If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I needed an EV charger installed immediately. The owner, James responded so quick to my yelp request and offered to come to my house that evening to give me an estimate. I asked how soon he could install since I was in a panic since my car came in way sooner than I anticipated. He had a big job he was doing the next day but offered to have his employee come out at 6 am then next day. WOW! It's not like my job was a huge one but for him to offer this made me so appreciative. His employee showed up right on time (can't say that's ever happened before) he was professional and did an amazing job. Very clean and finished earlier than estimated. I had a bad outlet inside the house that he even fixed on the spot.

I can't say enough great things about JCM electric. I 100% recommend them for all your electrical jobs.

Gary did an amazing job installing a wall charger for us. To help me figure out the best plan, he visited first to look at the site, the panels we have in place, and explained to me the pros and cons of a few different options. The job was completed in a timely and professional manner, including patching the wall. Connected with Dmitry for installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage to use it with the Tesla mobile connector. He  was very responsive and scheduled a visit to provide  an estimate and completed the installation during the same visit. Workmanship was great and got the job done clean, rearranging the cables to safely secure them in the panel and labeling. He is also a TESLA certified installer and I highly recommend.

I was looking to replace my old sub panel, install a Tesla wall connector and run a new 50 amp line to the back of my range since I was replacing my gas range with an electric range. I found this company on Yelp and it had a lot of good reviews which is why I went with them. The whole process started back in Jan 2021 when I spoke with the owner Dinh. Appointment was set for 4/7/21 and I didn't get any confirmation the day before so I sent him a text confirming for the next day. He said he'll be there with a few of his employees in the morning to show them what needs to be done. The day of he says one of his guys isn't able to come so he needs to reschedule it to 4/8 and then also tells me he's not going to be there because he's going to be in SoCal. 2 of his guys show up and seems like they don't know what to do, so I basically had to tell them. They started the work on the Tesla wall charger and they assumed they were installing an outlet and not a Tesla Wall Connector (again no instructions were given to them). Dinh didn't even ask me what type of EV charger and just assumed it was an outlet. After the guys finished at the house, one of guys used the hose to spray down his car and left paint all over the handle of the hose. Then they asked for the payment. Dinh never told me that payment was due after they were done because the contract also included permits so the entire scope of the work wasn't complete. He said he forgot to tell me that 70% is due. At this point he was telling me to just pay and I told him I'll pay when I have the permits. After a lot of back and forth he said I could pay after the permits are done. So time passes and still no updates. I texted him on 5/10 and he tells me there's a min 2 week for the city to look at the application. It's 6/10 and our microwave started tripping. I messaged Dinh and he said he would come and take a look. 7/13 he comes and on his way over he texts me to prepare him a check for the 70% of the service that we ALREADY agreed I would pay when the permits were done which they still were NOT. When he arrives he sees that one of the breakers was installed incorrectly which was causing the microwave to trip. So he replaces it and then continues to pressure me to pay him. I started getting really mad because he was going back on his word about being ok with paying after the permits. Then went on to tell me that a lot of his other customers pay in full and that his company makes a lot so my payment isn't going to impact his business, but why was he being so pushy about it when his entire work wasn't even done? He finally said ok AGAIN that he would let me pay after the permits. On 8/20 he said he finally got a hold of someone from the city and that they told him his business name and address didn't match the system... he said he normally does work Alameda county and the city is so easy and was complaining about Santa Clara county.. maybe you shouldn't do business in SC county then? You should be more professional about that if you plan to do business outside of Alameda County.. just saying..

Finally they schedule the city inspector to come on 9/21 from 8-5pm. The inspector comes for maybe 5-10 minutes, signs the permits then leaves. I gave the payment to Tom (the other owner) and he says he'll email me a copy of the permit. When I get the permit only 2 of the 3 items were listed on there.. another mistake.. so I message Tom and he's not even aware the 3rd item was suppose to be included.. so here we are again waiting for them to schedule another appointment for the city inspector to come out. 9/21 the inspector shows up to inspect the 50 amp line installed from my garage to the back of the oven in the house and he asks how's he suppose to inspect it if the walls are already patched up? He says the walls need to be re-opened and there needs to be fire caulk along the line.. Unbelievable right? Shouldn't the company know to keep the walls open for the inspector? So now the inspector has to come back a 3rd time after they open up the walls and add the fire caulk which they didn't even do in the first place... fire hazard right?

So now they schedule another one of their employees to come open up the walls again and add the fire caulk on 10/28. Inspector comes 11/1 and finally approves the work. 8 months later.. I would expect that a verified license electrician would know the bare minimum processes like submitting permits, inspector requirements, not to patch up the wall the inspector is going to inspect.. granted after all of this they gave me a discount for ALL the inconveniences, however that doesn't solve the dreadful experience I had. If Dinh was professional, communicated better and didn't DEMAND the payment when the entire scope of the work wasn't done, I MAYBE would've had a different experience. It makes you question the honesty of the stars/ratings they actually have.

Highly recommend them. I first called them a few weeks back to fix an issue in our panel where one fuse was malfunctioning. While they were here, they easily took care of two other small things. The pricing was fair.
Since then, I have called them twice for taking care of emergency stuff: once when after the massive wind and storm two weeks back, the PG&E meter simply blew up. He came right away and provided expert advice. And then this week he came over when our 240v outlet in the garage stopped working. Again, he fixed it in a few mins...and didn't even charge for either of these two visits.
It's such a blessing to have a responsive, reliable local professional in the neighborhood.

my electrical problem is something that Hewlett does not handle, however Meig was AWESOME! he talked me through the issues, pros and cons of changing the breaker box vs monitoring it. he stressed getting several quotes ( and he did refer me to another company , Voltz, who was also terrific) and offered himself as a sounding board for advice re this issue in the future if i had questions. i can hardly wait for my next electrical disaster so i can call Meig and actually have him do some work for us.

So grateful for the same-day service to diagnose and fix our blown circuit.  The terrific technicians listened to my explanation of the problem and then went to work evaluating the situation.  Before too long they had discovered the problem.  They explained it to me, showed me the faulty wiring, and fixed it right away and reassured me that we are now safe.  Professional, friendly, masked & gloved, and were careful to maintain distance.  Highly recommended!

Great service, very knowledgeable, explained everything that I needed to know.  I needed to call around for an electrician to install my car charger and possibly upgrade my electric panel.  Got Electricians On Duty from yelp, and after a few messages back and forth, Raphael asked if he could call and explain a few things.  We spent about 20 minutes on the phone and he explained his perspective on the install and update, giving me a few options and some things to think about.  He was very personable and informative without being pushy.  I ended up talking to a few other places and the quote from Electricians on Duty was very reasonable considering the other quotes I received.  Scheduling was simple, and he showed up right on time with his team.  They said it would take a full day, and it did, but I was very happy with the result.  They installed a new, larger panel, an electric car load-management device, and the car charger.  They repaired the drywall that they had to cut and the conduit is clean and sturdy.  He re-explained all the work they did, re-labeled the new panel with all the previous information and warranties his work for 5 years.  I would use him again and would highly recommend him and his team.

Had Araz Electric install a 50amp EV charger.  It required a long run of 6 gauge wire from the panel at the opposite corner of the house to the front exterior wall.  They were thorough inspecting everything and explaining the options, gave a competitive quote, and the work was done cleanly, keeping the wiring safely in the attic and high up in the garage.  Very happy with the result, would highly recommend.

Given that the issue started 8pm on a Friday, the turnaround to set up an appointment was great. Omri came out on Sunday. His inspection was free and, as it happened, it was one of those Easy when you know how problems. He had our power working again minutes into the free inspection. Much obliged, do recommend.

After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.

On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.

The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.

I got my bidet installed through them. They were quick and reliable. Even though they did not have timeslot available they were able to make it between appointments. The handyman also removed their shoes before stepping into the household. Definitely recommend them. They also gave the lowest price estimate.

Sorry for the late review. I do still know it was an amazing experience to have the installation done with much confidence. Was very knowledgeable and very specific.

Sent a quote request on Yelp and only received a message to call them to get the quote. Called and the lady gave me the initial visit cost of $89 but said she didn't know the range of pricing for my issue. Understandable so I asked if she could ask someone else or one of the electricians, and she said they do not provide this information. Why? So I can pay $89 then be slapped with something that's $500+?? Shady business if they can't even provide general estimates. The lady even had the nerve to say other companies are more right for you then. What a B and a crap a** company.
