Great service and reasonably priced!
I had two palm tree stumps that needed to be removed. Roy explained the process and the expected work involved. I interacted with him via text. He was quick to respond and his crew of two (that day) was very friendly. They ground the stumps down and hauled away the dirt and debris.
I would hire them again and would recommend them to friends.

I have lived in AZ since 2010, and have been trying to find a quality, reliable tree service since then. I found one now, with Roy's.

Roy came out last week and gave me a bid to trim two overgrown citrus trees, trim 4 Mediterranean palms, and remove a bush. His crew arrived yesterday, on time, and did the work exactly as we had discussed. They then cleaned up completely. All at a very fair, affordable price.

I recommend Roy's Trees, and will use them again.

We had a huge tree that was too close to our house. We messaged Roy on Yelp. He answered quickly and made an appointment to remove the tree in a couple of days. His price was about 1/2 and the job with that gigantic tree took only about an hour. They cleaned up very well. He will come back to remove the stump as he poisoned the roots.

Excellent Service and Pricing! I had two palo verde trees in my front yard that had grown out of control. After reaching out to several tree trimming services I found Roy's Trees on Google Reviews and Yelp. All were 5-star reviews and now I see why. The monsoon took out our beloved Palo Verde tree last night, so at 6AM this morning, I was tasked with finding a tree removal company to get it off of our lawn as soon as possible.

I sent a request out to several companies via Yelp! and was immediately contacted by Roy's Trees with a price. I received about 3 generic/bot responses and also 2 or 3 actual responses from companies that said it would take a few days (to a week) to have someone come out to give me an estimate. I'm not going to have a 15' tree in my front lawn for 2 weeks, so waiting around for an estimate wasn't an option.

Roy's Trees pricing came in half of what the other companies wanted to do it for. HALF THE PRICE. He also said he could come in a few hours. When I mentioned that my daughter went down for her nap in about 4 hours, he asked if it was still raining where I was located. It was, but it was just sprinkling at that time and I let him know. He said he could come out in about 40 minutes to better accommodate my daughter's nap schedule.

He arrived with another crew member and went straight to work. Of course, it started raining heavily at that point but they did not let that stop them for a minute. The got all of the branches cut down in about 15 minutes and it took about another 20 - 25 minutes for them to get the stump pulled out.

After the tree was completely removed, they filled the hole back up and broom swept the entire sidewalk in front of my house and the street where there was debris from the tree. In the POURING RAIN. I couldn't believe it.

These guys earned their fee and definitely my future business and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree service/tree removal.

Gave me a fair quote and followed through with the job in a timely manner. I needed an extremely large pine tree in my backyard cut down because it was too close for comfort next to a power line/telephone line. Roy's team came out, realized they had to knock down my back wall to get to the tree so also brought in a crew to knock down and re-build my wall all the while they cut down my pine tree. This was done in a matter of days and they communicated with me every step of the way. When I came to pay, I paid the price they quoted. Couldn't ask for a better job!

I scheduled three estimates from different tree companies and Roy submitted the best bid. He was able to start the job within 4 days of submitting his estimate. It was a large job consisting of: trimming an overgrown ficus tree from ground level to 8 feet above my house, removing two date palm trees and grinding down the stumps, removing 4 African sumac trees and grinding the stumps, and trimming back overgrown oleanders from above roof level to 5 feet tall. His crew removed all of the debris and completed the job in less than a day and a half. His crew was efficient and polite and worked hard cleaning up my yard. I highly recommend this company!

I cannot say enough about how great of a job these guys did. My tree was cleaned up properly in the canopy and is ready for monsoon. They took down another old tree and ground the stump down plenty deep so that I can plant something else there. They cleaned everything up, showed up on time, and were a good amount less expensive than another quote I got.
I'm very happy the other company no showed on me. I've now got a new go to for tree trimming and removal.
They even showed up with a big chipper to dispose of everything.

You always wonder about yelp ads and the reviews if they are accurate because you have so many choices.
I can't say this strongly enough if you need tree help either storm damage or just maintenance don't look further Roy's Trees is all you need. I have a lot of trees and the last wind storm damage them broken branches, big ones. He kept in touch, lived up to quotes, showed up on time and did a outstanding job. Can you ask for more.

I had to write a review about my experience with Roy's Trees. I contacted them originally with a bit of a scheduling crunch as I was having a wall repaired and needed someone to come by and grind down some stumps that were in the way. I needed someone to show up exactly in between the time that the old wall was being torn down and the new one was coming up.

Roy was able to make it happen at the time I needed, he showed up exactly on time, was friendly, courteous and did a terrific job overall. While he was there I had asked him about trimming some palm trees and while he couldn't do it right then, he scheduled some of his guys to come by later that same day and they also did excellent work.

I'm happy to look to Roy for any needs I might have in the future and recommend him to others. He did exactly what I needed, exceeding my expectations, for a fair price and took care of any mess before he left. His guys were also punctual and very hard-working. If you're looking for great service with no nonsense, get in contact with Roy and let him help you out.

I first contacted Roy through the portal in Yelp and got pretty quick feedback with a fantastic price so I was ecstatic but skeptical despite having provided him with pictures of the job. I took it as my low bid and collected two more. Those prices were much higher. I considered it, but since I had to paint my house saving a few bucks was important. I (at this point) was texting directly with Roy. It took him up to a week to respond. He's give me a short Window to get the job done and by the time I responded he was 'booked'. This went on for a month or more.

I went back to his reviews and see that he's not that reliable, and he underbids the job and upcharges upon arrival. Be very careful. I ended up getting the work done by a more reputable landscaper who gave me a written estimate after a site visit, providing proof of insurance, and giving me a satisfaction guarantee.

Roy's Trees quote was the lowest of 5 quotes for the removal of 2 Mexican palm trees and that included the stump grinding. The palm trees where approximately 30 ft tall and one had to be pulleyed down from the top due to its proximity to a wall and pavers patio. The work has done professionally and efficiently with no damage to my property. I highly recommend Roy's Trees. I will not use any other tree service.

Had to have a 35' tree removed after large branches breaking off twice in storms. The tree didn't look safe anymore. Tried getting ahold of Roy's trees through Yelp but they never responded. Finally got ahold of them via phone. Roy came out and gave a really reasonable quote. This did not include grinding the stump but did include drilling holes and putting poison in it. The day of, the crew came out on time but had no idea if they were trimming the tree or what. Once I told them they were removing it they went to work. They did a great job, worked fast and didn't damage any plants nearby. Near the end Roy came out. When they were cleaning up I asked about the stump and Roy didn't seem to remember the part of placing the poison in the stump. He did take a chainsaw and cut into the stump but that was it. Not a big deal as I just went to the hardware store and bought some stump killer. Overall, I'd recommend them as they worked efficiently and had a really fair price.

Hired Roy's Trees to remove a tree from my front yard. I called Monday and although not an emergency they were able to come by Friday.

I was able to get a very competitive quote via text which was really convenient.

They did an incredible job removing the tree, grinding the stump, and cleaning up the yard...including an area of my patio that leaves had blown into BEFORE they ever came to cut down my tree. Highly recommend them and will definitely hire again if we remove another tree in the future!

My HOA required that the 4 trees bordering the rear backyard wall needed to be trimmed where the canopy of the trees would be 10 ft above the ground. Roy came to the house within a week to provide and estimate. His estimate was about half of what his competitors provided. He was pretty busy so he could not come to do the work for about two weeks which was ok.

Three workers showed up and provided the service requested. Roy did not show up himself and reviewed the scope of work over the phone with his crew lead. I then went over the scope again with the crew lead to be sure we were all in agreement.

The work was performed satisfactorily. I would use them again for a small job, but not sure they are equipped to handle a large tree removal.

Roy's Trees did an amazing job cutting down 2 trees in our backyard. The guys were efficient and respectful of our property. When they were done they even cleaned the debris out of our swimming pool! You don't find that kind of customer service very often. They were reasonably priced and were able to schedule quickly. Communication was great! A+ We needed a palm tree removed so we can extend the driveway. They gave us a quote using photos we sent over and were able to start the next week. Jacob was professional and prompt, he checked in with us twice to make sure we were happy with the progress. They even noticed Bulk item trucks in the area and gave us a discount for letting them stack the debris neatly on the sidewalk for city collection. Easy for us, easy for them, good offer! I would

We had to look for another tree trimming service after our original trimming service doubled their price and were weeks out from scheduling.
Roy was very prompt, responded with a quote that very day after we sent in pictures and was by the far the cheapest estimate. All our other quotes were at least twice as much!!
Our mesquite tree was trimmed perfectly and done promptly within a few days. We are thrilled to have found him and will obviously be switching our tree trimming over to him!!

no show 2x. said he ran late on saturday 10/2 but promised he would be able to come out first thing sun 10/3 with an eta of 12pm again a no show. his excuse his grandfather had been in the hospital for a couple of days and that's all he has been able to concentrate on anything else a couple of days if my math is correct would mean he had been dealing with family issue since friday at least. normally i would be sympathetic to his situation but i call bullshit so this company is liars they are very unproffesional, unreliable, and inconsiderate of my time i would stay away from this company no matter how good the quote a company like this will more than likley requote a higher bid once out to the job. these guys are untrustworthy

I truly can not recommend Roy's Trees enough. Here is why. I needed two palm trees removed. One was an eye sore to my cul-de-sac and the other a nuisance to my pool and my neighbor. I received several quotes, mostly for about the same price. Roy's Trees came in at the best price but also did more work for less money. Everyone else wanted extra money to grind stumps and these guys did it for less and also added 3 old stumps (still less expensive). Beyond price, the work was very well done. They cleaned up the mess and even moved rocks in my front yard to cover the stump. I could not be happier with the result. I am telling you, if you want a good company to do the work at the best price with friendly staff then use Roy's Trees.

Incredibly fast response time, efficient timing in coming out to give an estimate AND gave a reasonable amount for two large trees in our backyard that were a bit of a stress for us. I had Roy's trees out to trim 6 of my palm trees recently. I had asked for a quote from about 3 different tree trimming companies at the same time. They got back to me in a timely manner but Roy's was by far the lowest price. For the height of my trees and the amount of work that needed to be done, I felt like the other businesses were overpriced. I was very happy with Roy's price and response. I conversed with Roy over the Yelp app which made things very easy. We worked out a time and day for him to come by and do the work asked. He stated that it should take a couple hours do get done.

On the day of the appointment, Roy and his team showed up early and were ready to work. That was a pleasant surprise and many businesses now and days are late or slow getting ready. They quickly went to work and got the job done in under an hour. The only thing I asked them to do was to trim the skirt of one of my trees a little more. They had no problem doing it and it looked great after. I will use Roy's again when I need another trim!

Hired Roy's to remove two TX Ebony's based on a very competitive bid. As they were removing the stump in front water gushed everywhere. Builder or Owner ran PVC pipe to the water softner right next to the tree and buried only 6 inches. Not Roy's fault, no way to know the pipes were there. Their foreman came out immediately and repaired the pipe. Only charged $60 more than the bid which I was happy to pay. The roots were bending the pipes and probably would have broken in a few years anyways. I would definitely hire them again.

Roy and his team were excellent from start to finish. I contacted 3 different arborists for quotes to take down a towering pine tree in my front yard, and Roy's promptness AND price beat the others by a serious landslide.

Roy and his team showed up exactly when he said they would (down to the minute) and worked diligently throughout the day to take the behemoth down. They cleaned up the area so well that you can't even tell there was ever a tree there to begin with.

This review is to update the one written on May 1st. I met with the owner Roy, of Roy's tree service, who made things right and apologized about the missed appointment.

The tree stump removal was completed and done well. The owner also showed up to be sure there were no problems and was very professional. Care was taken so debris did not end up in the pool and the work was completed in a timely matter.

This is the only tree service to use. I have a number of trees on my property that require trimming and recently needed a tree removal thanks to the monsoon. I contacted Roy after receiving 4 other quotes from companies that were just ridiculous! I wanted this damn plan tree out of my front yard, he said no worries we'll take care of it. We set a schedule for a Saturday morning, he sent one man from his crew to cut it down and he showed up a few hours later to remove the stump. My wife and I were very happy with the work he and his crew performed, we will recommend them anytime! Thxs again guys..

Terrible service! Please save your time and DO NOT contact them or use their service. After much back and forward on Yelp I was told tomorrow afternoon but at the end they never call or show up.

I message them in the early afternoon of the appointment and was told one hour but 3 hours later, no show. I called and was told there was car trouble and will try to make it. 2 hours later, no call and told me when I call nope, won't make it today and can't help you tomorrow either

The excuse for not contacting me was out of service but somehow they able to answer my call when I call.

Roy and crew did an amazing job removing three palm trees from a very difficult job site. Roy was extremely prompt, gave the lowest quote, and had the job scheduled and done efficiently. I also appreicate that he remained communicative during the process, so I always knew where we were at leading up to and during the project. I think the biggest hallmark of his professionalism was that he was the last to leave after spending time cleaning up water bottles and other debris from his hard working crew. Fantastic service. Will definitely use again.

Roy promptly replied my inquiry of trimming and topping an eucalyptus tree and sent me a quote. After reviewing a few quotes, I went with Roy for his scheduling and willingness to get the job. I called to confirm on the day of, Roy's crew was running behind which was understandable knowing we had a windy weather last night. Roy and his crew worked for a couple hours and he decided to tell me that this job should have charged me x amount instead because he couldn't get in the backyard the day he came check out the job. I must admit that I was disappointed. However Roy didn't charge me more than he quoted. They did a great job cutting the tree and I am happy with the quality of their work. I would make sure he is certain about his quote next time I hire him again.

I waited as long as I could to get these two mesquite trees in the front of my yard trimmed. It wasn't like there are folks waiting around the block to trim your trees. The multiple soliciting business cards left on my door or front yard to get the hint of maybe I should do something about my landscaping. Came on Yelp and got some quotes from quite a few people. Roy was someone who responded back to me personally. The original plan was to have him trim the worse of the two trees and then come back in a month to trim the other tree. He was punctual right at 7AM on a Saturday morning. Turns out the worse of the two trees was already splitting and starting to fall forward. God forbid day one of monsoon season he tells me this tree needs to be removed because it's falling. At the moment didn't have the money to do a tree removal so I had him trim both trees. Even though he hadn't planned on trimming both he was able to accommodate me and work around his schedule to get them both knocked out. Huge difference with the pics in terms of night and day. The overgrowth was atrocious and now both neighbors who had branches crossing onto their property lines are now very happy with me.

I'm going to use Roy to remove the bad tree but I would highly recommend using Roy's Trees because they were kind, respectful of my property, and did the job the right way - the first time

We need our 5 large trees trimmed and called Roy's. They scheduled to come and do an estimate but never showed up, never called and did not even return our calls. I took time off of work to meet them. If you're going to set an appointment with a potential client, you should show up. If you can't show up as scheduled, you should contact the client and let them know. If you get a call from a client asking for a return call, you should return our call. Roy's Trees are a fail for us.

Did a fantastic job on our trees, especially an overgrown palo verde encroaching on our roof and neighbor's property and a super tall eucalyptus that was getting very top heavy. I telephoned Roy's Trees to request trimming of several of my trees, and Roy answered immediately. He came over to view the job 90 minutes later. He listened to my requirements, which included un-obstructing a neighbor's view of the East Valley. Roy gave me a very reasonable price quote and scheduled a date. (Usually when I call a tree trimmer, he never answers me or shows up at all!)

Roy appeared at my house with an assistant exactly when he said he would. They started doing such beautiful and artistic work, I asked Roy to go ahead and trim all of my trees. He gave me a good price and completed the job that morning.

I am very happy with the work done by Roy's Trees, and highly recommend them. My yard has never looked so good!

Roy was great from start to finish. He first came over to give a quote--very competitive and reasonable prices. He then was very flexible with scheduling our tree removal. He texted when he was on his way with an ETA and the whole process took about 5 hours. He texted me when they were almost finished so I could come home from work to get him paid. They grinded the stump, too, looks very level with the ground. They even picked up all their mess and the pine cones the tree left. Roy was great to work with, and I'd call him again for future services.

Super fast response to my initial contact. Punctual on morning of work. Took down one large bottle tree tree and removed 3 stumps in under two hours. Area where the tree was looks like the tree was never there! All landscaping rocks put back evenly, both front and back patios blown off and all areas cleaned up more and better than when they started. Excellent work.

Contacted Roy's Trees to get a bunch of my trees an over-due trim. Roy got back to me quickly and stopped by the next day. We walked the property and I could quickly tell that he had a good eye and understood what I wanted to accomplish.
We scheduled a date/time and he showed up and he and his partner went about their work. I feel bad that I let my trees get out of hand, but WOW...it all looks great! Its a good thing he has a large trailer because he just about filled it up! A very fair price, and he couldn't have been more professional and accommodating. I requested an estimate to remove two stumps, a palm tree and some additional debris. Roy provided an initial estimate within an hour and was responsive throughout the entire transaction. He quickly scheduled an appointment. He arrived exactly when he said he would. Roy and his employee completed all of the work exactly as we had agreed. They were polite and efficient. The person who left a bad review seems annoying. These guys were awesome. Quickly received a very competitive price and did a great job. The tree I had removed took them close to 10 hours the first day and they came back a second day to finish up and clean. Really hard workers and they didn't complain at all when my neighbors kept coming by bothering them for wood.

Wasn't pleased with the service we received. To begin, I am not a complainer and I am fair in my reviews of good and bad. We hired this company to cut back and thin out 4 of our trees. We were quoted $600. We have had this job done multiple times as we have lived in our home for close to 7 yrs. When the job was complete I went outside and was shocked at the little change made to our trees. They simply cut out branches to bring the tree in, but did not thin the tree out - at all. I was told he does not thin out trees and if I wanted him to, he would charge more. We went back and forth until he decided he would come back and fix the
Trees. When I arrived home, he had thinned one tree, but failed to do the other. He was not thorough in his work, at all. In addition, one of his men left our pool gate hitched open with a rock which was seen on camera and left open and they left my property that way. As a parent of small children, I can not begin to express my outrage. All in all, they did a half hearted job and I would NOT recommend them.

I contacted Roy about having a dead tree that had fallen over during a dust storm, he came out that day, gave me the fairest price and was back the next day (on time) to remove it. His crew was fast and clean. Bonus he even picked up some of the mesquite branches I had left from when I trimmed another tree in my yard the day before. He was courteous, prompt and did good work for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend his services and will definitely be contacting him again for any landscaping needs.
