Mike recently did an LED can and LED pendant light installation for our condo.
Mike is very knowledgeable (especially about leading LED lighting products and considerations), he is extremely responsive, works very efficiently and is very easy to do business with.
The kitchen and family room did not have attic access and Mike used surgical precision when installing the recessed lighting with minimal invasiveness to the dry wall.
He also anticipated the potential for issues between the drivers for the two different LED products we were installing and designed the install with a Plan B up-front, if we needed to put the lights on two separate switches down the road.
We ran into an issue with the LED pendant lights after installation which was causing some electrical humming and light flickering, but Mike quickly figured out the need for a different dimmer switch, which solved the problem immediately.
In addition, we used Mike to run the wires needed for a wall mounted TV that we were putting into the family room. He did a great job on this as well. His experience suggested we were planning on installing the TV too high and he was right.
Mike has very high standards for the quality of products and services that he uses and it shows in the work he produces.
I highly recommend Mike and I intend to use Tri-Phase Electric for future electrical needs.

Great service by James M.! He came to us the same evening of my call after a very large tree fell on our main power line and house. James was extremely kind and helpful and worked directly with the city utilities until our main line was fully tested and quickly reconnected. He understands problems and the city permit hurdles and goes out of his way to help his customers. I highly recommend James, he has great knowledge and also knows how to deal with the utilities and customers, overall great customer service. Pricing was very competitive for a same day emergency service.

Listened to what we wanted, then gave reasonable recommendations, and were honest with pricing. They even gave options for lower cost methods or items, if I wanted.
One days work: Finished full install of recessed lighting in 2 bedrooms with no ceiling lights completed with dimmer switch, two hallway lights switched out for recessed lights and ran a new line to the master bath so we can later have a higher powered exhaust fan. When ever an aesthetic decision was to be made they asked before doing the work.

I am so glad that I found Richard at Acero Electric.
Today, I called Richard and he said he can be at my house in 1 hour. I simply wanted to get a quote to have GFCI outlet installed in my bathroom. He came, checked all the requirements, explained thoroughly what needs to be done and gave me very reasonable quote. And he was readily available to finish the work right then! So I hired him and he did a great job.
He is very knowledgeable and also a very nice person. I would highly recommend Acero Electric if you want a quick and superior job at a reasonable price.

Dmitry installed a NEMA 14-50 outlet, which connects to my Tesla mobile charger and charges the car at Level 2 rates (8 kW).
Dmitry was very responsive and reliable. His quote was very reasonable and significantly less than the other quote I received for this job. In addition, once he started the job he discovered a better way to do the job, which was also cheaper for me. I really appreciated that he let me know and saved me some money compared to his quote!
His work was excellent, and the install looks great. I would strongly recommend ARSEN Electric.

Brayan and Carlos were fantastic! I bought a new fixture to replace an outdated chandelier in our foyer. I called three different companies to install it. Each one came over for an estimate, took a look at the over 20 foot ceiling, and said that they were not able to replace the chandelier. I was beginning to be afraid that it would be impossible to install. My husband called this group, they came over the same day and said, no problem! A couple of days later, they had my beautiful new chandelier installed in a few hours. They were competent, friendly and professional. I also asked them to install a picture light, which they took care of in a few hours. They were also very reasonably priced! I am really happy to find a group that provides such great service and will certainly call them whenever I need electrical work done.

Just an update about my previous one star rating on the company. The owner reached out and explained why he thought his technician had solved the problem of the mysterious short on the jacuzzi outlet when it was not quite the case. He felt that since his technician did not properly diagnose the problem, he has wavied the charge. I felt that was the fair outcome since they have missed the mark. I give the company credit for admitting the mistake and tried to make it right.

Mickey returned my call immediately and came to home in South Salinas. I have a 100+ year old home with push button light switches, one of which was not working. He explained on the phone that these switches are by order only and I told him I had some replacement switches. He completed the job in 15 minutes! He does all kinds of electrical jobs and solar as well. Thanks Mickey! I'll be sure to call when I'm ready to replace my dining room light and for any other electrical needs. I've found the best people on Yelp and I count Mickey in that group!

My tenant had a problem with dimming lights in multiple rooms of the house. I called another company before I called Hewlett, and the other company was extremely rude and wanted to charge me $300 minimum over the phone. Then I called up Hewlett Electric, and Meigs advised me to call up PG&E first and have them come out to determine if the problem was on their end. He told me that a call from PG&E would be free, and that doing so would avoid my being charged some exorbitant fee by an electrician who wouldn't even be able to fix a PG&E problem.
I did exactly what Meigs advised, and lo and behold, PG&E determined that a small animal had chomped its way through one of the wires coming into the house. They fixed it up for free, my tenants are happy, and I am thrilled with Hewlett Electric. This is a company that goes out of its way to help customers. Very impressed.

I have used Ted and his crew to wire my new garage and small jobs as well. He is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.

I was hoping they would be my new go-to since my electrician retired. But sometimes things just go wrong. I had a great quote meeting with Wesley and took his first available appointment two weeks out to do an outlet installation in the garage, a light installation in a closet, two hanging light installations, and to troubleshoot the problem with the wires from the furnace to the thermostat.
His people claimed there was nothing wrong with the wiring and reconnected the thermostat (incorrectly - two wires were wrong and the way they installed the thermostat meant my furnace wasn't running as a two-stage as designed). I had a second team from the HVAC company come and reconfirm it was working...it wasn't, the two wires really were dead so they put a more expensive workaround in place at their cost.
The outlet in the garage was just bizarre. Instead of punching a whole and running the wire from the electrical box, they took the light switch out of the wall, ran the electrical outside, and put the lightswitch and outlet on the outside of the wall. Crooked. And not sealed all the way around. When I asked the owner, he just said that was how they do it since they don't do patch work. It really looks like one of my DIY jobs.
One guy complained when they saw the height of one of the lights to hang (it shouldn't have been a surprise as Wesley saw it himself), rolled his eyes when I asked to have things moved one way or another, and just helped himself to the restroom without asking - my gosh you even ask or notify if you're visiting a friend's house! When I asked Wesley about his employee, he stated he was a great team member. And maybe he is. Maybe they're great, but the day before they shut down for two weeks is likely not their best example of that. I wish I had known I was the second-to-last appointment before the shut down, too.
I ordered the light Wesley recommended from Home Depot for the closet but it didn't come in time as I gave it less than two weeks which is totally on me - so I will eat that cost because I just really don't want them back in the house. It was largely a waste of money given that a couple of things redone. Boo hiss!
I wouldn't recommend them. Two stars because Wesley initially seemed like a good owner and two of the lights were installed well.
*** As to the owner's response:
I already had a Nest installed and it looked like it was OK from the Nest side, too. That wasn't the job, nor did they diagnose or solve the problem. The job was to diagnose why the wires were dead which meant the thermostat wasn't hooking up to the furnace side because it's a two stage. The job wasn't to install a thermometer since i can do that myself and there was already one in there. The job was to diagnose why 2/7 wires weren't working and rewire them, if possible, THEN reinstall the Nest. However, the HVAC team (AIS) came back and installed a wireless which is working fine. More money wasted with Alley.
I had a patch and paint person lined up to fill the wall holes since i specifically asked to punch the holes in the wall and run the wires up and over the door. That was the job, not sticking some jerry-rigged nonsense on the outside of the wall. The next electrician I hired fixed that, too.

Great service, very knowledgeable, explained everything that I needed to know. I needed to call around for an electrician to install my car charger and possibly upgrade my electric panel. Got Electricians On Duty from yelp, and after a few messages back and forth, Raphael asked if he could call and explain a few things. We spent about 20 minutes on the phone and he explained his perspective on the install and update, giving me a few options and some things to think about. He was very personable and informative without being pushy. I ended up talking to a few other places and the quote from Electricians on Duty was very reasonable considering the other quotes I received. Scheduling was simple, and he showed up right on time with his team. They said it would take a full day, and it did, but I was very happy with the result. They installed a new, larger panel, an electric car load-management device, and the car charger. They repaired the drywall that they had to cut and the conduit is clean and sturdy. He re-explained all the work they did, re-labeled the new panel with all the previous information and warranties his work for 5 years. I would use him again and would highly recommend him and his team.

I took a chance and contacted Araz Electric to install two new 120v outlets. Elvin got me back promptly with a reasonable estimate, and we set a day for him to come over to install the outlets. Overall, the experience was quite pleasant. Elvin took his time to install the outlets and did a fantastic job. Unfortunately, during the installation, he noticed I had a faulty outlet with his tester, which we replaced. I'd use them again for my future projects.

Rodger and his team did an amazing job helping us to update our 30-year-old Condo in San Jose!
When we first moved in we needed some various electrical updates: additional outlets added, remove very old built-in electric heaters, add independent fans in our main bath and guest bathroom, etc.
We were so impressed by Rodger and the team at CA Electrical Group, that when we decided to renovate our Kitchen (a job that would require moving the main electrical panel for the unit to a different wall) we knew just who to call.
We decided to split up the electrical work into two jobs: one at the beginning of the renovation, and another near the end. Rodger was very accommodating around our schedule and worked with us, offering excellent advice based on his extensive experience. This was very valuable to us as we did the bulk of the (non-electrical) renovation work ourselves.
Thank you Rodger -- we love our Condo!

After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.
On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.
The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.

Jamil and team are very responsive. We had foundation work done, which messed up our front door. It would barely open. He replaced the lock and handle and rebalanced the door so it's working fine now. Professional and stays on schedule (something I always appreciate).
Update: Jamil returned last friday, installed a bolt lock on one door, repaired another one and added a lock to my garage, and three small door latches- all done quickly and efficiently.
