I had a clog from the weather recently and tried someone else but they were unable to unclog our drain.  Khoa came in w his Hydro-jet and had the clog cleared in no time.  I will be calling Khoa for any more needs in the future.

I had a drain clog on my property. I did not sewer clean out. I have had couple of rooter companies exploit the situation. When I spoke to khoa from capitol plumbing, i figured he is the right guy to take care of it. Patiently explained what he is planning to do and have a fair estimate without trying to take advantage of situation.
It was raining, within an hour he and his team member showed up, went in crawl space, detected piping, installed 2 way sewer lateral clean out and did hydro jetting. Very hard working team at fair price.
I would be very happy to refer him. Job well done.

I called Capitol Plumbing and told them our sewer line was clogged by roots. They told me they could clear the line and if not they wouldn't charge me. Who even says that??? I asked them to come out, and later that same day they showed up, put a camera down the line, and cleared the roots. In about an hour they were done and the sewer line looked perfect. I couldn't possibly give them a higher rating. You won't go wrong with Capitol!

Khoa is such an amazing person. I called early in the morning with little to no knowledge about an issue with a clog that my parents had been trying to fix for a while and he was able to understand the issue and the layout of the house just by asking me a couple of questions!! He arrived on time and was very respectful while entering the house by putting on shoe covers !! He was then able to help me trouble shoot and figure out the issue so i could present it to my parents. Without his help I don't think I could've gotten my parents to proceed on with trying to fix the issue! He is all that the reviews say he is ! I cant wait to have my parents call to see just how amazing Khoa is !

Grateful to have found Khoa and his partner.  I had a pipe leak in between the laundry room and garage.  The cleanout valve was broken and unfortunately it was under the foundation slightly.  Khoa assessed a way to work around my water heater (which was in the way of the leaking pipe) and minimized the piping configuration to best fix the problem.  He is  real up front and guarantees his work.  Love Khoa's punctuality, work ethic, fair pricing and work quality.  Khoa does the work himself generally and/or does final inspection.  They even recemented the concrete, patched the dry wall and cleaned up after the job.  Left area clean.  Highly recommend!   Thank you!

Finding Khoa and his partner was a true blessing. Our sewer pipe was backed up and our bathroom was flooded and it continued to spew out water all night and morning. We tried desperately to try to fix it ourselves with no luck. We even rented a 75 ft snake and it still didn't help. I decided it was time to let a professional take care of it. I didn't know any plumbers nor did any of my family members or friends so I went on Yelp. As usual I looked for ones with the best reviews. I found a few, one of which said they were busy and couldn't help today and another that didn't answer the phone. I finally tried Capitol Plumbing as they had a lot of great reviews, and now I know why.

Khoa and his partner came out right away as I informed him that this was sort of an emergency. He looked around the outside of the house to look for our Clean Out which every home has. We couldn't find it ourselves and we looked everywhere. Khoa even looked around our neighbors' yards to see where there's was located because the houses around our street were built with the same plans. Unfortunately, he couldn't find it. He offered a solution that he would try and if it didn't work he wouldn't charge me. That alone was amazing. Most plumbers would charge you just for coming out and looking around. Khoa offered his services free of charge if it didn't work.

He tried three times to unclog our sewer drain. On the 3rd attempt he did it! We were so happy because we knew if all else failed we would have to resort to drastic and costly measures. Thanks to Khoa and his partner we averted that and everything worked out and at such a very reasonable price. They even cleaned our flooded bathroom and wiped the floors. Amazing!!

I would give Khoa and his partner 10 stars if I could. I'm definitely keeping his number in my address book. I highly recommend Khoa and the Capitol Plumbing team. Best work and even better service!

I recommend Capitol plumbing! I called the owner, Khoa, for a broken sewer pipe that was found under my house during termite inspection. The inspector found standing water and human waste due to the broken pipe. Khoa arrived right away to inspect. He explained exactly what he will do to solve the problem and how long it will take. We had another quote that was much more expensive.
Khoa did an excellent job. He sent me before and after  pictures from under the house. He is very respectful- wearing mask and covering his shoes when entering the house. He cleaned the area after too.

Thumbs up for Khoa!
Our sewage pipe under our crawl space broke and Capitol Plumbing came to rescue. It was  a huge mess and all the stink came out.
They drained the dirty water, located the broken pipe and anastomosed it. Dried the area with huge fans and they came back and checked area after a week. They applied chemicals to the area and voila! Job well done Khoa and assistant!

Friendly and fast, cool camera technology. They tried to snake from outside first, which I appreciated but ended up having to go from in the house. No more clog and I got piece of mind seeing the sewage line was clear of clogs.

I had 11 companies quote my project, and received all kinds of responses. If you are in need to build a laundry room and the drain system requires a lot of digging, and if you are looking for a competitive and honest price, Khoa is the person.
He is professional, detail-oriented, and responsive. Many affordable companies are not affordable at all; Khoa uses the same good materials and offers half the price. Many honest companies added price after we showed interest, while Khoa offered extra service and advice. He understood quickly the situation and did all he could to help us achieve our goals within our budget.
He showed up on time. His work was quick, efficient, organized, and clean. While his team is professional, Khoa still comes to the site and does work by himself - I think this is a very important indication of work quality.
I am very satisfied with the result and would definitely recommend him to my friends in the future!

Khoa replaced our house's pressure regulator as well as two gas valves that were leaking. He was very responsive to my messages and his quotes were affordable, but more importantly I liked that he asked detailed questions about the work beforehand (what size are the pipes, what material, etc.). It gave me the confidence to know that he was going to get the jobs done right the first time, and sure enough he did!

Seems thorough and honest.  We called him for some toilet clogging issues, believing we had a sewer line backup.  He showed up promptly, asked many questions, and spent a while trying to diagnose the problem, including climbing up onto the roof, and snaking one of the toilets.  We were impressed with his thoroughness, and also that he recommended we replace our toilets (he doesn't replace toilets so there was no financial incentive), instead of engaging in a likely more expensive sewer cleaning service which might not solve our problem.   We offered to pay him for coming out but he waved it off.  My impression is that he is thorough and honest and does not charge for work that he doesn't think needs to be done.  

After our toilets are replaced, if we still are experiencing flushing issues we will definitely give him a call.

I am sure there must be more than two plumbers in the San Jose are who are technically competent, who don't upsell, and who look for cost effective but code-compliant solutions. I don't know where the rest of them are, but Khoa is one of the two I do know.

I first hired Khoa a couple of years ago, based on Yelp reviews, to deal with a drain line issue. He was able to solve the problem despite the 80 year-old cast iron pipe that I suspect some plumbers would not have risked trying to open up--or would have charged a premium to deal with.

Then, recently, my water main burst, and my wife did the Yelp research. When Khoa showed up, I said Hey, I know you! Khoa fixed the water main, and then a second major problem a few weeks later, all at a fair price, and with what seems to be really solid work. I had another plumber in to do some fixture work of a kind that Khoa doesn't do, and he was impressed with Khoa's work.

Khoa is polite and quick to respond to my texts. He also has a policy of not charging for a visit if he can't fix your problem. This was our second time having him over. Our shower had been draining slowly for months but miraculously unclogged itself after we poured Green Goblin down the drain (for the fifth time!) before Khoa arrived. When he tested the drainage and it worked fine, he didn't charge us a penny. We'll be using his services in the future.

* I called Khoa last Sunday for a clogged & backed up kitchen sink that was ready to overflow onto the kitchen floor.  He replied my text shortly with his next available spot in 3 hours. I immediately grabbed the spot bc I had the best experience with him two years ago, and he's a very honest and humble person!  (See my other review of Capitol Plumbing & Hydro-Jetting Svc on 1/24/2019)
* Khoa and his team show up on time. But since there's no clean out, they had to remove the pipes from under the sink, and snaked from there all the way back. Very relieved and happy he unclogged the sink, put back the pipes, tested and made sure the drain was completely cleared

A few weeks ago, we experienced this loud, violent shaking noise whenever we turned on the faucet or flushed the toilet.  I immediately went on Google and searched what it could be -- turns out it seemed to be potentially a 'water hammer' which happens when there's too much pressure in your water pipes.  Thinking I could self-resolve this - I followed some simple instructions by turning off the water, letting all the water from the house, and then turning back on the water.  For a period of time, this resolved it but unfortunately, it happened again the following day.  I followed the same steps and it fixed itself for another week.  But after a period of a little over a week and it happening 3 times now, I knew something was definitely off and we needed a plumber ASAP.

Desperate and anxious, I went on Yelp and called several plumbers to immediately come see what's wrong.  Despite being busy and working on another job that day already, Khoa was the ONLY one that committed to coming the same day to check out what was wrong, and with a free estimate.  In fact, he even came an hour earlier than his target time frame!

When he arrived, he was very calm, poised, and polite.  He and his partner took the time to troubleshoot what was wrong.  Throughout the entire process, he patiently explained what they were doing and answered every question that my dad & I had.  Because it was an hour earlier than I had anticipated, I still had work meetings but he made sure that he took photos of what was wrong & texted me to make sure that I was informed (while also talking to my dad throughout the entire process).  Turns out (unsurprisingly) our water pressure was wayyyy higher than it should be -- 90 psi+  and our water pipes/valves were old and degrading.  He consulted with us, and then followed with working through price estimates.  After we talked through all the details, he had all the parts ready, replaced our water pipe/valves, and helped us re-adjust to a more appropriate water pressure.  He also took the time to make sure that we had just enough pressure to turn on our showers/faucets and even had us try to make sure before he left.  While he couldn't definitively confirm that this will resolve the loud, violent shaking noise, he did say that the water pipes/valves needed fixing regardless and likely is the cause of the issue.  He let us know that if the house continues to have the sound, that he'll have to come back and open up a wall to see what's wrong.  Fortunately, what he suspected is likely the culprit because I waited almost 3+ weeks to write this review to see if the loud, violent shaking noise would come back and it hasn't.  Fingers crossed it doesn't come back, but even if it did, without a doubt I would call Khoa back to help us take a look at the issue!

I appreciated that he took the time to come out quickly on such short notice and fix everything on the spot.  He honestly didn't have to and could've ended his working day normally, but he decided to stay out for an extra hour+ to help us out.  Thank you so much Khoa!  I would not hesitate to call him back if I had to and highly recommend him to anyone needing a plumbing service done!

Khoa did an excellent job finding a water leak under my house. He took photos of corroded pipes which I would have never discovered. He replaced with new copper piping. This is an honest professional that will tell you not to spend money if the situation is not dire. Very competitive pricing. He does good work and is very focused. Khoa from Capitol Plumbing was very hard working and got my drain working quickly!  I believe he offers a fair price and does quality work.

I thought I had a simple drain problem and got estimates from 10 companies.

Many plumbers wanted to charge just to look or was just asking for a high price.  Capitol Plumbing & Handyman Services gave the most straight forward answer and offered to come out right away!

It turned out the issue was a little bigger, but Khoa worked his butt off and got it working in a day!

Great communication too.  Messaged or called as needed.

I woke up abruptly at 4am to the sound of running water. Come to find out a pipe in my crawl space had broken and was gushing water into the crawl space. I turned off our water and then as soon as I got up in the morning contacted Khoa who promptly replied asking questions about the issue. They came over later in the morning to assess the issue further and give me a quote. Reasonable price and very responsive service. The repairs were completely quickly and professionally (the covered the floors since they'd be tracking dirt in and out from the crawl space). I will definitely be calling on them for future plumbing needs (fingers crossed not anytime soon though!!). Thank you Capitol plumbing team!! You saved the day.

I'm glad I found Khoa and his team. They get great recommendations on Yelp for a reason. They are professional, courteous, honest and do great work!

I needed to have a pressure regulator valve replaced as it was leaking. Khoa responded quickly and came out the next day to replace it. He gave me an up front estimate which was accurate and competitive. The team did a fantastic job and it was quick, too!

Awesome, Khoa solved my issue with hydro jetting. I had another plumber try to snake it out but it couldn't.  Talked to Khoa on yelp about what happened and he noticed that he can fix the clog. It saved me from installing a city clean out. Very honest and highly recommended if you have plumbing issue.

I have found my go to plumber!!! Capitol plumbing is responsive, hard working, HONEST, reasonably priced, friendly, explains the process excellently, and just downright great. After having a few bad experiences with other plumbers, Capitol has restored my faith that there are a few honest plumbers out there. They created a much needed sewer clean out access and cleared out my sewer lines. They also explained what is the city's responsibility vs. mine.  Thank you Capitol Plumbing for your services!!! Khoa installed a two-way cleanout for me.

He replied my message quickly, came to my house to do the evaluation in couple days, and let me know what he would do for installing a two-way cleanout in my front yard. He might not be the cheapest contractors you can find, but the quality of his work is absolutely top-notch. Be sure to talk to him if you have any plumbing issues, you won't regret!

Messaged my issue (toilet made weird noises and water sounded like it was continually running) to few plumbing services in area and Capitol Plumbing responded promptly and conveniently. Requested picture, sent, and gave well priced quote, done. No consultation mess or initial fee that a few other service companies requested. Came by house quickly as scheduled and fixed issue. Professional, reliable, and friendly, even said hello and interacted with my 3 year old. Kind of regret not paying more given how great they were.

Will definitely contact them again should I need anything else plumbing related!

We had a whole house drainage problem all of a sudden and discovered we only had a 2 w/d cleanout not a 4 main line cleanout.  
They squeezed us into their schedule very quickly, and the worker crawled under our house to get a layout of the pipes.  Once he confirmed all bathrooms were indeed affected, he drew a simple diagram to show us where the clog was between (which was in the way out to the sewer line).  
They then created a new cleanout for us at the exact right location (which was NOT in line either s in the sidewalk), and flushed out the clog, verifying that the 60 year old drain was still in good shape and unobstructed.  
They laid tarp to minimize any mess, cleaned up, and explained things well to us.

My home had pretty bad backups in both bathrooms.  So I had an emergency situation in the midst of our Shelter-In- Place orders.  I was freaking out!  Khoa was my third plumber call and I was so lucky that he said he was still working and doing business for the day.  

Khoa arrived on time, and ready to assess the situation. Actually,  he asked me all the right questions over the phone to make a good assessment, but he was more than willing to check out the issue in person.  Turns out, my little old house doesn't have an accessible clean-out system in order to fix the back-up problem inside the house. Khoa gave me different scenarios to get a somewhat big project done. It was daunting to think about how much work needed to be done in this emergency situation. However, I recalled many mild back-ups in the past... we just quick fixed it by snaking the drains, using Draino, etc... I now realize that I need a major fix to prevent the problem from happening again.  

In this case, Khoa really took his time to explain the pros and cons of the different scenarios to me. He really educated me on basic plumbing and sewage requirements, and I felt confident with the decision we made. He consulted me properly and I'm so glad I rolled with it because I have major peace of mind knowing we have a solution to the ongoing problem now!  

A+ to Khoa and his team for getting the job done in a quick amount of time! We were able to use our bathrooms in just a few hours!! ;)

One day in my kitchen, all of a sudden water started leaking from one of the light fixtures and we were in an urgent need of a plumber to come over and find the source of the leak and fix it. I called a couple of places and Capitol Plumbing was the fastest to respond and also had amazing reviews. I spoke to the owner Khoa and he was quick to come over within an hour of my call which I really appreciate. Above the kitchen is the master bath and we had been having some issues with our toilet as well. He had to cut out a piece in the kitchen ceiling drywall to figure out the issue was due to the toilet. A part had to be replaced in the toilet to stop the leak and he did that. He was in and out quick. I highly recommend Capitol Plumbing for any of the plumbing needs!

Had an issue where I had my son flush a hand towel down the toilet. I tried to auger out myself but couldn't get it out, and I had to get to work.  Called SJ Drain & Main as well as Capitol Plumbing and they both gave some tips on how to address the issue. Khoa gave a lot of detail on how to fix the problem without having the towel get in the main line.

I dismantled and removed the toilet myself and managed to pull out the towel that was wedged at the bottom.  These guys are awesome! Definitely worth a 5 star review! Thank you Khoa!

Used services for our backed up pipes. Very reliable and fast service and quick appointments. pricing is very reasonable. other plumbers said they could send someone first for quotes and schedule us later in week but he came the next morning when i called late at night. He also installed our garbage disposal at the same time for a better prices than other plumber quoted. Had stuff I wanted to replace for our shower like facet but he said it was easy and recommended I do it instead of paying for more work. I tried to do shower faucet and found out he was correct! the shower faucet was very simple and fast to do on my own.  he is very honest and does not try to upcharge for unnecessary work. very highly recommended. he also went beyond and was able to find us a reasonable concrete guy

First, let me say I wasn't looking specifically for these guys. I had clicked on another highly reviewed company and I used the yelp get a quote feature. And that yelp quote feature led me to these guys. (PS: the get a quote feature is bomb dignity!!!)

So I had a backed up kitchen sink. I tried all of the normal things to try an unclog it. I even tried to snake it for what felt like two hours. No luck.

I hop on yelp and find one guy with a picture of a low price on his page. I call them and he said because my kitchen isn't on the first floor, it'll be x dollars more.

That number more than I thought was fair, so I continued on. I then say the get a quote feature on another page and decided to try it.

Within minutes, I was contacted by about 10 companies, included by these guys.

Communication was quick while these guys were not the absolute cheapest, I trusted them the most. And they were one of the cheaper options.

I was given a window for when they would arrive. And exactly at the beginning of the window, Khoa arrived. The first thing I noticed was his blanket which he would lay on the ground to help protect the floor. Next he put on booties over his work shoes.

He came upstairs and immediately got to work. His first attempt at snaking the drain, all the way down to 20' didn't work. And his second attempt, down to 25' almost didn't either, until all of a sudden, a whoosh of water and the sink is draining as fast as I've ever seen it drain.

I feel like he spent way more time than he had planned, and he stuck to his word and charged me exactly what he quoted me over the yelp message.

I signed the work order which doubles as my receipt and he told me that there was a 30 day guarantee. WHAT!!! 30 day GUARANTEE!!! I was blown away. How are you going to offer a guarantee on something like a drain that I can screw up and block up again. Regardless, I was already planning on giving him 5 stars, but this just solidified my impression of him.

The next day, Khoa messages me and asked if the sink was still draining. Seriously, this is top notch service.

It's been about a week and the sink is doing great!

I will absolutely call them again if we ever have any plumbing issues.

Messaged my issue (toilet made weird noises and water sounded like it was continually running) to few plumbing services in area and Capitol Plumbing responded promptly and conveniently. Requested picture, sent, and gave well priced quote, done. No consultation mess or initial fee that a few other service companies requested. Came by house quickly as scheduled and fixed issue. Professional, reliable, and friendly, even said hello and interacted with my 3 year old. Kind of regret not paying more given how great they were.

We had a whole house drainage problem all of a sudden and discovered we only had a 2 w/d cleanout not a 4 main line cleanout.  
They squeezed us into their schedule very quickly, and the worker crawled under our house to get a layout of the pipes.  Once he confirmed all bathrooms were indeed affected, he drew a simple diagram to show us where the clog was between (which was in the way out to the sewer line).  
They then created a new cleanout for us at the exact right location (which was NOT in line either s in the sidewalk), and flushed out the clog, verifying that the 60 year old drain was still in good shape and unobstructed.  
They laid tarp to minimize any mess, cleaned up, and explained things well to us.

My home had pretty bad backups in both bathrooms.  So I had an emergency situation in the midst of our Shelter-In- Place orders.  I was freaking out!  Khoa was my third plumber call and I was so lucky that he said he was still working and doing business for the day.  

Khoa arrived on time, and ready to assess the situation. Actually,  he asked me all the right questions over the phone to make a good assessment, but he was more than willing to check out the issue in person.  Turns out, my little old house doesn't have an accessible clean-out system in order to fix the back-up problem inside the house. Khoa gave me different scenarios to get a somewhat big project done. It was daunting to think about how much work needed to be done in this emergency situation. However, I recalled many mild back-ups in the past... we just quick fixed it by snaking the drains, using Draino, etc... I now realize that I need a major fix to prevent the problem from happening again.  

In this case, Khoa really took his time to explain the pros and cons of the different scenarios to me. He really educated me on basic plumbing and sewage requirements, and I felt confident with the decision we made. He consulted me properly and I'm so glad I rolled with it because I have major peace of mind knowing we have a solution to the ongoing problem now!  

A+ to Khoa and his team for getting the job done in a quick amount of time! We were able to use our bathrooms in just a few hours!! ;)

One day in my kitchen, all of a sudden water started leaking from one of the light fixtures and we were in an urgent need of a plumber to come over and find the source of the leak and fix it. I called a couple of places and Capitol Plumbing was the fastest to respond and also had amazing reviews. I spoke to the owner Khoa and he was quick to come over within an hour of my call which I really appreciate. Above the kitchen is the master bath and we had been having some issues with our toilet as well. He had to cut out a piece in the kitchen ceiling drywall to figure out the issue was due to the toilet. A part had to be replaced in the toilet to stop the leak and he did that. He was in and out quick. I highly recommend Capitol Plumbing for any of the plumbing needs!

Had an issue where I had my son flush a hand towel down the toilet. I tried to auger out myself but couldn't get it out, and I had to get to work.  Called SJ Drain & Main as well as Capitol Plumbing and they both gave some tips on how to address the issue. Khoa gave a lot of detail on how to fix the problem without having the towel get in the main line.

I dismantled and removed the toilet myself and managed to pull out the towel that was wedged at the bottom.  These guys are awesome! Definitely worth a 5 star review! Thank you Khoa!

Used services for our backed up pipes. Very reliable and fast service and quick appointments. pricing is very reasonable. other plumbers said they could send someone first for quotes and schedule us later in week but he came the next morning when i called late at night. He also installed our garbage disposal at the same time for a better prices than other plumber quoted. Had stuff I wanted to replace for our shower like facet but he said it was easy and recommended I do it instead of paying for more work. I tried to do shower faucet and found out he was correct! the shower faucet was very simple and fast to do on my own.  he is very honest and does not try to upcharge for unnecessary work. very highly recommended. he also went beyond and was able to find us a reasonable concrete guy

First, let me say I wasn't looking specifically for these guys. I had clicked on another highly reviewed company and I used the yelp get a quote feature. And that yelp quote feature led me to these guys. (PS: the get a quote feature is bomb dignity!!!)

So I had a backed up kitchen sink. I tried all of the normal things to try an unclog it. I even tried to snake it for what felt like two hours. No luck.

I hop on yelp and find one guy with a picture of a low price on his page. I call them and he said because my kitchen isn't on the first floor, it'll be x dollars more.

That number more than I thought was fair, so I continued on. I then say the get a quote feature on another page and decided to try it.

Within minutes, I was contacted by about 10 companies, included by these guys.

Communication was quick while these guys were not the absolute cheapest, I trusted them the most. And they were one of the cheaper options.

I was given a window for when they would arrive. And exactly at the beginning of the window, Khoa arrived. The first thing I noticed was his blanket which he would lay on the ground to help protect the floor. Next he put on booties over his work shoes.

He came upstairs and immediately got to work. His first attempt at snaking the drain, all the way down to 20' didn't work. And his second attempt, down to 25' almost didn't either, until all of a sudden, a whoosh of water and the sink is draining as fast as I've ever seen it drain.

I feel like he spent way more time than he had planned, and he stuck to his word and charged me exactly what he quoted me over the yelp message.

I signed the work order which doubles as my receipt and he told me that there was a 30 day guarantee. WHAT!!! 30 day GUARANTEE!!! I was blown away. How are you going to offer a guarantee on something like a drain that I can screw up and block up again. Regardless, I was already planning on giving him 5 stars, but this just solidified my impression of him.

The next day, Khoa messages me and asked if the sink was still draining. Seriously, this is top notch service.

It's been about a week and the sink is doing great!

I will absolutely call them again if we ever have any plumbing issues.

He did a detailed triage of the problem, figured out the most likely point of clog, gave us a detailed explanation and helped hydro jet and show us on camera tree roots which were the reason for the clog. He was very patient on a Sunday night and helped hydro jet twice to unclog as much as possible. Highly appreciate his effort !

Another stellar job by Khoa and his crew. He helped install a 2-way sewer cleanout on our property which we needed badly to clear out roots that had clawed into the pipes and would potentially cause clogs repeatedly. Did the whole job in a methodical and clean manner while giving us the breakdown in detail. Put the soil and excavated lawn back neatly as well! Snaked all the roots out and showed us with his camera clean drains lines for the whole property going both ways inside the property and to the city access line.  We can poop in peace now, thanks Khoa!

I called Khoa for a second opinion because another plumber I had called to clear out a clog recommended i replace my drain pipes to permanently remove an object that was causing an 80% clog... which was going to cost several thousands of dollars (the pipes are old and probably have a few years left in them). When Khoa came out to check out the issue he said he could replace the section of the drain pipe that had the clog which costed only a fraction and was able to complete the job the next day. It was very refreshing to find an honest person who won't just try to take your money. Khoa (owner) is the Sherlock Holmes in Plumbing and I'm not kidding. Long story short: He saved us tens of thousands of dollars and the troubles and anxiety along with the fixing with his honesty and professionalism.

Here's the long story.
Last year, our sewer was stuck and we called up a company (let's call it company W). The team from company W found some roots in the pipe beneath one of our toilets and they proposed to dig up the concrete and replace the pipe. With no experience in handling plumbing issues, we bought in, thinking it might be the right thing to do given other two consultations gave similar suggestions. Company W dug up all the concrete around the toilet, made the fix and charged us thousands. After the fix, they checked the pipe with a camera and said it looked OK. There might be a tiny bit of root in the later section in the main line pipe but it should be fine to last for quite some years.
This year, we found roots again in the later section. We called up the same company W to inspect. Two guys showed up (M and A, A was part of the team who did the job last year). Without fully pinpointing where the roots came in, M started talking about how serious it was and proposed similar fix as last time: dig up all the concrete along the pipe and replace it. Except this time it would be all the concrete along the pipe and would go across two rooms. He also talked about how contractors would charge us 20-30k if you find some to do the job; but they would try their best to save our foundation structure and the walls. M said he would send the quote next day.
We felt something was fishy. Why didn't they pinpoint where the crack was first before proposing such a destructive plan? And didn't they tell us things would be OK for some years after the fix last year? Then through a friend's referral, we found Capitol Plumbing. Khoa showed up with another plumber in the weekend morning. After hearing detailed description from us, they first spent more than 30min checking the routing of the whole sewer system by running facet water. They had a plan. Then they spent the next 1.5 hours cleaning the roots and further diagnosed where the root entrance was. After they cleaned up everything, Khoa told us how to maintain root free in the sewer. He also told us similar stories about how other plumbing companies exaggerating situations and talking customers into doing much bigger projects than necessary.

Khoa charged us very reasonable price in the end. Most importantly, he saved us all the trauma going through a destructive project.

There is 1 word that describes Khoa very well. Professional. And definitely at its finest. I was dealing with a bad main line leaking problem. Khoa responded to my call, calmly asked the right questions, and went over to analyze the issue promptly. I had a clogged kitchen sink all weekend and could not clear it. I found Khoa on Yelp and sent a text message on Monday morning. He was able to come by within a few hours and understood the problem. He was clean, worked efficiently, and snaked the line successfully. After filling the sink with hot water, he showed me the drain was clear and emptied the sink with great suction power. Kitchen pipe was backed up and the first plumber opened the cap from the exterior of the house. The pipe/cap broke because it was badly eroded.  First plumber unblocked the pipe but water was then leaking from the exterior of the house. He said it costs $3xx to get a specialist to look at all the pipes in the crawlspace and to take pictures.  I then found Khoa through fb recommendations, read the reviews here and decided to go with him after the initial consult. For sure he didn't fail us! I called him in the morning and he came to provide a consult few hrs later. He came on time, spent 1.5 hrs in examining all the pipes, took pictures and videos and explaining to me what work is needed at 0 costs.  He was patient and sincere. He responded to our texts promptly.  On the two days of work, he arrived earlier than promised. He protected all the floorings and corners of the walls from the entrance door to the crawlspace. He walked slowly every time when he came out from the crawlspace so to minimize the dust spreading all over the house. He replaced our kitchen and laundry pipes as well as created a two way clean out. All in all, our pipes are fixed and we are happy customers.

The excellent experience I got from Capitol Plumbing compelled me to leave this review. Khoa is great at plumbing and even better as a person!

Long story short - I was told to replace my toilet by another plumber. I hired Khoa to come install a new toilet but assessed the problem and said he could replace the a part to solve the issue. He could have made at least 3x the money by installing the two toilets I had originally planned. But he gave me a fair price and an honest recommendation. You can only get this experience from real down to earth, genuine people like Khoa.

He's my new go-to plumber. Don't pass this guy up!

I called Khoa again after using him two years ago to fix a clog at my Mom's house. This time, he discovered a clog between the house and the main sewage line which was leaking through a release valve in our front yard. Khoa quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it and even cleaned up the leaking sewage that had been overflowing from our yard onto the sidewalk. I had a major sewer line blockage that rendered all the plumbing in the house unusable because of water backing out from the sewer into the bathtubs. I called for help at 7:30 in the morning and the team from Capitol Plumbing & Hydro-Jetting Service had the problem fixed by 9:15. The clog was difficult to reach - probably close to the main sewer line, and about 100ft away from the clean-out access point near the house. Definitely five stars for the prompt response to my distress, quick fix, competence, an ease of communication. Highly recommended.

Our family recommended this business to us. We called them twice (on different days) Once for unclogging the kitchen drain and Hydro-Jetting service and the second time was to replace and repair the main valve. The owner Khoa serviced our parents' place both times. He is very thorough, and really take the time to troubleshoot the issues. The price is reasonable and the work he had done was good. Khoa really saved the day for us! Our faucet hose was leaking and we were going to just replace the hose but my husband has been putting off the job for a couple of weeks. It became worse and since the faucet was pretty old, I decided to just replace the whole faucet. I reached out to several businesses on Yelp on Saturday afternoon(~4pm), Khoa was the first to reply and after providing him with more information, he gave us a very reasonable quote and told me he's available the next day(Sunday)! So glad that I found Khoa here (Yelp), he is exactly the kind of person I like to work with and he did excellent work, while explaning every step to me.  We were in the middle of having concrete replaced in our front yard and during the demolition, our main water inlet pipe was broken by the tractor just rolling over the ground two feet above it.  I should have had this work pre-arranged as part of the project, with such an old galvanized pipe down there.  Luckily, we had time to wait for Khoa and his assistant to do the work, since they are very busy for good reasons.  The only thing I can add is that the other Yelp reviews here are right on, Khoa and Capitol Plumbing should be at the top of your list if you need plumbing help.

You don't know how grateful I am now. I had a kitchen sewer clog issue and the plumber sent by my home warranty company said I had to replace the pipes as they are metal. They didn't want risk at breaking the pipes by running the snake. I didn't think it's necessary, so I tried to get quotes from plumbers in Yelp. Khoa saw my pictures and replied that I didn't need to replace the pipes even after I explicitly asked him how much the cost would be. He could have easily earned more by replacing it but Khoa said he would like to treat customer's problem as his own. If there is no need to replace it, he'll fix it. He won't let the customers pay more than necessary.

Khoa was extremely patient while fixing the sewer clog problem. The issue was more complicated than he expected. He was assuming it was a 25 minutes problem that could be resolved by running the 25 ft snake once. But it turned out that it's much more complicated than he imagined. It took him more than two hours to run the snake three times and tried to use a longer and larger snake from his abundant toolsets. Eventually, the problem got fixed, and you know what? He still charged the price based on his original estimation!

Khoa not only fixed the sewer clog, but also taught us how to prevent it in the future, and also explained how the pipe runs from my unit to the main drain line.

I would definitely recommend Khoa to everybody. He is trustworthy, skillful, and very professional. The price is very affordable, and the service is better than expected.

BTW, Khoa jus started his own business last month (Congrats, Khoa!). That's why he has only 10 reviews here. He worked in another company with his partner, and the previous company had also all 5-star reviews, with more than 100 reviewers! His service is very consistent. So don't hesitate, such a good man deserves more business!

Khoa answered my call and came to my house in 30 minutes! He was very punctual. When he said he was arriving in 30 minutes he means 30 minutes!

I needed hydro jet cleaning of the kitchen pipes. After calling a few companies he gave me the best price. He took the extra time to be very thorough and explained the details of the work very easy for me to understand.

This was not the first time he helped us. He also fixed the pipes in the front of our house when it was leaking last summer. He also arrived on time and did a wonderful job!

Khoa provides honest, efficient, and affordable service!

He responded to my call right away and wasted no time to help me identify the problem with my cousin's water heater. I personally don't know anything about plumbing, but he helped walk me through everything over the phone. He can speak both English and Vietnamese, so communication was easy and clear.

He was able to come out the next morning to check it out, identify potential causes, offer a great deal, and get the water heater upstairs changed promptly. Found out my kitchen sink drained slowly and waste water backed up to another sinks on Christmas Eve. Called 9 plumbers and only 2 reply with one still sleeping. khoa was one of the two.  He asked me to take a picture of my outside cleaning pipe first before he started giving me what might have happened and provided me a couple of options. After an hour he was already at my house. His first impression was great: friendly, professional and courteous. His price was more than fair. Other would have charged me double the regular rate coming out on Christmas Eve to fix my clogging issue. He sticker with his price. 45 mins later, he was done and ready to go. He even took a look at my garbage disposal and suggested me to replace it myself so that I didn't spend unnecessary money asking him to replace it for me!  He is my go to plumber from now on. :)

First, he was very responsive & on time when he said he would be at the house. He was thorough as well as professional. My kitchen sink somehow backfills into a sink in garage. I tried to contact a home warranty company but they never responded my calls. So I decided to try Yelp.

First, Khoa responded quickly over Yelp messages, and asked follow up questions. Then he quickly gave quotes with options. Almost all other companies demanded me to call them during business hours or asked to do an on-site estimate. One or two other companies gave quote without asking questions but their quotes were quite higher.

Then Khoa gave me half an hour window for his arrival of service. Other companies usually do one hour. If you go through home warranty, it's 4 hour window.

Khoa was punctual and arrived right on time. He inspected the site and told me exactly what is happening, the drainage main line is clogged and the garage sink is lower than kitchen sink so water backfills into garage sink. He offered me the exact options and prices he quoted over Yelp messages.

When he's cleaning the drainage line, he answered all my questions, and always with a smile! He explained what he's doing, and did his work quickly and thoroughly. He even cleaned the food debris left in the garage sink afterwards. Then he offered a three-month warranty, but assuring me the drain pipe will be good for a long time to come.

As you can tell from the details, Khoa does all the small things to make customer's life easier. He is responsive, punctual, knows his job, offers the best price, answers all questions, and finally just a really nice person. He will definitely be my go-to plumber from now on. Highly recommend.

If you are searching for plumbing service you might want to stop searching because Capitol Plumbing could be the best out there in term of PRICE and services.

As a property manager, I hired him on 2 occasions for a rental and my home. The rental was leaking water from the shower tub valve that needs to be replaced. Called 3-5 other places, got some high estimate and costly solution as a fix. Called Khoa, he arrived timely on Memorial Day, provided diagnosis and repair done in 2 hours at a very competitive price. Have not gotten same problem since then, glad that we paid that price.

Called him in for second job which rerouting drainpipe and water lines for washer/dryer. Stellar works as usual, I might have rushed him a bit. Would consider calling in again.

I will start with Khoa being a *really nice* person. During my getting quotes from multiple providers phase, Khoa was really patient and answered all my questions. There was a time I decided to not do the job and told Khoa my decision, but Khoa still picked up my calls and provided all information I need. You can't be nicer than that as a business owner :-)

I wanted to replace all drain lines in the crawlspace. All other plumbers refused to give me a quote over the phone; they all demanded an on-site inspection. Khoa asked me a series of questions (e.g. how many bathrooms, where's kitchen sink, where's washer sink, how far away they are from each other) and gave me a quote over the phone, and that quote didn't change later. This saved me a trip to the house, which I really appreciate.

Also, Khoa's quote was quite competitive among others. There's another plumber which gave me a quote more than twice as much as Khoa's (without any obvious reason why)...

I've been working with various construction workers recently (general contractors, HVAC company, plumbers). They never arrive on time: they only give you a time window (e.g. 1pm to 3pm) and they usually arrive at the end of the window. Khoa always arrived on time (and a bit earlier!), and he had to wait for me twice. I feel sorry for that, and kudos to Khoa for being so punctual!

Khoa and his team finished replacing all drain lines in one day (and it was a Sunday), which was much faster than I anticipated (web search indicates this job often takes 2~3 days for even experienced plumbers).

To be fair I'm no expert in plumbing; but from the look of the new drain lines, and the communication between Khoa and our general contractor, I would say Khoa knows this job really well and his cooperation with our general contractor was really smooth. Also it's worth mentioning that Khoa and his team removed all old drain lines and carried them away, which saved a lot of trouble for me.

Thanks Khoa for being so patient and a great job done. I would highly recommend Khoa for anyone looking to do plumbing job.

Khoa of Capital Plumbing is super responsive, resourceful, honest and has great price points!

I had an issue with my toilet plumbing and once I described the issue to him, he immediately knew what it was: a clog in the main line (connected to the clean out). He came out a couple days later (on a Sunday morning) and told me I should have the city look at the issue because it might be something that they may cover in fees (he was willing to give up the job even after driving out to my house). However, I told him I needed it fixed right away since I had tenants in the house. He gave it a go, and fixed the problem within 15 mins. What a blessing it was to work with someone so honest, efficient and -- it didn't cost me a leg.

Khoa saved my ass again!

When my tenant told me that the ceiling of the garage is leaking, my head exploded since it's raining these days and if the leaking was caused because of the roofing it would be a huge problem. Khoa came within one hour after I called him. And figured out the problem immediately. After replacing the drainage pipe embedded in the ceiling, the leaking problem was solved!

Owner, Khoa, often comes out to jobs to assist with the work. I have used Capitol for three plumbing jobs: (1) installation of a sewer line access point, aka a clean out, (2) hydro jetting of my leaking kitchen grease trap, (3)  leaking toilet/seal replacement. Each time, I was provided a through explanation of where the issue was, and shown how his work would remedy a fix. Our sewage backed up three times. The first plumber that came out did not fix the problem. It backed up a week later. Second time he came out and said he needs to replace the main line and would cost around $12,000. Again he ran a snake and left it at that. Once again we had problems. This time on a Sunday during the Christmas holidays. We had Khoa come out and fixed the blockage and created a clean out. He responded quickly and was hard working. On top of that he was able to fix the problem for half the quote we had gotten from the first plumber. We highly recommend him.

I first contacted Capital Plumbing and Hydro jetting via Yelp online asking for a quote for hydro jetting my kitchen line. Khoa responded and his price was way below anyone else that had quoted me.

At first I was a little concerned and I ask him to explain why his price was so much cheaper. He politely responded and say that this is his own company and that he doesn't have high overhead costs which will end up having the company to charge a higher price to all their customer. I decided to give him a shot and made an appointment for 5 PM the very next day.

Khoa was here on time at 5pm. He assess my house, and started to explain to me what he will be doing, and he began to start working with his teammate. Everything was done properly, and without any mess. He even took time to try to fix the cover for my drain line clean out.

I am very happy with his work and can tell that he is a very honest person. I thank him before he left and told him that I will always look for him in the future if I have any plumbing issue.

I had a leaking transition pipe connection from the main water supply line just at the portion prior to entering house.  Khoa was prompt arriving at the time window he scheduled and quickly assessed the leak and gave me an explanation of the repair and what needed to be done, as well as an accurate cost quote which he kept to.  He finished the job in less than 2 hours and did a fantastic job was professional and very clean and tidy.  I would absolutely recommend Khoa and will definitely use his services in the future.  Very refreshing to have such a pleasant and professional interaction for worrisome house problems.  Thanks Khoa!

I had a kitchen sink clog on a Saturday right before a family party. I called multiple plumbing places and I had no luck. They were either fully booked, dont work weekends or wanted to charge me an arm and a leg and the other arm.

Khoa and his helper did a fantastic job. Very good texting communication prior to the actual on site visit was helpful.  We've been having drain blockages requiring snaking every few months. Once on site he took his time to thoroughly evaluate the problem to determine the best way to fix it for the long term.  I'm pretty sure our cast iron clean out had not been opened since the house was built in 1955. It was in a very awkward location and near impossible to open. Khoa said the best solution would be to cut out the cast iron cap and replace it with an extension of ABS pipe and clean out cap. After some discussion with Khoa I chose to have the pipes cleaned by Hydro-Jetting rather than snaking. After that I'm pretty sure we now have the cleanest pipes on the block! . I would recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

Well, Khoa can now add my husband and me to his list of raving fans.  If I could give him ten stars I would and I basically never say that.  He and his crew were great in every category I can think of.  Fast initial response, fast to get out and assess the problem, and fast to bring in his crew and get to work.  Careful and meticulous in their work, thoughtful in their approach and orientation.  Communication was excellent.  Left the place clean and neat and went the extra mile on a couple of things he didn't have to.  And his pricing was more than fair.  I did A LOT of research before we hired him.  I basically reviewed every single plumber in San Jose who's on Yelp.  Plumbers can sometimes be wildly variable in their charges for the same work and we had high quotes three times higher than the lowest quote.  Our interest is always to pay a fair price for good work and we definitely got that.  We were so happy that when we decided to do another plumbing project we wouldn't have even considered a different plumber.  My only complaint now is that he doesn't do small fixture type plumbing fixes so I have to find someone else.  Or painting, or remodeling or...  Bottom line, a skilled and competent individual who delivers an excellent product at a fair price and is a pleasure to do business with.  Like I said, raving fans...  Thank you again, Khoa!

Used Khoa again. We had a leaking shower valve and I was able to get a replacement from Kohler. Also needed 2 bathroom sink faucets replaced (I purchased). On recommendation from his last visit, we also replaced our water pressure regulator as our water pressure was way too high for our home. Very competent and business-like plumbing service.  Khoa definitely knows what he is doing.  Had an upstairs vanity that was clogged so bad that it was almost impossible to get hot water flowing before the sink started filling up.  He tried a 25 foot snake/auger, then a 50 foot snake/auger and still the clog persisted.  Turned out it was the drain lines under the house that were slowly closing up from 50 years of usage (see the photo, below).  Once he replaced them they are flowing freely.

Khoa is very much on time in fact he was 50 mins early for his appointment time. I though that might have to take down a garage wall since it's leaking from the bottom. Khoa assessed the situation and first thing he touch is the fridge. As he pull out the fridge, there are pool of water that leaked from the water supply line to the fridge. Easy fix. I texted Khoa on Friday night and he was out here by Saturday for a not particularly urgent matter.  In the intervening time period, we had a back-and-forth via messaging on which he was also very responsive and responded to all of my questions.  Ultimately, my issue was not a clogged drain but he removed the drain clean out cap, verified this was not the issue, and did not charge us for this.  He was very professional throughout.

If you have a drain problem, don't start calling around, TRUST ME, call Khoa and have him come out and take a look. We had a bad stopped main drain and called the previous guy who came out, after a few hours of noise and banging the pipes with a snake, no change, still 100% blocked. He takes our money and says must be a collapsed pipe and wants many thousands to dig up the yard. I'm like no not buying that and find Khoa and call him. He came right over and we discussed the issue and next thing you know he's got our main line completely cleared with a hydrojet. Come to find out he was at our next door neighbor not long ago without knowing it. Spoke with my neighbor and they had a great experience as well. Finding a honest nice plumber is not easy, believe all the reviews and give Khoa a call and you will be like all the others...happy satisfied customer wonder where has he been all these years!!!

Update: I wanted to show you Khoa has the right tools to get the job done right. Can't say enough great things about Khoa, he not only cleared the clog he was able to show us with video the issue is tree roots but even more importantly Khoa explained how the issue is on the City side of the property and totally guided me on how to force the City to come out and ultimately take care of the issue. The camera was awesome, Khoa showed us the tree roots are entering where the cast iron meets clay in the drop off section of the main, very nicely done! If you want someone who truly cares about you and your plumbing, you have got to try Khoa. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts, you Mr Khoa are just a wonderful human being.

Capitol Plumbing fixed our kitchen sink clog. We are in a townhouse and kitchen is on the second floor and clog was very tough all the way to the sewer. Khoa did all his effort to unclog the drain and finally he did! I would like to ask again if we have a same problem.

We had a clog issues at multiple places this year, the main line was one and off, the kitchen disposal was cloaked, and one sync in the restroom was cloaked. Each time Khoa came to get things fixed. And Khoa asks very reasonable prices. There was a time when Khoa came early and waited outside, and when I came home Khoa already did inspection on the clean-out and told me the issue went away by itself so really nothing need to be done. And the next time when I indeed need help with the main line through the clean-out, Khoa did a through job to help with that.

Not only Khoa replied my Yelp Request Quote, but he actually communicated with me providing as much explanation as humanely possible :) in real time through Yelp messenger... Not only Khoa came to rescue, but he made time to call and come the same day, even-though the appointment was scheduled for a later day. Not only Khoa's van, equipment and uniform are all good enough for a cover of a Professional Plumbing Magazine... but also...
he removed the blockage two plumbers before him could not...
saving five people who knows how many trips to take showers who knows where... and saving us enormous amount of headache and about 4K in replacing what other plumbers called broken or unclearable pipes.

Our main line was backing up into the house - in other words, a downstairs shower had sewage backing up into it. Khoa got back to me within minutes, and was able to get out to us to clear the line in less that two hours. Unlike the previous plumber we used (who had to drag his rooting equipment upstairs and unmount a toilet) Khoa was able to do all the work through a small cleanout outside our house. Much MUCH less mess, time, and headache. Because he had the right equipment to clear the problem the bill was much, much more reasonable as well. Actually much lower than I anticipated. Got an excellent service from Khoa. I've called a few plumbers for quote on fixing my kitchen sink. Khoa immediately replied with a fair pricing and availability, so I decided to use his service.

He showed up next day with his tools set. After an initial diagnostic, he also found my dish washer pipe was leaking. Luckily he has extra pipes to replace my old ones and cut me a good deal.

My dishwasher was clogged, water started to overflow from its air gap. The issue was caused by both of clogged drain and dishwasher tubes. The plumber came and fixed both. $175 for unclogging drain as he promised in call and $25 for fixing dishwasher clogged tube. Total is $200, reasonable price, no extra charge. Khoa was responsive, clean, pleasant and definitely knew what he was doing.  Both my toilets and showers were clogged.  When I put out a request for quote, Khoa responded to my request right away.  His pricing was fair, but what I appreciated the most was how he came and explained exactly what he was going to do and how we was going to do it.  He took pictures with his phone of the problem and showed me diagrams from the internet of the issue.  Eventually he built a clean out line for me since I didn't have one at my house.  After he finished the job, I raised a minor issue to him the next day.  He came immediately and fixed it.  Would definitely recommend Khoa to anyone!

Last Saturday night I noticed severe leaking coming from the hot water heater, so I shut off the water main for the night and next morning called Khoa. He immediately agreed to come by in about an hour. He arrived 2 minutes early :)

Khoa explained exactly what our options were and made excellent recommendations. He offered to pick up the new water heater and a couple of parts to bring the final installation up to code. Khoa and his partner did an excellent job in just over an hour. We were very happy with their professional installation and attention to detail. Khoa even added a missing overflow pipe no charge.

About 6 months after Khoa from Capitol plumbing & Hydro-Jetting fixed a leaking backup valve it started leaking again. On the first repair he swapped the copper to plastic couplings so that the female was metal and the male plastic. He explained that plastic tolerates compression well but a plastic female will eventually crack due to expansion. He was so careful and diligent that I was sure the leak was in a different portion of the plumbing. I called and he came out that very afternoon to look. He dug up the connection and confirmed that the leak was indeed from his previous work. The plastic male had somehow broke. I tried to explain that we had a small quake which might be responsible for the break but he refused any money compensation. After he finished, I offered to pay for his gas and some of his time but he still refused stating he stands behind his work. Wow is all I can say. You don't find this type of dedication very easily.

Bathtub drain was clogged. They were able to promptly give an appointment in 2 hours and showed up on time. The technician showed up with all the tools and was able to quickly unclog the drain. He did a test to make sure the water drained off properly once unclogged. All in job was done within 50 mins and I paid 89$ for the overall service.

I had a decent sized job that needed to be done in two days and Khoa and team made it happen.  I had to replace three faucets, two toilets and do maintenance to all my drains; nothing worked right before he came and all my fixtures were falling apart. Not only did he have the most reasonable prices, you can tell the work he does is top notch. Now that the work is done, it's like I have a new kitchen sink and bathrooms. The toilets and faucets were installed with care (all the silicone seals are easily the cleanest I've ever seen). He even found a leak in the kitchen sink that I totally forgot to mention and fixed it. He and his helper fixed my plumbing issue a couple weeks ago.

After the work was done, in a couple of days, he followed up with me about the result, if things are working as expected. I only got back to him today because I was too busy. I mentioned to him that, at that time, some of the food deposits were left in my backyard. He got back to me very quickly and offered an apology. He offered to come at 5 pm to clean everything up. I was away from my computer, so I didn't reply.

About half an hour later, I heard the doorbell rang. It was him, standing outside. I said it is OK to come at another time, given all the rain, traffic and stuff. He said he didn't know about the issue and it should never have happened. He then went straight to work.

It is on this day, FEB 2nd, 2019, A GREAT PERSON, OFFERED SINCERE APOLOGY ON A TRIVIAL MATTER, PICKED UP EVERY SINGLE FOOD DEPOSIT LEFT IN MY BACKYARD LEFT BY HIS HELPER, IN A HEAVY RAIN; REFUSED TO TAKE ANY MONEY EVEN THOUGH I INSISTED. HE CHECKED THE SITE TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING LOOKS PERFECT, SAID HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ME AND LEFT WITH THE STINKY GARBAGE IN HIS HANDS.

After saying he could not fix the issue and refused payment, I called him again since others had fixed only the symptoms and not the root issue (pun intended). This time Khoa had the camera to diagnose the problem. He came this morning (Sunday during a long weekend), root caused the issue, explained clearly what and where the issues were and meticulously fixed it thoroughly and showed the camera again to prove how well he had done the job. Spent the whole day and charged ~$700 which I gladly paid. Now I have the peace of mind. I asked him if he could come regularly to inspect with the camera but he advised checking the cleanout area frequently and not waste money on inspections. Cannot recommend him enough. We need more folks like him.
I saved the best for last. He did not eat anything throughout but still had a very pleasant and helpful demeanor! Can't beat that!! Thank you Khoa!!!

If there are more  stars I can give, I'll have no hesitation to give Khoa.  After one year, I didn't imagine I'll need to call Khoa again, especially at this time of the pandemic.  I have leaking problem with the shutoff valve that Khoa helped to replace a year ago and that's only what I thought.  I asked Khoa on Yelp and he was as responsive as ever and replied me quickly to understand the problem.  He came to my house the next day to look and find out that it was not the problem of the shutoff valve but it's the other valve for my water filter system that caused the leaking.  He patiently explained to me the design problem of the valve and advised me to buy another one.  He also helped to uninstall the water filter valve and splitter and attached back the pipe...all for free.  Khoa take pride of his work and I admire his  professionalism.  I really appreciate his visit and have no hesitation to recommend him.  Thanks Khoa!

My garbage disposal started to leak, and we got a new one to replace. My husband and I planned to do the replacement by ourselves, but in the end we failed. I used Khoa's services for quite a few plumbing issues in my home in the bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and additionally for the water heater and sprinkler valves.

Khoa is professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and I believe has a very competitive rate. He has good communication skills for his work, which I think is very important as you need to understand the issue and how it's going to be fixed.

After some initial messaging through Yelp, as agreed, he came right on time for analyzing the issue and provide the estimate. He provides an estimate on an official looking paper, which increased my confidence. The final price I paid was inline with the estimate he had provided beforehand.

We agreed on the day the work would be done, and he came right on time, got to work right away without wasting time. He was well prepared.

On the day of the work, it turned out there were some additional non-trivial things that needed to be done. He provided a very good estimate for those things as well and even agreed to get the parts needed right away.

After the work was done, he messaged the next day to make sure everything was running fine.

He has a 3-month warranty for the issues he has fixed.

All in all this was an awesome plumbing experience. I wouldn't hesitate to call him for any future plumbing issues.

I have informed my home warranty company that Capitol Plumbing is not allowed to come to my house ever again!  

They looked at my non-swiveling kitchen faucet.  Since it wasn't leaking and had no loose parts, they claimed there was nothing wrong with it.  They refused to call me back or answer my emails, so I had no other choice but to escalate the claim to someone at the home warranty company.  

Today a plumber from a different company examined the faucet, acknowledged that it was, indeed, broken, and replaced it.

Definitely 5 Stars!!! Khoa of Capital Plumbing is super responsive, experience and honest!

Metal pipe at our front yard was broken and I had several plumbers came to let us know how to fix it. All plumbers said they have to cut driveway and put new pipe in. We don't want to do that because it is very expensive and takes too much time. Then we called Capitol Plumbing, Khoa of Capital Plumbing drove to see us immediately after the call. He checked carefully and said he will dig a tunnel next to our bushes and put new copper pipe in. The cost was about 50% cheaper than cutting driveway!!! And it took him (and his people ) one day to have it completely done. He even sent us a follow-up text to check if everything works well!!!

Very good experience and I already referred him to my other friends.

If you have a residential plumbing problem, this is the guy, Khoa, to contact. He is very responsive. Quick reply to your questions. Don't be fooled by the short history of the business, he has many years of experience. I just needed a water line for my new refrigerator. Our toilets were clogged and water was backing up in our shower and bathtub so I called several places found on Yelp with no answer and finally called Capitol Plumbing.  Khoa picked right up and was able to come by in an hour on a Sunday morning.  After 6 hours of non stop work, they fixed everything!  They found the culprit--roots clogging up our pipes from a bush/tree that was right in the path of the pipe out to the main sewer line.  Our house is old so they had to dig deep and find the correct line to service.  So glad they came out asap and our bathrooms are functional again!

Toilet clogged and could not unclog it, he was here 2hours later and fixed my toilet and also help fit my piping under my sink,  he is professional, clean, and knowledgeable.  I would give more stars if I could.  Highly recommend him!

Khoa, the owner, was fantastic.  He really helped me out of a jam.  We had a crack develop in our toilet tank just before my elderly mom was about to arrive.  She can't use stairs, so we needed the one toilet on the main level to work!  Khoa was able to get out and get the job done very quickly, and his price was reasonable.  He even helped out when a delivery arrived and a heavy pallet needed to be guided downhill on our driveway.  Can't say enough good things about Capitol Plumbing!

Khoa was great from the very beginning. I sent several requests for estimates and availability through Yelp. Khoa replied right away which I appreciate it due to the need to replace the kitchen faucet in a short period of time. He showed up on time and ready to do the work. Since he also had time after he finished replacing the kitchen faucet, he also was able to install a valve pressure water regulator as the water pressure was very high. He did a great job installing it and came up with creative ways to do it as the home builder installed the pipes in a non-conventional way.  His estimates are very reasonable. The positive reviews here are legit and I can vouch that he is a great plumber who I will make sure i keep his number on speed dial on my phone for any plumbing needs I may have in the future.

My dishwasher drainage is clogged & I asked quote to fix it. Khoa gave me quote in just a couple of minutes after I ask quote through yelp . Then he asked me when I want it to be fixed. I said ASAP & he stopped by in a hour! What a quick response. After arrival, he checked all drain pipes & it's OK & the problem is identified as Motor pump failure which is out of his specialty. He gave me good advice what to do next.  He didn't charge me anything even though it's not his fault. What a professional & honest person. Will definitely call him in the future if I have actual plumbing problem! Strongly recommended! Good price, quick response &  very honest

Khoa is a very good plumber. He does not charge for estimate as other plumbing companies. I shared some photos showing the leakage in my underground irrigation piping. He quickly gave me a reason quote, and then came in the next Monday fixing it. Don't use those large plumbing companies which have a big overhead. Use Khoa!

I had a big Clog on my Shower & I call my Old Plumber & He went to the House and Try to Snake the Clog But The Problem is he can Fix Because the  Guy who did my Plumbing ,when they Renovate our House Is Wrong and is not even on Code which I Don't know about the plumbing code So he can Fix it ,now it was late night Before 7 pm I look the Yelp I Found out that Khoa is the Highest Review & Everyone they Put 5 Stars so I try to ask the Quote and not even 10 minutes I already have a Response which is Cheaper done I expected I go with Khoa and he went to our House even late He try to Snake the Clog But he can fix it he decided to go the Crawl space And he Found out that More big issue on plumbing, There's a lot of leak & corrosion on my Plumbing So its better to Replace sooner so I decided to go for it, he gave me 2 today to coming Back and he did ,He Replace all the old and Corrosion Pipe he took a picture on it ,everything is clean no Clog ,He is Very Honest, Efficient & also Reasonable Price I Highly Recommend this Guy Khoa to Everyone! Our kitchen sink was clogged and Khoa came to our rescue. He promptly replied to my questions, gave us a very fair estimate and showed up on time for the appointment. I'm one of Khoa's happy customers.  Khoa is a responsible plumber. His price is very reasonable. I hired him to replace and install a new sink including a food disposal and new faucets. Initially, there were some issues with the old sink structure and one of the edges was about half inch over. After the first try, he came back the next day and cut off the edge and completed the sink installation, and he still kept his original estimate without additional cost despite the extra works on fixing the one of the plywood edges. He warrants the work for two months.  He is a courtesy professional.  I highly recommend him if you have a new plumbing job.

Khao came over to replace the kitchen faucet. He did an excellent job- professional work. Khao answered all my question. Plus he was wearing boots covers that kept the house clean, and cleaned the the sink area after installing the faucet, a quality procedure we appreciate greatly. He asked if we wanted to keep old parts and offered to recycle for us if we didn't want. He also called the next day to check if everything satisfactory and working right. Highly recommended!

We had a leak under our kitchen sink, a backup of water in both sides of our double sink,  and a nonfunctioning garbage disposal. I called Capitol Plumbing late yesterday  based on the yelp score and was thrilled with the quick and professional response. Khoa arrived this morning as promised and not only repaired all three problems but also explained the origin of the problems and everything that was needed to rectify them before we committed to the cost. I am so glad I called Khoa to replace the wax ring on our leaking toilet! He responded to my texts and emails very quickly, arrived to my house early and charged a reasonable price. He noticed that our toilet doesn't sit completely flat in the back because its too close to the wall, so he added in a extra wax ring just to ensure that nothing will leak. He also cleaned everything that had leaked from the toilet, which I really appreciated. He is such a nice guy and you can tell he is trustworthy and really cares about providing quality work. I will definitely be calling him again if I ever need something else fixed in the future, thanks again Khoa!!!

After thoroughly inspection,  Khoa gave me an detailed explanation of the problem. He told me the potential cost to fix the problem completely  is very expensive, and he suggested an alternative way to avoid the problem. If I could give a 6th Star, I would!  I called Khoa at 330p, he arrived 15 minutes early at 5p on a Saturday.  He spent 3 hours working on a clogged main line.  Incredible work ethic.  Tons of integrity.  Extremely professional.  Very competitive pricing!  He deserves your call, you won't be disappointed!!!

I've used Khoa's services on three separate occasions. First, when he was Team Contractors, he repaired a leaking water pipe in my crawl space. Experience was good from start to finished.  Khoa was very professional and prompt in his responses to set up the appointment.  When at my residence I showed him the backed up tub, explained that three other plumbers looked at it and could not address the problem.  He wanted to try to snake the pipe and was able to do what others before him could not.  I now have my tub/shower back and will be put back to good use.  I spoke to three other plumbers and his rate was very competitive as well.  Highly recommend.

I was extremely pleased with Khoa from Capitol Plumbing. He came on time, he was very careful bring in snake/ tools. He was very polite and his prices are very good. My easy snake the drain turned into a something stuck in toilet and we need to take the toilet off situation. Apparently my Poo-pouri somehow got flushed and was blocking toilet. He was quick, efficient and friendly. I definitely recommend Capitol Plumbing if you need a plumber.

I've been using roto rooters for my drainage issues previously, but I wanted the same person to assist me each time. I looked online and found Khoa. He's only come out once for me so far, but looks to be a great choice. Seems to be straightforward, and easy to work with. He's on time and pleasant. I'll ask him to help me again in the future.

Khoa is very knowledgeable and genuine. We lost hot water in one of our showers and he came and fixed it. He advised that it could be temporary but didn't want to cut our marbel slab walls if it wasn't needed. He said If you lose hot water again, call me and I will then do the major fix. Fast forward 6 weeks,  we lost hot water again. We called Khao he came out same day and fixed our hot water at no charge. I tried to pay his gas and he wouldn't accept my money. He still didn't do the major fix because he had researched another fix. We are trying to figure out how to fix the issue without having to cut or bring down the marble slabs which would we be expensive to replace. We still have hot water in our shower, yay! I appreciate Khao being transparent and honest through this entire process. He's very professional but personable at the same time. Definitely recommend Capital Plumbing!

Amazing! After calling probably ten plumbers to fix a clogged shower drain, we finally found Khoa at Capitol Plumbing. Khoa is the best. He analyzes the problem quickly. While others were asking to replace the whole piping he found the problem correct, a broken pressure guage and fixed it. He saved a lot for me. Amazing service -- and on a weekend with just one day notice!  When I called in the morning, Khoa said he could come out that very afternoon.  That was surprising since normally it takes a few days to get a plumber out.  Khoa unclogged our shower drain quickly and at a very reasonable price.  He's very professional and easy to work with.  We plan to call him for our future plumbing jobs.  Highly recommended!

Khoa responded promptly to our request; he engaged continuously to clarify the plumbing issue that we were dealing with and the level of urgency. I accidentally punched a hole in a copper pipe when I was trying to install something on my stucco wall. I used the yelp quote feature and within 10 minutes Capitol plumbing (Khoa) got back to me asking for a picture so that he could quote a price.
The reply feature through my email with an attached picture of the leak bounced (Yelp should really fix this). I pinged him again and MMS'd the image to his phone. He got back with a quote and I asked him to come over. He gave a time and was at my place a little earlier. He had all the tools, looked over the various options to fix the leak and finally told me that he would have to break the stucco and then then fix the pipe. The leak was in a nasty place with very little room to work.
He did a professional job at fixing and it took him longer than he or I had expected it to take. After fixing it, he turned on the mains and checked for any leaks. He then gave me an invoice with the exact amount he had originally quoted, no hidden fee/tax etc. I was happy with his service and I paid him in check (check or cash is acceptable). He even gave me a 6 month warranty on the fix!!!

Top class service!!! A couple of my friends are already asking me if I can pass on his contact info to them for their plumbing needs. I highly recommend him and I am pretty sure you will not be disappointed. Good job Khoa!

I'm not one to write many reviews, but I felt like I had to as I was very impressed with Khoa's work and professionalism.  I called him last Saturday at 8:30am and he was at the house within an hour even though I didn't have an appointment.  We had a blockage somewhere down the the line for half of the house (kitchen/laundry).  He asked me a few questions over the phone before arriving and gave me a quote.  I had already attempted to snake the drain a few times, but couldn't get to the blockage.  Khoa arrived and attempted to unclog the line but it wasn't working.  So he had to go on top of the roof (as we do not have a clean out) and unclogged it from above.  He didn't charge me anymore than what he originally quoted.  In the past we had called a plumber and they charged us double because they had to go onto the roof.  Khoa did not try to upsell me (as the other plumber did) and instead gave me great advice on how to maintain clear lines.  I was impressed meeting an actual honest plumber!  I will be recommending him to anyone I know that needs a great plumber.

Khao at Capitol Plumbing did a terrific job tackling a shower/toilet  that was backing up on one side of my house. He is very professional and asked me a lot of questions before coming out both to understand the problem better and to walk me through possible outcomes and their cost implications before coming out. Once I agreed to have him do the job Khao came out to my place right on time within the 30 min window he had specified. He then went about the job logically and thoughtfully by first inspecting all options and then starting with the simplest fix he worked up to a final solution so as to keep the cost down. At the end the solution he had to adopt was complicated and he went beyond the call to accommodate our needs - of not wanting to flood our garage as that was the only accessible cutout - by going on the roof and running his hydrostatic cleaning tool through a vent on the roof! Fantastic job. I would recommend anyone to use his services strongly.
