I called Drain-EEZ on a Sunday afternoon after I found out that my ejector pump for my condo had failed some time prior. Needless to say, this was a total mess and I needed help ASAP. I spoke to Pat who, although unable to come out that afternoon, due to other emergencies called in before me, took the time to talk me through the basic diagnostics of my problem over the phone. This was after he asked me to take pictures of the valve and text them to him so he could see what I was looking at. Once he confirmed that the ejector pump had indeed failed, he was able to send his partner, Lou, to come out the very next day. Lou was extremely professional, courteous and showed me all the things wrong with the original installation of the pump and check valve. He also saw that there was no weep hole drilled into the pipe, and saw that the check valve had also failed. This combination caused a huge pressure buildup in the pipe that essentially killed the pump (which was also a super cheap unit from Home Depot). Lou installed a new top shelf pump, new check valve, fixed the vent pipe (which also was originally installed incorrectly), tested the pump, cleaned up all the overlfow waste water from the floor, and took out the old parts and other trash leaving the place cleaner than when he got there. Yes, the repair was expensive, but it was better than other companies who were going to charge me more money for a cheaper pump.

Lastly, after Lou left, Pat called me to see how the service was and if I was satisfied with Lou's work. I told him the job could not have been done more professionally and that I would absolutely use Drain-EEZ again in the future and recommend them to my friends and family.

I couldn't be more happy with the service Pat and Lou provided and I'm confident that I won't have a nightmare problem like I had before I called them.

Kevin and his team are awesome. I've used them twice now - once to snake a tricky drain and now to replace an old and broken shower diverter and faucet. Kevin is prompt to respond and does the work that is needed quickly. The quote was reasonable and the work excellent. His diagnosis of the issues are honest and transparent. I would use Sound Plumbing in the future.

Thank you Jesus and Son for the great service! They responded very quickly and came on time for the appointment. They also explained everything they were doing along the way. Needless to say, Jesus knows what he is doing and I am glad to see he's passing his talent to his son. Very kind and professional. They took the time to inspect everything prior to working and BTW, they also wore booties and cleaned up after themselves. Will be using them in the future for other projects. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

Update: I received a call to make this right and they did. So I've updated my review because they did the work for the agreed upon amount, were professional, polite and fixed the issue.

So many 5 star reviews, when I had a plumbing issue the handyman couldn't resolve I had to call. So I did and was quoted $400 (at most) parts and labor for a shower drain leak and slow constant drop from the shower head.

Fast forward to the scheduled repair day and the plumber that came was very close to the scheduled time, so that was a plus. Then I showed him hat was needed and he said the other gentlemen that came out for the estimate had already told him the same that I did.

Two hours later repairs are complete and now I'm hit with a bill over $600. When I told him the estimate was $400 at most he just said he didn't know and it would be over $600. I am disappointed he wouldn't have told me the bill would be higher the moment he knew and not hit me at the end with a big increase. Parts were $138, the total was $636. That means labor was almost $250 an hour, that is extremely high, even for plumbers.

Anyway, the repair seems to be done correctly and hopefully if there are any issues they stand by their work.

I've used Midwest a few times and will use them more in the future. Mike and Danny are awesome -- professional, punctual, and very friendly. I am glad that they are just a call away when I experience my next plumbing scare.

I had a clogged sump pump that needed attention. I called one highly rated company who told me that it could not be repaired but that I would instead need a new $2700 Zolar pump job. I'm glad that I called Captain for a second opinion. Andrew came out and quickly assessed the situation, fixed the problem and only charged me $250!!! He was honest and never up sold me. Many companies take advantage of single women but Andrew did not. I will forever be a loyal customer as a result. Thanks Andrew, you're awesome!!

We moved to a row house in Lincoln Park. The row house was built in 1888 and had some significant electrical issues including and not least of which was not being up to code. Christian and Romero were on time, possessed great attitudes and were a pleasure to work with on top of being excellent electricians. They were professional, efficient, and it was evident that they take great pride in their craft - as they should! The both of them went above and beyond and we are so impressed. I would gladly work with Sims and Sons again, and I am grateful to have found a company and team that makes customer service such a priority. Truly outstanding, top notch work! Pretty awesome experience. I called yesterday to get a quote for replacing a garbage disposal that quit working. Since it was so old, I wanted to replace it rather than repair it. Noel asked me to send pictures of the existing disposal and when he received them he communicated that there might be an issue. We agreed that he'd come out and take a look at either replacing it or repairing the existing disposal if the issue really was a problem. Surprisingly, he was able to schedule me for today which is less than 24-hours from when I called him. This was no emergency but I really appreciated that he was so responsive. He quoted a time to arrive and kept me posted on his progress within the time range quoted. He took a look at my disposal and was able to replace it and without a problem. Two things I want to share. First, Noel was professional. He was quite fast and very thorough. He made sure to test the unit and showed me a couple of things that I might need to watch out for with my existing pipes. Second, his prices are incredibly competitive and more than fair. All good here and I'll call him again if I need a solid plumber.
