I decided to wait a few months before giving a review because sometimes, you don't know how good the work is until after $$ has exchanged hands and they're long gone. I am pleased to report how competent Mopia Electric is and how they do what they say they're going to do and on schedule. We had the electrical panel replaced, which was a rather big deal since it was one that required a bit more work. (I know it was more work seeing that I got the same story from another electrician too.) I am happy that he took care of pulling permits, meeting the inspector, and everything else to get this done properly. Plan to call back for our kitchen remodel. :)

Robert is a great electrician.  He not only repair my circuit panel today and also did a thorough inspections on all the outlets on the wall.   Excellent work and super friendly.

Had recessed lighting and electric a couple quad electrical outlets done. I love the job, so clean and professional. My living room doesn't get much natural light and now it looks great. Also now I am able to hide all the cables behind my TV, makes it look so clean. Juan the owner and his worker Shawn showed up on time, got the job done fast but most important a quality job, at a very decent price. The only problem now, for me, is I keep thinking of how many more jobs I can have them do. Highly recommended

My husband and I have been wanting to make our spare bedroom into our movie room but didn't want to worry about mounting a 70 inch tv and installing the surround sound. We found Dan on Yelp and he was very easy to get a hold of. He came and mounted the huge tv and set up all the surround sound with none of the wires showing. I highly recommend him and his team and appreciate his professionalism.

If you need an electrician Jeremy is your man.  Jeremy takes his time and does quality work.  And in my case went beyond the call of duty to get my job done.  If I need more electrical work I will definitely be giving Jeremy a call.  It's my pleasure to give Jeremy 5 stars!!

We used Hancock and James last year to install recessed lighting in our living room. They did a decent job installing the lights at a fair price. We had a much bigger project this month to replace all our old light fixtures with recessed lights. Hancock confirmed on the phone that they would be using same recessed lights as used in the previous project, however, what they installed were cheap $4 recessed lights you can order from Alibaba.com! I have 3 kids under 5 so was distracted and didn't check on the quality of the lights installed. Plus i was jet lagged coming back from europe the night before, however, it was my fault for not checking the fixtures.
My wife upon returning back to home after the completion of the job noticed that the light quality and look was very different. I asked Hancock to fix the issue by replacing the lights with the ones we can provide and since i take responsibility i can provide the new lights at zero cost to him. But instead of accepting that he used cheap lights and would replace them, he first said that those older lights are no longer being sold!! That was a lie. As i found the same or similar ones at home depot, lowes and ace hardware stores or amazon. Second he asked $60 to replace each light!! That's in addition to the light i will buy and supply him.
Definitely not going to use these guys and will be filing a complaint with the state of california consumer bureau on ethics and the way the business was conducted.

I was looking to get a 240V line put in my garage from my EV Charger.. Steve came out and gave me an estimate without any BS like many of the other contractors. His priciig was the lowest from anyone else and he was able to fit in the install within a few days whereas others were making me wait for over a month.

On the day of the job, Steve showed up early with his crew and were done within a couple of hours.. Work was done excellent with no mess left for me to clean.. I was very impressed.

Had a good experience with Bellows when we had a sewer project in the Santa Cruz area. Called them for another project in the South Bay where we had sewer water overflowing in the front yard. Was able to get an appointment for inspection/evaluation in a matter of a couple of days. However, even before showing up for the in-person appointment, the Tech called ahead to clarify what we were experiencing and told me that it might be an issue covered by the city and I should consult them first before having a paid service call by Bellows -- as it was likely a lateral drain/sewer line blockage covered by the city. Sure enough, the city Sanitary District Dept came out to take a look and said it was in fact their job to clear the blockage close to the main. Thanks Bellows for the excellent customer service!

Amazing service! Originally hired Oak Electric to sort out the power situation at our warehouse to handle a second 40 foot refrigerated shipping container. The prep work was done a few days prior to the container's arrival before Oak returned the day of delivery to power the reefer unit up. After seeing how they handled the power situation at the warehouse, we then hired them to help power up a commercial grade sauna unit at our house. The Oak Electric team was awesome to work with. Easy to schedule with. Great at communicating throughout the entire process. Very professional. High quality work. I definitely recommend Oak Electric and will be sure to hire them again for any future electrician needs.

We hired JMC as part of a spa installation.  For the spa, they did a thorough advance review of the property and electrical needs; they didn't try to upsell us on a new electrical box for the house (which another electrician had said was absolutely necessary), and explained why it wasn't necessary.  They coordinated on spa delivery so they could ensure it was fully operational before they left that day.  
We also asked that they correct some issues arising from some other electrical work another electrician had done some time in the past.  JMC was incredibly responsive, helpful, and straightforward throughout.  Not only were they on-time, but they actually responded to a couple questions (that turned out not to be electrical issues) on a weekend.  The price was surprisingly reasonable -- not the cheapest out there, but we would not hire any other electrician.  
Finally, these were the friendliest and most pleasant electricians we've ever worked with.  You really can't go wrong with JMC.  I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Brian has come out to do a couple of electrical-related upgrades for us at our home in Redwood Shores. First job was to do remove some old track lighting and replace with several sets of canned lighting in the living room, sitting room, and master bedroom. We also upgraded some light switches and installed an extra outlet in the bathroom. Everything was completed on time and looks great. Brian also came out again to help us troubleshoot one of the smarthome switches we had installed. Another job had him installing an extra GFCI outlet in the garage for a elliptical. He managed to find a simpler and cheaper way to install install it, without running a surface conduit, for a much cleaner look.

We'd definitely recommend him for any electrical work you might have. He does tend to get busy so def plan ahead if you need him to come out. And def echo other comments saying that he was pleasant, professional, and affordable.

I was having my kitchen remodeled and my contractor recommended upgrading my house to a 200amp circuit.  The quote they came back with was almost 4 times their estimate so I decided to look for my own electrician

Rob was recommended to me by a friend that works at PG&E.  Note: this was not a recommendation from PG&E, but they had good experiences with Rob.

He was one of 5 electricians I called: all recommended by friends.  Two never returned my calls, one was inadequate for the job, and the last one never completed my quote.  I was beginning to feel like I would have better luck finding a unicorn.  All of that said: I had a great experience with Rob.  

Rob came to my house and took down all of the details of the work I wanted done and made a suggestion: I have a plug-in hybrid car so he suggested adding a 220 outlet for a car charger.  

He got back to me with a quote within the week and it was 33% lower than my contractor.  I signed the contract and had to put the work on hold due to issues with the general contractor.  Once I was ready to begin the work Rob made himself available and did excellent work.  He took care of all of the permits and did the work he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it.

If you need any electrical work done I cannot recommend Rob highly enough.

Great electrician and very fast! Came relatively on time and brought own equipment. I had minor work done with my breaker box and he knew right away what the issue was. We will use Lam again for future electrical work!
