Friendly, fast and very knowledgeable.  We needed a handyman to come and re-attach our stove hood that fell off the wall the previous night.  Andrew was here the next morning and fixed it better than before.  Would definitely use him again.

Based on reviews from others, I guess they may be good. But in my case it did not go well at all from the start, or I should say it did not even start. We have small but multiple lighting and rewiring projects to be done at my residence and asked them for an estimate. They responded my online inquiry promptly and asked more information including taking pictures, which was the first week of September. After a few days of no action,  I asked for update on estimate, and the office manager responded and said to me it would take two-three weeks because they have to sort out their October scheduling at that point. I simply trusted her words and waited for two weeks, but no response. I again contacted them to see what's going on, and they said they were going to look at it. A week past after that and again no response. Finally I told them its has been almost a month since I asked for estimate, and now the owner replied that he would look at it. As of today, there has been no response since. They just lost a potential customer that was ready to hire, who was even considering them for future projects we have been planning. It is unfortunate because most of reviews here are good, which was the mainly reason I waited for such long period to just get an ESTIMATE. It would have been nice if they let us know our projects are too small for them and they would not take it, rather than leaving a potential customer high and dry.

Called due to a leaking hot water heater (cracked tank) and Alan was able to come out the same day to replace it. Super nice guy - took the time to explain care and maintenance of the unit while simultaneously working. Changed out the unit (which was under warranty) quickly despite a little confusion from the office. Big fan of Armbrust!

We needed to have our sewer replaced from the house to the street.  It could not be lined as it was sagging, so excavation was required.  Gary, Jr. and Gary, Sr. (owners) gave us a reasonable price and prompt service.  The job took much longer than they expected due to several abandoned sewer lines and drainage tiles that were discovered and had to be investigated.  They did a great job, both with the work and in dealing with the Village of Lombard because of unforeseen complications with the connection to the sewer under the street.   We did pay a bit more than the original quote due to all the extra time involved, but they could easily have asked for much more and it would have been justified.

A lot of plumbers will hit you up for all sorts of extras and try to scam you (just look at the Yelp reviews for some of these other companies), but these guys are very straight forward and easy to work with.  We highly recommend them.

I contacted Adam Hadib with A1-Services.  He answered his phone, no voicemail. He asked for photos of the work we needed done, then he sent me back his reasonable quote.

He was able to come out the next day to install our shower door. (He was booked up all week after Sunday).

He did a wonderful job! He was very personable; kind;considerate, & honest.

We will definitely call him again if needed.

When we had a problem that we thought we knew what had to be done, Welter plumbing gave us very honest and common sense advice. Any other plumber would most likely have jumped on our misconceived ideas about what had to be done to correct a problem and start chopping up the basement floor. Thank you once again to Welter plumbing for their honesty and sage advice. Finding a good and honest plumber seems rare these days.... so hats off to Welter!!!! Put these guys in your Rolodex now.... even if you don't need them at this moment.. I feel better just knowing they're around.

And then we talked to Audrey from DHP team and he was always very prompt and quick in action when it comes to knowing the problem to fix whether it be Undersink ,pipe line  and outdoor valve issues. As a property manager I am always in need of a good plumber, along with other trades. Central Plumbing Co was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. They were on time for the initial appointment to provide a quote and on time for the repairs. Prompt paperwork, repairs, and documentation. Their work quality was great and the employees took time to layout cardboard, drop clothes, and were thoughtful of the property. When I'm in need of a plumber in the future I will be using Central Plumbing Company.

All Affordable charged me much less for changing my water softener than Angel Water did. It was a good price and the whole process ran smooth and they were able to do it the same week I called!

I am glad I came here. I stopped at the big box stores and they had some options but nothing that would help with my issue. Once I got here I had the feeling they usually work with plumbers more but the staff here was and I could tell they had the experience and knew what they were talking about. In fact I drew out what my issue looked like and they talked me through a couple ways to fix it. They also had tons of options so you were bound to find what you needed. All my future plumbing issues I plan to come here for the experience of the staff and the large selection of options.

I am very thankful and grateful to Vilano plumbing, we had a situation where another contractor started the work and could not pass the city inspection, Vilano was highly recommended to me by a friend, so he came out and explained what was wrong, very knowledgeable, better than the inspector, he had to redo almost entire job but we passed inspection on the first time the inspector came back.

I needed a new lever for my toilet (and the plumber was here for backflow testing anyway).  Walked up 2 flight of stairs, flushed the toilet twice and said we needed a new lever.  He went to the hardware store on Madison (he said he had to go there anyway), they didn't have the part.  Ordered the part for $14.75.  Came today walked up 2 flights of stairs, put in the toilet lever (10 minutes) and the bill:  hold on to your chairs.....$223.25  I don't mind paying a fair price.  He said they were union plumbers, that's why the higher rates.  UGH.

My family has a couple of old brick buildings , we been doing business with South Chicago  Plumbing , since 1976. Great knowledge, very friendly, and most of all a great inventory of parts and supply for older buildings . They have the parts and supply that you cannot find any where around Chicago.  They recommend other shops if they don't have the parts. Now that's true business !!!
