Stefan is great! He helped us install a 240V outlet for our EV charger. He is reliable, easy to communicate with, and efficient with his work. I highly recommend.

At first, this electrician seemed promising.  Darrell came out the same day I contacted them to provide an estimate.  We were doing some delicate electrical work that involved drilling a hole into the side or our condo, while avoiding gas and water lines.  So we wanted to be careful about who we used for the job.  Darrell provided a price and answered all of our questions. Due to work schedules, we need the work to be done on a weekend.  So, we booked something 10 days out, given that Darrell was could not do it on a weekend sooner than that.  The night before our Saturday morning appointment, Darrell texted that he could not make it and needed to reschedule.  After we waited 10 days for him, he told us 15 hours before the appointment that he could not make it.  Had he told us anytime in the preceding week and a half, we would have lined up another electrician.  So he really left us hanging.  And we had also scheduled the rest of our Saturday agenda around his availability. So he wasted our time in every respect.  Very unprofessional.

Amazing service, communication and very competitive pricing.  My building downtown has strict rules on work being done and T&d was great!  I'll be using them again for any electric work needed.

I had Ted out to my house in La Grange Park to troubleshoot a couple of outlets that had stopped working.  I am somewhat technical myself, and was able to diagnose the problem, but not locate it.  That's when I texted Ted.  Yes, you can text him directly.  I don't know about you, but I thought that was a great feature; very convenient! So anyway, Ted came out on Monday (I'd originally reached out to him on a Sunday, and while he doesn't do Sunday housecalls (totally understandable) he DID respond to me on Sunday right away, and we set up a time for the next day.  He arrived on time, and I had told him what I had done to investigate (I'd determined that it was a broken neutral somewhere in the conduit feeding these two kitchen outlets, but I couldn't find the break).  He was patient and helpful as I was explaining all of this, and agreed with my assessment.  Since I was curious, I watched him while he worked, and he explained what he was doing the whole time, because he knew I was interested.  While we were discussing this, we also talked about some other improvements that we could make to the electrical at my house (balancing circuits between the two hot feeds coming into my house, and stuck around while I played with different pieces of equipment (I have a lot of computers ;p ) to see how we could save on my power bills.  After we did that, I noticed that my power bills have decreased by about 10%!  He also was willing to stick around and install an motion-sensing light switch that I had been unable to get to work properly.  All of this extra stuff was not discussed ahead of time, but he was willing to take the extra time to help me out.  I have found my electrician for all my future needs.  Ted is great, you should call (or text!) him today!

Called wire nuts last night and he was at our house the next day. In short order he had our problem, diagnosed and fixed. Would recommend him for your electrical needs.

Christian was responsive and professional. He fixed the issue quickly and within 24 hours of requesting the quote on Yelp.

Greenline was prompt and easy to work with from the start - sent over some times that would work and showed up right on time.

We were having issues with the outlets on one wall going dead and Greenline was able to diagnose the issue quickly and get it fixed. They were also able to assess a standing desk (powered) that had suddenly stopped working and helped us get in contact with the manufacturer to submit a warranty claim on the internal motor components.

Highly recommend to anyone in the Chicago area who needs an electrician.

Ryan showed up six hours late. Replace two outlets and charge us $600.

If you need electrician, look elsewhere.

Spoke to receptionist and was told I would get a call back. Never did. I guess business is not important to them.
Update: The next day I received a call from Kamal, (hope I spelled this correctly) who apologized and told me the reason why the call had not been returned. He then proceeded to inquire about my electrical issue and asked me to send him a picture of the issue so that he could direct the proper assistance (someone dealing in low voltage) to me. This is a man who cares about his business and I much appreciate his reaching out to me. I appreciate his offer of assistance to direct me to a technician who does deal with my specific issue. I have changed my rating of this business and wish to thank Kamal for his customer care and concern.

Rogelio did a good job on our building. Repaired some outlets, in the apartment, garage, and outside of the building. He shared photos of his progress. We talk over the phone to clarify details and got a quote on the spot for additional work that was necessary and was finished the same day after getting the parts needed.
He is also bilingual, what helps communicating easier for a larger population group.
All good overall.

Very happy with the work Tweaks & Finishes did. We've used them multiple times to hang lamps, switch out fixtures, and switch out switches. They were easy to get a hold of, easy to schedule, and kept us informed of what they were doing as they were doing it. They made some recommendations for our fixtures and switches to work more efficiently. They completed the work quickly and professionally. Will continue to use them for any electrical work.

Great prices, quick work, friendly guy. Called 4 other electricians and they all quoted me about $100-200 for the same job. Definitely recommend.

Worst service experience ever. I called this place today and just got a texy back saying in meeting can't talk....um ok. That's cool.

Texted him saying I needed help fast and that my lights in kitchen and that I read all his amazing reviews on Yelp.com and I was calling him first based on the reviews.

I heard nothing.....this was 2pm.

At 3pm, I asked if he was still in a meeting. Nothing.

I called Mr. Mighty Electric who was helpful and got here reasonably fast...and it's not that I needed someone super fast....a response would be nice.

Anyway, so I texted again at 5:30pm, saying hello? ...nothing until around 6pm where the dude is telling me he can't do a voice call but can just text me and help me troubleshoot. Um...no. If that was what I needed, I have Google and YouTube for that. I called because I needed someone to come here. I guess I was not worth it.

I am going to make this as short as possible without skimping on the important details.

Purchased a home in Forest Park which required some outdoor electrical work to be completed to be in compliance with the Village Inspector's requirements. It is my understanding that this is very basic work and most older homes in the Village require this work upon sale.
Hired Kinetic based on recommendation from my agent and Yelp/Facebook/Nextdoor reviews. The prior owner received a quote of $1200 for the work from another company - I sent that estimate to Kinetic and asked if they could match it. They sent out someone to take a look and afterwards quoted me at $1400 via email. I agreed to the $1400 (also via email) as the company was so highly rated and I wanted it to be done correctly.
Sequence of events:
1. Work was performed - required the power to be out from 8am to around 5pm on a weekday.
2. Village inspector and Kinetic rep returned to do the post-work inspection. The work failed inspection. I'm not exactly sure how you fail inspection on a routine job.
3. They came back on a Saturday morning to correct the work. Re-inspection occurred 4 days later and it passed. I was told more than once that they would be reducing the bill due to my pain and suffering - having failed inspection and because we had to have our power out for another 3 hours to have the issue corrected. At this point I was still considering a 3/5 review as the rep was very apologetic about this whole mess and came out on a weekend as we are WFH during the week and need power.
4. Received the invoice totaling $1712 due after a $250 pain and suffering discount. Emailed them back as I'm not sure how $1400 became $1,962 when it was supposed to be less than the original estimate for my trouble. They said they had a conversation with my husband about additional charges? No way in hell that happened. Nonetheless, they said it happened when the in person estimate was made. However, we received the written estimate for $1400 after the in person estimate. Anything that was (or wasn't) discussed should have been reflected in the written estimate.
5. They agreed to $1400 to put this job behind us and we paid it so I could be done with the mess as well.
I have all of this in writing and I keep meticulous notes on anything that I pay for. I didn't even want to waste any more keystrokes on this, but since I hired them partially based on Yelp reviews, I felt that I needed to share my experience. I am giving them 2 stars only because everyone was pretty pleasant. Just wish it would have turned out better.

They also drilled a large screw through my newly-finished porch. No warning on that. Picture attached.

I had a second great experience with Fixer today. The first was over the summer, when Nathan repaired bathroom vanity lights, and he was amazing. Today Angel spent some quality time at my shoebox palace condo here in the city. He was right on time, got through my entire list, was knowledgeable, organized, and professional, and provided guidance on the RIGHT parts I should buy so he can come back and finish up two final projects.
