I had WGE install a Tesla Wall Connector and replace my main panel and subpanel.  They are true professionals.  In my experience they are organized, knowledgeable, fast and did very good work.
 
Here's a rundown of my experience:

1) Quote - detailed, convenient and quick.  All handled on-line and through email communication, including providing pictures. I had contacted four electricians for the job, all having high ratings on Yelp.  One did not provide a quote because the job was too big, another seemed too busy to provide a quote (waited several days and contacted a few times), and two provided quotes.

2) Questions and answers - WGE's quote was detailed but I still had questions.  Spent quite a bit of time working with Will at WGE (and the other firm that provided a quote) to get my questions answered and going through different options. A suggestion for people installing EV chargers - the manufacturer may recommend a 50A circuit to achieve the maximum charge rate, but you don't need to go to the max if you can charge overnight. So work with your electrician because you could avoid an expensive electrical upgrade or extra equipment if you step down just a little bit.

3) Quote acceptance - WGE's quote was a little higher, but I went with them because they were able to answer my questions patiently and work with me to find a solution that fit my budget. Accepted quote and WGE immediately scheduled for the following week.

4) Permits and power shutoff - WGE handled all permits and interactions with my city and power company. Everything went well.

5) Installation - WGE team (3 electricians) showed up on time and even sent me text messages when they were on their way. All the electrical work was completed quickly and within the day, so we were only without power for a few hours. Job site cleaned up and they had someone come out and prep for stucco patching the same day (for main panel replacement outside the house).  

6) Final inspection - no issues noted, no delays. WGE handled it all and I didn't have to even be around.

Yes, you'll pay a bit more for WGE's service, but to me it is worth it when you're dealing with important electrical work like replacing panels and installing a car charger.

Minh was a pleasure to work with. Super patient whenever I had any questions. Always showed up on time to start work. He spent extra time to avoid cutting unnecessary holes for routing wires for power. In some cases he spent more of his own time to drill through existing wooden studs when he could have just cut more holes to make his own life easier. The holes he cut were small and rectangular. He used a nail gun to attach the hole to the wall so that the drywall person would have an easier time. I had about 52 recessed lights installed through out the house. Two of the rooms had high ceilings. Minh and his team are honest and I would hire them again for any electrical or lighting work needed. He has a level of professionalism that I'm sure carried over from his past role as an electrical engineer.

I got referred to Julio by my plumber. Julio showed right on time on a Sunday to install an electrical outlet for the water heater we installed. Julio and team finished the work in less than an hour and also replaced one of the power outlet covers quickly. He is also very honest and has even quickly connected with me couple of other folks to get few other jobs done at my home. Overall, highly recommend Julio for electrical needs and would hire him and his team again!

Roger is a nice person who is so patient to help us fix the problem even by phone calls. Absolutely highly recommend!

Best customer service around!!!!  Called Duke Electric to perform several electrical needs for me that I have been putting off for years.  Duke was very friendly and prompt in responding to my initial request.  Showed up on time and went above and beyond fixing each item, even upgrading a few at no extra charge!  Finish all the work on time and without any issues.  Couldn't be happier with the overall experience.  Highly recommend Duke and his team!

Henry is great about calling you back, showing up when he says he will be there, and understanding quickly what you want done. His team does a great job on the install and leaves a clean work area. Today was the second time we've use CA Power & Light and we will definitely use them again. Not inexpensive, but you really get what you pay for. Professionalism, the job done right, and efficient use of your time as a customer. It's important to them that you're happy when the job is done.

A big THANK YOU to Adary Electric for responding quickly to my concerns with a garbage disposal switch sparking in my home.  They returned my phone call promptly, scheduled a same-day appointment and Freeman, one of Adaray's  electricians, exchanged the switch for a new one within minutes.   Prompt, professional and more than reasonable rates.

Nick is such a great guy. Great professional. Gave best advice and did outstanding, quality work. I met with 11 electricians before I went with Nick and chose him regardless of quote price. Highly recommend and will call on him again

Great quality of work. I know it's written in the contract somewhere, but it would have been awesome if the electrician performed at least basic patch-up work instead of just leaving the hole in the wall. Totally understand that they are mostly responsible for the electrical piece of the assignment, but for security reasons, I think a patch should be required.
Anyway, giving them five stars because they were pretty communicative as a company, the work went well. I simply hope that they will read the review and incorporate the suggestion into their future work.

Dan came out to do two small projects for us. One was the installation of 4 outlets in our outdoor kitchen island (still a frame), and an additional outlet along a wall in the backyard. All 5 outlets were installed to code (GFCI, covers, etc.). One was not quite in the position I wanted, which was my fault for not being explicit. He came back on another day and moved it to the place I wanted without any issue!

He also installed a new outlet in our kids' bathroom. Took him about an hour and the result is clean and professional.

Found my new electrician!  I would definitely recommend Jim.  He installed additional recessed lights in my home.  He is very conscientious and cares about the quality of work he provides to his customers.  I found him to be very honest and efficient.

Interesting...2 phone numbers listed and no returned call after voicemail left. Called the phone number listed on Yelp as well as the phone number listed on the actual website. vague outgoing message didn't identify the business name. On to the next electrician on the list. :(

When our air conditioning stopped working in the middle of the summer and the HVAC guys said it was an electrical problem, JR Electric came to our rescue. They were able to come out the same day I called and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. I highly recommend them.

Matthew is the best technician I ever met he reliable. He works hard to get the job done right? Hi recommended to fuse he came and fixed my AC and heater from Modern image and Milpitas and the guy did very good job. I recommend it to public. We had recessed lighting installed by Caio across multiple rooms. Caio did an initial look through FaceTime and provided a quote which was the best among the ones I got. He was also flexible and completed the work as promised.

Jack took his time and found the problem i had which was a shorted circuit in the house. Very good price and he was responsive. Highly recommend!

I needed a ceiling light fixture changed that involved replacing the junction box and fixing a wiring issue - all requiring going into my ceiling space. Carlos showed up promptly and was done within an hour or maybe a little less.

I have used GES for 3 different projects. They have been responsive, professional, on time and followed COVID protocol. They also wear shoe covers and clean up any mess they make. I also like that the owners Hormoz and Edwin are always on sight. They are trustworthy- so much so that I'd feel comfortable having them in my home when I'm not there.

Albert is so nice and very professional. We needed a GFCI outlet added to our bathroom on its own circuit before we had scheduled retiling/paint work and Albert fit us in on short notice. Over the phone he walked me through many questions to make sure the work could be done right away and he was very helpful and respectful. Ultimately he got the outlet installed quickly, cleaned up after himself and charged us a fair rate. Thanks again!
