The first time I used Sergio's they did a wonderful job. They showed up with 5 people and were done in 40 minutes ($90 an hour @ 40 minutes = $60). I have absolutely nothing bad to say about that visit.
The next time I called them, they no showed, no showed on the reschedule, randomly showed up another time which we were not home then showed up on time. They showed up with 3 people and Sergio himself (even though he stated he was not there) was hiding around the corner of the house on the phone taking calls pretending to be working. He was the third guy and did no work. However, he did do the following:
1) Extremely rude to my wife. When he asked her for payment, she pointed out they did almost no work with the bushes in the backyard. He mumbled/cussed under his breath at her and proceeded to go into the backyard and only cut the front of the bush, leaving everything else a mess.
2) Sergio himself was on the phone when I called and spoke to me, however he told me he was not at the property he was at the office. They left one guy there for an hour and then Sergio and one other popped up later. However, they charged us for the full utilization of the crew (Sergio plus the missing person and the guy who they left there). My wife informed me of this via phone while they were onsite.
3) They scratched my car and blew tons of dirt and rocks on it. They played stupid when I called and complained.
4) I was out of town when they showed up so it makes sense why they did an awful job and decided to slack since my wife was the one home. She was not in a position to be confrontational with a rude landscaper seeing as how she has a newborn to watch over while talking to this guy.
5) No refund was offered.
6) Denial of any responsibility or fault with the engagement.
7) Claimed they rendered all services as expected even though the pictures of my yard and plants demonstrate otherwise.
Do yourself a favor, do not call this company. There are plenty of honest working landscapers who do consistent work and do not screw over their customers. Based on the volume of other negative reviews referencing dishonest work and fraud, it looks like this is their standard mode of operation.
