Willow Glen Electric Electrician
They installed 60amp for my Tesla charging station which is what I was quoted on and what I paid for. However, on the day of the city inspection, I was told the amp will be reduced to 50. There were plenty of time to correct and inform me about this mistake, but they choose to tell me 30 minutes before the city inspector showed up. Not acceptable. Stay away

Simply Electric Electrician
After our kitchen remodel December 2021, we decided to hire an electrician to take a look at several electrical issues with our home: the tripping of our kitchen circuit, and the inexplicable tripping of our bathroom circuit despite a recent breaker change. Our contractor for the kitchen job recommended Minh, the person behind Simply Electric. Minh was professional in his response to our request for a consultation, explaining upfront what to expect in terms of cost for an initial evaluation, as well as the potential causes of the electrical issues associated with our 44-year old home. When he arrived, he practiced COVID safety protocols, and with an assistant, began to assess voltage of our circuits. He was attentive to the details of our recent electrical experiences and he recommended splitting our kitchen circuit to 4 circuits, as well as separating our bathroom circuit and upgrading one so that we could safely use an electrical heater in the cold winter months. He also addressed an issue we had with flickering of our family room LED lights that we recently installed into our canned recessed lighting. (He advised that was likely because the original dimmer switches were incompatible with LED lights).

Minh is a licensed electrician with an electrical engineering degree and he stands by his work. He took the time to go over options and explain what to expect in terms of cost. We decided to hire him to upgrade our circuit breaker panel (which is now capable of handling an electrical vehicle charger, if needed), split our kitchen and bathroom circuits, upgrade the wiring for several circuits, and swap out the dimmer switches (which was the cure for the flickering LED alights). He came back the following week and spent about 8 hours with an assistant to complete the job.

We haven't had any electrical issues since Minh completed the work, plus he was thorough and his recommendations were on target. We appreciate and trust his work and abilities, and we look forward to hiring him back to install recessed lighting in our living room and bedrooms.

We highly recommend Minh and his business, Simply Electric.

Electrica Electrician
I needed a tesla charger to be installed and went through yelp. Electrica reached out immediately and asked to schedule a consultation the very next day. Nick promptly showed up on the agreed time and after discussing my options, he gave a very modest estimate on the installation. The very next day he came in to install my charger which took 6 hours. Even though it was one of the hottest days in the month in san jose. He still worked through the blistering sun to get my charger installed. He also flagged some electrical safety hazards that I was not aware about since I was renting this home. He provided suggestions and alternatives to mitigate the situation. I would 100% hire these guys as they are very professional, quick, and responsive at all times.

Dan Matthews Electric Electrician
I stumbled upon some electrical issues when i was trying to replace a fountain pump and emailed three companies. Dan was the only one who called back. We originally set up an appointment without scheduling the time of day. When i tried to contact him later about a time, i was worried because i did not receive a reply. I found out later he wasn't well and so that one gets a pass. . .

He is Covid-safe, is professional, diagnosed the problem, installed a GFI and made a couple more recommendations about my options for the circuit in question. I asked if i could tag along behind him so i could learn and he had no problem with this.

Then we went up in the attic where i had some Romex cable that was poorly routed. He quickly fixed this, making sure everything was done professionally (keeping the new junction box in an out of the way location, routing the new cable and securing it, etc.). He does good work.

The price was a bit higher than others i had contacted but for the service, I'll take that any day. Thanks Dan!

Fast Handy Electric Electrician
I'm a true DIY homeowner, however, I do know my limitations. One of the jobs is electrical installation. That being said, I bought a new milling machine and air compressor that needed 220 installed in my garage. I found Edwin on yelp and gave him a call to come out and give me a bid. Edwin came to my house right away and checked out what I needed. My wife also had some lights and the plug that she wanted installed. Edwin is a fantastic electrician! He is very knowledgeable, personable, actionable and very detail oriented. While he was up in my attic running some wires he noticed that someone had left a bare hot wire exposed. He took care of that at no charge protecting me and my family from a possible attic fire. What an awesome Guy. Not only did he fix the error, he noticed that my machine in my garage didn't have adequate light so he suggested installing LED lights above my work station.  So he came back the next day with all the equipment needed to install LED and had the job completed in no time at all. He is a very reasonable Electrician with regards to price.  One more thing, when he was in my boys room installing the plug, he noticed one of the baseboards was loose. He came up to me and asked if I would mind if he took his power nail gun and fasten the baseboard. Edwin goes above the job. I have been looking for a good electrician for about a year. Now I'm happy to say that I have my electrician and his name is Edwin! I would highly recommend Edwin to all my family and friends. Furthermore, I will be calling Edwin back to wire my wife's new she shed. Thank you Edwin for all your good work!

JR Electric Electrician
David and team area as good as it gets. Professional, on time, fast and price competitive. I used them to rewire my whole kitchen during a remodel and to install recessed lighting around the house. They came the day they promised, they finished on time and they left the work site pristine. He also troubleshoot a faulty breaker without charging me, just because they were already there working on something else! Also, easy to contact, which is becoming increasingly rare in an environment where contractors have so much work. I will definitely use them again and wholeheartedly recommend to any of my friends.

CS Electric Electrician
Kyle was excellent in communication from the beginning! His friend Bruno did the work and was an awesome and focused guy.
He told me exactly what to expect, was patient with my questions and very professional. The power was out for about 2.5 hours but the job itself required to cut the drywall and install a bigger panel and replace all old twin breakers with single ones.
I had talked to other electricians and can clearly tell the difference between few professional ones and those with all the BS.
Highly recommended!!

Dang Electrical Services Electrician
I bought a Google Hello Nest battery doorbell and decided to hire Jack to convert it to a wired one so I don't  have to worry about having to charge and babysit it. He also updated the outlet to a GFCI one.

Jack was easy going, communicative from the start, pleasant to work with, and prompt. He speaks English and Vietnamese. I think his pricing is fair. He took his time to make sure everything worked and was to my liking, such as the view angle, the location of the device, and different options for installation. We ran into an issue with the wall studs being in the way and he was able to provide workable options. He cleaned up after himself, wore a mask, and took his shoes off to do the work.

The work was clean and everything is working great so far! I would hire him again in the future when I need electrical work.

Courtesy Electric Electrician
We hired Mike to replace a sixty-year (or more) fuse box in the house we just bought. (Yes, it was so old that it required glass fuses -- good luck replacing those.) We first came by him one night when we blew out a fuse daring to run both the dryer and microwave at the same time. Mike answered when my wife called (while I was out hunting for replacement fuses) and he was more than happy to walk us through the issue in the evening hours over the phone.

When we hired him to replace the fuse box with an awesome modern-day breaker box, he did a great job -- him and David (his apprentice) were super friendly, explained everything, and cleaned up when done. So far electricity is still flowing to our house (and we can run the dryer, microwave, AND toaster oven simultaneously : ] ).

We'll definitely be hiring Courtesy Electric again in the future for more electrical work in updating our house. Mike's clearly passionate about his profession -- evidenced by his getting excited about the type of lighting we could set up if we wanted to go all out.

David Electric Electrician
My townhouse was built in the 80's.  Over the past 17yrs I've had several shorts occur (a receptacle melted, a switch burned up and a wirenut melted)  The breakers never tripped.  I assume it was faulty receptacles,  switches or connections in gang box in the wall.  I had another short a few days ago and and could not locate it myself.  I called a electrician I knew (who does commercial) and was referred to David Electric.  I called left a message and Albert called me back quickly.  He came out the next day he was on time and ready to work.  As soon as he opened the door on my breaker panel, he told me it was a major fire hazard and needed to be replaced.  The panel was known to not trip a breaker when it should and thus wires in the house get hotter and hotter in an overload situation until there is a failure - just like I had multiples times in the past.  I later looked up the details on the panel (Zinsco GTE-Sylvania) and found many reputable sources and news articles indicating the breaker panel had been recalled/pulled from market in 1984 (4 years after my home was built) and was a major fire hazard.  Albert quoted me $1500 to replace the panel with my choice of Siemens or GE panels labor, parts, and tax all-in. (I looked up pricing and in the Silicon Valley that is a fair price.) Permit was all set. He even offered to do the online application for the permit. He then proceeded to find where the short was and gave me a very good quote for that too.  He spent 2 hours searching and troubleshooting, including working in the attic.  The repair took another hour in the attic and about 30 mins rewiring two sets of switches in the primary bedroom. (troubleshooting, new wire, materials and repair $380)   He noted I had a freezer in the garage and offered to put a new dedicated circuit GFCI receptacle in for that which would reduce future break trips as my garage and primary bedroom were all (unfortunately) on one circuit and thus spread the load out. (new receptacle location parts and labor $160).

David was friendly and very respectful of my home.  He was neat and clean, cleaning up after himself.  He communicated with me and answered my questions.  I did ask for an estimate and he gave me numbers via text message which was fine.  He did give me detailed written invoices.  He communicated via text message quickly and clearly. His pricing is very fair based on what I saw in the marketplace and I have no doubts that his work was to code and done very well and professionally.   He's a nice guy and just wants to do a good job.  I would absolutely call Albert and David Electric back if I need any further electrical work.   I'm so happy with his work, I'll be recommending him to my Homeowners Association as we have 10 other townhouses with the same dangerous breaker panels.
