I had an issue with a string of kitchen outlets not being GFCI complaint right before an appraisal of the house. I called around and was either forwarded to email or told they sent 2 man teams to each job at $75 an hour for each person. I called a local Electrical supply company and asked if they could give me the name of an electrician who was trustworthy and wouldn't charge me 150 an hour. He didn't hesitate and he gave me the name of Mr Armstrong and his number. I called before his business hours and left a voicemail. He called me back right away and asked me if the next day by 10 am was ok. Mr Armstrong arrived 10 minutes early and he was able to quickly convert the outlets over, even though he was limited by the width of the space behind the drywall. He ended up being able to limit the amount of time and materials and delivered exactly what I needed. I will not hesitate to call him for any of my future electrical needs.

We needed our hot water tank repaired as we have a tankless gas hot water heater that no longer produced hot water. This company established the problem the next day. They contacted the manufacturer and got the parts replaced under warranty. Their repairman, Joel, was a very personable and knowledgeable person that repaired our unit and thoroughly explained everything to us. They got everything done within the week. WOW.

We hired a contractor to come help us build a new laundry room addition. Unfortunately, they messed up big time and allowed water to flood into our kitchen below. This caused our entire kitchen ceiling to collapse. Needless to say, they were fired. We hired a second contractor to come in and put up the drywall on the ceiling and in the new laundry room. Said second contractor realized they were in above their head so they called in ToppBuilt. ToppBuilt came into our home and got the job done quickly and efficiently. They were very respectful and we were so thankful for the quick response.

I called two electricians to come take a look at a dimmer switch problem I was having. No call back for weeks. I finally used Yelp to find Tony and he was at my house the same day. Tony and his son were great and affordable. Tony is a hard working man and very informative. He came at 7pm and fixed my problem. I will defiantly use Five Star again. Avoid the 'big box' electricians and use Tony. Family owned and affordable!

It's hard to find a good electrician, but Johnathon Brown Electric is so great, I'm already trying to find more lighting projects.
After 12 years of tolerating the fluorescent light in the kitchen, the fella and I finally decided it was time to enter the 21st century. I emailed Johnathon Brown Electric to get a quote on putting in recessed lights along with pendants over the kitchen counter. They emailed me back within an hour and had an electrician out later that same day - a Friday, no less - for a quote.
Ryan was really great at walking us through everything we wanted, what it would take to do it, how long it would take, and how much it would all cost. I asked a million questions, and he had to answer me like I know nothing about lights and wiring... because I don't. But he was so patient! He was able to give us a quote when he came out, and we got on the schedule within a couple of weeks. Each time he came out, we got an emailed schedule reminder along with a call when he was on his way.
The job itself couldn't have gone better. The lights look amazing, and Ryan cleaned up everything perfectly after he was done. The cost was exactly what he quoted us, and you definitely get what you pay for.

Bill Ambrose is fantastic! He works very hard and communicates very well in person, by phone and text. He is courteous and should put you at ease quickly about any job you have. I was so pleased to call this guy first after a trusted recommendation from someone else. I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I am so impressed. Thanks Bill. You are awesome! Now can you recommend a good plumber, pool guy, and roofer? Lol

Ronnie was great to work with. Had great prices and very knowledgeable and efficient. We would use them again.

Shawn and his team were ok to work with initially, but as time went on the quality of the work deteriorated and he was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. We had a dispute about the terms of our agreement (I admit largely because I didn't realize the terms of the new contract had changed from a previous agreement), however, because of that dispute Sphysicallyhawn and his guys resorted to cursing me including racial slurs (**tch *ss nword), threatening to physically assault me and then abandoning work which was incomplete -and- which I had already paid for($3000).
As far as the work itself was concerned: the fit and finish were sub-standard, every outlet was deformed (one corner bulging out of the wall) (one was put in upside down [switch up was off], one was wired to an overhead light (the outlet doesn't work unless the light is on). When I asked Shawn to correct the deficiencies he refused saying if I wanted him to make something look good, I could forget it. To his credit: earlier on...one of the large windows they installed leaked four or five days after it was installed. I called him, sent him a video of the window leaking and he came out the next morning and caulked it and blamed one of his employees for being derelict. The roof they installed: one corner of it was lifting a week after they left. I did send him a picture (included) of the substandard work.
To his credit: he offered to come and look at it. I ignored the offer based on his track record, previous approach, and lack of work quality. True to form, he resorted to threatening me he would report me to code enforcement, calling me a **tch, etc. (I have the text messages). The final dispute: I contracted with him to move a window and install a door where the window had been. He quoted me, and we agreed on a price ($3500) and I paid him ($7000-- window and a small deck). Previously, the terms of the agreement had been 100% for materials and 50% for labor upfront.
During the window installation, one of his employees asked me for the money ($275) that he spent on materials. I was surprised and told him that I had paid for all the materials up front but I would speak to Shawn about it. Before I had the chance to speak to him about it he sent me several text messages demanding that I pay the $275... I paid for it! However, as I reflected on it that evening I decided that I was fed up with all the drama and decided to cancel the remaining portion of the contract the next day.
Because I canceled the remaining work the next morning: Shawn told them to leave the window and door unfinished (pictures included). When I reminded him that I had already paid for the job, he said that I had paid him to install the door and window/not to finish it.Since I was canceling the rest of the project, I should hire a finish carpenter.
I was cursed by Shawn and his employee and verbally threatened by one of his employees (over $50 he said he had spent on materials that morning). At no time did I dispute the $50, and in fact said I would send the money by Zelle in the next couple of minutes. The situation culminated in loud cursing by Shawn and his employee and in fact, the employee rushed toward me Zelleas if he intended to assault me. Among the verbal assaults was Shawn accusing me of being a fool who served in the military of a country that had enslaved me, and on and on. I repeatedly asked them to please stop cursing, to lower their voices, and finally to please leave.
Not ten minutes later, he called me...apologizing for his employee and expressing a willingness to complete the part of the project that I had canceled. etc. etc. I said I would think about it (largely because he was holding $3500 of my money). Shortly afterward he returned $600. I firmly believe he did so, in an attempt to show something (goodwill?) that would encourage me to allow them to finish the project.
Of course, I declined to spend another penny with his company. In fact, I'm currently waiting for a reputable roofing company to look at the roof. With what I have seen from the work thus far, I'm preparing myself that the roof might have to be completely ripped off and replaced.
Everything written here is the absolute god's honest truth. It took a couple of months to process this regretful episode and to get my window sub-standard, and the hole that Shawn left in the side of my house fixed. When I looked at his company's reviews again to understand what I had missed in reviewing the company. I was shocked to see that he had illegally posted pictures of both -me and my house- on Yelp without my permission or a release.
Because I found his company through a Yelp review initially, I wanted to return to Yelp to share my frank and completely honest personal experience.
Finally Caveat Emptor.

Bobby from LiveWire Electrical came out to help us after me calling him on a Saturday. He was able to work us in quickly. We help out an elderly and it was for her. She had a blown outlet which caused the Window AC unit to not work during the hot August summer. Bobby was prompt, courteous, professional, and his work was exceptional. We appreciate him so much and will only be calling him for all of our needs in the future! Thank you again from the bottom our our hearts!!!

Gianni Electric was so friendly. Fast and friendly response. He showed up wearing his mask, a lot of people don't. Walked us through what was wrong and was able to resolve our issue immediately. We have an electrical project in the future Gianni Electric will be my only call for help. Thank you guys for being available when we needed it!

Chad did a fantastic job of fixing a patio door that was very difficult to open. He responded to texts and emails promptly, and showed up on time for the job. It was a pleasure doing business with him. Chad will be the first person I call for any future home jobs.

I do not recommend this business. They tried to inflate my bill by recommending an expensive solution for a routine repair. They told me a replacement part I needed was totally impossible to find and the best fix would be a much more involved workaround, but I was able to find the part myself without too much trouble and someone else handled the repair for a fraction of the cost. I can't tell if they were unethical or just incompetent, I just know I would never trust these people to do anything.

Mr. Lawson and his son Lorenzo were first-class electricians and got me set up with a new service both inside and out. Affordable, professional, and he hooked me up within a week of contacting him. Super quick and excellent service you can trust. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a quality electrician at an excellent price.

Called these guys for electrical hook up for hot tub. The technician that showed up was very professional and honest. It was decided that there was no need for an electrician. However the lady on the phone never stated there was a dispatch fee. I found out when i walked the tech back to his truck and he told me. I advised that there was no disclosure of such fee and was under the impression that the estimate wasfree. But because of him saving me a boat load of money on an installation that I no longer needed I decided not to fight the fee. I paid the 60 dollars and saved 900 dollars so it was a win win for both parties. I just want to make people aware that they charge a 59 dollar dispatch fee so be aware when you want these guys to estimate work for you, and I guess if they get hired for the work they credit it through the price of the job which makes the estimate free.
I will definately return to them if i need other work done. Honesty is the best policy.

Don't do business with this company. Once a defective light was installed for $225. They refused to take it down for less than $185. Puts my cost at over $1000 for the light and installation. Do not use this company under any circumstances. If I could give 0 stars I would. No sir the light was not working well when your technicians were there, and when I needed it taken down you refused to do anything but charge me an additional $185 to have it removed. No offer from you other than full price. No worries though I tripped the breakers and took it down by myself in 5-10 minutes. It was really hard. I can understand the $185 price tag when an unskilled person such as myself can do it in 5-10 minutes. Thank you so much and I will assure no one I know and do business will ever use your service. Your a real gem. Good job.
