Darrell and crew did an excellent job for us. Darrell is very patient and thorough in explaining what he would suggest doing for our job and making sure everything worked properly once installed. The crew wore masks, consistently put on shoe covers and/or took shoes off when entering the home and they take the time to clean up after the work.

This is a follow up to my previous review.  In short, T&D told me I needed a new transformer for my chandelier and that I had to find and order the transformer myself.  T&D would not order it.  It turns out T&D was 100% wrong.  I only needed new wire nuts that cost about $1.  T&D charged me $135 to incorrectly tell me that I needed a new transformer.  
Previous review: T&D was atrocious.  I do not think they are qualified to handle most electrical services.  I called them and explained that a chandelier was no longer working after the circuit breaker tripped one time.  The electrician came out and said that I needed a new transformer inside of the chandelier but they would NOT order it because they considered it a special order part.  Since they do not order parts, they should have told me that when I called.  I never would have had them come out.  To make matters worse the electrician took the chandelier and canopy down but did not want to put it back up.  He wanted to leave wires out in the open.  He eventually put it back up but did not do it correctly.  Now I am out of $135 and have nothing to show for it.  I have to hire another electrician who can order the part and install it.

Ted and his son were great!  Ted was very responsive in getting me a quote and setting up an appointment time.  He confirmed with me the day of, and showed up on time.  He installed light fixtures and changed a switch for me.  Pointed something out that would have been a huge mistake on my part as to the type of lighting fixture that I had purchased.  Very friendly guys, I will not hesitate in contacting them again in the future for any electrical work.

Joe was knowledgable, personable, and charged a fair price. He fixed several faulty switches in our home quickly and efficiently.

So I just purchased a new home and having some circuit breaker issues. Found Chris on Yelp very nice guy. Very responsive. Came right out, Fix the issue under 15 minutes so I will definitely be calling him back out to finish the work, Definitely give Chris a call or give him a chance if you are having any type of issues with circuit breakers or electrical issues definitely recommend this business. Hm.  I'm not sure if this company ever served me, but I ended up in a spot on the Yelp website where I had to leave a review or at least stars... so 5 stars or zero stars?  I'm more of a five star person, so there you go.

Thorough Professional.

We came to Ryan with a maddening intermittent problem: electricity in parts of a house would turn itself off and then turn itself back on, some highly variable amount of time later.  Some times, hours later.  With this happening more than once a day, the house was basically unlivable.

Ryan was able to quickly track down the problem and, even though it was close to the end of a normal business day, he worked well past that to procure the replacement part and install it that same day.

It's been a week with no further incident, so I'm convinced he found the root cause, and I'm as happy as I can be.

Guys did a great job. Came out quickly for an estimate,  worked quickly,  and even helped us push our basement appliances and tables back when done. They even swept up afterwards!  Great guys, great service, reasonable prices. Strongly recommended.

Rodney and his team did a wonderful job painting our entire condo! The walls needed painting and caulking in some spots and now the walls look brand new. They were very clear about communication, responsive, and reliable. They also painted everything more quickly than expected, which was great! They covered all of our things nicely and I love how our walls look now! They are also covid-safe. I am so happy we went with them and would definitely hire them again for future painting needs.

I hired Jake and Urban Power to add two electrical meters and relocate the circuit breakers out of the garden unit to a common area so all tenants could have access to them at my 3-Flat property.  He is a master of his craft and did a great job providing solutions to the issues I presented and working efficiently on the install and relocation as well as managing the permitting process with Com-Ed.  He has deep experience working with rental properties and gave me some great insights to add value to the property including installing security lighting which I hired him to do as well.  I would highly recommend Jake and Urban Power for any electrical job big or small.

I called Neville this morning (holiday weekend) and he was over here within an hour or two.  Very friendly and informative.  He gave me some tips on future work I should be able to handle myself.  I highly recommend Blacklite Electric!

Ted and his crew have been doing work on our Oak Park bungalow for a number of years. He's honest, reliable, fair, and accepts your problems as his own. I had Ted rewire a bunch of antique light fixtures for our basement. He not only got everything working, but helped figure out the best way to install to maximize functionality and beauty. He swapped out electrical fans. Installed sensor lights outside. Upgraded our amp panel. Generally, I trust that if I present Ted with a problem, he'll solve it and solve it at a reasonable rate.

A++ in all aspects. I had great pleasure to hire Tom's company for our house project. The project included multiple rooms. Complete Bath and kitchen electrical renovation. Two bathrooms received outlets, switches, can lights and fans. The kitchen received  new can lights and outlets. Living room got new can lights. We also added wired smoke detectors throughout the house. Tom was a total professional when he came in for the estimate. Everything was explained so that there were no surprises any time during the project and he made sure that we understood the work that was going to take place. Prices were very competitive, and work was done in the time promised. Tom made sure that everything was done right, to code and left everything clean and spotless. I would definitely hire again. Highly recommended.

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

Best pricing around and great young guy working hard for his business. Highly recommended.

I've used fixer twice now to install more complicated light fixtures and both times have been impressed. This second time especially, one of the fixers formerly built houses and his knowledge showed as he gave me some valuable advice on another project. They both arrived early, were extremely nice and were careful with the home, even bringing little slippers. Would definitely reach out again for projects!

The customer service has also been fantastic - from following up and helping to schedule to the overall ease of booking.
