The hose bibb on the exterior of my house leaked water when a hose was attached to it.  I sent a video to Drain-EEZ.  After some technical mishaps with emails and txts (his phone wouldn't accept videos and I was given the wrong email address a few times), Pat told me I likely had a frost free valve that needed to be replaced.  He said that he would not fix any drywall to replace the valve, which I accepted.  He got to my house while I was at work and my mother-in-law let him in.  He confirmed over the phone it was a problem with the frost free valve and said he needed to buy parts.  He told me it would be $850 and kept reiterating that he didn't know how long it would take until he opened the wall.  It took about 2 hours and the parts appears to have cost less than $75 (from searching Home Depot).  That is a high hourly rate.  He replaced the frost free valve with a normal valve that would require an access panel, without asking me first.  It is not an easy place to put a panel as it's right above the baseboard above some stairs.  After raising this as an issue, he said to just put a modified HVAC panel over it, which won't even work, as the valve sticks out past the drywall.  When asked about why the price was so high when he didn't run into any problems, I was told they charge by the job, not by hour/parts.  Lastly, the new hose bibb that was installed is loose on the outside as it is not secured to the brick as the original one was.  

The new valve works, but for $850 I have a loose hose bibb, I have to add a custom/awkward access panel, and wasn't clearly told how things are billed until after the fact.  The plumber with the mitigation/restoration company quoted me $750 to put a new frost free valve in and a manual valve under the stairs (Pat was made aware of the closet underneath the stairs).

If you care about aesthetics and/or price, I would not recommend.

These guys are AWESOME. I just bought my first place, and I walked in the door to hear a moisture sensor going off and water collecting around the water heater. He was over to diagnose the problem within an hour, and he and Jeremiah had changed out the water heater and installed a new one within 3 hours. Very clearly explained everything to me, and very fairly priced. Fantastic experience!!!

I needed to replace a garbage disposal and a couple connecting pipes under my sink in the kitchen.  Great experience with Scott across the board:  high quality, careful and very quick service (e.g., took probably only an hour all-in because Scott was efficient), competitive pricing, great responsiveness and easy communication via texts, flexible scheduling, efficient and accurate estimate with a breakdown of input costs, proper safety precautions during the pandemic (e.g., mask, social distancing), cleanliness (cleaning during and after the project being done).  Scott was a good professional when discussing repair options (e.g., he shared his professional opinion but wasn't pushing a particular solution) and very detail oriented (e.g., Scott even installed the new pipes so that they consume less space under the sink than before).

Highly recommended.  I will reach out to Scott for any plumbing issues going forward.

My first present as a new homeowner occurred a few weeks ago. As I was taking a much needed shower, the hot water heater in my condo suddenly stopped working! Early the next morning, I called Rocket Plumbing based on the amazing reviews on Yelp. The person setting up the appointment was able to have someone come out by noon. She even gave me call to confirm when he was about 30 minutes away, which I really appreciated.

Tony and his helper came out and told me that my 8 year old heater needed to be replaced. They were able to complete everything that day and were very professional. They even threw in a $50 discount and added a missing shut off valve for free. I've never dealt with plumbers before, but I was very impressed with their work and would definitely recommend them.

Quick to respond via yelp and helped diagnose the issue via chat. Had someone here the next day on time (even a little early). David and his team were here and diagnosed the issue quickly, provided and quote and completed the work in about an hour. Would highly recommend and very knowledgeable!

We're glad we called Windy City Plumbing to help with our clogged bathroom sink.  After trying to fix it ourselves with Draino multiple times with no luck, we really needed a professional to get the job done.  Jose was prompt, friendly, and explained every step of the process to me.  We haven't had a problem with our bathroom sink since, and he even checked the tub drain and explained how to avoid clogs in the rusted pipes in our 1927 home.  Upon leaving, he assured us that if we experienced a clog in the same sink again over the next couple months he would be happy to return free of charge to fix it--that's great customer service!  We'll be calling Windy City Plumbing with all of our plumbing needs from now on.

Mid-kitchen remodel, I realized I needed the gas line to my stove moved about a foot to accommodate new cabinets. I contacted four different plumbers who quoted me a minimum of $400 to do what I knew would be less than an hour's worth of work. When I contacted Sound Plumbing, Debbie told me they charge by the hour, and the job I was asking for would be two hours max. All in all, it took an hour and a half, and they prorated the half hour on my invoice. The work was top notch. Now I know who I'll go to if I need any other plumbing done.

Jesus did a really great job figuring out a tricky situation with our main drain line. He responded to us super quickly, he came quickly and on time, and he was completely upfront on the price in to fix it.  We found him via yelp and no douubt we will have him come back for any future plumbing issue!

Great job. Super fast. Came out on Saturday and replaced our sewage ejector pump in about 40 mins.

My wife's bathroom sink was clogged and not draining properly. I called Midwest Hydro to setup and appointment and they responded immediately. Danny and Jose showed up, took apart the bottom parts of the sink and showed me what the culprit of the clog was. They removed and cleaned all parts and fixed the sink in a matter of minutes. They cleaned their work area thoroughly and were out in less than an hour. Danny and Jose were both professional and personable in their job, and I would highly recommend this company and this tandem of Danny & Jose without hesitation. Great job and great people.

Brandon's team saved us last month when our sewer line started backing up. Of course it was over New Year's Eve and a weekend, but they came out right away and the price for emergency services was on par with what we expected.

Unfortunately it was an issue we soon found that would require a lot more time and equipment than they could get that day, as everything was closed for the holiday. They quickly lined up the shovel and pipes they needed and came back as soon as they possibly could (which was the Monday or Tuesday immediately after the holiday). They worked TIRELESSLY for days to get us the use of our drains back, staying quite late.

Wonderful caring company and team and we will absolutely be using them again in the future.

Darrell and his partner tackled a problem that had been lingering for months, which other electricians were unable to figure out.  They were amazingly responsive, professional, and thorough.  Never rushing to get the job done, but instead making sure that it was done 100% right.  They came out a couple times, even on evening time, and were a delight to work with.  Will not mess around with other companies in the future, they are my go-to for anything electric (and likely some upcoming plumbing), and I would highly recommend them to anyone working for the same.

We had a drain backup in the basement and needed help fast. Dmitri arrived on time, observed CoVid protocol, took off his shoes without having to be asked, and went right to work. He diagnosed the problem, worked hard to resolve the issue, and made some great suggestions to avoid future problems with tree roots in the pipes. He was polite, efficient, and thorough. I also spoke with the owner (also named Dmitri) and he was very easy to reach quickly, and quite helpful. I recommend this company!

Mike fixed our ancient tub faucet. He has lots of parts that fix old and new plumbing fixtures. Mike turned off the hot water, so he could determine that the hot water faucet was the faucet that needed repair. Mike has good detective skills. We will hire him again.

Just like other reviewers stated, Juan was super responsive and reasonable. I sent in my request on Yelp and he was one of the first companies responded.  Juan contacted me via phone and text, and sent me the quote and appointment within minutes! I'm so glad that I selected A&Y Plumbing based on the rave reviews from their customers. Hence I'm writing this review so others can benefit from their services.

We appreciate the professionalism and resourcefulness that Juan and his crew demonstrated throughout the whole process. They are not only very respectful and arrived on time, but also very good and thorough at what they do. They quickly identified and fixed the cause of the problem, explained how to prevent it from happening again, and also pointed out a couple of other areas to keep an eye on. My daughter was also very impressed by Juan's communication skills and mindfulness of the on-going pandemic. The crew strictly followed the CDC guidelines and kept their masks and shoe coverings on the whole time during the onsite visit.

We moved into a condo and discovered several plumbing issues that needed resolved (slow drains, things piped incorrectly, etc.). We've worked with Noel twice now and he's always promptly and professionally fixed our issues. He's great about explaining what needs done and will spend time with you walking through things. He's also a very nice guy! We plan to have him out again for another job soon.
