Stefan responded quickly with a reasonable quote and his provided his availability. He came to replace two dimmer switches, but had brought the wrong type. He ran to the store to get the right items, completed the repair, gave me great advice on how to reduce my energy consumption, and charged the original flat fee he quoted. I definitely recommend his services!!

This review is long overdue. Darrell is hands down the best of the best. We reached out to him to receive an estimate on getting a bunch of electrical work done on our condo. He was quick to arrive, explain everything, and provide a really fair price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and will for sure be using his services in the future!

Speaking of the most recent visit, the technician found the problem within 5 minutes of starting work.   (It was a bad switch)   In order to make use of our time for the service call, we had the technician put some new electrical sockets around the house that we never got around to.  And he was so prompt and professional, we really felt the value of his visit.   Thank you T&D for being quick, prompt and thorough.  We will call you again as you are our GOTO electricians for any job, small or large.

My wife and I are in the middle of a whole bunch of improvement projects right now while we remodel our 1923 house. After getting a few different estimates for electrical work, we ended up hiring Joe to re-do our service (updating an old 60amp fuse box from the 40s to 100amp service with a breaker), update our old ungrounded outlets, and install some fans and light fixtures. The price we got was great for the work he was going to do, and for the quality of the work that he did.

I have to say that of the multiple contractors we've dealt with for various projects over the past 6 months during our remodeling, so far Joe is the only one who, to put it simply, did what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it, for how much he said it would be. No BS, no excuses, and quick to respond to questions we had. If all the contractors we've been working with for other projects were as good to us as Joe was, I'd have a few less gray hairs coming in. Next time we need electrical work done, we know who we'll be calling.

First of all, I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed I felt the need to write this one.  I needed a light switch replaced in my kitchen.  Chris responded quickly with a very fair estimate yesterday and was able to schedule an appointment for today.  Chris is professional, courteous, efficient and very reasonable with his charges.  I have already discussed having him replace some light fixtures in my house.  I highly recommend ALC Electric!

Greenline was prompt and easy to work with from the start - sent over some times that would work and showed up right on time.

We were having issues with the outlets on one wall going dead and Greenline was able to diagnose the issue quickly and get it fixed. They were also able to assess a standing desk (powered) that had suddenly stopped working and helped us get in contact with the manufacturer to submit a warranty claim on the internal motor components.

My husband Tony contacted Ryan yesterday regarding a partial power outage at my mother's home the night before. Tony met him there and he checked the electrical service box. Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

Their rates are reasonable.  Will use their services again.

Jake and Lenox were a great team- they were efficient and were able to locate the source of our electrical problem. They replaced 2 GFI's and have literally brought light back into our lives! We'll definitely be using them again.

Blacklite? Try BlackLIST. As in, I have blacklisted this firm without ever having communicated with anyone there-- which is the reason for the blackball. I had some electrical issues, I called them, left a detailed message AND followed it up with a text (which is evidently their preferred method of communication), and.. NO ONE called or texted back. No one.
Don't waste your time with this firm- they may not call you back at all.

We turned to Kinetic Energy a couple years ago on the recommendation of a neighbor, after another electrician did some inadequate work.  They're now the only electricians we'll work with.  They have installed lights and ceiling fans and wired our 1914 house for ethernet.  

Recently we had a couple scary incidents with the old cloth-covered wires... what seemed like shorts in two different spots in the house.  They showed up same-day to fix everything, and took extra time to explain to us what had happened.  It's a relief to know we're safe in our house!

I recently hired this electrician to install a Ring doorbell in my home and I couldn't be happier with his work! Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

I've used fixer twice now to install more complicated light fixtures and both times have been impressed. This second time especially, one of the fixers formerly built houses and his knowledge showed as he gave me some valuable advice on another project. They both arrived early, were extremely nice and were careful with the home, even bringing little slippers. Would definitely reach out again for projects!
