sorry for the delay in posting this, but he was as good as it gets in quickly getting back to me, fixing the problem and being very gracious.  the problem was a small one, but I know who I will call when I have my next (hopefully again small) plumbing problem.

I highly recommend Jerry of J B Rooter and Plumbing. I consulted with him about a leak at my shower valve. Jerry explained to me that most likely we only need to replace the cartridge. He was right. He figured out the matching cartridge and replaced it, sealed the valve nicely, and cleaned the working area. Everything was beautifully done at a very reasonable cost. Thank you.

I called Chico on father's day and he was understandably busy with his family. But we set a time for Tuesday at 6 pm. Tuesday at 5 pm I texted to confirm. he confirmed. He didn't show. I texted and called multiple times. First he was stuck in traffic. Then his van broke down. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He apologized profusely and promised he would not miss the rescheduled appointment. We set time for Thursday at 6 pm. No show. No response to phone calls or texts.

Save yourself some time. Keep looking.

The technician was over smart and thought it was one valve which had issue

Both in which the valve keeps dumping water in the bowl. From black pipe originally and now from the new valve he has installed. So issue is still same water keeps coming in the tank.

I had explained to the guy same thing. He said he understood but insisted the problem is with the fill valve

My warranty company has a max limit which they paid. Now these folks are saying it's a new issue and not accepting that the original issue is not fixed. And so I have to pay out of pocket again.

This is really sad I am down $355 -- $125 out of pocket and $250 cap from warranty

I walked out to my garage to find the floor covered in water and noticed
that it was coming from the pipe that stands beside the water heater. Luckily a neighbor was able to shut off the water until I could get a plumber out.
A friend of mine recommended BG Handy Services. I called him and he and his son were able to come out on the same day within a short time.  He diagnosed the problem and replaced a part and had to use additional copper pipe to solder it with the existing pipe.  He was very competent, professional and I thought reasonable as he charged me $200 for the visit. It could have been a lot worse so I was very grateful.
I highly recommend Mr. Baldomero and his son for any plumbing needs you may have.

Prior to getting a response back from Aqua logic, I had another plumber who came out and told he he was going to cut into the metal wall support in the garage to install the water softener.  Luckily, I refused and Eric from Aqua logic later came by and installed the Fleck 5600 softener with the sediment filter and hose bib so that I can use the pre-filter water for the plants.  Eric and his partner found the right wall to cut into and installed it properly with minimal space so we can still use our wall for the storage shelves.  He even patched up the wall nicely that the other contractor left behind.  

We had a small leak from the drain of the softener the next day and Eric responded and came by within the same day to fix the leak.  I am so glad that I chose Aqua logic.

The owner was not able to help due to his schedule, but he went out of his way to refer me to other associates that were local and could help. Wow, I was impressed with his sincere desire to help out. Thanks.

Had an issue with a fill valve replacement on our toilet. I had already got the part and was ready. The tech did an extremely good job with a very quick job within a few mins.

Took off a star because the plumber didnt arrive on time. Was 1.5 hours out of the allotted time window given upfront. Had to move my meetings due to this.

We had to get hammock chair fixed indoors on my ceiling for my kid. I reached out to Nikolai, he was very responsive. Showed up and was able to get the job done on time and professionally. I'm planning to call him back for some other work at home as well.

The people from taking my calls to the service technicians have been extremely professional and friendly. This is the type of customer service that are needed and important for repeat business. If I ever had a problem, Allstate Plumbing would be the first one I would call. Allstate helped install my faucet and replace the toilet for us and they were patient. Costs are competitive, but a little high for me. However, they make it up for their service.

What great people!  I had Master Plumbing replace my Orangeburg (tar paper sewer line) and the water main to the house.  Done on-time, on-budget, with terrific clean up afterwords.  We found Armando and Adrian of Master Plumbing to be polite, friendly and quite clear about what needed to be done.  I would highly recommend this local (Sunnyvale) company.  Did I mention their bid was less than half that of a national chain I had quote the job?

I called LM Plumbing on May 10th because I had a knocking sound in the kitchen faucet.  Luis answered and was over within the hour.  He assessed the situation and advised me I needed a new faucet.  He did not charge me to troubleshoot the problem.

I bought a new faucet and called Luis on May 11tregarding having it installed.  He again was very prompt, polite and very knowledgeable of all aspects of  the job.  I was impressed with his calm, can-do attitude.  

His fees are very reasonable for his high quality of service.  I wouldn't hesitate to call him for any plumbing issue.  I would encourage anyone to put L&M at the top of the list for any plumbing needs.  I'm a very happy customer   Thanks again, Luis!

Luis has worked two more jobs at my house.  One was an emergency and he responded immediately and stopped us from having a lot of damage! The water had to be turned off til the next day.

He returned the next day to fix an outside plumbing  issue that was fairly serious. He is a hard worker and very thorough.

Very recently I called upon him again to fix a minor problem involving a leaking toilet.  He is fast, professional and very skilled.  

I have used his services three times and can assure you he will show up when he says or text you if he's even a little bit delayed.  

Luis is a very experienced plumber and his prices are honest and fair.  I will never hesitate to call him for any major or minor plumbing issue.

In a time where it is nearly impossible to reach a handyman directly much less get swift responses and actual follow-up...Norman has shown he is anything g but typical! We needed help with electrical work and not only did Norman listen to our needs,  he actually referred us to someone who could better serve our needs (this job required an urgent and complex electrical repair)...but Norman actually called the other company personally and followed up with us directly to ensure we received a response and then two days later he called to ensure we were taken care of!
Norman was truly looking out for our best interests to resolve the issue not just charge us for work he would ultimately need to refer elsewhere.  
We know Norman can perform an array of services as a handyman from basic house repairs, painting and plumbing he is also a person of integrity and trustworthy!  He listens and executed to his word!!! Sadly soft skills with service trades is more often than not a lost craft in and of itself.  We confidently would be happy to refer Norman and are sure you will be happy with quality and interior his work! Will and his crew inspected my sewer line and performed a sewer lateral inspection including pulling necessary permits and scheduling the test with EBMUD. Will was always very responsive and was happy to explain and answer all the questions I had. It was one of the easiest contractor experiences I've had. Highly recommend!

My experience has been outstanding.  100% of the time when I reach out for a plumbing repair or replacement, I get a phone call back the same day; and often available to go to the job site the same day, or next day for evaluation.   That works very well for me.  Additionally, the quality of the materials are top notch.  I have needed water heaters, sump pumps, fixtures, and exterior plumbing needs... all with a goal that they will last a long time to prevent having to replace something within a few years.  I have not been disappointed.  Finally, a few comments about the quality of the work... Excellent, thorough and done with high confidence.  Matt also takes the time to explain the repair / replacement upon completion, and takes all questions about the work, and future directions & maintenance of what was replaced or repaired with the homeowner.
