Geez, I am actually really surprised about the low rating for these guys. I've had them work on two separate projects for me, and both were turned around quickly and are holding up. Perhaps they've made some changes for the better in the past couple years.

A few years ago I had them repair an electrical issue in our garage. It was covered under a warranty for our home, but I remember the pricing being reasonable, and we haven't had any further issues with the work they've done.

About a week or so ago our AC stopped working. We called around to a lot of the CBUS big names (Some kind of *cough*Atlas manservant named company *cough*, but the quotes we received were pretty outrageous around $10k for a furnace/AC replacement.

I have to tell you, I was absolutely freakin' floored at the amazing service I got from Ken who came over to review and provide an estimate. He was extremely friendly, which started shooting off red flags that this was going to be majorly expensive. LOL But in fact they were about 3k lower than a competitor.

Another plus is that Ken noticed a smell of gas from our 40 year old furnace, and actually conducted some leak tests for FREE as a courtesy and shared his concerns. The last company/competitor I had come in started threatening to red tag my furnace without providing tests or troubleshooting... so who do you think did the better service to me?

Ken really went above and beyond in taking care of the customer. He even helped review an insurance policy I had that covered both the issues with the AC and the Furnace.

The day of installation was a full day, but both service techs they sent out were extremely professional, wore masks and gloves while they worked (Covid-19 precautions) and got the job completed on schedule.

KMA also helped with securing financing, and had a lot of options available. You can't say that for some of the TV commercial companies out there who are typically tied to a single financial institution.

I would gladly give KMA my business again if any needs arise in the future. I have peace of mind with a new AC and furnace and my pocket book only screamed... just a little bit.

Our generator was installed in August 2022.  March 25, 2023 high winds. Power out and generator failed. Still not corrected after one week of daily phone calls and one million excuses. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I'd give zero stars if possible.

I will NEVER recommend KMA as they are scam artists!

Technician Roberto Del Pinal was out to diagnose our slow AC yesterday. He recommended a full replacement of both furnace and AC, which was red flag number 1. AC wouldn't not work immediately after their visit. I called and their immediate response was well if it isn't covered by warranty, then you'll have to pay..... I didn't even ask about payment, I just wanted it fixed. Red flag #2.

Turns out, he left a wire disconnected to the capacitor. The wire is connected in such a way that it isn't easily disconnected, could have fallen off or been bumped off. He intentionally left it disconnected while they were quoting a $10k-$15k system.... Do NOT hire them, they will try to scam you!!

I contacted them based on finding them via Google.... And discovered they were 24hr! This is amazing! Great price as well considering the tech came around 9pm and was here until almost 10pm! We are a foster family and the tech was generally helpful and wanting to get things taken care of for our children, and didn't seem to just blow us off! He had great attention to detail not only with the job but even noticed that our son wasn't in the living room anymore... the guy treated us like we were his friends for years!!!! We're getting an electrician out the next day and the tech said he lit is as a priority and will even mention us to dispatch when he gets in the office early in the morning! I can not say enough good things about this company!!!!! THANK YOU x 1 million!

I'm not exactly seeing what extra precautions you put in place during these unprecedented times. Every person we have had come do service for us since COVID19 began has worn a mask. We have had our shower doors replaced, our house cleaners, a plumber, and our carpets cleaned. Your guy mocked wearing a mask and said he refuses to shop at Communist Menards because they make you wear a mask. He was nice, but when you are entering someone's home during a pandemic, you wear a mask.
And $1,021 to fix a ballast and install a fan. I will get a second opinion. Granted the price wasn't his fault....

I did not request any service from KMA but they blow up my phone everyday. I called their office twice. Told their workers who called me 6 times that I was not their customer. I GOT ANOTHER MESSAGE TODAY! WTF?!?!?!?

If you are a woman calling this company for electrical work, do not be surprised at misogynistic questions you get asked.  If their technicians didn't do such quality work, I would look elsewhere for service.  Their customer service leaves much to be desired.  Yes, customer service person, I am a woman.  No, I don't need a male here to understand the complicated electrical work to be done.  Yes, I am allowed to own a property solely in my name.  KMA management REALLY needs to address how they speak to women when we call to get service.

Jonathan is such a great technician!
So respectful and informative!
I am happy he came back to us!!
It is nice to know that some companies still care about the customer

I'm very thankful we called KMA for our sudden electrician needs! Within 2 hours of contacting them, our technician, Dustin, arrived ready to diagnose and fix our problem. He worked non-stop to make sure everything was correct and safe. He went above and beyond my expectations. While he was short one part (not a main one) and will be back next week to put on the finishing touches, I'm very happy with his work, attitude, and attention to detail. Thanks KMA!!

Pricing was ludicrously high -- they wanted to charge me almost $600 for what they said would be 65' of wire for a 35-40 foot run.  Customer service was seriously lacking, except in the sales department.  Man, they really wanted to make the sale!  They just didn't want to provide reasonable, professional services.

I can see that there are some less than stellar reviews on this company, but let's be honest, every company has its challenges. Some I'm sure are somewhat accurate, and some are from people with buyers remorse. No one forces you to enter a contract for these services, am I right?  Anyway, we had a very good experience. The technician was knowledgeable, the office staff was friendly, and I was willing to pay a bit more to know that I had a guarantee from an established company. I've hired from Craigslist and other places before. That can be pretty sketchy, especially when you are dealing with non licensed one man operations working from the back of their pickup truck. In the end, you get what you pay for, is the way I see it.

Took terrible advantage of retired person whose electric (simple repair) took an hour and small part. Wouldn't explain the pricing (labor vs materials) to her and knew that she was cold .  Since when do electricians get $600 an hour??  Oh when it's cold and you can take advantage of an older person,  I see.  Shame on you-- don't use them!

Do not call KMA. They are extremely over priced. We had a lightening strike so yes it would be a claim against our homeowners insurance but this quote is beyond ridiculous.  The technician was supposed to show up between 8 - 9. He arrives at 9:20 and proceeds to diagnose all our problems. We had already bought a new breaker and removed two outlets where the lightening had entered the home. When he was done diagnosing our issues (removed all the outlets in the living room) his estimate was $15,749 broke down as follows: $8355 to Megger test 32 circuits, $1110 to restore a 200 amp and 100 amp power panels, $1,150 to replace the hot water tank (the breaker was tripped but it was and still works fine) $5,134 whole house redevice (151 devices).
Our insurance adjuster ordered out a forensics electrical Engineer and an electrician to get a second opinion. The Engineer megger tested every outlet in my home including the garage and couldn't find any issues.  The electrician put all the outlets back that KMA had removed and TA DA we had power in the room.  These two gentlemen were blown away by the KMA quote.  Not only was the work not needed it is over priced. I would love to take a picture of my estimate to attach to this review. In the end KMA charged $952 for coming out and tearing apart my living room and giving me this expensive quote for work that did not need done. Stay away people - the prices are crazy high and there is a good chance they are doing work that doesn't need done. Someone has to pay for all that advertising and it isn't going to be me.

Called a week in advance, set an appointment for between 8-10am. Called at 935am , and was told they didn't know when the next tech  would be available to come. They even answer the phone with, how can I make you smile?

Would that make you smile?

An hour later (1045) I am on my way to Columbus and receive a call saying a tech is headed to my home. I finished my appointment in Columbus and came back to my house ( I live in lancaster), he beat me to the house by 15 minutes. Now it's 11:45.

Their tech is knowledgeable and friendly, we discuss what needs done. He takes an half hour or so to write up the estimate.

I don't have a problem, with the way that he does things. I do have a problem with the fact
They tell you it's a free estimate on the phone.

You get an estimate, tell them that you can't afford it, then they tell you it's a $59 dispatch fee. THAT'S BULLSHIT. They should tell you there is a charge up front. I wouldn't have them come to my house. If I have to pay for an estimate. There are other people around that can come and give you a free estimate.

Look elsewhere.... They are also extremely high priced!

Have had KMA out twice now for estimates and both times have turned them away due to excessive pricing.  Quoted me more than double what other companies charged.

The work is fine, apparently, but the fees pray on people not aware of legitimate costs.

Called these guys for electrical hook up for hot tub. The technician that showed up was very professional and honest. It was decided that there was no need for an electrician. However the lady on the phone never stated there was a dispatch fee. I found out when i walked the tech back to his truck and he told me. I advised that there was no disclosure of such fee and was under the impression that the estimate wasfree.  But because of him saving me a boat load of money on an installation that I no longer needed I decided not to fight the fee. I paid the 60 dollars and saved 900 dollars so it was a win win for both parties.  I just want to make people aware that they charge a 59 dollar dispatch fee so be aware when you want these guys to estimate work for you,  and I guess if they get hired for the work they credit it through the price of the job which makes the estimate free.

I will definately return to them if i need other work done. Honesty is the best policy.

07/16/21--So far everything in my mini split installation and panel service are going well. The mini split is a little loud when it kicks on but I was able to secure the cover a little better to reduce vibration. I had them run a line to the pond for an aerator I'm going to install. They hit my sewer line with the trench digger and broke it, but got someone out that day to fix it. The sewer line wasn't at code depth, but you can see where it exits into grade from the basement where the line goes out so I'm not sure how I feel about that explanation. The trench they dug wasn't backfilled properly so now I have a bunch of spots after it rained where the ditch has sunk in. Other parts where the dirt wasn't leveled. Looks like instead of tamping and packing it, they just drove over it with the ditch witch. They didn't put insulation back in from having to remove it to run the line inside the home. I would have contacted them to give them another chance to remedy all these things, but I'm pretty exhausted with having to contact them about anything and I shouldn't have to for these things. They said they'd do a run through of everything as part of a quality control for the services and they never made good on scheduling that either. For the expense of the whole thing and the experience, I'm not sure I'd use them again, but there just aren't a whole lot of other options in my area. Everything seems to work and the interactions with them onsite were good, but not very impressed with the experience or quality or cleanup or follow-up.

Only gave one because I couldn't give a zero.  Had a brand new heat pump installed by them last summer.  Installation guys were nice guys.  They had no clue how to wire my thermostat after installing the out side unit which was a bit concerning.  After a few days the blower would run but the outside until would not kick on.  It took 2 separate visits to fit that issue properly.  After this was corrected it never cooled or heated the house to the temp we set it.  Say we had it at 73 it wouldn't get below 77.  Rolling into our 2nd summer with the unit. We have an older house so I spent $5000 on foam and blown insulation for my walls and attic.   Same issue but even hotter.  Have another service call tomo to see of they can fix it again.

This is the only way I know to let people know to avoid this unscrupulous company.  Actual work involved was removing cover from meter box, removing screws from back, straightening meter box and pole putting in new screws, and attaching a couple of cheap brackets to the house. Actual work done took less than 30 minutes. Mitchell, the technician talking in an attempt to justify the cost took around an hour tops. Cost was $660.  I imagined Mitchell was driving away laughing and saying SUCKER!! There is a reason the company can respond to your call quickly and come out as I'm sure they have a bad reputation.

They estimated a Job to take 4 days and they took over 2 months.  Our panel was wired wrong and labeled wrong.  We have outside light that don't work since they rewired the house.  They have refused to do any warranty work.

Do not ever use this company.

Prompt service. Very expensive for what they did. Called with my concerns.  I wanted a more detailed bill on the parts and labor. They said it was the price I paid.  Would not tell me how they came to that total. Fixed the problem but probably won't call them again.

Reviews are correct. Prices way higher than other companies.  A guy came to give me an estimate for a vacant rental without electric that needed a 100 amp meter can replacement, but then he looked at my pushmatic electric panel and said it probably won't pass. When I asked how much it would cost to replace, he said he'd just did one for $4,000. I told him I couldn't afford that and he left and said fine leave it vacant then.  Apparently he didn't want the job. Got the meter can and panel replaced for $1350.

I would not use this company. Their prices for service are much higher than others. Also their free estimate is NOT free at all charged me $59.00 because the receptionist messed up and sent the wrong driver. It has been 2 weeks since they came out and they have yet to resolve the issue.

KMA agreed to install 3 additional lights to my pond fountain, with 3 existing lights. Not only did the 1st contractor break the original lights, necessitating buying 3 more lights, my pump, which was previously working suddenly froze up, requiring me ordering $650.00 in new pumps. Then new tire needed trenched. And my fountain was out of the water for 7 weeks, trying to get 3 new lights installed. I paid for lights to replace original lights, new pumps ($650), AND they charged me $1500.. TO ADD 3 lights into my working fountain!!!
7 weeks for 3 our project .Buyers beware!!!!!!!

Called for a safety check for a loan on a property and to have house re grounded. They dispatched an electrician who wrote a 7000 estimate. Attempted to high pressure sell me on a payment plan. I promptly showed him the door and was charged 60$ for my free estimate. Had the job done by some other guy in the phonebook for 200 bucks. 3 years later they still have me on their call and mail lists. Looks like this company most likely preys on the elderly and ignorant to pay the bills. Stay away from this one.

My window a/c kept tripping my breaker.  Called them to look at it.  Guy came and said we needed a new breaker box and it would cost $3,564.  My husband and I are on social security and not made of money. told him no thanks. Had him replace a wall outlet he charged$127 minus a $35 credit for using their telephone ad.  Called another electrician who promptly told my husband that there was nothing wrong with the box that my 20 year old window a/c was tripping the breaker.  He gave me an estimate of $280 to put my new a/c on a dedicated breaker.  My new a/c cost me $301 so that plus the $280 is $581 no were near the $3,564 KMA gave us.  KMA saw an elderly man in a hot room and dollar signs started to dance in his head.  Wonder how he slept that night.
