Purchased French doors and a matching security door for my house approx 3 years ago. Workmanship is breathtaking. They add so much to our house I am still so thankful we did this.  Highly recommend. As they say. Expensive but worth it.

I can say we had a great experience with First Impression Ironworks from the start. Derik our salesman was on time, kind, detailed and patient. Placing an order was smooth sailing. We even made a change to the frame size to make sure our doorbell still fit since they no longer drill holes in their wider frames for a doorbell.

We paid half up front and the rest the day of installation. Our door was scheduled to be ready 4 to 6 weeks out. Ours ended up being ready in just over 3 weeks. Time frame is based on demand not supply.  We received a message of the installation date. No need to call back unless it didn't work for rescheduling. We then received a call from the installer if the estimated time the morning before to confirm a  2 hour window and he would call if he would be earlier. Instalation took less than 30 minutes for our particular project. Gus was great and informative.  We looked over the door to make sure it didn't need any touch up. He went over some mechanics with us and we were all set.

They make sure that no light shines around the frame and they install trim all around along with a large door sweep at the bottom which I recommend not stepping on. Sealed well from tiny critters. Things other door vendors don't do.

I do feel I gave us an advantage by addressing concerns after reading other reviews and If your project will be getting wet often you will want to get the additional zinc protection. I feel it should be a rep's standard to go over ALL options as one may not know they have choices. Especially thinking of weather, door bell issues screens etc. that a customer may not think of or know about. I feel that is the sales person's job. It prevents issues, disappointment, customer changes and buyer regrets.

I have had a few quotes through the years. Our door blows the other vendors out of the water. The quality is awesome and again we are so happy.

First Impression Ironworks installed a beautiful iron gate in our courtyard. The experience was very professional and their representatives were friendly and helpful. It seemed a little pricy at first but it is an investment in our home that will last forever.  I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We finally got our doors put in.... And we are absolutely OBSESSED!!!  we signed the contract on Mothers Day (5/8/22), installation date was set on 6/7/22, installation was done 7/14/22. The tech called me the morning of and gave me a window of arrival of 11am- 12pm, I don't recall his name but he texted me when he was 10 min away and arrived on time. It took him just under 2.5 hrs to complete the installation. We had our main front door and our side gate door replaced. The door is heavy and solid, very good quality. He answered my questions, he cleaned up after himself. Very nice! Our doors are amazing. Definitely recommend this company. So happy we went with them.

Not a great first impression. I came to the office off of Dysart and met with Mark. It started off on the wrong note, when he did not greet me coming inside the door. It became worse with conversation. He did not go over the designs with me. Did not get a quote/estimate from him. He seemed like he did not even want my business. Every question I asked was a short response.

I am use to sales consultants upselling products not no selling lol. The doors are beautiful, hence why I wanted to visit the business but the customer service was not up to par.

Very disappointed in this experience

We had our beautiful door installed this week. Not only was the door great, the installers were too!
The installers were professional. They did a quick install and cleaned the area afterwards.
Allen(Shotgun), our lead installer, was very helpful in giving us cleaning and care instructions for our door.

We are very happy to recommend this company!   Yes, there was a bit of a wait due to Covid but the service and quality was all there!    Our sales rep was knowledgeable but also willing to call and get proper answers when appropriate.   He did promise to keep us posted on the progress of our door and that did not happen but a phone call to the main office satisfied our inquiries.

Richard Kenyon was our installer and he was excellent.   He called with ETA, arrived early.
We are very pleased with our new door

I would put negative star if there was a place for it, that being said We are still waiting for our glass to be installed after 4 attempts and 6 months later. The professionalism of this company is awful. Rude and they have lied and we paid over $10,000.00 for this door and it's still not right. Also our lock didn't lock for a month. Had to have two different guys come out for that to work properly. We are still missing bolts in our door. I absolutely do not recommend this company!  Better business bureau is involved and the attorney general. Customer service and follow up is horrible. Still waiting since Sept. 5th.

I wish I had checked YELP before hiring this outfit.  Earliest schedule they could do was 6 months out but then a man came out on that day but left after a few minutes and put a note on my door:  will not be able to complete installation of RV gate this morning.  Never returned and no answer on their phone, today 3 days later still no one came or rtf my several calls.  My own fault for giving 1/2 down payment.  Now apparently thru don't give a rats ass.  Cust Svc non existent.

Poor quality and terrible warranty. We spent over $8K for 2 doors and a gate  and they looked beautiful for the first 2 years. They are now 2.5 years old and there are rust spots. One door that is rarely used has a hole where the powered coating has peeled off. It is clearly from poor workmanship (they custom made the door) and they want $1200 to fix it. The tell you the warranty is lifetime but what they don't tell you is that is only on certain parts. The majority of the door/gate is actually only a 2 year warranty. For the price we spent, it should last longer than two years. I have life time warranty on power coating for patio furniture from another company made locally and it has never rusted or had issues. Way better quality. I tried to work with First Impression customer service but they a very slow to respond and refuse to accept or acknowledge that their work was crappy. Nothing we need fixed is covered by their limited warranty. I've seen better quality from doors and gates from home depot or Lowes. This is not worth the cost!

Our house has a nice entry space that is covered before you enter through the front door. We wanted to have a screen door placed on the front opening so that we could leave the front door open and still have security and safety. First Impressions was listed in a home mailer we received. Chris came out and showed us door options and went over the entire process of how the door is built and installed. We were hesitant about which color we wanted until we decided on the color for the house. Chris came out another time to go over colors with us after we decided on the house color. Next the framer came out, removed our old gate and welded a frame for the new gate. An independent contractor was sent out to install the finished product. Sadly the gate was welded backwards and did not fit. First Impressions rebuilt the frame and screen vs altering the original frame. The install was smooth though. The independent contractor ensured no gaps and that the gate fit properly so it can be used as a screen door as well. One thing I noticed that was not the independent contractors issue is that at the top left where the gate closes the door is not flush. That however is not due to installation. Overall we are pleased with the door. I was not thrilled with the customer service when I called to discuss the improper fit of the door due to them incorrectly making it and also the top of the door not being flush. The sales rep Chris and the independent installer were wonderful to work with.

First off, the customer service here is great. Jennifer from their customer service team listened to our concerns and was responsive. The quality of the product however is not up to the standards of other companies. We had a security door installed on our front door by Steel Shield Security Doors which we were very happy with. On the recommendation of a neighbor we went with First Impressions for our second door.

The door they installed is not as nice as the one we had installed by Steel Shield. In our photos you will see smooth welds filed nicely and powder coated on the Steel Shield doors. On the First Impression door, the welds are sloppy, wobbly and fat with excessive amounts of flux which make the welds look like fat worms or tooth paste. When I contacted Jennifer she tried to bring my concerns to the production team and their answer is that the welds are within their company standards. They mentioned that they could come out and file the welds down and paint over them, but over time the paint would fade since they would not be powder coated like the rest of the door.  I said no thanks.

The review may possibly have been one star if not for how professional and attentive Jennifer was during our conversations.

We LOVE our security door!  Especially in these times, it gives us an extra layer of security.  Not to mention, it's much easier to answer the door with 3 dogs who now can't immediately run outside.  Highly recommend - the service was professional throughout and we got exactly what we wanted!

After having some issues with the installation we are extremely happy with our gate. The first attempt the hinges didn't line up, so the door was taken back to get fixed. 13 days later it was installed, but they forgot the bottom piece. They reviewed our quote design and realized they forgot the bottom piece. Now the gate is exactly how my wife and I envisioned. Excellent quality and follow up. I am referring this company to my neighbors. Thanks First Impression!

I would have loved to do business with this company, but their First Impression was just terrible. Get it? It's their name, and it sucked. Whatever. I sent a message on Yelp to get someone out to see the project and submit a bid, but what I got in return was a long winded template response giving me a list of options instead of actually trying to set something up.  When I responded saying I didn't follow, and provided my phone number, I received another long winded template response. Hired someone who bothered to ask my address and show up, rather than hit copy and paste.

Ordered front security door. Was months with no contact or update. Over 3 months & I finally called to find out that the door was long done but they lost the paperwork for installation because someone quit & didn't pass the files on.
Then they installed it leaving gaping holes and crappy fitting.
Contacted installer back & sent pictures with no follow through.
Recontacted customer service and requested a better installer. So they sent someone who did NOTHING to fix it yet put it in system as resolved.
So now today they scheduled someone to come but would not even give me an installation window & said they would call when in their way. So again, my whole Saturday is wasted waiting for them, not knowing what time they're coming.
I am so infuriated. I want to bury this company.

This is my second experience with First Impression Ironworks.  They are an outstanding design company and their steel products not only make us feel secure, they are decorative and attractive.  'Elon' did a great job on the installation; he was professional and cleaned up the area.  I highly recommend First Impression Ironworks.  There are cheaper steel screen doors, but none as strong, yet attractive as those by First Impression.

We had a basic iron security door purchased and installed within about 3.5 weeks from purchase.  I was not happy with the initial installation.  There were holes in the seal in multiple places.  The closer restricted the door from actually opening which prevented us from being able to enter our home with our stroller.  The solution to this problem suggested by installer was to disable the closer.  I presented all of these issues to the installer who came initially and he had no solutions.

So I subsequently called customer service and initially they were going to send same installer but I explained I knew he did not have any solutions as I discussed all of these issues with him.  Therefore, I requested someone different.  They sent Adam who came about 2 weeks later.  He was worth the wait.  He fixed ALL of the issues we were having.  The closer bracket was installed in a more optimal position, the door closes seamlessly, the seal is fixed.  I was very impressed with his professionalism and his work.  In the end, I am 100% satisfied but it took vigilance and extra effort on my part to reach this satisfaction.  The company did deliver in the end.

Great service and fair priced. If the 3 places we  contacted for a quote, they were the most interested in earning our business. I had 3 companies out to quote our security door. First Impressions was by far the most knowledgeable and had the highest quality door. I visited their showroom to see the quality 1st hand before purchasing.  After getting the door installed multiple neighbors  were impressed and wanted their information. They were the middle cost company and by far the highest quality.  If you want your door or iron work to have class... hire them. We are extremely pleased and would have them do other iron work in the future.

We went looking for a security screen door. Went to their web site to get direction of the closest show room. Of course the show room was closed permanently on our side of town and they hadn't updated their website. That's where they lost a star. I guess they should get on their IT department to update their website. So not being happy with driving around for no reason, we decide to drive out to the Scottsdale show room. Only reason was my brother had a good experience with them. If it wasn't for that they probably would have lost a customer, just from the website not being updated. Once we got to the show room our experience started getting better.  They took the time to answer all our questions, we never felt rushed. We decided on a couple different styles. We had the price out the door before we left for each of the styles. Only down fall was I had to buy two, since we have a double door.  We set an appointment for the other sales person to come out to get our final decision and take the required measurements. He was very helpful. No pressure was felt, he even talked us out of an option that we were looking at and I'm glad he did.  They told us 3-4 weeks for install. I believe it was 2 weeks and we had it install. The install went smooth with no complaints.  If I ever need another security door.  I wouldn't hesitate going to them. If they would have had the website updated. They probably would have had 5 stars.

This was our 2nd purchase from First Impressions, with a total now of 3 doors and one gate. The quality of these doors is amazing and the reason why we wanted to purchase another one. Although we had issues with our first order, we made sure that our previous installer, Jacob, was still with the company.  He was the one who saved the day and made sure all problems were addressed last time so we felt confident we would be well taken care of.  Our salesman was great, but basically all he had to do was measure since we knew exactly what we wanted.  The door arrived in perfect condition and even came with John Garrison, Director of Operations, who assisted Jacob with the installation.  What a wonderful man and great team they make !!! You can tell there is a lot of mutual respect between them and a great working relationship !!!
Everything was perfect and we are so happy with our new door. How nice it is to be able to open the door and enjoy the fresh air!!

This company is undoubtedly one of the worse I've ever had the displeasure of contracting with.  One star is too good for them.  I have been in an almost 6 month ordeal.  They cancelled the first install date because my gate wasn't finished, the 2nd install date was cancelled because the 3rd party installer ( yes 3rd party installer ) they use was not informed the gate would require a minimum of 2 people to physically move, the 3rd install date was scrubbed because the contracted install location had no studs to secure the huge gate to and then the 4th install date was when they found out the gate was made to big for the install location.  When you call the number on the contract you will be very lucky to have any extension answer other than sales.  They also included a electric strike for my gate that is only rated for interior use, but the gate is 100% outside.  I was called yesterday and was offered a $400 discount in exchange for removing the electric strike that my salesman said cost me $450.  On top of that I was told that if I didn't take that offer they would charge me a 15% restocking fee and if I took them to small claims court they would definitely win.  Very professional company I am dealing with.  I have already filed a complaint with the Registrar of Contractors and will take them to court if the gate is not fixed and installed correctly or 100% of my money is refunded.  Be very careful with this company they talk a GREAT game but you better hope you got what you ordered if not who knows what to expect in your conclusion.  This review is obviously my opinion based on the service I received.

Update on January 22nd, I had my meeting and inspection with the ROC and a representative of First Impressions.  The outcome per their representative with the ROC present was they would give me 100% of my deposit back and fix the damage to my stucco.  I was assured by the representative that I would have my refund credited to my card that day and a receipt would be in my email also that same day.  The representative even asked me and I quote As a sign of good faith and professional courtesy would I delete my social media posts, and I said NO, what you do now doesn't change what has happened.  Well as was expected I have no credit to my account and no receipt.  I again repeat my warnings as it relates to this company, regardless of which office you use, because everything ultimately comes from the main office in Gilbert.  I will update again with the next episode.

We had an estimate from First Impressions that was right in our budget for a steel screen security door. The initial sales went great and we picked a design. When it arrived we were impressed how well it was done. I'm definitely calling again when we get one for the back door. Easily five stars. The whole process was fantastic. Richard or Ricky did a fantastic job putting it up by himself. Not a mark on it and he gave instructions how to maintain it.
One of the top five best companies we've had work done with. Highly recommend.

Ok, I had this review at 1 star as I stated earlier. After 3 weeks this company finally sent someone to my house.

His name is Jacob and is a credit to this company or any other for that matter. Professional, courteous and prompt. He fixed all that was left undone by the previous tech.

So....based on this person and this person alone: I'm upgrading to a 3 star. Well done Jacob...I hope they know who they have working for them.

This company's customer service has gone so far in the tank since 2010, when I purchased my first 3 doors from them.  Just ordered another one several months ago for a new home in NW Valley.  Moving forward to current, had to contact 1st Impression again for several things not working with the door.  They had to initially schedule me 2+ weeks out, as they are short of technicians. Ok, so I wait.  Got a call  the day before this scheduled appt, to tell me that the tech assigned to me, won't be coming as family emergency, they would need tore- schedule me for another time, again 2 weeks out. So, here we go again.....Wait for my turn again, and guess what?!!  Got another call, and same excuse from 1st Impression staff. Family emergency, won't be coming.

Get the scoop!  I sure would NOT recommend you waste your time ordering from this company, as their customer service is dreadfully slow, and they could care less about customer service.  All they are interested in, is taking orders, getting your money, and to heck with timely repairs, should you need a technician. Too, I found several of their inside staff quite RUDE to work with, and very unprofessional. I went as far as requesting to speak with the Owner of company (Tim), and Melissa (the Scheduler) would only tell me that I could speak with one of the two managers. This company will NEVER get one more penny EVER from me.  There are other reputable, like companies, should I ever need an additional security door, I will take my hard earned dollars and spend them elsewhere!

I Have two security doors at my home manufactured by this company and they are great. I decided to have a gate made for my front porch that matched the doors and had it made. Everything went great and the gate was installed on time. About a month later the gate started to sag. After calling customer service the repairs were made and everything was back to normal. A couple of months later the sag returned. Upon calling customer service I was told that this can happen due to the construction of the decorative posts that the gate is attached to and they would not make any additional repairs unless I hire a mason to reinforce the post at an expense above the cost of the gate.  Had they informed me of this problem at the time of the sale I would not have ordered the gate. Now I have this great gate that sags and will not close.

I have purchased my door and had the measurements done but the installer hasn't called.  We called Tuesday 10/3 was told someone will be calling us by the end of the next day.  We didn't get call so we decided to call again on Thursday 10/5 left a message and have never heard back since.  Then when I was checking my email I had an email from the installer delivered Thursday evening stating he had tried calling multiple times.  Neither of our numbers have had a call or message left from someone trying to get ahead of of us.

Very dissatisfied with service especially with the cost of the door, wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Do not use this company! The quality of the door they made for me is not worth the price at all. Dealing with them has been a nightmare. The sales people are great, but then the circus begins. The subcontractors they hired to install the door were sent to the wrong address on the day of installation.  Then they showed up without the proper tools and had to use mine. Once done, I pointed out all of the issues I could see that needed to be fixed. They said they would get back to me. The only person I heard from was the guy who wanted to collect my final payment. When I said I would pay when the door is fixed they put a pre-lien on my house for the full amount of the door and I have already paid half.

This was 5 weeks ago and they have been back 3 or 4 times to fix all of the problems, and they still are not fixed. Where do I begin? Two knobs were dented and scratched, the door, which cost me around $8,000, is bowed at the top and does not sit flush with the frame or the inner glass. The leading edge of the door was hitting the frame when I closed the door (how did the install crew think that was acceptable?), I can see light between the door and frame, the screen didn't fit so they took it back and never returned it, I can see the red shims between the sidelights and frame, and there is a pile of extra metal sitting on the side of the door. I understand there might be an issue or two, but this is ridiculous for the amount money they are charging.

Each time they come out they don't have the right tools or they need to take pictures and call the office and they will get back to me, which only happens sometimes.  Two of their employees have told me that they believe the company is growing too fast and the customer service is suffering. The last service manager who tried to fix some of the issues with his spray paint and nail file told me that since it's handmade it will have flaws, but I think that's just a good excuse to produce poor quality products and get away with it. My appointment today with another service manager just got rescheduled for two weeks from now. They are in no rush to make things right. I have lost my patience and I'm filing a complaint with the Registrar of Contractors.

After visiting the Maricopa County Home and Garden Show, we decided to order double entry security doors for our front entry. They sent a salesman to the house and we wrote a contract on 1-23-2018. The doors were scheduled for installation on Tuesday 2-13-2018. Upon installation, the installer realized the doors were made wrong and had to be taken back to the factory. On Saturday 2-17-2018, they called to reschedule the re-installation for 3-12-2018. After the reinstallation was completed, we realized that the doors were painted 2 different colors. On 3-13-2018, we called Customer Service and emailed pictures of the door colors. As of today, 3-26-2018, we still have not heard a response from Customer Service. If you are considering purchasing security doors from this company, expect long delays and poor quality assurance.

Quality of work is great. Nice heavy door. The frame did not fit although the measurements were correct. Alternative ideas were presented, such as glueing the sash on. Unacceptable for an 1800.00 door. Installers are great, but lacked tools to fix the problem. My husband welds so was able to rectify problem. Customer service GREATLY LACKING  when it comes time to schedule appt for installation. First, we waited a month for install to be called 2 days before because we don't work weekends anymore YOU can't honor the appts that you had made previously? An adjustment needed to be made to the door and 3 representatives failed to note cell phone numbers and gate codes onto our profile which required multiple attempts to return to fix a small issue. After almost 3 months.... TODAY I finally get to use the door without bugs crawling in underneath it!

Just had our door installed. We are super happy with the results!

The buying process was great. Our sales consultant came over and spent almost 2 hours with my wife going over ALL the details and answering all her questions. We looked at several companies and ended up going with FISD due to how awesome the sales consultant was and the quality of their product over other companies, for roughly the same cost!

Almost all of these doors are handmade, to order, and customized to fit your exact opening.  The industry standard for the door to be installed is roughly 4-6 weeks after purchasing. The only (minor) ding I have against this company is the scheduling.

About 3 weeks out we received a call letting us know it would be towards the end of the week. We weren't given a specific day or time to go on. When we inquired if we could get a specific install time and day, the lady had an attitude and was a bit harsh about it.

I understand there are a lot of doors to get installed, but when you're paying well over $1000+ for a door, you expect a little better service on this end. I need to take off of work at least 2 weeks in advance to be home for the install and it's a simple consideration to provide a little less vague of an install date. I ended up being forced to take 3 days in a row just to cover the range of dates provided.

About a week out we were provided a specific day to install, but no time. Again lady was a little rude about it but we got a 4 hour window after some prodding. We weren't asking the world, just for specific day/time so we can plan accordingly, which shouldn't be an issue considering the price of the product being purchased.

The day of, tech called and notified we were first door of the day, 8am sharp he was here as he promised. Had door installed in just over an hour. He took his time to go through the maintenance of the hinges and lock assembly and cleaning of the screen. He cleaned up and was on his way. Tech was superb!

We absolutely love our new door! FISD deserves the full 5 stars, won't dock a star over a single lady who probably didn't have her cup of coffee for the day. Check out our new door in the photo gallery!

I ordered and had a security door installed today by Thurman. He did an excellent job and a little extra. Love the door. He explained everything to me and cleaned up whatever was left from the job. I would recommend them to anyone.

I've had other installers with first impression ironworks and have been satisfied but Thurman Yazzie was exceptional. His is genuinely concern in making his customers happy, his workmanship is meticulous, and his professionalism shines. He is an asset to your company.

What a fabulous experience.  Kevin came and gave me a quote, no pressure, just a great salesman.  When I finally de died to move forward, he came back, at my request so that I could check once more if I made the correct choice.  Today, Richard came out, called first with time frame and then right before arriving g, just as I had requested.  He was detail oriented, took his time and did a wonderful install.  Needless to say, the opening wasn't even and it took time and patience and he did it to perfection.  Great experience and I would highly recommend Kevin and Richard who represent First Impression ironworks.

We have used First Impressions twice in the past. Quality doors and impressive service. Never again after today. they were sold to some other company. Ralph in customer service was condescending and disgusting. The doors are poor welding.  We bought over 10k of doors.  The whole experience is disappointing and their service is disgusting. Shop before you sign.

I thought this was a reputable company, as they advertise being the longest running security gate company in Arizona. I wish I would've done more research. The problems started initially when I was told it would be 2 weeks from purchase date to install. It ended up being 6 weeks. I've had my doors now for about 27 days and already have problems. The anchor on the French door is stuck in an out position leaving my security doors stuck open and 100% not secure. I spent over $1,600 for security doors and could not be more disappointed. When I called to have the problem fixed, they told me they'll have someone come out in 3 weeks. When I said my security was at risk, the Customer Care agent named Jennifer could not have cared less. She told me to go spend more money on silicone spray to fix the problem and that I should already know the solution because I should have read the owner's manual. I never received a manual. Regardless, I was hoping this would fix the solution so I bought the spray and applied it. Of course, this didn't fix anything. I called back about six times and nobody answered. I've left messages with both their main inbox as well as Jennifer's manager Samantha, but nobody seems to care. Do not use this company.

Stay away from this company.  It was the worst purchase experience ever.

We ordered a heavy wrought iron security door for our new home.  We paid approximately $1600 cash in advance.  The door was delivered about 3 weeks later.  Then the problems started.  The installer showed up by himself (we have since been told that the installation requires 2 people due to the weight of the door).  The installer could not get the 3 hinges on the door and frame to line up.  Over a period of 3 hours he hammered on the mounted door frame and hinges in an attempt to bend them into place.  He hammered so hard that it cracked the sheet rock in our entry way and knocked tools off the wall in our garage.  In the process the powder coat finish on the door and frame were damaged.  After calling the office for direction, he removed the door frame from our house and took the door and frame to the shop for corrective repairs and new powder coating.

About a week later, the same installer showed back up with our rebuilt door, again by himself.  The damage to the powder coat had not been properly repaired and you could see blotches where the previous damage was.  The door hinges still would not line up.  After 3 hours of hammering, the installer damaged our wood entry way trim by prying the door into place with a claw hammer.  The door was now installed but was in a bind and shrieked loudly when opening.

The noise was unacceptable, so we contacted the service department and they sent out 2 technicians.  They removed the door from the frame and the hinges were still out of alignment.  They hammered on the door for over 2 hours with out success, again knocking tools off the wall in the garage.  They had to remove the center hinge pin to get the door re-hung.  They sent photos and called the office for guidance.  The technicians were directed to remove our door and frame in order to take it to the shop for repair.  At this point we refused to allow them to remove our door and demanded that they return with a entirely new door.  A manager called us shortly thereafter and offered to again repair our door.  We stated again that they had already repaired our new $1600 door and that we wanted a completely new door.  At this point, the manager started a sales pitch about the custom nature of their doors and how good their quality is.  He then proceeded to read the small print on the back of the sales contract page stating what their rights are and that they were not going to provide us with a new door.

The first impression on our new home is a damaged door.

Difficult to review as the door itself is beautiful!  The installation not so much.  The guys that installed it seemed very thorough and careful, but by the time they were done they had left a big mess.  There are bricks surrounding the door frame and they managed to get the white silcone they used to seal the door all over the surrounding bricks!  When someone came out to look at it they he just told us that there was nothing they could do to fix it.  They only have white or black silicone ( the door is brown and the bricks are grayish/yellow).  We spent a ton of money to have a beautiful front entry way and they have ruined it!

My wife and I were hesitant to use First Impression's at first, but we are happy we chose them in the long run. Initially we met with a sales rep in Scottsdale and we were not impressed with the customer service he provided so we chose to go with another company. We then received a call from Paula (Customer Service) who said she would get us another sales rep. We also expressed our concern over the online reviews and she assured us they no longer used those installers. We agreed to meet Thomas (Sales rep) who was enthusiastic and easy to work with. Thomas got us a great deal and we bought the Naples door. We then received a call for the install date. Our concern grew when the install date was changed twice but we were advised it was because the door didn't pass quality inspection. The install day finally came and Thurman (Installer) installed our door. Thurman was awesome! We told him the handle he was installing was wrong and he assured that this would be corrected soon. We received a call from Jennifer (Customer Service) the next day who said there was a miscommunication about the door handle and that she would get it corrected. Two days later the correct door handle was installed. Apparently Thurman went out of his way to pick up the correct handle. Prior to all of this, Jennifer had also gone out of her way to pick up the correct handle. I would like to thank Paula, Thomas, Jennifer and Thurman for a job well done. Thank you First Impressions!!

Not worth our time for me to write the whole story, my experience was terrible, I did finally end up with a door that I was happy with, took months to resolve with no communication from them, one of the worst installation and customer service experience I have ever had. I heard their business has exploded and they are having a hard time keeping up, well if they keep giving the service they are currently providing, they will not have the growth problem anymore. Too many options!

One star only because we really like the appearance and quality of the door.  As for customer service, there should be a grade less than one star.  Our installer was very good, but the door was missing the screens and a few other essential parts.  He said that he informed the company and could come back the next day and finish.  He said would not take long and could even do it between his other jobs. Has been over two weeks and nothing.  We did receive an email asking if could come out on a day we were not available.  We requested another day but have not heard anything since.  We have called and left messages, sent emails, but get not replies.  VERY FRUSTRATING!!  We paid-in-full at the time of order (Big Mistake) and now they don't seem to care.  We have many friends and neighbors who are admiring our door and gate, but we can't honestly recommend this company...It's too bad!!

Our Iron Security Door and courtyard gate was just installed by First Impression, we are elated, just love the end result,  much quality & beautiful curb appeal!!

Our sales consultant Tracy McSwain was very professional, walked us through the process, and thoroughly explained all details.  Order delivered & installed as promised.

The installer Mike was excellent.  Very proficient in his installation, cleaned up, timely, and very helpful........did a GREAT job!!

Overall we are VERY pleased with First Impression, would definitely recommend, and use again!!  Already gave recommendation to our neighbor!!  Just cannot say enough about this experience, in a MOST positive way!!

After submitting our review, First Impressions promptly contacted us to find a resolution to our concerns. I must say within a few days they had a representative at our home to fix the problem we had addressed. The customer service representative also heard our concerns regarding the lack of communication between various departments on scheduling, etc..and hopefully this area of issue will only improve. I must say I was impressed with how quick they rectified the issue.  Thank you!

I'm not even sure where to start. We purchased our front door from First Impression on January 25, 2017 at a cost of $4600 plus some change. You would think that such a high quality door would come with high quality service and installation. We had our door installed in February, minus the mesh screen and the bronze glass was not truly bronze, frankly I didn't consider it tinted at all. After 4 tries at installation of the mesh with each being the wrong size they finally got that right in March. I must say the installers were terribly upset because the previous installers had measured wrong thus the mesh was too large, even the correct mesh had to be adjusted on-site in order to get it installed properly. Then we go on to the bronze glass. Unknown to us, the glass isn't truly the color of the sample provided to us by the salesman and there are two glass pieces which makes sense but they only tint one and it was not even close to the color we requested. So, today, on April 17th, 2017 an installer was supposed to come and install both pieces of glass so the door glass was as dark as we could possibly get it. No show by 10:30 and no phone call. My husband called them only to find out that the glass was muddy whatever that means and not acceptable. Now we wait again. We have taken so much time out of our schedule to attempt to get this door completed as per the contract. We dd not make any changes, they did change the door handle because it was going to originally take longer to install if we went with the door handle was ordered on the contract so we allowed a change to the door handle. We have bent over backwards and been as nice as we possibly could be thinking everything would work out in the end. We have never worked with a company with so many problems nor paid such an extreme price and received such poor customer service. We had planned on using them to replace our french doors in the back of our home but we will definitely find another company for that upgrade. What makes me doubly sad is this company is owned by two Veterans and we honestly support our Veterans in any way possible as my husband is a VN Veteran with a Purple Heart and a heart of gold. Honestly, First Impression, you should be ashamed of yourselves and your company because I sure am.

Unfortunately I would have loved to have given a 5 star review. We had a door done by FI previously and all was well. This go round has literally been the BIGGEST headache-the door came was installed and there is a missing bracket for the door to be able to swing and auto close as well as the stucco brace/bracket to hide the stucco from the exterior door to the FI door. Additionally the lock cylinder is not flush nor straight in the door, light comes through the actual door and frame and all of this to be fixed with second visit. Second visit came and went after requesting a different installer the same installer showed up to resolve all the issues. However, this did take place. It has been over a month since initial installation and still have no eta on completion. The only positive note to this entire headache is a gal named Bonnie who has been nothing short of wonderful to communicate frustrations and concerns with. If not completed soon will be faced with contacting the BBB for complaint. This company was so highly regarded to us as have done our previous door as mentioned along with family members doors....completely and utterly disappointed.

Everything went well except the installation.  During the initial installation in November 2014, the door bolts were not drilled straight and went through the door frame.  The  installer apologized & informed us that he was only 3 weeks on the job.  He said a technician will come to fix it, I never received a call.  I had to call and explain what happened during the initial installation.  After two separate visits by two different technicians because they did not have the correct tools. The door bolts were reinserted and wood putty in the holes by a 3rd technician at the end of December.  Unfortunately for us, the last technician drilled a gouge into our front door while reinserting the bolts.  I called the company, he also apologized and said to send pictures.  I sent pictures and no response.  At this point, I just want others to be made aware.

The quality of the door fabrication appears very good, however, the quality of the final product after installation is less than desirable for the dollar amount of the six doors that I cut a check for.  Doesn't quite live up to the floor room displays and it's a inconvenience for me to take the time to have these problems addressed.  Had a hard time speaking to a person...didn't have that problem before I set up the order.  The automated answering system kept routing me to voice mail multiple times during the day last Thursday when I called just to confirm installation.  Late in the afternoon, Brent answered the phone in sales and was kind enough to run across the street to confirm and call me back.  A fine example of customer service.  Issues with the install:  no strike plates on all the doors (just the raw routed out holes), hinge security studs missing on all doors, misaligned threshold on one door, can see light through one of the door seals and one of the deadbolt mounting screws wasn't threaded (alignment tool?) and popped out when the door closed.  There were two people at the install and the last one left after the sun set.  Maybe they were in a hurry.  Given my past experience with calling, I drove down to the Gilbert showroom today to speak with someone about the issues.  The salesperson called their service department and I was able to schedule another appointment.  If the installations reflected the showroom quality and the customer service were a bit better, this company would rate high.  We'll see how the second/repair install goes.

Update:
Contacted multiple times by the FISD Customer Care Director as a result of the review.
With the exception of the misaligned threshold which I discussed with the installer (I opted to take care of that myself at some point), all the installation corrections/repairs were completed to my satisfaction.  The doors look good and function smoothly.  I was going to post before/after photos but it's not clear on how to do that and the time I've spend on this is long enough.  The fact that this all wasn't completed right the first time reflects the 3-star (A-OK) rating, vs. 4 (Yay, I'm a fan) or 5 (Woohoo! As good as it gets!)...those are Yelp's definitions, not mine.
