Hi. I didnt actually get service but we had an emergency shower leak where our usual plumber did not respond to call. I called several places for emergency service and this place was the only one that recognized our emergency and he called his brother on short notice. In the end, it turned out our usual plumber just saw the text, didnt respond and headed over anyway, and we had to cancel. I really appreciate the response to our need and will definitely be in contact for future, hopefully less-desperate events

I had a leaking hose bibb in front of my yard, so I called Handy Rooter & Plumbing. Mr Trieu showed up quickly, on time, and provided excellent service. He was honest and went through on things that needed to be relaced and what not (saving me on unnecessary cost). He's very friendly and might give you a discount. Great Experience! Trieu came earlier than expected. Diagnosed our leaking pipe under the house in minutes. Explained the problem throughly and fixed it on the spot in no time! I highly recommend for any plumbing issues. Extremely reasonable pricing as well!
My garbage disposal was leaking so I reached out to a few 5 Stars rooter and plumbing companies. Handy plumbing had the most 5 Stars reviews. Trieu gave me a quote within 10 minutes of me sending him a message. His brother Vu came on time of the appointment. Replaced the garbage disposal and fixed a few leaking pipes. He came back the next time on time to fix one more pipe with a few drips. Excellent customer service and their price was actually a little lower than companies with less 5 Stars reviews than them so definitely a plus. I highly recommend Handy Rooter and Plumbing. Our kitchen drainage broke down. We called Trieu and he arrived on time to inspect the situation. He also gave us a quote and helped us close the loop with warranty company. I highly recommend him.
My water main line was leaking and Vu figured it out quickly and provided me with a quote on the spot. It turned out that he had been working for another house right next to the street. He walked though how to replace the old one with a new one with me, offering me the availability to work on it tomorrow as an emergency. He and his crew replaced the main water line from meter to main shutoff valve 50' by copper pipe 1 inch. Everything is back to normal, thanks to them for doing a great job!
Excellent service. Trieu responded to me within 15 min after Yelp Message. His brother confirmed again shortly after by phone and was at my door within an hour and fixed the problem at very reasonable price and also kept everything very clean. My electrician needed me to remove and cap an outdoor hose bibb that was too close to the electrical panel, and that I never used anyway. I couldn't remove it because it was painted over and calcified. I sent out for quotes and Trieu was quick to respond and provided a competitive price. We exchanged some messages and he and his team were here two days later (it was a no-rush job) and they got the work done in 15 minutes. I'm very pleased with the results and I'll keep them first in mind next time I need other plumbing services. Thank you kindly!

The communication was quick, easy and simple. Response time was speedy and Vu courtesy texted me to ask if it's ok to arrive a few minutes early. Who doesn't like an on time person, but I love an early arrival!
Vu is professional & extremely courteous! He respectfully removed his shoes at the door. (I didn't request this from him) He prepared his work area with floor covering to protect my kitchen floor and once the job was completed, he cleaned up so well and left my kitchen spotless and cleaner than it was left for him.

These guys are great! We have used them for a couple of jobs, and they have always been fast, reliable, effective and honest. The last time Vu was here, I basically tried to upsell myself. He said to save my money, and if the problem recurred within a few months, then I could do the more expensive job. Otherwise, if the current fix lasted another year or two (it was a clogged drain), don't worry about it.
This has been my experience, in general, the other times we had them out. My husband and I have decided that we won't bother looking around the next time we need any plumbing work done. We are thoroughly satisfied.
I contacted Handy R&P because they had great reviews. Well, here is one more. I was having a problem with odor emanating from our utility sink that is connected to the same drain as our washer. The plumber,Vu, came to our house exactly when he had told us he would. He told us what the problem was and how to fix it easily. He did not want to take any money for his service because he felt he hadn't really done a repair. Now, when have you ever had a repair man refuse to take money. I will definitely use them again. Finding a skilled professional you can trust is like gold. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Good quality and fast service. I have called them for two jobs and both times very satisfied.
Our water heater went dead on us one morning . I asked my HOA community and one of my former neighbor highly recommended Handy Rooter .
We called / texted them and within 15m , the owner provided me an estimate . This company also gets great reviews from satisfied customers .
His workmanship surpassed our expectations. We r greatly appreciated his prompt responses, his excellent code of conducts. He will be the one we would go to for all of our household's plumbing issues !

I quoted out to a few places and Handy wasn't the cheapest but the yelp reviews raved their work. I gave them a shot, Duc and Vu came to my place to replace laundry valves. Mine was gross and corroded and leaking. Also wanted them to change out the shower valve since I had a slow leak. They suggested I needed more work on my shower valve and told me what is needed. However didn't pressure to change it out soon or this will explode. They said it is ok and if it gets slightly worse then call them. Thr laundry valves were a quick fix and they installed it. All in all I'd recommend them and will use their service again.
The parts and work have a 1 year warranty and can be fixed in 24 hrs.
Installed the new kitchen faucet quickly but didn't sacrifice the quality of the insulation. We have a very tight space underneath the sink and it took extra effort to install. I would recommend.
I called Handy Rooter for a small leak in the house and within 20 minutes, Vu was at my door. He quickly diagnosed the problem within minutes and suggested minor repairs to resolve the issue. Vu was very professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest. It's hard to find an honest business, so I will definitely use their services in the future. Also recommended them to my entire office.

I found Handy Rooter for my kitchen facet low water flow issue here, Vu promptly responded to my request and scheduled an appointment at my earliest convenient. He came on time and quickly get to work after listening to me describing the problem. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and explain to me about the issue. I will use him again.
The most abusive professional that I have met. Trieu the owner is abusive at best and a very dishonest person at worst. His men are hard working. We had our main water pipe connection to the house leaking and asked him to come for quote. He made us believe that the entire water pipe had to be replaced and he proposed replacing it with a copper pipe. When his men came and dug up, without consulting us they cut the pipe and we realized that the service line was PVC and we technically didn't need to replace this pipe. Further, after replacing the service line the water stopped flowing in the house. On enquiry as to what went wrong, Trieu started yelling and abusing and threatened to tear down the entire pipe. He did fix the problem after a few hours, but he could have been a lot more polite and informative. In the end when we requested him to explain why he forced us to replace the entire service line when the existing PVC was fine he started yelling and screaming and threatened to tear down the pipe again!! Our children had returned so to resolve the matter we settled the bill.
Definitely not some one you want to trust or want to work with.
Update: A few hours after Trieu's crew left, the water pressure started dropping. The water stopped flowing in all three of our bathrooms. The flush was not working and the water in the toilet bowl looked a little discolored. Our dishwasher stopped working in the middle of the cycle and the error read Watertap. Please see the pics. Upon contacting Trieu, he started blaming the water softener. He said he cannot come to fix it and that we need to hire someone else to fix the water softener. The softener was working perfectly fine before they replaced the pipes. This job cost us in the two thousands. Basically, the 2 year warranty this company provides is useless and not worth a penny. It was very conveniently invalidated the next morning.
At this point I am being forced to hire another professional to fix the shoddy job this company did. Highly untrustworthy and dishonest.
I had a kitchen faucet valve that needed replacing because it wouldn't shutoff the water. Trieu was quick to respond via message and come out the next day to swap out both valves to get them both to be quarter turn values. Replacing the valve also took care of an issue where the cold water would stop when turned on too much. Part of the problem came from the feeling that our water pressure was high. They were quick to check on the way out and give a call explaining it was on the high end but not too high to need a fix. Glad I went with Handy Rooter to come out and get the fix.
I had repaired my own toilet fill valve (yay me!), but in reconnecting the water, I found a leak. Fearing the worst, I called, and the gentleman called me back in 20 minutes, asked me a few questions, and then asked me to send photos of the suspect parts over text. He immediately called me back and gave me the great news: it was an easy fix, and I could do it myself. He then texted me the part info at Home Depot. 40 minutes (5 minutes of installation) and I was done.
Long story short: he put $$$ back into my pocket. When does a plumber do that? I'd definitely put him at the top of my list for my next *real* plumbing problem. Thank you!

If you are looking for a cheap plumber, maybe he is the one, but he is definitely NOT professional.
I got a quote from him for a leaking water pipe, after texting him the pic.
YELP sent me his info together with 4 others. His quote was the cheapest. I was curious to know about the type of pipe coming out of ground, so I called him and asked him about another plumber's opinion who said I need to replace the pipe to the meter. He told me the other plumber wants to upsell you, so I asked him if he could explain and that's when he snapped and told me to go find another plumber, I don't have time to explain to you what type of pipe is better. Later I texted him to say that I, also have a business and always try to answer my customers questions. Strange thing, he had time to answer all my text but not talking on the phone. Finally he texted apprently you like my low price eventhough I told you to find another plumber. I responded Everbody like low prices but NOBODY will like your atitude and the way you treat your customers. his other BAD review from a month ago also points to his temper. So be aware.
Being a first time home owner we were referred to Handy Rooter & Plumbing to help when our sewer line backed up. Everyone we had called told us they couldn't come for a week. Trieu was able to come that day when he heard how frantic we were about our issue.
He has now come for a few other items we wanted his opinion on and he was great! I won't be going to a different business. They are our guys. You're in good hands.

We used them to install a hose bibb to a pvc pipe. Although it's a small job, Trieu is Very quick with quotes with reasonable price. They arrived on time and finished the job quickly.
The owner Trieu is also very honest. There is a hose bibbs that i thought is leaking but he explained it's due to a water pressure adjuster on the bibbs and is totally normal. I asked him if I need to add a neutralizer to my condense water drain which lead to a pvc pipe. He said pvc is resistant to acidic condense water so I do t need to install a neutralizer.
We will recommend him to all my friends.
Doan came by to fix our main shut off valve. He was quick to respond and showed up on the appointed time. He gave the best quote and took care of the problem in no time. Happy to call him again for future plumbing needs.
Any plumbing issue I call Handy rooters. Very honest, quick and reliable. Always gives the right guidance and advice. Once I had a under concrete water leakage, everyone gave me very high quotes to fix it, and this guy was the one who gave me very reasonable rates.

I hired Handy Rooter & Plumbing to re-install a toilet wax ring after i noticed some leaking around the base of my toilet. Trieu responded on yelp within minutes & we set up a time for the install on the same day.
They installed the wax ring without incident and cleaned up the work area leaving it better than it was when they arrived! Trieu also went into my crawl space to check for leaks and took pictures & video from there to show me - because i'm too fat to fit down there :)
Overall, i had a great experience and would definitely use Handy Rooter again!
Our washing machine was causing the pipes in the walls to reverberate constantly whenever we washed clothes because of the high pressure. Trieu answered right away, and came out the same day!
After diagnosing the problem and offering a couple of solutions, we decided to try the cheapest and least invasive (a damper directly on the intake from the water pipes to the washer), as well as reducing the overall water pressure to the entire house at the street level.
Both fixes worked beautifully, and now the walls/pipes are a lot calmer as a result!
Highly recommend Handy Rooter because of his expediency, knowledge, and friendliness.

Handy Rooter & Plumbing is on my list of trust worthy vendors whom I've found on Yelp. We first used their services in November 2019 when our sink was clogged.
Just as luck would have it we had a plumbing issue days before Thanksgiving. This was a different issue from the time before. Thankfully, we were able to get an appointment. Trieu and his team arrived on time and were wearing the proper personal protective equipment- face masks and gloves. They were able to diagnose our problem and fix it in now time flat.
Excellent workmanship, fair prices and a good disposition make Handy Rooter & Plumbing number one in my Yelp Notebook. I highly recommend them to our family and friends. We are very thankful to have found such a good company through a random Yelp search in 2019. They consistently show they are a good company and their work is the best quality around.

The original shutoff valves are leaking. They fixed them in an hour. They used more materials than expected but they didn't charge more because of that.
The issue was fixed completely and result is nice and clean.

What comes with being a successful adult means being able to troubleshoot simple issues such as your home's water heater turning off.
After our water heater turned off, my mom and I had no idea what to do next. Since we didn't want to take the chance and ruin things even more, we decided to call Trieu. Trieu and his coworker (employee?) were able to come over the next day to see what the issue was.
Turns out, it was a simple issue and fix. Trieu explained to us what happened, some tips, and told us how to contact the water tank's company if we had any further issues (if the tank itself ends up being an issue in the future).
What stood out was Trieu showing my family and I how to fix this issue and what to look for. I feel like other people would have just fixed it and left us for chumps waiting for us to call again and be charged. Definitely a 5 star service!

Slow kitchen sink, so we wanted to clear it out before it became an emergency. Our sink is on the second floor without a cleanout, so it is sometimes a pain for plumbers. Vu took the job and charged a reasonable rate. He and his colleague were in and out in about an hour and the sink is draining perfectly. Let me call out the most popular job in the Bay Area - plumbing.
I called Handy Rooter and they got back to me the same day and even fixed a time after learning about my plumbing issue. Super courteous over the phone and equally courteous when the plumber arrived. We nailed a time after a couple of texts and phone calls.
The plumber just got to work - no extra chit chatting (I was super stressed about the problem at hand too) and really there just to fix the problem. Really appreciated the attention to work and asking all the right questions to get to the bottom of it. It took a little while for the plumber to work on fixing the issue and he did not demonstrate any impatience -- just dedication.
I am explicitly calling out the professionalism because I've dealt with a breadth of plumbers over the summer last year who were rude, sexist and unprofessional just over the phone.
Thank you Handy Rooter for being to the point, paying full attention to my massive plumbing issue and being so courteous throughout the experience. You took care of a mess for me that I could not solve on my own with professionalism I haven't experienced in a long time in the service industry.

I was able to make an appointment to get my water valve fixed, since it was leaking water. I really appreciated how Trieu texted me when he was on the way to my house. He also provided an estimated arrival time just to make sure I would be home.
He definitely arrived on time and went straight to fixing my water pipes. While he was fixing our pipes, Trieu was very knowledgable in answering all of our questions. He was very informative and provided suggestions on what we can do for improvements. Since my water valve broke, I assumed I needed another valve. Trieu was very nice to inform us that we only needed a flexible pipe to get the water flowing again.
Overall, we received wonderful service from Trieu. He fixed our water pipes very quickly. Trieu and his coworker were also wearing face masks for safety precautions. Talk about responsive!! I called them this morning for an assessment for a leak in the ceiling. Whomever answered the phone said he'll send somebody out between 12-1. I thought Wow that's fast! Vu arrived earlier than the expected time and he checked the leak, did a few tests and figured out the problem. Because it was just old caulking that cracked around the tub he suggested that I hire a handyman or even somebody in the house can do it. He told me what I needed and what needed to be done.
I appreciate the honesty because with the holidays around the corner & fixing our downstairs shower last week money is tight. So it's good to know it's a easy fix, he didn't even charge me for the visit.

Two toilets at one of my commercial property were clogged. I called a few plumbers on Yelp , but Handy Rooter & plumbing was the only one that replied and came by within the hour. They inspected the issue and gave me a quote. But they won't charge you a penny unless they can fix the issue. Trieu and his guy tried the cheapest simple fix first by doing a simple drain unclog from the toilets, but it didn't get unclog and they didn't charge a penny. They had to unclogged the pipe and got the job done!
I will definitely use them again for any future plumbing issues from now on .

Have had Trieu out twice now to fix a slow running drain. I appreciate his timely response, availability and dedication to doing a good job. He spends his time to make sure that the issue is fixed. He was able to fix my drain problem that a few other people were not able to solve.
We had to call them out twice to a house in San Jose. Quick response and they did a great job.
My toilet fill valve was not working. Since my toilet was not easy to unscrew the valve, I do not have good tools and strength to replace the fill valve myself. I am happy to called up Handy Rooter & Plumbing again. This time, they sent Vu to help me fix it. Vu is very helpful and quick at the work. I can see it is very difficult to change the fill valve since my bathroom is tiny space for him and there is not much room for him to see the screw. Vu is very technical and good to manage the difficult job and replaced the fill valve for me. Now my toilet is working good and back to normal!
I had a leaking sprinkler pipe in the backyard. Inquired a few plumbers on Yelp and decided to use Handyrooter with all the great reviews. Trieu and team responded promptly and arrive promptly, super professional and courteous, and suggested better ways to fix my leaking pipe situation! Although it's a small job, after inspection Trieu recommended a better and simpler ways to fix the leak. I really appreciate that! Honnestly thank god for yelp! Im so happy i found trieu for my leaky old bathtub faucet. He answered me via text at 9pm super useful and knowledgeable! He came the next day with a colleague and finished the job in 1:30! Changed valve inside the wall. Clean work!!!! Very nice! And very affordable. He replaced my cheap old faucet with a MOEN. Highly recommend him!!!!!

Wu was amazing! I had a plugged kitchen sink drain; I had cleared the trap so I knew it would need to be snaked. I called several other plumbing companies telling them it would need to be snaked and none would give me a rough estimate over the phone. One insisted on coming out, after waiting for 9 hours, 5 hours past window, technician walked into my house to say the minimum for any job requiring a snake would be $500. I sent them packing and requested a quote from Handy Rooter. I submitted the request at 10 pm and by 7 am had a very reasonable quote. In fact, it was so reasonable that I actually called them at 8 am to inform them my house did not have an external cleanout near the kitchen. He said he could do it from under the sink and asked that I send a picture. I did and he said he would be here between 11-12. He was here at 11:05, professionally dressed, took precautions to not make a mess under my sink and then proceeded to do a very thorough cleanout of the drain. He snaked over 30 feet of drain. He then cleaned up and thanked me for the business charging me exactly what I had been quoted.
Toilet wouldn't stop running. Plus a broken valve. Text Owner and got quote for installation and repair. Came the scheduled day on-time and repair in under 1 hr. Definitely will use the service again.

As soon as I submitted a quote request through Yelp, Trieu called me right after to discuss details. During the call, he gave me some suggestions to reduce the cost of my project, which I appreciated - I don't think most other folks would do that. He gave me a competitive quote and said he'd be available to come by for the install the next day.
On the day of installation, Trieu and his teammate were prompt, very responsive and texted me their ETA beforehand to let me know they're on their way. My toilet and faucet installation only took an hour, they cleaned up nicely afterwards and overall the process was easy.
I will see how his work holds up as time goes on but for now, I will definitely keep Trieu in mind for future home projects. He seems very knowledgable about the whole process.
I had the main sewer pipe clogged. Other plumber struggled for four hours with 100' snake. These guys showed up with 200' snake connected to power washer. Kind of cool water jet. Clog cleared in 12 minutes.
He then put a camera and traced the line to the property line. Quoted me in adding a clean out so next time City will come and clear it.
Handy Rooter and Plumbing was quick to respond to my need to change out a gas valve for my dryer. The delivery/installation team would not finish the job until the valve was changed out. Handy Rooter and Plumbing was able to fit me into their schedule near the end of their day and had the job finished promptly. As a result, I was able to schedule the team to come back within a day to get my dryer hooked up.

We need our water heater replaced on an urgent basis for a leak. They were highly responsive and came out the same day they were called. They had a fair price. They seemed to be very ethical. For example, Vu reinforced some piping that he was concerned about. He didnt need to, because we would have never known it was an issue. He didnt charge us for it. He followed up later in the day to make sure we were getting hot water. These guys are great.
Excellent and prompt service! Came same day AND after hours to help fix our leak. Price was much cheaper than other quotes, and service was excellent! Highly recommend!
Our water heater installation (performed by another company) from 3-4 years back was not done correctly. Trieu was fast and clear in his explanations. It turns out that the expansion tank was unnecessary in our installation. He removed that expansion tank which was connected to a corroded pipe, instead of replacing the pipes. So, he charged us less than his original quote. Honest and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.
Our water pipeline is leaking at more than 100 Gallons/hour, we didn't have water for the weekend. I called several plumbing services. Bu and Duc came very fast and did a thorough checking on the leaking and found out the entire pipeline need to be replaced. (more than 50 years old) They came on Monday morning and worked very hard for the whole day (dig though the drive way). We got our water back! As they also changed the water pressure regulator to a new one, we have much strong water than before now for the shower. Before they leave, they have did a good job cleanning everything also. We also got a 1-year warranty for the new pipeline. We would like to thank them for their awesome work!
Handy rooter has helped us out twice already. Once they replaced a sink faucet with something much newer and more durable. The second time they fixed a clogged shower pipe. We recently engaged Handy rooter to install a water softner that was bought from Amazon. I reached out to multiple plumbers and the quotes varied considerably, Handy rooter gave the most affordable price and explained why it differed to others.
Trieu was the first to respond late on a Sunday night and gave me an estimate. Like some of the others, he suggested that he should come out to give a more accurate estimate and arrived at the agreed time. His final quote was explained clearly, though I didn't agree immediately as I was getting other quotes. He continued answering all my questions and I decided to book him to install.
On the day, they arrived early and got to work straight away even finding time to buy a couple of items from Home Depot that was missing from my box which he gave me the receipt without any mark up. The job was completed within 2.5 hours and they were very tidy. Trieu also answered some questions that I had around some other plumbing items which he advised that I could do myself which was refreshing honesty.
As a new homeowner, having a plumber you trust is important and I feel that I believe that Trieu will be my go-to for the foreseeable future.
Handy Rooter & Plumbing was very reliable, and came over to fix a problem with a leaking toilet. They were right on time. Trieu and his colleague did a fantastic job installing a water softener for us. I had a water softener system that I had bought and needed a plumber to install it. I got 2-3 quotes from other plumbers, and the installation costs all came in insanely high. I decided to reach out to Trieu and I'm glad I did.
Trieu was extremely responsive, educated me throughout the whole process of installing a water softener, and did an awesome job installing a 3-way valve to our water softener to act as a back-up system if anything were to happen. He was in and out in only a few hours.

I have used Handy Rooter twice so far, and have been happy both the times. The most recent case Trieu helped fix the hot water issue in the shower of my rental property. I had to just send a photo of valve on the phone, and he quickly told me the fix along with a reasonable quote. These guys work quick and efficient, and are super friendly.
I got my own water softener and filtration system and had been trying to find the time to install it but in the end decided to ask for help. I had 2 other companies come over, they took days to respond and even more so to come take a look at things and then provide me a quote.
Then I found these guys and I asked for a quote and Trieu responded 10 mins later and was at my home the next day going over what was needed and scheduling things for the week after. Less than a week later my whole system was up and running and Trieu was open to answering any of my questions and going over everything, great service and no issues whatsoever even 2 weeks after.
Trieu was courteous and showed up when promised. He observed all the COVID rules and quickly fixed our problem. A pleasure doing business with him!
I had some issues with my washing machine leaking in the garage and when Trieu explained the situation, it made a lot of sense to change the washer's placement and the pipes leading to it. These guys are absolutely the best. Extremely efficient, quick and organized. We had a complicated plumbing stoppage, and they quickly identified and fixed the issue. They are very well-equipped, having a truck with various drain cleaner machines, sewer camera etc. Can't recommend them high enough.
The issue I had prevented water coming in to my entire house, but Trieu and his partner came over within a couple hours of my call and fixed the plumbing issue within 1 hour. I was always happy with Trieu's work before he hung his own shingle. I left 5 star reviews on his former company's Yelp page. A different plumber from that company installed my tankless water heater, but when I lost pressure and temperature, I reached out to Trieu. He immediately suggested that it likely needed a routine flushing. He told me that it's not cost effective for him to offer that service, but doesn't he come over to my place and show me how to do it myself... on a Sunday!
Trieu tells me that he likes to treat his customer like family. There's your proof. I just had a nice, hot pounding shower. Thanks Trieu!
My water softener drainage started to clog up, which was causing the backwash to flood my garage on every regen. The garage was sloped, so the water would drain out, so it wasn't an emergency but was certainly annoying!
I contacted Handy Rooter via the Yelp quote feature, Trieu replied quickly with a window in the next 2-3 days. On the day of, he showed up on time (even a little early) and quickly got to diagnosing. After trying out a few things (running different faucets to see if any of the drainage was connected to kitchen/tubs) we narrowed in the problem. He gave me a very reasonable quote on the spot and they got right to work!
All in all it was a pretty quick affair, probably not even an hour, and I learned a few things along the way too. Did you know you aren't supposed to hook the tankless heater condensation hose directly into the drain? That was certainly a factor in my case as the condensation was likely causing corrosion in the metal pipes. I saw a bunch of iron getting scraped out of the plumbing, which is always reassuring. D:
I feel like most of the plumbers I've worked with were flaky, unreliable, or downright shady. This definitely wasn't my experience with Handy Rooter. I'll definitely be keeping these folks on speed dial for future jobs!
Trieu is a true professional - competent, communicative, and charges a fair price. Trieu fixed my leaky shower head one year ago and my shower is working great to this day. I recommend using Request Quote to contact him, because often Trieu will be on site at a job, and it is easier for him to reply to the Request Quote when he is free, rather than trying to answer a phone call in the middle of a job.

We had a terrible sewage smell coming in to the house and he came to give us a free estimate of how to fix the problem. Took his time, was a straight shooter and no 'BS'.

We recently moved into an older house without inspecting the plumbing system; and problems surfaced immediately (with additional discoveries along the way).
First, I reached out to Trieu to install a new garbage disposal and to replace the plumbing under the kitchen sink. Afterwards, I explained to Trieu a recent discovery (made AFTER we scheduled our initial appointment): water was siphoning out of my new washing machine. Trieu recommended cleaning out the kitchen drain (which we scheduled the following week).
Early into the second appointment, I asked if the drainage issues we were experiencing with the washing machine could also trigger water pooling outside another pipe when I wash the dishes.
After cleaning out the kitchen drainage pipe, Trieu inspected the main line under the crawlspace; he explained one of the straps holding the main line broke and that replacement or repair of supporting fixtures around the kitchen and laundry pipe would remedy the leak I was inquiring about. Additionally, he mentioned there was a minor leak near my newly replaced copper pipes (NOT done by Trieu). So, by looking at my home as a whole (vs just the draining system for which I hired him), Trieu saved me from experiencing potential water damage (from prior contractor's gross negligence).
In total, Trieu visited my home three times. For each visit, he texted me 10 to 30 mins before arrival day of appointment. Upon entering my home, both he and his helper removed their shoes (which they continued to do each time they left to their work truck and re-entered the home). They wore masks, laid out a work mat before starting, ran tests for each fixture/part being replaced and cleaned up the work area. Trieu finalized each job with a detailed invoice. Both he and his helper were professional and efficient from start to finish for ALL three jobs.
But here's the best part: Trieu took the time to help break down my home's drainage anatomy (I asked him to repeat things several times). He showed me before and after pictures/videos of the main line and water tests, and informed me there's a ONE YEAR warranty for his work (and prior re-piping job done by other contractor!).
Nearly four weeks later and everything Trieu replaced remains in great working condition (no pooling of water, no drainage issues). He gave me peace of mind and the confidence to reach out to my prior contractor (for repair of the copper pipes). I would definitely rehire/recommend Trieu for future pluming issues.
We contacted a few plumbers earlier, this is the Best Plumber we have ever had. They arrived on time, checked the problem and explained very well for the repair plan. It is all free for the first trip. Come back next day with all the supply and parts, finish the repair and clean up very well after the job is done. They are very professional, efficient. The price is very reasonable. We are so happy with their service.

I called Handy Rooter & Plumbing to repair a leaky shower and bathtub faucet. They requested a texted photo of the problem then gave me a quote. I agreed to the price and a plumber was sent promptly to fix the problem. So far job well done and no leaks.
Trieu was very fast in responding to my quote request and did an excellent job replacing my water heater's burner assembly kit at a reasonable price. While working he was very helpful in explaining about all the potential issues and warranty details with Rheem water heaters. He even suggested a better water heater in the future (Bradford White). Will definitely call Trieu in the future if I need help again!
Over the past few months, I've been inquiring about a leaking issue with my kitchen faucet. Looking for the highest reviews from customers about potential businesses I stumble upon Trieu. With over 150 reviews and all of them 5 stars I thought this wasn't possible, not a single bad experience or snafu? I reached out to Trieu, provided pictures of the issue, and got a response about what needed to be done. After a few months later the problem became worst and again reached out to Trieu. He quoted me again and this time I decided to take the chance and get this issue fixed.
On the day of the appointment, he called and texted me to make sure I was at home waiting. I didn't even notice until he was here. Told me he would be here between 4pm and 5 and showed up 20 minutes earlier. Asked me if I was ready and let him in. With all this Covid-19 thing going on, he and his employee socially distanced as much as they could and wore masks and all. Even took off their shoes while in my kitchen.
In terms of the work, I could not have seen anyone do the work as fast as they did. As soon as they got the parts, they went to work, one unpacking the new faucet while the other dissembled the one on the sink. I think it took them 20 minutes to do the job, that is how fast they were. Once complete, they gave me the receipt, I gave them the check, and off they went. I couldn't have asked for faster, efficient, on-time service. If I need services again with anything related to plumbing/water issues I know who to call. Thank you for the great work.

I have my main water line/sewer line outside clogged yesterday. After tring to fix it by myself for 5 hours, i still could not fix it. Therefore, i quote several providers and find the handy rooter & plumbing. They are really fast to arrive after our call and could just finish the work with good qulity in very short time.
Need to say that my prvious contract is also doing good job. But due to lacking of the tool, we could not find the root cause. Traiu has reasonable and competitive pricing for the job. However I had some issues with my experience.
My kitchen sink was clogged and called him as the quote was $99. Traiu mentioned that the price is $150 since the kitchen is on the second floor, I accepted and got the job done. He also requested to place sink stopper to avoid food going into the drain, which I did the next day.
Traiu also recommended to change the sink pipes to plastic since the steel pipes are getting corroded, I also agreed to it.
I faced two issues, the pipes which were replaced started leaking within 10 months as the pipe was cut short and it came out of the grove. Other issue is that the drain is clogged now after 15 months even after the sink stopper was installed (which may mean that the drain snake was not performed properly)
I reached out to Traiu and explained the issues (I got the pipe fixed by another plumber as I got confused between handy rooter and some other rooter company), however he quoted me $150 to clear the drain again. I wouldn't recommend this business, else be ready to cough up $150 every 15 months.
Our garbage disposal was leaking so I needed to find someone quick to replace it. Trieu and his team did a great job. He quoted me online and it was a very reasonable price for labor and materials. They showed up on time and finished up very quickly. I recommend them for any plumbing needs and will use them in the future for other jobs where we need plumbing done. Thank you!
When it comes to home services, it's hard to find guys as honest as these guys. They came the same day to fix my clogged kitchen sink and replaced 2 old leaky bathroom faucets.
I spent a good 2 hours the night before trying to fix the clog with no luck. Turns out, after years and years of build up, not even a snake could do the trick. They recommended the hydrojet (essentially a deep clean of my pipes) and a TON of grease build up and other crap came out.
The two faucets took a little time because of how old and rusted they were. There was even one of my kids tooth brush stuck in the p trap! How it dropped in there? I don't even know.
All in all, they are definitely one of my two go to plumbers when I need something now.

I called them early this morning about replacing my facet and was pleasantly surprised to get a live person and not a calling service. Best, to expect them within the hour. Trieu Vo arrived on time, he inspected the area and asked to look at the new faucet to insure it would fit and he had all he needed to replace it. Within a little over an hour (which includes the cleanup) he was done. He tested everything from the water pressure, hoses, and seals. He also went the extra mile to move one of the hoses that was in the way and could possibly impede the functionality of the new faucet stem. The cost to replace my faucet was reasonable and inline with some of the other quotes and it was well worth it!! I speak from experience here and after two remodels, know the difference between your run of the mill get by Joe plumber and those who take great pride in their work like Trieu for Handy Rooter.
Update.... a few hours had passed and I started to put everything away. I started the dishwasher and noticed a trickle of water I thought came from one of the houses. I called Trieu and within 15 min. he was here. It turned out it wasn't the hose, but the dishwasher air gap along with the dish soap dispenser wasn't sealed. Once they were and tighten the problem was gone. The true test came after running two cycles without any issue!
On average, I don't write reviews for anyone unless they've gone above and beyond and that's what Trieu did for me. Too, I wasn't charged for the additional labor or trip charge to come back and fix it especially because it had nothing to do with the work he'd done earlier for me.
That's what I call #1 customer service and the difference between a professional and those get by Joe's who charge an arm and leg for shotty work.
My old plumber used to make me feel like he was doing me a favor and always on his own time. I'm very fortunate I found Handy Rooter today and that's who I will run to for all my plumbing needs because they're worth it! Thank you Trieu and God bless!

The gas connector to our cooktop had a leak, and flush valves for our toilets needed replacing. Vu from Handy Rooter came quickly and completed all the tasks. He clearly was very experienced in these specific repairs. It's likely that should I need anything related to water repairs in the future, I would call them first.

Excellent service installing new toilets. He also waited to make sure there were no leaks in the supply line. It so happened, there was a tiny one and he replaced before he left. A large plastic cover accidentally went down my toilet and clogged it. Called Handy Rooter on a week-end, the manager provided me with a quote and send a technician the same day. We had a backup from our laundry into the garage sink drain, which would overflow into the garage whenever we ran the washing machine. They gave an estimate quickly and set up an appointment. Absolutely stellar service. We needed a water softener and filters installed. Came by on Thursday to give a quote, came by Monday to do the job. Was extremely prompt both times, and got the job done in no time at all. Outstanding job and workmanship. Handy Rooter & Plumbing was very quick to respond to our water emergency, they completed the work ahead of schedule, they were very knowledgeable about the technology and the local neighborhood. Our hot water tank started leaking over the weekend, by Monday night they had finished repairs, replacing our old gas-powered hot water heater and tank with a new tankless system. Trieu was able to order parts quickly, he came out a day earlier than scheduled. He upgraded our water system to a tankless water heating system that works better than the original. Trieu was very responsive over the weekend (by phone and through text messages), answering questions and explaining different options. He let us know about water issues in our local neighborhood and suggested some further upgrades that we may do in the future. Outstanding service, knowledge, and workmanship. I would highly recommend this company.

Trieu has come to my house 3-4 times for different jobs including installing a new water line for a new refrigerator ice maker, fixing a downed drain line under a kitchen, leaking plumbing under the floor of a bathroom, etc. He is the only plumber I ever call now. He is very professional, very fair, takes time to explain everything, shows and leaves you with pictures, and gives great advice.

Trieu is now our preferred plumber since he's incredibly knowledeble, efficient, reasonably priced, and honest. This time, our kitchen sink main pipe was corroated and cracked, leaking water. He quickly fixed the pipe and tested it. Voila, a working sink! He even squeezed us into his busy schedule and came a day earlier.
Additionally, we have bad plumbing pipes that keep getting filled with tree roots, causing back ups in our bathtub, shower, and toilets. Ugh. The first time we used Trieu, he was the only plumber who fixed the problem where it was clear for a long time (2.5 years!). During this visit to fix the cracked kitchen pipe, we wanted him to go on the roof and snake the pipes like he previously had done. After Trieu tested our plumbing, he realized that there was no need to do that work at this time. He could have made a lot of money but instead honestly informed us that it was unecessary.
I can't recommend Trieu enough and have already suggested him to friends who are equally as pleased. Trieu came during the pandemic, and he wore a mask and was careful not to touch many surfaces.

We used Trieu and Handy plumber for a variety of jobs, all the easy stuff, completed fast and correct. We had a big job, installing a washer in our garage, with a new water line and sewage, and still fast and perfect! Their rates were cheaper than others and other plumbers wouldn't even take on my washer in garage job. Highly recommend their work oh and due to COVID they followed all safety precautions and since I was working from home, they were still able to complete everything with little to no supervision, everything came out the way I wanted, thanks guys!

I've been having standing water in the sink. I took apart the whole thing and cleaned it out - but still no luck. I bought a snake at home depot and used that. Still no luck.
Broke down and called Trieu. Gave a reasonable quote over the phone, confirmed my address and next-day appointment. Showed up on time, called before coming over.
Great guy, knows his stuff. Fixed my issue in a couple of minutes.
Trieu was fantastic and saved me a TON of money.
I had a GROHE shower that had been unused (I always showered in my other bathroom after remodeling this one about a year ago) for more than 6 months. So, as I was preparing to move, I discovered that only hot water came out of this shower! Since it was after the Disclosure phase of the home sale, my realtor strongly suggested that I just deal with the issue and not scare the buyer. Grrrr....
So, I'd gotten several responses from plumbers after my Yelp request and I had one of them come out to do a free estimate. He disassembled the handle and tested the shower and told me that it probably wouldn't be worth my while to replace the cartridge, as he didn't think that was the cause. He recommended that I get a whole new shower kit, but that would require either cutting the porcelain tile (and I'd had beautiful tile work done for this shower) or going through the wall behind it. (He'd repair the wallboard, but I'd need to paint the whole wall and hope that it didn't look horrible, afterward). But then he gave me the price estimate for the shower and it was twice as much as I was expecting.
I thought I'd get a second opinion and called Trieu, who listened to my description of the issue and recommended I contact GROHE. He said that their parts had a lifetime warranty and he thought that the issue WAS the cartridge. But even if it wasn't, he said that he'd replace the shower, if needed, and his price was half of what the first plumber estimated.
Lo and behold, GROHE did honor their warranty, overnighted the cartridge to me and then Trieu came to install it. He had it in in less than a half hour and it worked perfectly. And his rate to do the work was VERY reasonable.
I'm extremely happy with my experience with Trieu and would heartily recommended him.
Thank goodness for Handy Rooter & Plumbing! They saved us from a very bad plumbing situation, right before Christmas. We noticed a leak that was occurring within a wall near our water heater/furnace. They were able to quickly pinpoint it, remove the leaky pipe and replace it with new copper pipe in under an hour. They were fast, professional, clean and courteous and price was reasonable. I highly recommend Trieu for your plumbing needs. Nice guy, gets the job done, and reasonably priced.
We had a kitchen clog on the second floor of our townhouse. Water from the third floor was coming down and filling the sink. We searched Yelp for a few plumbers and compared pricing, and Handy Rooter & Plumbing gave me a price under $200, while others were $225-350 due to the townhouse build (one story homes are much cheaper).
We called at 9am and were lucky enough to have an appointment by 11am. Trieu came right on time and was ready to get to work. I showed him the issue and he knew what the problem was. He snaked the drain a few times with different tools for about 45 minutes and cleared up the issue. No more stoppage! Drips of dirty black water got on the floor and under the sink but Trieu cleaned it all up when he was done.
I had a couple other minor issues and he was more than happy to take a look. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, he couldn't fix these other issues however he did give me pointers on how to fix them myself and gave me quotes for future appointments.
I'm very satisfied with the job that he completed and would use him again in the future.
Call right now! Highly recommend this place. Trieu also the owner was quick to respond, professional and very personable! He replaced my leaking garbage disposal in about 15 minutes. I now know who to call for ALL my plumping needs!

We just moved back into our home after 9mos. of renovation; much to our chagrin our sewer main backed up due to roots issue. Trieu was the 3rd rooter/plumber that we contacted but the first who was able to get to us in a timely manner (arrived at our house within 45min). He was able to clear the clog and the roots within a short time. Showed us (via video cam) where the issue is located and recommended a long term solution. His fees were very reasonable, we really appreciated his quick response time and wonderful service.
It's hard to find honest contractors, but this business is IT. Came to my house to do some minor plumbing work, got it done fast and efficiently! Then we hired him to run a camera through a pipe outside. He stood in the gap for us with the city when he didn't have to. I can't say enough how grateful I am to have found this business! This review is about two weeks over due. Great service! Setup an appt for the next day after contacting. He was very good to let me know the job before me was taking longer than expected and gave me updates when he would arrive. Cleaned my kitchen line for me. Very covid safe considering the times. The price was great! Cheaper than other companies I have had out before. I will definitely use again! He was even kind enough to give me two brand new stainers for my kitchen sink to help keep the small pieces of food out of the line. I thought that was a class act and icing on the cake. Services also come with a 30 day guarantee in case the lines back up again in that time.
Trieu did a great job! I called on a Saturday morning for issues with my garbage disposal. He responded quickly and gave me an appointment for later that day. He gave me a quote over the phone which was helpful in deciding whether to make the appointment.
He showed up within the 1-hour time window he gave and was very quick with the assessment and work. I decided not to change the garbage disposal because we are planning a remodel soon. Trieu understood, fixed the immediate issue and gave me a small tool to help me with the garbage disposal in the future, in case it gave me trouble before I could do the remodel. No extra charge and no pressure (or scare tactics) to change the disposal.

I got a clogged and call for Trieu to unclogged the our bathroom. It turns out my whole drainage pipes were broken and were leaking for what I don't know how long it has been happening. It was not a simple fix so he thoroughly explained the process and what needed to be done. I agreed and he started working on the problem the same day. From snaking and water blasting, the clogged was later found to be near the city main sewage lines. He had to dig in the front yard to install 2 ways clean out. What amazing is he repiped, capped open pipe, dug and installed clean out all that in two days. He started early morning till late in evening. Give him a call and you will not regret.
About a month ago we had a clogged drain line and I was unable to clear it with our 50' manual drain snake (the kind with the slightly bent pipe to use as a handle). I looked into renting a real powered snake from Home Depot, but at $99 Handy Rooter was barely more expensive and he would come to me!
So I messaged Trieu on Friday night at 7pm, then called the next morning, and he showed up within an hour on a Saturday. Then after easily clearing the pipe he continued to run the snake back and forth with the water running to really clear the debris down the pipe instead of just punching a hole through it.
I wouldn't have known the difference so it was great he took the time to do it and also explain what he was doing. He could have been done in 5 minutes and I would have been happy, but he took another 15 to really do the job thoroughly.

We called him last Tuesday around 5:45pm to fix our toilet and kitchen faucet, he said he will come in at 6:37om and to my surprise he was at the door at exactly 6:37. Excellent service. I discovered a leak in my bathroom and called Handy Rooter and Plumbing for emergency assistance. Within 24 hours from making the call, they showed up, ran a diagnostic, and replaced the piping. No more leaks. I wish everything in life was this simple!
They provide excellent service and help me find root cause of my clogged pipes, repair it quickly and complete all services within 2 hours, amazing!
1. Previous I spent hundreds of dollars on the clogged pipes by asking two different groups of plumbers, all they do is put in snake and only temporarily fix the problem, a few months later problems came back.
2. Trieu is so experienced and found the root cause within 5 mins, he was willing to crawl under the floor, examine the pipes and found out that one pipe is bended and things could easily pile up there. He then proposed the fix and got the job done in one hour, and double checked everything is fine through the camera.
3. Handy rooter also charges much more reasonable price compared to other places.
I highly recommend Handy Rooter & Plumbing! I sent out a request for a quote to drain my shower clog and it went to 5 businesses. Trieu was the first to respond and immediately provided an estimate. The others either didn't respond, responded way later or asked unnecessary questions. He said that he would arrive between 1-2pm the same day and let me know when he was on his way. He arrived on time, snaked the drain and recommended a hair drain catcher. He is very friendly and I will definitely use him again!
Here is how honest Trieu was: he came by within the same day that I told him my water are backing up. He checked inside and outside, he could see that my problem was actually resolved by the time he was there, explained to me that depending on my issue I can actually get the city to fix it without any cost to me, and ended up not charging me a dime for the visit since everything was working fine. I will definitely be using Trieu again!

I'm soooo glad I found Handy Rooter & Plumbing! They first helped me with a leak a few months ago and recently, with the installation of a water filter system and fridge water line. Both experiences have been great! They have very reasonable costs and Trieu is super knowledgeable, responsive and reliable. I highly recommend Trieu and his team!
Shower was backing up with all sorts of unpleasantness. Mr. Doan came out very quickly and was able to resolve my issue at a very reasonable price and without trying to upsell me on installing some multi-thousand dollar system. Was very thorough and professional and got the job done. Seems simple but I've had some bad experiences with other plumbers who actually have made issues worse by the time they left and tried to charge me for diagnostics when they didn't even fix the issue.
No such issues with Handy Rooter & Plumbing, I would definitely recommend them to others and will use them next time I have any plumbing issues :)

I had a main sewer line plug and had Roto Rooter come out. Tech ran the tool until he hit an obstacle which he told me was either pipe offset problem or a giant root. He gave up stating that the line was flowing and he could notbguarantee the job. $425.00. He recommended a video follow-up $165.00.
Plugged again. Called Trieu who promptly showed up. He gave me a $150.00 quote and went to work. He pulled out a foot and a half root configuration and assured me that the line was open. He then video checked the sewer line. He assessed the main line as being perfect. The city hookup had a small offset. Trieu gave me a wealth of information to help me address this problem. Great human being and I highly recommend him.
I contacted him for a toilet issue but gave me all the info to do the work myself because it was a simple project. Saved a lot of money. he's a very honest person so I would contact him a bigger project in the future.

Trieu was my savior. I had a leaking toilet valve and I was out of water for 1 day. A nextdoor neighbor saw my post for a women in need of a plumber who needed help asap and sent me a message to call Trieu. He answered my call right away and was at my house in 1/2hr. He got on the valve right away, showed me what he was doing, and we discussed going ahead and replacing the gusts also. I have very hard water so it needed to be done. He got it all done for me and got my water back on. He was so professional, courteous, and so honest. He explains everything he is doing and his work comes with a 1yr warranty on parts and labor. Based on the Yelp reviews, I gave Trieu a call and he was very quick to call back. We discussed some of our plumbing issues and he managed to come in a day or two once we agreed on an estimate.
Trieu came out and within a few hours, quickly managed to go through my list of needs, he repaired a number of toilets, replaced a kitchen faucet and fixed leaky taps.

Because the leak was behind the wall in upstairs bathroom he had to do some cutting to get to the leak. But all was covered up and you wouldn't even know it was worked on after.

Trieu was great! I texted him this morning about a leak issue I had and he replied right away. He asked for pictures so he could assess how long it would take and then set up an appointment with me later that day. He came on time and quickly figured out what the issue was and then fixed the problem with the leaking pipe.
He was very professional and sent me detailed before and after pictures of what the cracked pipe looked like from the crawl space. He even noticed that there was an issue with my door and referred a handyman to me. He's the best!
After my husband and I replaced a faucet in our kitchen sink, we inadvertently broke the pipe leading to the garbage disposal and needed to replace the whole unit. We decided to hire a plumber to install it and after shopping around, found Handy Rooter's pricing and the fact that he could come out the next morning to be deal breakers.
Treiu was a few minutes early, installed the garbage disposal in a much shorter time than we would have done, and showed us how to do a couple of quick fixes if there is ever a clog in it. Had Handy Rooter & Plumbing replaced rusty old metal drain pipes. Very pleased with the work Trieu provided. This is the third time we used their service. Apart from the actual work of replacing pipes, Trieu took the time to take lots of photos under the crawl space, which helped identify source of a mysterious water leak originated from our dishwasher. Appreciate folks at Handy Rooter & Plumbing providing quality service to the community during this pandemic time.
I had Trieu help me twice within two weeks, first he relocated the fridge dispenser copper pipe in the wall like 10 away. Then I spoke to him about replacing about 50FT of cast iron pipe in the crawl space with ABS, it connects the kitchen with main sewer line. He did it quickly and provided me with pictures from the crawl space showing how the work was done. Trieu is an honest person and did the work quickly and well. I had a previous plumber, which I didn't hire, who quoted me double the price Trieu asked. When Trieu made me quote for the two projects I didn't bargain because if I get the right person at a reasonable price, I immediately hire.

I had my house fixed twice by contractors and one ran away from the shower project. 2nd contractor fixed it and it broke again after 3 months. Trieu came to the rescue, I was originally not plan to get it fix because of a minor faucet handle problem. Until the shower handle came off causing the water valve runs none stop. Trieu came to my house that same day (as I was desperately begging him to rescue in the last minute).
He arrive within an hour after I called, and gave me an estimate, and he could left the situation as it (the main water valve has turn off by me because the water kept on running). But he actually went a step further, open up that shower's handle facade and turn off the water valve in that bathroom for me, so I can use water through out my house except the broken shower (he understands customer situation). Not only that he gave me a quote way less than other companies I have called a week prior to this incident to get a quote (he could have charge me higher because this is last minute and emergency request, that both he and I know that I can't find that many company come out the same day for me), but he also promise to get it fix for me the same day.
Trieu knows what he is doing, he explained to me what caused the problem and how he fixed the problem. Although the price for getting this shower's handle is costly but I truly see it is worth every penny.
This was the second time I needed to call Trieu to help with a plumbing issue. I was not disappointed. I had him disconnect all fixtures from my kitchen sink so that I could refinish my sink. When I finished he was incredibly prompt to return to reattach the fixtures so that I would not be inconvenienced to be without water in my kitchen. He provided advice on what fixtures should be replaced in the process and also fixed my electronic touchless faucet that the previous plumber said was broken. He also identified that I had another problem with my water filtration system. He was courteous, professional and very fair with his pricing. I highly recommend Trieu for any plumbing need you might have. You won't be sorry. It is hard to come by trustworthy, honest professionals like Trieu. I feel very lucky to have found him.

We had a continuous puddle in our front yard. Unsure what was happening, we knew we needed help. We called and within an hour Trieu's brother arrived. We were very impressed that he diagnosed the problem very quickly, he was very methodical. It turned out that our main line to our home was bent and crushed and our neighbors the same but leaking. The next day Trieu was out promptly fixed both our neighbors leaking water and our crushed pipe. Our water is running with 10% more pressure. We would recommend Handy Rooter & Plumbing to all. His price was very reasonable also.
Fixed a lack of water pressure in an upstairs shower. Previous plumber quoted $1300 to replace the mixer/knob assembly by cutting into the tile. Handy R&P not only a) quoted $800 if it got to the point of a new mixer, but b) actually removed the showerhead as part of diagnosis, found there was plenty of pressure coming to the end of the pipe, and ended up charging $150 for the visit and a new showerhead. I'm angry at myself for not doing such a simple diagnostic step, but happy that Handy R&P was smarter than both the first plumber and myself.
Also, he was very conscious about not tracking dirt in - took shoes off at the door.

Trieu and his brother were a godsend. They fixed our drain problem which the other plumbers hired by home warranty couldn't fix. We called Trieu later during the week and he fit us in over the weekend even with his busy schedule. Trieu came over promptly on time and even though unclogging our kitchen sink was quiet a feat with the clog all the way at the bottom of our 3-story unit, they handled the job with care and diligence. Last Sunday night, our kitchen sink started to clog and I tried to unclog it that night without success. Last night, for about 5 hours, I used a snake but did not get anywhere. I decided that it was time to call a plumber.
I looked at Yelp and initially found another company but they are not available this day. I thought I can wait for them to be available until the next day, but decided that I need to get this clogged sink done quickly.
So I called up Handy Rooter and I was able to talk to Trieu. He told me that he can come in about 30 minutes. He came in right on time and fixed the clogged kitchen sink. Not only that, he educated me on how I should avoid putting things into the garbage disposal as these accumulated food ( that we all think have been taken cared of by the machine) eventually clogs up the pipe. What else? That possibly, in the townhouse I live in, the builders use the smallest pipe that they can use ( that will also satisfy the city building code.) I always thought that the machine munches the food particles which passes through pipes that are as bigs as the ones under our kitchen sink. Turns out, that might not be the case.
Talking about plumbers, I was always afraid calling them as I was sure they are there to charge you high fees.( I always felt like it is going to be like going into a car dealership). I say that Trieu changed this assumption and I think the fee is reasonable. For the peace of mind, time and energy conserved, getting a plumber is a no-brainer. Of course you have to look into reviews/feedbacks to be sure you are getting a good one.
I highly recommend Handy Rooter and Plumbing and though of course I hope not to see Trieu again in the near future, I say I'll call him again when I need plumbing work as I trust his work and work ethic. As I was satisfied about his demeanor and work, I asked him if he could give me an estimate about something I though I needed done in the tub. He walked me through what I could do myself instead and turns out I was worrying about that more than I should be.
Overall, my experience is excellent and I will call Trieu again when I need his service.
I initially called for a service to replace drinking water dispenser. Trieu came right away to take a look and advised me to change the whole filtering system since he sees a wear and tear. Rather than a quick fix and get paid, he made that extra trip and recommend a system I could order from Amazon so he can return to install. I followed his advice. It is all done and working well now. He was professional in every way. I highly recommend his service.
I have two very old bathroom sink faucets ( 20 years or so) that had water dripping. Could not open them to replace the gaskets, so decided to have both replaced.

I called several companies before I found Handy Rooter to replace the 3 handle shower faucet with a single handle in our bathroom. They were very thorough and asked us many questions before they came over. They wanted to know what pipe we have, the shower faucet we are buying and the valve that we will use. They arrived right on time, removed the shower faucets and found that we have copper pipes mostly except a section that came up from the crawl space to the faucets. They told us that they could replace that section of the pipe but need to charge us more which was fair. Then they went to Home Depot to buy what was needed. They finished the job in 3.5 hours. They cleaned up the area very well. We were very happy with what they did and would definitely call them again if we have plumbing issue in the future.
The pipes in our kitchen sink have been leaking for sometime. We finally said we'd get someone to come in and fix it. I went on Yelp this morning and messaged a few plumbers. Trieu responded immediately and asked for pictures of the pipes. He said he could get it done in an hour and gave me a quote.
We set up an appointment for Saturday. But unfortunately, the pipes collapsed and I asked Trieu if he could come in today. He said yes and he arrived in about an hour. As soon as he arrived, he put on a mask, sanitized his hands, and got to work. He was done in less than half an hour!

Trieu came over very quickly on a Monday night to help us with a broken toilet handle. He is prompt, courteous and above all... honest. If you need ANY plumbing done, I highly recommend you call him. He offers extra tips for care all of your plumbing concerns.
Trieu is definitely a consummate professional. He was able to come by much earlier than quoted over the phone, and made sure to make contact with us first to see if this would be ok. I had a problem with my plumbing and I tried three different industrial strength, overnight clog busters from Home Depot and it did not help. I finally gave in to call a plumber. I found Trieu on Yelp because of his 5 stars review and he came within two hours after we spoke. He knew exactly what wrong with my clog and that was from my main sewer line and got to work right away.
Trieu was great. He explained to me the whole process and within an hour, he got my sewer line clear out again. He uses the heavy duty snake clean out pipe drill to about 65 feet toward the sidewalk to the city main line. He even showed me the video of my main sewer line clear out toward the city line. However, that was only a temporary solution, since the main clog was from the tree/bush roots that clog up my sewer pipe, which need to be blast out. The problem is my property do not have the a two way clean out line, so it hard to blast out the root from my house. Because Trieu did a good job, I hired him to installed a 2-way clean out pipe close to the city line, which happened to be next to my RV parking. He came back the next day and installed the 2-way clean out pipe and blast out the tree roots. Now my sewer line is completely clear out and I also gain a black/gray lines dump station for my RV. Overall, he did a good and fast job. Price is reasonable and I would highly recommend him for any plumbing issues or work.
It's been over two weeks and the problem hasn't returned. His price was half of what I was getting quoted from other plumbers, and even after working on this clog for over an hour he still insisted that if he couldn't get it clear there would be no charge.

My toilet wouldn't flush so I sent Trieu a text. (He came to my house a little over a year ago and I was happy with his service so I saved his number). Within a few hours, he stopped by, very punctual. He chose the most economical route to fix the issue (snaking through the sink) rather than pressuring me into a complicated fix (removing the toilet) which I appreciate because he's helping the client as opposed to trying to give an expensive estimate. His price was fair. He's very nice and thorough. I would definitely refer him to others.

I had a problem with my water heater. After speaking with Trieu on the phone, he came over the next day to give me estimates for my choices for repair. He was very friendly and informative, and there was no pressure. The prices he quoted seems reasonable.
Our garbage disposal was making a nasty noise and it sounded as though something was broken. Handy Rooter & Plumbing were the first to respond to my request for a quote, offered a very competitive quotation, and came over first thing the next day. It turned out that it could not be repaired but Trieu installed a new one and ensured that all the new connections were water-tight. He was very pleasant to talk to and efficient in his work. Called them early Monday about needing someone to snake my house drain pipe, due to a blockage impacting two bathrooms. Trieu answered the phone and arranged an appointment at 1:30pm the same day. He quoted me a price if an exterior clean out was available, and a higher price if he had to snake the pipe from the roof vent. Later, he texted me he was able to get to my house early, and arrived with a helper at 11am. Trieu had a face mask and took his shoes off in the house. I showed him the problem and he quickly got to work. He noticed even after clearing the pipe, that it still had water in it. He thought there might be a downstream blockage and worked quite a while to clear it, even going to the roof and hydro jetting through the roof vents. Using his sewage camera, he determined water was in my drain pipe due to the pipe bellying, and not being properly graded. That also explained the blockage because waste was gathering at the bottom of the belly. Trieu told me I should get the pipe grading corrected to prevent future blockages, and to make a future appointment if I wished for him to do the work. In the end, despite having worked so long and going to the roof, he still only charged me the original lower price estimate for the job. Definitely recommend Trieu for plumbing work.

Our shower and toilet was backing up last night and I tried using some Drano to fix the problem. When I got up this morning everything was still very slow to drain, so I called Handy Rooter and Plumbing and spoke to Trieu and we set up an appointment for later that day between 3 and 4 PM.
I got home about 2 PM and flushed the toilet and ran the shower to see how they were doing, and they seemed to be working fine. I texted Trieu to cancel the appointment and he recommended that I run the shower for several minutes and then flush the toilet. Sure enough, the toilet started to back up again, so I texted Trieu again to let him know the problem was back and that I'd like for him to come and check out the problem.
Trieu immediately went to work on identifying the problem and finding the solution. Because my house does not have a clean out, Trieu let me know that he would have to go to the roof to do the clean out, and this would cost $250. Given how much extra work this was and the equipment involved, I thought this was a fair price. He let me know what caused the problem, and was very thorough in Keeping me informed every step of the way, and even alerted me to a potential future problem. This potential problem wasn't something that needed to be done today but given his thorough explanation, I feel like I'm better prepared to make a decision, if I have any future problems.
I give Handy Rooter and Plumbing my highest recommendation.
I had water pressure issue with my sink that the plumbing company that my home insurance recommended was not able to fix. However, they said that my problem was the galvanized pipes (my townhome is only 5 years old and doesn't have galvanized pipes) and that they needed to repipe the whole house (it went basically from what? to WTF???) so before I had to spend thousands of dollars fixing my kitchen, I decided to check their reviews on Yelp (maybe I should've done that first). I noticed that a Yelper had a similar issue with this company and that he ended up calling Handy Rooter who came and fixed his problem.
So I decided to call Handy Rooter and Plumbing, and Trieu was very responsive.
Once he came to my house, Trieu did a quick troubleshoot and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. No need to spend thousands of dollars nor repiping the whole place. He also helped me fix the water pressure in the guest bathroom shower room and even provided me with an estimate of what it would cost if I decide to install a water softener by doing a quick assessment.
What I like about Trieu is that he is very straightforward and takes the time to explain to you what the issue is, what the solution is, and will even make sure that everything works to your satisfaction. He takes pride of his work and doesn't have time to scam customers like other companies.
I now feel much better knowing now that I have someone I can call and trust for my plumbing needs.

I had a problem with my plumbing, and the internet told me it was a clog in the main drain. He was great. Fast, friendly, didn't mind me watching over his shoulder and asking questions, and he talked about what he was doing so I knew what was going on. I couldn't find the sewer clean out, but he tracking it down after going both on the roof and in the basement. It was a tough clog, and he used both the regular snake and the hydrojet to clear it out. Afterwards he had a boroscope-type camera to look down into the main drain, but unfortunately the main clog was on the city side that the camera couldn't reach.

I highly recommend Trieu. Two fo my friends recommended him to me. I am glad to have the call with him. Trieu is a hard worker, a nice man and knowledgeable on his job. He fixed the bathroom leak, dishwasher leak for me. He took video before and after fixing and explained what was wrong and fixed. The price is pretty reasonable. I am not usually write a review on yelp but I believe this guy Trieu from Handy Rooter & Plumbing deserve it. If possible, I would give him 6 stars instead of the 5. He is so efficient and responsive to my request. Reasonable price and explained very clear of the problem and resolved it. He even climbed up to the roof top to snake the drain from top of the vent down to the bottom. Even it got unclogged and water flows, he even went beyond and spent time to clean up the drains for me. The couple times I did not go with Handy Rooter & Plumbing I have regretted it. Trieu at Handy Rooter is the only plumber I call on for plumbing issues now.

He is simply put my go-to-guy when it comes to plumbing issues.

We had a late night emergency this week. Toilets tubs etc were all clogged. All family members needed to use the restrooms. We were panic and sent out a yelp message. Trieu was one of the first service providers who messaged back, in a few minutes, and he even offered to come that late at night.
Before he came, he told us us the cost for him to come right away and for us to wait till tomorrow. It was very considerate and transparent of him giving us both prices. I picked him immediately and it was a great decision.
He showed up in about 20 mins, not only he fixed the blockage for us quickly (with his snake tools), he gave us a detailed explanations of why it happened and showed us the detailed images of our drain system with his camera. The job was done around 10:30pm.
He's also very knowledgeable. Once he figured out the root cause of the blockage, he suggested a follow up service for us and came here the next day to perform such service. He did the job super nicely and again gave us detailed info of what he fixed. We learned a lot from him about our draining systems.
The price was also very reasonable. And we are super happy with his work! Highly recommend everyone who needs a professional plumbing service that's very easy to work with!

I hired Trieu to replace my leaking disposal and install a water reverse osmosis machine, he showed up on time, and did a fantastic job, not to mention his price was awesome compared with other plumbers I had called, will definitely use Trieu for my future plumbing needs.
Excellent service! Had a clogged drain at my parents house. After using the snake to clear the clog, the kitchen sink was still clogged. He then changed all the pipes under the sink. I highly recommend Trieu and Handy Rooter & Plumbing!! We had an ongoing issue with our main line (as I was running the washing machine, all toilets clogged, and our shower and bath started flooding with sewage...yuck!!). Trieu was the third plumber we had out within 6 months to unclog the main line. He finally diagnosed the problem right by doing a camera inspection. He was very thorough in explaining everything and made a few recommendations to solve the problem once and for all. After attempting to snake my kids bathroom shower myself and failing miserably I decided to call a professional plumber. I looked on yelp and ran across Handy Rooter and Plumbing and gave them a call. Trieu the owner answered the phone and gave me a fair price to unclog my shower drain. He came out a few hours later and took care of unclogging my shower drain in 15 minutes. He strongly advised me to get a shower shroom so that my drain would not get clogged with hair in the future.
I believe I have found my new go to plumber.
1. after Christmas Eve dinner, we were ready to clean up. The kitchen sink was clogged up(the very first time since 2001 - brand new house.)
2. decided to leave everything not cleaned without calling rooter service.
3. called Triud around 9am in the Christmas Day (next day), and he seemed being waked up by me.
4. He proposed that I saved more by having the service next day but I was willing to pay more to solve the problems.
5. Triud arrived within a hour and perform a professional job.
6. knowledgeable, polite young man.

I highly recommend Handy Rooter & Plumbing. Trieu was very responsive, friendy, and VERY knowledgable. He fixed my bathroom sink in no time while maintaining covid-19 precautions.
Trieu and his partner are true professionals, I asked for a quote and was given one within 30 minutes. He asked for some pictures and gave me a fair price since I had already purchased a new garbage disposal . We scheduled a install date for job and was on time, notifying via text he was on his way. He arrived and took proper C19 precautions by wearing a mask along with his coworker. In no time flat they removed the old one and installed new one. I mentioned that I had a leaky water line going into fridge and he took care of it as well, did not even charge me. As he was writing me up the final invoice the water line leaked a bit from shutoff value, without even thinking twice he grabbed his tools and took care of it. Since the shutoff valve was off for some time he explained sometimes just needs adjustments, which he did with no problem. We even chatted abit about his family and snowboarding adventures he had with his kids. Trieu is a class act and very good at his profession. My new contact for any indoor plumbing needs. What a professional! Came to my house after I had been totally scammed by another plumbing company. Was told by other plumber I needed all this work done which could cost so much money which we don't really have right now, I'm glad I at least stopped there and called Handy Rooter. Trieu came to our house, looked at our water main line, and after two minutes assured me I didnt need to do the costly additions the other plumber scared me into thinking I needed. When I was floored and embarrassed, I offered to at least pay him for coming by to which he responded, I don't need to take any of your money. What an ethical professional! Trieu totally saved us tonight! Our kitchen sink got clogged in late afternoon (even more of a disaster because one of our bathroom sinks is currently broken, so we were down to one working sink in the master bath for a family of 5!). After calling several 24 hour emergency plumbers who wouldn't come out until tomorrow, we reached Trieu, who agreed to come within an hour, even though his business was about to close for the day. He arrived with a face covering (which we really appreciate), did great work, was very fast, efficient, and courteous. His quote was also more reasonable than the other plumbers we called. Trieu is 100% honest and excellent Plumber. Trieu is the 3rd plumber we had come to our house to attempt to fix our problem. Originally wevwanted a Old faucet to be placed with a new Kohler one we bought. Our water pressure was fine in both the cold and hot water lines before we had the faucet replaced. The first plumber replaced the faucet and in that process kinked the cold water line. Because of the kinks the water pressure was very low in the cold line. Was told by the second plumber we needed to get a new Kohler color water line. We ordered the line and the second plumber installed it correctly. But the cold water pressure remained low. Checked yelp and found Handy Rooter & Plumbing. But before Treiu could come out the water pressure in the cold line seemed to correct it's self. Today Trieu did a water pressure check of the lines and flushed the lines. He said the faucet was ok and the pipes are ok. Treiu stated that more than likely what happened when the cold water pipe was opened up a little bit of rusted material from the pipe fell off and caused a problem. What I liked about Trieu is he gave us options. Said we could do nothing or do the flushing to see where the problem is and isn't. We opted for the flushing. The other 2 plumbers didn't do any kind of testing to eliminate problems in the water lines and pipe. I highly highly recommend Handy Rooter & Plumbing. Will be Our new plumber!!!

We had our upstairs shower backing up into the kitchen sink downstairs any time we turned it on. After spending a couple of hours trying to snake it ourselves, with no luck, I decided to get on Yelp to try to find a reasonably priced plumber. Handy Rooter and Plumbing caught my eye because of the advertised $99 special and 5 star reviews.
My husband called Trieu first thing Monday morning to explain our problem. Although he was booked all day, he said he would try to come by in between appointments to check it out.
He came by a few hours later to take a look. We determined that we didn't have the outside clean out that was needed for the $99 special (which is very clear in his ad), but he could flush out the clog through the kitchen sink pipes for a nominal fee. We were happy with his quote and his professionalism, so we decided to go ahead and hire Trieu for the job. Since he came between appointments for the assessment, he couldn't do it right then, but came back a few hours later to clear our clog.
Trieu was extremely professional, efficient, and friendly. He took his shoes off at our door, replaced the pipe that had to be cut, and cleaned up all water and mess (which wasn't much).
Handy Rooter and Plumbing will be our go to from now on when we have plumbing needs.

This is my go-to plumbing company! I highly recommend Handy Rooter and Plumbing. Trieu is honest and does diligent work. I am usually particular and picky with the work done. Trieu does the work right and has the customers best interest at heart.
I had an extremely slow leak on my water heater. I sent some pictures to Trieu and he gave me a competitive quote over the phone. I agreed and he came by to perform the work. He picked up the new water heater and everything was installed within the afternoon. He even replaced a valve not completely closing due to my hard water so I won't have issues later. I watched Trieu perform the work and he is very detailed and knowledgeable about plumbing.
After the work was done, I asked him about another leak I noticed and he helped me fix the leak with some plumbers tape free of charge.

We had a minor emergency with our drains backing up and flooding our garage. Trieu came out to assess the situation and give us a quote. His quote was ~40% less than the first one we got and he was able to come out the next day and finish the job in a few hours. Clearly 5 stars for this business. Handy Rooter & Plumbing installed a two-way sewage clean-out today. Some of the things that stood out in relation to the outstanding service we received:
1. Promptly returned my initial call, and asked good questions to help with an initial diagnosis of the problem.
2. Rapid turnaround in scheduling an in-person visit to give an estimate, which included climbing up on my roof to do a diagnostic scope of my pipes (for no charge), because he wanted to be sure to accurately diagnose the problem before jumping to a specific treatment. He wanted to do the right thing to fix the underlying problem.
3. Excellent teacher - really took the time to explain what he was seeing, what the implications were, and what our options were for addressing it.
4. After completing the job, took the trouble to take us on a tour of our plumbing (with a camera on a hose) to show us what the insides of our pipes looked like and what the new pipe connections he had made looked like.
5. Sent photos of pre and post status of the underground pipes after the job was done, for our records.
6. Due to the current pandemic, everybody wore a mask, even when working outside.
I will definitely be a return customer!
We needed two sinks cleaned out. They weren't draining properly. These guys responded quickly with a quote and were the most reasonably priced. I set up an appointment for the next day and they were on time and very kind and polite. The work was done quickly and recommendations were made for replacing the metal pipes so that clogging wouldn't happen again so easily. Great professional service, courteous and clean. Provided 3 services in one trip even though I was only calling for the water tank replacement. Initial call for service was to replace a still functioning 17 year old water tank before it broke that could cause major water damage in garage (this has happened once before). Asked Trieu to look at my slow draining laundry sink drain. He checked under the kitchen sink and snaked it. While working under the sink Trieu noticed a sink pipe that would start to leak and replaced that too. Great catch. Very satisfied.
We had a sink clogged. The clearance for the pipe access is small. Trieu was happy to provide the help in unclogging it. He also fixed some leakage at the same time. Everything went very efficiently. Would recommend.

Trieu was great and responsive. It was very hard for me to find a plumber on President's Day to fix leaking issue in my house. Trieu was a lifesaver and came right away. The job was neat and quick. I'm very happy with his work.
I can't say enough positive things about Trieu and his business. He is the person who saved me thousands of dollars by properly diagnosing my issue and addressing it. I thought i had a sewer problem. A number of other plumbers were quick to recommend that i should just install a new sewer pipe since my house is too old and the old pipes always start to create problems, due to roots, bad soil, rust, etc. Six different plumbers had the same recommendation and this job was going to cost me a ton of money. Trieu was the only one who came and insisted on running a camera in my sewer pipe to properly diagnose and then price this project. And here is the surprise. He actually found out that my sewer pipe was already replaced in the past, likely by previous home owner. I had a newer pipe in great condition and all we had to do is add a clean-out, for better maintenance. I was shocked. He literally saved me from ripping out a newer sewer pipe, replacing it for no reason and paying thousands of $$ more. Needless to say - i would call him again and again for ANY plumbing needs. He is very direct and very honest. He was also very prompt and professional during the entire process. Do no hesitate to contact him.

Awesome work! He came and broke down everything he was doing and working on. Showed me the steps he was taking to fixing the clog on my main sewer line. This is a honest and great plumber that I will be going back to in the future.
We've had a shower drain clogged and waste water backed up to another bathroom. My husband called Handy Rooter & Plumbing around 8am on Monday, and he showed up with all his equipment at 10am on the same day. He assessed the problem quickly, and started working with Hydro-Jet. Our drain was cleared in less than 40 min.
He is prompt (he even called back to tell us he could arrive earlier), really knows his stuff and explains his process and very reasonably priced. I am very thankful for Trieu and Handy Rooter & Plumbing. Our toilet backed up and water was spilling over the toilet and onto the floor and into the laundry room. It was a mess. I reached out to Handry Rooter and got an appointment scheduled for later in the day. Trieu arrived on time and was very friendly and efficient. He took off his shoes before entering the house and brought a blanket to put down on the floor to protect while augering the toilet. I also had him fix the refill valve on the toilet that was leaking water. In the end he provided me a detailed invoice and went through everything with me slowly and clearly. There was even a warrenty for his work. All in all I am very pleased with the service I received and would highly recommend them and use them again. Thank you!

Best service i've received by far!
The garbage disposal under my kitchen sink was broken, and I called handy rooter and plumbing to get it fixed. Trieu answered the call and gave me an appointment for early in the morning the very next day and also an estimate for the work (which itself was super impressive). Trieu was right on time, and got to work. He not only analyzed the problem well, but also gave us all possible options to fix it. He was very knowledgable, and gave us a detail description of what was going on, and what he was going to do to fix it. He also gave us suggestions on what to do next if something went wrong. He charged us the amount that was discussed earlier, and there were absolutely no surprises when it came to that. Trieu is super professional and very efficient as well! Let me start by off saying I don't review much, but this is the LEAST I could do for Trieu. He came over for a free estimate (with a mask for those of you who find this important like me), and spent a lot of time with us trying to diagnose our issue. We just moved into a house we purchased and noticed our pipes were making hammering noises. It was driving me crazy and of course I did my google researching for days before trying to call someone. Well, I'm so glad I found Trieu and didn't waste all my money installing unnecessary things (water hammer arrestor, water pressure regulator) that google told me to do since none of them were the solutions. He helped us isolate the problem to our hot water at our shower by turning off different valves and and testing the faucets and everything. After turning off the hot water to the shower, and fixing some loops under our bathroom vanity, no more hammering! He basically told us that we just need to replace the cartridge at the shower and sent us a plumbing supply store where to get it from since our shower brand wasn't standard. I seriously thought we were going to have to blow out walls and go on a hunt for some loose pipes and feared it was going to cost so much money. He made my day/week/month (probably year since 2020 has definitely sucked so far)! Trieu, I cannot thank you enough and this 5 star review (wish I could give 10) was well deserved. He really cares about you and tries to save you money, which we really appreciated. A truly genuine person in this crazy world. I'm going to tell everyone I know to call him for plumbing issues!!

I had drain water in crawl space. Two other plumbers quoted me $1200-$1800 to identify the problem. I called Handy Rooter based on a recommendation from a co-worker. Trieu came out that evening and within 15min found the broken pipe. He had the pipe fixed and was out the door in about an hour, for a small fraction of what I had previously been quoted. I have found my go to plumber.

Trieu has saved us time & time again! Our house is getting older and has had several plumbing issues over the last few months. We were lucky the first time we called Handy Rooter & Plumbing, Trieu came out right away to repair our broken bathtub faucet that wouldn't shut off. Since then he has replaced our main pipes, installed a bidet, snaked our laundry and bathroom pipes, replaced a sink faucet, etc etc etc, the list goes on! Each time Trieu was prompt, patient and courteous no matter how big or how small the job was. He always explained things to me on how the plumbing works. I'm sorry we've had to call on him so much but we really appreciate his professionalism and expertise! Thank you, Trieu!
Wow, we were so lucky to find Trieu. The water pipes below our house had sprung a leak. The first plumber we called (despite good reviews) wanted $3600 to fix (just to replace the short section which had leaked with new pipe!), and close to $8k if we chose to replace the piping instead. This first plumber made it sound like an _entire section_ of piping had exploded' and we had a huge leak and tons of water on the ground. He said they would have to bring in special equipment to suction out the water, dry it, etc.
My BS-o-meter went off, as I had a feeling this was predatory pricing.
So we called for a second opinion.
Trieu came over after dinner hours (wow!) and did't charge any extra for this. And he spent WAY more time under our house to diagnose the situation before coming back up. (he spent probably 6-7 minutes whereas the 1st plumber was back in less than 1 minute)
He showed me actual videos of the water spray/leaks and said NO the pipes did not explode, and NO, there was not a huge pond down there, etc. Since it was just clean tap water supply, it was safe to air dry. It was 2 pinhole leaks and he would only chage $425 to replace with better quality copper pipe (medium grade). We said Yes! and within 1 hour he had everything repaired and working again. Whew.
-- It's now been almost 2 weeks and we've had zero issues since then. We're certainly very grateful that honest, hardworking people like Trieu still exist. He is racking up the karma points in our book. We're planning on replacing our aging water heater, and he is our first choice.
Trieu is super awesome - I have used him for jobs at my house and also at my rentals - he always does a great job and is very professional - you won't be sorry if you choose him

Called Handy Rooter and Plumbing to fix some plumbing issues in my kitchen. He was very professional and detailed about his work. He took his time and also checked all the bathroom sinks and showers for leakage and flow at no charge. Very reasonable in prices and very excellent in quality of work. Definitely recommending him to friends and family.
Called a plumber to the house from a referral. I expected another quick clean out with minimal time spent checking out all adjacent drains. Not with TRU. Tru is VERY thorough and provides excellent service. Not only did he fix the clog but he went through and inspected the toilet tank and shower?which other plumbers have never done. Told me to buy those shower, tub and sink shrooms for a better hair trap. Thank you Tru. Definitely will call you if there's ever another plumbing issue.
I called Trieu for a leak in the kitchen sink. He said he will come for a home visit for a free estimate. It was nice to hear that I can get an estimate before the work is done. He came on time, explained the problem ( the garbage dispenser mounting has become loose over a period) . He removed the dispenser and fixed it back within an hour or so - for a reasonable agreed amount. Unrelated to this, he also installed a bath sprout, since the existing one was leaking, for a nominal charge.
Next day, we found that there was again a leak under the kitchen sink. Naturally we suspected that something went wrong with his work. within 45 mins of our calling, he came and detected that the problem has nothing to do with what he did earlier. He showed that the faucet hose has become loose and hence the leak. He tightened it and the problem got fixed. As a goodwill, he did not charge me for this visit. He was thoroughly professional throughout, fun to talk with and to the point. Will strongly recommend him to any discerning customer.

I would highly recommend Handy Rooter and Plumbing! Trieu responded quickly after I called him. He was professional, knowledgeable and explained every step he took. He's extremely reasonably priced and knows his stuff! Would definitely call him again and will recommend him to my friends.
Trieu is amazing. I used him before when he was with CK Plumming and I saved his number. He came out on a Sunday afternoon and fixed my toilet leak with in minutes. He is an honest hard working man I will definitely recommend him to everyone for all there Plumming needs!!!

Trieu helped to fix a new whole house water filter and a water softener in my home. The whole process was very smooth and he was very upfront with pricing. The shower arm in our master bedroom broke and water was leaking behind the tiled wall for about a week. We thought that we would need to have the tiled shower torn down for repair due to damage. I found Trieu's businesss on Yelp so I decided to call him about the problem. He came out the next day. Not only did he fix the shower arm, examined and explained to us that there's no damage behind the wall. Thru that processs, he also showed us another leaking source due to the worn shower cartridge which we also had him replaced. Based on this positive experience, we hired Trieu to replace our water main shutoff valve which proofed to be another awesome experience. We found Trieu friendly, honest and a no nonsense hardworking business owner and technician. He offers quick response, good customer service at a reasonable price. Great service. I called him yesterday about a garbage disposal not working. He came the next day and cleaned it out and also noticed the kitchen faucet not turning properly so he offered to fix that too. He took pictures and videos of his work before and after and texted them to me. Helpful to see what was done when you are not there to see for yourself. Fast service!
I had water leaking out of my unit. I knew that having a HOA would make it a little harder to find a plumber willing to do the work. Out of the 10 different places I called, Trieu from handy rooter & plumbing was the only one willing to come over, take a look and give me a free estimate. I'm so glad he did because turns out the damage was not as bad as I thought and I didn't need to involve my HOA! Trieu was very helpful and took my request on the same day. I had a clog with my kitchen sink and he was able to clear it up in less than an hour and explain how to keep my sinks clog-free.

Great rate, incredibly fast response and service. Helpful technician, even showed me a cheap shower drain cover to prevent reoccurrences.
Trieu was prompt, located my plumbing issue right away and walked me through how to fix the issue in case it were to happen again. Couldn't have asked for better customer service. I'll be calling him for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Trieu offered to do appointment earlier because he had finished his prior job early, great. I had provided photos on the job I needed a quote, main valve replacement with 1/4 turn valve on 1 line instead of multi-turn valve that wouldn't fully shut off. Also I had a bathroom valve that had a stem leak and needed to be replaced. Trieu was efficient, professional, tidy, and performed very high quality work. His soldering with the 1 copper was meticulous and excellent quality. He completed the entire job exactly as he had quoted. Although I do most of my plumbing, I will definitely use Trieu for my tougher plumbing projects. Thanks again for excellent work.
Trieu was amazing and extremely flexible, especially on a Saturday afternoon when several other companies refused to call back or have their plumbers accept an emergency request. The main valve burst right outside the house so I had to shut off the water from the city line as well as main line into the home. Trieu agreed to show up and work for the next few hours replacing the damaged pipe, replacing with a brand new one. With two young kids, the last minute rescue job was absolutely essential and it was top-notch work. I have a go-to plumber moving forward and recommend the workmanship and work product!

Trieu's work is excellent. He replaced our old toilet quickly, recommending the perfect one for our bathroom. He's professional and friendly. He was also nice enough to come back and install a hose bidet for us as part of the original quote when we realized a few weeks later that it would be difficult for us to install it on our own, as we had planned. The new toilet and bidet make such a big difference in our old bathroom!

Trieu gave me an estimate over the phone after I described the problem and sent pictures. He came out the same day and was on time. When you need a plumber, call Handy Rooter & Plumbing first. You will be glad that you did. I recently needed my A. O. Smith water heater repaired. After chatting with various plumbers through Yelp, I came to the conclusion that I would be better off replacing my water heater. Trieu is the owner of Handy Rooter & Plumbing and he gave me a great quote for the brand of water heater that I wanted, which was Bradford White. His quote was based on the normal work required to replace an easily accessible water heater located in the garage. He requested a picture of my water heater. From the picture that I sent him, he could tell that it might take more work and material than a normal water heater replacement. He did not increase his quote. When he got to my home and saw the water heater, he saw that it would involve even more work than indicated by the picture. I should have provided him multiple pictures of the water heater from different angles. He did an excellent job replacing not just the water heater but also the supply lines and straps holding the water heater in place. His goal is to do a quality job. Even though the job toke much longer than a normal water heater replacement, he did not charge me for the additional time. He charged me his original quote.
