Best Deck & Railing Contractors in United States
Wanting to get a new toilet installed, I made several frustrating calls to plumbers (who quoted outrageous prices and time frames) and other handymen (most didn't return my phone messages) , I contacted Jake, who promptly answered his phone. He quoted a very reasonable fee and could come that afternoon.
He was timely in his arrival, very courteous, and a neat worker who knew what he was doing. The installation was completed very quickly. I told him his fee was too low and paid him extra. I highly recommend Jake and I will call him when I need his services again.

So, I am in the middle of a remodel with Schott. I have to give them extreme credit. I am redoing my kitchen and building out my fireplace, as well as replacing all the counters in my bathroom. To begin, they were very much on time and reliable during the quote process. Their quotes were detailed and extremely easy to understand. There were no hidden costs or details. They ran through the project with me a few times, making sure that it was what I wanted and even made a few suggestions.
His right hand guys are Shane and Jim. Both of them are amazing. Shane will come out and bid the job and Jim runs the job. Shane initially came out with Chris and we went through the job. Then, he came out again to check things out. THEN, he brought Jim and met with my interior designer and went through the job AGAIN to make sure that everything was correct.
Jim runs the job and he literally texts and calls all the time and gives updates. He stays on schedule and really tries to accommodate the living situation for the person in the home. For example, I needed my stove for Thanksgiving but we were installing the granite. He made sure that I had a working stove so I could at least cook after the counters were installed. It was just a kind thing to do, that he really didn't have to do, but he made it work just to make me happy. I mean, that says a lot. I seriously can't say enough about these guys.
The reliability and honesty factors are two of the most important things to me. These guys won't walk off the job. They have a portal where you can track progress and Jim is CONSTANTLY in contact with you, explaining what is going on and where the project is. Sometimes, he will literally call me first thing in the morning to make sure I know what is going on for the day. He has even sped up some of the timeline, which was remarkable. And through it all, he makes sure that his guys clean up as best they can, each day.
A remodel is a daunting experience, so it's really important to have people you trust running it. That's actually really worth something. These guys are not the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive, either.
There have been some minor bumps with the remodel, but I was fully expecting that. And, fyi, anyone should expect bumps and bruises during a remodel. What is most important is that, whenever an issue popped up or a problem occurred, they immediately call and advised me. They didn't try to minimize the issue or cast blame on anyone. They just said, don't worry, we will fix it. And they did. You can't really ask for more than that, either. Mistakes will happen - - but the question is how are those mistakes handled. I will update this review when the remodel is done. But, thus far, I would recommend them to anyone...

Robert from West Haven Builders removed a wall, popcorn ceiling and moved electrical outlet/light. He always responded quickly. His quote came in at a competitive price. What I really appreciated was he kept me informed and updated, was on time. He also always kept the work area cleaned and cleaned up when finished. I will definitely use West Haven Builders again. Thanks for doing a great job!

We are renovating three boarded up abandoned houses in the Oakland Historic District in Downtown Phoenix. When we tried to get bids for the job, several contractors would not take on the project. Several others wanted more money than the houses would ever be worth. The Gordon brothers said that they would take on the project and would work within our budget.
These houses were built in the 1930's and were in very rough shape. Once demolition started, we found numerous unexpected problems. Alex and Danny continue to have great attitudes. They have solved framing issues, foundation issues, roofing issues, collapsed sewer lines... the list goes on. If the problem is not within the scope of their expertise, they quickly get several bids from other contractors within that specialty. Although new to the area, they have already formed great relationships within their profession. Once they bid out the job, they give us the bids and offer their opinions on how they believe the task should be completed. It is our choice who completes the work..
The Gordons are in constant communication with us. They explain what problems they have found and how they plan to deal with them. We have met all of their crew. We continue to be impressed by the teams work ethic. We have been on the work site on a regular basis. In addition to being very respectful, we have never seen them goofing off. If they do stop working, they are discussing how they will solve the next problem. The project has been slow going, but now we see clear progress every day. I believe that the entire crew is proud of the progress they have made.
I highly recommend them for any project.

Last night I requested a quote from Yelp due to a few things going on in the home. Neither toilet in my home would flush, and the water from the shower was overflowing. It was all pretty disgusting, to be honest. Aaron responded right away saying he'd arrive in about 1 hour to 1.5, and he stated he would fix the issue. You cannot imagine my relief. At this time it was 830pm-ish. I stayed up until midnight waiting for this guy. Sending him texts, messages, and calling. I received NO response. Bear in mind, there are 3 adults in the home that cannot use the restroom during this entire time. He texted me in the morning 7am saying he could come right now. Although I was already feeling disappointed, I was like heck. I'll give this dude another try. What a mistake. I should've probably known. Responded to him and prepared my home for his visit. I texted him again and asked for the ETA. He responds with 1.5 hours, and it might not even be him coming - could be someone else. Who knows. At this point, I cancelled. This owner is extremely unreliable. To him, it's just plumbing. Cool. To me? I have missed work this morning waiting for him, I have not been able to use the restroom in my own home, I am plenty of towels down cleaning up the mess, little amount of sleep, and the list goes on. All this from waiting for him when I could've given another plumber a shot that had reached out to me via Yelp messages as well. Extremely disappointed in this company and this owner. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Michael did a really great job! He was very conscientious about doing good work and I appreciate that. I would hire him again.

Tatum and Ray were highly recommended. I got several bids and their's was comprehensive and fairly priced. This was a unique project where we retained the flooring, fixtures and some of the walls. But the plumbing, sinks, counters, tile, some cabinets, mirrors, shower wall and glass are all new. There were many challenges since this was not a rip and replace. During the five week project, Tatum kept everything moving, came up with creative solutions, and kept his commitment to deliver the bathroom we wanted. I highly recommend Ouellette General Contracting.

I received a quote and was charged $500 more than quoted. They did not properly clean the base cabinetry and stains started to show through the paint within 2 weeks. Scheduling was very difficult and last minute. Also, they promised to return and put new hardware on the cabinets, but never came back despite multiple messages left. I had to hire another handyman who came and completed the job for me. He did a great job, but cost me another $400. I would not recommend this company at all.

The master bathroom shower was like showering in a small phone booth, we called around and Turc came out, made some great suggestions and the results were incredible. The tile and fixtures along with the new lighting was just what we needed. Also, Bennet Glass did the glass enclosure and it was made to perfection. We will have them back to do the master ensuite addition.

I wish I had read these reviews before signing up with them. Terrible business practices and poor workmanship. Service repair crew sent for the second time and still not fixed. I'm moving on and having a real, experienced company redo my pool and decking in the spring. Don't waste your time or money folks! I'll refrain from any feedback directed at the owner/manager - that should say it all. How do they stay in business? They seem to do the minimal amount, virtually no focus on quality or customer care. I was told by the repair crew- 'we don't talk to the office, they don't give us instructions or your emails or photos (yes I sent them photos of he work that needed to be corrected) they just tell where to go'. Is that any way to run a business? Rework costs must be astronomical! This is the second time the same repair crew has been here and after they show up they said they can't do the repairs because I need to lower the water level in the pool!!! They never said anything about this during their first trip and I would have been nice if Sharp had asked me to do it in advance. When I suggested that crew put blue painters tape on the pool tile so they could paint the underside of the coping the dude said don't call me an idiot - the word never left my mouth - anyone would know that putting blue painters tape on the tile makes sense - I'm going to let them try to repair the job one more time and that's it.
Adios Sharp Contracting - you'll never see another cent from me!
Use someone else people!!!

TERRIBLE AND UNSCRUPULOUS. Never started our project, won't communicate, having to sue him for our unused money back, name-calling, and overall terrible experience. RUN FAST AND FAR! Filing suit in Maricopa if you want to search records for more details.

Not to be confused with Witting, which is basically telling jokes.
They're definitely one of the best companies for making roll up doors, and I think they do a good job with that. I've seen a lot worse, let me put it that way.
I wouldn't say that they are the best of all the roll up doors, but I would say that it's well worth checking out if you need a roll up door, or if you're looking for a company that manufactures reliable and widely used versions of these.
