Trust is a priceless commodity when you work with trade guys. In this, and all respects, Bob shines. I have called him out for some sluggish problems on my 1896 home and a major stoppage in the past, and you know that comes with the possibility of serious issues.  It has never phased him to work at this old house. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and the price is always right. I appreciate his promptness in responding, and his ability to explain the problem and the solution. He is a gem! I highly recommend Neighborhood Plumbing!

Blaine removed our old dishwasher and replaced it with our new one.  Oh, and BTW he hauled away our old one (extra$) but well worth it!

Berto and Jack came to fix one problem and ended  up fixing 4 other things I needed done on the spot.  They were very professional and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything in detail so I understood the problem. These guys were awesome.  Give them a raise. Canyon Hills Plumbing and their team provide a great service at affordable pricing. I will definitely use them for all of my future plumbing needs.

Fitzgerald Plumbing was on site and fixed our leak without a couple hours of contacting them. Super fast response time. They also took pictures and uploaded them for us so we could see exactly what work was done. There was also a written description of the step by step process of all the work done. I was definitely impressed and relieved. It was so nice to move on with my day knowing the problem was fixed.

Ziggy has been the neighborhood plumber for over 30 years. He has reasonable rates and great service. He's done our plumbing for 15 years and he's never once had to come back to fix a problem; he gets things right the first time.

Ziggy runs his business from his home, but if you search for the business you might see an address on Deerpark. Apparently that's an error from Google maps photographing his truck on another street. 2752 Burgener is the actual address.

Steve is part of our family, being married to my step-niece. We have been using been using Steve for over 15 years. He has been very professional, dependable and responsive, and always willing to assist in emergencies.

During a Thanksgiving holiday there was a leak in the main water line to the house. He came out to make the repair that required custom work and gaskets. On other occasions he fixed a waterline that the compression fitting had exploded going to the ice machine that a handyman hooked up at the same time fixed a value in the bathroom.  This was the same day we invited his family over for dinner.

He has installed a pressurized toilet, a new shutoff value, a new water heater, snaked the waterline from the kitchen to the main line and several fixtures in our home. Several times he went ahead and replace some external facets that I did not know needed to be fixed, but was needed.  Every time Steve does work not once did he have to redo or any rework. When it comes to any plumbing needs, I have the best confidence in Steve to do it right the first time.

He has also done work on our rental property. I had a main waste line break on a cast iron pipe that was over 60 years old. I had a quote of 5K, by a plumber sent from the insurance company only to find out the claim was not going to be covered. Steve did the job for 1.5K and fixing only water was needed. He also did a garbage disposal replacement and fixed some leaking pipes. Although he is family I would not be using him if he was not up to par or did quality work. I have come to realize that if you want quality work done right the first time you have to pay for all the years of experience and wisdom that Steve has to offer.  I will be using Steve in the future for all of our plumbing needs.

Like a previous poster, I too felt like I've been to the plumbing contractor school of hard knocks when I had a cold water slab leak.  All the plumbers that I called were BBB'ed and were checked for contractor's license.  Some even had positive reviews on yelp.  

The first guy brought his leak detection contractor and they started off fine, but the plumber cut into my cold water line under my kitchen sink.  The idea was to cap the water and isolate where exactly the leak was located since jackhammering and fixing the leaking pipe was still on the table.  Eventually, I decided for a re-pipe.

Well, it's all fine and dandy to cut the cold water line and cut water to the kitchen faucet, but the guy didn't take into account that I had a single-handle faucet and the backpressure from the still connected hot water line was causing water to flow through the cut line.  Into my walls which were previously dry.   I dropped the first guy for lack of knowledge.

I gathered quotes from 4 other guys and thought I selected a good plumbing company except for how they referred me to a water damage company that resorted to scare tactics.  Mold, asbestos, lead, ripping of my newly rennovated cabinets, etc.  A search on the web and a visit to the cdc.gov website assured me that this was overkill for a one-time leak that was dried out within 24/48 hrs.  So I declined the water damage company services, dried out the walls myself with a carpet dryer rental, and informed the plumber that I was only going to do the re-piping.  All fine back and forth communication until the morning that they were supposed to start work.  They were almost an hour late with no phone calls when I found out that what they advertised on the web didn't match their paper estimate.  I called them mentioning that they were late and also asked for an explanation on the near bait-and-switch.  I wasn't happy with their excuses and their begrudged concession to use what was advertised.

In the end, I went with Plumber Bob as he was one of the other guys I had gotten quotes on.  I remembered how upfront he was on what he was going to do and how he spent the time explaining the different types of copper pipes (thinner type M vs. thicker/overkill type L).  He didn't argue, he explained.  His pricing was also extremely competitive.  For the price he gave, I got both the re-pipe and the drywall repairs afterwards.  The second guy would have only given me the re-pipe at only a slightly lower price.

When Plumber Bob showed up, he made me a very happy camper by bringing the type L pipes that he knew I was attached to.  He does all his own soldering so he might not be as fast as a bigger company with crew and overhead, but I found that all the more assuring.  He is careful of where he cuts into the drywall and does try to minimize any disturbance/dust.  He cleans up at the end of each day.  

Plumber Bob does excellent work.  My dad who used to be a welder examined the solders every day and gave a thumbs up.  More telling, perhaps, is that once the re-pipe was all done, there were no leaks at all on the first try.  The water meter doesn't move at all like it did before with the slab leak.  With the new pipes and new insulation of the pipes, the hot water comes out faster and hotter.  I've had to lower the thermostat on the hot water heater because it's hotter than before.  

I'm very pleased with Plumber Bob and would happily recommend him.  

edit on 9/28:  I noticed after I posted this review that someone else had a negative review of Plumber Bob.  I'm sad to see that as I think my major job and my bad experience with past plumbers might have prioritized  my re-pipe job over the toilet/faucet repair.  

I'm sure that if Plumber Bob had a office staff to schedule things for him, things would have turned out different, but he's a small guy with great prices because he doesn't have a secretary or salesperson.

Good work, decent prices. Will use them again if I need too. Installed new sink, faucet & disposal I had purchased. Also fixed my toilet for me.

Kerry is reliable, moderately priced and does excellent work in the Clairemont area. He is straight forward, and does not try to sell you a service or something you do not need. He will even fix items or situations made worse by an DIY enthusiast without judgment. Installs parts you purchase if you prefer, or will provide. We recommend him highly.

I made my first contact to Aqua Tech Plumbing through Yelp.com.  They were one of several I contacted for a water heater replacement.  When you work with Aqua Tech you work with Ivan.  There was no waiting for return calls, no one to tell you that someone would get back to you - it was Ivan.  Ivan came out when he said he would and made schedule from the very start.  
He was able to find a unit for us and install it as requested.  He answered any question and concern I presented and in the end gave us a very fair price for the unit and installation, during which he maintained open communication with me with any detail I questioned.

His customer service is exceptional.  And at the job completion I immediately had an invoice in my email in box.

Words can't express the gratitude I have for Ruben and All Time plumbing. Just when everyone told me I was looking at thousands of dollars in work, Ruben and his professional demeanor came and found not only the source to the original leak and problem but identified another problem we had been curious about with the water heater. We had a very good experience with Doug. He came out within 20 minutes of our call to repair a copper pipe that broke in the wall. He was reasonable and experienced. Great local plumber, highly recommend.

baird's is AMAZING!!! called them on memorial day when we had a shower drain clog, they came out and cleared it out within 15 min and only charged $30 when other places wanted to charge $200+. definitely would recommend them!!!

This not a trustworthy company. They told me there was something wrong with the pipes under my home,  that they were leaking and had to be replaced for 6500.  Had a suspicion something didn't seem right so I called another plumber.He said nothing was wrong. Snaked the drains and everything has been perfect since. Get a second opinion before spending any money with this company. Others in our neighborhood have had the same experience with Bay and Shore.
