Bob came to my rescue when a faulty kitchen tap caused me to have no water in my sink (not fun washing dishes in my bathtub)! He stopped by later that day after he finished a scheduled job, quickly diagnosed the issue and recommended a new faucet to purchase. He even called his wholesalers to see if he could get me a better deal than what I found online. When it arrived I contacted him and he arrived early (always appreciated) to do the work. Of course it wasn't as straightforward as we would have hoped but we had fun talking while he worked. Bob is thoroughly experienced, completely trustworthy and I will have him back to check out my tankless water heater soon! You get what you pay for with tradesmen and while you may find someone cheaper, you won't find anyone better. Reasonably priced in my opinion. Quality work, reliable and dependable. Can't recommend Bob enough!

We hired Andy to remove our old, outdated tub and showers from our condo and had him install a new tub and shower pan. Andy was beyond professional and didn't hide anything from us.  His quote for the work was very reasonable. He not only brought the plumbing up to code, he also explained to what was going on and if any adjustments had to be made.   Just a really honest, professional job all around and  someone I am happy to refer to others with plumbing needs.

I bought a new-to-me condo with an old water heater, and part of the deal was a credit to replace it and modify the original, obviously-cost-cutting installation to bring it up to code.  There were about four other trivial things I wanted done on the same trip as well.

Chihuahua was on the advice of a realtor, and while not the cheapest, they're a family-staffed, small business, and I discussed some water heater options (replace tank or do more expensive tankless water heater).  

Anthony was knowledgeable about the code requirements and what would and wouldn't work, and was honest that they'd never installed the newest version of the tankless water heater that would work without additional venting requirements.  I chose the old-fashioned tank.

After the water heater was installed, I inspected it and asked Where's the (quoted) drip pan? and saw the realization of the error on his face, but he politely and apologetically asked if we could schedule a follow-up visit at no charge.  We did; it was done perfectly.

And on the subsequent visit, there was some more work to be done that I requested, but the final bill was cheap enough that I don't think he charged me for the visit at all.

Anthony was also honest about the threads on a shower valve being (previously) stripped and suggested it might not be worth the time/effort to fix the issue (rather than working for extra hours just to add revenue, as some would).  

I don't know who the previous Yelper talked to that impatiently sent them away, but I'm happy to say that this wasn't my experience at all!

Jason has done a couple of jobs for us upon moving into our new home and he has been professional and responsive to the urgency of the job. We appreciate his work ethic and wanting the job to be done right.

Fantastic service and quick service!!  The response time has always been immediate.  Thomas, the owner, was very knowledgeable and informative. We appreciated the time he takes to explain stuff.  Fair pricing makes his services less stressful.  We don't always take the time to do reviews, but after using his services for about the 4th time now, on our properties, I feel we can be very confident in giving a review! It's a well deserved one!

Ziggy has been the neighborhood plumber for over 30 years. He has reasonable rates and great service. He's done our plumbing for 15 years and he's never once had to come back to fix a problem; he gets things right the first time.

Ziggy runs his business from his home, but if you search for the business you might see an address on Deerpark. Apparently that's an error from Google maps photographing his truck on another street. 2752 Burgener is the actual address.

This review started as a 1 star review.  I spoke with Steve prior to  finishing this, and have adjusted the star rating and write up accordingly.

So, this is the experience with the service we received from Steve's Plumbing.  375$ to tell me where the clog was, but he was unable to clear it.

Here is what happened.

We have a rental property with senior citizens as tenants.  The property is 1950's, cast iron piping below the slab.  Every few years the drain from the sink, to the tub, out to the main, gets clogged between the tub and then main.  This causes the tub and the sink to back up and we call a plumber out to come snake the line and clear the clog.  We have used Steve in the past, and during that visit, a year ago, it was great service.  Our renters where very happy, he snaked the line, cleared the clog, everyone could move about their lives.

Until Sunday when it happened again.  So, I called Steve back, it being Sunday, he couldn't make it out, perfectly fine and our renters where good to go with that.  Steve makes it out mid day Monday, can't clear the clog, he works it two hours.  Says he is pulling back sludge on the snake and it looks to possible be a broken pipe.  Old house, caster iron pipe under the slab, this is not something that is unheard of, and I took this to mean the worse.  Steve says he will need to get a locator out to see where the snake is stopping and where the possible break is.  Total cost 375$ + what ever its going to be to then begin to fix the problem.  He get's his locator guy out, Ruben, great guy, did a great job, very knowledgeable.  We locate the possible end point, but we wont know 100% for sure unless we begin to dig.  We start talking about that and the dates it can start.  Mind you, I have senior citizens living in the place, they need their shower.  I need to get this fixed as soon as possible and not have this go out for too long a time.  We talk dates, and it just isn't working out; the only date Steve can make is Thursday, and then he is booked till Monday.  If the problem is bigger then just a one day job, then who knows how long this is going to take.  Add that to the now remodel of the bathroom that is about to happen and its just not a good day for a home owner.  Steve recommends maybe getting another guy out to take a look, see if they can expedite getting under the slab and getting the busted pip fixed.  Since it is late in the day by this point I agree, told Steve I would let him know.

Contact another local guy.  He gets in, takes a few looks, we explain all the above, he ask's a few questions, says he wants to try something, if it doesn't work then no charge.  He tries, it, it works, clog is cleared and my renters can take their shower.

As I said at the start, this was a 1 star review.  I, the consumer, felt taken.  Yes, Steve came out and did prompt work, he was courteous, knowledgeable, respectful, but nothing was resolved.  The clog was still present and I was out 375$.  I spoke with Steve prior to posting this review.  We had a good back and fourth.  He worked hard, but in this consumers mind, I paid for no resolution.  I felt like I took my car in to get a leak fixed in a tire, only to be charged for not repairing said tire.  Yes, they might have racked the car, taken the tire off, looked at, tried a few things that normally would have worked, but in the end, there was still a leak and I was charged.

During the conversation Steve and I agreed that his contractor needed to be paid.  Ruben did a great job as I said above, but since Steve was unable to resolve the clog, and that a possible mistake might have been made, that he would refund me for his time.  Total cost now 225$.  As a consumer and one who recommends services to my friends and family, people like Steve will get my recommendations because they stood up and didn't charge for services they couldn't resolve.

Would definitely recommend 10/10! I've experienced a lot of plumbing issues with terrible customer service in the past so it was very relieving
for Chris to be Super responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly! He helped with a copper pipe leak in my backyard and he assessed/fixed it in literally minutes. It was awesome. Thank you

They say confession is good for the soul and I confess: I got stuck on a do-it-yourself plumbing project. I had a couple of plumbers quote me prices to do the whole job of installing my whole house water filtration system and the prices were unreasonably high...cha-CHING! I decided to install myself and save some dollars. I was in the home stretch when I turned the water on and had a couple of small leaks where I had soldered copper and fittings together. I tried to re-do my work but to no avail.

I saw good things about Generations Plumbing and asked if they could come out today. Alex said he could be here in about an hour and he showed up in under an hour. He checked out the leaks, drained the system, re-soldered the bad joint, redid some of my plastic (PVC) connections with better sealant than I could get at Home Depot, tested it a was done in about an hour and charged me a very reasonable fee.
Yes, the price was right on but it was worth my not worrying about problems later on.

Just for kicks I asked what he would charge to do the entire installation from start to finish. His price was about $100-275 less than what the first two plumber quoted me.
Finding a honest plumber is worth their weight in gold. What is just as important is a guy who takes pride in doing every job right. He told me what they do on water heater installs that is head and shoulders above what other plumbers do for the same price, as far as doing it to current building code. While I don't need a water heater right now Alex would be my first choice for the job.

We had water leaking near our kitchen sink clean out. Plumber Bob responded quickly and came the same day to resolve the issue. He even recommend restoration company which turned out to be good. I will definitely be using Plumber Bob if I have to use a plumber again.

Our garbage disposer stopped working and the flushing mechanisms on three toilets were ready for new replacements, and the base of one toilet seemed to be leaking.  Fortunately, we had a referral for Personal Plumbing, Inc. and the owner sent a very competent and very personable plumber, within a matter of hours after my call for help.  Their prices were more than fair.  Also, their plumber discovered that the bolts securing the kitchen sink in place, were very loose and the sink was in danger of dropping completely out.  So he tightened them with an appropriate tool, and needless to say, this was the potential for a very expensive accident.  I have used many plumbing firms over the years and I give this company my very highest praise and definitely recommend them as your go to Plumbing Company.

Kerry is reliable, moderately priced and does excellent work in the Clairemont area. He is straight forward, and does not try to sell you a service or something you do not need. He will even fix items or situations made worse by an DIY enthusiast without judgment. Installs parts you purchase if you prefer, or will provide. We recommend him highly.

I made my first contact to Aqua Tech Plumbing through Yelp.com.  They were one of several I contacted for a water heater replacement.  When you work with Aqua Tech you work with Ivan.  There was no waiting for return calls, no one to tell you that someone would get back to you - it was Ivan.  Ivan came out when he said he would and made schedule from the very start.  
He was able to find a unit for us and install it as requested.  He answered any question and concern I presented and in the end gave us a very fair price for the unit and installation, during which he maintained open communication with me with any detail I questioned.

His customer service is exceptional.  And at the job completion I immediately had an invoice in my email in box.  

You will not go wrong using Aqua Tech for your plumbing needs.  Service, attention to detail, and quality work can be expected.

You don't know how hesitant I was calling a new plumber to replace the faucet and shower head in my bathroom. Previous plumbing jobs have always been a dirty and expensive experience; Why do they always have to leave such a disaster area? Ruben was the complete opposite. I know it wasn't easy replacing the shower head and faucet without going through the drywall in the back, but Ruben did it! It's always a relief when you find the right professional for the job; Ruben is now officially in my contacts. Phew.

We had a very good experience with Doug. He came out within 20 minutes of our call to repair a copper pipe that broke in the wall. He was reasonable and experienced. Great local plumber, highly recommend.

We had Josh Henderson come out cleared whole house and tell us exactly what we needed to do to access the main sewer line where problem was in line. He came back the next day and only charged $50 dollars to clear drain! The first company wanted to charge us 3000 - 12000 dollars! Honest company and great employee! I would definitely use again!

They have the worst customer service! When asking for an approximate quote over the phone, the receptionist said I am not a plumber and I cannot help you, I have other customers on the phone. Good-bye! ummm, excuse me but your job requires that you know basic information regarding the services your company offers. I refuse to give them a star, but it looks like that is not an option, so consider my 1 star -10, as in don't even bother.
