I cannot say enough good things about Tim and his crew.
I recently purchased an old home, and I knew the pipes were old. Since I was going to do other renovations, I decided to update the plumbing at the same time.
Tim came out and performed an inspection, and gave me very clear recommendations. He explained everything so I understood why he was recommending the updates. He was able to give me a quote within 48hrs, and the quote was very clear; every service was broken down.
They were able to get started within a couple weeks of my inspection, which was surprising considering how many people are doing renovations these days.
Tim and his crew were very professional and courteous; they always wore booties when inside the house, and kept a clean workspace. I was away from the house while they were working, but my neighbors all mentioned how polite and quiet they were.
Tim kept me informed every step of the way, and even found me opportunities to save when possible; I never felt upsold or talked down to.
The final work looks organized and neat, and they took away all old pipes, as well as cleaned up the areas they worked in.
I highly recommend Tim, and I will definitely be calling him when I have additional work to be done.

Our sewer line was blocked, but who to call?  

Looked for plumbers on a few sites, went to the Yellow Pages, and called Counsil Plumbing. Explained the problem to Valerie who was very receptive to our plight, and we made an appointment for that afternoon. Mike arrived as promised, saw the clean-outs, and told us that it was our street clean-out where the problem was. So I called the SJ Emergency Public Works number and told them about my sewer backup. They came out that afternoon and fixed the problem.

Thank you, Mike (and Valerie)!! Always refreshing to find a professional who will take the time to tell it straight, and that gets a recommended review from me! Here's my 4 star vote for Counsil Plumbing and who will be my first call next time, for any of his services. Your card is now in our phone book, so we don't have to search for a source next time.  Read the other reviews like we did!

Pretty great! I called them in the evening looking to get a small job done same-day. I had low hopes anyone could do this on such short notice, but  to my surprise, they were able to get to my place in just 25 minutes! That's impressive service right there.

The technician was super friendly and a great communicator, making the whole experience stress-free. They took the time to explain what they were doing and did a good and detail oriented job, cleaning up after themselves. The plumber was also very efficient, completing the job well under an hour without any delays.

Admittedly, the price was much higher than I expected, but given the level and speed of service that I received, it was acceptable. I was also given the quote before work began, which is fair.

Overall, I would highly recommend this plumber to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality service. They showed up lightning fast, were excellent communicators, worked quickly, and delivered top-notch service that, while pricey, was high quality.

Wow, customer beware. this place is a major scam. i had a sewer block and back up issue this morning. shower backing up, toilet backing up, and having lived in my house for 20 years, i knew the issue. i needed someone to snake out from the clean out in front of the house, that's just 6 feet from the house. i've had to do this a number of times over the years as my house was built in mid 50's. Elite Rooter has a $69 coupon on their website. the technician, Erick, arrives, has me put showers on and flush toilets and it ALL backs up again, like i'm lying about what is going on. He asks a bunch of questions on age of pipes, yada yada, before he tries and snakes out. He is unable to snake out sewer line and calls expert technician. this is taking 2 hours from when Erick first shows up. This new 'expert' puts a camera down the line and says there is a break / gap in pipe, provides me a $3900 estimate and wants me to sign to start work.. of course i boot them, call another pluming company who came out in 30 minutes.. and 15 minutes later the damn line is snaked and the sewer line is working perfectly fine !!!! what a bait and switch! these guys are a scam. stay away !

Had our old cast iron sewer pipes replaced after 60+ years.  Great service,  on time, friendly. Reasonable price, beat the competition. Cleaned up each night and had us reconnected with little down time.  Explained fully what the issues were and how to resolve. Russell, Dom and rest of team were fantastic. Would definitely use them again.

Everything was great! Our water heater started leaking on a Tuesday night - Eric came out Wednesday morning for a free estimate and completed the install later that day.

I highly recommend JTR Plumbing and we have already scheduled them to come back and re pipe our home!

He's super responsive, very professional, very thorough, very fast, respectful, communicative, gave us a fair quote, got the work done quickly, and the quote was 100% accurate. No leaks, no problems, work was done right the first time. Shane's a great worker, definitely knows his stuff, and did a really great job for us. Can't praise him enough.

Got a slap leak in the kitchen and decided to repipe the whole house. They are able to schedule me to do the job right away, which is very important as I don't want to deal with the leaks any longer. Leo did a great job and try to limit the cuts. At the end, only cut dry walls off one of my back to back bathroom, and didn't have to cut any of my bathroom tile.  Did a great job cleaning up. They are on time and responsive to my text messages. Highly recommend.

John was courteous (called when he was running late), kind (took his shoes off when he entered my home), excellent communication, honest (he showed me the problems and offered solutions and prevention advice), and has very reasonable pricing.  He will be called the next time I have any plumbing needs for my home and I would recommend him to my family and friends.

I recently used them to re-pipe entire duplex unit in San Jose. The work also included installation of new tubs, showers and connecting dishwashers, installing faucets etc.

This FANTASTIC team was true to the name. They gave the best bid and did an excellent work. Highly recommended and I will use them again if the opportunity arises.

Once more thing...Their secretary Jasmin is one of the most pleasant and polite person. Always looked forward to speaking to her when needed to call.

Able came out to send a camera down to inspect the main sewer to the street, cost $260. The tech couldn't get the camera to make the turn through the toilet drain (toilet removed) so went on the roof. Told me the sewer line had a large bow in it and that was the reason for my backup. They suggested I have the main replaced, house was built in 1959 so seemed reasonable. I was supposed to get an estimate but no one ever called me back, even after I called them to enquire - two weeks later. Ended up calling Roto-Rooter. They cleared the sewer and re-ran the camera, no bow in the sewer but clearly sewer line needed to be replaced. Oh, and roto-rooter was able to send the camera through the open toilet drain.

Israr was prompt, accurate in his diagnosis of our plumbing issue -- although, admittedly, it was a simple problem -- came over with his assistant and fixed the problem with minimum of fuss. He's a straight-shooter, doesn't try any sleazy techniques, does his work professionally. No wonder he has so many 5-star ratings here. Don't hesitate to call him for your plumbing issues.

We've used John for most of our basic plumbing tasks for a few years now. He is always reliable, knowledgeable, and affordable. There are few, if any, plumbing jobs he can't do.
He is local, which makes it convenient for us since he's just minutes away.
We will continue to use him in the future and recommend him to anyone looking for plumbing and handyman tasks.

We had our whole bathroom system back up in our home. Grey water in the bathroom shower and bath. We have used this company almost every other year for this same issue with our old clay pipes and roots growing through. It was usually just snaking the system and it would clear.

Now the plumber and the other person that showed up were nice, but it seemed like we were convincing them to try every avenue to help our situation. It was like they were trying to check off boxes as fast as they could to get out here.

After they were trying to snake the shower drain which seemed like 15 mins. They said that the head on their snake was too big to go around the corners of our pipes from the drain. So they didn't have to tool to do the job? But then I was still charged when it's not my fault they did not have the right tools.

Next step they said is to go under the house and asked if I wanted them to do that. I of course said yes I need this fixed I have a one year onle in the house and I can't live like this. After he was out from under the house he showed me the leaks in our system. I had mentioned how they use to snake the drain from the roof. He said he could but because I have a wood shingle roof he doesn't think he can. I explained to him again we have used this company almost every other year since we rented here 12yrs. They have snaked the pipe before, and we hired this company to put the clear out. (Main was clear drains were clogged still) The plumber called his supervisor and he kept saying but look at the roof like he was hoping his supervisor would say don't do it. Even after he said it was ok for his plumber to do it he stated again about the roof.

Once on the roof there are 2 spouts they snaked only one saying it was the right one and they don't need to do the other one. I hope they were right, I would have checked both just in case. After this, I was left in not only the same spot but messier then it was before. They were here for an hour and a half barely spent time snaking the drain, went under the crawl space, then on the roof in that short amount of time. You have to account for they had to reel the snake back in using our garage plug before they even started the job. This was after fiddling with it in front of their van. Almost like they spent more time trying to reel in the snake then actually putting it in the drain. Then all the time in between to prepare to check the next box as fast as possible getting different clothes on to go under the house etc. I was told by the plumber before he went on the roof when I asked him what our next step was, he said it was to have your landlord to get someone to fix it. I was so confused because who else do I call to fix a plumbing issue but a plumber which is who I called.

After the roof, I was told there was nothing they could do today. That at 4:57pm I was told they would have to come back tomorrow to cut the pipe and it would be $3,000. I understand the plumber doesn't make the prices but he is part of the face of the company. The face he showed me the day of Nov 30th was one of not trying and going through the steps as fast as possible. I have all the receipts of getting the call from the company at 2:46pm for a 30 min arrival time. So from that time to 4:47pm all that was done.

Not only did I feel like I have to pep talk the plumbers to try every avenue to help me. Saying I can't live like this, my daughter can't live like this, is there really nothing else that you can do. Almost pleading with them, but I also got charged $177 to clean up, wash off my driveway and call someone else to pay them to actually do the job. Very disappointing experience with a company I've used for more then a decade, but probably wont ever use them again. Sorry but you were not my Rooter Hero this time around.

I ended up calling a plumber that employs himself from Pop N Go. He spent an hour snaking our drains putting in some effort he got the clog out. He even rinsed my shower and bathtub clean and wiped every surface down. Now that is the service we need.

On another note when was showing the plumber our issues we were having. Explaining how the landlords don't like to pay for regular maintenance or large fixes. Then he asked me if they were Asian. I awkwardly said no. Just a weird thing to ask and make that prejudicial assumption that made me feel uncomfortable.

Had a problem with tree roots intertwined in drain. This company charged me triple what I have paid in the past. Then they wanted to go under house to check piping... Never again. Good Luck.

Got a quote, not cheap; guy comes in and tells it will be double the original quote plus no warranty on the repair.
I refused, he left his tools in the backyard and didn't even recognize it until I call the office.
