I had to upgrade my home from the old knob and tube wiring - this is a huge undertaking and I had a lot of trepidation in looking for the right electrician.  Lucky for me I found Mopia Electric.  Randy and his crew are THE BEST!  Prompt, punctual, and very professional.  Randy does it all from A-Z, handling the permits and inspections and ensuring that his work is aligned with what the homeowner wants.  His crew is VERY clean - we lived in the house during this upgrade, and the team worked with us, upgrading one room at a time and cleaning up after themselves every day.  Randy also communicates very well - he provided regular status updates and made sure we understood any challenges he came across and he always had a way to work through them.  

We knew what the project plan and timeline would be going into the project, and he was true to the deadline.  Randy Mopia really does take care of his clients.  I HIGHLY recommend him!  He knows his stuff, and you can rest assured that the work will be done correctly.  Because of this upgrade, my home looks and feels beautiful, and more importantly - I have peace of mind knowing that the electrical system is SAFE.

We were left scrambling when Tesla notified us of our vehicle delivery much sooner than we anticipated.  With the vehicle arriving in days, I needed to get a contractor to put in the Tesla wall charger ASAP.  After searching the Tesla site and Yelp I ended up talking to 6-7 contractors.  I was able to schedule a free estimate with both Robert and another contractor for today.  Robert with Electric Chen was my 2nd estimate today so I was able to compare him to the previous contractor.  

I explained what I wanted to do with the install, which was what I told the previous contractor, and Robert asked if I would like his opinion.  His recommendation totally made sense, and his solution saved me a significant amount of money.  Since I had the charger already with me he offered to do the installation on-the-spot.  Since his reviews on Yelp were very good and I had a good feeling about him I agreed to have him start the work immediately.   1.5 hours later the job was completed!  So happy to have found him.  I actually may have him comeback another time for some interior ceiling fans and exterior fixture installations!  

He actually had just finished another Tesla Wall Charger installation before me, and now was off to do another one!  He apparently said that its most of his work recently!

Hired him to defrost the upright freezer in our garage.  Antonio texted me the day before to confirm the appointment and arrived right on time.  He was able to figure out how to do it and was very patient with my husband, who wanted to help.  He even helped unload and reload the frozen food.  Reasonable price.  Very happy with him and will keep his card for future jobs.

I contracted Peralta Electric to upgrade my electrical panel from 100 Amps to 200 Amps, to run power to a workshop that I'm building in the backyard, and install a generator hook-up and sub-panel by the main electrical panel.  He got all of that accomplished on time and on budget.  He also took care of all the permit work and the PG&E scheduling.  When I asked him to do a few other small tasks, like installing a ground rod and an additional outdoor outlet, he said, No problem!  If I have any other electrical work that needs to be done in the future, he will be my first call.

Just hired Dan to install a new Ecobee thermostat and a smart light switch.  He got the job done very quickly.  Ran into a problem with the light switch, but Dan was quick to call customer service and managed the whole call until we discovered the problem, which was quickly fixed.

Very responsive, messaged me back via Yelp within minutes and in charged me exactly what he quoted me.  I'd hire him again for future needs

I needed to get a 50A outlet installed in my garage for my car and had them come out for an estimate. Jeremy came by and was fantastic. After I confirmed the estimate and asked him when he could do the work, he asked when I will get the car. I mentioned as soon as 2 days from then, but thats my fault for cutting it close, not his, I can wait. Not a problem for him. He wanted to see if we could it get done today. Fantastic.

He called around and said today wasn't possible, but the next day was. I told him my schedule and he pulled something together and scheduled it (it was after their normal hours). The next day Abe came by and took care it fast and professionally.

From Estimate to installed was just over 24 hours, and that includes pulling permits and everything. Amazing.

Wanted an exhaust fan installed in the garage. Hancock and Albert talked me through the process. Spent the time carefully measuring and cutting the right space. Sealed the holes after and cleaned up.

I was looking to get a 240V line put in my garage from my EV Charger.. Steve came out and gave me an estimate without any BS like many of the other contractors. His priciig was the lowest from anyone else and he was able to fit in the install within a few days whereas others were making me wait for over a month.

On the day of the job, Steve showed up early with his crew and were done within a couple of hours.. Work was done excellent with no mess left for me to clean.. I was very impressed.

Had a good experience with Bellows when we had a sewer project in the Santa Cruz area. Called them for another project in the South Bay where we had sewer water overflowing in the front yard. Was able to get an appointment for inspection/evaluation in a matter of a couple of days. However, even before showing up for the in-person appointment, the Tech called ahead to clarify what we were experiencing and told me that it might be an issue covered by the city and I should consult them first before having a paid service call by Bellows -- as it was likely a lateral drain/sewer line blockage covered by the city. Sure enough, the city Sanitary District Dept came out to take a look and said it was in fact their job to clear the blockage close to the main. Thanks Bellows for the excellent customer service!

I shopped five different electricians and I am so happy I hired Jason and his team. In one hour they happily took down three chandeliers and replaced with two vintage ones. They are cheerful, have a can do attitude, and fast working. Thank you Jason

Brian was very knowledgeable and professional. His quotes were very detailed and specific and there were no hidden surprises. He's really easy to talk to and when I had any questions he'd take the time to explain. Brian installed some network cabling throughout my house as well as grounded a handful of outlets in the walls. I asked for his opinion on a few different things and his input and experience was very helpful.

In short, they are the BEST.  Hard working, sincere, honest, and responsive.  I am extremely happy with their work.  I wish I have known Rob sooner.

Installed a crawl space gfci outlet for me to connect the sump pump. His price was reasonable so I worked with him. He did a good job finished in a timely manner. He also explained everything to me.

Needed new electric range plug and wiring to be installed. Answered the phone at 8 pm, which was nice as all the other local electricians did not answer. I asked if he could come right away, and he was there at 8:30 pm.  I had texted pictures so he brought the right plugs and connectors, and was done in less than 45 minutes.  Really appreciated the fast service and quick work.  Highly Recommend.
