My name is Colby Pham, my house had a problem this morning with electrical system (after many days of rains, we all got it :)). Anyway, only half of appliances working and I assumed that my cable messed up because the lights were flickering and they all turn off. I called Julio and within 5 minutes, he returned my call. I told him what happened to my house, only half of the house are working (lights, fan, TV etc...), Julio told me that he doesn't mind to stop by my house but he already knew that the problem with PG&E, 90% of the problem with the lights flickering and turn off because the common cable (from PG&E) were loose. He recommended to call PG&E first (he knew the problem) instead of paying him to stop by.

wow... wow... wow... I've followed his advise and called PG&E. Sure enough, PG&E stopped by an hour later and fixed my problem, I was so happy not only my problem got fixed, it doesn't cost me anything. Again, Julio doesn't mind to go to my house but he was being honest and recommended to call PG&E. Thank you so much Julio for being honest, I really appreciate that and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Absolute Power (definitely 5 stars).

I've used Julio twice now - once for an outside electrical box install for a water softener system and to run electrical out to a new hot tub. Julio and his team did an awesome job each time. Very good on communication and explaining what needs to be done and what's going on. Very fair priced, high quality workmanship and completed both jobs quickly with no issues since!

I was replacing some recessed lighting with some Philips hue recessed lighting as well as switching a dimmer to a switch. Only one of the lights were turning on. Julio was nice enough to help me over the phone first for free and if I couldn't figure it out he would come out and help for a fee. He recommended that I check for loose wiring before he came out. Turned out it was loose wiring. Julio is definitely trust worthy and I would recommend him and I will be definitely going to him next time for my next project. Will also recommend him to my Facebook group.

Very good electricians. Found the problem and fixed it.

When you call, the owner runs you through some steps to try to fix the problem over the phone. When it doesn't work, he or his employees come to the house. Most electricians go straight for the house call.

In the midst of the horrible year of 2020, we experienced a heat wave in the Bay Area hitting record triple digit weather for multiple days. I purchased a portable AC unit that was too powerful for the breaker I had set for my small bedrooms. Once the power went off completely in both bedrooms, I was desperate for an electrician to come by and save me.

It was a hot Sunday afternoon (104 or 105 degrees), and I called several local electricians I found via Yelp. No luck. Julio from Absolute Power was the only person who picked up and because he's such a honest businessman -- he tried to walk me through resetting my breaker (we found out later that it was just blown completely and probably from overuse with time) over the phone so that he could avoid charging me. Long story short, he had to come by to ultimately replace my breaker.

He showed up about 30 minutes after we got off the phone. He was professional and educated me about all the reasons a breaker could trip and how to fix it before having to call in an electrician.

His prices were reasonable and he worked efficiently -- he finished his work within 30 minutes.

No complaints here. If I had to hit up another electrician (hopefully, I will not need to) -- Absolute Power would be top of mind for me. Thank you, Julio!

I got referred to Julio by my plumber. Julio showed right on time on a Sunday to install an electrical outlet for the water heater we installed. Julio and team finished the work in less than an hour and also replaced one of the power outlet covers quickly. He is also very honest and has even quickly connected with me couple of other folks to get few other jobs done at my home. Julio installed bathroom fan last year in my house. His team did a great job back then. I'm writing this review to share my experience I had today.

Since yesterday, power at my house has been partially out. Called Julio and asked him to look into it. After listening to my story, he strongly urged me to contact PG&E because it looked more like a transformer issue. He told me I should not be spending money just to get hot check done from him when it was 85% certain that PG&E had to fix the issue.

After the call, my entire neighborhood had power outage. After 6 hours, PG&E technicians show up at my drive way, saying they need to replace transformer and few hardware and needed access to my backyard. I told them the problem I had and they told me exactly what Julio told me.

Julio is very honest and really cares about his customers. I was so happy with his help today. I'm very confident that those of you who have not done business with him yet will not be disappointed at all.

Over the last few years, I have had Mauricio do several electrical tasks around the house. He has always been on time, and his prices are reasonable. Also, he works really fast and produces a quality result.

An other thing I like is that he can often install components that you've already bought. He will also go shopping with you at Home Depot to help you to select the components for your project.

I got Julio's contact from a neighbor and he responded within 15 minutes (around dinner time!). My kitchen circuit turned off and after resetting the breaker it didn't work so I gave him a call. Too expensive for what they do. $250 for a hot check and they could not tell me the reason for my lights flickering even when the power was oscillating. In the end I paid them $250 to change a light bulb!! They also charge $200 to change a light which is way too steep. Professional and reliable but price does not reflect the output in my opinion.

This review is about the honesty and helpfulness from the owner Julio. My house had a problem with a partial outage in my garage and master bedroom. We called Julio and asked him to come over to take a look. He asked us what our problem was, listened carefully, and after that gave us a play by play on what we could do to fix it on our own. He was totally responsive to both texting and calling and told us to call him during the day so that we could continue troubleshooting our problem throughout the day. Did I mention this was on a Sunday?

Regardless, Julio has my business. I appreciate the fact that he rather spend his time to help me learn to fix it myself than to come over and make a quick buck for what ended up being a simple problem. To me these people are rare and they deserve our business. Good people should support good people. I will definitely be calling on him whenever we have an electrical problem and I trust he will give me his honest and customer-first advice.

Late post but things are finally settling down. Can't express my gratitude enough to Julio for coming to the rescue at my mom's house (in CA) the morning of Christmas Eve to give us power from a fire due to a transformer explosion & then returns on Christmas Day to complete the job....AMAZING man with a caring heart!!! We were in a dangerous and distressing situation & Julio came to help & what a help he was...Can't THANK YOU enough Julio !! I had an outlet I replaced and when I turned the breaker back I went to test it by plugging in a lamp. As I plugged it in and flipped it on the outlet arched and the power went out. The breaker turned off so I though I just had to flip the breaker back on and it would reset. It didn't. I called and spoke with Julio and he walked me through how to correct it. With his guidance everything works! Free of charge!!! Who does that these days? Julio did! I have a few electrical projects around the house I need to have done and Julio will be contracted to do all of them. I am blown away there are people like Julio out there!

Julio and Mauricio are both awesome. I hired them to replace an old chandelier and install a new one but the chandelier is 18 feet high about 2 stories high. They were super careful with everything. Nothing was scratched. They even cleaned up the floor after the project. They were super friendly and very professional. Thank you Julio for responding so quickly to assess our blown circuit breaker for the kitchen area. Our furnace is not working and we were plugging in too many floor heaters to stay warm. Ok I'm quite busy but I had to give Julio a shout-out for being a great person. I have had problems with my circuit breaker for a couple weeks and lost power in my master bedroom bathroom and part of my kitchen.

My wife called around to find someone to come check out the problem. Fortunately she spoke to Julio and he offered to walk me through how to fix it. I gave him a call and within 10mins all my circuits were working.

This is an absolutely late review for some work that Julio and company did for me back in 2016. I was installing an EV charger at my home and needed some work done on the breaker box, as well as running a long wire to a new exterior outlet.

They had me meet them at Home Depot to buy exactly the materials I needed (I consider that very transparent on the material costs). As for the installation, all of us were crawling around in my attic for a bit, figuring out how to route the new wire. I wanted to run the wiring through the inside wall of my garage, rather than run an ugly conduit on the outside of the house (easier to install, but it'll be ugly forever), and they were accommodating to my request.

In short, these guys were responsive, transparent, got the job done well, and had a terrific price. A very late thank you from me.

It was easy to make an appointment. They came when they said they would. They did a great job (installing bathroom exhaust fan and installing garage lighting). They stuck to their estimate. And, when they ran into an unexpected problem with the exhaust fan, they came back the next morning and fixed it. Out of the 3 electrical companies referred through the Home Depot pro referral and extra researching for a qualified electrician with credentials I chose Absolute Power.
I had work done July 2nd for my moms house which were checking and changing her outlets, having her light switches changed and having her kitchen lights redone.

My moms kitchen had the very old 70's-80's ceiling lights which was very outdated. Julio and his team went beyond my expectations and transferred my mom's kitchen lights to LED .
Julio (the owner) was very good at explaining and answering any questions I had prior to, during and after the work was done.

Let me start off with Julio, the owner of Absolute Power! He is friendly, completely honest and very straight forward! He does not bullshit you and tries his best to help you before coming out to diagnose the problem. My experience with Julio from the first point of contact to resolving the issue was fantastic. We chatted on the phone to see if I could fix the problem myself, but resetting the circuit breakers and the GFI was a no go.

A few outlets in the kitchen were not working and to be honest, I'm not even sure when they went out. I went on Yelp in search of an electrician and I'm glad I found Absolute Power. I contacted them via phone and Julio was able to schedule me for a same day service. I was pretty happy about that since I don't have to spend the long weekend looking for an electrician.

Julio texted me and gave me an ETA of when he was going to arrive, so it gave me enough time to clear out the area he was going to do the work. Due to COVID, he arrived with a mask and gloves and kept his distance while working in the kitchen. He explained what he was doing and pointed out the problem. I had a bad GFI (more like an ancient and old GFI) and some of the outlets were loose, so he replaced the GFI and tightened up all of the loose outlets.

The work was done in a timely manner and his pricing is very reasonable. Julio got the job done and he even knew what the exact problem was when we were chatting on the phone. Julio is hardworking, and an honest man, I appreciate how he wanted to help me save money by suggesting that I do it myself, but I DO NOT mess with electrical stuff. I did tell him that I tried unscrewing the GFI and electrocuted myself, LOL! I'll definitely leave it to the professionals!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Absolute Power to anyone who's looking for a friendly, honest and no bullshit electrician. All of my outlets in the kitchen are now working and I'm pretty excited about that and I no longer have to use the one and only outlet that was working. Choose Absolute and you won't be disappointed! We would like to install 240V power outlet. We have been shopping for about 3 companies and Absolute Power gave us the most reasonable price. Seriously, you need to check with Absolute power as the price quote by the other two companies is almost 2x higher!
The method they use to pull the electric line to our garage is minimizing the damage that needs to cause in our house. Some electrician would need to make a big hole in our wall and drill here and there.
They get it done in half a day, faster than expected.
Our house crawl space is inside our baby's room, Mauricio and the worker did it quietly and carefully trying to minimize the noise of waking my baby up. Appreciate that so much!
We went shopping with them to purchase the material in home depot. Well, I was hoping to get more discount with their contractor ID (which they claimed that there will be a discount, however, there is no discount. At first I thought to give a 4.5 stars because of this but...seeing they helping us maintaining the cleanliness of our house and considerate enough to not waking up my baby, I will give 5 stars! Their action and attitude on carrying out the work are not what money can buy.

I would give Julio 10 stars if I could! Appliance installation by a distributor bust the outlet. We thought the fuse was fixed, and that the outlet got fried during the faulty installation. When I contacted Julio to fix the outlet, he asked for pictures and then said I had not reset the fuse correctly. He walked me through the process, free of cost and got my appliance working in no time! I really appreciate the company's customer service and Julio's honesty and work ethics. GREAT experience with Absolute Power. We had called 2 other electricians and neither even called us back. Julio called me back the same day and scheduled a walkthrough so he could evaluate the job within a couple of days and scheduled the work 2 days after. I reached out to Julio to help me on a simple outlet change cuz I was lazy. I knew it was an easy job and so did Julia. So he basically explained to me that he would have to charge me his minimum fee in order to do something that would cost me less than $10 and if I had any questions, he could walk me through it. So I bought the outlet myself and when I disconnected the old one, the wiring was kinda old so I called Julio and he walked me through what need to be cut on the new outlet to make it work. Everything was fine and I appreciated that Julio tried to save me money and just not be so worried about making money from customers on such simple jobs. Julio Mendoza is amazing and HONEST!!!! We lost electricity to several outlets and tried a few times to flip the fuse box to get the electricity to work. After a few unsuccessful attempts, I called Absolute Power. Julio picked up the phone immediately on a Saturday morning and literally talked me through the entire process to save me money. It is a great feeling that I can say, I have an electrician that I trust to call.
My first impression of Julio was that he was a great communicator, friendly, and easy to talk to. I felt comfortable he listened to what the problem was. Then, when Julio and his brother arrived they were professional and immediatly recognized the problem. Julio. Julio. Julio. He was honestly a Godsend in our life and at the right time! Well...I wish he showed up earlier BUT whatever the case...we found him and we loved everything he did for us. We were lost and confused and didn't know what to do because we had a contractor basically lie and scam us. We were trying to find a legit electrician who wasn't going to charge us too much but still be able to get the job done. Julio isn't cheap but you know what...he can easily get the job DONE . And that's what you want. We had two rooms in our house that didn't have any power...and our new contractors had no idea why. Julio and his crew went in there and bam bam bam! Over the weekend, I discovered that we had some issues with a couple of our outlets. I called a half dozen electricians hoping to find someone who could come take care of the problem. It was a Sunday afternoon and many of their business hour listings said they were still open - but I only got one call back that day, from Absolute Power.

They arrived promptly on Monday, and went right to work. Julio and Mauricio were thorough, answered all of our questions with plenty of detail, and showed us how to handle replacing any other outlets around the house that we may need to do. They were also very up-front about cost, both on the phone the day before and in person the next day, so there were no surprises when it came to pay the bill.

These guys were great, and without a doubt I would hire them again.

Absolute power is the real deal, they are bonded and insured electricians. During the rainy season moisture got into my main panel and caused an electrical fire. I reached out to Julio on Yelp and he was at my place in 30 minutes. There was not much that could be done with my old panel, but he was able to restore temporary power. Julio was able to save me a ton of money by guiding me through the whole permit process (which is an experience to say the least). Due to the weather, PG&E cancelled on me six times, Julio was very accommodating and was able to reschedule. Several of the times they were already on site and started working. Heck Julio even clean my gutters well he was on the roof well we were waiting on PG&E. Finally after multiple rescheduleung due to PG&E I was finally able to get my new panel installed. Absolute power did such a great job the San Jose city inspector was impressed with how clean, proper and above code the installation was.

TLDR: if you are looking for an honest electrical contractor with fair pricing and quality insured work go with absolute power.

The main circuit breaker had blown out at our home the weekend before Christmas! Other electricians were unavailable to come due to the holidays and because it was Sunday afternoon. I called Julio and he immediately responded. He stepped away from his family event to come help us out.

We met at Home Depot and he helped us select the correct part for our home. He came to our home and fixed the problem within 30 minutes! He also gave us advice for future renovations and improvements.

Julio is amazing! I highly recommend him. Not only was his quote far more affordable than other electricians I had called, he personally made sure the job was done correctly. I had a bathroom vent fan installed. Julio has a whole network of workers in other construction industries that he works with to get things done. He understands that customers value honest workers who provide not only a good deal, but excellent work and his recommendations of other workers are solid. I went with his recommendation for a roofer (Felix from Sunnyside Roofing) who installed my roof and added a vent duct for my bathroom. After the roof was done, he had another guy come in to install a framework to mount my vent fan (I have a flat roof with no attic). They added sheetrock and texture to match my current walls. I opted to paint it myself, so the picture only reflects the work they completed minus paint, but they did an excellent job! Julio even recommended what I can do to conserve power considering my home's old wiring. If you need any construction related help, Julio should be on your speed dial. I have been recommending him to everyone I know.

I do not write usually write reviews but would have felt guilty if i had not written this. I called Absolute power for an emergency at my home on a weekend after trying many other places who did not even respond or quoted very high $$ just to come, that too after few hours. Absolute Power not only picked the phone right away but on hearing the emergency, guided me right away to do some diagnostics which fixed the problem.

These guys are great! I had a difficult ceiling light to hang and they whipped it out - no problem!! And while they were there, my smoke alarm battery died and was beeping super loud - totally annoying all of us, so Julio popped in a battery for me! True story - highly recommend!!!

Absolute Power did an exceptional job at a very competitive price. Could not have asked for a better electrician.

We recently ordered an indoor sauna / steam room and needed to run a new 30A hard wire from the main panel directly to the heater in an upstairs location. Julio identified a very clean path for the metal conduit inside the garage, and then used flex directly from the wall to the heater for minimal visual distraction.

Our heater went out of power and we needed help fast because it was cold. Most electricians were closed on Sunday. Julio answered the phone very quickly even though he was on a job. Because it was Sunday, he said that it would cost extra unless we waited an extra day. He offered to troubleshoot the problem over the phone so I texted him some photos. He was able to diagnose the problem and if I could have done it myself that would have been it. I opted to wait til tomorrow. Julio called me again later letting me know he finished his job earlier and if I still needed help. He quickly came over with his crew and fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes. He also charged us regular rates instead of weekend overtime. Amazing service, super friendly guy. He's got a customer for life.

We had to have the main panel replaced on our house. Julio was quick to respond and even gave some pointers while I shopped around for a solution. He came out and looked at the project and knew exactly what was needed to pass inspection. His estimate was very competitive. He was always responsive when communicating about the project.

His team came out the day before the inspection to do some pre-work. They worked with great care and quickly solved any problems. They replaced the panel and coordinated with PG&E and the City of San Jose inspector for the final inspection and powering off/on of the panel. Fantastic work! Easily passed the inspection. They also did a great job cleaning up the project.

Absolute Power is one of those great licensed contractors that are affordable with high quality results. They are easy to work with and have a great attitude.

I have to give credit where it's due. We'd been having some bizarre issue with our lights randomly going off and on for no apparent reason. I had replaced bulbs, but they continued to go out. In comes....JULIO to save the day! Very nice man. Great personality, and more than that, he was honest and fair. Turns out we didn't haven't paranormal activity, just some bad connections and the need for some more new bulbs. But a good laugh was had by all.

Not only did Julio do a fantastic job taking care of the light situation, he referred us to someone for attic work we needed done. We've bought an old home... so fixing it up will be a constant process. Finding good, LICENSED contractors that keep their rates affordable is no small feat. Not only did Julio charge us a very fair price for his time and labor, but he connected us to someone we ended up using to do another job- and HE gave us a very good rate as well.

Hard working, fair pricing, great communication, excellent customer service and follow through- you can't get much better than that. So it's 5 full stars for Absolute Power and we'll being seeing more of Julio and the gang ;)

Julio and his team came in and updated all the old wiring (knob and tube wiring) with current spec copper wiring, and replaced our single receptacle light in our kitchen to seven (yes, 7 lights from 4 tiny things). I dare you to find a shadow in the kitchen now! They also installed an outlet on the outside of the house (we used to have two extension cords plugged together to charge a car! only 120V, but still not safe...possibly safer than the knob and tube in the attic???). We added a couple lights in the basement as well (it's only storage at this point, not finished), now we can actually see what we're doing down there! Not to mention, the people that Julio recommended for the things that he wasn't able to do (repair the plaster inside, and install a vent for the bathroom exhaust fan that was installed) were GREAT! I'm looking at you Pepe (plaster repair) and Felix (roofer)!

I bought my first home and Julio helped me re-wire our kitchen (many outlets, power for dish washer, microwave-oven, fridge, power for kitchen island, etc).

He also added 6 LED lights on the high ceiling, and my living room looks really amazing now! All of them have been done in just 4 hours.

Julio is a passionate, professional licensed electrician. He not only did a great job, he taught me lots of stuff during the process and has been very thoughtful the whole time. His guys are really nice and professional too!

One lesson I learned from this is that NEVER EVER to hire a handyman to do the electrical work. Without professional knowledge, they WILL mess it up and put you and your house in potential fire hazard.

I'll definitely recommend Julio to my friends because of his kindness, strong professional knowledge and reasonable price.

Our 240V outlet needed to be moved to the other side of our garage to be closer to the EV charging port on my Chevy Volt. I had great communication with Julio during the evaluation and preparation stage. The team came (on a Sunday) and finished the work quickly. The job and workers were very professional (and nice). I lost power to 10 outlets located in two bedrooms. The problem was not the breaker so I needed professional help to resolve the issue. I really don't like trying to find competent repair persons for any task. You take the chance of getting unqualified persons who charge high fees. While searching for a electrician to resolve my problem I came across Absolute Power and was impressed with the great reviews. I contacted Julio, the owner, and an appointment was scheduled for the next day.

Julio and Mauricio showed up as scheduled and I was immediately impressed with Julio's professionalism. A shorted outlet was found which also caused a wire junction in the attic to short circuit. Both issues were diagnosed and repaired during the two hours they were here. Before they left Julio made sure everything was cleaned up and any moved furniture returned to original locations.

In summary I am highly satisfied with Absolute Power and will definitely use them again if I need electrical service of any kind. I was also satisfied with the reasonable service charge for repair.

He came out to my house in a timely manner (I received one quote over the phone on the spot without the person seeing the job), explained everything, gave me suggestions, and told me how to save some extra cash on the project. I felt like I was friends with him--like he was a cousin or something from whom I was asking a favor. After I accepted Julio's bid, he stopped by to measure everything, and his wife was in the car. My eight-year-old daughter and I went out and talked with her for a bit like we knew each other while Julio made his measurements. That is the ethos of Absolute Power: You are important to them and they treat you like family; you're not just a job number or an invoice. The entire process was so easy and fluid and fun actually, and don't get me wrong--I HATE having people work on my house; I only pay others to do things I can't do. But there was no pain, no hate, no regret with Julio.

As for the work: beautiful. The panel upgrade was a half day and passed inspection perfectly, and the stucco work the next day. We were at work and did not even know they were there except for the new panel and stucco. The day after they upgraded the panel, Julio and Mauricio were back at our house, labeled the box, and tested every appliance, outlet and switch. Of course, everything worked okay, but they ensured everything was correct before we parted ways.

I have seriously been thinking of more things to do electrically to get Julio back out to my house, but until then, hire him for all your electrical needs.

Post script: Julio upgraded our panel in 2019, so this review is overdo.

I recommend Julio as an electrician. He is very professional and is honest. He saved us from a horrible contractor. He is courteous and has a fast response. He helped install a large ceiling fan fix the electric switches after they stopped working. He will be our go-to electrician.

My family had been without power for 48 hours. PG&E had an outage that affected our whole neighborhood but when everyone's power was restored ours was not. We called PG&E and they wouldn't even dispatch someone to look at our power because they saw the smart meter was up so everything should be fine. We called absolute power and Julio answered. He is a very honest man, A master of his trade. Over the phone he was able to narrow it down to two things, PG&E wasn't sending us the right amount of power or the breaker went bad.He was able to tell us exactly which breaker to buy ahead of time so that when PG&E finally decided to show up and determine the breaker was bad we were able to give them the new one and have them install it for free. We can't think Julio enough for his advice! Power was up within minutes of PG&E showing up after installing the new breaker. Absolute power is a great company and has great people working for them.

If it wasn't for Julios expertise, PG&E that showed up at one in the morning would have said you have a bad breaker and left. We would still be without power and had to pay so much for an electrician to install the breaker in an emergency and more than likely be down another one or two days. Many thanks and God bless

I haven't had the work done yet, but the estimate and meeting these guys was such a positive experience, I'm getting a jump on the review.

You know when you meet someone who's incredibly passionate about what they do? You hire them. Immediately. Julio loves what he does and it shows right away. He had great ideas and suggestions and he's incredibly detail oriented. I can't say enough.

Julio and his brother are the coolest and most down to earth guys I have meet in a while. I called Absolute Power and got lucky with a quick appointment. Julio and bro stopped by and gave me great advise on some wall switches I wanted replaced. He could of just installed the parts I had but instead told me to return hardware and he provided the correct switches. I will for sure be calling him back for some electrical work in my garage.

Can't recommend Julio and Absolute Power enough! I contacted them through Yelp and not only did I get a super fast response with a quote but was able to schedule a service visit for the same day. Julio and His Team are Awesome!

From start to finish they were on top of every detail and always took care to ensure that the outcome of our project (installing 30 recessed LED lights throughout our home and garage all in 1 day) was totally successful!!!

Also, I greatly appreciated the fact that Julio was always providing several options for us to consider and allowed us to expand the project so that we got exactly what we wanted while staying within our budget!!!!

Bottom line; Great Team, Outstanding Professionalism, and Perfect Execution!!
