I put out my project for several quotes through Yelp, and I got a mixed bag of responses. Stefan was the ONLY contractor who didn't jerk me around.
When he came out to discuss the job, he had a plan, a schedule and I was very comfortable with his approach. Hired him on the spot... cancelled other contractor visits.
The work he did was top notch. He used proper materials, and even stayed late to get the job done. No shortcuts.
Cleaned up after himself even though it was a long day.
Can't say enough good things. Just call this guy.

We purchased a 2-flat building and T&D Electrical helped us get up to code in order for ComEd to install a permanent connection. Marcus was incredible -- while we initially experienced issues with the ComEd inspector (requiring that we install a lattice on our 2nd level porch to make incoming power lines inaccessible), which delayed completion, Marcus helped us see the project through to completion. He had a carpenter come over and install the lattice, communicated with ComEd, and was at the property multiple times -- to meet the carpenter and to meet the inspector. And we are now completely up to code, having passed ComEd's inspection. Thank you Marcus and T&D Electrical for your superb work ethic and dedication!

Ted promptly replied to my estimate request and we were able to set up time a few days after. We had problems replacing a new outlet due to old wiring. Ted provided the estimate and that the job would take an hour which was accurate. He also kept us informed when he was running a bit behind due to traffic. Much appreciated since other contractors aren't always like this. He did a great job replacing the outlet, provided recommendations for the old wiring system, and even let us know the value in switching to LED bulbs.I highly recommend using Ted for electrical work. I know we will call him for future jobs!

Joe is the best. Thoughtful. Detail oriented. Fair pricing. He came to our home (built in 1969) and added 38 recessed / can lights all over the house. I almost don't want to review him so he doesn't get booked up, but he deserves all the work that comes his way!

So I just purchased a new home and having some circuit breaker issues. Found Chris on Yelp very nice guy. Very responsive. Came right out, Fix the issue under 15 minutes so I will definitely be calling him back out to finish the work, Definitely give Chris a call or give him a chance if you are having any type of issues with circuit breakers or electrical issues definitely recommend this business. Ryan hung a ceiling fan that I was unable to hang safely and had given up -- though I'd successfully hung the exact model in another room in the house.  He's a creative problem solver, and we carried on an interesting conversation as he worked.  Final cost was LESS than he estimated.

This company has a 5 star rating for a reason. I needed to add 10 recessed can lights to my ceiling and asked Highlights to give me a proposal. After spending just 10 minutes with the owner, Boz I had a comfort level that this guy was genuine and cared deeply about the quality of his work and my satisfaction. His price came in line with other the other bids I received and I thought overall was very fair. After selecting Highlights to do the work my impression was confirmed by the team he sent. They were super professional and just all around nice people. They worked efficiently and ended up saving me much money by completing the project without me having to do any drywall patching or painting- absolutely incredible! They even totally cleaned up afterward (including wiping down the floor). Something that used to be a standard but hard to find these days. I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ENOUGH. I will certainly be calling them again for my next electrical project.

I hired Jake and Urban Power to add two electrical meters and relocate the circuit breakers out of the garden unit to a common area so all tenants could have access to them at my 3-Flat property.  He is a master of his craft and did a great job providing solutions to the issues I presented and working efficiently on the install and relocation as well as managing the permitting process with Com-Ed.  He has deep experience working with rental properties and gave me some great insights to add value to the property including installing security lighting which I hired him to do as well.  I would highly recommend Jake and Urban Power for any electrical job big or small.

Johnny did a great job fixing the wiring for a ceiling fixture in our house. He showed up even a bit early, and was prompt and careful about both keeping the house clean and COVID regulations. Pricing was transparent from the beginning, reasonable, and easy to do through Venmo. The whole process was easy to set up and pay -- all done via text with the owner Neville. I will be using them again if we need an electrician!

I used Kinetic Energy after a lackluster experience with another company. Kinetic has been a joy to work with (though no one wants electrical issues!).  

Even when they are busy, they are quick to respond and they always arrive on time and are able to identify issues and fix anything that's needed. Even for scheduled light fixture installations, they've been quick and always keep me informed of what they've done and work efficiently.  They've also always cleaned up spotlessly which is always helpful.

I had 3 people come out for discussions on our project and Tom came up with great recommendations for outdoor installation of lights and fixed some landscaping spotlights. He was reliable, helped pick out products and did a great job.  I'd definitely recommend him and will use him for future projects.

Frank is very professional.  Showed up when he said he would, explained what he was doing, and even provided a lower price than what he first quoted.  I will definitely call him again for any electrical job.  Highly recommend!

Alex responded to my posting quickly, was clear on costs, and came out at 8am the following day as promised. I gave wrong information on parts and he was ready with solutions to salvage the job and gave great advice. Would definitely hire again.

Booking was easy for a bathroom caulking job. The guy showed up on time but did a lousy job. Didn't remove old caulking properly and the new one started to be peeling off  just a couple days later. If you need any serious work hire a professional instead.
