I asked him over the phone for a range of what it would cost to snake a tub drain which was a very simple job. Just a hairball in the P-trap they said between $160 to about $220 but when they got out there they said it be $240.   Took all of about 10-15 minutes to snake the drain. I understand, travel costs, and everything but still find the cost expensive for the amount of work involved.

I have been having problems with my plumbing for awhile now. I ended up buying a snake and every few months or so I would have to use it to clear the pipes up. Finally, I was fed up and decided to call professionals to see if there was a bigger problem.

I found Northstar Plumbing on Yelp and were impressed by their reviews. I called them and they were at my house within 30 minutes.

They worked on two pipes by using a powerful snake to clear them up. My favorite part was them diagnosing the problem with a camera. It was pretty neat to see what was going on in there. Lo and behold, there were roots growing in my pipe from a huge tree I had out front. It's pretty common and I'll just have to maintain it yearly. They cut through it and told me to poor down root killers to help slow down the growth.

I was surprised at their professionalism and hard work of nearly two hours for only $165. Even at one point, Anthony climbed down a manhole to retrieve something. Now that's dedication!

I would definitely recommend them to anyone and I'll be calling them next time I have another plumbing problem.

John installed our Pelican water system. The installation looks good and works. There was some dripping that they missed the first time and fixed when they came back a few days later for some other plumbing work.
They were wearing masks and cleaned up after themselves.

George was awesome. Fixed a leaky pipe in our kitchen that was preventing us from having running water as well as causing a leak into the downstairs guest room. He explained clearly what the problem was and that there was an 'easy' solution that might not work, and a hard solution that would be more expensive. Luckily his 'easy' fix worked! He explained that it's not a great long term solution, and told us what we might want to do in the future to fix the issue properly with ALL our pipes due to shoddy construction by the home builder, but didn't place any pressure on us whatsoever to actually do it. He definitely gave us something to think about for the future, and we'll know who to call when we want the job done. :)

Got a water heater not heating up on a late Friday afternoon. Pilot light was out and could not be re-lot.  Alex came out right away to look at the problem.  But he was not able to fix the problem since he doesn't replace thermal couple. I was surprised.  Instead, he suggested replacing a new water heater.  I have dealt with 20+ water heaters.  It's 2011 but it's not time yet. I ended up hiring someone else to replace this part for $165 vs spending $1500 for a new unit. Nice guy though.

Steve is great.  My mother's water heater went out and I had to go through two other plumbers before I could find one that was reliable and honest (before I found Steve).

The first plumber we called came, and said he could repair.  He said he had ordered the part from his supplier.  Day two, he said the part did not come, day three, he was sick and didn't bother to tell us.  I called the Plumbing outfits owner, and he said that the unit could not be repaired.  It's an AO Smith 30 gallon, installed in 2005.  I gave up on that plumber and called another one (now day 4 without hot water).

The second plumber who came (also a high rating on Yelp), said the unit could not be repaired and that it would have to be replaced:  100% markup on a new water heater as well as just as much for installation.  Yikes! Bye-bye.

Now we are on day 5 without hot water.  I decided to research why a water heater fails, found common reason, and called the AO Smith factory in Tennessee.  Surprisingly, there was someone who answers the phones at 6am PST on a Saturday.  I asked if they still made replacement parts for my model and they do.  They were able to provide me with plumbers who had been through training on AO Smith Water Heaters in my area.  Of the list they provided, Steve at SPS had the highest ratings on Yelp.  I immediately called and he had an answering service who took my message,.  I also  submitted a request for quote online.  Within an hour, he phoned me back.  Yes he could come Monday morning between 8 and 9 am.  Yes he arrived on time.  Yes he fixed the problem with a repair THAT DAY. Yes, his price was fair.

I will definitely use Steve again and HIGHLY recommend him.  He is dependable and honest!

Cardinal plumbing was recommended by a friend who has owned a business related to plumbing for over 30 years.  The crew delivered everything as promised and then some on the repiping job.  Courteous, friendly, neat, and professional.  Water was shut off for only 8 hours at most.  End result:  Strong water pressure, clean copper sweating, neat stucco and sheetrock repair.  Thank you Van, Hai and crew.

Our kitchen sink has been backed up for months. I began making my way through yelp in search of a specialized plumber and was put in contact with Bunnies plumbing. Adhemar, responded to all of my questions was very patient with me. When he came out to inspect the plumbing issue he was straight forward and explained everything so I could understand. Unfortunately, the plumbing issue wasn't fixed because it requires a second visit. I definitely recommend Bunnies plumbing.

We had Shawn replace two kitchen faucets and put in a recirculating hot water pump.
The faucets were a pretty big job and he brought another guy and they got it all done in about 4 hours. He also helped me track down a leak that was intermittent and got that taken care of.
The faucet replacement cost a bit more than I thought it should, but he did a great and through job.
He really knows his plumbing and we discussed the hot water pump so I'd know exactly what was involved.

We contracted Charley's Plumbing to replace an old water heater that was on it's last leg.  Charles came out on time and performed the work efficiently with great communication all along the way.  He also solved a problem that we thought was going to be a much bigger job than it actually was in helping get hot water instantly to the faucets which are a very long run from our water heater.  The job came in exactly as quoted.  Charles and Matt were both incredibly courteous, knowledgeable and respectful of our home.  The work is top notch and we feel lucky to have found someone so trustworthy.  Added bonus that they like coming up to the mountains and doing work which is sometimes difficult to find.  I highly recommend them to all, and especially the mountain folk.

My water heater repair request was sent to 5 service providers randomly by Yelp, and JM plumbing was one of the three responded within an hour. Although their quote was not the cheapest and they had no reviews in Yelp, but I was convinced they were the best technician for the job because how sincere and knowledgeable they showed over the conversation. I did not regret my choice. JM was very responsive to requests and flexible on schedule. They got job done professionally.

I had an issue with my toilet and was referred to Gladiator through a friend. Joe came out and quickly assessed the issue (I don't really understand plumbing so I can't explain well). I was immediately impressed with how friendly and nice he was. He informed me it would be a simple fix and even had the necessary parts on him already! The whole matter was taken care of in no time, and was really inexpensive. If I need a plumber in the future, I know who to call!

When our toilet, after numerous different attempts, refused to cooperate we called about 10 plumbers in hopes that one of them would be willing to come out on a Saturday night. 7 of them didn't answer, 1 was way too expensive, another charged by the hour, and then there was Mark. He stated over the phone he had a flat fee and could be over in 20 minutes. I went with Mark because of his sense of urgency and honesty. He arrived when he said he would. I was impressed with the fact that he was able to diagnose the problem within seconds. He unclogged the toilet within minutes and even offered us advice and numerous strategies for future toilet troubles. I truly appreciated his genuine attitude, promptness, and expertise. Give him a call, whether you have a BIG plumbing problem or a little one.

Thank you 5 Star Plumbing for coming to the rescue when my shower got clogged! As a woman with long hair, it's inevitable for the drain to clog from time to time. I was having visitors come over and needed to have this situation fixed ASAP! I called 5 Star Plumbing and they gave me a reasonable quote and were able to come super fast! So lucky Paul was referred to me by a friend!  I was in a panic because my rusted backyard garden faucet/valve could not be tightened and was leaking water.
