I called Mike after getting stuck on a DIY fix. He was nice enough to try and give me pointers first but I had already resigned to needing professional help. He showed up promptly and was a blast to converse with as he worked - seriously just try talking movies with him!

Mike was able to fix the problems with ease and I have every confidence in the longevity of his work. He taught me a few pointers in case I ever decide to tackle amateur plumbing again but quite frankly with a pro this accessible, friendly, honest, and fair I expect to retire my wrench happily.

Do yourself a favor and don't get screwed by Roto-rooter or any of the less trustworthy help available. Give Mike a call and see why he only gets 5-star reviews. Thanks for the help!

I highly recommend Jerry of J B Rooter and Plumbing. I consulted with him about a leak at my shower valve. Jerry explained to me that most likely we only need to replace the cartridge. He was right. He figured out the matching cartridge and replaced it, sealed the valve nicely, and cleaned the working area. Everything was beautifully done at a very reasonable cost. Thank you.

The office answered immediately, and the lady was very helpful. She offered same day service in my preferred time window. This is a family business. Vlad showed up on time and was great at trouble shooting right away. Their prices were fair and Vlad was very professional. We will definitely call them again.

Baldonero responded quickly to my inquiry, as I needed someone to repair an old corroded valve in the bathtub shower wall.  He showed up on time with another plumber.  They have a professional looking truck and uniforms.  My contractor who worked on the house found this valve a challenge to repair without either cutting into the side of the house or tearing out the existing tile.  Baldonero said he could replace the valve without breaking anything.  They were clean (wore shoe covers), professional and explained things well.  After considering the free estimate, I decided to proceed rather than shop around, and the work was done quickly, neatly, and methodically. The water main valve was also not working, and so the 2nd plumber fixed that while Baldonero worked on the bathtub.  I didn't shop for pricing, so I cannot comment about cost - everything seems expensive to me these days, but I was told they have not raised prices for several years so that's good.  Anyway, it's been 1 day, and everything is working as to be expected and that is what is most important.  I will consider B G Plumbing again.

They came by within the week and were able to fully install my water softener and whole house water filtration system.  It's working great with a neat and tidy install.  I wish I had the time to do it myself but these guys were the next best thing!  They even brought salt for the install!

Yes, James the plumber is great!  Local guy.  He has done my septic clogs for many years.  Very reliable.  I have had him come when nobody is home, do the job, leave a bill, I mail him a check. Of course he knows where I live! --------------------- [4/13/11:  He recently installed a new water heater and told me where to get one myself so I did not have to pay him to fetch it.  There was a very  minor problem with the installation and when I called him I told him no rush, anytime this week to fix it.  He was there the next day fussing and highly apologetic.  It was obvious that the imperfection bothered him more than it bothered me.]

Very good service. Fixed my clogged drain, the young man was very courteous. He was prompt and gave good suggestions to prevent this from happening again. A little expensive for what I needed. But overall I'm happy

I bought a toilet from Lowe's and they contracted with Handy to arrange for a plumber to install it. After 5 cancellations in 7 days, I contacted Lowe's directly, who arranged for Absolute Plumbjng to install. They came and removed the old toilet and installed the new one in under 30 minutes. They were really professional and pleasant, and I would recommend them highly.

Simply the best :)  Corroded spigot pipe started leaking and I had to turn the water off to the house. Called The Plumbing Company, and spoke to Judy ( top marks for customer service ). She informed me Phil would be there asap because I had no water. Phil arrived within the hour. He was friendly, courteous, and quickly explained how he could fix this and the price. He took care of this and was efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended

Sewer backed up again.   I called Master Plumbing this morning and they sent out Jorge this afternoon.  He is knowledgeable, experienced, pleasant, and efficient -- I couldn't ask for better.  He left me with an unblocked sewer line and no mess in under an hour.  Perfect!

I contacted Norman, the San Mateo Handyman, when I had a leaky valve behind my toilet.  He quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone, informing me that the source was the toilet angle valve. He put me in touch with Robert, one of his business partners. Robert came by the next day, and replaced the valve with a new flexible valve (much more likely to withstand an earthquake).  He gave me a package deal, also repairing the soft-close toilet seat, which would have cost much more if I replaced the entire toilet seat (the only option the toilet manufacturer offered).

Both Norman and Robert are expert handymen, with decades of experience.  They are both very professional, friendly, and down to earth.  I happily and fully recommend them both.
