Called Northstar on Saturday morning wanting an earliest appointment possible because another plumber (service call through First American Home warranty) that came to fix a slow shower drainage left the bathroom complete mess without fixing the problem.  The earliest opening Northstar had was the following day (Sunday morning).  What a relief!

First, First American Home warranty is a waste of money and time.  We had two separate plumbers come out without any success.  They were only interested in trying a simplest method (snake down the shower drain) and refuse to do anything more.  I got tired of dealing with FA and called a real plumber.

Anthony and co-worker from Northstar showed up promptly on Sunday morning.  It was obvious they were serious about their work - came with all kinds of equipments to get the job done.  

After completely unclogging the pipe (now, our shower drains beautifully !), they even gave us a discount for having paid other plumbers not getting the job done.  Who does that?!!  

We will absolutely call Northstar for any plumbing related work in the future.

Tino and his team have down three jobs, ranging in size, for my historic Craftsman house in San Jose. After purchasing the home, I got various quotes for work needed to update a leaky sewage lines (which were one hundred years old). His bid was detailed and very clear on what work was needed, and he communicated promptly in person and on the phone.  What got him the business though was his humanistic demeanor.  Other plumbers looked at the job as a way to cash in and upscale. Tino looked at it as a way to help a new hone owner do right.  After the first job I had no hesitation having him handle two more jobs later in the year.

Quick response and very efficient! Takai came in the next morning and did the job very smoothly on a leak from one of the outdoor valves. Was very professional with the work and easy to communicate with.

Replaced p-trap under kitchen sink. William did not finish the job by sealing the pipe. Just placed one pipe inside another. We didn't notice the gallons of water that leaked under the cabinets and down to subfloor for months. Beware of this company. I had another professional plumber come fix it. He could not believe the incompetence!

George is a hard working honest man.  You will not be disappointed. He was able to complete the tasks needed and work around some of our needed emergencies.  We did have some delays in the project however not any fault of his.  He was honest with the solution and willing to make things right. When it rains, it pours.  Luckily for me, I found Patterson Plumbing last week to fix my outdoor leak.  This week, my 16 year old water heater died and had a slow leak.  Ivan responded promptly to my query through their website and was onsite within the hour.  He was very patient as we discussed the various options in detail since I was considering a switch to a tankless water heater.  Ivan answered all of my questions after checking out my current setup and situation without any semblance of pushing me in any one direction.  After discussion and taking some time to think about it, I decided to stick with a tank water heater and he completed the job the same day in less than 3 hours.  As much as I like Ivan's work, I hope plumbing issues don't come in threes and I don't have to see him again for a long time.  :)  But if I do ever have another plumbing issue, I'll be calling on him again for sure.

3 days pass since Alex initially snaked the main sewer line and I noticed that it's backing up again. I give Alex a call. He comes out and resnakes the line at no charge. Great customer service!

These guys are great.  They handled a warranty repair of my water heater.  I had no problem getting an appointment, the repairman they sent knew his stuff.  I would definitely use them again.

Our kitchen sink has been backed up for months. I began making my way through yelp in search of a specialized plumber and was put in contact with Bunnies plumbing. Adhemar, responded to all of my questions was very patient with me. When he came out to inspect the plumbing issue he was straight forward and explained everything so I could understand. Unfortunately, the plumbing issue wasn't fixed because it requires a second visit. I definitely recommend Bunnies plumbing.

I will keep this short.  I have a leaking garbage disposal.  Shawn helped me to diagnose the problem and replaced the bad units almost a year ago.  Due to the problem of the garbage disposal design, it started giving me leaking problems once again just now.  I gave Shawn a call; left a message.  He courteously returned my call very soon.  Put me on top of his list and take care of my problem first, as I 'was' a paying customer.  He identified the problem and took time to fix it right there.  I expected to pay for this service call.  Typically many would charge after 3 months of labor warranty.  Shawn took care of my problem without asking for a dime.  This is above and beyond and I will definitely come back to him if I ever need help.  Many thanks!!

I had an issue with a leaking pipe in the wall to my master bath shower. Charley and Matt came out and were very engaging, and answered all my questions. Unfortunately, they found the problem was larger than I had realized. Charley immediately had other solutions though they would need to return the next day. They clamped off the pipe to prevent further damage.

What I really appreciated about their service is, later I started having other questions. I emailed him (a bit late) and I was surprised how quickly he emailed back. He answered my queries clearly. He never made me feel bad for asking.

The next day they showed me what they were thinking. I was concerned that in fixing it properly as proposed, how would it look removing the two old knobs in the shower? Would it look very patched?  Well, he had thought of that. He picked a nice fixture with a large enough face plate that covered the old connection points in the tile. Honestly, it looks really nice now as if it was there all the time.

As we are all still dealing with COVID-19, it was nice that Charley and Matt both wore their masks, they had shoe coverings to minimize any dirt on their boots. Those little touches reminded me that they are aware of all aspects of working in people's home.

I will definitely keep Charley's card for any future plumbing issues I have.

My water heater repair request was sent to 5 service providers randomly by Yelp, and JM plumbing was one of the three responded within an hour. Although their quote was not the cheapest and they had no reviews in Yelp, but I was convinced they were the best technician for the job because how sincere and knowledgeable they showed over the conversation. I did not regret my choice. JM was very responsive to requests and flexible on schedule. They got job done professionally.

Needed copper repiping throughout the house, as well as front yard to street.  Out of 3 interviews with companies, they were the most professional, courteous, and agreed to price matching.  The work was done on time and they left our home very clean.  The Bailey brothers really care about their company and it shows!  They definitely earned the 5-star rating and we will use them again if we ever need a plumber!

I can say that I have found the plumber that I trust and does quality work. No more trial and error to find a reliable plumber.

Mark and his crew has been outstanding. Always on time, straight shooter and makes time for you whenever practical. Work quality is excellent and their prices are really competitive. Does not try to up-sell on things to do and provides right advice regarding where to find parts online and locally.

I have used Mark multiple times in the last couple of months.  During one of the repairs, Mark educated me about a retrofit recirculating pump that can be used to have almost constant hot water at the faucets. And he installed it for me the next week.

After contacting countless plumbers who either failed to show up or had no idea how to fix a leak under a driveway we finally found Pipe-thru Trenchless Plumbing on Yelp.  Jose came to look at the issue, he then provided a professional written estimate and contract which we accepted.   What really impressed us was that he was able to fix the problem with zero mess and did not need to dig up a bunch of concrete and grass to get it done. Highly recommend this company.

Thank you 5 Star Plumbing for coming to the rescue when my shower got clogged! As a woman with long hair, it's inevitable for the drain to clog from time to time. I was having visitors come over and needed to have this situation fixed ASAP! I called 5 Star Plumbing and they gave me a reasonable quote and were able to come super fast! They did a great job and offered tips on how to prevent future clogs. Thanks for the fast service and well trained staff!

I originally gave four star because it is considered good. However, Paul responded rudely telling me I never booked him and he never confirmed. He even lied I did not reply to his question. I have attached part of our conversation's screenshot and you judge it yourself. I can post our whole conversation how responsive I am if necessary -- always within 24 hours if not same-day.

Original four-star post: I booked Paul last week for services tomorrow. Communication and price have been okay. They just canceled tonight because of his knee injury.
