Clairemont Plumbing Service Plumbing Service
Absolutely first-rate! I had three jobs: a broken garbage disposal; a stopped-up sink; and a leaky hose bib. Marshall immediately diagnosed each problem; explained it clearly; and fixed each one lickety-split. He was fast, thorough, and a complete professional in all ways. Even the lady who makes appointments was wonderful. Their prices are quite reasonable. I used them once before and was just as impressed at that time. You won't do better than with Clairemont Plumbing.

Lefty's Plumbing Plumbing Service
Called mid morning and someone was over mid afternoon. Got right to work and installed two faucets in a reasonable amount of time with no issues. Although the price was a bit more than expected, these to-do list jobs are done without any strain on my back or frustration of something not done perfectly right.

Sherlock Plumbing Heating & Air Plumbing Service
I'd advise against Sherlock Plumbing, Heating & Air

We recently contracted Sherlock Plumbing Heating & Air to install a new 5 ton electric heat pump at our house and while the unit functions well unfortunately the company that installed it does not.

They failed to perform any load calculation to account for adding additional electrical appliances to our house and as a result if other appliances are running it will trip a circuit breaker. When contacted for a solution to this it took several weeks to get any sort of response other than We're looking into it and when we finally did discuss their initial suggestion for a fix contradicted what we initially agreed to (heat pump would connect to the critical load sub-panel which is backed up with batteries) which I declined. Their second suggestion was that we find a friend who is an electrician to troubleshoot it and fix it.

At that point I realized they were useless and am now moving on to find a solution to the issue.

If you choose to work with them make sure you hold them accountable otherwise they'll likely just sell you something and run.

Joshua Plumbing & Drain Service Plumbing Service
It is almost 1 am on a dark and unstormy night as I write this, and Joshua is hard at work fixing the huge leak under the kitchen sink.  I discovered a flood in the kitchen 2 hours ago, rushed to Yelp and found Joshua.  He arrived at our home exactly when he said he would, and after some trouble shooting got right down to it.  Phew!!  A thousand blessings and thanks to the Yelp community and the reviewers for the information about this business.  And thank you Joshua Plumbing.  You deserve 5 gold stars.

Handy Rooter & Plumbing Plumbing Service
I had a kitchen faucet valve that needed replacing because it wouldn't shutoff the water. Trieu was quick to respond via message and come out the next day to swap out both valves to get them both to be quarter turn values. Replacing the valve also took care of an issue where the cold water would stop when turned on too much. Part of the problem came from the feeling that our water pressure was high. They were quick to check on the way out and give a call explaining it was on the high end but not too high to need a fix. Glad I went with Handy Rooter to come out and get the fix.

Affordable Plumbing Services Plumbing Service
I had a toilet that needed a new wax ring on it because it leaked when you flushed it.  It was a difficult job because it was a heavy one piece toilet.  Mike did a great job and was able to replace the wax ring.  He put toilet paper in the toilet and flushed it a few times to make sure there were no leaks.

I liked that Mike responded to my text messages quickly when I initially contacted him.  He asked me a few questions, asked me to send him a picture of the toilet and then gave me a quote on the phone.

While he was here, he also took care of a couple of additional smaller items.  He is honest and reliable and I will be call him for other plumbing needs in the future.

Local Rooter & Plumbing Plumbing Service
These plumbers have been my go-to for a few years now for plumbing emergencies. They are responsive and always available for day-of service. However, they cut corners with their work and it is not up to code.

A few jobs have not had issues, but the last few have brought headaches. An outside spigot they replaced immediately split open and was leaking for who knows how long. Duy came and replaced it within a day of the break being discovered, and he said it happened because the spigot was poor quality (then why did they use it in the first place?) and he replaced it with a better quality US-made one (why wasn't that installed to begin with?). I later hired them to install a new kitchen faucet and they recommended updating the pipes leading to the sink with copper from the original galvanized. I was confused because they had previously (at the same time as updating the pipes coming in and out of the water heater) said they had already replaced all the pipes with copper...so I had them do that, and they assured me that the only pipes not upgraded from galvanized to copper were going to the laundry sink & machine (same line) but still in good shape and I didn't need to upgrade them yet. They insisted against replacing the pipes in the wall because it was a lot more work (and money, sure) and instead insisted on drilling holes through the floor, and it was frustrating they weren't open to do whatever I wanted and really just wanted to do the easier way. They replaced everything under the kitchen sink, even the drain plumbing, and a few months later we discovered the (flexible piped) drain wasn't even attached and could be pulled away easily! Duy came out to fix this when we complained, but why wasn't it done right to begin with?! Well at the end of that, I was repeatedly assured that everything was copper updated and I shouldn't need to call them again for a long time. Well a year later, I'm in the beginning stages of a home remodel and my contractor sends me a photo of the plumbing under the house. It's a hodge podge mess of 3 types of pipes! One segment goes from plastic, briefly to copper (for the water heater), and then back to plastic, leading to the kitchen where copper goes into the house. What the actual fork! I paid for all of that to be upgraded to copper, and it was not! Now to get my remodel to pass inspection, I'll have to redo the whole thing to be up to code. After some arguing with Duy, who told me the plumbers who did this had already been fired (not a good sign), he finally gave me a refund of the repipe jobs, which I can only help covers the cost of redoing it all the right way.

Long story short, they will give you a quick and cheap fix, but it will only be a spare tire to get you to the next breakage so you have to call them again. They came through for me to fix breakages all throughout my home (including clearing a shower clog in the evening), but half their work has broken soon after, and the preemptive on-demand repipe job was a lie and not to code. If you know plumbing and can call them on their BS (because they almost certainly will try to fleece you), they're a quick and cheap option for one-off plumbing jobs, but they may not be up to code and may cause you problems if you ever need to pass a permit inspection down the road. If all you need is a drain unclogged, I 100% recommend them.

Robertson Plumbing Plumbing Service
Bruce and crew came to look at repair a cracked drain line in the bathroom. Bruce said he couldn't repair the crack based on it's location and that damage could be done to the main line as it is 60 years old. He contacted his buddy Rick at Matrix Plumbing to come out and put a camera down the main line to have a look. I looked on as they did this. Interesting thing that I found out a day later was that Rick looked at a plumbing issue at my brother's house. The initial response since his camera was BROKEN was to bust open their walls to find out what was going on. Glad my brother called for a second opinion since his problem was solved by snaking the line.

Back to my problem.. .Bruce and now Matrix Plumbing said they needed to trench inside my house, from one end to the other and replace the main line based on what they saw on the camera that suddenly worked. In an earlier conversation, Bruce said that you'd never want to trench your house and gave me several reasons why. But all of the sudden, trenching needed to be done immediately. Bruce said the line couldn't be sleeved or washed/cleaned out because it was too brittle and could crumble if we went that route.  Bruce and Matrix Plumbing said that this would take approximately two weeks and that my floors would be ripped up and drywall removed. After an insane estimate of approximately $30,000 from Bruce,  we obviously got a second and third opinion. Both of those companies allowed me to watch as they put the camera down the line. First off, what I saw on their cameras (which turned out to be a very good thing) looked nothing like what I saw from Rick's camera.

BOTH COMPANIES SAID I HAD NO ISSUES OR DAMAGE TO MY MAIN LINE! Yes, it is a 60 year old cast iron pipe. Both companies provided us with guidance to be proactive and preventative with the old aged pipe and it was nothing remotely close to $30,000!

Do your research and get several quotes when thinking about getting work done by Robertson plumbing.
