I've been slowly renovating my home, making it a little less 1970s inside. AJ Home Improvements did a combo of framing, insulating, and drywalling an interior brick wall, and removing some old carpet and laminate flooring to lay down a new tile floor. They weren't my cheapest bid for the work, but I chose them because of Jorge's response time & demeanor when providing the quote and their good reviews online. I wasn't disappointed. Jorge & Armando did a great job with the craft work, and they were professional and incredibly conscientious during the 5-day project. I will definitely hire them again for future projects (if they aren't already sick of my steep driveway and old house that has no straight edges, haha!).

Do I have to choose one word to describe? If so then I can't. There are too many positive adjectives to describe this company:
Honest, detail oriented, perfectionism, respectful, superb, wonderful, amazing - Overall 10 STARS.
Our journey began when we went to bid for the kitchen remodel - new cabinets, counter tops, kitchen sink, faucet, back splash and island on wheels. We had received several quotes, all outside of our budget. After emailing everyone that message, Jim was the only one who replied back and said let's see what we can do to get you within budget. What???? WOW!!!!!! What company does that? THIS ONE DOES!!!
After MULTIPLE back and forths with quotes questions and renderings we were able to proceed WITHIN BUDGET.
Of course we were told the cabinets would be ordered and ready by the time the project started. I will be honest and say I've heard that in the past from friends who have had their kitchens remodeled and it didn't happen. But MY OH MY OUR CABINETS WERE IN THE GARAGE DAY 3 OF THE PROJECT!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! WOW WEE!!!!!!!!!
James was our guy - he demo'd and installed the kitchen by himself. He is a WORK HORSE. He never stopped except for lunch. He was respectful - told us when he was going to lunch, had ear phones on so we didn't hear music (we were both working from home at this point). Came when he said he would and cleaned up before he left.
Countertops were installed EARLIER than expected.
Eric who did our backsplash was just as amazing as James. I was planning on using a product that would separate the tiles but when installed on the first wall it just didn't work. Instead of just installing because the customer said so, he stopped to explain the problem and the solution. He also suggested tiny details that I myself never thought of and his suggestions and install were SPOT on. LOVE OUR BACKSPLASH!!
OH Did I mention from start to FINISH - 3 and a half weeks!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!! Now mind you ours was a small remodel but golly gee I was expecting 6 plus weeks.
I honestly cannot say enough about this company and the employees. I read ALL the reviews and checked their license (IMPERATIVE when hiring a contractor). EVERY review of Jim and Regal is SPOT on.
Can't wait to have them come back and remodel our master bath. There is NOONE else I would trust but them.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

This is a family owned business. They are very friendly, helpful and professional. Their showroom has lots of tiles and flooring to look through. They did a great draw up of a bathroom remodel for us. They did not pressure us to go outside of our budget. They were honest.

I came to Mark with a handful of ideas and a dream to make my place my sanctuary. He and his team delivered so much more. He was so amazing to work with and went above and beyond through the entire process. I would recommend him to anyone looking to upgrade their home. He answered all of questions, was always available and kept me up to date on the progress of my project every step of the way. He found ways to cut costs when needed while still giving me exactly what I wanted. I can't thank them enough!

We needed a partial bath remodel and went to the home show looking for help. We found three companies and seriously compared them. Colton came to our home to assess the job and prepare a quote. He wrote up a quote that was higher than the others, but we decided to go with them because the product they offered through their show room was nicer in quality than the others.
This company does not employ in-house construction workers. They sub-contract all the work. That explains the higher cost. However, we were very happy with the work. Colton was our salesman, Jaram coordinated the construction workers. He gave us a timetable that worked for us and we were happy with the way the timing worked out.
We needed the garden bathtub removed, a glass brick window reduced in size by half and a walk-in shower built to replace the tub.
The contractors who came to our home were very professional and efficient. We were most impressed with Johnny, who did the tile work. There were 2 mistakes: first, in how the tile was drilled for the plumbing; second it became apparent that the dye in the tiles was not consistent within the box of tile. This showed up after the light in the room changed and tile was set. There were 5 tiles that didn't match the others. Johnny came right out and fixed the problem. Luckily we had extra tiles for him to work with and he was able to save us from having to buy another box of tile.
When you are not well-versed with the construction business in our area, it is virtually impossible to find people to contract to do work. When the job involved requires different specialties such as construction, plumbing, and tiling it is risky for the homeowner to hire one contractor to do all the jobs. Without word-of-mouth recommendations, I became overwhelmed with my search. It was expensive to hire Rise Above for our job, but we are happy with the results and I am thankful they supplied us with high quality workmen who did a great job!

Five years ago we had MK remodeling come out and do our shower which was leaking. We ended up having them redo the floors the lighting and the walls (from wallpaper to texture and paint). So when we decided to update all 2 1/2 of our bathrooms this spring, we used them again after getting an estimate from at least one other company. I'm impressed with Mike Gillis, Kristin Gillis, and James Gillis. Their estimate process and billing is very professional. Over a couple of days, the various crews who were very professional, did great work on each job, and cleaned up after themselves beautifully. They went above and beyond what was required more than once, bless their hearts! I goofed up a couple of things and they worked with me on getting it right. Because the beginning of the job coincided with my husband's total knee replacement, there were at least three days where we weren't home but the work went on with no problems! This is a company you can trust and use over the years for many things.

Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. Ethical, personable and genuinely interested in our satisfaction. True professionals with good hearts.
They rebuilt our flood damaged home and performed many remodeling upgrades at the same time. They offered sensible solutions and worked around our busy schedules. Calls were returned promptly and questions answered always.
All of their subcontractors were people they had worked with for many years and were clean-cut, articulate craftsmen. They cleaned up after every days work and kept us up to date on progress. When we made changes along the way, they took it in stride and offered options to best achieve our goals.
Our home was built in 1959 and had unique lath and plaster drywall. The materials are no longer available, but in order to retain the original quality of the home, they found a method that was similar enough to look the same and have the same sound when I did the knock test.
They did many extras, like painting the front sidewalk-it just didn't look right all chipped up and made a new side gate as well- at no added charge- because it was the right thing to do. They understood what we were trying to do- bring the house back to original quality and remodel it for sale.
To give you an idea of what kind of guys thy are, on the weekends, they volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and use their skills to built homes for the disadvantaged in the Valley. Good souls.
Jeff navigated us through a maze of options to get our electric upgraded without kicking us into a higher permit level that would have resulted in us having to lower windows for egress- at an estimated $26k. Instead, they offered legal, ethical alternatives that got the goals achieved within our budget. They know the ins and outs of the business and use it to YOUR advantage. True professionals.
I'm an engineer, so I'm a detail person by nature, and BHB left no details missed. Their quality is top notch as well, and they came in below our insurance estimate.
I highly recommend them for jobs big and small. Good people.

We did a full remodel on our house. The original contractor kind of bailed on us and didn't finish some of the work. We called several companies to finish the job for us. Zach and Terrell finished our project in a matter of days. They came out and gave us an estimate and we were fortunate they could fit us in between jobs.
They installed a custom built in electric fireplace with designer touches. The work turned out amazing. In the past year we've probably had over 50 different companies in our house from plumbers to contractors to painters, etc. Peters Family Construction would get our #1 ranking out of all of them.

I called Solid Home Renovation for the second time to have my addition master bathroom remodeled. Danny and team are the best and never disappoint. They are professional and efficient. The work is stunning. Every day they left they would clean up the area and put tools away. Danny provided his ideas and advise which helped put the entire idea into reality. Even when the glass company came they complimented how squared and even the work was which made installing the glass nice and easy. Danny and team do amazing work every time. Next up will be my entire kitchen!

We needed our master bathroom shower remodeled to accommodate a wheelchair user. After hearing about all the problems people encountered on bad jobs we were paranoid about choosing a contractor. We decided to go with Independence because they specialized in handicapped remodeling. We met with Mike to go over our project, got a quote, and set a start date. His crew arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. When a few project hitches came up (which they almost always do) they were resolved to our complete satisfaction.
Independence charged a fair price, honored their quote, started on time, did an excellent job, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. What more could a customer ask for? I would recommend them without hesitation.

Fabulous Experience! I found myself needing to replace my bathtub and tiled shower surround. I did my due diligence in researching replacement vs a liner. I contacted Home Depot and their contractor is Re-Bath. Aaron, the Design Consultant was helpful and not at all pushy. I must admit, I choked just a little at wrapping my head around what it would cost. My demo team/installers, Jesse and Drew were amazing while they worked in my home for two days. When I saw the amount of work they did; tearing that enclosure down to the studs, all the plumbing, then the re-build, I felt very justified in the money I spent! Drew & Jesse left my floors cleaner than they found them, that's for sure. I love my new tub & shower! If I ever again need to re-model a bathroom or kitchen I will absolutely call Re-Bath!

They didn't seem to want to do business with me. Had them come out for an estimate to remodel my condo's small-ish bathroom.
- They wouldn't give an estimate (not even a range) on the spot claiming to need more info on the building from property management and association docs first. The designer noted they charge somewhat of a premium for their professionalism and the seamlessness of all work done by Re-Bath employees.
- I followed up with the designer 10 days later asking for the status of the estimate and also selecting final fixtures to include in the price
- 3 days later, the designer said he was waiting on information from production to provide the estimate. I replied thank you for the update.
- 3 days later, I checked in for a further update, with a reply received back that they were waiting on a list of requirements they needed to receive from my property manager in order to provide the estimate. They asked if I could push the property manager to get back to Re-Bath.
- Not knowing if Re-Bath had just sent that info request, I waited a few days, heard nothing, so asked the designer to provide me the name of the person and date Re-Bath contacted them so I could try to follow up.
- Still radio silence 15 days later.
I probably could have justified paying some premium for their supposed professionalism and seamlessness, but it does not exist. Total waste of a month and a half, and back to square one for my project.

I had a wonderful experience with Trinity Home Center! I couldn't believe how beautiful this kitchen turned out, especially since I had done business with them completely online! Yes, you read that correctly. I was not impressed with the cabinet businesses in Cleveland, OH. A friend recommended Trinity, and although I was skeptical at first I decided to give it a try - I had nothing to lose. All it took was a couple of video sessions - Anthony requested to see the entire kitchen and asked for several measurements. He then emailed me with a few different designs and made some recommendations. I placed my order and had it shipped to Cleveland where I had a local installer hang the cabinets. The installer was blown away by how well everything fit. Anthony was absolutely wonderful to deal with throughout the entire process. He was very patient with me and immediately accommodated many requests to change the design. I can't emphasize how much you will love your kitchen after doing business with Trinity!!
