I had an issue last week where I had partial power in my apartment. Stefan was very responsive and was able to come the very next day. He arrived on time and was very helpful and professional. He walked me through options on what we could potentially do as a fix. In the end, he was able to fix the issue without it being a huge expense which was amazing and I was very thankful for. I am still going to consider a more long term fix that Stefan suggested, and would definitely use him for that work as well.

Darrell and his crew were great. They helped us fix an older electrical issue in our condo and brought it up to code. They installed a fan with a new switch in our master bedroom and updated our under cabinet lights in our kitchen. We appreciate the group of professionals that are on his team. Anel, Eli, and Enis did an excellent job, we would highly recommend their services.

We had a lighting fixture that was not coming on, after months of trying to fix it on my own, Austin from T&D Electrical finally made it work. He also helped us by fixing two breakers that were constantly tripping. Setting up the appointment was super easy and they showed up right on time. Price was very reasonable. Will use them again for sure every time I need electrical work in my home or business.

First of all, I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed I felt the need to write this one.  I needed a light switch replaced in my kitchen.  Chris responded quickly with a very fair estimate yesterday and was able to schedule an appointment for today.  Chris is professional, courteous, efficient and very reasonable with his charges.  I have already discussed having him replace some light fixtures in my house.  I highly recommend ALC Electric!

My HOA had a complex electrical problem and had been ditched or ghosted by the Board's previously employed electricians who found the problem too complex, and too difficult to solve without a massive expense to the HOA that would have required a special assessment.
Within MINUTES, Highlights' brilliant owner Boz was able to assess the situation, strategized a clear game plan, was provide an estimate for work that other electricians were not capable of estimating, and then came to the site himself again when he brought his team out to deliver results. 

His team, Ben and Darrell, were able to quickly trouble shoot, assess the scope of work needed for the complex problem the HOA was facing with an aging system, and come up with a fast solution that made everyone happy and saved the HOA a ton of money. 
Ben and Darrell quickly restored power to our complex that had been out for 4 months at a fraction of the estimated time and materials cost that others -- who were clearly out of their depth -- were estimated. Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

Fantastic guys. Knowledgeable and experienced. Upfront pricing unlike when I reached out to Jiffy (an online service provider). On-time and was totally professional and I absolutely love my installed dining room light. I will be using them when I move into my new home.

Highly recommend Jake and his team for electrical projects large and small. Early on during COVID he installed a new outlet so we could relocate a desk and while there provided some options for adding light to our dimly lit basement. We finally contacted him for the basement work and he responded right away and was able to come within a few days. The basement looks fantastic and Jake went out of his way making multiple trips to stores looking for hard to find parts. Fair prices and high quality work!

After the fan that Blacklite installed crapped out (Home Depot mysteriously discontinued the fan and won't replace), Blacklite looked to repair it, but it had to be replaced. We received same day service from Dennis. He was efficient, pleasant, and quick. I would never think about another electrician!!

It was a pleasure to see Ted again when he came to make the estimate, and Carlos and Steve were so expert and thorough. To see my Chicago bungalow abandon its dated ceiling fans, now that I have (very effective) central air, and now to enjoy a very natural looking track lighting, was thrilling. Traci in the office ensuresd closure and follow-through on all steps of the process. As the company has grown through its successes, it still feels like a loving family business.

A++ in all aspects. I had great pleasure to hire Tom's company for our house project. The project included multiple rooms. Complete Bath and kitchen electrical renovation. Two bathrooms received outlets, switches, can lights and fans. The kitchen received  new can lights and outlets. Living room got new can lights. We also added wired smoke detectors throughout the house. Tom was a total professional when he came in for the estimate. Everything was explained so that there were no surprises any time during the project and he made sure that we understood the work that was going to take place. Prices were very competitive, and work was done in the time promised. Tom made sure that everything was done right, to code and left everything clean and spotless. I would definitely hire again. Highly recommended.

Ted changed out fixtures throughout our house, including a difficult chandelier in our dining room. He also fixed a hot outlet and looked at our garage electrical. He was on time, fairly priced, and did great work. We'll be using him again.

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

Best pricing around and great young guy working hard for his business. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend for a variety of tasks! We've used Fixer for pluming and thermostat help and have been very pleased! They are the go-to solution for small jobs but bigger than DIY. Edgar was our fixer this morning and was great!
