimate search and Mike gave me a call back right away. I told him the issue and he was able to come out same day. He got my toilet working fast and helped me with my new shower head. The price was great and will definitely be calling him when i need things done in the future.

When it rains it pours. Juan and team did a great job on our original issue and then a totally separate issue came about the next day. The issue was messy and did not smell good. Juan and team showed up the very next morning and replaced a pump that had gone bad. Their work is thorough and Juan explains the problem so it's easy to understand. Noel did an amazing job replacing our jammed garbage disposal, and even identified a better way to reroute the plumbing under the kitchen sink to reduce stress on the new garbage disposal. Heck, he even offered to help me carry a large item UPS had just delivered up three flights of stairs.
