Reviews
We have used Clear Drain several times in the past few years and have always found them to be professional, knowledgeable and always providing quality work. The office manager, Sarah, is especially friendly and helpful and is able to schedule appointments for us in a timely manner. The response time and rates are the best we've ever had. Thank you for great service.
The technician was over smart and thought it was one valve which had issue
I have a live photo of the original leak and now a video of the issue.
Both in which the valve keeps dumping water in the bowl. From black pipe originally and now from the new valve he has installed. So issue is still same water keeps coming in the tank.
I had explained to the guy same thing. He said he understood but insisted the problem is with the fill valve
My warranty company has a max limit which they paid. Now these folks are saying it's a new issue and not accepting that the original issue is not fixed. And so I have to pay out of pocket again.
This is really sad I am down $355 -- $125 out of pocket and $250 cap from warranty

My condo were 40yr+ old and I needed someone to replaced the original shower over tub faucet and 2 shut off valve within the 3 hour time window my HOA gave me (as my unit doesn't have its own water main, the whole building need to shutdown its water service). Clear drain was able to finish the work with 2 ppl on-site and they worked professionally and handled ll the clean up afterwards. I would appreciate their professionalism to get the job done.

Clear Drain has done several jobs for my house over the years, for both sewer and water. I have hired other plumbers now and then but have been less satisfied with them.
Their receptionist returns calls promptly and has a pleasant voice and manner of speaking.
A Los Gatos plumber that does not serve all Los Gatos addresses. 10 minutes from downtown is too much for these lightweights.

Bravo for these guys! Fixed a malfunctioning toilet, traced down water leak, faulty valves under outside window. Nothing was missed--and they are very friendly and helpful. Installed a little pipe outside. What HOA missed, these guys found and fixed. They also have patience with an upset homeowner--who is now calm.
Vladimir and his partner did a great job replacing our corroded pipes and leaking shower valve. I would like to recomend their good quality work and professionalism. A big thanks to Clear Drain Plumbing for wonderful work.
Really poor service from them. We called them to fix a ruptured tap outside my house. First came in and did a half repair saying they'll come back later. Had to be called twice to come back and continue with the job.
Then doubled there charges saying we had to come twice. Stay away.

Called on a Saturday about 4:00 with a plugged line and water coming out from between the bottom of the toilet and tile floor. They arrived in under and hour as promised, Vlad and partner whose name I didn't get. Offered two options, neither cheap but it was the weekend. In less than an hour they had it snaked and the toilet reseated, cleaned up after themselves. Would hire again.
Prompt service. Called at 3:00 pm on a Friday afternoon, was told that they could arrive between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. Two men arrived at 4:30 pm.
I explained that I had tried to snake the main line with a 100' rental and could not clear the line. They stated they had two 75' coils and could go to 150'. A price was quoted and accepted. Work began.
An obstruction was hit at about 120'. They ( Vald and Jay) continued out to 150'. The snake was retrieved and the pipe was clear of water. I tested the drain by running the shower and flushing toilets. All was well.
Clear Drain Plumbing might be a little expensive but the service with an excellent attitude makes it well worth the money.

Fast dependable and reliable. Showed up a half hour before the quoted time of arrival. Used cloth slippers on his shoes as to not make a mess on our hard wood floor.fixed our problem and was done before the time he was suppose to show up!! Definitely will use them again.
Clear drain did a great job fixing my problem with a clogged shower. I felt they were trusted and reliable and straightforward. I also felt that their price was very fair and reasonable. I would use them again
Office was so pleasant, efficient n got a technician at our house in 2 hours. He assessed our disposal problem n gave us 3 options cost wise. Being seniors.i wanted him to purchase the disposal for us based on their expertise. He scheduled a return visit in two days..politely called to say he will be a little late as first stop DIDNT have the deluxe model so was in line at second store. Cleared work area n finished job in 30 min n left kitchen area spotless. I couldn't ask for more..why did I wait a year...will definitely use CLEAR DRAIN PLUMBING again n refer it to friends. Like that it is a family run business
Kudos to this company.

I contacted Clear Drain Plumbing to diagnose and repair a problem with the main line leading to my bathroom, which had caused sewage to seep in from the toilet and shower. I chose them because they did an excellent job for me in the past diagnosing a broken shower pan, which two previous plumbers had failed to do.
The plumber, Jay, arrived at my home on time and quoted me a fair price. He also took care of an unrelated issue with the toilet likely caused by the previous homeowner working on the plumbing himself. After he completed the job, he took the time to give a likely diagnosis for a problem with my outdoor water tank, then explained and showed me first- hand how to fix it.
I couldn't recommend Clear Drain Plumbing enough, especially Jay.
Thank you!
If you are looking for fast, quality service this is the place to call. And they work on the weekends!!
Full disclosure: I bought my water heater from them 8 years ago, and my father has used them too when his crapped out.
So my hot water heater crapped out, and I couldn't stand taking another cold shower. So I called a couple of other companies, but no one was willing to come out on a Saturday. Luckily my dad taped their business card to his heater (genius idea) and gave me their contact info.
I called at 10 am, with a quick answer from the receptionist, she said they can send someone today between 3pm-5pm, OMG I was soooo happy.
Right at 3:15 Jason arrived with a smile and ready to work. After trying to re-light the pilot and doing some other tests, he said that the thermocouple was shot, but could fix it today. I said Whats a thermocouple?, and he explained everything to me. After getting a reasonable quote I said yes. In less than an hour he had everything fixed and working.
I was so impressed I asked him to give me a quote to fix a couple of other things around the house. Looking forward to having Jason back to fix them.
Bottom line: Give them a call. When I did my research 8 years ago, they gave the best quote to install the water heater and now they were the only ones to come on a weekend to help me out.
Thanks Clear Drain Plumbing

When I could get no one else to come, or even return my calls the same day, Clear Drain Plumbing had someone at my doorstep inside of an hour, and my clogged drain cleared inside of two.
This company will be my first call the next time I need a plumbing service! I am one happy camper!
The service was great, courteous and professional, and most of all SUCCESSFUL!
Thank you!

The office answered immediately, and the lady was very helpful. She offered same day service in my preferred time window. This is a family business. Vlad showed up on time and was great at trouble shooting right away. Their prices were fair and Vlad was very professional. We will definitely call them again.
Our sewer water backed up was fixed twice in the past month, the company charged over $800, but water backed up again today.
Fortunately, they came over the next day on the weekend and did hydro jetting again which unblocked the mainline.
Hopefully it'll last sometime this time.

Vlad was great !!! he showed up on time did the job and he was fantastic I would highly recommend this company for any of your drain cleaning out needs
We are SO lucky we found these guys! Jason has come out twice now and fixed a couple of our recent plumbing issues. He's the best!
We just moved into a new house in Los Gatos and unfortunately have had two plumbing issues in two months. Both times we were scrambling to call a plumber at the last minute and they were able to come out the same day, within a few hours. The first time, it was a quick fix on their side and on their way. They worked quickly around lots of people and distractions. It was great to have a friendly, knowledgeable person come out to help us during a stressful situation.
The next time we had to call them it was a bigger and more involved issue. Jason went way above and beyond and figured out the root cause. He took A LOT of extra time to clearly explain things to us and even spent a while talking on the phone to our landlord to explain things firsthand to him. He was by far the best plumber we've had, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, local plumber.
It's refreshing there are still great local companies who can service people the same day and have great customer service/friendly attitude while they do it!!
Thanks Jason and Clear Drain!
I had Leo from Clear Drain plumbing handling 2 different projects in my new house (one earlier this year and this week another one) - Leo is great - he always shows up on time, gives a clear explanation on whats need to be done and pricing and complete the job within the time frame given.
He is working super clean and organized plus he is also a really nice guy :)
highly recommend and will surely hire them again if needed
I recently had Jason from clear drain come out to diagnose bad water pressure in my home. First thing he checked was a prv and told me it was the problem. Didn't try an rip me off like alot of the other big name companies in the area. And charged me a fair rate. Completed the work in 2 hours from arrival to when he left! Thanks Guys! Will definitely recommend!

I am impressed. They responded to my request for help very quickly. They gave me an appointment for the same day. They arrived on time. They gave me an estimate, gave me updates during the work. They did good work. They accepted my credit card for payment. They left my place as they found it but better. I recommend them highly.
Don't waste your time with others , just call Clear Drain.
Had a back up issue and Jason came out to help.
Very knowledgable and efficient.
Fixed the problem , cleaned up and went.
Good price too !
I recommended them to my agents and contractors 'cause I felt that confident.
Juan came out and fixed the drain issue in less than 10 minutes. So happy with this company, and they stand behind their work.
One start is for Serra (She works so hard to make this place run like clock).
The Name of this establishment should be changed to FRAUD Plumbing. Do you ever wonder...
1)Why business address is P.O. Box? Why not, real Home address (or business address)?
2)Why doesn't Jason (if the owner's real fraud name) ever confront customers directly, but Sera (kind, friendly, lovely Japanese lady)
has to do it?
3)Why is the LAST NAME of his son (Val) and Jason, and S. is hidden? Why are you hiding the last name on invoices and other docs?
4)Why Jason's (rude MF) phone number, Val and few others in the company are Unlisted or Unknown or No caller ID... when they call you? What are you hiding?
5)Why aren't they ever on time when they make appointment with you? And, why do they have to reschedule you the LAST MINUTE after you had waited for them for that given time/date appointment?
6)Why do they have to come back and AGAIN & AGAIN to fix the original problem? Why can't you fix the issue once and don't have to come back again?
7)Why the new jobs, with the new customer's name get the immediate attention & immediate appointment (today)
while old problems (they presumably should have fixed the problem before, now is broken again, Jason has to come again) gets
next week appointment?
... We'll let you think the rest..
The technician, Vladimir, was an excellent representative of the company. The job was well done in good time and all my questions answered. I would certainly recommend Clear Drain and plan to call on them for future work.
DH went to Home Depot to price garbage disposal and ask about installation. They recommended Clear Drain. Jason was very professional and punctual. I thought his price to install our disposal was high but we didn't want to call around to get quotes. He picked up the disposal for us at Home Depot and took the old one away. I would recommend this company.

They recently took care of a main sewer line blockage at my home. They came when they said they would, on a Sunday. Their price was reasonable. The fellow who came out was pretty easy to talk to and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need.
The service came with a warranty. It turned out that my line became obstructed again the next day. They sent the same guy out on a Monday night (right when they said they would) and he cleared things up, this time for good (I hope).
I would totally call them again.

Called this company as well as one other (a national name) on New Years Day to address a sewer line clog. The other company failed to come anywhere near their time estimate. Clear Drain was perfectly on time. The tech quickly but carefully diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote and explained the process he would follow. Took him approx 1.5 hours to resolve the issue. No additional charges incurred during his work. Perhaps not the least expensive company around, but they were courteous, skilled, efficient and clean. I recommend this company.
I had a call from Jason and he said he is the manager. He made it clear that he had done some snooping to check on me (wrong BTW!) and threatened to tarnish my image by having his employees, friends and relatives write bad review. Did not give me a chance to discuss and after 4 minutes of his pointless tirade and threats, I hung up. If you still want to do business with these guys, be prepared to give good rating if you are worried about empty threats, even if you are not satisfied with their work or simply grit your teeth and don't let other yelpers know about your grievance.
I was looking for someone to repipe my newly purchased house that had galvanize piping which were corroded inside out. I was getting orange rust water from every faucet. After getting estimates from about 9 places. I decided to go with Jason from Clear Drain. Several things stood out about Jason.
Jason arrived promptly. His estimate was very resonable. While most of the plumbers and contractors gave price in verbally he insisted to give it all in writing.
Jason's work was very good. He finished it on time. It's been 4 years since the job was completed and I am very happy with it. I have used Jason several times since then and he is one of the best.
In my survey, I've written only accolades for the great work by the company, and the staff. I highly recommend Clear Drain Plumbing to anyone for the superior work they do. It is always a pleasure to work with professionals like Sara and Leo. The latter is a genius!

Really superior service. Showed up right on time. Jason knew his stuff and did a great job. I highly recommend this business.
What a pleasure to work with a professionally managed plumbing company. Found these guys on Yelp and the whole team is very organized and thorough. Will definitely recommend them.

We had a blocked drain that needed immediate attention. And it was a Saturday. Fortunately Clear Drain was able to come out in a timely fashion and unclog the drain, much to our relief. They were thorough, courteous and reasonable priced. Hopefully we will not have any plumbing issues in the future, but if we do, we know who to call in Los Gatos.

I called to get a quote on a drain repair, and emailed a very clear picture of the broken pipe. When I called back to schedule the work, they wouldn't give me an estimate. The way they spoke to me was very unprofessional.
They were extremely rude to me when I asked if I can have an estimate in writing.....
Read the other one star reviews....
These guys are fast, but I wouldn't recommend them if you care about the price you pay. For shower/tub valve replacement they charged me $280 ... but later on I had it done for another bathroom for $65
Make sure you get a quote from someone else before giving your job to these guys
My house was built back in the 1920's and the gas range probably dates back to the 70's (almond vs. harvest gold :). The the gas pipe was connected to the range without a shut off valve which is in violation of codes. In addition that pipe stuck out of the ground by at least 2 feet which does not work with the modern ranges. To top things off, my kitchen was designed such that the dishwasher door made some serious contact and scratched the stove door when it opened. Basically, the goal was to shorten the pipe, add a shut off valve, and get a stove as close to the wall as possible.
I had called Nelson twice and left messages with the answering service with no response before giving Clear Drain Plumbing a shot. The gentleman at Clear Drain Plumbing was responsive and able to schedule an appointment for a quote for 7PM the same night, not some ambiguous 2 - 4 hour window when I need to be at my job weeks into the future. The technician, Leo, showed up on time (actually I was late and he waited), was very professional, and wore his booties as not track in dirt. Leo was patient and took the time to explain what needed to be done. He gave me a decent quote, offered to stay do the work on the spot, and was finished quickly.
I had the new gas range installed a couple of days later, and it stuck out an inch past the cabinets which obstructed my ability to open my dishwasher. The guys installing the range blamed in on the pipe being too far away from the wall.
I called the gentleman at Clear Drain Plumbing again to let him know that the range was sticking out to far because of the pipe. He immediately remembered my call, took full responsibility because they understood my goal was to have the stove be as close to the wall as possible, and was able to schedule another 7PM appointment around my schedule. Leo came back out and did some investigating. Although he knew right away that it was not the pipe, he took the time to measure all of the variables and show me. He was able to figure out that the culprit was actually flexible tubing. It was too long, so Leo, after multiple attempts, strategically manipulated it to get the stove as close to the wall as possible. In addition, he actually moved my dishwasher about a half inch so the door could clear the stove without touching.
Thanks to Leo and Clear Drain Plumbing, I have a gas pipe that is to code and for the 1st time since I bought this place, my dishwasher door and stove door are free and clear of each other!
I got 3 different estimate from plumbers to fix a gas leak in the line going to the pool heater, and to also plumb a new gas line into the kitchen for our switch to a gas range.
Jason from Clear Drain showed up on time and was very professional. He quickly took a look at what I needed done and came up with a very competitive estimate. The other two estimates I got were exorbitant, in one case the guy talked my ear off about different kinds of pipes, and in the other I had the feeling I knew more about installing gas lines than he did based merely on my Internet research.
I ended up going with Jason and he showed up on time and completed the job quickly. He's easy to work with and doesn't BS you, a very honest guy. His work looks high quality and he did the repair and new gas line in such a way that they complimented each other and kept the costs down. They guarantee their work for life, and it's guaranteed to pass inspection.
He also gave me a reasonable and competitive estimate on re-piping the house with copper, and when the time comes I won't hesitate to hire him again.
Checked out the reviews - there were only 2 but high ones so I called. This was for a leak that a plumber tried to fix the night before and charged me $75 and did not do anything. Next monring he was not returning my calls so I called Clear Drain.
Jason arrived promptly at 11 Am and gave an estimate and told that a part needed replacement. Charges were higher than normal plumbers I have dealt with in the past. But he was very respectful of the environment, wore shoe covers before he stepped into the house.
Professional service, quick and good. Price was justified. Will do business again.
They were able to get out quickly the same day. Arrived within the 1 hour window I was given and did a great job! We will definitely use Clear Drain again!

These guys are terrific. A+ service in my book.
My family bought an old house, and with an old house came old galvanized pipes. It got to a point where the rust was so bad with the built ups and rust coming in our shower heads. We did not have enough water pressure to take a shower..afraid to cook with the water.
Of course, most places quotes were expensive than we can afford. Finally, i saw an ad for super cheap (at least 2 grand cheaper) than most other plumbing services i got from. It had BBB A+, licensed, guarantee quote. I mean, i was super skeptical.
After making an appointment and got a progressional opinion on what needs to be done or not. I gave them a shot with the project of repiping my home.
The team that came and did the repipe, one of them is Leo. This guy is progressional. He took care of my home like his own. Wore dirt socks and layout floor covering everywhere they will walk to protect my home and keep it clean before starting the work.
Took pictures under my craw-space of all the pipes, tell me i had a leakage that is soaking my bottom parts of the home. Wow. i didn't' even know it was that bad. Once they ripped out the old pipes, it was worst than i expected. The rust was eating through the pipes! Half the pipe was block by rust built ups.
Leo, even tell me what was needed to do to fix the leakage. They did that for free. No charge. I was afraid of my water heater needing replace due to maybe rust inside it too (that's $500 + tax for new one). Leo , told me that it's still good heater..he can flush it clean for me for free. Wow. Save me $500 right there! No upsell. Straight honesty.
Then, I said..i need a cleanout, because my toilets keeps getting stuck and i dont' have one. Some other plumber quoted $700. Leo did it with my repipe for 1/6 the cost. . Then i said the last guy i hired to do the dish washer hookup messed up..it's still flowing water out. He said, no problem. Go that fixed for half the cost of the guy didn't' do it right. Then, i mentioned about maybe installing a new kitchen facet while you guys doing repipe for us. Leo said.tell you what..we do that for you for free. Wow!
They did it fast and clean and professional from start to end. Now we have strong pressure from the outgoing water and no more rust smell or fear.
I had license plumbers and general contractors that promise to do it right etc or come back and fix it. When they do it wrong i call..they said they come..end off keep pushing us off and not come back to redo their failed services. Not Clear Drain..these guys check my new pipes inch my inch for leakage etc before they leave and told us they come back for free to fix anything if it goes wrong. Wow.
I really, can not believe a license service company that really finally do as they advertised. I will for sure keep their number for more work. Wish they do more than plumbing. :)
I saved so much money for such great work. It's just ridiculous how they even make money from me. The copper alone is worth the price i paid. And the extras We do this no charge and You don't need to do that..save some money..is enough to give them A+. Thanks guys!
Happy and super satisfied customer.

I had used another plumbing company for years but felt they were hard to schedule and expensive so I went out on a limb and called Clear Drain. What a breath of fresh air! Scheduling was simple, a nice short one-hour window, and Jason showed up on time, completed the work professionally and for what seemed like a very reasonable price. I won't be going back to my old company now that I've found Clear Drain.
All aspects of the process were excellent. I would recommend their services to anybody who needs plumbing assistance.
We used this company twice and both times we where very pleased, amazing customer service, fast and reliable, Trevin has been very knowledgeable and efficient. Will definitely use their services in the future.

Great. Recommend. Leo came by and diagnosed and fixed in minutes. Very honest. Good integrity.
Jason charged me charged me half of what another plumber charged to snake a main drain... and did a much more thorough job. He correctly diagnosed that the pipe had suffered some terrible evil and needed replacement (we dug and found it to be squashed flat) and was back bright and early the next day to run 55' of new line.
Great guy, great service.
He did some repairs for me and did a good job, and I even referred him to some friends of mine.
A few weeks ago, my water main broke and was gushing water into the street. I called Clear Drain and he said he's too busy to come out and it's not an emergency. Water main broken, not an emergency. OK.
I recently got a new refrigerator and needed the water line hooked up to it. There's a plastic hose coming out of the wall and I didn't know where it was connected and just needed him to connect it to the refrigerator and turn it on.
He came out and said he couldn't figure out where it was connected and said he'd charge me $1,000 to fix it.
I decided to try to figure it out myself and it took me less than 30 minutes to find where it was connected (to the cold water pipe in the garage), hook it up, and turn it on.
**** Response to the owner comment:
Sorry but the facts here are wrong. I never talked to jesse directly, i talked to a teen age girl at the time of our visit. They called for a fridge connection estimate only not for a leak outside. They also have a cement floor home with the fridge on an opposite wall than the kitchen sink with the water supply. They had 1 plastic pipe with no shut-off valve sticking out of the wall. I explained to the girl that to install a new line to the kitchen water supply would require demo of 2 walls and an attic run of the new pipe, this cost could be up to $1000. MY suggestion to her was to have someone climb into the attic and find out where the plastic pipe went to, maybe it was usable. Since i was not there to do any work and was only called for an estimate, and she could not authorize any work , i left at that point. I am sorry that jesse was not there personally because obviously there was a communication problem from me to the girl to jesse. I am glad they took my advise and found the connection as i suggested, but sorry after we had a previously good relationship he didn't every once try to talk to me directly as i had him. Still glad he got it fixed and didn't have to do anything major. Thank you
1) The teenage girl he refers to is my wife. At the time of the visit, she was 31.
2) My review refers to two separate service calls. One was for a broken water main that was gushing water into the street, which he said he was too busy to get to and was not an emergency.
3) The other service call was to hook up my new refrigerator to the existing water supply line. I probably should have just done it myself (which I ended up doing), but I was very busy at the time and had never done it before, so I figured better to have a plumber do it just to be safe.
4) Nobody ever asked him to install a new supply line. I asked him to connect to the existing supply line.
5) There's no way in hell a new supply line (even if I did need one) would have required the demo of two walls. He would just have had to run a new supply line from the refrigerator to any water source, up the wall space and through the attic. I've run speaker and coax wire all around the house, and it's really no big deal. No way should it have cost $1,000 even if it did need to be done. It would have been a 2-3 hour job at most.
6) He never actually looked to see where the other end of the supply line was. There were really only two possibilities - the kitchen sink or the garage. It turned out to be in the garage. Took me less than 5 minutes to figure it out myself. The point is that he came all the way out to my house and didn't even bother to look for it. Oh, and the other end of the supply line had a shut-off valve.
7) There was no communication problem. My wife could have authorized any work (which she was smart enough not to do, considering he was estimating $1,000 for completely unnecessary work). He also could have called my cell phone. He didn't.
Last week, suddenly lost water pressure in my house and found out the water pipe was broken in the ground.
I called three plumbing companies and one gave me a quote with outrageous price tag on it. The other gave me a bit lower than Clear Drain, but the guy who gave me quote was suspiciously friendly that raised a red flag. The guy from Clear Drain seemed very honest guy and price was good so I decided to go with them. They showed up next morning as promised. They work through out the day into the evening so we get the water back. Even it was already into the evening they worked their fingers to the bones to make sure everything in working order and cleaned up well.
Next morning I looked at my front yard and I couldn't tell they were there digging my lawn with huge dirt piles the night before. Their job quality and job performance was huge satisfactory and price stayed as they said. I am well-satisfied!
If I could give these guys 0 stars, I would. The service guys are nice, but very fast, cut corners and very sloppy work. Do not be deceived by their friendly gestures during their walkthrough and be sure to always inspect their work after completion. This company does a half-fast quality work and without a doubt, a dishonest company. The man answering the phone was rude, self-centered, kept asking questions as if I was the expert of plumbing. Why does it do that? How do you know it sounds like that? Or how can you tell it's coming from this pipe? Ok, sorry I called, I was actually looking to see if YOU could help diagnose with the plumbing issues instead of playing 20 questions. If you're are looking for an expensive, un-friendly, dishonest, low quality service repair, call clear drain plumbing of Los Gatos. After they are done, you can file a report to Better Business Bureau just like I did.
* Responding to the Jason's comment:
This review is 100% real. The only one that's fraudulent here is Clear Drain Plumbing. We started to file a BBB complaint and found out there's no guarantee to close down this dishonest company so decided not to waste time. Jason has all of the facts wrong. Here are the true facts and questions to ask before hiring Clear Drain Plumbing:
If Clear Drain Plumbing has over 20,000 customers, why does this company have only a total of 11 reviews and is the lowest rating compared to other bay area plumbing company???
Of the 11 reviews, four of them are 1 star rating and less, which Jason claimed all are from estimates. But as you can see, they are not all estimates. For example, Jesse S. from San Jose had repairs done by Clear Drain Plumbing in the past and was quoted with $1000 to fix something that was unnecessary and actually only took 5 minutes to fix.
Most of the low ratings had similar facts about Clear Drain Plumbing. Rude, unfriendly customer service over the phone, very unprofessional, high estimates, fast sloppy workmanship, and low quality service repair. Coincident? You can be the judge of that.
In all seriousness, don't waste time on Clear Drain Plumbing. Any other plumbing companies are more professional which offers better service than this company. The way Jason tries to rebuttal is childish and exemplifies poor customer service; he's only trying to salvage whatever dignity and business this company has. What Jason should have done in the first place is to provide honest, Quality work, with complete customer service in focus.

Had a problem with the main valve. Found Clear Drain on Craigslist and they came out within the time period they promised.
The price to replace 1 valve is on the high side but they did a good job.

Jason did a very good job on one of my multi-unit apartments in san jose. He had to work with VERY old building/design and pissy tenants, and did a very quick and thorough job. His pricing was and his work was pretty clean. Will consider him for another job shortly.

We are so pleased with the repiping that Jason did for our two-story house. We had a major water leak and needed to have the repipe done quickly and he found time in his busy schedule for us. Jason is very meticulous and did an awesome job. Two of the workers that were at my house cleaning up the water damage and preparing for the construction work that would be needed made comments about how good the repiping looked. We are so lucky to have had Jason do the job. He is a very hard worker and had very reasonable rates. We are very, very pleased with our new pipes.

We hired them to put on a shower fixture and do some odds and ends. the guy put the hose on backwards and never checked his work, this was in a rental property so we did not know this for a week. When I called him back he was nice enough to go over to check it out right away, but then things got worse. He said the parts were defective. When I told him how dissapointed I was that he had not checked his work so that we could have returned the item (which of course by now packaging had been thrown out) he got angry and told me to just get the part call him back and then never call him again. Needless to say we won't be calling him back. My husband took the hose off and turned it around and it works just fine. No defective parts what so ever.
These guys have saved our bacon, TWICE. We've had two emergency clogs (both before we were hosting large dinners, naturally), and both times Clear Drain came over quickly, solved the problem fast, and charged low rates.
EDIT: I'm adding more text in an attempt to get it past Yelp's filter. For some reason a crapload of 5-star reviews have been filtered out of existence. I'm guessing Clear Drain turned down Yelp's advertising offer, and this is their punishment. (It happens, people.)

I hired Clear Drain to repipe our main line a couple years ago. It sprung a small leak recently and they came out and fixed it under the warranty. I also had them do another job that required re-routing a pipe and that's holding up just fine. They honor their warranty and prices are reasonable.
I called a few companies last night I had a problem with my drains some they didn't answer and one told me to wait until the morning and when I called clear drain they told me they they could be here within a hour a they got here in 40min they were professional they figure what was with my drains they were pretty affordable and when they finish they clean where they were working I was pretty happy with their work and next time I have a problem I will call them first

Great service and rapid response! We recently had a blocked shower drain and Clear Drain had a team out to our house in a matter of hours (and we live in the Mountains, an area that some places refuse to service). Juan and Ray were quick to diagnose the problem and repaired the issue in such a way that it would never happen again.

Absolutely love what was our experience! Issue: Leak under kitchen sink, water flooded under cabinet & began to drip onto Hardwood floors. Call 4 other plumbing companies. Couldn't get through 3, left messages (1 called back later), 1 said $150 service charge no matter. Why *****: Called Clear Drain @2:30pm. Got through to dispatcher, avail. that day, 5:30-6:30pm window (1 hr not 2-4 waiting), Leon from Clear Drain arrived by 6:30, solved problem in minutes, hardly any cost by comparison to others.
I found that my water heater was leaking at 9pm the Thursday before a long holiday weekend. I called at 9:38 and was amazed when I got Jason on the phone instead of a machine. He offered to be here the next day at 10am and arrived promptly at 9:58. My 22 year old heater was swapped out and I was back in business.
Jason was prompt, knowledgeable and fun to chat with. Ask him about Japanese toilets . He's my top pick for any future needs!
I had Jason put in a hot water heater and replace some plumbing last week. He was very professional, curteous, and friendly. I'd recommend him to a friend and will use him again. He is great about answering his phone and showing up on time. He's also very clean and makes sure his work looks good.
Live in LG and have routine plumbing needs with tree roots. This past week I contacted Jason at Clear Drain and he arrived exactly when he said he would, gave me a fair price on my drain problem, and was able to come out within the same day. I highly recommend him. While here I asked about the new water heaters that do not have a reserve tank and he was most helpful. I am thinking of taking advantage of the tax reduction for 2010 and installing one.

I will ONLY work with Clear Drain Plumbing. I have used their services for plumbing under my house and for moving a tankless water heater. Each time I have worked with them they have been extremely responsive, professional and excellent service. This is my go-to plumber.

HUGE lifesavers! A pipe burst in my kitchen on a Saturday afternoon. These guys came out within 30 minutes, had the pipe fixed within a very short amount of time and at a very affordable cost. And now I can go back to my Saturday afternoon plans. Major relief!!! I would call on them again in a heartbeat.
I have found an amazing plumber my toilet got clog and I call clear drain and they send someone really fast. The plumber name was Leo he was well dress and was really clean with his job he even wore shoe protectant. He finish in 30 min and I haven't had any problems with my toilet and they gave me warranty. Leo did an excellent job. I will call them if there any problems.
Last month I called clear drain plumbing for an estimate for repipe of my house. Before I called them I got different estimate from other plumbing companies. They gave me a high price and they said they will put me in hold for 2 weeks if I want it with them. So I went to look for plumbers on yellow book and saw clear drain and I gave them a call. They told me they will come with in a hour of when I called. The technician that I had an appointment was early and respectful and had a good attitude since the start. He gave me a good deal and said they will start the next day. They took two days to finish and left my house really clean and all the plumbing perfect. I highly recommend clear drain plumbing.

Leo is quick, reliable and very fair about the quote for the work. We had a couple of small things to fix - he didn't charge for most of it since the parts had to be replaced. Thanks Leo! We will call again!

Got his name from a Craigslist ad for a Water Heater installation. Was initially apprehensive but boy did I get lucky. Jason is awesome. Very professional, gave me a very reasonable price for Water heater installation, got the job done nicely with minimum fuss and even cleaned up the work area before leaving (can't say this about every plumber I have hired before). Highly recommended.
What's awesome about these guys - and we've tried several plumbers in the valley over the years - is that they do what they say, when they say they're gonna do it. What I respect about them is that their pricing always seems to match the time and effort involved - they fixed a sewer line for less than 1/2 what had been quoted from their competitors. Don't bother calling anyone else - and wait if you have to - Clear Drain is the best.

I found Clear Drain Plumbing on Yelp, and I called them as well as two other 5-star plumbers on Yelp for a price quote, and they were by far the lowest price to replace a 50 gallon Water Heater. They showed up at my house on time, took extra care not to damage the flooring and they wore Clean Booties over their shoes, and brought towels to clean up after their work. The owner was came along with his crew and made sure all is well before he took off for another job. Again, best price and outstanding service and what he quoted over the phone is what I paid and no up sell like the other places I called.

I got several quotes to do a copper repipe for our 30+ year old house. Clear Drain was on the high side but I chose them as they had decent ratings on Yelp, bonding, CA State license and workmens compensation insurance. They also offer a lifetime warranty for the workmanship. Jason did the estimate and he was upfront about the costs in writing and did confirm that there would be no unforeseen changes after starting work. The work was performed by Leo who was very professional (booties in the house, laid plastic all over, minimized dirt, etc) The crew was very efficient and the plumbing work is very professional and completed within 2 full days. One item to note is that they will patch up the holes in drywall by mud and tape (not finish it - you have to get a painter to finish it) and we had a disagreement over the wall patch as the drywall wasnt laid flush against the old wall. I felt that it would cost me a lot more to finish the wall due to increased sanding and repair work required to match the replaced drywall. The painter recommended by Leo (not related to Clear Drain Plumbing) was terrific and did a great job on the wall (which was a separate contract). Overall in the end I am very satisfied by Leo's professionalism. He did come twice after the job to check on the wall, minor repair and fix a water hammer sound in the copper pipes and also assured me that they would be available if any issues reoccur. I do see a significant positive difference in our water pressure and hot water distribution after the repairs.
I would rate them at a 3.5 and definitely recommend them for future work but be aware of the post-completion repairs and clarify it in the contract.

Clear Drain saved me. I would give them more stars if I could. I had been experiencing unpleasant sewer back up in my shower and tub. After a horrible experience with Rescue Rooter, who quoted me $2,700 to fix a small portion of underground sewer line, I called Jason at Clear Drain who quoted me $600 to do the exact same job. Jason said that they would be out the next day at 8:00am and it would only take a half day to fix. He was out here at 8:00am and it took him a half of a day to fix, just like he had said. Clear Drain did a perfect job, cleaned up perfectly after they finished and replaced the sewer line. I had no further problems after that. I will call him up every time I need to have anything to do with plumbing or snaking my sewer line to rid the roots which tend to enter the pipes from time to time. Jason and his crew were very professional, knowledgeable, reliable and priced reasonable. He cares about his customers and it shows in his work. It doesn't get better than this, I just wish I found him sooner.
