breaker in the sub panel as when we installed
it, it would not work, keep in mind this call was on
a Sunday afternoon and Randy answered on the
third ring another thing is I have never done business
with them.
Rather than come over during the week and charge me
God knows what, Randy took the time to explain that what
I needed was a GFCI plug, not a breaker, he gave me
detailed instructions on the install of the wiring to the plug.
You can bet that in the future when and if I need
electrical work done, he will be the guy I call.

I have worked with Juan Peralta and his crew on three projects this summer at my home in Saratoga, the largest of which was the installation of a new circuit breaker panel and whole house generator at my home in Saratoga.  I found Juan to be responsive, knowledgeable, thorough, patient, respectful and very customer oriented.  He showed up when he said he would, didn't leave until he accomplished what he set out to do and always left my property the way he found it when he came.  His workers are equally diligent and respectful.

Dan  from BAM is awesome to work with. He was prompt in the reply to my quote request, quick to schedule and came on time. He not only finished his work on time but also answered all the queries and gave suggestions for maintenance. I recommend BAM for all your maintenance needs.

We purchased a new home in Oakland in November 2014 and simply wanted to install some recessed lighting in place of the super ugly florescent lighting that was in the house when we bought it, and fix a few small electrical items that our home inspector recommended.  I reviewed Angie's List and Yelp and saw all of the 5-star reviews for Got Watts, so we had them come out to give us a quote.  

Jeremy promptly came out to the house and was very honest, friendly and informative when going through our plans with us and letting us know what our limitations were and what Got Watts was able to do.  During the process, Jeremy told us that we would need a power panel upgrade to bring more power into the home since there was simply not enough power to provide enough electricity for the home (we were already previously informed by our home inspector that this was a possibility).  So, this would require us to install a bigger power line from PG&E coming into the home, and also a new power panel.  We chose Got Watts for the project and they proceeded with the job.

After completing the installation of the recessed lights and the new power panel, it was (quite unfortunately) discovered that the new power panel was not compatible with the wiring in our new home, which was 70% knob and tube wiring.   The presence of knob and tube wiring was never discovered by our own home inspector and not included in our home inspection report!  Jeremy tried to find a fix for us so that we would not have to rewire the house (i.e. remove all of the knob and tube wiring).  He spent 12 straight hours at our house on a Sunday, looking for the culprit section of knob and tube wiring that was causing the circuit breaker to trip when challenged.  He was unable to locate the problem, but while in the process of looking for the problem, he discovered even more poor wiring deep in the recesses of the house, which was a further safety hazard.

We discussed our options with Jeremy and concluded that a rewire was the only option left if we wanted to pass the final permit approval from the City of Oakland for the new power panel.  By this point, it was around Dec 18th and we really wanted to move into our new home by mid to end of January, and still needed to have the walls (which would have giant holes in them due to the rewire) patched up and painted before moving in.  So Jeremy and his crew worked on the rewire project all throughout the Christmas and New Year's holidays, fitting us in wherever they had openings during this time.  We were so appreciative that they worked so hard, spending time on our home when they could have been home with their loved ones over the holidays.
The final outcome was better than we could have imagined and we are so happy with the finished product.  We now have a safe and fully modern wired home.  We even had Got Watts install high-speed Ethernet, digital voice and cable jacks in several rooms since the walls were already opened for the rewire project!

Throughout the project, Jeremy, Troy, Abe, James and other Got Watt team members were true professionals and always answered our questions.  They took the time to explain to us why certain previous wiring in the house was done with total lack of safety, and how they were going to fix it.  Jeremy said to us during the process, this house is the worst house we have ever seen from an electrical standpoint in 15 years of doing business.

In addition to managing their timeline perfectly, Got Watts' team brought in boot-covers to wear to install fixtures that arrived late after we moved in, and they were extremely careful not to dirty our newly cleaned floor and furniture.  They straightened the crooked switch plates (installed by previous owners) whenever possible for a better aesthetic and provided other valuable design related suggestions from the electrician point of view.  They left their master lock box for our painter to use to make our painting process smooth while we were not at the house.  They are true professionals that offer the highest level of service and experience.

Despite the massive hurdles we all had to overcome, Got Watts did the job and finished on time! It was an expensive and much bigger project that we had anticipated, but in the end we were very happy that we chose Got Watts to complete the project for us.  We highly recommend them to anyone who has electrical needs for their home or business.

Hancock from Den Electric came over to install an outlet in my garage so I can charge my Electric Vehicle.

Upon initially reaching out, he was immediately communicative. He answered every one of my upfront questions thoroughly, quoted a price range over Yelp Chat, shared his license number (so I could look it up), and was forthcoming about his schedule. Due to his responsiveness, articulateness, honesty, price, and availability, I made the decision to hire him.

When he came out to do the work (on time), he was quick doing it. He explained what he was doing while he was doing it, too.

Also seemed like a nice guy -- easy to get along with and talk to. Didn't seem to mind me glaring at him from the other side of the garage.

He accepted payment over Venmo. I paid him after I verified his work was functioning as promised.

It's now been a week and everything is still working just fine.

Steve, who I believe is the owner, is really responsive and gets back to really quickly. I've used them several times and the electricians are very knowledgable and friendly. They do a great job and charge reasonable prices which is unusual for an electrician. When they quote a job they stick by the price even if it takes longer for them to complete it. I recommend them highly.

Bellows is an overly expensive Company with poor customer service. They charge you excessive fees to fix things that are under warranty and do a pretty poor job if it. I like Costco and got in touch with Bellows through there. They make Costco look bad.

Easy to coordinate with via Yelp & text message. Got the work done quickly. Looks good.

Great service! They scheduled me quickly for an estimate and explained everything that needed to be done. The service was completed with out a hick up!  There pricing is very reasonable especially how efficiently they get things done. Now our family can enjoy our swim spa! I now have a go to electrician!

Jon was the representative that called me back quickly after I requested a quote. VERY professional and thorough. Days later I had an electrician scheduled to come out to price the task. Josh was on time! Actually early this is a huge factor for me.
He was professional, covering his shoes and asking what was needed and listened!
He gave me a quote, I though was a little pricey. Then he began to look for discounts and he gave us one for military.
He also wrote up a sensor light to be installed in my hallway!
Days later Tim and Gerry came to do the work.
They also were on time and prepared to work.
They worked hard and did an outstanding job installing a new ceiling fan in our bedroom. Wait when they left that night the fan started making a humming sound!  Oh no! I called the next day and sent an email. Again Jon returned my call and said he would send them out to rectify the issue and he apologized for the problems.
Tim came back asked what was wrong and then went to
Work. Come to find out the switch I purchase was not the right one. Well! Tim went to the store got the right one and fixed the problem No extra charge????!!!!

Brian is knowledgeable and friendly, excellent customer service and great work. I called him in the morning about some electrical repair I needed done and he managed to squeeze us in by the afternoon. He immediately got to work, fixing our wiring issue right away.

This review is overdue but my experience with Odom Electric has been excellent -- every time.  

We first worked with Rob Odom when installing new lighting throughout the kitchen and living room.  Rob is a straight shooter and was professional all the way.  he took care of things like he was working on his own house.  We had special ordered a chandelier that arrived a couple days after the other lighting work was completed and paid.  I was going to put it up since it arrived late -- but he said it was part of the job and came out to hang it.  Aren't contractors supposed to disappear after you pay?.... not Rob.

Later I had to call him up after I drilled into an electrical line while installing shelves in the soon-to-be baby room.  Rob was able to come out -- arrived on time and knocked out the work at a great price.  He didn't bust my chops about my bone-headed mistake and ran a new line in no time.  My pregnant wife was relieved to know we had safe wiring once again.

Last we contacted Odom electric to move some electrical switches and add new outside lighting.  What i really appreciate about Rob is he took the time to come out and assess the job and give me a detailed quote.  He listens and is totally willing to discuss options -- and not just the ones that make it easiest for him.  The work he did was excellent, clean and professional.

I consider myself a competent do-it-myself man (ah ok, the previous drill meets electrical line incident is not representative) but when it comes to electrical work, its awesome having a good electrician I trust to do professional work at a more than honest and fair price.  I don't hesitate at all in recommending Odom Electric to friends and folks needing an electrician.

AVOID AT ALL COST! What a joke. This owner shows up in sandals, doesn't have the right tools and has to borrow mine. He did a hack job in my garage. I needed an outlet installed with a switch. He hacked my dry wall, buried the electrical lines in the drywall and filled it in with joint compound! I'm not an electrician, but that does not seem
Up to code? WTH. I wasted $350 and will have to pay a real electrician to come back and unscrew the work that this idiot did. His van doesn't now have a contractor license number either! I can only blame myself for even letting this guy do the work.

I've used My and his team twice in the last 18 months. They installed our security cameras, our security lights and several interior lights. My is really easy going and I've always felt comfortable around him and his crew. When I informed My today that his guy hadn't yet shown, he ended up driving over to make sure I was taken care of. Minh came today, and despite him being a little late, he's a nice guy and did a good job. Between the two of them making up for lost time, I was happy. I will continue to use My and his team in the future.

I think Arkadiy is a nice guy and he did a great job on a couple small jobs I had that needed fixing. He was great with communication, came when we agreed upon, and price was what he quoted. He is down to earth and knowledgeable about his work. I would definitely use him again for future electrical needs.
