We woke up to find our water heater expansion tank had been spraying water all over our utility closet for hours.  We called at 7:30AM, he talked us through how to stop the water from continuing to spray and was over by 10AM with a replacement tank.  Within a half hour, we were set and he provided some good tips to catch any future issues.  Incredibly helpful and couldn't be happier with the service.

Called these folks to re connect our utility sink in the basement and fix a broken pipe. We worked with Vincent and he was really nice, gave us a competitive quote, and walked us through what he would do to fix our issue. He was such a pleasure to work with that we asked him back for help on a few other issues we'd come across as new home owners. I really appreciate when people who know their craft well take the time to explain what they're doing. We will definitely be calling Vincent back when we're ready to put in our bathroom downstairs.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. Truly an amazing company.  I originally called Chicago sewer and Drain for an issue I was having relating to my furnace drain in the wall.  My home warranty company later assigned their own technician, so I cancelled my appointment with Chicago sewer and Drain.  The company selected by my warranty,  didn't do anything so I called Chicago Sewer and Drain back and they were able to come same day.  That was truly amazing.  With in a matter of minutes he was able to diagnosis the issue and give me an upfront transparent price with no hidden hourly rates or fees.  The technician was honest, transparent, and confident.  I also forgot to mention I'm active duty military and this is a rental property, so we were able to complete the entire experience via phone.  He additionally documented his work by allowing me to see the issue via video and to hear the problem.  I've never had any technician go above and beyond like them.  They are trustworthy, honest, fair and I will use them again and highly recommend.

I have two properties in the city, one a rental, one our home and both are OLD.   I have had Jose and his team out for things like opening drains, to doing pretty extensive rebuilds of 80 year old clay pipe.  Their prices are good, and they do what they say are going to do without any hassle.  I've had some very bad experiences with other contractors, but these are good solid guys that work hard and give you a fair deal.  I can't give much better praise than that.

Fast Response, fair price, quick and tidy service!

I hired sound plumbing to install new pipes for a bathroom I was building on my second floor. They were incredible to work with. Kevin was a helpful collaborator who worked around my DIY project and even gave me ideas on how to make it better. They were transparent about their pricing and worked with me to come out under their original estimate. All the people I interacted with were helpful, charming, and took the time to explain things with me. 5/5 would work with them again. Great small business

The old wallet's feeling a bit lighter after being slapped with a $900 fee for what, two johns(standard round toilets) that I supplied to the plumber, along with a rubber and wax ring that I had on hand.  Sounds a bit rich to me, doesn't it to you? No curveballs thrown in the way, no pesky repair flanges to contend with(because i removed it), and yet...the plumber decides to slap on his own putty instead of opting for the tried and true gasket? Not to mention the job was done in two hours on the dot. ($900 for labor??)
A bit curious, I must say. Had I known the
final tally, I might've taken matters into my
own hands. A bit of elbow grease and a
trusty flange removal tool, and I would have been all set.
And so, my friends, it seems like it's time to
put pen to paper and share my experience
with the world. Let others know the ins and
outs of these plumbing shenanigans without
holding back on the details. After all,
knowledge is power and power is..well, you
know the rest.

(A side note,  he removed a water filtration from under the kitchen sink that was supposed to be removed on the last visit.  Also he found clay like grease in the pea trap that was also supposed to be snaked the last visit as well but apparently didn't happen,  so these tasks should have been complimentary)

The team from Midwest Hydro Jetting showed up to my house fast to help clear the line to my basement. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly, and literally saved my basement from flooding. After the line was clear the team took the time to clean up standing water in my basement. The pricing was fair and the extra time the team took to show me what was happening and how to prevent it in the future was outstanding. It took me years to find a company I can trust in my home and I'll never call another.

Adam was great. Good at communicating his schedule. He found the issue (that a different company missed) and fixed it in an afternoon.

Darrell has come to my condo on two occasions for electrical work and did a great job fixing our issues. He communicates well and is reasonably priced. Thanks Darrell!

The plumber was on time, he was courteous and even covered his boots with booties so as not to track into our house. He took pictures of the work and showed it to me when the job was finished. The internet said the job would take a few hours, he was done in 40 minutes. He cleaned up nicely. You wouldn't even know he had been there.  
So far, the repair of our toilet has held up and I expect it will. Should we need a plumber again, ABV will be our first call.

I called them after multiple pipes had frozen, thawed, and burst in our home. They got back to us right away and helped us the following morning. Dmitry methodically figured out each issue, checked in to explain what was happening, fixed the issue, and got us back on our feet in a day. And did so with care to preserve as much of our fixtures and bathroom as possible. An honest, responsive plumbing company we will be sure to call the next time we have an issue.

I had a rocky toilet that was supposedly fixed by Chicagoland Handyman in June of 2022, but five months later the rocking was back. I searched for a plumber to fix this unsteady toilet once and for all. I called Mike the Plumber. He was able to come out the next day and was able to to stabilize my toilet. Mike the Plumber was very nice as he explained what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it. He said if the rocking comes back (which it won't) he will tend to it. I will definitely call Mike the Plumber for any future plumbing issues in my old building. Thank you Mike!

Juan gave me a fair quote right away.  He and his brother drained my old tank took it back to the store with me and got the new one brought it back and hooked it up.  They even helped get a snake out of my basement that crawled up the drain hole.
Very kind, polite honest.  I would recommend then to anyon.

I used Noel's service three times in the past four years. He always responded quickly and tried to accommodate my schedule. In all three cases I called other plumbers but ended up picking him because he could come sooner than everybody else.
