I contacted Hayward Tree Services and I couldn't have asked for better!!! The owner Phil was top notch and more than reasonable. He has a great crew. They we professionals. They worked hard and quick. I had 6 trees removed and they did an amazing job. Couldn't have asked for better. I would highly recommend him and his company for any tree removal or fertilization services you need. Highly professional. Great equipment. Super responsive. Overall, highly satisfied.

I had the owner come out to my home last night at 6:30 to give me a quote on removing 6 trees at my home. Not only was his price competitive compared to other quotes, but very friendly and professional.
When I arrived this afternoon at 3:30, all 6 trees were gone and if you didn't know it, you could not tell I had any trees. There was very little evidence of any trees in my yard. They grounded down the stumps and make the ground around look natural.
I would highly recommend Hayward Tree Service over anyone.

Awesome service! All the know how, equipment and staffing to knock the job out efficiently and safely. Our jog seemed technical to me, being a tight space. Hayward sent their crane, and out those trees went. Don't waste your time getting quotes that are basically going to be virtually the same. Hayward proved they could handle it!

They went above and beyond for service. I had them out to remove two trees. When I got home, not only were the trees removed but so was the old debris that I was expecting to have to take care of once the trees were gone. Even my patio was swept. They were also about $500 cheaper than another company for the exact same service. Great communication and prompt service.

We had Hayward come out to give us a quote to remove 3 trees and possibly trim up our huge mulberry tree. A certified arborist came out and looked and he told us that the mulberry is rotting and explained it to me. The trunk had split into 4 and would fall once it leafed out. The trunk had a hollow sound as well so we added that to the list. We were happy with the price. All said and done we ended up getting rid of 4 trees (2 dead, 2 in bad areas) their stumps and 3 additional stumps that the previous owners had left. They had a cancellation so were able to come a week early too! They were on time and did a wonderful job and left the yard cleaner than they found it! I would definitely recommend them!

I've had them trim my 3 trees for probably 4 years now. On time, good job, and clean up the mess that the tree trimming makes. They are generally $50-$100 less than other estimates that I've had done.

Got an estimate for getting large tree limbs cut that were overhanging my daughters room. After estimator came out they said Id get an estimate later that afternoon. Didnt hear from them the first day, nor the second day. Reached out and was told owner will let me know the next day. Once again, nothing. The following day I reached out again and was told owner is not interested in doing the job. AVOID this company like the plague. They are unprofessional and will waste your time!

Based on the positive reviews, we gave Hayward a try. We won't use their services again. The positives: their quote was about $500 less than Tree Pros & about $115 less than Arbor Care; Hayward trimmed & fertilized the trees well; their communication (calling ahead to inform us the techs were on the way) was good, as was their response time when I expressed concerns & unhappiness. The negatives: the guys totally destroyed our watering lines when grinding two stumps; they didn't bother to tell us they did so; when someone returned to fix the lines, he had to fix one set & head to Lowe's to get more supplies because he wasn't told he had to fix two sets; he didn't bother asking to test the system before he left so it wasn't until I returned home from work that we discovered he crossed the tubing lines (now half of our plants are one one line, and the other half is on the same line/schedule as our trees); he didn't clean up his mess (I found pieces of tubing around the areas he replaced); he didn't bother to put the tubes back in the ground. One suggestion I would offer up to Hayward after our ordeal is that their quotes/estimates be more specific. I sent pics to them for our myrtle bushes that needed trimmed but their quote only called them a bush. Result? When the trimmers showed up, they didn't know which bushes to trim (and my sister, who was home, didn't remember they were supposed to trim them). So this isn't a complaint since we were partially at fault (me for not asking for the quote to be specific, my sister for not listening to me, Hayward for not adding the bush name to the quote; I mean, the trees on the quote were specifically named so why not the bushes? So yes, there was some good experiences, but in my opinion the bad experiences outweighed the good, hence the lower rating. I'm disappointed because based on other reviews, I was really hoping to have found a new tree care service.

Hayward Tree Removal did a great job of removing our 75+ foot palm tree. They showed up promptly and had the tree removed in less than 20 minutes. They then did a great job of grinding down the stump and clean up. Their pricing came in several hundred dollars less than other estimates. We would highly recommend them for any tree service.

Hayward's crew was fabulous as far as getting our tree removed. Very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Their set up and take down as well as clean up for both us and our neighbor was just fantastic. Also, office staff responded quickly and took good care of us as far as set up and appointment scheduling. Phil came out and did the estimate in a very timely manner. So glad we chose Hayward again (we used them many years ago, also). Really happy their service is still as good as we remembered. Just wonderful.

This was the 2nd time I have used Hayward Tree Service to remove 2 extremely large trees in our yard. 45 year old trees. Both times we were extremely satisfied with the work they preformed. I can't vouch for being on time the 1st time around because the work was done while I was at work but the 2nd time the crew showed up on time, they respected my property and the best part they all spoke English so there wasn't any miscommunication. They cleaned everything up if it wouldn't have been for the small pile of sawdust where the stump used to be you never even would have known a tree had ever been there.

I highly recommend Hayward. It's a great local business with reasonable prices and great quality work, and they are insured so I could have a piece of mind.

We reviewed our options for getting 2 mature trees groomed in the back yard. We back up to a green belt & trees were growing over view fence as well as impeding on neighbors yards. I contacted Hayward via Yelp/e-mail & basically got everything scheduled thru e-mail or text!- They sent a Tree- tech out to give us an estimate- we were satisfied w/ that & scheduled the service for a week out.
I received a few calls to confirm & I verified. The guys showed up when expected & did a great job. Cut a few branches we were not expecting to get cut & left a few we thought would go, but it was no big issue, they look great. As other Yelpers mentioned- there was no sign of debris & they cleaned up the yard well.
We will certainly use this service again!

I had 5 very large, very mature, Australian Bottle Trees removed from the yard of my rental property in Chandller. From the direct, no-nonsense delivery of the fair cost estimate, to the professional and clean removal and stump grind of the trees, I was completely satisfied. The team showed up on-time, removed the trees safely and quickly using a crane to avoid damage to my home and HVAC unit. They even ground two tree stumps embedded in a brick paver patio without issue or damage to the patio. I would highly recommend Hayward for any tree service needs and will certainly use them again in the future. They're back-office personnel is very accommodating and friendly as well, making the entire process very simple and issue-free.

These guys are AWSOME! They were at 9:45 to take down two huge palms and were finished and cleaned up and gone by 11:30! They had to remove a few concrete edge stones in the front to get the crane truck in closer and even replaced the stones before they left. The whole crew was so nice and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend Hayward Tree Service for any tree related job you might have. Philip came by on Thursday, gave me an estimate which was the same as others I had gotten and was here today, the next day, to do the job. I will definitely call them if I ever need another tree removed.

From the initial call requesting an estimate, to the completion of the job yesterday, we were thoroughly impressed with Hayward Tree Service! She was great on the phone and email providing estimate details, and Phil got right back to me with job details etc. When they arrived yesterday morning it was apparently these guys have ALL the equipment to do the job, including a massive crane, a stumper and the largest chipper I have ever seen. 4 50' palms were cut, hoisted and ground up in about an hour! The crew was was courteous , safe, careful of the property and surroundings, and cleanup was thorough. Pricing was very fair-I highly recommend them for any kind of tree service !

These guys did an OUTSTANDING job today. We had 2 insanely huge and out-of-control Sissous in our backyard and they showed up on time and completed the job they quoted. They really did above and beyond. We are very happy with the way our trees were trimmed: they climbed up even the tallest branch (50ft?) and pruned and corrected the growth of these trees. We really hadn't expected that level of thoroughness and were quite impressed. They also did a great job on clean-up.. if you know Sissous, they are a total PITA when it comes to leaves.. they cleaned all the mess on their way out. I highly recommend them for your serious tree pruning jobs.!

Wish I had a good experience as other reviewers.
I found the price quite high for the work that was done.
I had 4 trees trimmed and they didn't really do a great
job. I have been trimming more and more since they
were here. Also the clean-up was less than acceptable.
Had another company a couple years ago and they did
a better job for half the price. Guess I should have just
used them again instead of Hayward.

I used the company for 2 years on the recommendation of a friend. Palm removal-went well. Deep citrus fertilization-went well. I asked the arborist his opinion about my citrus. Response: Your gardeners are trimming them into balls & they think they are bushes. So let them grow out, we will come back & start shaping. Six months later, please come back & trim my citrus trees. I came home from work and they were-------balls. I called to express my disappointment. I talked to the arborist (a different one, not convinced she really was an arborist, rather the girl in the next desk) who said some people like balls, you should have said you don't. I asked if there were notes from my previous visit. No, we don't keep them. So I paid an outrageous amount of money for something my gardeners were doing each month as part of my service. I should not have paid for this, but I did and I am moving on.

Hayward Tree Service is AMAZING! I had a huge tree in my front yard and three huge shrubs in the back and they came through like termites and destroyed the wood. The crane took the largest and it was so quick just minutes and they also quickly cleaned up. The backyard, huge tree, and with cleanup and they were done in a hour-so awesome! While the company answered my call promptly, they indicated that the earliest we can have an estimator in your area [Scottsdale] would be 8 days from today. If it takes them 8 days to provide an estimate, I can only imagine how long it would take to actually provide the intended tree removal services.

These guys were as good as it gets. Everything from the initial bid, (very reasonable) to the follow up by Sher in the office was perfect. The crew was on time, courteous, and professional. The job they did (wow) 3 huge trees (grapefruit, Juniper, and a bottle brush tree) were all at least 30 years old. They did the job, even did a little extra at no additional charge, and their clean up was spot on. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tree service.

They did in 2 hours what my landscaper proposed he do over 3 days. They left my yard perfectly clean when they were done. I just had Hayward Tree Scapes remove two mesquite trees from my backyard. Nothing but good things to say about this crew. Their bid was competitive. In fact, it was the best of 3 for removing two trees. They arrived on time and completed the job in 1.5 hours including removing both trees, grinding out the stumps and complete cleanup. They brought a large crane and lifted each tree from the yard thereby protecting my yard from damage. It was quite entertaining watching entire trees being lifted and placed in the street. Give these guys a try.

We found this tree removal service on Craigslist and we were totally impressed with their service. We had some dead trees in our yard that had to go before monsoon season, so we gave these guys a call. We had emailed photos of the trees that needed removal and they sent us back an estimate that came in a lot lower than all the others we had found.

The day of the appointment they called to let us know they would arrive in a half hour and they were on time and got to work right away. They took out three very large and very dead trees in an hour and a half, and that included grinding out the stump and cleaning up the yard.

If you find yourself in need of some tree removal, don't hesitate to give these guys a call.

After years of sensing danger from a 69 foot high palm tree kissing the fascia of my building, I called Hayward. They own their own crane AND they carry proper insurance. My trio of palms were airlifted over my precious house without incident. Price was fair for the service provided and now I can stop worrying. What is that worth ??? Customer service left a bit to be desired, but they did what they said they'd do and did a great job. They removed a big tree that cracked in a storm, and the stump too. They didn't even mess up the surrounding plants when grinding the stump! The cleaned up and literally only left footprints.

Not the cheapest, but definitely worth every penny.

I hired Hayward Tree to remove trees from my property. The owner came out a few days before, walked the property with me and showed me videos of previous similar jobs they had done. He was quick and professional. Gave me a verbal quote on the spot followed up later in the day with a detailed written quote via email. The office followed up with me to schedule the job. On the day of the job they gave me plenty of notice of their arrival. While here I was impressed with the efficiency and teamwork of the Hayward Tree crew. They take great care not to damage anything using sturdy mats before driving equipment onto the property and using protective screens while grinding tree stumps. The clean up was excellent with little sign they were even here. The crew was hard working and they even cut a few logs for me to keep. I highly recommend Hayward Tree!

These guys are the ones to call. I had two other companies come out to provide estimates. They were reasonable but I still did not want to pull the trigger. I didn't feel quite comfortable. I was wishing (actually praying) that I could find or make the right decision. One of the trees had a huge limb probably as big around as a large frisbee going over my house. So I drove past an apartment complex that Hayward was at and they were doing tree trimming and I was stuck behind a school bus. So while I was behind a school bus I was watching these guys and I was super impressed. I called the number on their huge truck set up an appointment and they were a little more expensive than the other two companies but I will always call Hayward. Their work is perfect. There was a crew leader named Manny. This guy is five star. Any year when I have them come back out to trim again I am going to request Manny.

One hire, 2 NO SHOWS! We got an estimate for the front trees and it was ok, so we hired them for the tree trimming. Waited between 8am-12pm, no show. They ended up coming after 12:40pm to do the work. Worked looked good so we asked for an estimate to cut down and kill roots of a tree in the back. I took hours off of work to wait for their 11am-2pm window and they never came. No call, no note. Turns out they were here early and we never got a price for what we needed. Who can afford to just wait around all day for someone who might not show up.

I needed a VERY large cactus removed from my backyard very close to my house. It was leaning and I worried it would fall and do tremendous damage. I found them on google search, contacted them and sent photos. They came to inspect the area and how they could remove this heavy cactus. The team showed up on schedule - set all up and got it out so easily. And cleaned up all debris so the yard looked perfect when they left. Manny was amazing climbing on ladder to cut cactus and prepping it to be lifted out by the crane. And Phil was a master at setting up the crane and handling the crane to lift the cut pieces out. These people are pros!! I am so grateful to find them and strongly recommend!

We live in an area of South Tempe with hugh pine trees. I called Hayward for an estimate to remove a large pine 40 inches from the house. Definitely needed a crane to get out safely. A week after accepting the very reasonable quote, Hayward showed up with two trucks, 7 men, a large crane, chipper, and stump grinder. They had the tree safely removed in 11/2 hours. The men were all hustle, no swearing, and totally professional. I'm a retired construction manager and believe this contactor is about as good as they come. I highly recommend.

I asked Hayward Tree Service to remove a palm tree that was planted immediately next to my house that was a danger to the structure. I called and they were so professional and friendly and willing to schedule the work two weeks out. The owner himself came, on time, to give me an estimate. The job was a small one actually but, that did not matter to him. He took my concerns seriously - that the porch screens may get damaged during the removal so precautions were needed. Most outfits would have passed on the job. They sent their estimate immediately and called to schedule.... very friendly and helpful office personnel to deal with. Their tree crew came out on time and were very professional and friendly and did a great job in a timely manner. They were careful about the screens and cleaned up everything. I highly recommend this outfit for every tree removal job!

I need three medium size palm trees removed, saw their ad and called for a quote, set up an appointment for four days later with a three hour window. Doorbell rings and it takes me about two minutes to get to the door, as I happened to be on the other side of the house, upstairs, and had to corral dogs. And it's not like I got a courtesy call 30 minutes ahead of time like most other places. Anyway, I get to the door (again, two minutes max) and the guy is climbing back into his car. So I stand on my front porch for another solid minute until he finally glances over as he's started the car and is about to drive away. I raise my arms in kind of a WTH gesture. He climbs back out of his car, no apology or explanation, and it goes downhill from there. Rude, curt responses to questions, as if I was somehow wasting his time. All verbal quotes, nothing offered in writing, and it seemed like he couldn't get out fast enough even though I'm asking about things like lead times as I'm ready to move forward. Disturbingly, he did pause long enough to take some pictures of some vehicles in my backyard and asked me a couple of questions about them (without asking and like they were any of his business anyway). No handshake, thanks, or anything like that upon leaving. Honestly I should have just let him drive away to begin with. Solid pass, as there are plenty of other reputable tree services minus the attitude.

I called and described my situation (I have two large Eucalyptus trees in dire need of trimming and oleanders), they said they would have the schedulers call to set up an appointment for sometime on Monday. I Never received the 2nd call to set up the appointment. They just showed up.....I thought ok, maybe some miscommunication.

They looked over the tree and my wife (i was not home due to miscommunication) asked they call me since I had more in depth knowledge about what is needed. They never called. After several days I called them.

Their response Oh we decided not to give you a quote....sorry. Maybe once they arrive they do a great job but honestly it took a lot of time and effort to get that response.

I did not hire this company, but was so impressed with their customer service I wanted to write a review. I got five quotes to have a very large pine tree removed from my front yard. I'm on a very tight budget, and one other company gave me a slightly better rate. Don't know if I'll regret my decision, as I have not yet received the work.

Someone at Hayward answered my call right away, so I didn't have to leave a message and wait for a reply. She was very professional, took all my information, and scheduled an estimate for the very next day. I was then sent a confirmation text (which I had agreed was okay when I originally called... I know not everyone likes to communicate via text). The estimate was scheduled within a three hour window which was met in a timely fashion. An estimate was emailed to me almost immediately after their visit. I was then given a phone call the very next day to follow up and make sure I had received the estimate.

Customer service is everything in my opinion and these guys really hit it home. Although they were beat by one other company, they gave me a VERY reasonable quote. They outbid the next lowest company by $200 and the most expensive company by $400, so I think you'll be getting a great deal if you use these guys. I would recommend them to anyone!

Hayward came out yesterday to trim a few palms as well as a sumac that was close to the house and pretty overgrown. Palms look good as expected; the sumac is what really made a difference - They trimmed the greenery up to about roof height, and trimmed away from the roof and my neighbors fence. It is insane how much brighter it looks in that corner of the yard, and you can actually see that side of the house - makes it all look that much better. They cleaned up and hauled away all debris and also cleaned up around trees. Will be using them again as needed.

The price was fair, and they came when they said they would, and they came back as promised to finish what could not be done that day. Did good job removing one tree, but they shaped up and trimmed my orange too, and I think they cut too much. Now it has very little fruit. Hopeful this will resolve itself next season. Sad panda. They are the experts, if cutting off too much was going to shock my tree I wish they would have at least warned me. Updated: The tree has recovered nicely and I am very happy now!

I had a very large, very old pine tree in the front yard that needed to be cut down and the debris from a lemon tree in the back yard removed also. They arrived well within the 4 hour window provided and were done in a very timely manner. It is not like a know a thing about removing trees, but from the beginning I knew I could trust these people. The estimator knew what he was doing as well as being pleasant, the office staff was helpful setting up a date and the called the day before with a window, The actual crew seemed professional and experienced. They cleaned up after themselves and the real test, they locked the gate to the alley before they left. Most landscape people forget to do that and it is important for security.

I called Haywood for an estimate on trimming my four palm trees. The rep was at our home within two days and suggested to us that we also needed to have our palms injected with a nutrient mix that would help them survive better in the upcoming summer climate. Once again, mislead by Yelp reviewers, I selected Hayward after receiving three bids. Hayward was the middle bid for removal of three trees.
They were just OK. They did what they quoted and they did it fast. They broke a couple of pavers and their clean up was sub par.

Have used Hayward for pruning my mesquite tree at my old house on several occasions. Had them remove 2 trees at the new house and prune the two big trees in the backyard. They have always been on time, professional and thorough. The trees look great and they always clean up the whole yard afterwards. Oh, and their prices are low compared to other estimates I received. First off, thank you Hayward Tree Service Team!
December 2015 we were looking for a tree service to get an out of control tree in our front yard under control, and saw a Hayward team working on trees in the neighborhood, check them out on Yelp, and had them out to for an estimate, it was suggested that the tree should be thinned out, and balanced, partly because we had been hacking away at the tree over the years trying to keep it off the house. Service was completed and we were impressed with all aspects of the service.
Well here we are at the end of 2016 and thinking we should work more on thinning and shaping the tree in the front, and to our surprise we got a call from Hayward on Wednesday, they came out on Thursday for an estimate since we wanted three trees in the back yard worked on, and a Queen Palm removed. Friday the crew arrived, and the work was completed.
In both experiences, the service was stress free, fast, professional, and the charges have been very fair.

We are new to the AZ area and needed an expert to come out and thin some trees in our yard that had been neglected. Free estimate was provided before hand. Scheduling was easy and appointment time quick (within a week). The trimmers were prompt and cleaned up after the job. We had some questions/concerns and the owner himself came out and answered them. Great experience. Got a response quickly and a free quote within a couple days. The quote was easy to understand and they broke down the cost the way I asked them to so I could decide what trees I wanted them to do. I didn't get any pressure to book an appointment which was nice. I ended up going with them because their quote beat out another one. They came when they said they would, did a great job and I was able to leave a check under the doormat and didn't need to be there.

Well they never showed up!!!! Appointment was for between 1-4 pm and now its 5 pm and no phone call, nothing!!!! They even called yesterday to verify the appointment??!!! This is the SECOND tree trimming service we called and still cant get anyone to show up!! Whats wrong with people--I guess they really don't want to work!!!

2 thumbs up! I had 3 citrus and 1 willow Acadia desperately needing to be trimmed.

I was impressed with Sebastian's thorough walk through to give me an estimate. He took the time to look at the health and condition of the trees. That was the main reason I went with Hayward. If someone is going to be concerned about my trees health like they would their own, I'm sold! The quote was less than expected as well.

The crew was friendly, hard working and fast. They made sure I was satisfied with the look of the trees before cleaning up. The trees were perfectly trimmed and all the deadwood was cleaned out. They even helped me collect some fallen citrus fruit! When finished, my yard looked better than before they came! Again they were extremely fast and efficient.

I also had a fertilization treatment the day before the trees were trimmed. The man who came was extremely nice and quick.

Hayward employees are really respectful and do a great job. I recommend them and I will hire them again when needed. Thanks!

They trimmed our ficus trees for a lot of $$ and left BOTH our landscape lighting and our neighbors lighting a mess. My neighbor was upset and called herself to complain. They explained that they only had x amount of time to trim the trees and weren't able to correct the lighting. Do they really need to get into that? WHat about just and apology? Both our neighbor and i were upset. they eventually did come back and fix the lighting but still not pleased. My husband is not happy with the trimming and would look elsewhere to have it done again. I would not recommend them.

Hayward was amazing! We had to take our tree down because it was causing severe allergy problems for us. It was a large Tipu tree and Hayward had it down and cleaned up within an hour. They were friendly, efficient and cleaned up very well afterwards. I highly recommend Hayward!

This is the first time I have used a tree service since moving to the Phoenix area. I asked for estimates from three different companies and decided to use Hayward Tree Service. This is one of the best decisions I have ever. They arrived at my house exactly as scheduled and promptly began working. Two hours later, my yard looked excellent! I would never haved dreamed they would have done such a good job. The two trees they trimmed has not been trimmed in almost 10 years. What used to look like a jungle, now looks like a Real Yard. I have a lot of trees on my property and have used several so called landscapers. Most of them just cut branches without any training or knowledge of what they are doing, and I have lost several trees due to these hackers.

They did an excellent job! We had them trim 2 very large overgrown trees and they removed 3 large trees. We were concerned since one of the trees, a 35 ft+ tall pine tree was ~3 ft from our house, yet they very carefully and slowly removed the tree piece by piece until the whole thing was gone. They were very careful to not damage the house/windows/neighbors/etc. They were extremely professional! Cleaned up everything - even the stuff that fell in the neighbors yards and used a blower to get every last leaf. They asked our opinion on how to trim the trees. They clearly know what they are doing. We plan on using them again for any future tree trimming/removal needs we have! Plus their quote was much cheaper than competitors. Highly recommended!!

I needed two trees removed and a limb over the house taken off. I saw that Hayward Tree Service had the best reputation on yelp.com of the tree services. Their estimate person was top notch, no hassle, honest, and great to work with on the estimate. I got 3 overpriced estimates from other tree services and Hayward was the only estimate that was in line with similar past work that was done on our property by other tree services that did not overcharge. The tree crew came at the time requested, did an outstanding job, and cleaned up the job site extremely well. I highly recommend Hayward for tree removal. My experience with them was outstanding.

I had four palm trees and another tree that needed to be trimmed, all were out of control. I contacted Hayward to come give me an estimate. They gave me what was a good price and I went ahead and scheduled the service. We agreed to a day for them to come prune the trees and I went ahead and took the day off from work so I could be home to let them in the back yard and pay them. They assured me they would be there between 11-1. At 10:20 I got a phone call from the company telling me they were cancelling because they allegedly got in to an auto accident that morning. I subsequently contacted another company who arrived on time, quoted me a better price, and did not make me waste a vacation day waiting for them to never show up.

Stay away from this one. It cost me a vacation day at my job and to be honest several things in their story don't add up. So many other reputable companies, go with one of them instead.

I got an estimate from Hayward after 2 other companies gave their bid - Hayward was by far the cheapest. Removed a 25 year old pine tree that was dead in 1.5 hours. Ground stump but did not go deep enough, however and had to finish myself. Owner did estimate & the work - crew of 4 worked efficiently & took care. 3 of my neighbors came to get a bid while he was working. Highly recommend using Hayward.

Hayward's is awesome! I called this company to cut down a huge, 40 year old eucalyptus tree in my mom's yard. It was the only company who I called that actually answered their phone. By that afternoon, the owner had emailed a quote to me. The price was very fair. The owner and one helper came when they said they would and worked their butts off. It was a difficult and hot job, but they were careful and hauled everything away. The owner was easy to work with and gives me hope there are other small businesses out there that are this honest, fair and trustworthy. Hayward did a great job removing five trees from the back desert area of my yard and one in my front courtyard. They arrived within their stated time window on a Saturday. The crew's professional foreman went over everything with me before they started removing the trees. He even agreed to remove a smaller tree that was also impeding my view of the mountains.They blew all the debris after removing the tree from my courtyard.

It did take some time to get an estimate back from them, but my yard is very large and has a back desert area with many trees. This caused the delay, along with the fact that I could not be there when the estimator came to my house. The office scheduling girls were very nice and the manager was very courteous. He apologized for the delay and confusion. They put me on their schedule immediately once we confirmed exactly which trees I wanted to be removed.

I shopped around for prices and Hayward's gave me the best estimate by far. The work was done to my satisfaction. I would recommend them and will use them again in the future.

We had to remove a huge tree because its heavy, overhanging branches presented a safety hazard to our house and cars.

We found Hayward online and gave them a call. Their estimate was very reasonable compared to that given to us by other tree services and noted that Hayward was highly rated by its former customers.

We were not disappointed!!

They scheduled a crew to start work within three days and the scheduler kept in touch to let us know when the crew would arrive. When they arrived, the crew got right to work on the tree and worked continuously, removing branches, the trunk, and grinding the stump.

This turned out to be a 5+ hour job (HUGE tree). And on top of that, they cleaned up the entire yard before they left.

We highly recommend giving Hayward a call if your trees are in need of servce.

I am a very picky person. I believe in getting the best for my money and I look for the best deal. I had two stumps (one large) one small and one 10 foot palm tree that I wanted removed and the stump ground. I got 5 quotes from various tree service companies. I was looking for the best deal, but also the most professional company. Right away I liked this company. I still had 3 more quotes to get, but these guys stuck out. My boyfriend was the one who dealt with them. We had asked them to call him before they went out to give the quote. Many of the tree companies didn't call. They just showed up, were 2 hours late, or asked a INSANE price. Hayward, came in at a very fair rate. Not the cheapest, but I believe you get what you pay for and in this case, we were paying for professionals to do a job right. They came out very professionally dressed (its the little details) and then promptly emailed a quote. After we made our decision, my boyfriend called them and they got us on the schedule. We weren't in a huge hurry but didn't want to wait to long. Tree trimmers are often busy and book out a few weeks in advance. The day before they called to remind us of the appt and told my boyfriend they would call before they arrived. The next day, they called before they arrived and my boyfriend met them there. The entire process took less then 20 min if that. They cleaned up the area and removed all the debris. I must say I was very pleased with the work, professionalism and just everything. I would recommend them for all your tree needs!

My experience with Hayward was excellent in every aspect. I submitted an online request for an estimate. Philip showed up on time, gave me an estimate and emailed me a written quote. Monday afternoon I received a call to schedule my tree removal. Wednesday at 8 a.m. - on time - 3 men came and removed my tree, cleaned up behind themselves and you would never know that a very tall and full palo verde tree had been in that small corner of my back yard. They were friendly and great at their job. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

We had secured the services of another tree guy to remove our tall, dead pine tree, the second or third tallest tree in the 'hood. My wife requested that he bring his Certif. of Insurance. He never showed up. I called Hayward, they gave an estimate just a bit higher than the other service. On the appointed day, Mr. Hayward and his crew showed up, and laid the tree low in less than an hour. The APS line to our house ran under one of the offending branches, but that was no obstacle. They moved several obstructions in the yard in order to complete the job. Highly recommended! They do good work. If he left a magnet on your door, you likely need his services, and they do good work!

These guys did a great job!
I have a 30' ash in my front yard that I have been neglecting for years, and knew it was time to do something about it before the whole thing ended up on my roof. There were many dead spots from previous years late freezes and this recent one (27 deg for three nights straight!) I knew I needed to get the thing looked at.
Sebastian was on time for the estimate and very helpful with what needed to be done. We settled on a feed and crown clean.
After some initial confusion regarding their Yelp Deal, we got the service scheduled.
Trimming day arrived and the crew was early (I like that). Unfortunately, once they got up in the crown of the tree the true damage could be seen. They had to cut most of the crown out (dead and brittle) as well as much of the lower branches. They gave the tree a 70% chance of making it by the time all was said and done.
It looks like a bit of a Charlie Brown Christmas tree right now, but there are signs of life yet. I'm hopeful that in the next couple of years with some proper care we can bring this guy back to its former glory.

Hayward Tree Service was very professional in removing an unwanted palm tree and grinding two other stumps from my yard. Scheduling over the phone with their office staff was easy. The estimator showed up on time and his price was better than a competitor's quote I received for the same work. The crew arrived on the morning they were scheduled. All were friendly and worked diligently to complete the job in a couple of hours. While cleaning up they even cleared my sidewalk of grass clippings that I had left there after mowing my lawn, a mess they didn't make. My yard looks much better now that the stumps are gone and I'm happy that I don't have to mow around them anymore. If you have trees or stumps that need to be removed I would recommend giving Hayward Tree Service a call.

I had Hayward remove a pain in the rear pine tree yesterday as we are going to be building over that area shortly. Their price was very competitive but it was their communication that blew everyone else away. They were really on top of it from my initial inquiry, and then communicated when someone would be there and got me a quick estimate. Once I approved them for the removal, they sent over the necessary insurance paperwork. They called the day before the job to let me know when they would be there. The crew arrived right on time and was professional the entire way. They delivered 100% of what they said in their estimate and the site was so clean you would never know they were there. My only regret is not taking the tree down sooner.

I just moved to Arizona from Denver and I needed my 1bedroom storage unit moved out. With a flat rate, and about 30% less than the next competitor, Essence Az is most definitely the move to take and go with:) they had it all packed up in the truck in less than 40 minutes, and unloaded into the house all under 3 hours start to finish. Bryan gave me a quote, but then the job ended up being quite a bit bigger than what he quoted and yet he never complained, nor tried to raise the price on me. And the entire crew worked hard until everything was packed on the one end and then everything unloaded on the other. Bryan's communication was excellent throughout the move. Alicia and Bryan are amazing! My girlfriend and I each had a two bedroom apartment at different locations and moving to a one bedroom in San Diego.

They were so responsive, friendly and affordable! I've moved more to numerous cities in numerous states and they were the best movers I've ever had!
