I contacted Fitch Electric because I had an outlet and exterior light that wasn't working. Fitch Electric contacted me to schedule an appointment after I left a message and they were able to come out within 2 days. Eric was our technician and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and make the repair. The diagnoses was a little tricky but I could tell Eric was an experienced electrician and knew how to assess different things to identify the issue correctly. Fitch Electric was very reliable (showed up on time) and was very professional. I would definitely recommend them.

Our electric meter and panel was burnt overnight, and we had no electricity when we woke up. I called Mopia Electric (Randy) and told them my situation and they immediately sent people over to my place to start checking on it. From the time of the call in the morning until they finish replacement, all it took was 1 afternoon. The replacement included changing a completely new electric pipe through the roof and changing the entire electric panel while adding a couple ground wires to ensure that our electricity will run with no problem. If you live in Castro Valley / Alameda County, these are the guys to call for any electrical problems.

I sent a quote request and Juan responded very quickly. Was able to come out and give us a quote in person within a couple days. A few days later he was able to start and did an amazing job. He added an external outlet to our front yard for us to use install sprinklers and walkways lights as well as 2 new lights flanking the garage. He even went to extra step and sealed around the new lights. Super happy with his work and would use him for any future needs!

Four four years, I have had problems with my furnace/AC unit. I have had three companies come out and have a look at it. BAM was the fourth.

For each one, the furnace was fixed and worked for a short time, or not fixed at all. Sometimes it worked for one hour, and sometimes it worked for a few months. The majority of the time in our house the heat and A/C would not work. Each person who came had a different explanation of the problem. Each one charged about $125 for service regardless of the quality of service they provide.

One company charged to tell me that my thermostat was broken (which was obvious) and they could not even look at the heater with that broken thermostat. An electrician told me that I would need to replace the wires in my walls, and tear apart my plaster walls with custom paint.

I was dreading having to find a fourth person - while being bedridden sick and with my house getting colder, preparing to host a holiday party I desperately called around. I was not sure whether the problem was electrical or furnace.

I called BAM. They called me back in a timely manner. The service guy was so kind to make room in his schedule to come to my house the next day! On such short notice, they were one of the few places I called who were willing to deal with furnace and electrical problems.
Their business model is a free estimate of work to be done, at which point the client could decide.

The guy came right on time. He checked at least four points where there could be a problem and described everything he was doing. He checked the power going into the furnace and verified the correct voltage. He found that the power leaving the furnace was not correct. Due to a loose neutral wire. After tightening that, the heater worked. My point is, he could have estimated that the entire furnace electrical board needed replacement, and I would be none the wiser.

After he left, my heater stopped working. I messaged him later that night, and he further explained all the possible problems, at 9 pm. He walked me through all the things to check. The next morning I took his advice and checked the things he told me to check, fixed the problem and learned a few new things.

I am grateful for these guys. My heater is permanently working and I know at least two potential failure points for the future and how to fix them. I'll be using these guys again.

I was looking to get a 240V line put in my garage from my EV Charger.. Steve came out and gave me an estimate without any BS like many of the other contractors. His priciig was the lowest from anyone else and he was able to fit in the install within a few days whereas others were making me wait for over a month.

On the day of the job, Steve showed up early with his crew and were done within a couple of hours.. Work was done excellent with no mess left for me to clean.. I was very impressed.

Told us they could have us scheduled and installed within a month. When the instalation date was getting close I called them and they didn't even have us on the schedule. They had forgotten about us for two weeks and whos knows how much longer if I never called.

Two weeks after the initial agreed upon start date they actually scheduled us for an inspection, not an installation like we were promised. Some one had already come out to look and recommend a system but I guess that person was just for show?

It's been 2 months and we were just told a DAY before installation that they don't have our AC unit. It'll be a minimum of an additional 2 weeks before they can install the unit. They charged us last week insisting it needed to be done prior to installation.

I am so disappointed in the scheduling department and the communication we should have received.  I get it, things take longer with these services but telling us the day before you didn't have our unit is unacceptable. This should have been communicated sooner.

Who knows when we will get our AC unit? They clearly dont.

I contacted Jason for several electrical issues and he called me one morning and said he could come over in about 15 minutes. He came over with several guys and a few of my jobs turned out to be a bit more complicated and it became clear to me that because Jason squeezed me in, he didn't really have enough time to take care of all of my projects, in spite of the fact that I had not indicated that my issues were immediate. He left having handled only 2 issues, but left 2 other issues, half finished. It was clear that they were having trouble figuring out how to fix them, and that they needed to be somewhere else and couldn't give those projects the time they needed.  He told me he would come back, but then I didn't hear back from him. I was really disappointed, because he has good reviews, and maybe had he scheduled me with a regular time slot instead of squeezing me in, I would have gotten full service and he would have had all of my projects completed.

Excellent response time, fair pricing and made sure the job was done right. Highly recommended local business.

Great service, Tim was my electrician he came on time and was very knowledgeable about his work he explained exactly what the problem was to me so I could understand, he did a great job on getting the power restored very quickly and did a fantastic job on cleaning up after he finished the job! I also appreciated the fact that he wore covers on his shoes to keep the floor clean. I looked around and found his prices to be very fair and he even offered me a discount for first time home buyers I highly recommend Five or Free electrical solutions, Tim was great, he made everything easy and showed me a great example of how good the service is at his business.

We had the majority of our outdated (1980s) lights replaced. Brian helped us select various lighting options throughout the house. Brian and his worker were here for 2 1/2 days and did their jobs cleanly, quietly, and efficiently. We would call BMH again for electrical work.

We needed AC power receptacles installed in our building, and the electricians that our landlords having been using for years were closing shop, which we weren't aware of until a few days before our deadline.  I found Odom on Yelp with a whole lot of great reviews, and I explained our scenario to Rob.  He arranged a site visit and got his proof of insurance and all the necessary paperwork to our building management, along with a quote, within a couple of days.  His guys showed up right on time, explained their plan of what and how they were going to proceed, finished within a couple hours, called me to demonstrate that everything worked as it should, and it all looked tidy and well-done.  Their prices were reasonable, they did a top-notch job, and I think just as important - every employee I dealt with presented themselves as knowledgeable and professional.  Thanks to Odom we were able to keep our project on-track.  I've recommended them to our building management so hopefully they'll get more work from them, and we would surely call on them again.

We had quite a bit of work to do, from changing a location of an outlet, a faulty breaker outside the house, and loose/dangling outlets everywhere. He showed up for a free quote, provided the pricing which was very competitive to others, but he had a flat fee which I loved vs somebody charging you by the hour. He also provided us some ideas for future renovations for our recess lighting. I will definitely be using LAM Electric again!!!

Good for small jobs but that's it.  I made the mistake of having canned lights installed and was very unhappy with the outcome.  

Work was done hastily.  There were 3 unnecessary holes put in my wall and that's unacceptable.  I asked to match/get close to the same canned lights in the kitchen.  The ones installed were larger and cheap looking.  They also dim and flicker.   My messages have been met with i have flu and i'm on vacation.  How pathetic.
