They came out and refinished my patio. Whiten a couple of hours it rain I called and they came back out and refinished it again and it looks great very clean and all workers were very nice Price was good even got a little extra for being a veteran

Contractors were supposed to come out b/t 7-11am.  I called the office and was told they should be there b/t 10 and 2pm.  They didn't show up until 3:30 with only two hours of daylight left.  They scraped loose Coolteck from the patio and the pool deck then proceeded to put the new material on.  They were able to do the entire deck but not the patio.  They said I'd have to call scheduling to get them back out to finish the job.

I called the office to schedule the completion of the job.  I was told I'd get a call back from Scheduling on the Thursday or Friday (Jan 5,6).  I didn't receive a call back.

On the following Monday, I called the office again and told them I had not heard from Scheduling.  I was told I would get a call from Scheduling regarding finishing the job.

I received a call from Scheduling and they said they could come out Jan 19th.  I request that they come out this week as were leaving on the 15th and all of our patio things including plants were out on the lawn exposed to the elements.  They said they couldn't do it and we agreed they would come out on the 20th, after we returned.

My husband discovered that there was material on the bottom of the pool.  He first noticed it on the steps but we could see it in the deep end as well.  He attempted to brush it off but it wouldn't come off.  He even tried to take some off with a screw driver but it didn't come off.  It is obvious that this material is the new material that was applied to our deck.  It is the same taupe color as the decking.  I called the office and left a message about this at 1:30pm.  Received a call back from Sharp Contracting.  They said they would take care of the debris by power washing it when they come out on the 20th   There's some in the deep end of the pool as well.

We lost several plants that we'd taken off of the patio during the freeze.  Contractors came out (same team).  They attempted to power wash the material off of the pool steps and lower areas but material remains in the shallow and deeper areas.  They stained the deck and patio.  Completely sub-par job.  The edges of the deck and patio were not stained but were only covered with drip marks.   My stucco on the back side of the pool was discolored with the stain as well.  The stepping stones on the side of the house had boot print stain marks on them.  The patio was two colors - the patched part was a much lighter color than the rest of the patio.

Called Sharp back with my complaints.  They said I'd get a call back from scheduling within two weeks!

Still have not received a call back from scheduling -just trying to get on the books!  Called Sharp, they said they haven't forgotten about us and that I should be scheduled around the end of the month.  I requested that a different team be sent out as the other team was sloppy and sub-par.  They said that was the only team they had in the area.  If there was a problem after they came, they would put me in touch with the General Manager.

It's hard to believe anyone talks to people like this and are still in business. I cannot imagine having to work for such a tyrant. Alan (he has to be the owner, anyone else would be fired). I wish I could upload the phone conversation that I recorded, my entire team of Realtors' jaws were on the floor (when I let him know the conversation was being recorded, he only got nastier. I will be posting on social media). The 1.5 star rating is spot on and it only is that high because I truly believe that his employees are doing the best that they can.

Bottom line, they ruined my pool pump, broke my drip system, damaged my house and left oil stains in the street and his response after he yelled, scolded, schooled, name called, insulted and blamed me for everything was 'not my problem unless you pay me'.

AVOID THIS CONTRACTOR!!!!

Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever encountered.  Pictures included of the lovely finish on our cement patio which was supposed to have a salt finish.  Some panels are smooth.  Some have what it their attempt at a salt finish, and some have salt dashes as they side-handed threw salt so it made skid marks.  The finish has lines, curves, dents, and uneven areas.  It's just awful.  They also re-did our pool deck which LOOKS beautiful, but two years later, it is crunching, cracking, and has small chunks breaking away from the top surface.  I emailed through their website, asking if I could get a small container of the acrylic paint so I could patch the surface.  No response.  I then sent an email.  I finally got a response, We don't sell our paint.

Getting them to show up on their planned schedule was not possible.  Delay after delay.  And when they jackhammered out the old saltillo tile that was on the patio, they left the big chunks there with no given plan to come back.  We couldn't use the patio, I couldn't let the dogs out, we couldn't access the backyard.  It's sad you have to get pretty nasty before they even respond.

Also, once they put the base surface on the pool deck area, they gave an (unreasonable) amount of time it would need to dry.  It was May/June in Arizona.  Hot and dry.  This surface easily would have been dry in 1-2 days.  They said it would be weeks before they could finish as the surface needed to cure. Of course, those weeks turns into weeks and weeks and weeks.

Alan is the owner.  His daughter answered phones.  She never said, my dad, it was always, the owner is out of town, or whatever excuse.  

Sadly, it seems now I'm in a bind to be able to get the matching acrylic paint product/color so I can touch-up the cracking pool deck.

Months ago, I noticed that a plastic piece that divides the section of pool deck was lifting up.  I photographed it to show how far it was sticking up -- it is a tripping hazard.  I emailed several pictures asking if the could come and fix it -- zero response.  We now have another section that is lifting that I'm certain they will never fix.

This company is pure hassle.

Just awful. Their crew scopes out where they are going to urinate on a customers house and then throughout the day, they thank their customer by p*sing on their home. Never asked the homeowner to use their restroom. Never asked for the key to the pool across the street from the home where there are also restrooms. Nope, just p*asked on their customer's house. Classy! I have posted photos As proof.  

Their drivers are rude. They blocked two driveways of non-customers and were flippant about it saying i can park anywhere I want on a public street. They must have missed the part they drove into a gated community and as soon as you drive into the subdivision, it clearly states private property.

Sharp refinished our Cool deck patio and around our pool a year ago last July. We expressed our disapproval with the quality and they came back again in August. One of the workers was a relative who said the work was good quality for them. We were, are not satisfied with the work done.

Do not use this company people walk away! Every person you speak with is rude and don't let you speak they talk over you, I lost a lot of money with this company please go look at the BBB reviews on this company it's all horrible just horrible..

Contemplating doing business with this company?  Buyer Beware!  They dote on you until you sign on the bottom line and give them your cash.  Good luck getting any reasonable service from them once your job is complete.  I have been working with them for over a year.  It took 11 weeks from contract signing to work performance last year.  Reasonable for the economy these days.  Within a few weeks we realized they put concrete over the hot water drain pipe on our patio.  I sent approximately 12 emails to them between June 14 and December 30.  Some went unanswered, some said they would be calling 'soon', one said 4-6 weeks for scheduling.  After my last email on 12/30 the General Manager, Alan, called me and scheduled a visit.  He visited on January 14 and said someone would call me with a schedule for repair either that day or the following week.  I sent one email since then. It has now been 8  1/2 months since I originally contacted them.  Additionally I have sent approximately 15 emails.  No service date scheduled.  Just be very wary of doing business with Sharp Contractors.  You may be very sorry you gave them your hard earned money in exchange for lack of customer service.

We have contracted with this company 6 mo ago. Since then they have completed 4 days of work!
No one calls back to provide any kind of update, they screen your phone number to hide and the receptionist instead of offering even a feeble apology actually hung up on me!
This company does not care about you as a customer and can bot be trusted with your business. STAY AWAY.

Back before the holidays I contacted Sharp Contracting about updating my faux flagstone on my patio and partially around my pool.  I told the rep that I liked the current finish but it needed some repair work.  He said that Sharp could accomplish what I wanted.  I gave him a deposit and was told that I would be called when they could schedule me.  As it was the holidays I had no problem with waiting.

Two weeks ago two people came to do a power wash to start the job. It seems that the equipment they brought wasn't powerful enough to get the necessary cleaning that needed to be done before the new faux finish could be accomplished.

After a week of not hearing from anyone I called and was told I was on the schedule.  On Saturday last, January 15, I received a call that someone would be out to do the power wash.  They came on January 18, after they finished another crew appeared to start the preping for the work.  On January 19 they came back to complete the work.

I asked several times that I wanted the finish to look like what I had had.  Well they are done and it is NOT ANYTHING LIKE WHAT I WANTED.  In fact  there is NOTHING, that looks like faux flagstone.  What they did was paint two red on some areas and tan on others.  No blending of colors on the individual areas.  THIS JOB IS AWFUL and anyone who uses this company better be prepared for exactly that a poor job.

I even showed the finish I wanted, it was still on the existing patio and walkway.  I didn't take and imagination to see what I wanted.  Some how that just didn't get through to these people.

They gave me a very good quote.  Maybe too good?  I asked if they had product (yes!).  I said I would come down, take a look and give them a deposit.  When I arrived they only had a tiny brick.  Waste of my time.  But looking at reviews here and on the BBB site I think I've dodged a bullet.  I'll keep looking.

This would be zero stars if possible.  Do not waste any of your time (or especially your money) on this place.  Do NOT give them a deposit, no matter what kind of deal they have going on.  They will not execute the contract, and won't return your deposit.  The owners / operators of this company are just bad people.

I contracted with Sharp on 6/10 to do some paver work.  This required a deposit of a few hundred dollars, and I agreed to a 10 - 12 week (August-ish) delay in starting the work to get a 20% discount (they obviously have significant capacity issues).   Sounded fair.  The sales rep was actually on time, detailed, and did a good job of pricing things out (ok, that's worth one star).

Fast forward 17 weeks (!) later.  It's now October, and I've made two attempts  (just this week and over a month ago) to convince them to return my deposit since they have failed to execute their end of the contract.  No dice.  I was treated rudely the first time, I'm expecting the same this time.  Looks like my only options are BBB and Small Claims at this point.   Avoid these shysters at all costs!

We had Sharp Contracting redo our pool deck and patio - they did a stamped concrete overlay and it is absolutely beautiful! The price was reasonable. We had to be rescheduled at the last minute due to rain, but they kept in good communication with us and the job was done promptly on the date we picked to reschedule.

Decking cracking and lifting away from concrete. Luckily we found our paperwork and were still under warranty. My husband called.  They wanted photos, which we provided. If it was my company I would have come out to see the damage first hand. They told my husband they were at least 8 weeks out at getting to us.  Hopefully they won't forget because they never gave us a date--even a tentative date.

Buyers beware, this company is difficult to work with, difficult to get return phone calls, workmanship is not good.  We had them do stamped concrete, there are cracks all over our patio.  The cracks are less than an 1/8 inch therefore they will do nothing.  After a recent rain, we noticed the water follows the cracks, would think this is not good.  The seal coat turns white and speckles when it rains.  The concrete when layed was brought level with doors to house, sure hope we do not have a real down pour, could flood our house.  Calls to Sharp on this were never addressed.  Last but not least, one repair item is still outstanding and we still have not heard from them.  Just to be very careful dealing with this company.  Read all yelp reviews.

Sharp Contracting Complaints:
Sharp does Not take care about its customers.  Here are some examples of this:
1. Sharp does Not return customer calls and/or Emails.  Sharp does Not answer calls unless you call from a number that is Not on file with Sharp.
2. Sharp does Not fix the Problems that Sharp creates.  In other words, Sharp does Not honor Sharp Warranties.  For example, i have been Trying to get Sharp to fix the sprinkler system that Sharp put in.  It broke on 4-5-2021.  I have left Several Voicemails And Emails since the sprinkler broke.  It is Now 4-13-2021, and Sharp still has Not contacted me to take care of the Broken Sprinkler System that is Flooding Both my yard and my neighbors yard (even though the sprinkler system is turned off).

Absolutely terrible. Signed a contract with them to replace an older patio with a stamped and colored product. They gave me a price based on a 6 week delay. After 8 weeks, they finally showed up to do the demo. Ripped up the old concrete (and the sprinkler lines in the process), but no word from them since. They've promised 3 different dates, and nobody shows. Customer service is perfunctory on its best day, dismissive on its worst.

They subbed a much larger patio project four years ago for a renovation GC I use. The finished project was decent, but it hasn't worn very well. (And, naturally, they can't now match the pattern or the color of the 2017 project in the current project. Seriously?)

Do NOT make the mistake of using this firm.

The worst experience you could ever imagine. The concrete overlay began coming off almost immediately. It took two years for them to look at it and guess what? The warranty expired. They did say they would repair it and I called for 3 more years to have them repair the work. Alan who claims to be the manager was so rude on the phone as I tried to explain the issue. He called me a racist and white privileged because I wanted them to do the repairs as promised. He came out January 25, 2022 (almost 4.5 years after my first call) and as I greet him he began to rant about my privilege and race. I tried to keep him on task however he again called me a racist and  walked towards me aggressively. At this point I grabbed his sleeve and pushed him off my property. He got what he wanted. Not having to do a repair. I really can't believe that this company is still in business. How horrible

NINE MONTHS and nothing. We hired them for a $5,000 job 9 months ago and after they cashed our $1,200 check they just vanished. Now we just want our money back and they won't return calls or respond to emails! This seems like a shady as hell scam factory. Stay Away!!

My review is long overdue. I had an irrigation specialist out today to repair Sharps work so it reminded me. Hired sharp last summer to add concrete around our pool area, redo our stamped concrete, add pavers and drip lines and new timer. Lead Crew guy pouring our concrete was a jerk. He wanted a check b4 he started. Told him I had set up with office gal to pay by card once work was done.  They never added a drain so now when it rains water runs right up to the house. The new deck is so slippery and water puddles up every time we use the pool. Get get a drain installed now, we'd have to hire someone to tear up a good portion of decking to repair the work. We will end up doing that soon. Also, Concrete Crew was about to pour a concrete border around our grass when I had purchased pavers from salesmen.  Luckily, I got to them in time to save that disaster from happening.
Crew that did the stamped concrete part was super nice but 1/2 way through we noticed they were doing the wrong colors. They corrected it without hesitation and with apologies, but took twice as long.
Irrigation Guy was late but extremely nice. I thought they did a fine job but didn't see finished job till 10 days later when I returned from vacation. Had to leave irrigation guy at house since he had been late, and I had to leave. Sharp charged me hundreds of dollars for a n timer and they installed a timer from home depot that ran $19.99 in store. There was no cover and wires were ha hanging everywhere. When I called to complain, I never got a call back from owner. Third time I called I told office gal that if I didn't hear back by end of day, I'd be leaving a bad review. Received a call from owner later that day. He yelled, cussed and belittled me for 30 minutes. Every time I tried to tell him what was wrong, he cut me off, cussed and yelled some more. I was so frustrated and almost in tears. They did finally come out to fix hiker work and put in a better timer. I would NEVER recommend Sharp Contracting.

THEY COMMITTED FRAUD
this company did a horrible job and after 9 days they still did not return my calls. I emailed photos and still nothing! I told them via email I was hiring someone else to complete the work. The contract clearly says not to pay until satisfied so I only had paid them the deposit about six weeks before they started. The company called to say they would send out an inspector and he only wants to inspect on Fridays although I am not available on that day.

They found the credit card that I used to place the deposit and Just took my money . They charged  me for an amount I NEVER authorized and I NEVER agreed to. Had I not had fraud alerts I never would have known!!

Update the ROC told me to let them try and fix it . Which I did. The work is not as promised and was finally finished today.
The man they sent tried over and over to get it right while the owner was his typical argumentative self.

This was their effort to repair it and after a full day...I compromised and just had it over with. The finished product looks unprofessional with drips and uneven lines ...it's only a pool deck after all.

I would not recommend anyone use this company for a pool deck..

Sharp collected almost $7g to redo my patio and front sidewalk.  Completed the job in one day and left a spot that looked like a 2yr old had worked on it.  I've asked for them to come back to correct their mistake and I have been delayed three times now, which puts me at 5 months after the original completion date.  That is, if they come in January.  I am so disgusted and frustrated with them.  They collected their payment and now dont care that their customer is dissatisfied.   DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

Biggest mistake hiring Sharp Contracting. I DONOT recommend please please read all reviews before hiring them (Which i didn't, i wish i had)
Very impressive Salesperson, explain well, showed color on my patio then he showed brochure, selected color tone, on-time providing estimates - happy at this time.
Now comes to actual job day -- I showed my color selection and current patio stain, SHarp said will create a sample -- sample created by SHarp  NOT even close 1% - my color (foh finish Burgandy/brown/gold-yellow) tone.
2 sample they created with single color 1) lemon yellow 2) gray on yellow)

NOT even 1% what i selected, all i hear we don't do this, we don't have this color, we don't have this company color... too many excuses.
Called the office to talk to the manager, so many time i called cannot hold of the manager, office admin so rude, OMG they are so unprofessional, rude.
They took 50% deposit and didn't do the job because the technician didn't have the knowledge.
reading other reviews now i can 100% agree with another reviewer, i wish i read before hiring.
I asked to make provide a sample closer to what salesperson showed color  or what i have on my patio...Sharp guy said we don't have those color. cannot hold of manager but office admin keep calling and harrashing

Contacted Sharp contracting about 2 years ago to refinish our stamped concrete that another company did years ago.  Gave me a fair price and did the job after waiting a few weeks.  They did a fantastic job.  Then it started to show a little wear and tear again and was under warranty.  Hard time getting them to come out because of the corona virus and some miscommunications.  Finally, they did come out and resurfaced and resealed the whole patio again at no charge.  They honored their warranty and did a great job!

Sharp started off very impressive with the salesperson coming out on time to give us an estimate on refinishing the acrylic lace deck. Sharp sent out a color brochure after we met, which I was quite impressed with and thought, well, this seems like a good company. Pretty much went downhill from this point, of course, after I gave my 20% deposit!! Nobody returned phone calls nor emails, and I mean A LOT OF phone calls and emails. Nightmare! The people in the office when I did speak to them (a lady) was very unfriendly. This company was much less expensive than the other three companies I received quotes from, which I should have made a correlation of this with what to expect from that point forward.
The guy that came out to do the work wasn't overly friendly either. Overall the work was done okay. He missed a couple of spots. They didn't cover the pool, so that was a MESS, and two of my plants were riddled with paint, so I need to replace them. They said to stay off the deck for 24 hours for it to dry. Hence, we did that, and even more. The deck was sticky for several weeks afterward, and still in some areas is sticky. It will be interesting next summer to see if the stickiness comes back with the heat! I have once again tried MULTIPLE times to contact them about fixing the stickiness to no avail. JUST LIKE THE SCORES of other reviews state-DON'T BOTHER AND RISK YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH SHARP CONTRACTING!!!! I would NEVER use them for anything even if it was free!!!!!

I wanted to give this company the opportunity to make things better so I could be the one to write a review with a different outcome.  Unfortunately that didn't happen.  We booked them to refurbish our cool deck.  Upon completion, the concrete was much hotter than before.  So I called.  I was told that our cool deck properties were actually in the concrete so painting it would actually cause it to be hotter.  Gee - don't you think you would have shared that with us prior to painting it?  What they used was actually a primer from Home Depot.  They left the bucket, I have photos.  When I called, they told me they used a proprietary product.  They did send someone back out as there were spots missed and I wanted that fixed.  Nice young man that told me he used a better product this time around.  So much for the proprietary product I guess.  

The deck is still so hot we can barely walk on it now but I guess we will have to find a different solution.  Lesson learned.  Don't use them.

If I could do negative reviews, I would!  Beware!  Do not use this company.  I have called, left messages and sent emails.  I was contacted once by the very defensive owner/manager Alan and told he would contact me to have someone come out to repair their work.  Of course, it's now crickets and there's no response.  Not only is the work totally unacceptable but is supposed to come with a 2-year warranty.  I guess you can offer a warranty when you have no plans of ever calling back your clients.  I can't believe this level of workmanship.  I had a good experience with this company 4 yrs ago and thought they would again do a good job.  Boy was I wrong!  It's worse than when they started and it will cost us thousands to fix the damage they've done.  I am shocked that someone would leave this as their work and that a company would want this out there as their quality!  They take your money and run.  Don't make the same mistake we did!  This contract was signed in February 2020, work started in April and the finished work was done June 11, 2020.  The contract was to repair cracks in the pool decking, resurface the cool-decking and repair/resurface the faux border around the pool.  Cracks are not repaired and surface is uneven.  Looks like they used common house paint to repaint the surface (poorly at that), and I don't even know what they did around the faux border of the pool.  Although they did manage to break 2 of the aerators around the pool and not even bother to mention it.  Stay away.

I had Sharp come out to ReDo my pool deck.  They did a beautiful stamped concrete around the pool and outdoor kitchen area.

Within 1 week I had a crack about 2 Ft long.  I have called them 4 times and only talked to their answering service and NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK!  I certainly expected my Sales Guy, David Booth to at least call me to see how the job went

I paid over $8,000 and am VERY DISSATISFIED and no one from the company is responding to my calls!

I paid over a thousand dollar to have them seal the concrete and have large area that we're not treated.  I have left messages asking for a gallon of the sealer and I will spray the areas myself.

Again, NO ONE IS CALLING ME BACK.

I am in the process of using Sharp to do stamp concrete around my pool and concrete patio. I will keep an update live on here at Yelp as I also paid the non refundable deposit. I am going to be as diligent as I can to make sure they do a good job.

Don't trust them. Very poor quality of work and if you complain-they will stonewall you and not return calls or emails. Beware- don't let them take your money and run like they did to me.

I wish I had read these reviews before signing up with them. Terrible business practices and poor workmanship. Service repair crew sent for the second time and still not fixed. I'm moving on and having a real, experienced company redo my pool and decking in the spring. Don't waste your time or money folks! I'll refrain from any feedback directed at the owner/manager - that should say it all. How do they stay in business? They seem to do the minimal amount, virtually no focus on quality or customer care. I was told by the repair crew- 'we don't talk to the office, they don't give us instructions or your emails or photos (yes I sent them photos of he work that needed to be corrected) they just tell where to go'. Is that any way to run a business? Rework costs must be astronomical! This is the second time the same repair crew has been here and after they show up they said they can't do the repairs because I need to lower the water level in the pool!!! They never said anything about this during their first trip and I would have been nice if Sharp had asked me to do it in advance. When I suggested that crew put blue painters tape on the pool tile so they could paint the underside of the coping the dude said don't call me an idiot - the word never left my mouth - anyone would know that putting blue painters tape on the tile makes sense - I'm going to let them try to repair the job one more time and that's it.

Adios Sharp Contracting - you'll never see another cent from me!

Update! Here is my review on google from 8 months ago: I would recommend Sharp Contracting! I scheduled a quote and the gentleman was amazing. He was on time and very respectful. He listened to my plans, surveyed the area and explained the work, cost and details in a clear and simple manner. I very impressed by the professionalism and of course the price. After the quote I visited the show room to view the type and colors of concrete before I made a decision. The lady at the store was equally helpful. I booked my job and I can't wait to get it scheduled and finished. I will update this post with the finished product! Thanks guys!

Update: Sharp Contracting did an amazing job! My backyard is beautiful!  Everyone I dealt with was incredibly respectful and helped me with each decision for style and color. I am so glad I went with Sharp Contracting! I will be contacting them soon for more projects around my house.

I have NEVER been treated so badly by a company before! DON'T BOTHER GIVING THESE PEOPLE MONEY, ITS NOT WORTH THE STRESS.

We contracted with Sharp to redo our pool cool decking. We waited 6+ weeks for our repairs. The crew was a few hours late that day, but other wise friendly and seemed to do a good job. They left with instructions not to walk on the new deck or put furniture for 2 days, which we followed diligently.

This is where the story goes wrong.

We used the pool day 3 after the repairs. After the deck dried, there were noticable​ places were the paint washed away, showing the white plaster underneath. It looked TERRIBLE!

I called the following Monday, (5 days after the repair) to report the issue. NO ONE called me back. I called back again on Friday to report the issue again. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I gave them a week and a half to figure out their scheduling before I called back a 3rd time. I STILL didn't get a call back until 3 days later. They told me someone would be coming out today (7/10) to fix the deck at 8 am.

Guy shows up today at 6 am, two hours early. Normally I might not complain about this but 6 am requires notice. The guy is COMPLETELY unaware of what job he's there to do. He says he only has time/supplies to paint over the patches, proceeds to do so IN A DIFFERENT COLOR. And, to make it worse, he didn't prep the area first and actually painted over BIRD CRAP. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME.

I'll attempt to get someone at this business to care enough to make this right, but I don't have high hopes at this point. STAY AWAY!!!

Great Company! They have done several projects for me over the years. Recently they did my front entry & walkway in stamped concrete...and it looks great! I have had no problems with this company or with the work they did. Their crews are some of the hardest working fellas I've seen and they know what they are doing...you can tell. Jan 2020 had a stamped patio put in. after they performed the work I found some discoloration and one small pot hole. they told me to wait a few months that the color would change, well it did not I call them back again in March and then we had COVID I understand they closed down for awhile. I called back in July and they we back working but could not schedule. again in Aug same thing. In mid Sept they said I would be on the schedule in the next couple weeks. It is now Oct 13 and nothing. Further they will NOT answer my calls or return my call. I have left numerous messages. I just want this issue corrected.

I'm going to start this review with 5-stars. I have contracted with them to put in stamped concrete. As I have received a 30% discount, I am told it is 12 weeks out, which is agreeable. I'd rather have the discount than the work done right away. Thus far, I am somewhat pleased with the service I have received. I provided them measurements over email and told them what I wanted done. They gave me a quote which I agreed to.

Update: Once signing the contract and having changed colors twice, I have not heard back from them...not even a confirmation. I would prefer communication be confirmed when making a change, but seeing I have 9-weeks to the work being completed I will give them the benefit of the doubt. That being said, I am concerned about communication seeing I have provided a NON-REFUNDABLE down payment. They were quite responsive to make the sale.

We hired Sharp to redo the patio deck around our pool. Our experience in the very beginning wasn't bad. The salesman who came to our house to give us the quote was very nice, prompt, professional and friendly. He turned around the quote within a day, and we ended up signing with them a week later because the price was the most affordable and they were running a promotion.

They required us to put down a 20% deposit to lock in the date which I thought was odd to pay anything upfront for work that hasn't even been started yet. Then we had to wait 5 weeks for them to come out to actually do the work due to them being too busy to get us in any sooner.

Then the week they were supposed to start the work, they called to reschedule at the last minute, pushing the start date out 2 days... when we had plans to leave town the following day! So it was a huge inconvenience for us, but we tried not to put too much thought into it and let things go, but it only got worse from there!

The man assigned to the job was supposed to show up between 1-4pm on May 22nd, and didn't show up until 4pm that day with no communication that he was on his way. Then when he showed up, he proceeded by telling me that he had a larger job before ours and was too tired to start the work, so he promised he'd start at 6am the next day. I was ok with this, and was very understanding... but then more excuses stared to pop up. Long story short, he was supposed to start the job on the 22nd, and didn't complete the work until the 24th.

Excuse after excuse with absolutely NO communication via text or by phone... UNLESS I contacted him. Remind you, we were out of town, and didn't even get a text or call when he was finished. Then to top it off, the worker left a huge mess outside, didn't clean up the paint chips and particles. The worst part is there were concrete pieces and paint chips everywhere and we had to clean it up so our dog wouldn't eat anything poisonous. There was also inconsistencies in paint and concrete. You could tell where he patched up holes and he missed spots when painting.  

I called when I got back into town to let a manager know what had happened and to see if they could come back to fix the pavement and paint, but no one answered. I got an after hours answering service during REGULAR business hours, with no call back. I'll give them a day or so, and I'll update this post if and when I hear back.

Overall, we're VERY frustrated, and unhappy with the delays, the overall (lack of) communication from the worker, the construction job overall, and the mess that was left in our backyard afterwards. The work itself looks okay, but our overall our experience was terrible! It's too bad too, because we were looking to hire them to do a much larger project given this project went well, but it looks like we'll be looking for another company due to everything that had happened!!! I feel bad to complain but people need to READ THESE REVIEWS & BE AWARE of this company!!! I DO NOT recommend their service to anyone! UNHAPPY CLIENT!

*** UPDATE****
Sharp sent someone back out to fix up the work. He did a really good job and the deck looks much, much better! Finally!!! But they need to train their team on manners and professionalism. You don't go around telling people well, I wish I could lounge around all day in a maxi dress inside a house, or you look tired so I'll be quick... just mind boggles me!

Had Sharpe contracting redo our pool deck . The gentleman I met with was incredibly kind and professional, that is where it stopped . Everyone else from the receptionist to the installers ended up being a complete catastrophe. Upon installing the new deck they didn't cover any of our pool furniture which had left it white and stiff from the storm of dust. We tried to hose it out but? To no avail .. we will have to buy new furniture this summer , as ours is ruined . They claim it's not their responsibility to cover anything or move it.. ( would have been nice to know as a simple sheet would have saved our very expensive patio furniture ) Next , the color swatch was COMPLETELY different than the end result . After scheduling a post inspection and having the inspector treat me with such incredible disrespect .. I have decided this company is one to be avoided. Buyer beware.

The first two guys that came out just painted. They did not do any repair's to the deck that were discussed with the Sales Rep..
Called Sharp with the issue, they sent out two different guy's a few weeks later that did a fantastic job.

Recommend asking a lot of question's so you know exactly what you are getting for your money.

They did Some pool tile work and coping for me in April 2020. There were some small punch list type things that needed to be fixed and I was told that due to Covid it would be later in the summer before they can get to it. Beginning in late July and all the way through September I tried to reach out to them to have them come and fix them. They never return phone call nor emails. I would be very cautious using this group

We were very disappointed in our results when Sharp refinished our deck. First they showed up with the wrong color then left with the cracks we originally wanted fixed untouched. When we called, they sent a guy out who spray painted the cracks with a non matching paint and left. It looks terrible and the cracks are worse.

This company is terrible save yourself and don't hire them I had them work on my property in Aug they had material on my screen on my house they didn't put the thin coat down properly and when I called back it took 30 days to get one appointment they canceled it , another 30 days the man was sick he couldn't come out,  another 30 days we can't do it, rain, another 30 days he's running behind will have to reschedule.... it is now December.  Finally after expressing our
frustration to the Manager/ maybe owner and arguing over how long it was taking to get this job done he sent two people out on Dec 21st.

Beware of their poor customer service! Sharp did our stamped concrete about resurface 2 years ago. They did a nice job. We have had a few spots fade and wanted to just get them to come out and reinspect it to see if it needs any resealing (it is still under warranty). I've called 4 times in the last 2 weeks, they tell me they will schedule a time to reinspect and I have never received a call to schedule a time. They say they only schedule on Thursdays, it has been 2 Thursdays and still nothing. Very frustrating.

Stay away from this company. They change their company name often when they get too many complaints. When they did my stamp concrete many years ago. It was a horrible job. Now I am stuck with a boot print that is very visable. But also a job that year by year gets worse. You can't get anyone to come out and if they do make an appointment. They don't show up, I finally just gave up and chalked it up to being an idiot. Never again, I learned my listen and now do my homework when my home needs work.

I had my backyard hardscaped almost a year ago and am just now able to write a review without becoming unprofessional with my words and out of my mind angry.  I do not feel the need to add additional information/examples as the other unfortunate customers have painted a PERFECT picture of what you can expect with Sharpe. While the sales person was very nice and professional he is where the problem started I believe...wrong measurements/drawings leading to an entire 2 week debacle.  The installers were nice but completely at the mercy of the most unprofessional management team I have every come across in my 48 years of existence.

The sales guy was great. That's where the customer service ended. Our pool decking is unevenly colored, the farther away from the house the less color was used.
The workers dropped a box of screws into my pool and never said anything to me. Their drill bit was stuck in my pool vacuum. I ended up buying a magnet on a telescoping handle because the work was done in November and when I told the office person she couldn't care less about the crappy work. I suggested the concrete guys carry a magnet that can be purchased at Home Depot for $10.00, she only said that was a good idea. There wasn't any compensation for the poor quality of work or even a vague apology for the inconvenience they caused us.
A new pool vacuum was $800.
HUGE WASTE OF MONEY, LOOKS TERRIBLE!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. One of the worst interactions I have had with a company. I have spoken with many people in the office since contracting in February, and today I spoke with Allen. I see from other reviews, others have experienced his lack of professionalism and down right rudeness. Flawed finish that I let them know about within two days of doing the job. Covid has been their excuse. In June they said they would come out and fix the finish, so cleared the patio and surrounding area in 115 degree heat. They called right before they were to show up and said their technician had a baby and couldn't make it. Apparently they have no other workers to fix what they did wrong. They have not called me to communicate about the work, a timing for the fix, since Feb. Every call has been on my end. No attempt to make anything right. Beware of this company and their shady practices.

They have been impossible and we are going to ask for a refund of our deposit for our remaining work.

The first work they did was to stucco our concrete block wall. The stucco work was good. But the workers left a big mess with trash, spillage and splashed around globs of stucco.
Part of the overall job requested and bid upon was to also to install a new gate. All was requested as one job together. The stucco work was done in July. Now it is December and they still will not give us a date to install the gate.   We have called dozens of times and when we catch them answering the phone they sound agreeable.  But never real follow up with a date to get the work done.
In the interim based on the mess they left we had put the rest of the landscaping work in hold. We are tired of living with an unfinished back yard over this.
At this point we are just going to ask for a refund of our remaining deposit. So we can move on with a different contractor.

Some of the people such as Alan is very rude and not good at meeting appointments and taking several attempts to get it right. Don't deal with Alan. The second you challenge him, he will tell you to stop yelling when you aren't yelling and to stop using vulgar language. None of which are true. Record the call and you will laugh at Alan to see that he has mind of a 10 year old and no business savvy whatsoever. He is not good at business or communicating with people. He doesn't take responsibility for his company's actions when they are at fault. He looks unintelligent when he tries to accuse you of these things. Alisha is very nice and Anna is too but some others don't get the job done and they are always pushing your appointment back. Alan is a far cry from someone who should be in business. He's the type of person that falsely accuses you. Record your call and play it back and let him hear it, he looks like a jackass after you do. He has no leverage to stand on nor any credibility. He just doesn't claim responsibility for his company's inability to fulfill the service long after he takes your money. Next stop, local news media which will light him up and have him scrambling when he hears the recorded calls of him falsely accusing you. Be careful Alan of what you say and get your facts straight because you look stupid when you are completely wrong! Facts come out to prove it. Follow through on what you say you're going to do and grow a pair and have some credibility!

my experience with Sharp was good at first . Loved the guy that came out to discuss our plans . Loved the guys that did the stamping , Then it went down hill from there . The guy that comes out to do finishing touches and or fixing things that needed fixing , I don't think he was trained because his work was awful! and they kept sending  him even though I asked for someone else that actually new what they were doing! My decking and stamping is finished thank good . it took 5months! but for the last 3 month I have tried to get a question about what I can do about slippage when wet. nothing. 20 call no call back the answering service always answers. its so frustrating! My dogs are slipping all over the patio and I am afraid one of them will take a hip out . all I want to know is if they have something that they can seal again with that has nonslip in it. Horrible customer service!!!!

I had my cool deck done on Dec. 20th.  Big chunks of the old cool deck are in the bottom of my pool, Two of my pathway lights were broken, they missed covering part of a stepping stone and there are cracks in the cool deck after it dried.  I have been calling them for two days and get nothing but an answering service. I have left several messages to call me and I hear nothing from them. This was a bad choice to go with this company.  All the chunks of the cool deck that they chipped away they left in my yard.  Bad choice.  Don't use this company

Bad experience with this company regarding our pool deck.  Basically shut down my pool for the entire summer 2018.  Did some repairs on the deck and cracked about 10 tile in the pool.  I had to call to get them to repair it and they made me wait about 2 months.  They painted my pool deck and I had them come back as wrong color plus someone walked in it while still wet.  When they came back, nothing was prepared before painting so less than 1 year later it is peeling up.  In general poor customer service and work quality.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE.  Poor workmanship done on our pool decking.  Puts the blame on the homeowner.  Had to move the appointment time to have a supervisor come out and apparently he never got the message that it had been moved (approved by the office gal).  Yet it was completely my fault for wasting his time??????  Promised to get on the internet and let it be known how awful of a person I was to do business with.  Does this really happen in today's world?  YES IT DOES.  DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, YOU WILL BE SORRY.

In my 52 years on this planet, I have never dealt with a worse company than Sharp Contracting. I had sharp install a stamped concrete pool deck, the actual concrete was nice, the finishing work and customer service were terrible.  The first time the deck was colored and sealed, I raised some concerns about the color and rough finish around the pool edge.  The worker, who was already pissed off that he was working all day by himself, got a bit mouthy with me and told me to talk to a supervisor.  So I did talk to a supervisor that evening, Alan actually called me.  Turns out the employee that was at my house, told Alan a complete lie about how I yelled and cursed at him complaining about the work.  Of course that never happened, their employees have some serious integrity issues.  The deck was finally colored and sealed and looked pretty good, however the day that they sealed the deck, it rained later in the afternoon.  When I contacted Sharp to let them know about my concerns, they said don't worry, you have a 2 year warranty.  Well one year later, the sealer began to fail, and the color was failing in some areas as well.  They did come out to repair the deck finish, but all they did was spend about 15 minutes spraying sealer over all of the affected areas, and refused to recolor the areas that need it.  I complained and emailed pictures to Sharp and never got a response.  Please don't waste your time, money and aggravation with Sharp Contracting!

I'm sorry to say this but I beg you please don't use Sharp Manufacturing and Contracting! We had our patio, cool deck and curbing done for our turf grass! Before we became involved with Sharp Contacting we had  grass outlined in pavers with 1 rocks surrounding the pavers. Instead of moving the 1 rocks to build a foundation for the new concrete, they poured their concrete curbing on top of the piles of the 1 rock making a very unstable concrete border around our new turf! Of course, in less than a year the curbing has 1/4 wide cracks because of their inferior preparation. The inside of swimming pool cool deck is so uneven and rough that my grandchildren get deep cuts on their legs when they pull themselves out of the pool. It looks so bad. My dealings with this company were so frustrating that I just wanted them off my property and will never ask them to return for repairs. They used every excuse in the books to not take responsibility for their poor workmanship and the owner doesn't expect quality work and will not return your calls.

I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. I needed them to repair a pool deck that they had put in. The patch does not match the rest of the deck. It took forever to schedule the job. Of course, I had to put down a deposit on my credit card. Once the repair was horribly done, I told the crew I would mail in my check. I was going to hold it a week or so because the were a**holes. Anyway, they left a message on my phone telling me that they had charged it to my credit card without my permission! My credit card company would not reverse the charge because I had previously done business with them. Canceled the card, and I will never do business with Sharp again!  AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

One star for this business is generous. We had them do a driveway for us about 6 years ago. They were great to work with at the time as we had an issue with a section of the driveway and they addressed it without hassle. Fast forward 6 years. I think management must have changed hands. We reached out to them to have someone come look at the same problematic section. We both spoke with the business manager and I can say that my words have never been so purposely manipulated and in such a condescending way. This guy was awful and intentionally so. He acted as if we wanted something for free. I never indicated I was expecting any warranty work. I just wanted someone to take a look at our crumbling driveway and go from there. In short, I  would absolutely stay away from this company for fear that if you ever need any follow up, you too will be treated this way.  Their customer service is absolutely terrible and not worth subjecting yourself to.  Buyer Beware!!!!

Very disappointed. I've already had two issues since the completion of the project. On both times I called in with an issue they did not reply until I called a second time. I had grass taken out so that landscape rock and artificial grass could be put down and had then redo irrigation for the reconfiguration of the landscaping. I ended up with multiple leaks on the irrigation and a higher water bill and the second time was when grass was popping up everywhere through the landscape rock because they didn't properly kill off the grass. I am hoping they correct this issue. I do not want to have to constantly kill off the grass. This would be both very time-consuming, costly, and extremely annoying. This was supposed to be taken care of prior to putting down the landscape rock and the artificial grass. Apparently not. Their pricing was very competitive and lower than some of the bids I had. This may be a perfect example of you get what you pay for. an additional problem I forgot to mention was the morning they were supposed to arrive and wanted to be there early to walk the job site prior to starting, I was forgotten and no one showed up. They do not seem to have multiple crews but one small one and there were unexpected delays both on starting and completing the job. Part of it was weather-related so that was understandable but that was not always the case.

I had sharp contracting out to restore my stamped concrete patio deck around the pool and under the awning in the backyard.  They go by Sharp contracting and also HardscapeRestore or RestoreYourHardscaping.c… which redirects you to sharp contracting.  They had a nice advertisement in the Home Concepts home improvement remodeling guide that is mailed to homeowners.  When the individual came out, he recommended resurfacing the stamped concrete, which i found out after the fact, they just painted the stamped concrete and put a sealer on top.  The individual who came out said it would make it look like granite and showed me some before and after photos, which looked great.  After they coated the surface within a month, i noticed the coating started to look chalky and dry, losing color.  After several months, I had areas that were peeling and it was completely faded and looked awful.  For the price and the coating only lasting a couple of months at best, I would NOT recommend this painting/coating process.  I had to have another company come out, Allied Outdoor Solutions and they had to grind off all of the coating, put on their carvestone product, color it and seal it, which looks great.  I will definitely do my homework and read reviews next time I consider any new projects for home improvement.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Wish we would have seen the reviews before hiring this company to do landscaping for us. It took them 3 months to finish our  project and it was a nightmare for us dealing with them. Like some of the other reviews stated, the management of this company is horrible. They bully you to make progress payments each day they come out to do work. Progress payments were never in the initial contract. We gave them a down payment and thought the final payment would be due when the work was completed to our satisfaction. Instead we ended up writing them over 5 checks and the workers would not leave until they got a check from us. We spent over $20,000 for our project and the work they performed is substandard. There are numerous things they did wrong, and I will just mention a few. We had turf installed and they did a 15 X 15 square. One side of the square is crooked and is visible as you walk into the yard area. They were unwilling to correct it. The rock they installed was not spread evenly throughout the yard and we will have to spread it ourselves or pay someone to do it. The pavers they used were not the color we thought we were getting and had 4 small light spots on each paver - never did get an answer what they were caused by. They installed a Pergola using what looks like low quality wood. It has splits in the wood and is splintering all over. They had to go buy extra wood while installing it as something wasn't right. They were painting that piece of wood while here. They left the can of paint and after they left we noticed numerous areas that need to be painted. The Pergola should have had at least two coats of paint applied. It is not worth the stress for us to call them back to fix the things that need to be done. We will just do it ourselves or pay someone else to do it. Just so you know no one from this company comes out to check the work of their crew. You are always making payments to the workers even though the work is not to your satisfaction. Even on the final payment there is no one from the company to inspect the final work to ensure it is according to the contract. The person you DON'T want to deal with is Alan. He is argumentative and a bully. He should not be a general manager. We agree with other reviews - we don't know how this company is still in business. BUYER BEWARE! We would give this a zero star if we could.

After a poor customer service experience and letting the GM, Alan, know I'd be sharing my experience on yelp, he actually said to me we're going to research you and write you a bad yelp review.  I'm still at a loss for words that any respectable GM of an actual business would threaten a customer like that.  This is a classic example of you get what you pay for.  After having a pool built and backyard landscaping completed last year, I decided to re-landscape my front yard, but being that I had just spent so much on the backyard, I bargain shopped the front yard.  Sharp Contracting was who I found.  Upon design they sold me an upgraded LED light package, just as I have in my backyard.  I was told that this light package would last roughly 10 years.  After just 1 year, one of the lights stopped working.  I contacted Sharp Contracting and spoke with Dale, who was actually very nice and respectful, and agreed the light should not have gone out already.  He requested that I dissemble the light and send a pic of the serial numbers, which I did.  Unfortunately the matter was then turned over to their GM, Alan.  It took several follow up emails and calls for me to even get him to come look at it.  After left messages and week after (1 month after originally reaching out to Dale) doing the inspection, I was able to get Alan on the phone in which he stated the light is discontinued and there's nothing they could do.  Upset since I paid for an upgraded light package and now have 1 non-working and non-replaceable light, I requested they should find a solution, much to the disagreement with Alan.  After getting nowhere with no resolutions provided, I then stated I'd be sharing my experience on yelp in which he replied the above comment.  He then stated to me don't talk over me.  This company clearly does NOT stand by their product or service, nor do they even remotely provide adequate customer service.  I highly recommend continuing to shop around before using this company.

I have been very patient with the folks at Sharp these past couple of years prior to and following their efforts to coat my garage floor and repair pool decking but it is time for me to face facts, these folks truly represent the lower-end of professional contractors.  I have been in the commercial real estate business for over 28 years and have dealt with hundreds of contractors during that time and would place Sharp at the lowest for customer service, workmanship and material quality that I have experienced.  I'm in my second year of asking them to correct deficiencies in their original installation and nothing seems to get better.  Following repairs Sharp made to their original work in 2016 I again summoned them in 2017 to repair the previous repairs which took months.  A representative from Sharp took photos of the deteriorating conditions on my garage floor and pool deck on October 3, 2017 and I have yet to receive a response from them in any way confirming next steps.  It saddens me to share this type of assessment for as a business person I desperately want our economy to thrive and small business is the driving force, but I feel an obligation as well to the vast majority of good companies who are striving to provide quality and service.  I'm hopeful my experience will help others seek quality professionals and avoid the Sharp's of the world.

Wish I had Yelped this company before I hired them.  Our experience with them is similar to the other reviews on this site.  Sharp was hired to install a sidewalk along the side of our home and then apply a stamped coating over it.  The initial work was fine except for the fact that they did not put excavated materials in a place where it could be reused.   The major problem  came with the stamping.   After completing the work no tape was put up to cordon off the area.   In our absence, landscapers came and brought equipment across the walkway before it was dry, consequently damaging the surface.   Getting this damage repaired has been an exercise in frustration.  One repair was made that was totally unsatisfactory and getting an inspector  out was only accomplished after discussing our engaging an attorney.  Alan was extremely   uncooperative in discussing our dissatisfaction with the repair.  He would not discuss the issue of no yellow tape being put up at all.  He told us we were difficult and harming his business as a result of having to return to fix the problem that they indirectly created.   We were called combative and mean.  Totally unprofessional.   At this time the problem is supposed to be addressed next week.  Time will tell.  So so sorry we hired them.  Beware.  Workers are ok but management is unprofessional and not intetested in customer satisfaction.

Very disappointed in this company's customer service.  We first used them in February 2016 to restore our pool decking and to do some stamped concrete on our patio. We spent 2,900.00. We had a couple delays, but they finished before we had a family event. We called them again in May to get a bid to do stack stone on the front of our house. Our bid was around 10,000. We set up a time for them to do it with the only stipulation that it was done by 4th of July. They assured us it would be scheduled by the beginning of June. That time came and went and we spent most of June calling them asking when it was going to be done. We were always assured someone would call, but they never did, we always made the phone calls.  We finally got a hold of someone towards the end of June and they scheduled us, then the day they were suppose to do it, they cancelled. For the next couple of days they continued to cancel. Finally we got a hold of a supervisor named Rob. He assured us our job would be started the next morning. The next morning they showed up with the wrong stone!  We called to talk to the owner. He never called, we finally got a hold of him the next day. By then we just wanted our deposit back, which the owner did send to us. They are a company full of empty promises. We ended with another contractor for half the cost. They also aren't very good at repairs which we needed on our chipped pool decking that was only 2 months old.  Would not recommend this company.

this was the worst company i have had to deal with. they did the job on 7-14-17 and it was so bad it took them 3 weeks to come back out  to look at it. then they kept telling us that they have not did the schedule yet this went on for weeks. finally after putting a dispute on are credit card and file a complaint with register contractor and file a complain with the bbb they took care of the problem on 9-29 and 9-30. what ever you do dont use this company i would give them a zero rating if i could
