Best Concrete Contractors in United States

When things fell through with our landscape designer, my wife and I were looking for a dependable contractor to help us transform our backyard.  Our main focus was to have a section of concrete replaced along with installation of our new paver patio and bbq island foundation.  We had several contractors give us bids, however, Charlie (owner) was probably the most thorough and spent time to explain everything and answer all our questions.  

Charlie is one of those old school contractors that say it how it is and will take the time to explain everything. You can tell that he's experienced in his craft and is willing to share his knowledge. Although his crew was booked solid for a few months, it was well worth the wait.  Charlie shot me a text 2 weeks out and confirmed the start date. He showed up on time and completed the job a day early.  There's no doubt in my mind that he and crew have a strong work ethic and are willing to make the customer happy.

Don't be afraid to give him a chance. If this review didn't convince you to use him, then maybe the other 50 5-Star reviews will.  We have several other projects lined up with him, except he doesn't know it yet ha.

I rarely take the time to write a review but I am compelled to recognize the outstanding customer service and work of Alfredo. Most concrete companies are so busy they wouldn't even respond to a homeowner who needed a small job done. He not only responded right away but gave me a reasonable bid based on my photos and dimensions I sent him. He followed up by scheduling the work the same day and text me the day before to let me  know he would be there. The attention to detail of keeping everything clean and using the best techniques to assure the would was done properly were amazing. Take a look at the before and after photos. Jose did fantastic job, more than what I had asked.  He kept me updated about his arrival time, gave me a 30 minute window.  Got to work quickly finished the job and cleaned up.  Very polite, professional and honest, you can't ask for much more in a contractor.  I will definitely use him again, and will recommend his to my friends.

Great work!  I love my pavers.   Nacho and crew worked tirelessly until the job was perfect.  No need to look anywhere else!   He quickly came out and gave me an estimate the same day I asked.  Price is competitive.  Craftsmanship is impeccable.   He took out a poorly placed concrete slab at my side garage door entrance and built a beautiful base of pavers with a nice step made of pavers.  He's creative!

This company came out and replaced our RV gate. They were fast, cost effective, and put in a very nice quality gate. I would absolutely use again!

The guys from AZ concrete works are just finishing up a project in our backyard.  We can't recommend them highly enough.  The finished concrete piece looks amazing!  Far more sculpture than giant planter, just what we wanted to make a contemporary statement in our yard,

We are very pleased with the work they did. We had an old coy pond under our gazebo.  We wanted it filled to make it functional. They placed travertine throughout our patio and gazebo area. They also replaced all of our wooden posts & sprinklers. Jordy and his crew were timely & efficient. I mostly appreciated his feedback & open communication during the project. Their pricing was reasonable & competitive. We plan to use them again for any future work for our front yard.

We didn't have a big project, but Dave and his team treated us like we did.  They were communicative, on time, honest, reliable, and reasonably priced.

Alberto and his crew did a fabulous job t our home. They built a retaining wall, installed irrigation and installed artificial turf. The crew was professional, on time, and very helpful. Their price was right on, and they cleaned up as if they had never been there! I would highly recommend them!

I contacted Green Valley via Yelp on Sunday to take care of a large downed limb and to do some cleanup around the same tree. I got a reply saying he would be there at 5pm to give me a quote. By 5:30, he hadn't shown up or messaged or anything, and it was starting to rain and blow. It is kind of hard to do a quote in those weather conditions, so I messaged him to see if he wanted to do it the next day. (If he had been there by 5:00 like he said, he would have missed the bad weather).  He asked me how early I could be available the next day, and I said 7:00 am. He replied that he would be there at 7am to give me a quote. By 8:00 am he hadn't shown up, no call or messages, so I headed in to work. He arrived at my house after 9:30am, and since I was already gone, my father-in-law had to give him the rundown of what I wanted done. He gave us a quote, we agreed, and he scheduled the work to be done at 1:00pm the next day.

The next day, I get home for lunch around noon and the crew is onsite and started. So they actually showed up early, which was great.  When they finished, we had to call in to make the payment. The lady we spoke to wasn't ready or able to take the payment, so she called us back later. Later, as we are about to make the payment, we find out they charge an 8% fee to use a credit card. This seems really high, and our original bill was $450, so it adds up quite a bit. This fee is also not advertised on their site anywhere. We asked if the fee could be waived, and we were told that the credit card processor they use charges them that much. I've worked in point-of-sale information technology and I can't say I've ever seen a fee that high. Even the big companies, like Square, charge around 3%. So this didn't seem right. I don't like the idea of paying extra on top of the quote. Obviously the business owner knows that the fee is 8%, so why not build that into the quote in the first place? This would be a better alternative to slapping the customer in the face with it at the end of the job. So we negotiated a bit and agreed on a total price of $430 if we pay in cash.

We agreed to this, and the lady said she would stop by our house between 8:00am and 8:30am to pick up the cash. Unsurprisingly, by 10:00am no one showed up. We went about our day, and got a call at noon from the lady saying she was at our house waiting to pick up the cash. Four hours late!

Based on the company tacking on fees on top of the quote and not seeming to be able to stick to a time commitment, we will not be using them in the future. These behaviors are all the things I don't like about working with these types of companies. I was hoping they would be different based on the reviews, but I was unfortunately disappointed.

Where to begin with how absolutely awesome Colorworks Landscaping is... everything from the initial meeting and estimate, changes/adjustments regarding project plans, the day of installation, to their excellent post-project follow-up was first rate, 5 stars. Jon came out to see our backyard, assess the project and give us an idea of cost. Jon is incredibly professional, polite, funny, and so lighting-fast with text and call response times, it was a pleasure communicating with Colorworks. Everyone, Jon, G Michael, Armando, and Juan were true professionals and so conscientious with communication. We had our drip system extended to the backyard, a new sprinkler system, grass, pavers, trees, and plants installed. The crew that showed up early on a Saturday morning were right on time, incredibly polite, worked very hard, and had everything done by the afternoon. Our backyard is BEAUTIFUL. Just perfect. When I had a question about the drip system after the project was completed, Jon got back to me very quickly with a personal call. It was much appreciated and I feel confident that Colorworks stands by their excellent work.  

If you need landscaping work done, I highly recommend Colorworks.  Their prices are phenomenal (I met with several companies!) and the work exemplary.  5 Big Stars!

We hired Ramos Concrete to do front door concrete steps for an in-law suite addition. It was very easy to work with Augustine. Very timely, professional and communicative. I was appreciative that he squeezed us in to his busy schedule. Many of the other contractors I tried calling simply ignored my calls or didn't show up. Glad I found them and the steps look great! I highly recommend.

CSI is the best contractor we've worked with. On time, on budget and great communicators.  The project turned out great and I couldn't be happier.  Highly recommended .

I've had New Generation Block Fence to my home twice to do repairs on my brick wall.  The work was outstanding, the service was great, and the price was very fair.  Highly recommend.

I was very happy with the response of this company.  They sent someone out immediately to look at my project and take measurements.  Shortly after someone else came out to look and get more information.  He even mapped things out in my yard with paint and spoke about a 3D rendering.  He said he'd come up with some drawings and get back to me.  I was very excited to get this started.  After two weeks and hearing nothing, I contacted Nature Home asking if they'd changed their mind in taking on my project.  The gal I IM'd with said no, they were very busy and she'd get right back to me.  I am now another two weeks out with no response.  If you don't want to work with me just tell me.  It's very poor customer service not to communicate.
