While replacing the previous owner's washer and dryer in the home we moved into 6 months ago, the cold water valve started leaking badly in the washing machine outlet box.  Looking at the poor condition of the valves, I realized that this would require work under the drywall to access pipes and replace the unit.  Yikes!  So I requested four quotes using the Yelp quote request service .  Giovani, owner of San Jose Drain and Main, was the first of the four to reply and immediately provided a reasonable quote.  Luckily, he and Nick were able to come out the next day after I decided they should do the work, which is not common, as others needed a week lead time.  Since our home was built 20 years ago for a washer on the right and dryer on the left, and we now have the reverse configuration, I asked Giovani to revise the quote to move the box to the left a few feet, which would require moving pipes through a stud in the wall.  Bottom line is, Giovani provided a reasonable quote for the additional work and they got right to it, doing a beautiful job of moving water and drain pipes, and installing a new washer box with water hammer arrestor.  Giovani tested our water pressure and discovered that it was much too high--120 PSI--so I have also had him install a pressure regulator to bring it down to 75 PSI.  High pressure undoubtedly contributed to the valve failing and a past serious water leak that was disclosed when we bought the home.  Giovani also noticed the water heater drain pipe was not installed properly so he just fixed it gratis.  Giovani and Nick are highly professional and they obviously enjoy doing good work and engaging with customers.  This business gets my highest recommendation. You can't go wrong to check them out first when you need plumbing work.

Our water heater started rusting (I noticed that the water was a little brown). After waiting a month for two other plumbers to give me estimates (what's so hard about either following through or telling me they don't want the job is beyond me), our water heater started leaking on a Saturday evening, so I had to shut it off and drain it, and we were now stuck.

I called several plumbers the following morning. Mostly I got recordings. I left several messages. One company that called me back rather quickly was EJ Plumbing. Manny, the owner, said they could come first thing Monday morning and look at the job and probably start the same day.

Later that day Manny called me back and said he was dropping his son off in Cupertino and could come by in a few minutes if I'd like. I said, Yahoo! He came by with his family in tote and looked at the job, gave me a quote on the spot, and said they would begin and finish the work the next day.

We had a tankless system put in to replace our old tank and also had a tiny tank put into our kitchen on the other end of the house so we didn't waste so much water waiting for the hot to come through (this was at my request, not an up-sale). He tied the tankless into the small tank, which works pretty well (it's hot, then goes to warm for a while, then back to hot).

They charged $3600 for the whole job, including splitting off a gas line from under the home. I don't know if this is a lot or about right, but at this point the service they gave me was worth what they charged, and they were very professional and competent.

They did not clean after themselves as much as I'd like inside the home, leaving some mud and footprints from their boots on the hardwood floors.

All in all, however, a 5-star job, and a big thank you for coming through so quickly.

Trieu has come to my house 3-4 times for different jobs including installing a new water line for a new refrigerator ice maker, fixing a downed drain line under a kitchen, leaking plumbing under the floor of a bathroom, etc. He is the only plumber I ever call now. He is very professional, very fair, takes time to explain everything, shows and leaves you with pictures, and gives great advice.

Most recently when we had a bathroom leak and had water damage, he came out on request, inspected the plumbing, and presented possible scenarios of how we could deal with the water damage. I value his opinions/advice and he is always extremely fair with pricing.

Tai was quick to respond to our repair request. He arrived 20 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. He troubleshooted and fixed the leak within 10 minutes. After checking the repair is fine,  he also explained the issue and how to prevent it.
Overall, he's very helpful and efficient in getting the job done.

Marvin was sent by the company, and he did a great job. He explained to me in detail the problem with my toilet tank, and gave me options of repair, so I could choose what fit my needs best. I would definitely call this company again if I have a plumbing issue.

They were fast and did great work.  I called them out and within an hour they were at my house and within 2 hours they had a water heater replaced and took away the old one.

Marlon promptly responded to my concern regarding a drained clog in my bathroom sink. He came out next day and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He put on shoe covers before coming into my home, and cleaned up any mess that was made. He also addressed a slow drain concern we had in our kitchen sink the same day. Overall, I had a great experience with Marlon and I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for plumbing services!

City of Sewer did an excellent job with a trenchless sewer main replacement AND repiping under the house.  The job was finished extremely fast.  Only took 1 day to repipe and do trenchless, and then less than a full day to close the concrete in our driveway once the inspection was done.  

Steven was very communicative, responded promptly by phonecall and text, and had the most competitive price of the quotes I got from different companies.

Great service!  We had a clogged, leaky kitchen sink on a Sunday afternoon.  I put in a call and Ed called back immediately.  He came out within 2 hours and snaked the pipe and fixed the leak.

Responsive and clear about what needed to be done and pricing.  On time and did clean work.

Suddenly my kitchen and Landry room got flooded because of clogged drains. I tried to fix those by myself but it was too much for me, then called this company as they were the fastest plumber responded back to me via Yelp.

They mentioned it is going to take 45-60 min to come, but they arrived in 30 min which is great. They behaved in very professional manner, investigated the root course quickly.
They needed to cut a pipe and had to try snaking 2times with different sizes to make the pipe go through in the end, overall I am totally satisfied with their service.

For the past couple of months our toilet had a slow drain, and despite every effort to plunge it and use gels and the like to get it to drain properly, nothing would work.  This past Saturday we finally called Drain Masters and they showed up within 1/2 hour of the initial call, and within about 5-10 minutes he quickly figured out that the toilet had a problem.  He was able to quickly recommend a new toilet for us, and after researching it online it was definitely one of the better ones out there.  Great service from a knowledgeable person with fair pricing.
