We contacted Glendale Welding based on prior reviews and BBB ratings.  Getting an estimate during the pandemic proved challenging, after 4 failed attempts I called Larry and he scheduled, arrived promptly, sketched the job  and walked us through the process.  Composite wood gates are a challenge because the slat product is in high demand with little surplus.  He quickly went to work, and was able to secure enough product for our project.   From quote to install less than 3 weeks. He also hauled away our old gates at no charge.  We are very pleased with the look, functionality of our new entry and RV gates.

Michael, I do appreciate your interpretation of what happened yesterday.
Now please read below the numbered comments in caps to see what really happened.

Dear Mr. Mikos...

I have read your review and I am extremely sorry for your experience yesterday.
Having spoken to my installer(Buzz) who was at your home yesterday and my office manager (Josie)
to hear their explanation as well of what took place,I would like to address your comments on a point by point basis.

First of all I would like to say that we as a company are very concerned about inconveniencing our customers.
We always try to be on time with our installations and our installers are instructed to call the customer if they are running late.After speaking with my installer he explained to me that he arrived at your home between 7:45 AM and 8:00 AM. My scheduler showed me the schedule for yesterday and you were scheduled for a window of 7-9 AM. We always schedule a two hour window when booking an installation. It has been our company practice since inception. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding as to the time frame but the installer would have called you if he could not arrive by 9:00 AM. The reason we did not just cancel your installation was because we would have preferred to install your door yesterday and the weather in different parts of the valley can be very different. It might be sunny at our location and pouring at yours. It can clear up and if it did we would have been able to install your door.

When the installer was at your home and it was pouring and windy outside, he said he told you that he would call you later in the day if the weather cleared up and he would come back to your home to install the door.

1) WRONG - HE SAID THAT HE WOULD CALL ME BY 1:00PM AND NEVER DID.

He said that you told him it would be fine and to please give you 30 minutes notice if he was going to return.

2) WRONG AGAIN - I SAID FOR HIM TO CALL ME 30 MINUTES BEFORE HE PLANNED TO ARRIVE.

He checked the weather reports for Fountain Hills continuously after he left you and they kept saying severe storm warnings and it never cleared up. That is the reason he did not call you back to install the door yesterday.

3) WRONG AGAIN -THE WEATHER WAS FINE FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON.

He did notify Josie at our office to contact you to reschedule the installation once he knew he would not be coming back. Josie said she did call you and spoke to you twice to re-schedule the installation at a time convenient for you and that you told her you would call her back with a time. She is waiting to hear back from you.

4) WRONG YET AGAIN _ NOBODY CALLED ME. I CALLED YOUR OFFICE AT 3:00PM WONDERING WHERE YOUR INSTALLER WAS. JOSIE DID CALL ME AN HOUR OR SO AFTER THAT TO RESCHEDULE.
I WAS NOT ABOUT TO LOSE ANOTHER DAY OF WORK.

Once again please accept my apology for any misunderstandings that may have occurred but I can't apologize for the weather. There were storm and tornado warnings all day yesterday and we were inundated with cancellations and re-schedules.

5) DON'T TRY TO INSTALL DOORS DURING SEVERE WEATHER.

We do everything in our power to make dealing with our company a pleasant experience and sincerely value and respect our customers and them taking the time to be at home during an installation.

Once again, I am sorry this happened to you but I can assure you the door and the installation will be beautiful when it is finished.

6) YEAH, I'M SURE THAT IT WILL BE BE JUST BEAUTIFUL BANGING AROUND IN A PICKUP TRUCK ALL DAY IN THE POURING RAIN.

I called security garage door to install a complete set of new doors. Frank was so professional and did an amazing job(my doors look beautiful!) My neighbor also chose to use them to fix their broken opener and they were very pleased as well. I would definitely refer this company because of their great customer service and will be using them again as needed.

I can not say enough good things about Toro Construction. They were prompt, the job was done in the quoted time frame, the cost was reasonable, the workers were polite, cleaned up after themselves and did a professional job. They needed to come back out and fix something minor and it was done quickly. Dan was there to answer all of my questions and supervised the job they did. Very happy with the job from start to finish.

Great response and quality of work was exceptional.   Created a beautiful courtyard gate 6 ft wide x 9 ft tall.  About 3-4 weeks from quote to complete install.  Would recommend these guys for any welding need

I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Samantha Tindell of First Impression's Customer Care Department. Samantha took the time to address to what appeared to be an initial misunderstanding from Sales regarding the movement of my doorbell to accommodate installation of our new security door (which by-the-way, my wife and I simply LOVE)!  Without going into too much detail, I was initially informed that I had no ($) recourse via company's liability provision when I noticed my doorbell did not work pursuant to said installation!   Notwithstanding, this did not sit well with me, as my wife and I had to purchase a new doorbell.  Samantha worked with First Impression upper management to address and resolve my concerns.  Based on her handling of the situation, I sincerely believe Samantha epitomizes the term customer satisfaction, restoring our positive First Impression!  We will not hesitate in referring this company to friends and neighbors for security doors!  Sincerely, Al and Natalie W.

I called All Pro and arranged for a quote. They came out and looked at the project, measured, and said that they would email me a quote later that day. This was on Friday the 31st of May. The following Monday I had not heard from them or received a quote. I sent a text message Monday evening to the person who gave the quote and he responded (cut and paste from text) Sorry for the delay, I haven't forgotten- I wasn't in the office over the weekend and I'm just getting caught up. I will have it to you first thing tomorrow morning. I responded no worries--thank you. I am writing this review a week later on Saturday June 8th and I did not receive a quote or ever hear back. How do companies like this stay in business? And if this is what they consider customer service before a sale, imagine the service once they have your money?! Proceed with caution with this outfit.

We have done 3 projects with Rob now. He has the best prices of anyone!  He is honest and checked on our job every day. His crews are great too!  If you need an RV gate or block wall Rob is the best!  I highly recommend him.

Wow! I can't say enough great things about Alpha. After getting a few outrageous quotes, I contacted alpha via project messaging on yelp. Not only did Vanessa contact me immediately, her tech (J) came out the same day in under an hour and was able to fix it in the same amount of time for a mere fraction of the cost. Even better, I got zero lies about how my door was on its last leg and a disaster waiting to happen, or that my how would complain about the fix because it would still show signs of damage like I did with the other companies. Instead, I see zero evidence that there was ever a dent and the door functions better than it did before! And all of that with an added year warranty on the work. Alpha proved everyone else a liar! Bought our pool barrier fence 4 years ago. Magna latch broke and Leonard came within two days and installed the newest model. Magna latch is lifetime guaranteed but it was great to have good service so many years later. Pool barrier looks after their customers.

Far From Average is the company to have your fence installed.We needed a second opinion on our pool fence after having a rough start with our first estimate, Bryan was quick to come by and give an estimate and help us know what would work best for our situation.  We weren't sure how we wanted it to look or the height we wanted. From the start Bryan and his team were very knowledgeable and very helpful in making sure we got the Best for our situation. They will take care of you and find what is best for your situation. Would definitely recommend and are very happy with our results!

Mike is a true expert in his field. I've had him build me a few custom shipping and work tables. They have all turned out exactly how I wanted them/exactly what I asked for. He's accurate, quick, and easy to work with. If you need any kind of metal fab work done, Mike is your guy.

Ralph and his apprentice did a great job fixing our gate brace that was broken.  He kept in great communication with us, he was on time and finished quickly.

Great job in losing my business and all respect. I spoke with Juan at 130pm for someone to come out to give me a quote on a good bit of residential fencing and some gates. I tried to make the appt for the next day, but was talked into a same day appt. 1.5 hrs of waiting with no call at the moment.

What a waste of my time! Trying to give local companies my business duringthe coronovirus is difficult. This is the 4th or 5th company to not show/no call/no follow up on quote/etc.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS JERK! After slight confrontational phone call with this guy Gary I reluctantly still had him come to our home for an estimate on some gates and iron work, only because his work looked very nice however the guy is the rudest SOB  I've ever met as a business owner, after 5 mins of talking about ideas of what I wanted I realized I was getting nowhere with anything we wanted as far as what we were looking for and came to the fast conclusion that this guy was going to be absolutely miserable deal to and actually had to tell him to Ieave my home, the guy is a joke and any positive reviews on here for him are probably fake. I could not believe how awful this individual was to deal with. I had another fence/gate guy come to my home later the same day and was a dream to do business with
