Best Tree Services in Arizona

Quick initial response.  We had some troubling issues with scheduling that cost a star here, but the work was done well for a fair price.  Wouldn't hesitate to use Roy again.  Will certainly give him another shot, when needed, and hope to bump up to 5 stars.

I had a severely overgrown Eucalyptus tree threatening my structures. I got several estimates, most of which were outside my budget, some of which were outrageous. I kept searching, using Yelp and the BBB to check my selections. VFTS looked very good. Their estimator listened closely to my needs and made a very reasonable bid considering the scope of the work.

The VFTS team showed up as scheduled. Three very pleasant gentleman at first, joined later by Andy, the owner. Their work was careful, considerate and totally professional, not to mention impressive! I will be calling them again for all my future needs. If you're looking for a top-notch job by top-notch guys at an affordable price, look no further than VFTS.

BTW, my location is Phoenix AZ, not San Francisco, which sometimes shows up despite my efforts to correct it.

I contacted several companies to give me estimates for 3 trees; 2 in the front yard and 1 in the back. These were all monster Sissoo trees which had majorly overgrown. The front ones were also multi-trunked so they were dense and huge.

Clayton came out the day after I contacted them. He assessed the trees and let me know that though they were overgrown, they were healthy, which was a relief because we had some concern that the back tree might be falling over. He gave me his quote and let me know that getting the work done would be about 3 weeks out due to the monsoon season and them being very busy (this was the case with all of the tree services we called as it was late August).

After getting the other quotes and meeting several other arborists and yard guys we decided that ArborCraft was our best bet. Clayton was honest about what needed to be done, was an actual arborist, and price-wise they were right in the middle of our quotes so I emailed him to schedule service. He responded rather quickly to let me know when and what time the guys would be out.

The climber came out last Friday, 9/14/18, and removed much of the bulk and height of our super overgrown trees. He worked quickly and efficiently. The cleanup/finishing crew showed up a little bit after him with a chipper and went to work cleaning up all the debris.

When they were done I gave the lead guy the check and he asked if I was happy. At the time I was a little upset because I was told that one of the trunks of the multi-trunked tree facing the driveway would be removed and it wasn't. He said that the climber probably didn't want to kill the tree but that he would talk with the boss and they would get back to me.

I emailed Clayton and told him that while I know our trees were absolute monsters and the crew did work hard, that there were some things I wasn't completely satisfied with. Clayton got back to me right away and said he'd try to get them back out Monday to take care of the issues I had. Monday bright and early the guys came back, removed the part that was supposed to be removed and took care of my other concerns quickly and neatly.

I highly recommend ArborCraft LLC for your tree-trimming and removal services. They are true professionals and get the job done, and make sure you are 100% satisfied.

If they can handle our giant Sissoos, they can handle anything! I would and will use them again in the future.

We had Arbor Care remove 2 trees ( a large Sisso and a Pistachio) and trim 2 large trees (Fantex Ash). When we first called, they set up an appointment right away to walk the property and give us a quote.  Burt (arborist) showed up when expected, answered our questions and left us with a quote. We were able to schedule removal within a week. Art and his crew showed up when promised and he walked the property to confirm the work we wanted. His crew worked quickly to get the job done. They did a great job on all the trees and left the property cleaner than when they arrived. Art was also very helpful in suggesting replacement trees and plants. We would definitely use them again and recommend them.

I had a couple of very large fiscus trees that needed trimming and Bernardo came by for an estimate.  I was greatly impressed my his knowledge and professionalism.  the crew came the next week right on time and did a dynamite job.  It is rare to find a contractor/landscaper who knows his/her craft at a very high level and does the job in exactly the way they offered it.  honestly exceeded my expectations.

We had a dead mesquite in the back yard of our newly purchased home.  Moon Valley provided excellent service with a thorough cleanup.  About ten days later, they returned to grind out the stump and once again completely cleaned up afterwards.  They kept to the time schedule promised and did a great job.  Look for separate review of their design and planting services.

Ok soooo I have a not so great update that is bringing the originally top service down in the dumps. We bought 2 chinese pistache trees, and were convinced to buy a 3rd Brazilian pepper tree. We were talked into the Brazilian pepper tree that was not native to AZ or ok with desert climate and well, it died. They replaced the tree as they had guaranteed... BUT I was told that they would wave the ($100) delivery cost if I paid for another ($100) warranty. I declined this and it was delivered at no cost. They did replace the dead pepper with one of the chinese pistache that we already purchased that does very well here yadayadayda. Well, they gave us the smallest tree that likely has a fungal disease from what I have researched so far . The leaves were shriveled up upon its arrival and they still are looking this way even with watering it (in addition to our irrigation).  

Why give us the smallest and sickly looking tree?
We still have plans to landscape our entire front and back yard... so dumb.

We had a tree with branches over our roof and didn't feel comfortable taking it down ourselves. Misael gave us the best price and did amazing work. A giant tree gone and two stumps done in 3 hours. I'm definitely saving his number for any more tree and stump removal jobs.

We had a diseased tree that was at risk of damaging our neighbors house if another branch fell during a monsoon storm. Misael was very quick to respond to our request for a quote, and gave us one from a picture rather than having to schedule a time to come out for an estimate and then schedule another time to take it down. He was also the most affordable of all of the tree businesses we contacted. He came out to cut down a very large tree by himself since his crew had all called in sick that day. We will definitely contact him again for any tree trimming needs we have.

This company of professionals is absolutely professional and meticulous in their work.  I live in Terravita in north Scottsdale, famous for their strict rules about everything.  Ed and his crew were conscientious and thorough, but worked hard to accommodate everything I wanted to get accomplished to clean up the tree detritus and fire hazards in the area.  They are a delightful group of people who work hard and work well together.  I could not believe how reasonable their charges were.  A fair company in today's gouging market!

Our landscaper said our big Acacia tree in front of the house had to be removed and all other trees pruned.  Thanks to a quick response and walk thru with Eddie, neither had to be done!  He was on time, knowledgeable and gave me Fish Fertilizer to help the tree.  Eddie didn't charge for the service call or the fertilizer!  I will call AZ Desert Tree Care for all of our arbor needs.  Will refer to my neighbors! I called Joe because my boyfriend, who's a General Contractor in another state checked out the stump removal businesses online for me.  He decided Bassett Stump Removal appeared to be the most professional.

I called Joe for a quote, and he was easy to communicate with.  We settled on a price, and Joe came over, and removed a stump and two rose bushes.  He was excellent at communication, his price was extremely fair, and the best part, he did a fantastic job!  I'd definitely refer him to everyone.   He was fast, honest and very easy to work with!  A+ and 5 stars!!

Two gentlemen showed up and did an excellent job.  They trimmed 5 palm trees in no time and did a great clean up job after.  The first time I had this done by another company and they left my pool a mess with much debris.  These guys considered the pool and the shrubbery around.

Job well done on one Mexican fan palm and easy quote via text with a pic. They were able to schedule service for the next day.  Jose even asked exactly how many fronds I wanted left at the top. Great work on the clean up and will definitely use again. I just wish they could do a printed invoice but they were at least able to provide handwritten one for the landlord.

Valley Verde did a beautiful job with my front and back yard. They weeded and trimmed my trees which were out of control after the days of rain a couple of weeks ago here in Phx.
They were at my house within a couple of days of speaking to them to get the work done. Valentin was easy to communicate with and his prices were super reasonable compared to other companies I had researched. I will absolutely be using services again.

We had a Palo Brea tree that was located in the corner of our back yard. There were very large branches that had grown over the block wall and could cause major damage if they fell or were unsafely removed.
After extensive research, I received a quote, and then made an appointment with All American Arborist to remove the tree and the the stump removed.
Victor arrived at 7:30 for an 8:00 appointment to let me know that the rest of the crew would arrive soon. Crew arrived in safety equipment and started work at 8:00. At 9:15 Victor was letting know that the job was done.
I could not be happier with the work, Victor, the crew and this company!

Wow!  I was so impressed with the surgical precision that Hayward removed this 50 foot Sissoo tree from my backyard.  Three or four cuts removed by a crane to a crew that cut it into smaller pieces for the chipper.  Larger trunk pieces into a waiting trunk and then they stumped it down the ground.  Cleaned up nicely and were reasonably priced!  Thank you guys!

Based on the positive reviews, we gave Hayward a try. We won't use their services again. The positives: their quote was about $500 less than Tree Pros & about $115 less than Arbor Care; Hayward trimmed & fertilized the trees well; their communication (calling ahead to inform us the techs were on the way) was good, as was their response time when I expressed concerns & unhappiness. The negatives: the guys totally destroyed our watering lines when grinding two stumps; they didn't bother to tell us they did so; when someone returned to fix the lines, he had to fix one set & head to Lowe's to get more supplies because he wasn't told he had to fix two sets; he didn't bother asking to test the system before he left so it wasn't until I returned home from work that we discovered he crossed the tubing lines (now half of our plants are one one line, and the other half is on the same line/schedule as our trees); he didn't clean up his mess (I found pieces of tubing around the areas he replaced); he didn't bother to put the tubes back in the ground. One suggestion I would offer up to Hayward after our ordeal is that their quotes/estimates be more specific. I sent pics to them for our myrtle bushes that needed trimmed but their quote only called them a bush. Result? When the trimmers showed up, they didn't know which bushes to trim (and my sister, who was home, didn't remember they were supposed to trim them). So this isn't a complaint since we were partially at fault (me for not asking for the quote to be specific, my sister for not listening to me, Hayward for not adding the bush name to the quote; I mean, the trees on the quote were specifically named so why not the bushes? So yes, there was some good experiences, but in my opinion the bad experiences outweighed the good, hence the lower rating. I'm disappointed because based on other reviews, I was really hoping to have found a new tree care service.

Schedule a quote that was competitive with others.  Put down a thousand dollar deposit then two days before our appointment they called increasing the quote by 1000.  They stated the alley was too small, even though they had to see it for the quote.  Sketchy stuff.
