Randy installed our low voltage lighting in our front yard and patio area. Comes on time and very knowledgeable of what to do. His prices are fair with quality work. Will look him up again when time comes.

Robert helped install my Tesla wall connector today. He gave me a detailed walk through before doing the installation so I could understand what's going on. He also gave me some good advice on which circuit breaker to use(I chose the 50A circuit breaker because the max for my home is 125A). He finished the job fast and neat. Amazing! I'm in a townhouse and my upstairs/downstairs light switches were being difficult. I called Juan Peralta, and he was able to come out the next afternoon and fix whatever was wrong. Imagine: I can turn my lights on and off whenever I want. (Sounds silly, but it was a pain in the neck.) Juan was prompt, quick, knew exactly what needed to be done, and brought the replacement parts with him. I will definitely call him again for any electrical problems.

I had a great experience with Bay Area Maintenance. I had Dan over to help me hook up my thermostat when I was having AC issues. Dan was able to re-wire and install my thermostat correctly as well as diagnose that my compressor wasn't working properly and that I needed to have HVAC professionals come repair it. Dan seemed very honest and was genuinely reluctant to take my money when my AC still wasn't working even though it wasn't his fault. I cannot recommend him enough.

We had an electrical problem we could not solve. It was a fire hazard so we were very nervous. We called them at 6:00 p.m on a Saturday evening. They warned me up front about the possible charges we might be looking at, so there would be no surprises. Ray arrived at 8:00 ready to go. He was here until 12:30 a.m. He worked very hard to get the problem solved. Of course it was a little expensive (emergency call in a Saturday night), but worth every penny. He solved the problem and made it so that our electrical system was stronger than before. I would definitely use them in the future. Excellent customer service, very professional, and hard working.

I had several electrical jobs and issues for Den electric to fix. Two bedrooms of can lighting, a ceiling fan, replace a non-working light with a can light over the laundry area, HDMI port and some outdoor lighting. They took care of all of these jobs in a single day. Super professional and friendly guys. I highly recommend them for any electrical need you have.

So a few months after I'd left the messages and wrote the 1-star review, Steve called me. He apologized and explained that he'd been dealing with some family issues. He had also let go one of the workers who had done my electrical. After making an appointment to come out the following week, I sent him my list of things that needed to be fixed, detailed in my original review.

As promised, Chris came out on Monday. He was on time--even early--friendly and courteous. Chris made some recommendations on how to fix some of the problems, did the work, and also saved the day with some quick thinking. He also changed out a motion detector switch to a regular one even though it was out of scope.

Steve himself came out and we smoothed things over. I was happy to have the work completed quickly and even talked to him about coming back to install a new light over my dining table.

Although I would have preferred the work had been done properly originally, Steve takes pride in his work and I know he felt bad that there had been issues.

I understand when family matters come up, and I told him as much. However, I do think he should have left an outgoing voice message explaining that he was taking time off and would not be returning calls for an extended amount of time.

I was actually about to hire another electrician to fix all the problems, so I would been pretty upset if I had done so only to have Steve contact me afterward.

My initial experience with Steve and John, who were recommended by my contractor, was good. However, I've now left two messages this year for Steve asking him to come back and fix small issues that came up within weeks of my moving back into my remodeled home: canned light went out, dimmer makes a buzzing noise, smoke alarm fell off my master bedroom ceiling. And the big one: fans in both baths come on when heat/air does and not necessarily when they should. I.e., when I'm showering and the bathroom steams up.

I'm sure all of these problems are easy to fix, so I'm frustrated that I've left two very polite messages (one on Steve's cell phone; one at the shop) and still haven't received a call back in over two weeks. I spent more than $10k with Southwest and thought Steve and John were very professional and helpful during the remodel. I think it's very unprofessional now for Steve to not follow up on these issues that I've documented through date-stamped photos.

I think it's interesting that the majority of these 5-star reviews for Southwest are from people who don't write many reviews. This can be a sign of business owners asking for favorable reviews in return for providing a discount. If you're researching electricians or any other businesses on Yelp, I recommend doing your homework. Just because the business has 5-star reviews does not mean they truly are a 5-star business.

Bellows is an overly expensive Company with poor customer service. They charge you excessive fees to fix things that are under warranty and do a pretty poor job if it. I like Costco and got in touch with Bellows through there. They make Costco look bad.

I hired Jason to install a line of recessed lights along a hallway. It didn't turn out well. The lights were crooked and the final bill was more than I expecting. We can debate whether the bill was fair, but there is no debate about the lights. A laser alignment tool showed that some of the lights were up to an inch out of line with the others. In the end, I had to pay another electrician to redo the light placement and a drywall contractor to repair the unnecessary holes in the ceiling. This was a rudimentary mistake that you would not expect from a professional.

Alfredo did an amazing job replacing our pool disconnect. He was clean, courteous and handsome. Job was priced fairly and we are so so happy.

These guys were great! Very professional, from email/text updates to the technicians that performed the quote and the work. They installed 2 upstairs ceiling fans with lights, putting both on a single switch with dual control. Very slick! The price was good, they arrived when expected, and did a great job on pretty short notice. Highly recommended, and we will go back to them with any future electrical needs.

Brian was professional and has a fast response time.  He showed up on time, figured out the electrical problem quickly, did quality work, and gave thorough explanations. He pays attention to detail.  Would definitely hire again!
