The owner, Jaime, came right away and did a great job cleaning out our clogged kitchen sink drain pipe, and explaining the cause, and how to prevent it in the future. He was very friendly and professional, and his assistant was great as well. He bent over backwards to fit us into the schedule right away and help us out. We ended up hiring him to do a plumbing repair job shortly thereafter and again he went above and beyond, creating something better than we had to begin with, instead of just fixing a leak. We would highly recommend Fantastic Rooter for any type of plumbing needs to anyone. You'll be glad that you called him.

We had a sewer main back up at our house at 6 PM and called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing. Jaime Olvera called my wife back immediately and within one hour he was on site. He snaked the line and it was functional within 30 minutes.

More importantly, he put a camera down the line and actually assessed the problem that we have been dealing with for years. Apparently we had a sewer line clean out that was buried near a tree in our front yard. None of the previous plumbers have ever told us this.

The next day Jaime returned to our house, dug down to the clean out and located it. he then extended the pipe up to grade level and reinstalled the Christy box and cover.

Very friendly, professional, and competent. Would definitely recommend.

I was told by my property manager that I had a leak in water purification system under my sink at a rental in downtown San Jose. The problem is... I live in Dallas! So I called Fantastic Rooter and they were out there almost immediately! I asked them to take the water purification system out. There was also a water line connected to the fridge, so there was plenty of problem solving and parts that had to be created to make this work. I could also pay electronically, which was incredibly convenient. Also, the price was VERY reasonable. This is the only plumber I will ever call. I am almost looking forward to some plumbing issues, so I can call them! Thank you Brian and Jasmine!

I had what I thought was a water softener installed just over two years ago by a man who couldn't care less about his customers and was extremely rude.

I discovered a leaking pipe in May 2020 & searched Yelp, panicked. This company had great reviews and I'm happy to add to that now.

I sent out multiple inquiries through Yelp late in the evening (nearly 11pm) and Jaime, the owner, quickly replied. He coordinated for a technician to come out the next day.

Gerardo (our technician) arrived with his apprentice Humberto. They were efficient and installed some copper pipes that ran along the ceiling of the garage, and we appreciated that they were careful in cutting the sheetrock to allow for it to be patched up in the future. Gerardo was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I would gladly hire them or recommend them to others in the future!

Great service and easy to pay for the work they completed. I would have liked better communication from the actual plumber or company, because the plumber just showed up without a heads up. They did advise me about a three hour time frame the plumber would arrive which is great but let me know if you are on your way next time. Especially with people working from home, kids and all that. They took pictures of their work and sent me photos as proof which was awesome.

I had a bathroom ceiling leak coming from the upstairs bathroom shower. I called a nearby plumbing company on Yelp to come diagnose and assess the problem. They told me I had to remodel the entire bathroom to fix this problem, I thought this sounded ridiculous. I wanted a second opinion. I quickly called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing afterwards. Eduardo and his team arrived almost immediately and discovered the root problem through his examination. Turns out, I only needed to repair a hot water pipe.

Eduardo and his team were thorough, efficient, and performed a Fantastic job. He even provided me with excellent plumbing education that would help protect my home in the future as well, which I found very helpful. The work he performed took about an 2 hours. He was masked, gloved, and ready for any type of work. He even made sure that any mess that he made was cleaned it up as well.

We worked with Fantastic Rooter and the behest of our Realtor. We needed to get our bathtub replaced pretty quickly as we were getting ready to sell our house. They came out to our house, were very professional and said they'd get back to us with a quote within a short period of time.

Initially we didn't receive anything. It took more than a week until we did receive the quote. During that time I did not get any updates directly from them without me initiating the conversation (this communication issue was continuous throughout the project).

We had asked for the quote to show the various line items of the project, including replacement of the bathtub, the faucet, fixing the sheet rock, and flooring if it was necessary. The quote did not specifically call out these line items at all an didn't include amounts for the sheet rock or flooring.

I received the quote and decided to move forward with them as it seemed like a reasonable price and we were in a bit of a hurry. I accepted the quote online and did not hear back from them. I had to call to actually schedule the work for them to come out (though the quote site specifically says they will call you).

They came out and did the work, making sure to clean up when they were done. They did a pretty good job at getting everything done even though there were some issues with materials getting here on time (not their fault).

When the job was done the sheet rock wasn't repaired and there was a large hole on the ground where they had removed the part that was connecting the flooring to the tub. Before they left I asked if they would be able to do some simple/quick repair so that the tub could be used and so that it would look nice when we listed it. The person that was here said they could do that and for me to schedule time with the office after we got the house painted (which was happening the following week).

I paid them the full value of the quote that day, but I received a call from the office as well as the person from the site saying the charge did not go through. It was clear on my bank statement that it did and it eventually showed up on theirs. When I asked them about coming back out to do the simple repair that I asked he noted that he spoke with his manager (Jaime) and would not be able to come out and do the repair as it isn't their specialty and they didn't want to do a bad job. I was very clear that I didn't care if it looked beautiful, as long as it was functional. They still refused to do the work, so we ended up having to pay someone last minute to put something in place (also didn't look great).

Overall they did a fine job on the replacement of the tub, but their communication was awful, and the part at the end where they wouldn't do something simple to help us out left an awful taste.

When you have Fantastic in your name you better be good! These guys are really really good and I am very thankful for finding them. Monday night a valve in our bathroom had failed and water was streaming out. We had to turn off the water to the house to stop it. I sent out an urgent request for service through Yelp and Jaime responded. He dispatched Brian to resolve our issue. Brian is very patient, professional, helpful, and just a really nice person.

We agreed the entire valve needed to be replaced. I was expecting this to take 2-3 days. You know how it goes. They assess the issue, have to order the parts, and then return at a later date to fix it. Here I am thinking how are we going to get by without water for 2-3 days. That's when Brian informed me he could have it fixed today. He will called the parts and spent the remainder of the day doing his plumbing thing. The end result it was fixed in one trip due to the outstanding efforts of Brian and his team. I very much appreciate it.

Was it cheap. No. Was it fair. Yes. That is all I expected. I will use them for my next plumbing need and I will definitely be referring them. Thanks for the Great Work and the Great Customer Service!

Same day service and we couldn't have been more pleased. Gerardo replaced our leaky spout in the shower/bathtub and it was heavenly to take a shower without half of the water being wasted and it's so much more quiet now!

Too expensive for a 10 mins job. Technician came to see the site. I was told he need to replace the gaskits at joints and some portions of the under sink drain pipe.

Eventually only 2 rubber gaskits were replaced and with the existing pipes and other fixtures was kept.

They charged me 155$ for a 10 min work. Regret getting work done by them.

Not sure how long the temporary fix will hold on and if they will come back to fix if it leaks again when money making is the only motive of this business.

Came back from work travel on Sunday night and discovered my water heater was leaking! Called Monday for someone to come out and take a look at my situation. They were able to get me in the same day but it didn't work with my schedule. So someone came out today and advised that I needed a new unit plus I had water damage on my flooring. They were able to fit me in the same day to remove and install a new unit. Eduardo and his team did an amazing job. They were super knowledgeable, professional, helpful and responsive. We had Brian come to our home to fix a broken pipe under the sink. After SJ water company had done work in the area we were left with a flood of water under the sink. At 430pm I called the office was greeted by very friendly staff and had a tech in route to our home with in the hour. Brian was great, very helpful explained everything that happened ways for us to protect our home in the future.

He replaced all the parts, made sure to check all other sinks in case any other issues came up. He left and we trusted a job was completed and no more stress.

Jaime and Carlos came out to installed a new tankless Rannai water heater. With the recirculating pump. After the previous company took two weeks to try to get anything to work, they saved the day with this new unit.

Los Altos water company informed us that we have a leak, they gave us those pills that you can check the toilets leak and we did, and toilets were fine. we call Fantastic Plumber for help. and Jaime the owner of the company checked every areas in our house using process of elimination and he worked tirelessly to find the leak and he did not gave up and finally he found the source of the leak which was beyond routine thinking, he really went out of his way to locate the leak and what a relief it was. When problem is not routine and is beyond the normal situation Jaime's talent in solving the problem is absolutely fantastic and that put an end to our mystery leak.
We really appreciate all his talent and helps we got. Jaime has been taking car of our homes in Los Alto and San Francisco and our income property.
Jaime have been helping us for over fifteen years and his work is without any complication and we must say that not only he does great work he is really a nice man.

We had issues with our water heater and no matter what my husband did he couldn't get it to stay lit. So we reached out to the professionals to see if they could come out and take a look. Contacted them this morning and they responded quickly and were out quickly. Eduardo came and was able to get it to stay lit, and answered all my questions and gave me honest feedback regarding our water heater. He stayed to make sure it continued to work and gave me his business card if we ran into anymore issues. I'm incredibly pleased and grateful how quickly they responded and how they handled our issue. Will use them again for sure if any new issues arise.

Update: I've had to call this company again for a different issue and got the same exact wonderful treatment as before. I strongly recommend them and will always use them for all our plumbing needs. Eduardo is fantastic!

I had a leaky hose valve. The water was coming from a very corroded nipple that I was hesitant to try repairing myself, because if it broke or was made worse, no water for the entire house until a plumber comes. Fantastic Rooter gave me a bid about half of the other companies and showed up on time. They easily fixed it and the REDUCED my quoted price because it was a quick fix. I likely could have done it, but didn't care to risk it and was quite happy with their work...and I am keeping their business card.

Great family own business, if your looking for honest ppl not ppl that take advantage of older ppl or a single mother they are the company to use. Brain explain everything to me where I was able to understand clearly and showed us great tips to check our toilet water pressure. We were having issue with our toilet being plugged up and we had originally called rooter hero plumbing and they were trying to take advantage of me and my grandmother by over charging thank goodness we got brain second opinion and he was able to tell us that everything was fine didn't need to replace our pipes. We will be using brain and his family going forward. If you need a second opinion or work done contact them their the best.

On 11/20/2017, my mother noticed there was a water leak in the garage coming from our 8 years old water heater. My sister saw Fantastic Rooter Plumbing and she gave them a call at around 0700. Appointment was confirmed and Eduardo arrived on time and was mindful to drive up our driveway without bottoming his work truck. Our driveway is steep and could of possibly damaged his truck and gouged our driveway. I have seen it happen many times to others that drive up our driveway and it irritates me every time when it happens.

First impression of meeting Eduardo, he was professional, personable, and detailed oriented. From my own personal experience, my family and I have been through so many hired home repair technicians claiming they will provide the best results backed by many years of experience, then up selling, and convincing us they are the right people for my home repair needs.

Due to the many negative experiences mentioned above, I was reluctant. I was prepared to get multiple bids for our water heater replacement.

Eduardo explained to me our broken water heater was out of warranty. He then checked the heater to identify the location of the leak and pointed it out to me. At no point did he hassled me for a replacement.

When asked, Eduardo gave me options of a replacement. He explained to me the two options in details and he allowed me to make my own informed decision considering cost, reliability, long-term maintenance by owner or professional technician, and when installation of a new water heater will be completed.

Post one hour of discussion with Eduardo, we contracted him for a tankless water heater replacement. I still had doubts and was fearful of contracting someone to do a job that will cause me a huge headache post installation.

On 12/21/17 installation day, I was not available to be home to monitor the progress as I have spoken to Eduardo the day before, however my mother will be there. My mother, bless her heart, is ignorant of anything in regards to home replair. My mother is intelligent, just that she lacks knowledge of things and situations like this.

Being at work and not able to be there for the install made me feel a bit uneasy. I called my mother at noon for update. She explained to me they are here and will hopefully be done soon (her opinion). At 1600, I messaged my mother for an update and she told me they are still there. Holy Moses, I was thinking to myself, they started at 0900 and are still there at 1600, something must be wrong. I called my mother and Eduardo while I was on the road to figure out what in the hell is going on and my mother told me to come home. Eduardo explained to me that my mother was concerned that the water is not hot enough. My mother wanted water to be Satan's hell hot coming from all the faucets. Eduardo explained to me that he does not feel safe setting the water temperature too high because of children at the house and I agreed.

When I arrived home, I was amazingly surprised with the work done. Photos I have uploaded depicts why it took 3 installers, the length of time it took, and the aftermath of looking like nothing every happened (Eduardo and his crew cleaned up after themselves).

The result is professional installation. Eduardo is professional, honest, and I believe he and his crew are very skilled plumbers with high standards.

I will update this review when Eduardo contacts me in regards to the one thing that still needs to be addressed with this installation (Eduardo mentioned to my mother that he needs to mount the Proflo container on a bracket and that he will be returning to complete it).

My husband called them around noon, Julio was here by 3:30 (he called ahead to confirm arrival). He showed up wearing a mask, and after examining our issue he went to work snaking and drain clearing our kitchen sink. He even checked that the water being flushed out ran all the way to our main line. He even spotted a point in our drainage that he says was too flat and warned us to be careful with the amount and type of food we put in the disposal. Very helpful! Once job was completed and my husband satisfied that it was done completely, they emailed us an invoice (w 3 month work warranty) and I was able to pay online with a credit card. Wasn't cheap but I'm glad to have our kitchen fully functioning again.

I had Eduardo come out and descale my Rinnai tankless water heater. Eduardo was very informative and professional. He went through the method of cleaning and any troubleshooting issues that may arise. It's an easy process, one that I will hopefully be able to do on my own in the future. Our toilets and shower started backing up. I called Fantastic Rooter at 3:30pm and a technician was there by 5pm! They found the problem which ended up needing a whole new sewer pipe for our septic system. They came out the next morning to fix (on time) and had the new pipe installed that day. Everything is working great. Went from problem to fix in less than 24 hours! They are professional, efficient, friendly and did not break my bank! I highly recommend.

I had a leaky faucet and also a broken bath tub faucet and a really old shower head. I scheduled some time with Fantastic rooter and they sent over Brian to look at my faucets and he recommended changing them as there was no way to fix these things. Brian suggested me to take time to find the faucets of my liking and did not force us in any way to get things fixed sooner or with their Company. I really liked Brian's professionalism and the no obligation investigation he did made me want to hire him for the job. So, when I bought the parts, I reached out to Fantastic Rooter and it was really have to have Brian come in install the new faucets and shower head. He also fixed a minor problem with my toilet's flush tank. Overall, I was very pleased with the work Brian did and also I highly recommend his work. He also charged me a very reasonable price for his services.

Eduardo came out after my husband called him for a water leak problem in our front yard. Thankfully it wasn't vandalism but just an old pipe (galvanized) and regulator. Quoted him on the spot and started work right away. He said that Eduardo was very professional and knowledgeable. My husband felt comfortable with his work and our pipes no longer whistle.

This business is the most unprofessional one I have dealt with in recent times. I called their office almost 3 weeks ago to schedule work to be done at a rental property that I own. I spoke with a Jasmine.

They were a no-show and kept my tenant waiting and eventually they ended up rescheduling for the week following. Once again the following week they kept my tenant waiting and did not show.

My tenant and I called them all of last Saturday to find out where they were. Their office did not answer our calls nor did the plumber. Don't let the 5 star reviews fool you. If you value your time do not waste your time with these guys.

Jaime and his team are awesome. I hired Fantastic Rooter to replace a 132 ft 2-gas line that went from the front of the house and all the way to the far side of the backyard. Jaime and his team had to trench a line for the entire distance without breaking the concrete patio,walkway or gas fire pit. This project took a full 4 days and they completed on schedule with no issues. His team showed up on time and stayed late to get the work done on time. I would highly recommend them for any of your small or large projects.

Brian came out on a weekend morning on very short notice because we thought something was wrong with the plumbing. It turned out there was a dead rat in the crawl space (which I had never smelled before). Even though it did not turn out to be a plumbing issue, Brian was very helpful by checking the plumbing, diagnosing the problem and giving us some referrals. Had a great experience with a main line clog that was fixed professionally and the same day I called, even though Brian had to come down from Saratoga and stay late to finish the job. Our garbage disposal locked up and I was thinking the motor was dead. I was quoted a fair price for a new disposal and the labor involved in replacing it, and they had someone over to my house the same day. Turns out the disposal didn't need to be replaced - Eduardo knew exactly what was going on and how to fix it, and gave me a break on the cost because it was such an easy fix. We had a plumbing drain back up issue and called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing in Gilroy. Gerardo responded to our call immediately and set up his first available appointment. He used a camera in diagnosing the issue, showing us what the issue was, roots in the septic line between the house and the first septic tank. In addition, we could see where the line was failing as well. He quoted a very reasonable price and was able to get his crew out the next day and replace over 30 feet of septic line, which was at least 30 inches below the surface. He and his crew took great care of our home, property and our plumbing needs. I would definitely recommend Gerardo Dominguez.

Have two bad shower valves and a broken front hose bib. Eduardo came out and was fabulous. We had old Kohler shower valves and he also noticed our sink faucets were corroded from the hard water. He told me to take pictures of each and call Kohler. They would send me replacements for free. So, no charge for fixing two showers and two sinks!
He then built an entirely new hose bib with a ball valve shutoff. All of this took about an hour. Great folks at Fantastic Rooter. This is the fourth or fifth time I've used their service and I'm never disappointed.

Water heater pilot light would not stay on, made a call to fantastic and they had a tech there within an hour, they were able to diagnose and fix the problem within a few hours and at a very reasonable rate. I thought I would give this business a second chance but I was completely dissatisfied. When I called the female call I taker to schedule an appointment to get a quote or estimate she made an unprovoked derogatory comment about me. Regarding the appointment for the quote/estimate Eduardo arrived at the job site at the scheduled time to get an estimate of plumbing work to be done. But Eduardo was not very good in my opinion as well. When Eduardo arrived he sat in the driveway in his car for 10 minutes and did not even come to the door of the property. I had to go outside and stand outside to get his attention only then did he come out of his minivan. When he came inside as I was going thru the items on my list of things to do he didn't even have a pen and paper to take notes. When he left (2/18/2021 sometime between 9:30 and 10:30 am) Eduardo said to me he would email me the quote today or by tomorrow afternoon. Here it is Friday feb 19th at 5:07 pm and no email with a quote or phone call to my primary contact phone number which they have on file. Eduardo was equally aggressive when he suggested things to do not on my to do list even after I declined.

Our water heater went out, pilot light was off and could not restart it. I called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing to get a quote and availability. Their plumber was busy by the time I got home so I wasn't expecting him to make it the same day, Jasmine assured that he's coming right after he finishes with the job he's currently attending to. Gerardo came out immediately when I noticed excessive humidity in the house. He crawled under the house and found I had a leaking hot water line they was spraying hot steamy water all underneath my house. He was able to come out with his crew and totally replace all the pipes in my house the very next day (and completed the job before sundown!). He was also able to find a HVAC guy to come out the same day and repair some major damage to the duct work.

When you have a backed-up sink flowing out into your showers, you definitely don't want to wait a minute longer than you have to in order to get it fixed. I didn't have to wait AT ALL!

I went on Yelp, read the amazing reviews about Fantastic Rooter, sent them an email at 10pm and by 6am, Jaime had responded and showed up at my house at 8:15am. Problem found and fixed by 8:45am. Gerardo arrived at my home on time and as scheduled he was very cordial. He made me feel comfortable and advised that he was going to have a couple guys come and help him later on. Gerardo is very knowledgeable on plumbing codes and he does not take any shortcuts you can count on him to do it right. Fantastic gets the permit I did not have to worry about it they scheduled inspection with city I don't have to worry about it. Gerardo and his crew make sure the house is picked up and that all appliances are working properly. Last but not least Gerardo meet with me and discussed all that was done explained the paperwork and and warranty. I had three bids and Fantastic was very competitively priced. I feel real good about my gas line replacement job thanks to Fantastic I will recommend them to family and friends.

They were not only very professional they went far beyond what they had to do. The line had sludge in it and closed after the rooter came out. They brought out a large machine towed by the truck to use high pressure to blow out the sludge after dark. They were more than reasonable about the cost. We were saved from a bad situation.

This is the second time I used Fantastic Rooter and I have to say, they are now my plumbing company of choice. First of all, Jamie and his son James were very nice and respectful, however, what impressed us most is how conscientious they were about caring for our home. They were very neat and made sure my tile was well protected. They put things back to where they were and I saw no trace that they had even been there. We called them after hours for a clogged main drain and they were at our home within a reasonable time frame and quickly remedied the issue. We had a large underground pipe that was leaking at a 30 year old coupler. The pipe was 8 feet underground. We contacted 4 contractors and none wanted to touch the job. Meanwhile...we have this leak that is just flowing. Not a good scene and we're seeing no end in sight. On a hunch our job foreman called Jaime. He and his crew were onsite the next day and the repair was done in 4 hours. After weeks of trying to get one of the big guys to come out and do the work...this company jumps on it. I called these guys for a water main line leak (in my front lawn), and Eduardo promptly called me to set up a visit the next day. He called an hour before arrival, advising me of his ETA. He checked out the leak, and explained in great detail all of my options, i.e. repair or replace the line. He explained the scope of work, and patiently answered all my questions. He gathered up his crew, and replaced the water line on a Saturday (during a long holiday weekend). We needed to have our pipes cleared under the house and no one comes out to Hollister to service anymore! We called everywhere and thankfully finally found Fantastic Rooter Plumbing. They were here within an hour and a half and it was towards the end of the day when we called in. The gentleman that showed up (I forgot his name) but he said to my husband that his uncle owns the company - he was very professional and friendly and most importantly, he was patient. He had to explain to my husband and then to me again what he was going to do and why the cost would be so much and what to expect. It was expensive, however, I appreciate that he took an aggressive approach to how he was going to do the job ( Which is why it would cost more) because that is how we needed to get the job completed. He took the time to educate and explain how things work and was very understanding and patient even though it was getting dark and I would imagine that it was his last stop and he probably wanted to get home. I mentioned that to him and he kindly replied Not at all, this is what we are here for I will say that they are not going to be your cheapest option, but like I say in my own business, You pay for what you get We had payed a cheaper cost prior, however, it didn't solve the issue and the person that did it prior didn't take the time to assess the situation and know exactly how to solve it. It's always tough to find a good plumber, particularly one that will actually show up to make the estimate. We needed to do some plumbing alterations for our older home, in order to complete the installation of a modern toilet. Fantastic Rooter was the first company to call back, and the only company to come on-site for the inspection. Eduardo returned a few days later to do the work, and completed it for the original estimate amount, even though it took longer than he had planned to do the work. He was also kind enough to help me install the new toilet once the alterations were finished, at no extra charge. He was extremely polite, and took extra care to clean up after the job. We had a recurring problem with a leaking kitchen sink after our remodel. The contractor pretty much screwed up all of our kitchen appliances when he reinstalled them. Frustrating, to say the least! That's why Eduardo from Fantastic Rooter was such a godsend... He repaired the leak right after the remodel, was extremely friendly, explained everything he needed to do, and got it taken care of. Four months later it started leaking again. Not only did he come back after hours to help us out, he didn't charge us for the second visit. Since the drain install was done improperly by the contractor, it seems we may run into this problem from time to time. He showed my husband how to do the quick and easy repair himself and even left us with a tool to do it. Amazing! Talk about service going above and beyond...

I went a month and a half without a plumber to complete the water heater installation. The reason for the long delays was because most plumbers who promised to come by to look at what I have, and no-show. Finally in 1 week, I had Jaime and another plumber came by and look at my water heater configuration. In the end, I chose Jaime, because he sounded like he knew what he was doing (with suggestions and such) and his price was just as competitive as the other one. He finally came by yesterday to do the work and it was beautifully done. I am very happy that I chose Jaime to do the work. Almost 2 months later, finally the installation is complete. This is for my electric tankless water heater. Paying by credit card was easy too via his phone.

We tried everything on our own to clear it - drano, disconnecting the pipes and manually cleaning them, etc. and nothing seemed to work. In fact, the slow drain got WORSE! Finally we decided to just get some professional help, which led us to Fantastic Rooter. It is definitely slim pickings out in the Gilroy area.

The customer service was perfect and the technician was able to squeeze us into his schedule right away. After calling their office the technician showed up at our house a couple of hours later! Eduardo was extremely polite, very helpful and professional. He got to the root of the problem right away and was in and out in no more than 30 minutes! He not only gave us some tips on inexpensive monthly maintenance but he also was kind enough to give us a discount since my mom (who is a senior citizen) was paying for the service.

Our household definitely considers Fantastic Rooter our go-to plumbing contact and are happy to know that they are licensed to perform a wide array of plumbing services! If you are in the Gilroy area and are in need of a plumber give Fanatastic Rooter a call, you won't be disappointed!

Jaime one of the owners made himself available within 24 hours of our call. Other plumbers quoted us days or weeks before they could visit our home and give us an estimate. We had at times 5 servicemen working at our house for 3 days replacing the main water line which was leaking along with a major break in a sprinkler line. All of the workmen were extremely courteous, explained the challenges and continued to work so that our lives were not going to inconvenienced any longer than necessary.
They replaced all of the dirt and plants and we did a final walk through before they departed to insure all the replacement lines were working as expected.
I would highly recommend Fantastic Rooter. Wish there were more contractors like this group.

Jaime came out to clear a blockage of our master toilet. It turned out the builder of our year old home had dropped 3 inch test cap down the pipe that was causing the issue. The cap was stuck behind a 90 degree bend so it was difficult to reach but Jaime and his assistant were eventually able to use a snake to dislodge it and get everything working again. He is a great guy and his price was extremely reasonable considering the complexity involved to finally clear the blockage.

I will definitely be calling on them again should I ever need a plumber in the future.

They really are FANTASTIC! It was easy to schedule an estimate to have our hot water heater replaced (super old an still working; just wanted to get a new one). Eduardo came out and quickly provided an estimate - which was the least expensive that I had received and I felt confident about their warranty for labor (1 year).

A few months later we called them back and they held up their price from the estimate. They easily scheduled the install at our convenience. Called the day before to make sure we were ready. Even though Eduardo was about 30 minutes later then expected, he and his colleague were very friendly, and got he install done within 3 hours. They cleaned up after and were so easy to work with.

Additionally, the office was a delight to speak with - always friendly and always pick up the phone or called me right back!

For sure I would recommend them and if needed, use them again myself!

Great company and great team, starting from the person in charge of answering the phone and scheduling to the plumbers that come out. It seems most of the team are brothers, which is great because they all care about the success of their business.
I had a unusual gas breaker piece to mount downstream from my gas meter and I was a bit worried about the various guidelines around the installation of the component. Also in general I am suspicious and picky when it comes to work done by contractors, I like things done cleanly and precisely. But my worries quickly went away when they started working. They clearly know what they are doing, they are calm, professional and patient, and they listen to your concerns and requests. They got the job done perfectly, without any trials and error and they were courteous and smiled all the way.
So I give them 5 stars and I will definitely give them a call next time I need a professional plumber. They have earned a good chunk of my trust in this one job!

WOW!!! Worth more than 5's !!! I'd give 20's with 100% customer satisfaction!!
Few days ago I saw a golf ball size bubble on my kitchen ceiling in my two story house. Today it was a basketball size and now I knew something had to be done!! This is when I always turn to YELP! Mind you I had called 2 other plumbers who didn't even call me back at all!! Based on Fantastic Rooter Plumbing's which was my 3rd call for a plumber I gave them a call. Jasmine who is very nice answers my call and takes my info. She says she has Eduardo in the area and will call to notify him if he can come by and give me estimate. As I was waiting for her phone call, Eduardo actually showed up at my house!! They are quick!! Eduardo and his partner Gerardo politely introduced themselves to me and my husband. I let them in and show them what was going on. Eduardo and Gerardo had to do some investigation, so they kinda got a work out too going up and down the stairs. Less than 10minutes Eduardo says here's the plan... gave me my plan about what needs to be done and only estimate costs. Eduardo needs to cut into the ceiling to find out the real problem and then give me my real costs for repair. As he was cutting into my ceiling I was praying it wasn't going to be bad as it looked.. THANK GOODNESS Eduardo found the hairpin leak and he and Gerardo were able to fix it right there and then!!!! I'm soooooooo THANKFUL that Eduardo and Gerardo were quick since the beginning, they put on shoe covers, Eduardo was very upfront with everything and both very Nice and very careful of my kitchen!! Eduardo even cleaned up the floor after himself!! Thank you Eduardo and Gerardo for fixing my leak before it got worse! We called yesterday to solve a blockage and do a little pipe work. Eduardo was out maybe 90 minutes later. He gave me estimates before starting the work, two based on where the blockage may be. He cleared the blockage and did a complete re-pipe under the kitchen sink. I am pretty handy and fix almost everything myself, but in this case the sink blocks up at least once a year. He made a few excellent changes to how it was piped so that it can be serviced more easily in the future. Price was reasonable but that is never my priority. I wanted it done in the best possible manner, and done same-day. He did both and I am very pleased with the result. I paid cash but be aware they may charge a little more for using credit card.

We believed we had a leak under our slab foundation but could not confirm because we were not seeing any water spilling out or damage. We reached out on Yelp for people who could specialize in leak detection but had a bunch of responses of people that just wanted to come out for quotes without any idea of what was happening. Jaime called me and after a conversation made a recommendation for a leak specialist that he works exclusively with and trusts. He didn't push his services and had the number ready when he called. This was fantastic service and the recommendation turned out to be the best way forward. We found the leak in 10 minutes, and within 2 hours Jaime had someone out to cap the line and stop the leak. Pricing was totally reasonable (I didn't quote multiple companies because Jaime proved he deserved the business with his recommendation). Total time onsite was maybe an hour. Super professional. Multiple people were in touch with me throughout, and what i thought would be a multi-thousand dollar repair turned out to be something significantly less. After dealing with a fraudulent plumbing company I read the great reviews for Fantastic Plumbing and asked for someone out to come and check the line for a possible blockage.
The service man Gerardo was polite and professional. After checking everything he told me my lines were clear and would not need flushing at this time. This was a huge relief since the other company told me it would cost $5000 to fix a bulge in the line. This was after they had charged me $2600 to clear and scope the line.
Gerardo did not charge me for coming to give me his opinion. Jasmine, who answers the phone, was also professional and called to let me know what time he would arrive.
I will use this company whenever I need plumbing service. They are the best!

Reliable, honest and informational! Eduardo came out to fix what we thought were frozen shut-off valves underneath the bathroom sink, in order to fix a leak in the faucet. He was able to turn them however, so no work there. Then he advised us to call the faucet manufacturer to ask for the part needed (for free) in order to fix the leak. Then we asked about the water softener. He inspected the unit, explained his experience with the brand, advised us to call and ask about the warranty. He was very personable, very very helpful in explaining what we could do at no cost and what he could do when we got the parts. We're so happy to find a plumber we can trust and recommend! So I don't write my yelp reviews to ever get compensated or to have anything reversed. I write them so that others know my honest experience with whatever establishment I deal with. After I wrote my initial review, Fantastic Rooter Plumbing contacted my husband and apologized for the experience we had. They did not cash my $40 check and they issued us a check for $125 for the amount we were out to a different plumber. Jaime has been our go-to guy for the last few years. Why go anywhere else when he & his crew do the job in a fast & efficient manner? It's rare to find someone who actually returns phonecalls within minutes. Seriously--think about it. How many times have you called to hire someone for a repair and it takes them hours or days to even return the call, let alone fix the problem? Jaime and his crew are the best. I recommend them without reservation. Here's why:
I needed an on-demand hot water heater at my commercial kitchen. A friend recommended Jaime, and he came all the way to Emeryville to look at and bid the job. His advice was great, and his bid stellar. He put in a superior unit for a very reasonable price, dealt with my many obstacles with patience and good humor. He had to wait a month between the initial work and final installation, for someone to move out of the apartment above me since we needed entry to that space. When moving delays finally ended, we had a one-day window, on a Saturday. He and his crew worked all day and into the night, to complete the job before the new tenant arrived.

The unit he installed has a remote control, so we can wake it up instantly when we need it and let it sleep otherwise.

Finally, we had a problem a month later-one day the hot water just stopped. We had 30 people coming for breakfast the next morning followed by kids culinary summer camp all day. Jaime drove up at the end of his work day to deal with the problem, which turned out to be a manufacturing defect, where a piece of metal from a machined part inside the housing had dislodged and ended up in the sensor, keeping it from working. He not only came immediately and fixed it quickly, but, unlike other companies, he answers his phone--no waiting.

One more thing: my HVAC/refrigeration guy, a very knowledgeable expert who was facilities mgr. at Pixar for 8 years, took a look at the water heater installation and said to me this guy is a master craftsman. He pointed out all the things that were done right, that most plumbers don't bother with.

Jaime is a gentle, friendly, honest and excellent plumber. I can't recommend him higher than 5 stars, Yelp won't let me --but if I could, I would give him about 10.

We had a leak in our master bathroom upstairs and starting leaking through our kitchen ceiling. My husband had to shut off the main water and we need to get a plumber since we couldn't turn the water back on. What can I say? Jaime and his employee who installed our tankless water heater did an excellent job! We decided that we wanted a tankless system and heard that Rinnai was the best. The closest dealers were either in Monterey or Gilroy, I called both and left messages. Only Fantastic Rooter returned my call.

We had been without hot water for about a week and a half at this point and we were getting a little frustrated, and kind of stinky! I spoke with the receptionist on Monday afternoon to set up a consultation and free estimate. That night, after having worked all day long, and despite a 45 minute drive in each direction, the owner, Jaime came out to the house at 7 PM. We discussed our various options and while we were expecting to do the install indoors, he suggested doing the exterior installation. He could have easily gone along with our expectations and made himself a lot more money. Instead, he took the honest route and would save a ton!

He and his employee showed up on time, and they would have finished the job on time had his supplier not sent the part to the wrong location. I should mention a brief shout out to the Salinas Fergusons as they corrected their mistake by sending someone on a four hour round trip to pick up the part!

The installation is clean, and the water is hot!Thanks Jaime and fantastic rooter, you guys have a customer for life. I hope you don't mind the drive to Salinas!

Our water heater started leaking internally recently and it was clear that we needed to replace it. We got three different bids and ended up going with Fantastic Rooter. While I have to admit I was shocked a bit by the price tag, FRP was in line with other and with advice I received from a friend in the business. In every other aspect we were extremely pleased with the work done. Eduardo was extremely responsive and very knowledgeable about the options. He worked with us until we had the solution best suited to our needs and still got the job done the day after we agreed on the details. He and his crew worked hard all day and completed the work in a very professional way. All of the modifications look clean and well implemented. The area was left much cleaner than when they arrived, as well. We have used Fantastic Rooter on two occasions. The first time it was because one of our toilets was stopped up. They came out and fixed it in less than two hours at a reasonable cost. The second time we had flooding in our kitchen and it turned out to be the purified water dispenser on our sink, which had to be replaced. I called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing based on its superb Yelp ratings and comments and was delighted with the results. After a short wait while the phone rang, I got a recorded message asking me to leave my name and number. Within 10 minutes, a pleasant and efficient lady returned my call, and we arranged for a Fantastic Rooter plumber to visit our house. A few days later and on time, Eduardo showed up. After putting dust covers over his shoes, Eduardo entered our house, inspected the source of our plumbing problem (leaking water faucets in our washing machine outlet box), gave me a very reasonable estimate to replace the box, and fixed an appointment to do the work. At the agreed-upon date and time, Eduardo showed up, again put dust covers over his shoes, and carefully and efficiently replaced the old outlet box with a new state-of-the-art box (an Oatey box with quarter-turn brass ball valves and water hammer arrestors). When he finished the work, Eduardo cleaned the work area thoroughly. At my request, he then inspected the plumbing under our kitchen sink. Finding that the pipe from the garbage disposal had been installed incorrectly, he installed a new pipe at no charge.

On a Friday morning our water heater just died. I was not able to relight the pilot light - so I called Fantastic Rooter around 1 PM. Got an appointment for the same day and Gerardo arrived to analyze and fix the problem.
He did not have the correct parts with him, so he improvised a solution that would provide us with hot water right away. He then advised me on how to obtain the correct parts from the manufacturer for free (the water heater was still under parts warranty) and promised to come back and install the correct parts for no additional charges. And that is what he did.
During the whole process communications was excellent. I got several calls back from the office to keep me updated on status, and Gerardo called me from his cell to update me on a changed arrival time.
Gerardo was very professional, seemed to be very knowledgeable and was always courteous. As far as I can judge, he did excellent work.
Overall, I was very impressed with the process. I would highly recommend Fantastic Rooter Plumbing.

From HomeAdvisor to project completion, it only took less than two days for an non-emergency request. Furthermore, they replaced an old flex pipe of toilet water intake free of charge two days later, even though they only replaced toilet's angle stop valve, and it was arguably not covered by the warranty. I had called our previous plumbing company in San Jose for my mom's rental and they couldn't come out for 2 weeks. I had used them for the passed 4-5 years. This was a simple water leakage at the kitchen sink, causing watcher to sit on granite counters. It needed a new faucet. I called a few companies and Fantastic Rooter called back and put me in touch with Geraldo within an hour. He went out that afternoon and told me the problem and price. He gave me the option of looking into the faucets he offered and said I could choose my own. He guided me on the quality of the faucets and I chose another one and he installed that one which he said was a very good model and company and good price. Because I am in Santa Cruz he spent a lot of time on the phone helping me locate what I wanted. He did the work and my tenants said he was very nice and knowledgeable and worked with their schedule.

Fantastic Rooter installed a new water heater for me. Eduardo was great to work with. He offered a couple of options, priced each and answered all my questions. He also suggested that I check to see if the old water heater was still under warranty which would save me some money - it wasn't, but it was very nice of Eduardo to suggest it. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the work they did. They were on time, the work was completed in the timeframe given, upgrades were done to bring the job up to code and they cleaned up. Eduardo was patient when answering all my questions about how the water heater operated and how to shut it down in case of an emergency.

I highly recommend Eduardo and Fantastic Rooter. I think the highest praise you can give a service provider is that you were so satisfied with the job, that you'd rehire them. I will definitely rehire Eduardo for my plumbing needs in the future. Great job!

It is completely frustrating when you're having a great weekend and a kitchen sink clog out of no where, threatens to ruin it. You immediately begin to dread the mess, the smell, the cost of fixing it. Not to mention the pain of finding a plumber to come to your house on a Saturday evening, and their after hours/emergency rates. The first plumber we called charged $200 p/hr!
Fantastic Rooter saved the day! They listened to our issue, told us most likely solutions, and how much each would cost. No additional after hours charges, and they could be here in about 45 minutes.
Eduardo arrived in about 20 minutes, and determined very quickly he could clear the clog with the less expensive option. He was completely professional, and done in 30 minutes. No mess, no smell, and the cost was reasonable with a 3 month warrantee. We highly recommend Fantastic Rooter, and will be calling them again if we need our day saved from a plumbing issue again.

I discovered a leak in the wall from my kitchen sink drain. I looked on Yelp and found Fantastic Rooter immediately. The reviews were great. I called Monday morning and spoke to Jaime. He was able to send someone out that evening.

Eduardo came out, put the shoe covers on before walking into the house (not expected). He located where the pipe was leaking, behind a cabinet. He told me I'd save money if I cut out the cabinet myself, which I did the next day.

I texted pictures of the broken pipe fitting to Jaime. He texted back a quote within 15 minutes. We scheduled the work for 7am the next day. Eduardo and his helper showed up at exactly 7am. Again, both wore shoe covers before entering the house. It took only 45 minutes for the repair. It was a clean and professional job. There was no mess left behind, and Eduardo answered all my questions.

This company acted and responded in a very professional manner. When I called the phone, it was always answered by a live person. My text messages were returned quickly as well. I highly recommend this company for any plumbing issues you may have.

I have had 2 experiences with Eduardo, Jaime and Fantastic Rooter so far, both times have been exceptional. As noted by many other reviewers, calls are answered and appointments are scheduled promptly, the technicians protect your area, they are very respectful and friendly. They are happy to give advice and talk about your issue. You can tell they really value relationships and value their customers, which seems to be rare in the trade industry. Also, on one of the service calls my technician was going to be late, but the office called to let me know and kept me posted with status updates - very good service.

One plumber told me I would have to re-plumb my entire shower, but Jaime laughed and said no; a short visit later he had replaced the faulty part and repaired my shower for a fraction of the cost.

I really value the honesty and integrity displayed by everyone so far at Fantastic Rooter. I will absolutely use them for all of my plumbing needs going forward, and continue to recommend them to my friends.

Top notch plumbers! Had an issue with a toilet leak and also a bad toilet fill valve. At the recommendation of our contractor, called Jaime of Fantastic Rooter. He wasn't able to make it so he had Gerry (Gerardo) come out to take a look. He was able to quickly detect the source of the leak (wax seal) and fixed it. Also, looked at the fill valve. He didn't have the exact same valve but one that was similar. He installed it but due to the shape of the new valve, the tubing placement wasn't ideal. He tried a bunch of different configurations for the tubing but it still didn't work. So we decided to have him order the new valve from the toilet company and he would come back to reinstall (which would require pulling up the whole toilet again). He didn't charge me at all for the visit as the toilet wasn't fixed yet. The valve was backordered so it took a while to get it. But when he got it, he contacted us to set up a time to reinstall. Our work schedules were pretty busy so he actually came in on a Sunday afternoon to reinstall the valve. It required pulling the whole toilet up again but there were never any complaints. Gerardo did an outstanding job and was extremely pleasant and professional the whole time. Never thought I'd enjoy meeting and talking to a plumber but I really enjoyed working with Gerardo. Excellent work and service!

I needed a plumber to check out a waterspot on the ceiling of my dining room - right underneath the shower in the master bathroom.

I yelped for a plumber and found Jaime. He was available to come by the next day, arrived on time. He diagnosed a leaking shower pan and also tested the installed jet tub for leaks (luckily none), all for a reasonable fee. Happy with his work, I invited him to bid on my upcoming bathroom remodel and selected him based on his quote. Jaime was very responsive, and kept patiently answering my questions regarding the plumbing hardware and accessories that I needed to order for the remodel.

When the contractors were ready for him, Jaime was able to work with the overall remodel schedule, arrived on time and installed all valves, pipes, faucets and miscellaneous other hardware together with his team. I was happy to see that they really took time to do the job right, staying late both times to install everything properly. Not only did they do great work, they also cleaned up after themselves!

We'll hire Jaime again for any plumbing projects, and recommend him highly!

We first called upon Jaime and Fantastic Rooter in Dec. 2009 to install our tankless water heater. Everything went smoothly. The price was fair. Jaime responded quickly (within 24 hours) when a few minor adjustments were needed. Since then, we've called upon him for 3 other plumbing problems, including a major repair to the main water line running into the house. He is ALWAYS courteous, responds quickly, and does a super job! Highly Recommend!!!!

Be Very careful with this company. I had them out to give me an estimate on finishing up a bathroom in my house. Everything was already roughed in, it was just the finish work and tying in the plumbing under the house. I am a HVAC contractor and own my own business so I know how it is with some of the smaller jobs, that there isn't a lot of money to be made on them. This however does not excuse giving an estimate for 3.5 X the amount of another company that ended up finishing the work. Fantastic Rotter quoted me $2200 and told me it would take a crew all day to complete. I had the work done today by another company they had the work done before noon and only charged $600... If you don't want the work I understand be honest don't try to overcharge so you can make up for the rest of your day. I urge anyone reading this get more than one estimate for your work. I don't like writing negative reviews because I know how they can affect a company, but I dislike dishonest companies even more.

This is long overdue.... We needed to have our sewer line replaced. One of my neighbors had theirs done a month or two earlier. I went and asked for a business card. I liked the way they worked, and so decided to use them when it was time to replace mine. I called them and Jaime came. He quoted a reasonable price. I have to tell you, it was the best decision we made. They came, dug and replaced the sewer line and finished in less than 4 hours!! And I have to say we have been clogged free for more than a year. Horrible customer service. I had Eduardo come and check my toilet. He was supposed to be at my house by 3 pm. He did not show up until 6pm. I let that one go. He told me I needed new toilets. I purchased 2 new toilets. I called and set up an appointment that was convenient for them. I let them pick the date and time. Eduardo was supposed to be at my house between 2 and 3 p.m.. At 3:30 I called and said no one showed up. The woman told me she would call Eduardo and call me right back. At 4 p.m. I called her back and only got voice mail for the next 1/2 hour. Finally I was able to talk to hear at 4:30 and told her to cancel my appointment. Horrible,Horrible customer service. Will not do business with them if this is the way they treat new customers.

Fantastic Rooter came out after hours on 20 minute notice to help us with a plumbing emergency. Eduardo fixed it on the spot, and it wasn't a simple fix. The area where he worked was cleaner after he left than before. All in all, very professional job! The company actually has a person who answers the phone, not voicemail. And she was extremely helpful in tracking getting someone out to help us! We found our new go-to plumber!

I used this company last week to do two projects: replace a kitchen faucet and the shutoff valves for the faucet, and to redo the main water shutoff valve, regulator, and hose bib. They returned my Sunday message promptly on Monday morning and were able to come out that day. Eduardo told me he would need parts to do the main shutoff, and also suggested brands for the new faucet that I would need to get. He was supposed to return the next day to finish the work, but a previously scheduled job ran long. The office called as soon as they knew he could not be out that day and rescheduled for first thing the next day. I was flexible with my scheduling that week, so it all worked out. Eduardo was very polite, and explained all the work he was doing before he did it. Great experience, I would use them again.

Fantastic Rooter came to my rescue.

Jaime sent his team to fix a problem I had.
Not only am I impressed with the pricing on the project, but the office staff communicated well with me for scheduling, the work was done to perfection, they came up with some ideas to save me additional money, and the workers left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived.

I am pretty sure they fixed a runny toilet (at no cost) while they were there as well!!

I could not be happier with the service. I will recommend them to all, and will certainly use them for any future plumbing needs I have.

This review may or may not reflect the skill and quality of the plumbing service but the unprofessionalism of the dispatcher. My parents, in their 80's notified me that they had an issue with their water pressure where it would drop intermittently almost to a trickle. As they look to me to help them to find the right service, I pointed them to Fantastic Rooter. When I checked with them later in the day to see if they were able to get someone out (or at least schedule an appointment) they told me that the dispatcher was unprofessional and rude, said she (the dispatcher) needed to call the commissioner whatever that means, then said plumber would be out the next day. No appointment was setup as the dispatcher seems eager to get my parents off the call to deal with whatever else was going on, apparently much more important than customer service. In any case, I will be contacting someone else to get the problem solved.

Well I would love to be able to rate Fantastic Rooter's service, however they never called me back to confirm a time for service.

Fantastic Rooter was recommended for my plumbing problem in the Gilroy area,
I called and spoke with Jaime. I had a job that needed immediate attention.

Jaime told me that he could do the job, and that he would call me back in 10 minutes to tell me when he would be able to come. I waited 30 minutes, then called him back, I left a voicemail, then after 30 more minutes, I called him again.

No call back from Jaime to date. He really left me in a jam. The property I own is occupied by tenants.

Wow!! Am I glad I called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing to help. Earlier in the day I had another rooter company out to clear a clog in my main sewer line. After this other company was unable (more like unwilling) to successfully remove the clog - they wanted me to put in an unnecessary clean-out at 2 1/4 the going rate. I then called Fantastic Rooter Plumbing. Jaime Olvera was my technician and I cannot say enough good things about how he handled the situation. I explained everything that had been done including having the City out to clear the line from the existing clean-out to the sewer main. After I explained everything Jaime decided to use his camera and found no clogs. You read that right, the first guy got the clog removed but showed me the water backing up in the toilet drain. I was told not to use the toilet or anything associated in that bathroom until they could come back the next day to install this device. Jaime also put in a better connector for our toilet since the existing flange was too short and he caulked the toilet when he re-seated it. The previous guy just flung the old caulk into my backyard and didn't re-caulk when he was finished. Jaime also discounted my job since I had been through such an ordeal. I will definitely be using and referring Fantastic Rooter Plumbing to any friends who are in need of these services. Also, thank you to Jasmine in the office for being persistent in getting hold of Jaime who was likely under a house when she tried calling him She kept calling him every 10 minutes until he answered. I appreciate her diligence!! Thank you Jaime and Jasmine!! Great teamwork!!

Great Service! I woke up one day only to find we no hot water. Not knowing who to call I took a chance on Fantastic Rooter based on the Yelp reviews. My call to them was immediately answered and Jaime was at my house within 1.5 hours of placing the call. Jaime was very pleasant and was able to diagnose and fix the problem within 30 minutes of arriving. We will definitely use them again in the future without hesitation!

Jaime was the first person to call and give me a quote for a fairly big project. His quote was not the lowest but it was very detailed about the parts he was going to use and the complete cost. He was very responsive on the phone and answered the questions i had before the project started. He arrived promptly on the day the work was scheduled and finished it. Very clean job.

My experience was EXCELLENT! We don't know anything about plumbing, nor the costs involved. Jaime came to my home and told me about Kohler products, that they send replacement parts out for free. He could of charged me for the replacement parts plus the labor. Jaime was very honest and for that, I will refer Fantastic Rooter to my family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. He has a customer for life.
