I can't say enough great things about Pat and Drain-EEZ Plumbing!  

Our garbage disposal has been broken for weeks and I finally called Drain-EEZ yesterday to set-up an appointment based on all the positive Yelp reviews.  The receptionist was friendly and helpful and when I asked if there was anything else I should troubleshoot before having to buy a new disposal, she told me to wait and talk to the plumber.  

Pat came on the phone and walked me through all the tricks to fix the disposal myself.  It was amazing that he could tell through the cell phone with the water running that the blades were not spinning and that there must be something still stuck inside.  He waited on the phone the whole time.

After we got off the phone I was able to find the culprit... a small piece of plastic lodged in the side.  I am grateful that Pat didn't charge me for the time, insist on coming out or push replacing the disposal just to make a few bucks.

Drain-EEZ will be the first plumber I call when I have any issues and I won't hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

You know what a good feeling it is when you find an auto mechanic, barber, doctor, etc. that you feel good about and can trust ... Right?
I now have a water heater guy I can add to that list. Mac was everything a guy could ask for in a service provider. Honest, reasonable, on time and patient. He answered all of my questions and actually steered me away from a larger water heater even though he probably could have made more money on it.
He was friendly, engaging, funny and a straight shooter. If Yelp had 10 stars, I'd have turned it up to 11.

Had originally booked my usual service to clear a clogged /backed up drain. Though when the time window came along I got a prompt call asking if they could reschedule to the following day. That too after waiting most of the day. (Unfortunate events occurred and they were stuck on other calls.) I needed this drain cleared pronto and could not wait any longer. So, I leaned on a referral a friend passed along and called Rescue.

From the time I placed the call to the time they were on my property, the rescue operation went quick and they were in and out in no time. I was surprised at how quickly my service window was offered and the time they made it on site. Note, the repair happened a couple weeks back during lockdown. I was assured that their staff would have ppe on when dealing with the public.

The work: A clogged kitchen sink on the first floor of an apartment building. In apartment buildings the line is shared (with those above it) and in the event of a clog or backup, that unit will suffer the backup of all (however many) units.

The cost: Affordable.

The next time I've got a plumbing emergency, glad to know another trusted service provider I can call to the Rescue.

There is a reason this guy doesn't have a review of less than 5 stars. He's good.  And dependable. Scott came out on a Monday after I messaged him late on Saturday. He saved us $3-4k.  We found our new go to plumber.

Garbage disposal went bust - Rocket Plumbing was easy to schedule the work, and Anthony did a great job with the repair. He also provided feedback on basic usage of the disposal for future use. I plan to use them again in the future.

I was cleaning out pipes under the kitchen sink when I noticed the pipe extending out of the wall was very loose. I cut through the back of the kitchen cabinet to see what was going on and the pipe was not even attached. It had become unattached because it was apparently never installed correctly by a DIY project before we lived here. I called Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals in the evening and they were able to come out the morning of the next day. JR was very helpful and fixed the issue. We then noticed that the water was not draining very quickly. He ran the pipe snake and found the largest most disgusting clump of hair far down the pipes. All is fixed now and I would definitely recommend this company and we plan to use them again for some plumbing work we have for the future.

Great small business that gave exceptional service.  I live in a hundred year old house and had a simple problem, once they fixed that problem, they discovered a bigger problem waiting to happen.  They went to the hardware store, did what they could, told me they had a major job the next day (a Friday) and would try to be back tomorrow to take care of everything.  I was a little nervous when it was 4:00pm on Friday and I hadn't heard, but sure enough they showed up again and were able to get everything fixed.  I waited 3 weeks to write this email and have had zero problems with the work completed.

Avoid these guys.  Came in to fix my toilets which were running.  They replaced 2 flappers and gaskets for $450.  This would have been fine if everything worked.  But hours later the toilet was still running.  

He came back and eventually fixed it.  But then after 1-2 days a terrible sewer smell came from the toilet.  We've never had anything like this.  

When I asked them to come back for the sewer smell, we made an appointment and then they cancelled on me last minute.  

So out $450, new problem, and not reliable about appointments.

Not a good plumber.  Look elsewhere.

We have used Sound Plumbing twice now. Both experiences have been excellent. The first time they responded promptly to a leak and repaired it quickly. The second time we called them to upgrade our kitchen faucet and bathroom shower. Both times we received prompt and friendly five star service.

The team went above and beyond to find a solution to my problem. Will definitely be calling them again next time I run into an issue

My review goes beyond just a review.  This is a note of personal gratitude from our family to Kevin and his team.  I don't know why plumbing problems cannot happen to us on say a regular Tuesday in the morning, but it was Saturday at 5 pm on Labor Day weekend, and we had a leak.  Not just a leak, but a horrible, smelly problem coming from the stack in the basement with backed up water running through our ceiling and no usable toilets.  And 2 kids... all facing a long holiday weekend.  I called multiple local places, and nobody was available.  I called Green Tech based on their all-star reviews, and I talked with Nick. At first he said he didn't service this area, but he said he was happy to talk with me on the phone (for free) just to try to get the problem under control.  He gave me the name of a local plumber, and I called - but no answer.  I called Nick back just desperate.  I know they do not normally service this area, and it was a long drive, but he knew the situation and said he would call his guy and see if he could work it out -- which he did.  I feel badly that I cannot remember the name of the guy who came out and saved us.  He was fantastic.  He explained the problem, which was tree roots in our sewer that had finally backed everything up.  He rooted it all out -- a horrible job -- and tested everything in our house to make sure we were back to normal.  A day later you would never know we had a problem.  No more smell, toilets all working, yay.   I cannot imagine where we would be without Nick's kindness.  Yes, we paid extra for the overtime and travel costs, but it was OK because he had told me that beforehand, and I told him I was totally ok with it given the situation!  They were professional, upfront about the price, and excellent in terms of quality of work.  Thank you again!  (And please open a Green Tech branch near us...)

After contacting several other companies which either went ghost on us or gave insanely high quotes, Mike replied so quickly with a reasonable quote- much lower than any others in the area. He offered to send a professional to our home the next business day and they were right on time. Daniel was quick, informative and he fixed the problem immediately, and I ended up having to pay less than expected which was great. I will definitely be calling them again in the future should I have any other plumbing issues!

My wife and I had a back up in our kitchen. Will and Adam came and helped right away solve the problem. Adam was quick to discover the issue, resolve the clog and also take time to explain what and why it happened. His professionalism and cleanliness made the situation so much better to handle. He left our place in good shape and they were awesome! Strongly recommend!!

I hired Sims & Sons for some electrical repairs in October, including replacement of interior and exterior light fixtures and replacement of interior and exterior outlets.  The technicians, Anel and Daryl arrived on time, provided a quote, and were able to complete the repairs the same day.  I would recommend Sims and would hire them again.

The plumber was on time, he was courteous and even covered his boots with booties so as not to track into our house. He took pictures of the work and showed it to me when the job was finished. The internet said the job would take a few hours, he was done in 40 minutes. He cleaned up nicely. You wouldn't even know he had been there.  
So far, the repair of our toilet has held up and I expect it will. Should we need a plumber again, ABV will be our first call.

We had a drain backup in the basement and needed help fast. Dmitri arrived on time, observed CoVid protocol, took off his shoes without having to be asked, and went right to work. He diagnosed the problem, worked hard to resolve the issue, and made some great suggestions to avoid future problems with tree roots in the pipes. He was polite, efficient, and thorough. I also spoke with the owner (also named Dmitri) and he was very easy to reach quickly, and quite helpful. I recommend this company!

I have a tenant in Rogers Park and needed someone who would be able to go to the tenant and take care of a clogged sink. (I do not live near enough to be able to head over on short notice myself.) Mike responded to my request almost immediately, we talked on the phone and I provided him with all the information I thought would be helpful. He gave me a very reasonable quote and was able to schedule an appointment with my tenant and handle everything that needed to be done. The job was not too small for him! So grateful that he was able to come out and handle this for me and quickly! My tenant said that Mike was an awesome dude and everything is now running smoothly. We both greatly appreciate his service!

I have had Juan come out twice to look at 2 issues. He used his camera scope to diagnose a drain issue and also installed a new sump pump for me.

All around one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. He was helpful in sharing his knowledge. He didn't take on work where he felt it was outside his expertise. When he did the sump pump install, it was very detailed and the price was very fair.

Noel was great. We were in a bit of an urgent situation and Noel was punctual, calm, professional and able to meet our unique needs whereby he needed to complete tasks at different times during the day due to other work we had being done. Super diligent and explained everything he was doing and immediately felt we were in good hands. Will 100% use Noel again and definitely recommend him!
