I hired Stefan to install a 240v outlet in my garage, replace some faulty GFCI outlets and install a few smart switches. He was responsive, transparent and efficient. The 240v outlet required a breaker which wasn't readily available but he did the research and found it a distant home depot which added incremental hours to job. He continued to maintain a positive attitude throughout the process and finished the job during the same day.

I contacted Darryl at 8:40pm for a 911 service. Darryl was at my house by 9:15pm and my circuit breaker panel plus two outlets were fixed by 10:00pm. Amazing service! Reasonable price! And my newborn did not have to spend a night without heat. Happy momma!! Highly recommend!

We had a lighting fixture that was not coming on, after months of trying to fix it on my own, Austin from T&D Electrical finally made it work. He also helped us by fixing two breakers that were constantly tripping. Setting up the appointment was super easy and they showed up right on time. Price was very reasonable. Will use them again for sure every time I need electrical work in my home or business.

Ted is great! Just hooked up my dryer in 15 minutes after 2 weeks of dealing with the store we bought it from. Called him and an hour later he was here. Definitely will be using him again.

Joe was fantastic. He corrected on my miswired pantry lights, installed can lights in the kitchen, and rewired the ceiling fan as well. Moving the switches to a new wall he made look so easy. He did this all in one day! My mother came in and said, the lights look like they have always been there. My son came in and said, Where's the dust and mess? Joe also has a cover for his drill that he created himself to eliminate the dust offspray. AAAA++++ professional and a delight to talk with. Will use again and recommend undoubtedly. Go with joe!

I needed some electrical work done in my garage and MNC did great work.  Quick response, quality work and a good price.  I recommend.

We had issues with an outdoor outlet nuisance tripping during heavy rain, even after having a new cover installed.  Unfortunately this outlet shared a circuit with our bedroom and office outlets, so the tripping caused heavy disruption.   It was particularly bad very early one morning after a stormy night, which left me scrambling at 7:15am trying to find an electrician.  Greenline answered immediately and was able to come out later that afternoon.  After some troubleshooting and exploratory work, the recommendation was to put the GCFI outlet on a dedicated circuit to prevent further disruption.  They came back the next day and did so quickly and efficiently, and even replaced the cover with a more durable one.  They also thoughtfully replaced our old and worn bedroom light switches and a scarred outlet for free - I really appreciated their thoughtfulness here.  They did all this for a very reasonable price and were easy to work with and communicative every step of the way.  I highly recommend them if you need any electrical work done!

We came to Ryan with a maddening intermittent problem: electricity in parts of a house would turn itself off and then turn itself back on, some highly variable amount of time later.  Some times, hours later.  With this happening more than once a day, the house was basically unlivable.

Ryan was able to quickly track down the problem and, even though it was close to the end of a normal business day, he worked well past that to procure the replacement part and install it that same day.

It's been a week with no further incident, so I'm convinced he found the root cause, and I'm as happy as I can be.

I officially have found my electricians. The team was friendly, timely, and great to work with. They laughed as we tried to figure out some interesting dynamics with my wiring.

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

After attempting to install a new light fixture myself I ran into an electrical road block.  Jose of Tweaks & Finishes responded promptly to my request for an estimate, and scheduled the service call for the same day!  Jose, accompanied by Rodney arrived on time, and treated me and my home with such care and respect.  Jose was extremely knowledgeable, and quickly diagnosed my electrical problem-explaining the issue(s) found along the way.  A quick replacement of a burnt out dimmer switch restored my lighting, and mended the mess I created. Jose and Rodney also cleaned up the wires behind my many wall switches which they found to be a safety hazard, and installed my new ceiling light-all at a reasonable price within my budget.  Both gentlemen were kind, professional, and mindful-cleaning up after any small mess that was made.  I am thankful to have found Tweaks & Finishes, I am looking forward to using them again in the future for a painting project. We were very pleased with Blacklite Electric's service and would recommend this company for any projects (Large or small).  Neville was professional, a knowledgeable electrician, arrived on-time, and very polite.  We would definitely use them again, if we have any other electrical problems.  Below is a list of electrical issues we had and was fixed by Neville in a couple of hours.  He also provided an estimate the next day on other issues that was not a priority to fix at the time.  

1) Ceiling fan switch not working properly. It would turn on when it wanted to??

2) Wall sconce light fixture. Same issue, it would turn on when it wanted to??

Amazing service! If I can give them more stars I would! This was the best experience ever. Being a first time home buyer, Danny was amazing. He made it so easy and was so nice. Tom and his crew do such great work! Highly recommend them. They installed 4 outdoor outlets in our yard and also trenched wires underground so they were no longer exposed to the elements. They were on time, flexible, and just care about doing the job right. Tom is a really nice guy who walks you through all the work ahead of time. Don't hesitate to reach out to him!

Ted changed out fixtures throughout our house, including a difficult chandelier in our dining room. He also fixed a hot outlet and looked at our garage electrical. He was on time, fairly priced, and did great work. We'll be using him again.

Alex did a great job replacing a broken switch. He responded quickly to my initial request and was fast in communicating throughout the scheduling process. We are very happy with the quality of work.
We'll likely have to have most of our old wiring replaced and are looking forward to have Alex and his team back. Seems to be a newer company, and I'm glad we took a chance on them.

Great experience with Fixer. Used them to hang heavy artwork. Will definitely use them for other projects in the future.
